The Not So Perfect One
|
Night came. As dusk falls and the darkness take over the sky. It seemed that the world had stopped. The stars move into place to form constellations and glimmering night sky. Likewise, the moon shines with its entire calming ambience upon the lake. The lake in turn, reflected the moon and stars like a perfect mirror. Luke stepped upon the gazebo. It was a calming night. Luke missed the view a little. Where everything was peaceful and calm, no worries, no distractions, only reconciliation. Luke relaxed a little by sitting in the corner of the gazebo, admiring the scenery before he started praying. Symbolum hyacintho In Custos Lunae Gubernator hyacintho In Tutator Audi Latus Ut virtus benedicite mihi... After the short praying, he just simply enjoyed the view, calming his mind as well as reminiscing about the pass. What once was and what one will become are two faces of the same coin. So fate plays a cunning game on everyone. Luke is no exception. |

Hayzel walked silently along the shore of Lake Hyakuji, watching the stars reflect across the smooth surface of the water. As a cool chill swept across his skin, he shyly began to rub his arm and stared up into the sky. Since yesterday he felt a little off of sorts. His time with the enigmatic boy had occupied his thoughts throughout the day. Fumbling into his pocket, he brought out the slip of paper that the male had slipped into his pocket as he slept against the tree the evening before. Gingerly he held it to his chest. Apart of him wanted to call the other, but he didn't have the self-confidence to dial the number. Basking in the moonlight, the boy sighed and made a silent wish that he could some day have enough courage to be more forward with people. As he finished, a sudden gust of wind began to blow against him causing the slip of paper to break free of his fingers and escape into the night. Frantic the boy began to run after it, outstretching his digits in hopes he could catch it between them. Running to the school's gazebo, he gave a lunge to catch the paper then stopped in his tracks as it whizzed past a familiar head of silver hair. "L-luke," he gasped breathlessly.

The Not So Perfect One

Enjoying the view and ignorant of anything in the outside world, Luke paid no attention to anything until a paper flew past him which he quickly caught using his hands, due to the essential training he had in the Vatican, if you threw up cards and told him to catch the Ace of Spaces, he could do it. So this is considered small fry compared to what he went through. Suddenly after he caught the paper, a familiar face appeared. It was Hayzel, looking shocked and a tad bit tired after catching the note that flew by. Luke paid no attention to Hayzel for a moment and shifted his attention to the note. Once he read what was inside, his world felt like it ended, if given his own imaginary world, Luke's jaw would drop and scream Oh my God for the whole night. “Why did I get myself into this?” He sighed for a moment before standing up and giving the paper back to Hayzel and continued to watch the lake. It would be best to be at ease and figure out a way to reply to this awkward situation for Luke. “Why are you here at this hour?” asked the boy who never turned his gaze on Hayzel but instead remained steadfast in his decision to look at the lake. |

Hayzel blushed a bit as the boy began to read the paper. After it was returned to him, the boy shyly made his way to one of the pillars of the gazebo and lightly leaned against it while softly saying,"Thank you." Embarrassed, he gently curled the paper back into his hand then once more held it against his chest trying to figure out what possessed him to keep the scrap of paper from the previous night. Hearing the question, the boy had to actively think about his reason for being out so late. For some reason he couldn't remember why he'd left his room. If it was just to get some air, wouldn't he have just gone up to the roof instead of coming all the way out here. Retracing his steps, his mind played images in reverse, of him walking along the lake side then back to him listlessly drifting through the gardens all the way until his mind reached the old sakura tree at which the two had met before. His cheeks once more returned to a shade of pink. Perhaps he'd subconsciously hoped that they'd be reunited if he'd visited the tree then moved on into his stroll when his venture turned out to be fruitless. "Ah. I'm not sure....I guess I just needed to take a walk," he said while closing his eyes, "What about you? Why are you here?" |

Luke could somewhat feel the shyness posed by the boy. He also took a peak at how the boy looked. A short glance revealed that he was blushing but on a very minor scale. Looking back, he didn’t regret having slept on a guy but he was thankful that Hayzel didn’t do anything to him. As Hayzel posed his question after the short thanks which Luke accepted with a nod, he find himself piqued with the true reason for him being at the gazebo. It was as if he was looking at himself in the mirror and interrogating himself to gain the truth. “Heh.. Well lets just say I like the view of the lake..” Luke replied calmly as he continued to stare at it. It feels so different and death so apparent to the change of life. Death is a permanent solution to all ones problems but sometimes why is it chosen? Why not other alternatives? These questions flew by Luke’s mind as if it was a bullet train passing by, trying to blow him away. “Well.. So what is your power? I believe almost all Hyakuji students have some special power that lay within them..” Asked the curious boy as he turned his attention to the Neko. It was still rare to see a Neko but it was maybe due to the number of shikigami’s in Japan. |

Hayzel blushed deeply as the other asked him his power. "Well, I can purify objects with my rosary...and I'm able to defend myself with it," he said softly," And well...I can receive memories from others." Normally he would never tell others about his power, but for some reason he felt as if he couldn't lie to Luke. Shyly he took a few steps toward the other, wanting to be in the male's line sight. He bit his bottom lip as he decided between telling him the stipulations about his power. Knowing that the male would probably ask he gently grabbed on to another pillar and hid his face. "That is...I can receive their memories through a kiss." |

"I see.." Luke said after gaining the information he needed. Regardless, no thanks was given as it was merely a question. Luke's way go responding to kindness is basically action. As he stared into the lake, he lifted his hand and wrote something in mid air. The word was glowing bright yellow in colour and the fluctuating energy within the words gave off a beautiful glimmer. Suddenly, a burst of wind came and darkness filled the area before the area dropped light shaped orbs like snow around the area. "My power is basically simple.. What i write becomes.." Luke said as he remained calm at the situation and after awhile the light orbs vanish and revealed back the original view of the moon again. "Wanna follow? I'm going back to my room.. Going to be chilly as the night is getting late.." asked the friendly boy with a smile as he stood up and walked to Hayzel. |

Hayzel watched in amazement as the male sprawled words into the sky then watched as they dispersed into the air. "That's so pretty," he said while stepping closer to watch the balls of fire fade off into the distance. Hearing the boy's offer, Hayzel began to blush lightly. "Ah, go..to your room," he asked. The boy blushed more then began to look around, as if he was looking for someone else that the other could be talking to. "Well, I suppose that would be alright...if you really want me to," he said while shyly putting his hands behind his back. |

"Heh.." Luke said as he heard the final few words that came out of Hayzel. Luke then decided to walk towards his room now, ignoring Hayzel. If he wanted to come, then he'll follow Luke anyway. "Well it seems you don't feel like coming.. See ya then.." Those were the last few words that came out of Luke. He wondered if Hayzel will come running towards him. Then, Luke smirked and shook his head. "Why am I thinking of this? Hayzel is a guy.. I'm a guy.. Sigh.. What is god playing here.." Questioned the boy in his heart, trying to find a place within the endless memories and impossible desires. Slowly, he waved as he walked and disappeared into the scenery but somehow Luke still had that small wish that Hayzel would come, making it less lonely. |

Hayzel stood still, a bit stunned that the other seemed so dismissive. Trembling the boy clenched to the pillar of the gazebo, unsure what to do. He really did want to go with the other to his room, but Luke seemed to have taken his shyness as a no. Maybe it was an empty offer, or possibly he didn't answer him fast or loud enough. Feeling compelled to stay with the other, he quickly turned around then ran after Luke. Catching up to the man he reached out then delicately grabbed his wrist in his hands. "Ah..I'm sorry. I-I do want to come with you," he said shyly, "Can I? Please?" The boy's eyes looked up into the other's, yearning for a yes.

"Err... Er..." Luke said in shock while rubbing his hair and twitching a little in his eyes. His eyes were somewhat closed at that time but it was still twitching a little. Quickly determining what he should do but since he was the one who invited Hayzel in the first place. It would be best to just take him. "Alright, Alright.. but could you please let go of my hand?" Luke told the other as it was extremely weird for a guy to hold a guy by the hand. It made Luke embarrassed and somewhat turned his face to a pale pink colour. |

Hayzel blushed back before gently releasing the male's wrist from his grasp. "I-I'm sorry," he apologized. Straightening up a little, he gave the boy a shy smile and began to follow him back to his room. This was the most forward he'd ever purposely been with someone. A little embarrassed, he made sure to keep some distance between Luke and himself. Looking up into the sky, he fixated his eyes upon the moon, letting his pale blushing face and his crystal blue eyes be exposed to the gentle light.
