As Kuro spoke, Kinclex's hand shot out and fired a large ball of black lightning at his feet, powerful enough to create a small enough crater. Age didn't matter in an organisation like this and Kinclex wasn't about to be talked down to by some decrepid fossil. "Instead of making cute little remarks, make some use of yourself and start herding the others." Kinclex watched the passengers of the crate.

He looked away briefly at Kuro, throwing him the ring with the key attached to it Kuro so that he could attend to the other crates while he sorted out this crate of prisoners. He still couldn't help but wonder, looking at their faces and bodies, why they had been kept imprisoned for so long. Was the Wo-Shing using them as experiments? Slaves? At any rate, it didn't matter. What did matter was getting this over and done with.

kids... you could always count on them to be stupid at the most inappropriate of moments.

Eiji's eyes were fixed on the cargo even as he quieted the men down. Despite his usual arrogant demeanor at the beginning of the 'mission', as soon as the containers were starting to open and the people started coming out, Eiji's expression and behavior changed drastically. Unlike other trials for the aspiring members of the organization where he was always relaxed and almost bored-looking, this time Eiji seemed extremely serious and focused on every detail of the operation.

This time it was no fake attacker or a simple eliminating a contained, unarmed traitor, or disposing of bodies... this was a real job and for some reason it seemed important.

The people seemed like they had all been struck by the plague. They seemed way too weak to walk, they moved slowly and painfully, struggling to take a single step. The children cried with whatever voice they managed to produce with their seemingly airless breath. As more of them came out, the ones at the farthest end of the container, they looked as if they had been physically abused or tortured. Some of them even lacked a limb here, an eye there, one of them had his ears cut off for some reason.

Suddenly a woman fell down. She was pregnant, most probably with a dead child inside her.

Kuro stared down at his stick of cinnamon, wishing it was a cigarette with all of his might. He had been forced to quit smoking, and lately it was driving him crazy, especially since he had just come back from America, where practically everyone smoked. He ground angrily at the stick of cinnamon, the stick sounding like a brittle bone as he cracked through it in his frustration. Breaking right through it, Kuro stared at it for a second before shaking his head, sticking the remaining half in his mouth again and calming down.

One of the trainees had been saying something to Kuro, even shot something at the ground near him, but he ignored it, knowing that Eiji would deal with it if it was a problem. The keys the boy threw flew straight at Kuro's head, who wasn't paying attention, and just as they seemed about to strike him, they flew straight through him, landing with a splat in a large pile of dog shit. If the boy wanted to use the keys to open any more containers, he would have to go retrieve them himself.

Kuro had worst problems to deal with, as the jagged edge of the cinnamon stick decided to take advantage of his split attention, and led a mounting attack on his lower gum. As the thing stabbed brutally into the flesh of his mouth, Kuro stood up, swearing loudly, spitting out the rebellious stick. Kuro balled his fists up and stalked towards the offending spice, ready to visit divine wrath upon it, when a voice cut through the air, stopping him in his tracks.

"Enough."

Kuro glanced nervously over at Eiji, wondering if he was talking to him or not. Usually when he got angry, Kuro was the cause, but with the way the lighting was he couldn't tell. Deciding to play it safe, Kuro returned to the side of the engine car, crossing his arms over his chest and watched the trainees once more. Kuro kept his face impassive as he looked over the people attempting to exit the car. These people looked like war criminals straight from a concentration camp, some of them worst. Kuro was curious how these new recruits would react to the atrocities they would be seeing, and an image flashed through Kuros head of when he had first been recruited. A girls face swam into his vision, one of the failures of the first test. Kuro had literally torn her apart that day, after he had been ordered to kill her and his beast decided to take over. Burying her had been such a pain in the ass...

Flies buzzed around the inner compartments, feasting on the blood of some of the hapless victims. Puss oozed out of deep lacerations, torn skin, and vicious abrasions, creating a weird stench in the air. Human feces and vomit was strewn over the floor, mixed with blood and puss, creating one of the most vile smells ever to cross a persons nose. Even a grizzled war veteran would blanch at the sight and smell of the insides, and Kuro's nose wrinkled in disgust as a small bereze blew the smell his way. Determined to keep his dinner down, he threw another stick of cinnamon in his mouth and tied a handkerchief over his face, blocking as much of the smell as he could. He would be glad once this job was over and he could get back to his house to take a long, hot bath.

Namida had stood out of the way hiding in the shadows, opting to observe for a while before joining in. The events of the past few years of her life had taught her that when dealing with people like this it was always best not to assume that they weren't going to kill you. She let the boy go in first to inspect the cargo, after seeing it was safe to proceed she made her way towards where he stood.

She moved into the eerie light walking briskly her head held high. her shoes clicked on the ground as she made her way towards the sorry bunch of pitiful souls Eiji-sama had rounded up. Namida glanced from the putrid smelling people to Kuro, who seemed to be having some sort of battle with whatever he was eating. She sighed, momentarily wondering if living with him would hurt her chances at joining. her eyes then moved to Eiji-sama, the man still made her blood run cold. it was obvious the crime lord was not in the mood to play games so Nami stepped forward ready to prove herself.

Surprisingly Nami was not in her typical 'Tomo' get up tonight. In fact she was dressed in a long sleeved black kimono adorned with purple and blue butterflies, much like she used to wear when her father was alive. She saw no point in disguising herself that nigh, Kuro and Eiji-sama both knew who she was, and well there wasn't a chance in hell any of father's rival yakuza were here. She walked past the blue haired boy, shoving him a bit to the side as she moved past.

"what are you an idiot? standing there and staring like that. Also you don't talk to cattle nicely and expect it to do what you want, treat animals like animals." she said staring at him sternly. She then turned her attention to the crowd. "Listen up you worthless piles of shit, get off your sorry asses and move it to the trailers like you were told to." she said in a loud commanding voice that seemed to have an edge of anger in it. "Fall behind or attempt escaping and you will suffer in ways unimaginable" She then walked over to the presumably pregnant woman who had fallen. with less compassion than a snake devouring a baby bird she grabbed he woman's hair and wrenched her to her feet. "Get up worthless piece of trash." she snapped half dragging her out towards the trailers.

Kinclex huffed. This had just become a lot more troublesome. The slaves weren't moving and from the looks of it, it appeared like they'd almost forgotten to walk. Kinclex shook his head. They were wasting time and he wanted to get this over with as soon as possible. He could hear Eiji was getting perturbed about this and if that was the case, then he wasn't kidding around.

It would seem Kinclex would have to get his hands dirty after all. He took his coat off, placing it on the train platform and then moving towards the open storage container. He looked at Namida, "If they're not going to come, then we'll have to take them." Reaching down, Kinclex picked up the pregnant woman who collapsed.

He slung her over his shoulder, her weight being impossibly light for a pregnant woman. Hyperccelerating to the transports, Kinclex placed her down. "Get in. Crawl, walk, I don't care. Just do it before I kick you in there." Looking back at the others, he shouted out, "I won't show sympathy to the rest of you! Get moving or else I'm going to throw you from there to here!"

As Kinclex put the woman down and cam back, more people started to fall. The other men started opening the other containers since no one else was doing it and the amount of people outside tripled within a couple of minutes.

"Hey, what the hell is going on?"

One of the men shouted as a few others rushed towards the truck where the pregnant woman had been put.

"She's having a seizure or something!"

A man climbed into the truck as Eiji signaled him. Meanwhile the other prisoners were starting to wander off slowly away from the train in random directions. They seemed to lack any notion of where they were going.

Children cried... loudly in the distance. The entire place stench with the foul smell of death and among the walking prisoners were a few... actually more and more every time, that looked pregnant. Upon closer inspection Kuro, Kinclex and Nami would realize that many of those 'pregnant' ones were male.

"Round them up."

Eiji's tone was as cold as ever, but his orders seemed urgent now instead of merely bossy.

Kuro immediately snapped into a more serious mentality, jumping back into the engine of the train and grabbing a few things before hopping back out. His face was stony and impassive, his stride purposeful as he headed for the engine cars, pushing a few people who had wandered too far away back towards the cars. He didn't think Eiji would mind Kuro helping them since this was not only a test but an important mission as well. Kuro had hoped he could leave this to the new recruits, but it seemed like they might be getting a bit over their head.

What Namida had said was 100% true, these people were like cattle, and they were carrying something very important to the Wo Shing, and could not afford to be lost. When Kuro got to the cars, he silently helped usher people from the cars, depositing them on the ground and stepping back, keeping an eye out for wanderers. Kuro stood off to the side a bit, once again watching Namida and Kinclex to see what they would do next.

The foul stench of decay never really appealed to Seth, contrary to popular belief. Something about the sight and odor of human weakness sent an unpleasant shiver down his back. No, it wasn’t discomfort – he had been wrapped up in criminal schemes too long now for the sight to sicken him; it was something far more abstract, far less tangible, than that.

Seth swept his eyes across the stumbling women and men towards the Wo Shing applicants, and shrugged. This particular operation might have been his initial idea, but Eiji had assumed control over the execution of it – just as well too, for this was far more Eiji’s specialty than Seth’s. Seth’s preferred the penny-drop quiet of the darkness to let his skills fully manifest, not this debacle of moans and cries.

” "Get in. Crawl, walk, I don't care. Just do it before I kick you in there." Looking back at the others, he shouted out, "I won't show sympathy to the rest of you! Get moving or else I'm going to throw you from there to here!"

Ahhh, Kinclex. One for Eiji’s department, probably – same with Namida, it looked like. Unfortunate – it would’ve been nice to recruit a few more psychics to the Wo Shing. His musings were cut short by a quiet vibrate on his wrist alerting him to the time.

“This is taking too long…” Seth whispered, partially to himself, partially to those around him. And fuck, the way they were handling the merchandise was practically criminal in and of itself. Letting his own insidious powers rise inside of him, Seth let fall a slow torrent of power, surrounding the environment with an intangible cloud of his skill. Immediately, the zombie-like ‘escapees’ backed away and began to stumble back towards the transports. Heh, even half dead the human body has innate fear of, well, Fear.

Another vibration on his watch once again drew his attention to the present and he shot Eiji a look. This was taking too long for too precious a cargo.

Nami couldn’t help but notice that all the captives seemed to have deformed looking abdomens. ‘This a drug trafficking?’ she pondered as one of the pregnant looking men walked by. ‘But it seems sort of pointless to hide drugs in people like these, I mean if they were trying to hide the drugs wouldn’t they use normal looking people and not bother with shipping them like pigs?’ she frowned, this seemed off.

Suddenly a new man appeared; nami recognized him from the earlier meeting, though she didn’t know his name Kuro had told her that he was the co-leader. Nami had always thought Eiji gave off a bone chilling presence, but it seemed like with this new man she wasn’t the only one who felt it. The captives who had started to wander off moved back into the main group between the containers and the transports. “We’re getting nowhere like this….” She said irritated.

Nami grabbed a couple of nearly dead men and pushed them forward towards the trailers making sure not to push them hard enough to make them fall. She ushered them forwards much like one would usher a group of children around while grabbing more along the way moving them in the right direction. She looked over at her fellow applicant; he seemed to be able to move inhumanly fast. “Hey,” she called to Kinclex “you circle round and make sure none of them stray from the group, I’ll usher them into the trailers.” she finished all the while grabbing people and forcing them to move forward towards the trailers.

“Stupid animals…” she muttered in a disgusted tone as she picked a woman up by her hair guiding her forward a few steps until she began moving forward on her own in a zombie like fashion. Nami moved back towards the cars where the last of the cargo was being unloaded. “There must be a more efficient way of getting them to move other than just dragging them.” she said looking around for something, anything that would help. One of Eiji’s men came out wiping his forehead; Nami then saw what she was looking for. She hurried over to him grabbing him by his belt buckle. The man looked surprised to say the least as nami quickly spit out an “I’m gonna borrow this for a bit, come find me afterwards and I’ll return it ok?” before pulling his belt off and dashing back to the lingering captives before he could say a word.

She gripped the belt tightly in her hands as she strode up to the nearest one. She swung it hard striking it against the back of his leg; a loud cracking noise rang out as he stumbled forward. Since they reacted to fear that’s what she’d use, she may not have any sort of supernatural power but with this lot of pitiful souls a strong arm and a leather belt should be sufficient. Nami went on to the next one always making sure to only strike their legs or shoulders because the cargo was in their abdomens she figured this would be okay as long as she careful not to strike them there.

Kuro, it's KINCLEX not NICKLE XD

"What in hell's name..." This was certainly an unexpected occurance of seeing like some of the men looked preganant as well. When Nami had spoken, Kinclex had already been thinking the same thing. He gave her and nod and then used his speed to round up those who were moving away from the group, moving them back into it. He would pull those near the transports in when the herd was still together, breaking away from that job to round up any stragglers that broke off again. It was frustrating. Why were the men pregnant as well, were they carrying some sort of cargo inside them? Why were they in this condition and why in hell's name wouldn't they move faster!?

This was insane. Why was Eiji impregnating men? Some sort of evil fetish? And why was such precious cargo in such terrible condition? It was then, that Kinclex felt a familiar pressence, the bone chilling pressence that seemed to encompass everything in it's wake. Apparantly Seth had arrived. Kinclex huffed slightly, before returning to moving the people into the transports again.

"Eiji, how much more time do we have on the clock? At this rate I may have to start throwing them like I had said I would." In all honesty, with an operation this large, Kinclex was sure Eiji had it to a time limit.

Nickle, it's SETH not SHADE XD

As Eiji looked on he was pleased to see that despite their attitude problems the kids were able to focus and work together, and it seemed they could see the urgency of the situation. The kids also seemed to understand they needed to do whatever it took to finish their task quickly while taking care not to damage the goods, even if that meant they needed to beat the 'containers' into moving.

Seth was right though... this was taking far too long. The train had been delayed, even much more than what the estimated buffer time was. Their bodies were far too bloated already... they needed to do something quickly or they would lose the merchandise.

"We should have been done by now. Hurry up..."

Suddenly there was screaming coming from one of the trailers, then a gunshot. The other men ran towards the trailer where the first pregnant woman had been put, but before they could reach it the man's body was flung out and tossed to the ground... or what was left of it.

"We're out of time."

Eiji glanced briefly at Seth. They both knew what they had to do.

"Continue no matter what, I want them inside the trailers NOW!"

Eiji ran towards the commotion as the men started shooting. As he left, Kuro, Nami and Kinclex would notice how some of the people's bloated bellies were starting to move as if they actually carried a child inside them. A very restless, angry child.

"Continue no matter what, I want them inside the trailers NOW!"

Kuro flew into motion, shrugging off the items he had grabbed from the engine car. He was surprised the kids hadn't even bothered wondering what they were for, but it was too late for that now, they had to get this done. Kuro cursed under his breath, he didn't think it would take this long to get them into the containers. Something told him he should have stepped in sooner, regardless of what Eiji had told him before the mission. He realized this was supposed to be the new recruits test, but now they were all in danger, and the risk of being found out was at around 90%.

No one would miss the sounds coming from the train yard, and there were a lot of passengers waiting for their train that would be calling dispatch, wondering what was going on. He fingered the small radio on his hip, wondering when they would call for their "train operator" wondering what was going on. He wouldn't be able to provide a good excuse with all this screaming and yelling in the air.

"You can call me Kuro," he said to the recruits with a commanding voice. "Sparks, put your speed to some use and take this rope. Tie it around as many of these people as you can, and then start carrying those farthest away into the container," he said to Kinclex. He waved Namida over, eyeing the belt in her hands with a raised eyebrow for a second.

"Nami, I need you to keep an eye on these people, if you see even a HINT of anything breaking out, you destroy it. No one is dying here today, lets go," he said, securing the near end of the rope around his arms before starting to loop it around the nearest people's waist, below their stomach. The other end of the extremely long rope he tossed to Kinclex as he worked. He would just haul them all into the container like sides of meat, it would be much faster than individually running each one. He didn't have fancy speed or any kind of powers that would really help here other than his inhuman strength, so he would put it to good use.

Kuro glanced over at the trailer that Eiji was now running towards, shaking his head. As he reached down to loop the rope around one of the people, the thing inside stirred, the woman's belly distorting grotesquely. The beast inside of him stirred, outraged, but Kuro tried his best to suppress it until after the mission. Kuro's hair slowly crept black, his eyes darkening as the beast started to influence him. A burst of steam escaped his mouth as it cracked open in a large feral grin, an inhuman laugh escaping it. Kuro stepped roughly on the beast in his mind, getting on with the task at hand. The beast could do what it had to do later. He was glad he had lived with it for this long, years earlier it would have been impossible to stop it, but he was able to control it a bit now. He siphoned off the beasts power to his muscles, the tissue rippling underneath of his clothes. Slowly the crazed look left his face, and he hurried on, dragging the rope behind him.

”Belay that order”, Seth’s voice boomed out in an uncharacteristically loud voice, “You destroy one of those bodies, you answer to me.” His eyes narrowed in anger and his power lashed around him, whipping waves of Fear into the men and women surrounding him.

Fucking hell, where did Kuro think he got the authority to destroy some of these… things of his. The cost of development and even just the transportation was just about prohibitively high, and the thought that Kuro some blithely gave the power of destruction away was...

Whatever.

This was a recruiting mission, a testing mission – but it was also new grounds for this branch of the Wo Shing. The ‘cargo’ being carried was in deep demand, and the mere fact that selling them was illegal boosted prices for them. Most shied away from the business, partly due to the absolute sense of death that surrounded this job and, again, partly due to the price – but Wo Shing was up to the task.

Deciding to just finish the herding business, Seth started closing the initial cloud of power he had sent out, moving the bodies closer and closer to the transports. The recruits would merely have to push them in now.

Nami became increasingly nervous as time ran out and if became apparent that though whatever was inside the people’s abdomens was alive, it certainly was not a human baby.

Nami was a mix of contradicting thoughts and feelings. Her gut instincts told her, screamed at her to listen to Kuro. He was the man she trusted and she knew that her surviving this mattered to him more than the others. But her head commanded her to listen to Eiji’s partner. He was the higher up and could probably kill her far more easily than whatever it was they were transporting and probably would should she damage his cargo. After all to men like these Nami was nothing more than a disposable tool.

It seemed like they almost had the cargo in the trailers now. Nami Continued to usher them closer to the opening now pushing a bit more frantically. She beat at their backs demanding that they move faster, if anyone started to fall behind she’d just push them all the harder.

It would be a lie to say she wasn’t scared now and as the seconds ticked past she became more and more aware of just how weak and fragile she really was. ‘Please let us make it in time, I’m not ready to see my father gain just yet.’ She thought to herself.

GRAGH! So sorry about not posting guys! D= Varsity really threw me for a loop this week!

@ Eiji: Snap, I had a feeling that that would come back to bite me in the ass. XD

Kinclex stopped momentarily, hearing the gunshot and the scream as one of the men was thrown out of the trailers. What in heaven's name had Eiji done to these people for them to be...

"We're out of time. Continue no matter what, I want them inside the trailers NOW!"

"Keh!?" was the only thing Kinclex could muster saying, a cold chill running down his spine. However, he had little time to stew over it, as Kuro ordered Kinclex to take the rope and tie it around as many people as he could. Kinclex nodded and went right to work. He became a seemingly shapeless, black blur as he moved. He picked up the rope and began encircling the people in the group one by one.

He followed Kuro's lead, tieing it below the stomach, before moving on to tie the next person up in a similar fashion, but always ensuring that the rope could be pulled along as he moved and tied. He had heard Seth below that he wanted none of these poor souls killed. "So he knows something we don't as well..." However, that was to be expected. He and Eiji were partners.

Kinclex was able to work exceedingly fast in securing the people, considering how many of them there were. If he ran out of one rope, he'd fetch another and begin using that. He just hoped that the other would be able to get them inside in time while he took care of the crowd control. He would hate to see....whatever was inside their bellies.
