I got a PHD in KICKING YOUR ASS!

Tonight was cold, far colder than it should be for this time of the year in Hyakuji. The air was still too, and you could barely hear a sound at the old, empty storage area for the old train, with its many engines and wagons. The smell of rust and damp earth filled the air as a lonely figure walked silently down the old tracks... the ones that were only put to use whenever they needed to discard or store away a malfunctioning piece of machinery, which abounded here, rusty and decayed, making the area look more like a ghost town of sorts. Tonight was special in two very different ways. It was the night he had long been waiting for, as the very special delivery would finally arrive. Also, it was the night of the trial for the new promising members of Wo Shing. Young blood, ready to strengthen the already growing power of Wo Shing in Hyakuji. Each one of those invited had been given a card with the date, time and address. Each one of them had been throughly investigated, his or her background researched and approved tentatively. It was time to put them to the test. This, unlike the other trials was no easy task. Anyone could chop a dead body to pieces, anyone could pull a trigger and kill somebody at cold blood... well, not just anybody, but it wasn't that much out of the ordinary for crime standards. You could almost say it was expected of an organization such as his. But this time, Eiji himself didn't know how he would handle this if it got out of control. Looking at his watch, he waited. It was almost time, and he expected the new would-be members to arrive anytime, hopefully before the cargo did. |

[May be a horrible post due to lack of activity on this board] Even for this cold night, Keri was well prepared. Not because she had planned ahead but rather out of habit. Kaden's jacket fit loosely over her body but close enough so that the wind didn't get in. The first button was done and the jacket flew slightly open as she walked. That night she wore a dark shirt underneath and black pants. And of course, she would go nowhere without her kodachi, which was hidden underneath the jacket. She had absolutely no idea why she decided to come to this second meeting. Perhaps...the first had struck her interest....no she would never admit that. With a silent breath, the air showing in the cold, Keri stopped dead center of the transportation area looking around without turning her head. This could all be a joke in the end, and her too predictable life would continue. But whatever happened she had one hope. That it would all end quickly. |

The small, slight sound of a neck cracking was the only sound that Seth Devaros made as he stepped out of the darkness and next to Eiji. The night seemed to swirl around him, mingling with the almost tangible air of darkness that Seth exuded. A sharp, piercing look was thrown down the road and alighted on the first member to have arrived, Shioya Keri. The girl was an interesting sort - but not terribly unique. Moody sort, but some skill with the blade. She would need some shaping before she was reading to delve into the organization, but the he supposed that today's.... event might help her along the way. Seeing no need for words at the moment, Seth settled in and waited. |

The Wo-Shing sure knew how to pick it's meeting spots. Kinclex walked amonst the mildew infested trains, looking at each one and taking in the scene in general. It was a sad sight, even he could see that. However, this was going to be the test for the trial. He had no idea what it was going to be, but he had a feeling that this was going to be very interesting. For the occasion, he had made sure his apparal was loose, but still had some stiffness to it for durability. Naturally that meant his boots and a pair of jeans he had most likely taken from Nickle at one point. He wore his leather jacket as well, the behemoth fang concealed beneath the zip. He soon reached the spot specified by the organisation. Apparantly he was early. Only one other person had arrived, aside from Seth and Eiji. They were expected to be there first. "Good evening." said Kinclex, moving to stand just behind Keri as he greeted neither three of them in general. |

What in the bloody HELL- God, Zan'nen, shut up. The body of Mayu Kogano was moving, but it was questionable to whether she was controlling it at the moment. See, Mayu Kogano hadn't joined Wo Shing. Not really, anyway. It took fits of yelling from Zan'nen to get her to shut up, finally, and Kinch's growl of distaste to send her to sleep. Right now, Charles was in control. He was dressed in men's dark blue jeans and blue and white sneakers that, actually, looked quite cute on Mayu. A dark blue dress shirt and white trench completed the look, making Mayu's body look as if she stepped into her boyfriend's closet. He held the Axe Breaker in his left hand, wrapped in a blue sheath. Charles was not one to feel cold, but he wore fingerless gloves anyway. He felt awkward, slightly, when he saw the group - his chest felt heavy (he did not wear women's underwear, obviously, so Mayu's breasts were quite bouncy and his boxers felt awkward). The head nodded at Eiji, in lieu of a hello. Charles blinked when he noticed Seth, but did not make any sign of recognition. He merely held the sword to his side and let Zan'nen take over the body as he closed his eyes. He could no bear to look at Seth. When Zan'nen took control, his right hand shifted to his pocket and rubbed against his thigh. The skin of his knuckles felt smooth and he briefly wondered why, before simply waiting by the group, silent, waiting for the trial. Edited by Blade, Jul 26 2008, 12:50 AM.

One by one they began to arrive. Eiji looked on, a little surprised at seeing who was the first to arrive; in all honesty he didn't think this girl would dare show her face. Interesting As the others came close, Eiji started to pace towards them, looking at their expressions and body language the way he always did, trying to find any sign of hesitation or insecurity. They seemed fine so far. Stepping up onto a few wooden crates that were lying around, he addressed the would-be Wo Shing members. "Good evening ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to your trial. You must keep in mind that this won't be a test of your skills or powers, so if you came here thinking you'll do great because you can blow stuff up with your mind, I'm afraid you're terribly wrong." He gave a quick glance at Kinclex, knowing the boy thought highly of himself because of his powers. "This is a chance for us to see who you really are." In the distance, a far away noise could be heard echoing through the air. It was a train, and it was headed their way. "There is a cargo coming in tonight, a very special, very expensive one. There are several containers full of it and your mission will be to 'escort' and safeguard this cargo and making sure it reaches its destination safely. Sounds easy, doesn't it?" Eiji couldn't help to let out a faint smirk as he looked at them. He was no sadist, but he loved testing people's strength and character. As he spoke, the noise grew louder and the engine's headlights could be seen flooding the place. "You will go one container at a time. You need to unload the cargo, make sure you bring it all of it to the trailers on the other end of the site..." Eiji pointed in one direction, where the trailers were parked at with their lights off for discretion. "... then go to the next container and do the same until there's nothing left." The train could be seen now, slowing down with a screeching noise as the giant breaks were applied. This made it necessary for Eiji to practically yell in order to be heard. "You need to do whatever is needed to accomplish this and make sure not to destroy the cargo in the process. Here!" He tossed a ring with huge keys at their feet, each one for one of the locks for the containers. The train finally came to a stop, the lights flooding the entire area from behind Eiji, making him seem a mere silhouette. "Time to work." Eiji moved away, far from them... this would be very interesting to watch. |

Kinclex did not miss the glance as Eiji spoke. It made him smirk. Powers were only a means to an end. Kinclex had more than that now. He felt the fang tingling beneath his jacket. He didn't know how he knew, but he felt it. It was getting excited, anticipating the task at hand and in return, so did Kinclex. His eyes began to tighten slightly to thin slits, as the train came with its bright lights. He listned carefully to Eiji as he spoke about what had to be done. Transporting cargo seemed easy enough. The question is, how large was the cargo, what was the cargo and would that cargo have the ability to kill them? As the keys soared through the air before landing at their feet, Kinclex looked around. Seeing as no one else was moving to pick them up, he'd do it. Kinclex moved over to the ring of keys and picked it up. He then turned to the other Wo-Shing hopefuls and shouted, "You heard him! Let's move!" before beginning to move towards the train, stopping by Eiji for only a moment to say, "I don't see any sign of Kurei tonight. Do you have her off on other business?" Kinclex couldn't help but feel a bit cautious now that she was not around. She was always with him. The very fact that she wasn't made things seem awfully suspicious. |

Zan'nen sighed to himself. Cargo. All right, he didn't see the difficulty in this situation, honestly, but the cargo was probably more than just... immobile items waiting to be shipped. Unless this was supposed to test their greed, in which case Zan'nen would be disappointed. Zan'nen gave Kinclex a look - a raised eyebrow, to be exact - and stepped towards the train in a slow easygoing walk. The boy wanted to chat, fine, but the least he could do was open the cargo properly. It took Zan'nen but a heave to open the door of the train and come eye to eye with the shadows of the cargo. The light of the train bothered him - he was a man of the night, a creature almost. "Alright. Open the first one," Zan'nen called to the eager boy, wishing he would hurry it up and get this over with. Truth to be told, Zan'nen was... curious. He did not have a fear of death and was a bit surprised at his anticipation of it. Oh, joy. Edited by Blade, Aug 11 2008, 01:08 AM.

Keri had to admit she was slightly curious to see what was in those boxes. It was dark, even with the bright lights half of the train car was still hidden in darkness. She was always up for a challenge but always tried to be cautious... Jumping into the car, she inspected the sealed box. It was an ok size, what they had to transport was most likely smaller. She ran a hand over the simple lock before drumming her fingers over the top. Keri also gave a look to Kinclex, who had the ring of keys...She had to wonder how many boxes of cargo they had to escort... [Crappy post...] |

Kinclex turned his head away from Eiji when Mayu called. He remembered back at her hotel room. However, she seemed different now. Perhaps someone else was behind the wheel. He didn't know who, but he could tell she didn't have that certain bounce in her step when he'd been with her. After all, who better to know this than someone who had taken control of the wheel while sharing a body. He arrived at the first cargo crate, inspecting a the lock and looking for a key that looked about the same size. He narrowed it down to two and tried his first choice. They key seemed the right size, but it's cutting was all wrong, not even sliding into the lock. The second key however, fit like a glove. Kinclex turned the key and felt the tumblers roll into place. Taking the key out of the lock and placing the ring of keys on the back of his belt, he took the lock off. "Okay, let's be quick about this." His hand began to open up the cargo, but what awaited inside? |

"None of your business. Get to work." Eiji's reply was dry and impersonal; despite the harsh words there was no anger or emotion whatsoever in it, it was merely a straight-forward answer to Kinclex's out-of-place question. As they approached the first car they would see that the container was in fact huge and it took most of the space of the car's platform. It looked like those used for transatlantic cargo ships. As the lock yielded and Kinclex opened the massive door, he and the others would be able to hear sound coming from the darkness in front of them. It was the sound of human voices... whimpering... sobbing... crying... coughing. Soon, as their eyes adjusted to the lack of light inside, the group would realize that the whole container was full... packed with people. The little light from the truck's headlights far away seeped in and made it possible to see their features: Pale skin, as pale as death; some even had a blueish hue to them, as if they had been kept from the sun for far too long. Their eyes were sunk-in, just like their cheeks; their bodies were little more than stick figures, and the place reeked of death and other nauseating smells. The ones nearer to the door shied away at first, but then, seeing the light of the trucks and noticing there were just a handful of people, began crawling their way towards the exit of the container. Soon, others followed. "H-Help... p-please..." |

As Kinclex looked inside at the first few visible faces, his eyes narrowed. This was certianly a surprise and a relief as to what he'd thought the Wo-Shing had been transporting. They looked harmless enough, but he wasn't about to take any chances. He spoke out to them, his voice slightly raised and assertive, "Quiet." He stood for a moment obseving them before continuing, "You will move from this crate over to those vehicles there." he indicated with his finger, "If you decide to do any otherwise, you will be dealt with." Kinclex could only assume that the Wo-Shing had their fingers into the illegal slave trade as well, either that or these were subjects for torture and experimentation. At any case, it was not his problem to think about it. His problem as well as his new subordinates, was to escort the lot of them from now exposed cell to the transports, without letting one of them make a break for it and not killing them either. This was apparantly very precious indeed. How much was any one of these people worth in the long run now? Seeing as they were nothing more than husks of their former selves. |

Keri froze in place. She didn't know what to think or what to do. As the first whimpers reached her ears she feared the worse...and sadly...she was right. She backed away two steps trying to escape the smell that came from the now opened crate. She clenched her teeth lightly and jumped down from the car watching as the people walked slowly, reluctantly to their destination. Thank god she didn't have the keys...or she would've easily lost her composure. "Open the others." She told Kinclex without looking at him as she started to walk alongside the pack. It would be both easier and faster to escort them all at once... Her steps were slow and her eyes observant - watching for any that tried to escape. Psychologically, it really bothered her...however, it was a commitment she made. It was her job whether she liked what she did. |

Hm. Well. Pretty things, aren't they? He jumped down, silent, moving along the pack like a shadow. He could see them watching him, the things, watching him with fear. As they should. He was not like them. One of them stumbled breaking out of the pack just for a moment and a second later, Zan'nen was beside the creature, pushing it back into the pack. His whispered voice was deep, strange and alien to the creature. "Don't go. There are... so many better places I can take you." The thing stared at him, perhaps confused at his appearance, but Zan'nen had moved on, circling the pack with smooth, calculated movements. It was like herding sheep, except these creatures were so much more fun and enticing. He was against herding them this way, because there was so many of them and so few herders, but Zan'nen would not give them any ideas. Instead, he merely weaved in and out, seducing the creatures with his closeness and his heat. He was something they could not have, but could experience. And Zan'nen... Zan'nen was a trickster. He enjoyed this playing. Edited by Blade, Sep 17 2008, 05:59 PM.

Lost Himself
|
Kuro stepped out of the engine car silently and leaned up against the side, putting a stick of cinnamon half into his mouth and chewing silently. He wore a dark suit that blended in perfectly in the night with the black metal of the train. Even if someone could possibly see him, they would notice that his suit was immaculate, clean and pressed to perfection. His eyes pierced through the darkness, connecting with Eiji's briefly before returning to the newcomers. He eyed them all for a few seconds before his attention re-focused on the stick of cinnamon in his mouth. At the moment, it was more interesting than they were. After Eiji finished his speech, Kuro glanced towards the recruit from underneath eyebrows, his attention still on the stick of cinnamon as far as any onlookers could see. He wondered how they would handle the job ahead of them. Steam rolled across the area from the air breaks and the cooling train furnace, roiling around in a futile attempt to obscure the lighting. It merely succeeded in creating an eerie atmosphere, an almost ethereal air. Kuro snickered to himself, wondering if Eiji had even planned that. It wouldn't surprise Kuro if he had. As the blue haired boy stuck the key into the lock, Kuro turned his full attention to him, still chewing nonchalantly on his stick of cinnamon, blending into the scenery around him. The door slid open loudly, and the sound of the inhabitants reached Kuro's uncaring ears. They hadn't sounded much better before being put in the cars, so Kuro could have cared less.
As the boys voice drifted over to Kuro, he nearly burst into laughter, a snort coming out of his mouth. Was the boy blind? Those people were more malnourished than the kids you see on sob-story commercials where people want you to send them a buck to save some kid in a third world countries life. At least those kids could walk around, Kuro doubted the people inside could even get out of the cars by themselves without getting injured. "While you're at it, tell one of em to run to the store and grab me a coffee, kid," Kuro said quietly, letting his voice drift across the area, knowing the boy would hear him. Even though he said kid, he figured the boy was at most a few years younger than him, but he still had that fresh look to him, as if he had yet to experience all the evils the world had to offer. |
