Could he go ONE day in town without something going on?!

Damon turned a corner downtown, looking about, people being evacuated out of the building. This was...the Frostfire industries building, a fairly reputable place in town. People were talking, apparently this not being a drill of any kind. Asking a few of the people, it sounded like some woman just out of the blue pulled it, in a panic. But she didn't come out of the building either.

...Which... unfortunately meant...He knew he had to go in and look for her.

God damn his inability to leave people in possible danger.

He rushed in, moving up flights of stairs, to the floor where she apparently had pulled the alarm, finding it pulled, but her nowhere in sight. And there wasn't any smoke, no signs of fire, no noise at all. No roaring fire or anything. It seemed like the entire building was empty.

Something was very wrong here.

"Hello!?" Damon yelled out, his head looking left and right, searching for any signs of life. "Anyone in here? Come on, I need to get you out of here!"

And in reply, he's got a finger poking at the side of his head.

"Hands up in the air. Do not make any sudden movements," Came an authoritative female voice from one of the room besides him. Peeking from the corner of his eyes is probably allowed though, and he would find a girl around seventeen years old in age, long silky brown hair, clad in a light brown business suit and wearing a stern expression on her face. And she's got her hand pointing at him like a gun.

Damon glanced to his side, before noticing the source of the disturbance. A woman, who matched the description of the one who'd pulled the alarm. And it seems that she was up to something after all. She was playing cop, and not doing a stellar job of it. Her fingers? Seriously? He...guessed he might as well humor her?

Damon raised his hands, slowly turning to face her. "You're the one who pulled the alarm, aren't you? Unless you have a ridiculously good reason, I'm thinking I might have to turn you in. You've caused quite the mess." He said to the girl, since she did not seem to be in any rush.

Perhaps she was looking to steal something? Or maybe she was just a prankster?

The girl eyed him for a moment, before dropping her hand in relief. "...I see," She muttered under her breath before continuing, "It seems to me like you did not have any idea of the current situation. Then, I request that you leave this building at once. There is a bomber on the loose,"

She said it so bluntly with the straightest of expression. Does that stern look on her face suggests any kind of devious intention whatsoever? I think not.

...A WHAT?

Damon's expression changed instantly. Whereas before he had an annoyed look, right now it had changed to that of one of complete seriousness. There was a BOMB? "What floor. Who did it. Now." He said, already forming a plan over this. If there was a bomb, then this building was at risk. If it was strong enough....there were people down below. He couldn't allow them to be harmed. If, say, parts of the building came down and hurt anyone....Nope. Not gonna let that happen.

"For that matter, how do you even know?" He asked, wanting ALL the information. Who was holding the bomb, why they were doing this, how this girl knew, all of it, quickly.

"It does not matter how do I know about it!" The girl snapped back at him, her voice growing more urgent at his defiance to leaving. "I rang the alarm to evacuate EVERYONE, so that no one would have to be caught in the explosion! The very fact that you are here is a hindrance! So this time I am ORDERING you to leave the premise, NOW!" The girl truly emphasized the fact that she's won't take 'no' for an answer with that last sentence. Without bothering to listen to any more of his retort she darted off the empty corridor with her 'gun' at the ready, eyes pried and ears open for any signs of the bomber or the bomb itself.

It's just her style. That's the whole job of a peacekeeper, an Ace Inspector, the great Xanadu. Not a single life must be endangered, even with your life on the line.

...Sigh.

Damon slowly walked towards the girl, shaking his head, before vanishing and appearing across from her. "I'm afraid your orders are ineffective. Not unless you're a cop, in which case, I'd love to see your badge." He said, finding this girl to be a bit on the frustrating side. She didn't have a firearm, she didn't seem to have any powers. He could have been wrong of course. "I'm the instructor of Darkness and Light for the elemancers. I'm perfectly adept at dealing with danger, and I've stopped crimes on more than one occasion." He said, closing his eyes.

His sensory skills were rather limited, compared to the experts like Erin and Kaede. He was a master of creation, not sensation. But still, maybe he could do something. Maybe even feel of a moving shadow to located someone else in the building, something. "If you have an idea of where this thing is and who put it, PLEASE speak up now." He said, Not so much demanding or commanding but cutting to the point. "Unless you WANT the people on the streets to keep being in danger if something bad happens?"

...Argh...! "Very well!" The girl said in defeat as she scratched her head in frustration. Dammit, why won't people listen to her for once? She's the great Ace Inspector Xanadu, daughter of the Reality Breaker! It seriously irritated her that people wouldn't take her seriously. Well. Okay, he's taking her seriously, but come on! "Well... alright, see-"

"Hey! What are you two doing here?"

Her sentence was cut short when she suddenly heard a gruff voice of a man from behind her. Looking back she found a big and imposing bald man in a black business suit rushing towards the two. "Didn't you two hear the fire alarm? You have to get out of here!" It was quite clear that he was one of the many security guards working withing the Frostfire building, and they have taken it in their own hand to make sure everyone had evacuated safely at the sound of the alarm.

The girl, rather frustrated, accepted what he said, thankfully seeing his point. She began to speak before a man approached them both, telling them both to evacuate. Judging from his looks, he looked to be a businessman of some kind. His tone was one of authority though, Damon frowning a bit. "My apologies, but I must disagree. Despite the alarm, there doesn't seem to be a fire. No smoke, no heat, no noise." Damon said in response, somewhat evading the order. "I don't think we're in any immediate danger from such a thing."

Still, there was the threat of the bomb. This man being here did put him at risk, and it was unlikely he'd like the idea of two civilians doing his job...but... "Unfortunately, she claims there's a bomb in the building." He said, pointing over to the would-be inspector. "If that's the case, you might be in just as much danger as WE are."

A... a what...?! That sounded way too ridiculous for it to ever be true, yet at the same time it sounded ridiculous enough that it HAS to be true. His first thought was to call it a ridiculous assumption to somehow come out of the blue, but the consequences if it was actually true would be devastating. "...Very well. Tell me how did you recognize the bomber,"

"I did not,"

...She what?

"I did not recognize him," The girl repeated with a bland face. It was clear that she was really telling the truth, or she is the greatest liar on the face of the Earth, capable of stating a false fact so blatantly without twitching an eyebrow. Whichever it was, it certainly raised the man's eyebrow. "...You did not recognize him,"

"I did not recognize him,"

"...And you said... you saw a bomber?"

"Well, he looked suspicious! What kind of man would go to work with an all black suit with sunglasses and a suitcase?" Apparently the girl didn't realize the apparel currently being donned by the bald and burly man in front of her. The girl looked deadly serious though, so he highly doubted she was just playing around. Or at least... to her anyway. "Okay... now, correct me if I'm wrong... but was your mother... the Reality Breaker?"

She nodded as an answer, only to see him facepalm as his reaction. Good god, so the rumors were true. Who would have thought someone as great as her would have such a troublesome daughter? "Argh... alright, come here you," The man said, promptly grabbing her wrist and started steering her towards the elevator, eliciting a loud protest from the wannabe cop. "Wait, stop! I am telling you, there is a bomber around here!"

Of course, the man, knowing the girl's reputation, wouldn't have a word she's saying. "That's it, stop trying to play the hero. I'm taking you to your father," The man said sternly, keeping a firm hold on the troublemaker so as she couldn't wriggle free. Of course, with the Ace Inspector believing just how right she was, wouldn't go down quietly. "I said, let me GO!"

And she ran off.

...

Wait, what? She ran off, like... just like that? Wait, but if that's her running down the corridor and turning to disappear at a corner, then... who's the... what about this one the man's holding on to...? "E-excuse me..." Mina said, somewhat timidly, which is strange considering her extremely forward and loud demeanor from earlier. "C-could you... let me go please... you're hurting me..."

~~~~~
Somewhere, in a dark room with dozens of monitors, two men were sitting with laptops opened up in front of them on a desk. Their hands tapping away rapidly at the keys as words, letters and sentences flew across the screens like a swarm of bees. "Lucky that girl decided to cause a ruckus, eh? Saved us a whole lot of trouble," Said one of the man with an amused grin.
"Well, it's only a matter of time before they realized there are no fires around at all... We better hurry up," The other man replied, glancing up at one of the dozens monitors in front of him, aside from his own laptop. Looks like no one realized anything yet... but they can't stop now.
"Aye-aye, captain~" The first man said again, hastening his typing.
...wat.
Damon facepalmed, a look of pure frustration on his face as the girl and the guard went back and forth with this little...argument. She...He....This was just one of those days, wasn't it? Who was this reality breaker? What was with this girl? Did she have some sort of history?
As the man grabbed her, she demanded to be set free and...wait WHAT? Did she..But she...How was she in two places? ...Right. Hyakuji. This girl was probably gifted. Either way, this girl here had just completely changed personality. "One moment." He said, barely keeping himself from face-palming again.
"One. What is your name, if you don't mind?" He asked Mina, as politely as he could, considering her change in demeanor. "Two. What did you just do? And three..." He then turned his head to address the man. "Who is this 'Reality Breaker?" He asked, curious on that. Considering how this situation was so odd, he wanted some clarification, since people seemed to be in no danger of dying.
...Still...the girl seemed so sure. It did kind of gnaw away at him slightly. Was there something more to this situation? Or was she just really that dense?
"My... name? It's uh... Mimi," Well, that IS her name when she's split. It's a bit hard to call both of them Mina, really. "Reality Breaker is... my mom. She used to work with the police... but that's not important right now!" She had tried to remain calm, but it was clear that the girl was really too agitated. For someone to be really persistent like this, it's really hard to want doubt her. "I'm not actually sure about it being a bomber... but I'm telling the truth, there is someone with malicious thoughts against the Frostfire company in this building! But I can't find them when there are so many people around, so I rang the alarm. I let them know it was me who rang the alarm when there are no fire around, so they can take advantage of when the building was clear of people and stay in the building. This way I can track down their minds without interference to catch them. In fact, Nana's on it right now!"
And somewhere else in the building on a certain floor at a certain area...
BAM!!!
The door to the security room was kicked open with so much force it snapped off the hinge and crashed hard on the floor. Its two occupants jumped in shock, turning around towards the entrance to find a girl entering with her hand raised, pointing her finger at them like a gun. "Do not move. Put your hands up in the air, you are under arrest,"
...Reh?
Damon just stared for a moment, before sighing and nodding. "It's crazy enough to be true." Damon said, looking to the security guard. "Besides, even if she is lying, I don't think your boss would look to kindly on you if you ignored any possible threat." He said, playing to the obvious issue. That was when the noise rang out. It was pretty hard to NOT hear that kind of forceful blow, even from 2 floors below.
"And that sounded pretty threatening to me!" He said, running to the stairs and up to where he thought the noise came from, scanning across the area and finding the girl, looking in with her hand in the shape of a gun. Whatever happened, she did it. And from what it sounded like, she was a psychic of some kind. Not the FIRST one he'd seen... Now to watch and see what happened...
"Shit, man! We're getting out of here!"
"Alright! Get out of our way!" After closing his laptop and snatching it off the counter he immediately rushed towards the exit, completely disregarding the girl blocking the way and rushed straight past her. Because she had split herself in half the girl with half the amount of physical strength had no chance at all to stop them and was thrown off her foot, crashing to the wall on the opposite side. "Argh... curses..." She muttered in pain, trying to get up to her feet as the man's acquaintance rushed past her, quickly running away down the corridor following his buddy. "Wait, stop you two!"
Tch! They REALLY asked for it! Spatting on the floor in anger the girl once again raised her hand, pointing her finger at one of the man like a gun. Red mist somewhat formed out of nowhere around her, coiling up in front of her finger, twisting and compressing to form a large red glowing bullet that just screamed danger from its mere look, slowly revolving on its axis. "Permission to use lethal force, granted!" As she said that just because she can the bullet started spinning rapidly, and all of a sudden there was a large explosion between her finger and the bullet. Her hand shot back due to the explosively powerful recoil as the bullet shot forward towards one of the man, striking him HARD on the head and knocking him out completely!
However there was still the other one. He didn't bother to turn around to help his colleague, and instead went on to escape all by himself!
Or so the poor man would have hoped. The escaping man's shadow suddenly was turned against him, black chains shooting up and out, aiming to grab onto his legs and drag him down to the ground. Trying to escape on foot with a Shadowmancer in sight? That just wouldn't do. "How rude. You don't shove women." He said, glancing to both men. So these two were the ones responsible?
He then looked over to the girl, a look of anger quickly going onto his face. He didn't fail to here what she said. Checking to see that the man wasn't DEAD after the shot to the back of the head, he stood up and approached her. "What the HELL were you thinking?" He said, his voice fairly loud.
"Permission to use lethal....Who the hell gave you the right?!" He said, looking back to the man. "That man's being here and his actions indicate he was doing something he wanted hidden but what if he was just some idiot? What would you have done if he was an innocent and you ended up killing him? If your mom worked for the police, you should KNOW that using lethal force for this would have been trouble!" He said, just....flabbergasted.
He looked to the stairwell, waiting for the security guard. Chances are...he'd want to see these two escapees.
