Jonny watched as the students of different shapes, sizes and races all milled in, his smile only widening when a certain one in particular met his gaze.
"Selene, looking good as ever." Jonny gave a small wave back to the corporate heiress, watching her as she took her seat. He turned his head to continue meeting her gaze, given that she sat behind him, giving brief nods to the others around the room.
"Hope you're ready for today's exam - I know I've put a lot of effort into it." The girl's fellow Briton said with perhaps a touch of pride, thinking back on all the time spent with the duo of the Jack brothers, in anticipation of this day.

His comment was momentarily turned into a question as another girl joined them, though the boy had to blink twice as she either referred to Selene by a nickname, or made a bit of an error in associating names to people.
"Uh... isn't Lavendar one of the teachers?" He momentarily asked, recalling to have seen the teacher a few times around the place, but not really recalling any specific lessons with her.
"Selene's still gotta graduate first, like the rest of us." He gave a light chuckle as he gestured towards the pumpkin haired girl, before turning his attention back to the front of the class. Soon enough, the students were in, the doors were closed, and the exam, was ready to begin.

Some expectations were curiously met, whilst others were thoroughly knocked down with rather surprising efficiency. He had been utterly expecting some kind of practical exam, where both skill and knowledge would be put to the chest... and evidently, they would only be testing the latter, as this was to be a written exam. This both made it easier and harder in the same move, as whilst they would not have to face some demon in battle, no longer did they have practical application to possibly back up possible lacks of knowledge. Jonny had thankfully done quite some research though, either from textbooks across various libraries, or from conversations exchanged with Pyro Jack and Jack Frost over the course of his training. At the very least, he would have something, rather than be going in blind as some students were.

Looking down at the paper, Jonny got to work on pondering his answers - some of these he definitely knew, particularly in the way they associated to the two he had practiced with. Of course, some of these he only knew from the character quirks the two demons had held, and one in particular when it came to discussing the female demons that inhabited Makai. As such, Jonny breezed his way through those particular questions, only to then struggle for bit with others. The matter of just what the demons called their place of origin, had never particularly come up, at least in the sense of some demon specific term. And to hell (no pun intended) with him having any clue on the result of demonic fusions - he'd heard about them, but five demons together at once? Never came up at all.

Ultimately though, all Jonny could do - and did - was try his best, finishing his exam in due time. He rose from his chair, and without a word, moved up towards Mr Tsukasa's desk, placing the piece of paper down upon it. His answers given, and assuming nothing else was required of him, he'd go back and get his stuff, before leaving the room to go grab himself - and maybe the others - a bite to eat.

Now, let's play together...under the clearest of blue skies.
"Um...Mr. Tsukasa..." Erin spoke up sheepishly as she raised her hand only halfway, trying not to disturb the other students. "Could I...have some more blank paper...?"

[20 Minutes Later]

"Um...A couple more sheets, please...?"

[40 Minutes Later]

"Just...a few more..."

At the end of class, Erin was starting to run out of time. She had already had to leave the answer to one question half-finished, with only about a page of writing on it so far. Was she including too much information...? Well, she wanted to make sure that she put down everything that might help her get the question correct. She had taken extremely detailed notes in class, and in particular, had done some private research into elemental sorcery, since that was an area of personal interest for her. She was fortunate that many of the test questions had to do with elemental spells. In particular, she was worried that she wouldn't be able to memorize what spells were known by what demons - she knew a lot about the magic itself, but not as much about the demons that used them, aside from the more powerful and important ones which had lots of accessible information about them. Fortunately it hadn't held her back too much.

She slowly laid her test down on Hiro's desk, silently apologizing for taking so much of his paper. There were almost a dozen sheets of paper stapled to the original document, including diagrams and footnotes of various kinds. Truthfully, she didn't really do as well as she hoped, despite studying intensely for weeks. But hopefully she did well enough that she would still have an A in the class after the final was factored in.

"Uhh.... Uhhh.... Crap." she thought. Unless the Aztecs and Egyptians were masters of demon slaying, and she had simply read all the wrong codex, all the ancient lore in the world wouldn't help her here.

After writing, she'd taken her best guesses, having spared some of what little sanity she possessed make logical guesses... which were totally wrong. It's a good thing she hadn't been there, due to being a late-comer.

Artemis kept a smile on her face as she looked through the exam, not knowing anything that was there. She began writing and keeping her smile, probably being the only person with a smile while taking the exam. After she was done writing her answers, she got up and put everything away and handed Mr.Tsukasa the exam. She simply walked out after setting the exam down, keeping her smile and walking away.

"E-eh?? W-w-what did you say Hiro-sensei?? w-w-wait a minute! F-f-finall??" Haru shocked when Hiro started to snapped his fingers and causing a paper to materialize on everyone's desk. Gulped. "THIS IS BAD!! REALLY!!" Haru's eyes widened while he slowly turned his head downwards to the paper as his body was shaking like he was meeting with something that really freaking him out. "WH-WHAAAT!!? I-I-IT WAS REALLY A FINAL EXAM!! P-P-PLUS!! IT WAS A WRITTEN TEST!!!" Haru was freaking out in his own mind, the problem was it was a written test! not a practical test!! This morning was a real worst morning eveer!!

With that, Haru then gave up, and a head desk! "Ugh... I'm going to die now.. Why... Why... Goodbye evil world....." He mumbled sadly on his seat while his head still on the paper while his hand was slowly crawling to his bag, and took a pen, and then ready to fill the paper with this gloomy atmosphere on Haru.

....

...........

Stupid test....

...

...........................

"Finiiiiiished!!!!" Haru then shouted, victory!! At last! He finished filling the paper with what all he knew, he didn't know if those were the right answers, plus he didn't care! all he should do was filling that paper with his answers! That's all! and then with his gloomy atmosphere Haru then slowly stood up, and then started to walk towards to Hiro's desk like a deadman walking. He put the paper on Hiro's desk, and then back to his seat again. sitting down, and... HEAD DESK again!

JSQ

As the test was passed around, Ethan was still curled into a ball, fear and anguish drowning his mind. When the white pages of doom reached his desk, he continued to stay curled, thoughts bogged down by the possibility of doom. A few minutes in, he finally took a peak.

'Oh this is going to be so...easy,'
He thought as he looked at the test. 'This...I know this...all of this. Why do I know this? Aren't test supposed to be hard and impractical?'

Ethan scanned the page, trying to look for hidden extra questions or ones of ultra fine print fitted between the letters. Try as he might, he couldn't find anything but those 11 questions.

'...Strange. Even the questions are strange. There are at least 12 different answer variations for each question, and that's only counting a single archive branch. These questions are too...vague, imprecise, off. Maybe I-'

He caught a glance at the clock. Ten minutes have passed and Ethan hadn't even written his name.

'Speculation later. At this rate, I will need the whole period for a single question. Time based resources should be divided evenly between questions for maximum chances of success. Furthermore, the space is insufficient for the amount of information needed.'

Ethan glanced around once more. He saw a girl with black hair and blue eyes using up an extreme amount of paper for the test.

'Usage of excess paper is verified. Commence answer distribution...now.'

Ethan began writing several pages worth of technically correct answers for each question, moving on to the next at precise intervals. Soon, time was nearly up and Ethan was left with several packets of information per question, with each line of text looking as though a machine typed it out. He quickly moved towards the teacher's desk and placed his answers on the other tests. Ethan quickly gathered his things and headed out the hallway.

'Hopefully I should still be early for next class.'

"OH GOD KILL IT WITH FIRE!" "That reaction is how I KNOW I did a good job!"
Godforsaken...a test! A final exam! Ian had crammed the night before, and re-read summaries of the material that morning, having not been present for the previous lectures. So his knowledge of the material was splotchy at best. Unsurprisingly, his knowledge of what amazing offensive magic did was fair while his knowledge of practical utility was a bit lacking. He hadn't known anybody, so he was just sitting quietly the whole time. Gritting his teeth and cursing under his breath the whole time, he proceeded to muddle through the exam. Why did he even have to take this!?

First question, okay, that wasn't so bad. Ian doodled all over a piece of scratch paper to help him think. God, fire magic, why did the hypothetical scenario have to involve fire magic. At least it wasn't ice. Angrily drawing a cartoony picture of a Pyro Jack being made into a pumpkin pie and being eaten by Dr. Robotnik, Ian proceeded to zonk out before snapping back to his focus.

Second question. Dealing with Kodama kids. Ah heck, he was no good with children, how was he supposed to...well, he knew the answer, but noted that he was no good with the tykes.

What did demons refer to Makai as? Well, Ian had no idea about that one, so he gave it a joke answer. The follow-up question earned an admission of defeat, he had no clue what that was supposed to be.

For some reason, he started chuckling to himself when he thought about the most powerful and feared Clan.

Considering his own boasts of being a devil against societal norms, he highly doubted he'd have an Archangel as a partner. Playing along with the scenario, though, he wrote the answer to that situation.

Elemental magic was something he'd paid attention to, having noted that he'd personally be weak against most of it bitterly. That wasn't such a tough one.

Deciding to show off with the next one, Ian made mention of the most powerful spell he'd read about. Power always stuck out in his mind. That same reason made question 9 similarly simple. And once again for that same reason, question 10 baffled him.

The extra credit question seemed simple enough. Deceptively so, perhaps? The answer seemed very straightforward, and he put down what he felt was correct, but was suspicious of it being a trick question.

He eventually finished and turned his paper in silently. He almost jumped out of his uniform when Haru shouted with glee, however. Muttering under his breath grouchily, he made fun of the classmate. "If your enthusiasm matches your competence, you shouldn't have any trouble." He expected a 70% or so grade given his own performance, there were flat-out several questions he had no clue about. Eh, a 70% was still a passing grade, wasn't it? Of course, Ian hadn't realized he'd accidentally turned in his doodle along with his legitimate answers. That was going to be a bit weird.

Stuff of Legend
Sharlen-as-Diaage frowned for a few moments, then nodded, and began to write. He was beginning to think that he would enjoy school. After all...even someone as old as him could always learn something new. And who knows? Maybe having lost his status and power would turn out to be a good thing... After all, a year or two of no politics, no war, and no-one trying to kill you could only be described as relaxing. Sharlen wrote and wrote and wrote until he was finished, then went up to the desk and turned in his test, smiling kindly at the teacher...what was his name...Hiro. Hiro Tsukasa. A man who could be a potent ally, or a deadly enemy. Sharlen left the library classroom, and began browsing the shelves for books that would help him. If he was going to get anywhere in this town...he was going to need some of his old abilities back.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kenneth grimaced, puzzling over each question until his head hurt, accidentally singing his paper a few times when he lost focus. But he persevered, struggling on and on until he had completed it. This test made him wish that, despite his lack of magical talent, he had taken the lessons that the Phuri Dae ((Wise Women)) had offered him. Perhaps then he would not struggle so much. After all...the Fairy Doctors had no real magic of their own, but their knowledge and cunning made up for it. Maybe he could have done the same. He sighed, looking at his miserable excuse for a test. He sighed again, sadly. He would probably fail... And he'd finally managed to make enough money to afford the school...if not the dorm. The young gypsy shook his head, then went up and turned in his paper. Unbeknownst to him, he DID have an aura, of sorts. Sort of a mix between a human witch and some sort of Fae. If anyone present could sense or see it, they might get curious, just like they might get curious about the faint aura of Blood Magic around Sharlen-as-Diaage. Then, Kenneth trudged out into the library, yanked a random book off the shelf, and began to leaf through it with no real goal in mind.
NICE DRIVE!
One by one each student began to finish their test and turn it in. Meanwhile, Hiro sat lazily atop his desk. Though he seemed generally relaxed he was keeping a close watch on the students. However, thus far it seemed nobody was attempting to cheat. The test itself had been designed to be quite challenging. The mage much preferred practical applications of lessons taught in his class, but since it had to be this way it really had to drive home critical pieces of information.
As each paper was turned in, Hiro glanced over the tests slightly. He couldn't help but crack a smile. Two certain questions had been added for the sake of being exceptionally challenging. It seemed few were finding the wisdom to overcome them. Still overall, he was pleased with the results he was seeing.
Not much longer now, Hiro thought to himself as he glanced to the clock on the wall.
((OOC: I am going to give a bit more time for anyone else to get their tests in. Then we are going to time skip in-thread to the next day of class and do the returning of tests and going over it. Calls for a bit of playing along on everyone's part, but this way we can have all this wrapped up and spend the next proper class time starting something new.))
        Thianbang looked at the test paper with a blank look, due to the fact that her head was blank.
        Writing down stupid answers like 'Starlight Breaker' and 'Treat Him to Lunch', she handed in her test paper.
        Well, she really isn't known for her brains anyway.
"Lavender?" Selene blinked in surprise as Aisia addressed her as Lavender. Of course the corporate heiress knew who Lavender was, especially given the fact she saw the aeromancer during Arcadia missions, even if she didn't attend music classes. But come to think of it... maybe she should've taken up music instead? "Is something wrong, Aisia-chan? I'm Selene, we attended classes together and fought against various threats together..." the corporate heiress replied as she looked at Aisia, and almost instantly couldn't help but notice something was a little off about the platinum-haired mage.
"Come to think of it, neither had I ever sat through a final exam when the Apocalypse occurred, so your guess is as good as mine," Selene added as Hiro clicked his fingers, causing sheets of paper to materialize on everyone's desks. And so it began... the corporate heiress looked solemnly at the test papers, skimming through the questions before nodding her head with a serious expression and picking up her pen...
"And done..." Selene heaved a sigh of relief as she walked up to Hiro's desk to submit her papers before looking at Erin and Jonny. "So... lunch time then?" the corporate heiress asked quietly.
Dangerously Cheesy.
Yuki slipped her books and notebook back into her bookbag once the class started to settle down. She'd been so uncharacteristically quiet that she wasn't even sure if her friends had noticed her walk in earlier, but that was fine, she didn't like too much distraction before an exam. She looked down at the flipped-over test on her desk with slightly blurred vision, starting to feel a rough combination of sleepiness from lunch and a cumulative lack of energy from difficult, sleepless nights. She still wasn't resting well and whether or not she actually had a bad dream, she was waking up multiple times as if trying to prevent it. But difficulty sleeping or not, that wasn't going to stop the final from coming.
Giving her eyes a quick rub and taking up her pencil, she flipped over the exam once given the green light to do so. She was very adamant about not cheating on tests, so that was no problem for her, and made a point to keep tunnel vision the entire time.
Yuki read over the questions one by one and realized the test wasn't that bad. However, she also realized that there were a number of answers she remembered hearing or reading about...but her brain couldn't sort them out. She felt a drop in the pit of her stomach. What was happening to her? Usually she was so good at exams, despite her apparent aloofness, but today was just a mess. Perhaps she could turn this around if she explained her answers well enough to show she understood...understanding was better than memorization anyway, right?
Hoping that she would recall things as she wrote answers to other questions, she proceeded to record her responses. This was going to have to be one of those "something is better than nothing" scenarios, well-knowing that not everything was the answer she was hoping to come up with.
Finishing up the last question, she set her pencil down and brought it to the front of the silently scribbling class. She handed him the piece of paper with two hands and a small bow as was custom. So much for her reputation as a good student, she thought to herself. Although she didn't think it was a complete failure.
She somberly went back to her desk, gathered her belongings, and headed out the door to get a much needed nap...if she could manage it. Or maybe she needed to stop by the cafe to get a piece of cake.
[OOC: Oh derp, I actually MEANT Selene, but THIS LITTLE MISTAKE ACTUALLY WERKS!]
"Selene-chan? Yeah, that's... what I said, didn't I?" Aisia blinked with confusion, shaking her head as she did.
What the hell? Am I saying random things now?
It's like that awkward moment when you've been travelling so many dimensions so damn much thatll
you don't remember who people are anymore.
Aisia's eyes widened a bit with fear when she thought that.
... and then people will forget who YOU are.
"... Sorry. I... must have gotten confused back there," Aisia said. "I meant to say Selene, but I guess it's just me being super nervous from the upcoming test, ahahahaha~"
... This fixes nothing. You know that.
Luckily for her, Hiro walked into the room and announced the beginning of the exams. Now she had something else to focus her attention on instead.
"... Haaah... somehow managed that," she sighed with relief as she turned in her paper and walked back to her seat. She wanted to go get something to eat, and come to think of it... she hadn't hung out with Selene for a very long time now.
... I think we should catch up, she thought to herself as she turned to speak to Selene. "Selene-chan, do you-"
It was at that point that Selene decided to ask Johnny and Erin out to lunch. The whisper wasn't too loud to disrupt the class who still took the exam, but loud enough for her to hear.
Loud enough for her to hear that she wasn't being invited.
She's not... mad that I called her Lavender instead, is she?
Wrong. She's already forgotten about you.
Her eyes widened at that thought.
The thought of her own wish back in her home dimension, her heartfelt wish to curse herself and her existence rather than allow it to destroy the happiness of her friends, was now extending itself to this dimension, broke something inside of her.
No.
It's... it's happening again.
My own wish is betraying me again.
I truly wouldn't have minded back then, had I not been presented with the opportunity to be... acknowledged again, even if it's not my home world.
Are you mocking me!? Why even bother!? Why even bother making friends here in a world that will forget you again!?
It was at that point that she realized something else.
... Ayane.
... She'll forget you too.
She quickly grabbed her bag, noisily upsetting the desk a bit as she ran past Selene, Johnny and Erin, and dashed out of the classroom. It wasn't enough to completely disrupt the class, but enough to indicate that something had upset Aisia enough to make her dash out of the classroom in a hurry.
She left hurriedly enough that nobody noticed the tears that fell from her eyes as she ran from the school and hurriedly dialed Ayane's number...
Gabriel Isaiah was not happy about what was going on. The blond freshman thought from his desk in the corner of the room, he felt safer here, like being in this corner and being apart was a safety net for him against the wild jungles of having a social life. Gabe sighed as he glanced up at the light above him, frowning he quinted at it briefly, thinking about sucking the electricity out of it so that he could think better, he liked the dark, made it easier to think.However the other students didn't seem to feel the same was as they took their tests. They all seemed so confident like all of this was normal, why the hell did mom force him to come here anyways? Gabe thought with a growl as h gripped his pencil tightly in anger, a small arc of electricity cascaded briefly down onto his arm quick enough to not be noticed. Ahh the temptation to jump up and absorb the rest of its sweet nurturing electricity was great, it always made him feel better and healthier. However now wasn't exactly the time to bust a move in the middle of class now was it? Gabe thought as he shook his head briefly before fiddling witht he pencil in his hand, resting his head in the palm of his hand which rested on the desk. Hell he was never one to believe something without seeing it! All this supernatural nonsense it had to be fake right? Then again the doctors didn't know why he had his powers and yet here he was.
Gabe thought with a sigh before looking down at his paper on the desk in front of him. True it might have been okay for him to screw up since it was literally his first day here, hadn't even met his homeroom teacher he hadn't'. Gabe thought before looking down, most of this was stuff he had never even knew existed much less was able to whip out a test on and still look boss doing it!
with a shrug the electric boy went about the process of deducing what the hell he was trying to write down! He knew he didn't have a whole lot of time left but he might as well try instead of sit in this desk. Gabe thought to himself as his first day was not exactly off to a good start, sure the way his mom had made it sound it looked interesting but so far he was just so... bored
yes it was just all so boring
Gabe thought as he reviewed then answers on his quiz, the teacher seemed pretty laid back, which was something the blond could respect easily. However this guy looked if possible a little TOO laid back, usually teachers were strict and harsh; one of the things that grew his tough outer shell. The electromancer thought about just standing up and blasting the test into a crisp and calling it fast food but he didn't exactly want to get detention on his first day.
So with a shrug he flicked his pencil back behind his head at the wall creating a loud tap before standing up and grabbing the test with him as he walked forwards to place the test on the teachers desk, what was his name again? Whatever ahhh yes maybe with a little.
Gabe thought as he looked at the small light on the desk causing arcs of electricity to shoot off and connect with his arms sending a jolt of health and feeling back into him, ahh yes it was Hiro wasn't it? Gabe thought before grinning with a total change of attitude.
"Well see ya later bro!"
Gabe said with a big smile as he rubbed the back of his head. Glancing down briefly at his shoes he looked back at the door, one step at t ime eh? Gabe thought with a grin.
This just might be adventurous after all...
One by one, each student finished up the test and turned it in. From time to time Hiro glanced at the top test on the stack smirking at some of the answers. Eventually, the bell had rang which signaled the end of class. Unfortunately for the few stragglers, Hiro had to ask for them to go ahead and turn in their tests as is. Finally, alone in the quiet classroom Hiro glanced towards the mountain of test papers. "Should've stuck with the practical exam," Hiro mumbled, "So much easier to grade. You survive you pass..." Chuckling softly, he picked up the stack of tests papers and exited the classroom as he shut the lights off.
====
[The Next 3rd Period Supernatural Studies Class Meeting]
The class was assembled once more and after everyone had taken their seats, Hiro began carefully passing back out the tests. Written in the red at top as each person's score along with the letter grade they had received. On the questions themselves answer numbers had been marked with an X when wrong. As he finished passing out the last few Hiro began to address the class, "Well, Most of you did pretty good. However, I think some of you will be surprised at your score. Like I said last session, I looked at the grade book and for those of you just transferring in after the lessons on Demonology had already begun, this just counted as potential extra credit."
"I'm sure some of you have questions about the ones you missed," Hiro added as he began to walk back towards the front of the classroom, "So if any curious individual would like to kick us off then I'll be glad to review missed questions for everyone's sake in the future. While these might not turn up again this semester, you never know when you might encounter a demon. Ultimately, that was the goal for this segment of lessons: being prepared."
