Damon stood outside the monolithic building, sighing as he looked into the rectangular device in his hand. This rider gear he made...he hated to admit it, but he needed some outside advice. After the spar with Lavender that let him get a good idea of what he could do, the battle with the weather dopant making him realize a lot of these threats were WELL out of his hands, and the museum incident making him realize more things would eventually come... He needed to know exactly what to expect from this spur of the moment creation.

He took a deep breath as he walked into the headquarters of BOARD, looking around. The place was massive. Not too surprising considering how large the building was, but it was still quite intimidating. This was one of the few places he'd never been in his time within Hyakuji, never having needed to come here before. It felt so odd. Like he knew it always existed, but.....it never really registered as anything as other than that big building over there.

He approached what looked like a help desk, or so he assumed was one, before gripping the Card Deck and clearing his throat. "Pardon me..." He said, before placing the Deck down onto the desk, still holding a grip on it. "I've never been here before, and I need to find someone to speak to regarding this...Well...Rider System I've developed." He said, unsure on how else to explain it. It wasn't everyday someone walked in with their own working rider system....right?

The attendant at the desk merely smiled and nodded...even if it wasn't the most formal of ways to get a meeting, Kouta did inform several personal about a person with an unknown system that may be interested in some help identifying it. As such, there was no real fuss about it since Damon's picture and the belt itself was at least on file for impromptu cases like this.

"You'll want to head over to the R&D Division, it's on the seventh floor, though exorcise caution when you do, there are some tests going on." It was a simple, courteous reply that came from the receptionist, who was already gesturing towards the elevators. It was a little lax, but given how some of the people were within the company, it was not really smart to cause a ruckus to begin with.

Damon nodded, before bowing his head. "Seventh floor, got it. Thank you very much." He said, trying to be as polite as possible. He moved to the elevator and got in, hitting the button for the seventh floor. Alright. So far so good. This was going fairly smoothly, the receptionist was very helpful...Maybe this wouldn't have any complications at all.

Still, from what was said, it sounded as if there was already some testing going on. Considering this was supposedly R&D, likely these guys were already hard at work on another set of gear. And knowing how strong some of that gear was....yeah...he..was going to be cautious. For all he knew when the elevator doors opened up, a rocket fist could be flying at him...

Well, Damon was close. Instead he was faced with a swarm of tiny, robotic red birds. Some crashed into him while some managed to stop in time and flutter about elsewhere. This...led to many questions on what the hell BOARD actually did in this laboratory but it was best not to think too hard...given what some of the Riders were like in general still, those red birds immediately flew back towards a table, before folding up neatly...into soda cans.

"Sorry about that! Still trying to fix their AI."

The man at the table was a nerdy looking guy with a mullet and glasses. The easiest way to describe him was a foreigner who loved anime. Leo Emmerich, the CEO of BOARD and the person who worked on the techy stuff on the side. Still, cans that turned into animals...what he made was often questionable and easily described as 'he has way too much time on his hands'. Of course, there were a few other colors of cans, in addition to a few cell medals, a giant vending machine behind him, and a strange looking sword.

"What may I help you with?"

...Red birds....that...turned...into soda cans.

Damon wasn't sure what was worse. That he'd seen them or that he really wasn't at all surprised that these...things existed. He walked in as the man apologized, Damon just hand-waving it. "It's fine, I've seen weirder." He said, looking over the other things apparently being developed.

A few other cans of varying colors....More birds? And a strange looking sword. But what stood out were the medals. He recognized them as being from the museum incident, being what was knocked out of the monsters who were attacking. It looked like Board was researching them, which was curious.

"Oh, right." He said, looking back to the man after going over all of the stuff in the room, holding up his Deck. "I was told by one of your riders that you guys might be able to help me learn about this. My name is Damon Ark. I'm the black rider who's been getting involved in a few scrapes, like the museum mess." He said, giving the man some context.

"I have gotten the basic idea of how it works. But considering it's unknown nature...I'd prefer to know exactly what it can do before some bug in the gear causes any harm" He said, remembering the spar with Lavender that ended up with him in some...Mirror-Forest where he was the only person there.

"Oho...Kouta and Kazuna have mentioned you in their reports." Leo mused simply enough, crossing his arms and nodding at Damon's introduction and explanation. It was a fairly reasonable request all things considered, and there was no real reason to turn him down, as such, he set aside his current research project since he was in need of a break to figure out what to do from there anyway.

"So what can you tell me about it first? I need some idea of its abilities before I can sit down and start analyzing it." Leo explained simply enough, just standard questions for now. "Also need to know if you're willing to demonstrate some of it later on." he concluded. At the very least, something entirely new and mysterious was a fun topic to work with for the eccentric man.

Standard explanations for now. Made sense, he supposed. "Fair enough." He said, taking a deep breath. "The deck is a construct of shadowmantic energies, created in an attempt to replicate the various rider gears I've seen in deployment. It was a bit of an improvisation job when it came to the power source, changing out mechanical or biological 'power' and using partitioned off aspects of my element of darkness." He said, starting off with the more technical aspects and it's differing feature.

"The intention of it was to create something that could start off low in power but escalate as needed. What I got instead...." He said, as he drew all the cards out of the deck, spread them out, like a card player would for their hand, and turned them all so that this man could see them.

"Were these. They generate the weapons and the like...Save for the Final Vent Card and Dragblacker's card. Final Vent is the Rider Kick power, and Dragblacker's card...summons him" He said, before stacking the cards and returning them to the deck.

"Or...at least I think his name is Dragblacker. I've never seen the dragon before I made the deck. For all I know, I might have accidentally made it too." He said, a nervous chuckle coming from Damon. He really hoped that wasn't the case. He already had one created elemental to deal with like a daughter....if he had another...

...Another time, another place. For now, stay on topic. "The only issue I've found comes from mirrors....but you can see that for yourself. I'm willing to test it out anytime."

"Huh, a card based system...at least it shouldn't be hard to work with." Leo mused, seemingly amazed at the level of detail in it. Though, at the same time he wasn't entirely surprised at the results of what came to be. At the very least, Riders using cards wasn't a foreign concept so it wouldn't be difficult to work with on his own given the chance. "Well, whatever the reasoning, your powers chose to manifest themselves in a rather self-contained manner...much like how our original Aces utilized powers sealed within cards." he summarized, utilizing Blade and Garren as an example.

"They took specific shapes I guess based on the amount of power you wished to scale it at, though I imagine whatever the Dragon is had some basis behind their shapes." The weapon vents obviously looked like parts of this...Dragblacker, so at the very least it could be guessed that the creature was the core at this point.

"Anyway, if you're going to do a live demo of these abilities, should I have an assistant come in for this? I imagine a lot of this needs to be seen to be believed." while Leo could easily use a gear himself, he needed to watch rather than be a test dummy.

So card based rider systems were common? Well, that was good to know, he didn't end up making something completely out of this world. He nodded at the observation of the cards being related to Dragblacker, something he noted himself. And since this deck was made of his own power...ah crap. Yeah. There was a good chance he did make an elemental of sorts. Was he just good at creating things?

The man then asked if an assistant was needed, Damon nodding. "If that's what you want, you're the expert here, Mr...." He started, before realizing something. "I'm sorry, I never got your name. But yeah, if that's what you think is best, I'll go along with whatever you suggest for a live test." He said, his shadow rising up and forming his belt, Damon getting ready either way.

"Emmerich, but you can call me Leo." the man answered simply enough, before pulling out a rather intricate looking phone, and bore the Greek symbol for 'psi' on it. It was the actual Rider gear he used but he had already mentioned that someone else would be Damon's sparring partner for the day. A quick dial revealed that he was contacting another BOARD Rider, though he was keeping quiet for some reason...

Still, it was best not to think on that much as within minutes someone else entered the test area. It was a teenage girl with long blonde hair down up in twintails and amber eyes...and she didn't look particularly happy to be here. "Well, I'm here now. So I just need to fight this guy?" she spoke rather rudely to Leo himself, before stretching her arms a bit.

"Yes, and as usual your compensation will be the same since this is just contract work." Leo answered, scratching the back of his head. On one hand it was good he finally managed to get the owner of the Heart Suit of Rouze cards under him, even if not entirely, on the other she proved to be very difficult to work with. "This is Shiho Aikawa, one of our...freelance members, I guess." he explained to Damon before giving a final nod to Shiho, gesturing towards an empty field where there was enough room for both of them to move around in for the test, to which Shiho immediately walked towards and took her position at one end.

With that, she closed her eyes and called forth her own belt, the Chalice Rouzer, around her waist. The buckle was a simpler affair all together, being a red heart shaped gem of sorts with a slot down the middle. From that, she pulled out a card that was identifiable as the Ace of Hearts, bearing a picture of a mantis of some kind on the face of it.

"Henshin."

[CHANGE]

The belt announced a simple phrase after the card was ran through...though her form was not a traditional Rider one. Like most of the Riders taking forms from the Undead cards...what armed Shiho was something...rather unique.

Damon stood there waiting, Deck in hand, as Leo called someone, and within moments, a woman showed up. She was explained to be a sort of freelance member of BOARD, and from what it sounded like, she was going to be paid for this. The life of a Rider must have been interesting if it got pay. A bit of a sarcastic thought entered his head, finding Chizu would JUMP for such a chance. Fight AND Pay? Good lord, she'd never leave.

Damon nodded as he finished. "It's a pleasure to meet you." He said to the woman, doing his best to be polite, as he prepared himself. Moving into the field, he looked at his deck for one last time before looking up to see his opponent. Her belt appeared, and she pulled out a card from it. So this was another card based system?

With a simple word and a gesture, the belt activated and she changed into an...interesting form. This...was...unusual. He was used to Riders being armored fairly well. She...was not so much. He could get past the revealing aspects of her clothing, Damon was fairly good at that. The thing was...

He just didn't feel right hitting girls.

But...if he could fight Lavender, he could fight this girl. He knew they were both strong enough. Even if the girl didn't look armored, she probably was. He hoped she was.

"...Here goes nothing." He said after a deep breath. "Henshin!" He yelled, sliding the Deck into the belt. Three black 'Mirror images' of his rider form circled around him, before aligning over him, changing him into his new form.

Drawing a card from his belt, he slid down the Dragvisor, slotting it in, and returning the visor back to it's previous position. He held out his hand as the visor began to sound out, signaling the arrival of his first weapon.

[Strike Vent]

A gauntlet shaped like a dragon's head seemed to phase through reality and fit over Damon's hand perfectly. "Normally I'd say ladies first, but I get the impression that if I let that happen here, I'll get thrashed before any data can be gained." He said, before aiming the gauntlet and firing at the opposing Rider. A single black sphere shot out, formed from darkness into an almost-flame like state. He always preferred fighting at range, so what better way to start off?

"I apologize if this form is distraction." Shiho responded simply enough, pulling off the buckle of her belt and attaching it to the bow she held in her hands, the Chalice Arrow, seemingly moving while Damon was preparing his first strike. When she saw what the so called Strike Vent was about to do, she drew a card from the holder on her right side, immediately running it through the card slot...odd considering she could have done that while it was on the belt, but for now that shouldn't be of any concern.

[REFLECT]

The power of the eight of Hearts, the Reflect Moth. Unlike Garren and Blade, Chalice was not confined by the AP system their weapons had undergone...meaning as long as Shiho had the stamina, she could use any of her cards indefinitely. With the name of the card, it was obvious what its properties were...a mirror in the shape of moth wings appeared before her and simply blocked the attack, sending some of it right back at Damon.

"But please, do not hold back on account of it. It is merely a guise I have to undergo in order to live within this city." Shiho spoke in a rather formal manner, though it begged a number of questions in regards to her identity.

Damon's eyes widened behind his helmet as he saw his attack being sent back at him, by butterfly wings of all things. He had a few options, running, blocking, but he went with the best answer he could come up with on the spot: Shoot his own attack to pieces. Firing off a second shot, he aimed to counter it and cause both shots to destroy themselves. And destroy themselves they did, the two blasts colliding and vanishing away in a destructive burst.

"It's not so much a distraction..." Damon said, tossing the Strike Vent into the air and drawing forth another card, and sliding down the Dragvisor. He slide in the card and pulled the visor back up, the card reader's eyes glowing red for a moment before announcing the nature of the card he had used.

[Advent]

"It's just you appear...unarmored. It's kind of jarring." He said, raising up his right hand and catching the Strike Vent as it came down. "But I'll do my best to not hold back."

As he finished his sentence, black and purple lights surrounded him, before Dragblacker materialized around him, spinning around and letting out a small roar towards Shiho.

He wasn't kidding, he was bringing in his helper pretty quickly this time. Dragblacker darted forward, fangs bared as it tried to bite at the woman, as Damon advanced forward, angling towards the left. As soon as he got a clear shot, he fired off another black sphere straight at her, a bit hesitant and slow at the trigger. It seemed as if he was doing his best to avoid hitting his Dragon Friend

"It's form isn't exactly what I prefer myself, but I assure you it functions the same as your garb right now." Shiho answered, smirking now that Damon had indeed gotten a little more serious and called forth the beast known as DragBlacker, already drawing a card in an attempt to counter the double attack being made against her.

[BIO]

From the Chalice Arrow, multiple plant based tendrils shot forth, with the main intention of binding DragBlacker's mouth shut so it wouldn't be able to sink its teeth into her small frame...before haphazardly rolling out of the way of the second blast of the Strike Vent..though she didn't escape being hit entirely. True to her word, a field was surrounding her body, projected by the outfit she had on. She felt the impact, but was overall protected from harm.

"Impressive...though I've only begun to tap into my deck." Shiho stated firmly, before drawing yet another card and slashing it through the Chalice Rouzer.

[TORNADO]

The blades on the weapon extended as she aimed the bow at Damon, energy spiraling at the center before shooting an arrow made of compressed air...!

Damn! Vines. And they were binding Dragblacker's jaws. Still, at least Dragblacker did his distraction job fairly well. He got a hit on the opposing rider, her words indeed true. A field of some sort took the blow as opposed to her, which did relieve some of the tension he had been dealing with. Okay. So if he did play the Sword Vent, he couldn't kill her by ways of slashing. VERY good to know.

That being said however, there was now an incoming attack aimed towards him. He could dodge....or...He could take the hit and do something else. Which was what he did. Aiming his Strike Vent up, he fired a black blast again, this time at the vines and aiming to remove them. He felt a collision of the air, knocking him off his feet and a bit back, the Strike vent sliding out of his grip and some distance away.

But regardless, the sphere went forward and did it's job, even if it did hurt Dragblacker a little bit. The dark fireball broke enough of the vines to allow the dragon's jaws to open up and snap those that remained. A low growl emanated from the beast as it looked towards Damon, possibly a bit resentful about the entire being shot thing, before turning it's attention to Shiho.

Swinging it's body, it's bladed tail came towards the girl with a vicious swipe, Dragblacked not willing to possibly suffer a repeat performance. It's bladed tail wouldn't be bound by vines so easily, after all.
