Was there really any way for him not to know? "Wh-where am-... what--what's going-...!" Panic, anxiety, terror, his mind is a massive mess of emotions and feelings running wild. Disoriented, lost, trapped, incapable of going anywhere, incapable of doing anything, it was only when he heard the sound he dreaded the most since meeting Yuri could he finally focus his attention to just one thing. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHH!!!!" The horrifyingly painful shriek from Youma through the hallway. "YOUMA!!!" He actually wished he was deaf, wished he couldn't hear it. The sound of her screaming in pain like that, however faint, was probably much worse than taking a spiked cannonball to the face. At least he'd die too quickly to be able to feel the pain. But this... this... "YOUMA!!! YOUMA, HOLD ON, I'M COMING!!!" He regretted saying that. He really did. He knows very well that he could never escape from this particular cell. It made him feel like a liar, a worthless idiot who can't even keep his promise. But that doesn't stop him from trying to punch his way out. BOOM!!! The wall shook from the sheer force of his punch. However aside from that nothing seemed to come out from the show of brute force. "LET ME OUT!!!" BOOOMM!!! Even more powerful than before. The whole cell vibrated violently from the hit, though nothing was left on the wall to even suggest he had tried to blow it off. "I SAID LET ME OUT NOW!!!" BOOOOM!!! BOOOOMMM!!! BOOOOOOOMMM!!! It wouldn't be a stretch to say that there was an earthquake going on. That kind of hits would have been able to level a ten-stories building in less than twenty seconds. Powered by nothing but blind rage and fury, the boy unleashed a flurry of increasingly powerful hits on the exact same spot, deathly determined to break out of the cell. With each punch his hand broke, with each punch he bled, with each punch he was blown back by his own force, mutilating himself trying to get out, the pained yell of Youma only making him even more desperate to get out. He's got to do it... "COME ON!!!! BREAK ALREADY!!! I HAVE TO SAVE HER!!!" He yelled at the completely unscathed wall. He might as well have gone crazy. He knew full well he can't get out by himself... There has... there has to be someone...! "LET ME OUT DAMMIT!!! He completely abandoned his attempt to smash his way out, darting instead towards the bars and shook the iron bars as though hoping he could somehow break them. "SOMEONE GET ME OUT!!!" His voice started to crack as he yelled out into the otherwise empty hallway, echoing across the darkness without any reply. "GET ME OUT!!! SOMEONE!!!" He's starting to lose his energy. He can't even attempt to break out anymore. "COME ON!!! PLEASE!" He was almost hysteric, his voice shaking at every syllables. The boy couldn't even support his own weight, as he fell to his knees, his head resting on the bars. "Please! Someone! Anyone...!" It was futile. He knew better than anyone, just how hopeless his situation was. "Come on...! Please...! Save her..." Tears flowed down his face, whimpering in frustration as he slammed his fists and his head on the ground. Dammit... dammit, is... is there... really nothing... nothing he could do...? This is... pathetic... worthless... why can't he do anything...?! "S-someone... anyone... god... g-god... please... h-help me... save her..." |

"I'm not god, but I'll have to do.." Came a voice nearby. A computer console activated and a card slid along the slot, and suddenly the door popped open. "Don't worry about who I am. I'm.... your great great ancestor. I was sent by god at your plea to save you. Congratulations on being the lucky miracle recipient of the day. And i'm invisible because i'm a ghost. Boo. See how everything makes perfect sense and we don't have to question anything? Now get to the girl. Now." Deus followed behind him, once he opened the door Deus could enter the room and stop that renegade reaper once and for all... ~~~ Meanwhile a figure passing by the cell stopped in shock. Yuri herself. She radioed in in and brought The Professor to the now empty cell.. "Send the soldiers to the girl's cell then go join them." he said kneeling down and scooping up the blood. "Shoot to kill... I've got what I need." "With pleasure." She said, vanishing into smoke. |

At this rate he wouldn't even want to question anything. Of course, there was a slight moment when he stared at him dumbstruck, but right after knowing that the stranger's on his side he immediately darted off towards her voice, mentally grateful for the stranger. He's got to find him and repay him... Some other time. Not now. Top priority for now... get to Youma, and get her out of here. And somewhere at the very back of his mind, was yet another objective. Murder the Professor. Not because he still has to finish the operation Checkmate... But out of pure hatred and revenge. |

As soon as he entered the room he'd find a woman in black with a scythe. However before he even had time to strike her she felw backwards through the wall for some reason? THIS TIME WITH GHOSTY-VISION As soon as the door opened Deus rusehd forward tackling the woman through the wall, now that the anti spiritual field was down they could move through the walls freely.. Now outside over the alps the two stood, floating in mid-air. Deus threw out his arm and threw on his robe. In his hand Thanatos formed into his scythe form. "Ruri... You were a good reaper for many years.. But what you did was unforgivable!" "Tch..! A brat like you won't understand!" She said forming her own scythe. "Let's just do what we must and get this over with!" The two gripped the chains on their scythes.. "UNCHAINED IZANAGI!" "UNCHAINED THANATOS!" ~~~ Meanwhile within they weren't in the clear yet. Soldiers rushed down the hallways, each with large machine guns aimed ahead with the intent to open fire and spray them both full of bullet holes! |

"Youma!" She was the first one that he wanted to take note of. The woman with the scythe however, he only took notice of her when someone unknown tackled her through the wall, as though the wall was just a hologram or something. He stared at the undoubtedly solid wall where the two had disappeared through just moments ago before shaking himself back to the situation at hand. "Dammit... hey!" It... certainly wasn't a pretty sight. He had to fight the impulse to throw up at the sight of her blood-ridden form. Her overall outlook was extremely disheveled, her signature green and white dress no longer green and white, but completely dyed deep red. Blood can still be seen dripping from her hands, puddles of thick red liquid surrounded the chair she was tied on. However her face showed such a peaceful expression as though she had been through nothing more than a deep dreamless sleep. That... sick bastard... Surprising that coming from a natural killer, but still. "C-come on... we're getting you out... you're safe now, I'm here..." The boy muttered under his breath, as he steeled his guts and approached her. God merciful... she's still alive. You can't tell just how grateful he was at that small news. He quickly undid her bindings and carried her in a piggy-back. He needed to get out of here quick... he could hear the rapid footsteps of a ton of people storming down the hallway, no doubt they're the Professor's soldiers... dammit, he can't go out through the door, they must be close... ...He can go down, right? Classic. Raising his foot into the air the boy slammed his foot HARD into the floor, breaking it apart with a loud BOOM and forming a hold big enough for him to slip though. He's just hoping they're not actually waiting for him at the bottom floor though... ~~~~~ ...Where is this place? Somewhere in a somewhat uninhabited... village. The silence was eerily heavy. The darkness was so thick. There weren't any lights from any of the brick and wooden houses. The moon was dim, shrouded by the thick clump of clouds up in the air. So thick, the stars were almost nonexistent. ...Wait a minute... isn't this... The silver-haired girl turned her head around, and noticed a very familiar looking building. A building so old as she remembered it, but so new as she's looking at it. Her heart gave a painful jolt. ![]() A cathedral. The girl started shivering, slowly backing away from the direction of the church. There was this sense of unexplainable fear that was growing inside her. But was it really unexplainable? That was the very same... the very same church, from seven hundred years ago... Didn't... didn't she blew it up way back then...? Why... why is it here? Why is she here...? When is this...? Where is this? What is this?! |

Naturally while the largest number of soldiers were pursuing them, all the exits were properly sealed off with soldiers waiting for them, armed and ready. Attempting to use any of the exits would lead to a quick burst of automatic weapon fire. However perhaps more troubling was the explosion of smoke that filled the room. From it stepped Yuri Kuroki. She exploded into smoke once more, appearing behind Seth, she touched his back... Suddenly they were outside the widow of the bottom floor, dropping straight down over the cliff to the rocky mountains below. Meanwhile Yuri poofed again down to the ground, waiting to confirm their death.. Sadly she'd be waiting a long time. A green haired man with a sharp toothed grin appeared mid hair to spin kick Seth right out of mid air, and isntead of falling over the cliff he crashed into the cliff, landing on top of it. The man grinned broadly. "Nyaaaahh!! Your teleporting crap won't work today!" He said mockingly. Yuri shot him turning him into a puff of dust. He popped back up. "OW. STO-" BANG ..... "OW HE-" BANG ... .... ..... He poofed again. "Is it sa-" BANG Edited by Cypriss, Feb 10 2012, 11:27 AM.

"GAH!" It wasn't the most graceful of landing, but what can he do about it? The falling, the kicking and the landing all happened way too quickly for his brain to be able to process it. One moment he was in a smoke-filled room, next he was falling down a cliff, and then he was kicked off from mid-air and crashed on top of a cliff, landing hard on the snow-blanketed cliff, with Youma thrown off his back and landed a fair distance away. He grunted in pain, trying to push himself back up. The blanket of snow was thick enough to cover him up to his knees. It was cold. Damn cold, he had to say that. It didn't take more than a few seconds for him to succumb to the freezing atmosphere, shivering and having difficulty to move, as though his blood had been frozen inside him. However he cared less about his own safety and well-being than he cares about the unconscious girl over there. "H-hold... hold on... I'm c-coming..." The boy stuttered as he tried his best to reach her, wading through the sea of frozen water that's chilling him to the bone. ~~~~~ The silver-haired girl stared at the cathedral in aghast, incapable of comprehending the situation she's currently in. She spun around, only just now recognizing just where she really was. That's... the bakery... that's the flower shop... isn't that Helena's house...? That's old man Jenkin's barber shop...! Her fear was surmounting as her suspicion was continuously proven true with each sight she took in. She was back... back at the very first village she had completely wiped off the map seven hundred years ago in a blazing blue inferno... the stench of blood and death were everywhere... her swords glimmered menacingly in the eerie flickering flames... the moon was completely obscured in the heavy plume of black smoke... No doubt... it was the very... the very same place... Why is it still here? Why is she here? It would at least help if she could remember what she was doing prior to this, but it was impossible. Not today, not yesterday, not even last week, she couldn't remember it... what is going on here? Suddenly she felt her heart skip a beat, as she felt something grabbing on her shoulder. The girl was frozen, paralyzed in fear, anticipating something that really shouldn't be anticipated. Her hand was raised to feel it. It was... a hand of a well-built man. He... She knows... who this person... is... If the surroundings was something that can be used as her guide... ...Goddammit... please... please... please let it not be who she thought he is... |

An explosion of smoke and Yuri was standing on Seth's head. Another explosion and they were both up, high in the air, far across the alps from where they had been mere moments before. Just like her brother her power worked via line of sight. Taking him out windows and such indoors, but now that she was outside and on a mountain no less her range was far greater than it had been before. He didn't have long to fall. Very very soon he'd be in the snow, impacting with a loud crash but softened by the snow... Yuri vanished again, leaving him. She appeared over Youma, panting heavily, blood trickled down her nose. She was pushing it with all this. A few more and she'd be well and properly dead... That's when she got flying kicked to the back of the skull by the green man. However this time she was able to grab him and take him down with her, tumbling down the side of the slopes. At this time he exploded into air. She lay on the slopes, panting heavily waiting for him to show up again.. He didn't. She dragged herself back to her feet. Her arm was cut badly and bleeding, blood was flowing from her nose and she was limping heavily. The tumble down the slope had done quite a bit of harm. But she'd see it through. Even if she couldn't kill the phantom girl she could teleport her into a frozen lake to keep her out of commission until the Professor could seal her up into a block of iron. She limped towards the still girl.. Edited by Cypriss, Feb 11 2012, 02:23 AM.

What? No... NO! HE WAS SO CLOSE!!! GODDAMMIT WHY?! Out of frustration the boy, exhausted and freezing, injured and disoriented from the constant teleportation, slammed his fist into the snow. "AAARRRGH!!!" He yelled in dismay, cursing himself and his luck. ...No... he can't stop now... He's still yet to fulfill his promise with her from a year ago! The boy refused to be defeated, as he pulled himself back up, glancing around to determine where the hell he should go... ~~~~~ Her heart was beating rapidly. She wasn't sure if she wanted to turn around or not. It's not that it would make any difference since she knew what she would see if she did turn around, but at the same time not actually knowing only made it much worse for her. She just HAD to turn around... They say that humans are afraid of the unknown. Technically, Youma is still a human being. She knows what to expect, but she doesn't know if she was right or wrong. Not knowing made her afraid. And because she was afraid she wanted to know. Of course, she never had the chance. STAB. She totally didn't expect that to happen. It happened faster than her brain could register. Even when it did, all she could feel was numbness on her stomach. The girl was shaking from head to toe, sweating in fear and anxiety as she felt warm liquid trickling down her body. And she didn't even have time to confirm that either. Not that she needed to. She knew very well what just happened, and she knew very well what's gonna happen next. STAB. No sooner than the first silver blade of the dagger came, a second one went through her heart, eliciting a shocked gasp from the girl. She really couldn't be any more surprised than she should be, she knew very well this is gonna happen, but still. Eyes widened in terror and fear, tears trickling down uncontrollably down her face, blood seeping through her closed mouth, as she tried hard to hold back the scream that was dying to escape her. Of course, the girl would regret it later for trying to act tough. The silver blade was pulled out of her in a sudden, causing another bloody gasp to escape her mouth. The girl's knee gave away as she fell to the ground on all four, grasping the profusely bleeding spot on her chest. Thick red liquid seeping through her cold fingers and quickly forming a sickening red puddle underneath her. She couldn't feel pain, instead she felt completely numb all over. Because of that probably, she didn't even feel that her wounds have already closed. "See. Told you she's a monster," Yet another jolt of horrifying revelation. She knew that voice very well. The very first person whom had taken care of her since that time... also the very first person whom had tried to kill her. "Good grief... you're right, she is..." "And to think she's been... what are we to do with her?" "We don't want monsters in this village. Burn her!" The girl couldn't help it. She HAD to turn around and confirm it with her own two eyes. And regretted it immediately. All of a sudden all around her were a large group of people, surrounding her on one side. All of them approaching her with hushed nasty sounding whispers, disgusted and wretched looks on their faces, all of them directed towards the single girl in green and white dress on the ground. No... no way... this can't be right... you guys... you guys can't kill her... Even as she said that a rock came flying and struck her hard on the head. The girl reeled backward in pain, clutching her bleeding--"OW!" Yet another one struck her, and another, and another, and another, and in no time at all she was assaulted by a hail of them. "NO! QUIT IT!" The girl yelled, raising her arms in an attempt to shield herself with little avail, crawling away as fast as she could from the mob. "Stop... stop it! I never wanted to kill you guys!" Her protest however went unnoticed, and the attacks against her not relenting. From the corner of her eyes she could see torches, pitchforks, cleavers being raised above the people's head. It's classic, probably even cliched. But try putting yourself in her shoes, you wouldn't be laughing about it. There's no way she can laugh about it, no one can. "No... no... no..." The girl could only repeat it, as though it was a mantra hoping it would drive them away. Of course, it didn't. "NOOOOOOOO!!!!" ~~~~~ BOOOOMMMM A massive explosion of energy came from the seemingly unconscious half-phantom. It sent out a powerful shockwave that ripped through the thin mountainous air, kicking up the the thick blanket of snow all around her into the air. Not just that, but the snow seemed to be melting, even turning to steam and clouding up the surroundings with scalding hot mist of water. Through the fog however, one could make out the faint outline of the half-phantom, standing at the middle with both Roukanken and Hakurouken in her hands. That... that shouldn't be possible right? She should be too weak to even be conscious. Well. She is now. But her mind is awake in a completely different era altogether. What the girl could see was not the vast snowy mountainous area of the French Alps. What she's seeing now is the black and dark village of bricks and woods, a cathedral in front of her, the completely clouded night sky up above her, and behind her, the entire citizens of the village, backing off in shock and terror. So... they wanted to kill her? Why don't she kill them first? |

"...Tch!" Yuri spat, clenching her fists. "You lot really don't know when to give up do you..?" However even as she said it she began to realize the gravity of the situation. This girl was producing an amazing killing aura. Just one look at her showed very clearly how intent she was to end Yuri's life.. And that confidence made Yuri believe she could do it.. One misstep and Yuri would be toast.. But.. Yuri didn't make mistakes. She simply needed to warp into the girl's range, touch her, and release her like she had the boy. It would take mere seconds... IT would.. and yet... and yet... That killing intent... that aura! ..It was... it was terrifying.. Like gravity weighing her down..! Or maybe it was from overusing her power? She couldn't stop now... She couldn't..! She exploded into smoke and reappeared behind Youma. She grabbed Youma and vannished...! Only to reappear mere feet away. She staggered forward sucking in a deep painful cold breath as blood gushed from her nose..! This was it.. she was at her limit... |

It was probably a mistake not to run away in the first place. No, it WAS a mistake not to run away in the first place. The girl seemed somewhat unphased by the fact that she had just been teleported away. Granted, it was just a few feet away, not much to be even be of notice, but still. As though she didn't even realize Yuri was there in the first place. Not surprising. In her mind she couldn't see Yuri. She could only see the people she knew from seven hundred years ago, all of them scurrying away like little rats, right after saying they're gonna kill her. Hah... yeah, that's right. Run off. Let's play a game of cat and mouse, shall we? The girl raised her hand holding Hakurouken- BOOOMMM!!! -and all of a sudden a large crater appeared not far away right behind Yuri, as though something gigantic and heavy had crashed onto the face of the Earth at high speed, flattening and compressing the ground and blowing up the snow into the air. There was also a thin and long incision on the ground that trailed from the center of the crater to the tip of her Hakurouken, that was resting on the ground, just inches besides Yuri's foot. What... kind of power is that...? The girl chuckled darkly, raising her sword at the sight of the bloody mess on the ground. Poor people, flattened like pancake. Blood splattered everywhere and there were no traces of any bodies around whatsoever, just a pile of gooey red mush that no one would ever want to imagine what it looked like. They never knew what hit them. Well, at least they didn't suffer much. The girl rested the sword on her shoulder, looking around at the place that was almost completely deserted. Running away? No way she's letting that happen... it's their fault for trying to kill her first. Pfft. Yeah right. No, she just wanted to kill everyone. And this little one here... the half-phantom looked down, and notices Yuri. Her eyes that was normally dark-blue was now completely red. They were absent from her usual cheery and energetic shine or otherwise exasperated, bored and grumpy sullenness. No, this time they were wild and spiked with nothing but madness and insanity. The sort of eyes that are only owned by those who sees killing as an enjoyment, as a sport, as a way of life. They can't live without it, and... funnily enough, that's how she spends every single day of her life for seven hundred long years. There's no kindness, no sympathy, no mercy, just pure murderous intent that far surpasses even that of a natural killer. And that grin on the half-phantom's face definitely does not mean anything good. The girl tightened her grip on Roukanken- BOOOOMMMM!!!! FLASH!!! An eruption of white light, at the same time the very ground in front of the half-phantom quite literally exploded from within, disintegrating everything and anything within a ten meters radius in a cloud of dust. The thick clump of debris was completely blown off by the half-phantom swinging her Roukanken lightly through the cloud... and what was to be seen was... terrifying, the extent of her powers... There was... literally nothing. Nothing. A massive chunk of the ground in front of her seemed to have just... disappeared. It wouldn't be a stretch to say that Yuri was caught in the blast and was incinerated as well. The half-phantom didn't think so, however. Scowling slightly at this unexpected turn of event, she turned around. Only to find both a girl, and a boy. "Geh... are... are you alright...?" Wait, how was it even possible for him to be here? Wasn't he teleported by Yuri to a place as far as her eyes could reach? Unless he himself has got teleportation capability, there's no way for him to be able to get here in a blink of an eye... Of course, there's always explanation to everything. Him and Youma are bound together by a contract that allows him to summon her at his side, anytime, anyhow, and anywhere without any regards to any type of condition or situation whatsoever. Then... how about the other way around? No, don't ask me how it actually managed to work, it just does! V muttered angrily in his head. |

Deus landed, with the japanese reaper thrown over his shoulder. He evne took human form. The black cloak on over him. He only went partially human, only visible but not tangible, so he could be seen but not be freezing in the artic wastes. He tossed the girl down and summoned Thanatos to seal her up in a charm bracelet to take back to the reaper. "Listen, you two. This place seems pretty dangerous. Do you guys want me to take you back to Hyakuji..? It's a pain but I owe you at least this much to make up for what the female reaper did.." He said before finally reading the mood a bit. "Ah.. uh... Is.. she alright..?" He said curiously, tightening his grip on Chained Thanatos. This.. wasn't good.. Not good at all.. |

"I... I dunno... what's going on..." He panted, refusing to let Yuri go in case Youma starts attacking right at that very moment. He seriously do not know what's going on with Youma... or how the girl actually managed to get this much power in the first place...? Was she... always this strong...? And... bloodthirsty...? That... that can't be right... can it? I mean... that can't be Youma... sure, the Youma he knew was quite inclined to cut someone up when given the chance, but she would never actually do it... ...Right...? How very wrong he was. Enlightened Sword "Rise from Delusion" All of a sudden Youma's Roukanken exploded, rapidly engulfing it in a massive stream of flaming blue inferno that's unnaturally cool to the touch. The flames wrapped itself around the sword, spreading and expanding across the already oversized blade and practically multiplying its size to... something that makes describing it with the word 'behemoth' is an understatement. That thing could practically cleave a building in half... standing there vertically in her hand, the sheer amount of energy being concentrated within that unnaturally gargantuan blade of flame would instill more than just insurmountable fear. Have you ever known what it feels like to be crushed by a skyscraper? Well, it's not a skyscraper, but it's close. BOOOOOMMMM!!!!! The blade fell down on all three of them with enough force to split the whole cliff cleanly in half. She couldn't care less if they managed to dodge it or block it or... whatever. She just wanted to slam it down on them, crush them, slice them, mutilate them to millions of tiny little pieces, see their blood spraying about in a mist of red, that is what she wanted to see, she did not care if she was murdering men, she did not care if she was murdering women, she did not care if she was murdering kids, she did not care even if she was murdering Death himself!!! They all tried to kill her so they all should just DIE!!! ALL OF THEM SHOULD JUST DIE!!! DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIEEE!!!!! |

"... This is just like the ancients!" Deus said gripping his scythe firmly in his hands. "Spirits that reside too long in this world break down...Life and Death are unstoppable forces.. Creatures that exist beyond death are an aberration of that process. In a perfect system the energy used is replenished by the energy generated. Souls return to death creating energy for new souls, their experiences become the raw power needed for the creation of new souls. As they experience more they give more energy back to the sytem. Billions having billions of experiences create energy enough for even more billions..." He flew back as she swung it, and yet even in spirit form it hurt! This attack was spiritual... Was that even more proof she was an ancient? "However... Those that stand still in that flow, in that torrent that is life and death are obstructions that reapers must deal with... resisting the flow of energies between life death and rebirth breaks down the spirit and degrades it, eventually resulting in madness and a form that defies the very concept of form! Is it possible this event served as a catalyst...?" He clenched his teeth. "BOY... .You'd better get her under control or else... or else... I'll have no choice but to remove the aberration!" |

It was only in the nick of time did he managed to leap out of the way of the attack, but even without touching him the gale generated from the sheer force of it ripped across him with so much strength that it blew him off like a piece of paper. The boy landed in a heap away from the cliff, groaning in pain as he attempted to push himself back up. "Youma... no, stop it... you're not like that..." The boy muttered in horror as he raised his head, watching the half-phantom repeatedly hammering the cliff with such brutality, reducing the ground in front of her to nothing more than dust. "Wha... how am I supposed to do that?!" Seth yelled back in panic. He seriously do not know what he's supposed to do to help her at this point, the girl's bout of insanity had gone well beyond the point of no return... The shock of suddenly approaching Death again and again and again and again in such a short amount of time, more than she had ever been since her time of peace had broken her mind... She had been forced to relive the traumatizing events from seven hundred years ago, the very same event that turned her into a monster of blood lust... Perhaps that could also explain how she managed to rack up that much power in such a short time. Having nearly trespassed the line that separated life and death so much in so little time, the barrier that separated her from being completely dead or completely alive was broken, the enormous amount of power from her spirit part resting in afterlife was being wrenched through the gaps. So at this moment, she's just as powerful, if not more, as herself seven hundred years in the past. The calamity demon that terrorized the whole country seven hundred years ago has awakened. She's back to do it some more. With one final blow on the poor landscape that really left her with nothing more to mutilate the girl finally stopped, the gargantuan flaming blue sword dissipated to nothingness, leaving the core of it in her hand. That's not it... the girl thought, raising her solemn looking face slightly. That's not it... that's not satisfying at all... Even after such murderous demonstration of power she was, disturbingly enough, still not content of... everything. Where are the bodies? Where are the terrified screams of sinful humans that chilled her to the bone? Where are the spurting mist of red whenever she beheads anyone? Where are the sounds of raging men, begging women, crying children? Where are the sounds of armies, with their battle cries marching up to their deaths? Where are the things that had made her life so... enjoyable... for seven hundred years...? ...Enjoyable...? Yeah... it's fun... killing them... killing them all... They... tried to kill her first... She's... she's just... trying to protect herself... And that's... fun...? The girl turned her head around, noticing a somewhat beat-up boy standing there besides another girl. Her mouth curled up in a malicious grin as she turned around to face him, Hakurouken and Roukanken hanging limply in her hands. Well then... how about this time... we take it slow? The boy stepped back, clearly with the look of fear on his face, knowing full well what was going to happen next. He's going to die. The half-phantom dropped Hakurouken on the ground, raising Roukanken in front of her, pointing the tip straight at his heart. He's gonna die... he's gonna die, he knows it so well, looking into her mad red eyes that craved for nothing more than his death and cutting up his body... Her eyes glinted. For one fleeting moment one could see her baring her teeth in excitement, as she suddenly disappeared from view in a blink of an eye. ...If he's gonna die, at least let him help her first! STAB. ... One massive blade went through his abdomen, ripped through skin, flesh and bone like paper. Blood dripped and trickled from the wound, in no time at all coloring the snow surrounding him in red. He stood still, numb all over with his eyes wide in shock. The girl right in front of him, also unmoving, had her hands gripping tightly on the hilt of the oversized blade. His blood trailed down the sharp edge of her sword, staining it with the stench of death. The girl grinned widely. Yes... this... this is what she's been waiting for... stabby stabby stabby~ spill your blood for me~ let me take your life away~ I don't know how to sing, but that's alright, because I'm having fun turning your body to mince meat~ The girl was overcome with exhilaration as she started to giggle, before slowly turning to a loud mad laugh that echoed eerily across the mountainous range. "HAAAHAHAHAHAH!!! THAT'S RIGHT!!! HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE DEAD?! IT'S FUN RIGHT?! OF COURSE IT'S FUN!!! HAAAAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!" "No. It's not fun at all," The girl's laughter was cut off. She only had a moment to stare at him in annoyance before something unexpected happened. The girl suddenly felt a pair of arms wrapping around her head, and next moment she was pulled into a hug. What... what is this, don't touch me you--! "Dying is... not fun..." The girl seemed to freeze as she heard his voice, speaking to her, not harshly, not with hatred, not with revulsion, but with warmth, kindness and sympathy. Why would he talk to her like that...? She just killed him, dammit! BE ANGRY, BE MAD, BE SCARED!!! JUST LIKE EVERYONE WHOM SHE TRIED TO KILL, AND HAD KILLED! DON'T TAKE AWAY HER ENJOYMENT DAMMIT!!! "You're not a killer, Youma," The voice continued, and at the mention of her own name not only her body was frozen, but so was her mind. The way he said her name... "I don't believe you're a killer. As far as I know you're the kindest, most innocent person I've come to met in this whole world... You're pure and white as a pearl, unstained, untarnished..." She suddenly heard him cough, and something warm and wet dribbled down her shoulder... "I know I've said... I don't like you at all, but..." The girl suddenly felt something heavy just fell on her shoulder, as his knees gave away. "H-hey...! Are... are you..." The girl had to fall to her knees as well. She couldn't support his weight, not because she doesn't have the ability to do so. But because... "...you know..." The boy continued, though apparently with a great amount of effort just to even speak. "...If... if I had to pick... one person... I'd want to be with..." His voice started to shudder with every syllable, growing fainter and fainter every moment. The girl could actually feel it, his life force ebbing away very quickly, leaving nothing but strands of it left in his body... "I'd pick you... because you're like... the most... important..." His voice died off. His body now a dead weight on her shoulder. The girl waited... waited... waited for him to go on... but he won't go on. "...Oi..." She said in a small voice, raising a shaky hand up to touch his head. "...Oi..." The girl repeated, raising another hand to shift him off her shoulder, placing him on the ground. "...Oi..." She said again, staring at his somewhat lifeless figure... He looked so peaceful... smiling even... What... what the hell is he smiling about... "...Hey... hey, wake up..." The girl said with a slight shudder, shaking him slightly. "Come on... wake up... you're... you're just sleeping, right...? Tell me you're just... come on... say something... say something... DAMMIT SAY SOMETHING!!!" Intense sadness and guilt washed over her like a tsunami. Most of the time she would do her best to act as tough as possible in front of everyone, refusing to show any kind of weakness and putting on the most confident of expression at the face of any adversaries. But right now she couldn't be bothered to do that. "SAY... SAY SOMETHING... SAY SOMETHING, YOU IDIOT!!!" Tears streaming down her face uncontrollably, as she screamed her throat off at the lifeless body. There's no way she can hold it back, her mind would explode if she tried. And even if she wanted to, there's no denying it. She killed him. She killed him with her own two hands, she killed the very person whom had helped her so much, who never betrayed her, who would do anything to have her laugh and smile in the end... "Dammit... why... why... you... you idiot... lolicon..." |
