Ryo led Mira to the mall, then inside the mall to the arcade, then inside the arcade to the VR pods. "Well, here we are. All we have to do is step inside, choose ourselves as characters, and create a stage for us to fight in. Then it's as easy as a regular fight. People can watch us on the large monitor there,"he said, pointing to a large TV screen on the wall.

"Sounds like fun." she mentions. She promptly gets into the pod, and lays down. For a moment, she wondered if the pods worked with metaphysical beings the same way they worked with humans, though it was quickly proven it did.

She promptly selected herself on the menu, and prepared for the fight.

Ryo followed suit and got into an adjacent pod. He went through the list of characters till he found his own picture. "This should be fun,"he said. He then looked at the different stages. He as he was going through the list, he accidentally hit Random Stage and in a blur of light, the two of them stood in a strange place.

It looked like a TV studio except everything was in a wash of yellow light and there was a massive pile of TVs in the middle of the arena. Music began to play as well. "Well I guess this works for a battlefield,"Ryo said as he took one step back, turning himself sideways so as to make himself a smaller target.

Mira smiled.

"Well, let's get this party started." she told them "Cause' I'm not holding back."

The skeletal horse appeared under her, instantly mounting the beast. In her hand, a long scythe appeared. Being a spirit weapon, it appeared to have no wear, and was clearly inordinately sharp, thanks to the weapon's magical properties.

"Charge!" she mentioned, as the horse and it's rider shot off at breakneck speeds towards Ryo.

"How do you guys feel about facing the end of the world?"Ryo said with a determined smile on his face. He began to reach for his right arm when Terion stopped him.

"Not yet. Use it as a last resort,"his shadow said.

"Fine then,"Ryo said as he snapped his fingers. He generated a concentrated arc of electricity in his hand. He altered the charges in his hand till the arc bent itself into the shape of a sword. The odd thing was, it wasn't a bolt of black lightning. Little did Mira know, this blade was a trap, designed to impart a huge charge into whatever he hit with it. Ryo charged forward towards the horsewoman and swung his blade at her scythe, keeping low to the ground so as to avoid a one-hit kill from her scythe.

Hook, line, sinker. Mira got zapped, as her scythe made contact with the blade as she swung. The horse took a bit of the lightning too, but it didn't do much damage, seeing as a lightning bolt can only do so much against something made exclusively from bone. However, the impact didn't last long, as the horse kept moving, minimizing the amount of damage. If the two wanted to temporarily paralyze her.

Riding past him, the horse spun around quicker than even the most well-tuned vehicle would have any right to be able to. As she turned around, she let out a laugh, even though she was still hurting. It wasn't a laugh of steeped in arrogance. It was because she was having quite a good time with already, the fight against Monty hadn't been so fun. The robodweeb had been rather obnoxious to her.

Riding back towards the boy, she upped the ante, riding towards the boy, and seeing what he would do before she made her next choice.

Ryo's attack had done its job and had charged the weapon. "Tell me. Do you know the law of electromagnetism? That like charges repel?"Ryo said. He went into a dash, running right at his foe, using the same charge blade as before. Should his theory about how the blade existed be correct, hitting it would cause the scythe to fly out of Mira's hands. He had to hope he was right because as he swung his blade at the scythe again, there might not be an easy escape for him.

Mira smirked as he approached.

"Enough to know it'd probably be bad news for me!" she mentioned. Quickly pulling on the reins, the horse turned around, and with another quick pull, reared it's bony hooves. If Mira had her way, Ryu would get a face full of it. The bone wouldn't conduct electricity too well, while some of it would find it's way to the rider, most find it's way back to the ground without hurting the archdemoness.

Oh shoot.

That's all Ryo could think as he saw the hoof coming right at him. He couldn't think of how to escape. His mind had frozen.

Ugh I have to do everything around here.Terion thought. He quickly took over Ryo's body and altered the charge in the ground at Ryo's feet and the charge in Ryo's feet. He was flung like a rag doll away from the swift kick aimed at his head and he rolled to a stop 20 feet away.

Ryo was suddenly back in control, not knowing what had happened. You need to learn that a rider and its animal act as a team. You can't get by just going for the rider.

Got it.Ryo thought. "It looks like I under estimated you. It won't happen again,"he said. He closed his eyes as he focused his mind. The increased neural activity ramped up his energy capacity to a very high level. Ryo felt the power as it trickled across his skin. He grabbed a hold of one of the light stands and smashed the light off on the ground as well as smashed the legs of the stand. He now had a pole arm of his own. Its hollow metal structure shrieked as it became filled with black lightning. Ryo twirled it a bit before holding it like a lance.

"You better not." she replied.

Mira stopped her horse.

"Yeah, like I'm going to charge into that. How dumb does he think I am?" she thought. She began to ride somewhat a circle with difficult to predict movements. Thing is, she knew that maintaining that couldn't last forever, either from holding the freakin' light pole, or holding the charge. She also wanted to see if he found the lightpole unwieldy and heavy or not. Her gigantic scythe wasn't small, to say the least, but she'd had experience with fighting with it. He doubted the boy was accustomed to fighting with polearms.

She was right. Um guys....I know I looked cool and all just then but.....I haven't really used a pole arm that much. I've used a steel pipe as a weapon a few times but not a pole like this.

Then I will guide you. Do exactly as I tell you, when I tell you.Model S thought. Ryo sighed. This didn't look good. Now, hold the weapon in the middle so that it's weight is balanced. If you do that, you will have more control and its weight won't through you off as much.

Ryo did as he was told and realized the biometal was right. He rushed towards Mira, keeping low to the ground, and keeping the pole parallel to the ground. As he neared her, kept his momentum going forward but diagonally up, bringing the lance out in front of him so that he might knock her off her horse.

Idiot.
Problem was, his guard was right open.

It was like a militia footsoldier going up against a knight, in terms of sheer experience with polearms. Mira swung her scythe with great technique, she may have been drained of sheer power, but she was not for want of combat experience, having spent much of her childhood fighting as both for practice for a role she would later reject, and for sheer sport as she is doing now. To make matters more complicated for him, she sped her horse up as he got nearer to throw off his aim.

Ryo was swatted away like a fly by a swing from that scythe. He hit the ground and rolled a bit before he got up. "Dang it. Forget military techniques! I'm going to do things by instinct,"he said as he gripped the pole tighter. The screeching got louder and the pole was burned in half by Ryo's lightning. He held the two pieces of metal like twin swords. He realized Mira was once again charging at him. He hit the two pieces together and as he separated them, a huge arc of electricity spanned between them. He ran towards Mira, a blank stare in his eyes. As he came up to the rider, he altered the charge in the ground, enabling him to jump over her. While in mid air, he threw the two pieces of pole down on either side of Mira, aiming to catch her in the electricity field that crossed between the metal poles.

The technique was somewhat effective, due to it's utterly unorthodox nature. She once again was zapped, fairly burned. As with humans with electrical burns, she looked less injured than she actually was, since electricity is notorious for it's inclination towards internal injury, rather than external damage.

However, she once again rode through it, the horse finding the electrical current far less painful than the demon girl riding it. The main issue with the two successful attacks so far had been that they had been reduced in effectiveness since the normal, yet temporary paralysis that effected people didn't stop the skeletal horse.

Unfortunately, she had been stunned long enough to ruin her chance of an immediate counter attack. She once again rode towards him, vastly slowing down when she got near him, hoping to make him waste an attack.

Ryo sighed. His attack still wasn't enough. "Looks like I've only got one option,"he said. He took one step to the right, then another, then another, then he broke out into a sprint, running from the horsewoman, touching lights and cameras and TVs as he went. Once he had touched everything, he jumped up to the top of the TV mountain, which was about 15 feet tall. "Lets see if you can reach me."
