"Forgive me for being burned by hellspawn in the past." said Terado, a dark aura hanging around his words as he spoke. He continued to move around, spraying his blood in large burst and leaving lines of blood everywhere. It was far from a pretty sight, even describing it as such would be the scene a favour. However Terado knew of only one way to overwhelm any opponant. Do it fast and don't let them get a steady footing. He was not worried about the skeletal horse, not one bit. As Mira charged with the horse, Terado jumped to the side, feeling the scythe swing by him as well as the hooves of the horse resonding loudly in his ears. However, as he jumped out of the way, he fire another two buckshots of blood at Mira, aiming one for her and the other at her horse. "Do you really think that beast is going to help you beat me?" |

"Dur! Why do you think I'm using it!?" she shouted back. The last buckshot hit Mira's right leg and hip. The horse takes the buckshot of blood in the chest. "Spattering blood over me won't do you any good!" she shouted. She turns her horse around when she gets to a distance... and then the horse charges forward at the speed of a car. She then swings her scythe at Terado, once again. |

Red Fountains power was slowly waning and as such, it allowed Terado to stop bleeding so excessively. It was useful, but even he needed a moment to catch his breath afterwards. He clenched his fists, letting his regeneration kick in slowly. He could have transformed and have the wounds heal even faster, but there was no need as far as he was concerned. What were a few extra drops of blood for a blood shaman after all? Terado rolled away once again, although this time somewhat more feebly, still catching his breath, before standing and raising his hands to be level with his shoulders, his palms facing skywards. He looked directly at Mira and her horse and chanted, "ʞɔol puɐ dɐɹʍ suıɐɥɔ əɥʇ ʇəl 'ɥʇɐəɹq ƃuıdsɐƃ puɐ uns ƃuıʇʇəs ɥʇıʍ." Blood Seal. A technique that could leave one completely helpless. A spell to seal power away, even if it was only temporarily. What was a skeletal horse with power? A bunch of bones waiting to crumble. What was a demon horsewoman with access to her power? Caught out. The spell wouldn't last long, but it would be all the time Terado needed. |

Mira felt her power slip away. She knew that if she flat out killed, she'd still come back. Her resurrection abilities was more of a result of her odd relationship to the magical physics than any powers. At that point, the demon horse crumbled into bones before disappearing. Her own scythe's powers were sealed away, it for now was a normal scythe. She rushed over with her scythe, which at this point, was just an odd polearm. But it was hopeless, she'd hold out if she could "Tsh... If I had half the level of power I used to... you'd be a pushover at best. You saw the horse. You think that something else was wrong with this picture? That the former fourth horsewoman of the apocalypse shouldn't have been that weak? I forsook my infernal power. You can't say that something is always evil, after all, blood magic is an art with nasty reputation, and here you are practicing it." she told him "If you kill me, I'll just come back. 'Back to whence I came' ain't Hell. It's Earth at this point. I ain't going to get on my knees and beg for mercy." |

Terado's eyes flared for a moment and his murderous aura almost escaped the reigns of his control, his animalistic brutality on the verge of release. However, Terado clenched his fist, forcing himself to regain some sense before he let his werewolf nature out of its cage. He looked at Mira, who was standing in an area surrounded with blood. Terado walked towards her, uttering the sealing chant again. If she wasn't careful about her foot placement, she would soon realise that Terado could continue to seal her power with each new droplet of his blood than came into contact with her. Terado knew well the stigma attached to blood magic. Knew well of how it had been twisted by the dark arts, by the Occult and Vampiric beings. It had not started as such however. Blood was the life-force of magic. The birth of a new life, the magical current within beings. All of these related to the life-force that was blood. He didn't expect Mira to understand though and very few others did aside from people he had begun to teach, like Yuki. "I'd expect nothing less from a neophyte demon like you. Whatever power you may have had, is not longer at your disposal. And judging from what I've seen today, you are of no threat to anyone really, let alone myself." Terado then turned away from her, examing his self-inflicted injuries casually. He then looked at Mira, "I never planned on killing you or making you beg for mercy. From one immortal to another, attempting to kill one of us gets a person nowhere. That's why I'll seal you away should you ever get too uppity." Terado placed a hand on his hip, looking at Mira, "You're an interesting little oddity, Mira Morningstar. I still don't trust you, but if thats the story you're sticking to, I guess I'll believe it for now." Terado wasn't entirely sure about Mira, but if she was who she said she was and spoke and acted like this, perhaps it really was the truth? A rider of the apocolypse had some form of back-bone, unlike most demons. They didn't mince their words. He stepped closer towards her, in order to offer his hand to Mira and call a small truce, "My name is Terado." |

Once she was able to, she unsummoned her scythe. The pile of bones that is her horse reassembled themselves, before it too left, the blood falling off of it as it left. She seemed relieved that she wasn't going to be attacked any more. She wasn't offended by being called a neophyte, she was very young by demon standards, even if her bloodline classified her as a high level demon. As for her knowledge, Mira, being raised by someone far on the 'evil' end of the scale, but having actually had contact with god himself, the greatest good, gave her a strong idea of the concept of good and evil. "Fair enough. Heck, my whole goal is for people to not know I'm a demon, for obvious reasons." she told him. He wouldn't have to worry about that, she was quite happy to lay low so she wouldn't be attacked. It was obvious what she meant, there was a clear 'smite first, ask questions later' mentality with demons. What people failed to remember was the demons of Hell were once angels. "Well, nice to meet you." she told him. |

Terado then let his hands fall back to his side, grateful to feel his regenerative powers had at least allowed the torn flesh to scab over for now. However, he needed to take care of the mess he had made in the surrounding area. He slowly whispered the sealing chant and watched as all the blood began to slowly shimmer before vanishing. With nothing of power to seal, Terado's blood began to fade into nothingness. At least the place was cleaner now. He then turned his attention back to Mira, a curious look on his face, "So, englighten me little rider. Which Horseman are you exactly? Clearly not one stocky enough to incite War. Perhaps annoying enough to Pestilence. However the Scyhte inclines me to believe that there is an aura of Death about you. No?" Terado had expected a rider to be somewhat different, infernal power or not. However if that Mira said was the truth, then he was in the pressence of an immortal with a decent amount of signifigance. Even he could acknowledge that, even if he had not openly spoken too much about his own origins. Of course, as an old habbit, he hardly did that to begin with. |

Well, the disappearance of blood meant she wouldn't need a shower when she got home. Or change clothes. That made everything easier. "Last one's right, Death." she told him "Though if you think I'm annoying... Pestillance could have probably wiped out a whole city just by them all going insane from her whining. Might as well have been the Horsewoman of Drama." She changed back to her human form, so nobody starts an uproar if they see a demon girl around where they were. "I don't suppose I get a hint or two about who you are, beyond just a name. I may have lost most my power, and I still may be young but I've been trained well. And you just flat out curb stomped me." she asked him. |

So she was the horsewoman of Death. Interesting to note. There may have been a cycle to this, where the mantle was passed from rider to rider, especially considering she mentioned Pestilence was a female as well. Terado had always been under the impression they were much more...masculine. Regardless of this, he supposed he could tell her somewhat about himself. Not all of course, but enough for her to understand who he was. She seemed eager to know what kind of force he was judging by her last statement. "Truth be told, the name I gave you isn't even my true name. I forgot it several millennium ago when I was blessed with immortality by Gaia." Terado began to walk away from the area where he and Mira had been fighting, deciding it best to tell his story on the way, not wanting to stick around should the authorities come and ask questions. He motion for her to follow him and then continued. "I come from an ancient tribe, I should say around 600 B.C. when King Josiah of Judah died in the Battle of Megiddo. Humanity was on a rise, a golden age of concurring and power was being born. Alongside this however, there was another race growing alongside them that they were unaware of." He looked at Mira, with a small smile on his face, "I suppose they could be considered a demon's earthbound brethren. They were called Others. Creatures who were different from humanity, spoken about in folklore and fairy tails, with very few humans knowing the truth. Creatures such as vampires, pixies, orcs, goblins, trolls, dragons and lizard-men. All of these were known as Others." Terado then indicated to himself, "I was part of a tribe of others known as Sentinels. Raised alongside beings of nature known as Totems, the duty of policing the Others fell to us. We used the Totems' power to aid our means and in the end, the main source of our power was corrupted. My clan was wiped out and to this day I have come to understand I am its only survivor. I continued to fight the good fight, doing what I could, only to discover that humans were more than capable of handling themselves. Even more so. Others were hunted as trophies to declare a man's bravery. Those dragon slayers of old. They were cruel, powerful men. In my eye, mean who were so blinded by chivalry they could not see the dragon's soul for his scales." Terado took a left turn, heading towards a bridge nearby and walking along it as cars gently passed by, "I could do only one thing after that. Seal away the Totems power so they too would not fall against the humans, or be used by the humans. In honor of this, Gaia blessed me with longevity so that I could complete my task. Not all of them went down easily, but most do lie safely dormant now, beneath the earth." He looked at Mira and smiled, "Is that enough of a hint, as to what I am?" That wasn't the full story, due to the Hyakujian janitor leaving out the his true werewolf nature, but it was certainly enough for Mira to comprehend that Terado was no mere man. |

"Well, that explains why I got stomped." she shrugged "Well, I've already pretty much told you my life's story. As for my goals, my end goal is to live long enough to regain a good chunk of my own power through training. Plain and simple, I figure that if I become powerful enough to where essentially become an incredible force, powerful evil beings will basically decide to stop getting out of their bed in the morning so I don't beat them into the ground." She shrugged. "But of course, my short term goal is to basically become familiar enough to everyone that if they ever find out my true nature, they won't try to kill me." she told him. She then thought of something. "Oh, and just a heads up... I think Amon, Lord of War, is in Hyakuji. And no, before you ask, he has nothing to do with the Horseman of War. Totally different person." she warned him. ((OOC: 'Amon' being the name of the demon who Hiro's character basically reverse possessed)) |

Terado shook his head, "That's never gonna happen. When a powerful force exists, there's always going to be another few out there who are going to try steal it for themselves, or at the very least, challenge it for dominance. It's how the world works." Be it human, demon or Other, there was always a struggle to be top of the food chain. That was why Terado kept his power hidden so often, because he didn't like being noticed by such forces as it simply made life more complicated. "Well if you want to get on with people, might I suggest supressing your combatative nature a bit? There's an old proverb, 'He who speaks, does not know. He who knows, does not speak.' Basically just keep your head out of trouble and you will make friends fast enough, I'm sure." When Mira suddenly spoke of this Amon warmonger, Terado raised and eyebrow. He had heard little to nothing of this person. Was the little demon trying to stir trouble? Or was she beiong kind enough to warn him in advanced? "Amon, Lord of War? What exactly is he doing here? I don't suppose you have a rough guess as to what he wants to do here?" Was he trying to cause confusion within Hyakuji to bolster his own ranks to cause a war, as was his namesake? |

"Fair enough I guess. Well, I guess I have literally forever to guess what I'm going to do with the rest of my eternal life." she shrugged. She'd still try to become powerful, she'd just have to be be more careful. Terado then told her about not attracting attention. "Don't worry, it's not like I just attack anybody for no reason." she mentions "I usually just hide my aura and stay in human form." As for Amon, she took her guess. "I've figured that he was here trying to hunt me down and kill me. I mean, for real kill me. Kinda nixing Armageddon probably p*ssed a lot of demons off." she guessed "I caught wind of his aura, and we even made eye contact... but he didn't try to kill me. It's strange, but he didn't even seem to know who I was, let alone attack me. He should have recognized me, even if I was in my human form and suppressing my aura. I don't think he'd be the repentant type either." |

Terado listened to the reasons as to why this Amon was targeting Mira. As she spoke he began to slowly see a part of her that he had initially doubted. It would take a bit more than a conversation to win him over, but he was at least willing to listen to what she was saying. Preventing Armageddon was truly a great feat, especially considering it was a horseman's duty to partially invoke and participate in it. The Sentinel began to think for a moment, wondering as to why a demon hell-bent on killing Mira would pass up a chance in her somewhat weaker state. "A demon isn't exactly like a normal person who relies on sight alone. You must remember that the majority of demons are born with the ability to sense power. The fact that you said you were recreated in human form without evil resting in your heart could have been what threw him off." There was some plausible reasoning at work. Each person prefers to recognize people in a particular way. "For a demon, trusts magical senses as opposed to sight, he may have thought your human appearance was copied and unoriginal. Many demons can change their form at will. Naturally those familiar with such trickery wouldn't trust their eyes. Perhaps that is why he passed you by." The alternative to that was perhaps Amon was confirming Mira's whereabouts in order to set a trap for her.... |

He had a few details wrong, but he had some things there. "I wasn't recreated in human form. Essentially, I was just resurrected, and slightly 'reformatted' in a way, just without being necessarily 'infernal'. My personality is essentially the same too. Essentially, on the Holy-Unholy axis, I was just put in the 'neutral' category, roughly where humans are. Like you said, this is just me in a different form, the form I fought you in was my true form." she explained "If he was searching for power specifically though, I could see why. My level of power may be above most humans, but this city happens to have plenty of humans that are stronger than most humans. He might be looking for me, but given that I'm not exactly unholy or powerful anymore, mistook me for someone else." |

Terado nodded as Mira elaborated on her resurrection. Terado began to wonder for a moment that perhaps this was a way of testing the horsemen before unleashing Armageddon. Surely the need to launch Armageddon would depend not on demons, but on a council made up for the four horsemen, to decide whether humanity had truly lost all hope and needed to be destroyed. Still, these were thoughts he could save for another time. He nodded in agreement, "Exactly. As of right now, I would be safe to say that you're just part of a flock right now." Terado then began to think for a moment. She had literally just told him that a great demon of war was in the city. Was that perhaps then, "Would you be looking for help to deal with Amon?" |
