Drake gave Holland a warm smile as he took back his handkerchief, "You don't have to get so worked up, okay? I don't mind talking about it. I guess a lot of students seem to have these dark stories with their powers and all... but I'm pretty plain I guess..." Another lie. However, it wasn't that Drake wanted to lie to people. He had to consider both his own safety and the safety of those around him. It was really for the best.

"My powers revolve around cold and stuff," Drake continued eagerly, "Controlling ice. I suppose Cryomancer would be the proper term to use officially. See~" He added the final word with a playful tone as he touched his finger just to the edge of the tea within his cup. Within a few seconds the tea had frozen into solid ice.

"Nothing that special," he added with a laugh, "What about you?"

"Oh!" she exclaimed when he turned his tea to ice. "I...I don't think you can drink that now..." she giggled lightly, the redness of her face fading. She thought about how to explain her own power when he asked and all she could think about was the chess board. She became a little flourished again and glanced at the chess board.

"I...can't really show you my power..."she started. "It would be very boring for you...I'm....just a technomancer....I can see the inner workings of technology with my mind." she said flustered starting at the chess board. She wanted to touch it so bad. "I'm not going to be of any help in gym..."she managed to get out with a slight laugh to try and break the tension within herself.

"Well it's only one class," Drake remarked with a grin, "But a Technomancer, huh? That's pretty unique." However, suddenly it all clicked with him. Her initial fascination with the chess board. Yes, that was it exactly. Now everything made perfect sense. All the pieces had lined up in place and the truth was revealed.

"You can go ahead with the chess board, you know?" Drake added with a reassuring nod, "I won't mind if you use your powers on it at all." Drake hadn't cared originally when he only thought she wanted to play a game on it. This scenario was much more interesting and entertaining. His curiosity was getting the better of him.

"It might actually be rather interesting," Drake admitted with a bit of an embarrassed grin. He didn't want to flat out demand she use her powers, but he had to admit he was curious.

Holland blushed frantically. "I...I-I can't." she said holding her hands together by her chest. She really did want to...but not here. "I've never worked with anything like it before...I don't know how I will react to it...I don't know how my brain will react to it..." For the first time since she sat down with Drake, her voice became quite steady and serious. "When I fuze myself to an electronic, my mind becomes a part of that world...my body is basically dead...Usually when I work with something, I read about it extensively first. For me to jump in and work with something like this could mean the end to me. My mind would become trapped and there would be no way for me to leave..."

Holland was silent for a minute and then her mind jumped back into reality and she returned to her usual self. "Haa...but...I mean...I just won't touch it...No big deal...but...but...ahh...thank you for the offer." she said, her face flushed once again.

How cute, Drake thought to himself as he watched Holland blush and go into a nervous outburst about the situation. If it had been someone else, Drake might have vocalized this thought but he was pretty certain offering the compliment to Holland at this point and time would only make things worse for her.

"I see," Drake commented thoughtfully as he tapped a finger to his chin, "Well, don't worry that much about it; I was just trying to be friendly. Still, you have a very interesting power; I think. I would like to see it sometime." Technology was mostly still something new to Drake, but he had taken to it rather quickly and adapted. Still, someone with a power like Holland's seemed downright intriguing.

"You must be rather smart though," Drake added paying her a lighter compliment than his original thought, "Doing that much research before making use of your powers."

Holland smiled lightly, but she was still lightly flustered. "I guess...I...I-could...show you...sometime I guess..." she blushed even more. She had never offered to show anyone her powers...other than her father of course. Now that she thought about it...she had never really sat down and shown anyone her power before...I mean she had...but not directly.

The waitress came back to the table with a box of tea offering more. "Ah...certainly..." she smiled....But right as the waitress starting pouring her tea, another waitress came by and happened to bump her. With this....the waitress promptly poured a large amount of the tea all over Holland. "Ah!" Holland exclaimed.

The waitress was frantic. "Oh...I'm so sorry! Let me get you something else to put on!!!" In which she frantically grabbed Holland and pulled her away, with Holland looking back at Drake with a frantic, "help me".

After several minutes of being in the back, the waitress returned from around the corner, dragging Holland by the hand. "No...No I can't go out there looking like-" in which the waitress pulled her from the corner "-this."

Hollands face was flush in bright red. The waitress had changed her into a lavender maids costume. Full knee high socks and all. "I...I'm sorry!" she said to Drake and buried her face in her hands.

"That would be nice," Drake commented trying to reassure Holland. She really did seem like a rather nice person. Maybe, given some time, she might get a little less shy or something. Drake was about to continue the conversation, but it was in this moment that the waitress spilled the tea and all at once a giant fiasco began. As the waitress scrambled to fix things Drake tried to interject and calm the situation.

"Ah... I don't think that's the best idea, Miss," he tried to speak to the waitress, but before he knew it she had jerked Holland out of her seat and ushered her away and into the back of the cafe, "Hum.. oh well..." Letting out a soft sigh Drake took another sip of his tea as he kept his gaze on the area the maid had drug Holland off to. What was going on? Did they have something to clear clothes in the back?

However, the answer proved to be something far more traumatizing; for Holland anyways. As she emerged garbed in one of the cafe's uniforms Drake quickly realized the girl probably wasn't taking it very well. However, Drake couldn't deny that she looked good in it. Noting her blushing face all but confirmed his expectation for her reaction though; his own impressions would have to wait.

"Um," Drake began trying to take stock of the situation, "It'll be okay; the cafe isn't very crowded right now and it doesn't look like many people are paying attention. Plus, you look very cute as one of the cafe workers."

The waitress led Holland back to her seat and got Holland to sit down. "B-but my clothes! I can't leave here without my clothes....." Holland's eyes started tearing up but the waitress put her hand on her shoulder and, with a smile, said that Holland's clothes were in the wash and if she's just wait for about an hour, they'd be finished.

Holland whimpered a little and looked down at her half filled cup of tea. What was she doing? What fate could have possibly hated her so much to put her in the position "I-I'm so sorry..." she said looking up at Drake, her face bright red.

"Hey, it'll be okay," Drake reassured Holland leaning forward and trying to get her attention so she'd focus on something beside the embarrassing situation, "I'm sure they'll have your clothes cleaned really soon and then you can change back into them." Following this Drake nodded confirming his assessment of the situation.

"Look on the bright side," Drake added, "The food was good, right? And we met. So you when you're at the school you'll at least have one person that you know already." He hoped by steering her mind to something other than the problem at hand she might calm down a little. As it looked right now she seemed beet red and was entirely panicking. He wasn't quite sure what else to do for the matter. Was it really that big of a deal.

Holland glanced around at Drake's comments and twiddled her thumbs together. She nodded about them having her clothes in the wash and that she would get the back soon. They also brought her a larger-than-normal plate of snack cakes to make up for the incident. Holland immediately stuffed one in her mouth despite the image of getting fat from the snack cakes and tea. Her emotions were raging and she currently didn't care.

She looked at Drake after his comment of meeting him and all of this other stuff and she blushed and looked away. She made sure to swallow her snack cake and then spoke, "But...it's bad enough that...that y-you had to see me like this..." And then the thought of school crossed her mind and she turned to look at Drake. "Oh goodness! P-please don't bring this up to anyone.....I-I don't even know if we have any classes together or anything...but...I just...don't know what I'd do...." she blushed and looked away from him again.

"You really don't have to worry, okay?" Drake spoke in a reassuring tone paying no real mind to Holland's sudden aversion to chowing down on snack cakes, "I don't really have anyone to tell or any real reason to do so." Drake found it hard to reason just how upset Holland was over all of this. It was all just accidents beyond her control yet she seemed obsessed it was some form of social suicide. It just didn't make sense at all.

"Just think of it as our little secret or something," Drake added trying to wash out the thoughts of anyone else finding out or it becoming some huge rumor around campus. He supposed in the right situation something like that could occur and become some huge fiasco. However, Drake reasoned you'd have to be pretty heartless to do something like that to a person such as Holland. They were already far too sensitive to deal with something like that and personally he wouldn't stand for it.

Holland smiled lightly and then looked down at her plate of snack cakes. "Oh how rude of me!" she said picking up the plate and offering some to Drake. "Please...have some...I shouldn't eat so many..." she smiled. She sat the plate in the middle of the table and picked up her tea. "I'm sorry I'm so finicky." she blushed. "I-I'm not used to meeting new people...you know with...being home schooled and....a military daughter..."

Holland rubbed her finger against the edge of the cup lightly and smiled. "Tea is so relaxing..." she laughed a little. "Do you have a favorite flavor? M-Mine is chamomile but...it makes me sleepy so...I can't drink it except at night."

"Hah, thank you, don't feel bad at all over it," Drake smiled cheerfully as he took one of the snack cakes and bit into it as a grin worked across his face, "it's very good~" As Drake ate the snack cake he continued to grin being impressed with just how good it was. Cafe Mahou was certainly deserving of its reputation. Drake could clearly see why it was so popular among the students; and not just for its wide variety of maids and butlers.

"You don't have to worry," Drake reassured her, "I think you're a really nice person. Maybe with some time it will get easier for you. And if nothing else, you've already made one friend so it's not that bad right?" Maybe it was a little early to call them friends, but Drake had already taken a liking to her and wanted to at least make her feel welcome to the school and the city it resided in.

"Mm well," he continued as she asked about his favorite type of tea, "I'm really not sure. It's probably surprising, but tea is a pretty new thing for me. I have to say I like it quite a bit. Maybe you could teach me more about the different kinds one day~"
