To hell you're.

Tsubame merely throws Osiris a murderous glance when he said that they were just trying to get to know each other better. They clearly were trying to make out with each other. Had Tsubame not been home a bit earlier, they may even end up in bed already.

… In bed.

The poor girl couldn't help but to shake it off in her mind. The mere suggestion of that idea has already grossed her out so much that she doesn't even wanna dive further into the thought. Osiris? With Hana?

It'd be less upsetting if she knows that it will never happen, but she knows that it very well will, and it is annoying her to the core.

Seriously, whatever they do, don't do it in her room.

More like, whatever he does, don't do anything suggestive with her.

It is a very strange sense of woman possessiveness that takes over Tsubame right now. It could very well be the fact that she doesn't want Hana ever touching anything that affiliate with Tsubame herself. After all, she hates Hana's guts, and it is only natural that she wants to intervene with whatever last thing that Hana may be interested in pursuing. But it could also just be the fact that she finds Osiris to be in her territory, whatever it may mean, and Hana has no rights to trespass this.

A complicated feeling, indeed.

And there it is again, Osiris's playboy facade. Does he have to put it up whenever he is with someone other than herself and Yuri? That face of his also annoys her.

"So that's what it is~ I see~" The girl slowly walks into the room, with her mud-tainted shoulder bag in her hand, ignoring the two on the couch, and goes straight towards her own bed. She then proceeds to throw her bag down, ignoring the mumble that she hears from Hana when she passes by.

Clearly, while she hates Hana, Hana hosts a rather hostile feeling towards her, too.

"Sorry to disappoint, Hana-chii~ But I am not one of those people who loathes around all day, do nothing and knows nothing much beyond how to eat and go to the bathroom." Tsubame flashes one of those innocent smile at the two again, and notices that Hana listening to Osiris's statement, taking it as a signal of advancement, and proceeds to use her body language to respond.

There is a sudden itch within her heart, and a head-lightening feeling in her mind.

This woman.

She sure knows how to tick people off.

But then again, Tsubame is nowhere near losing her composure, yet. It is not like she really cares too much about what's going on, anyway. If Osiris likes to be that way, so be it. It's not like she has anything that she can do in regards to Osiris, anyway. As a person in debt to Osiris, she has no such privilege to tell Osiris to stop, nor does she have the obligation to monitor his social and love life.

If Osiris is dumb enough and willing enough to 'fall' for this woman, then so be it.

It's not like she cares anyway.

But it still irritates her.

Tsubame takes out from her bag, which is now poorly abandoned on the side of her working desk, her laptop, and proceeds to take out her headphones as well, plugs it into the computer, and starts the machine up.

"Now now, I won't be a nuisance, so feel free to use the room however you want~" Tsubame says again, in the sweetest voice that she can muster. She then proceeds to put her headphone on, and tries to ignore the two.

But this still bothers her, as to what the two are doing behind her.

UGH.

Osiris smiled and watched as Tsubame got increasingly frustrated. Now the problem of course was, he needed to talk to her, and yet he couldnt offend Hana by leaving her abruptly. He needed to handle this in the way that only an asshole playboy could do. Luckily enough, he was very good at pretending. As Tsubame left he turned towards Hana and put a hand on her waist he then leaned in real close.

His lips were so close they could brush hers as he whispered "Im sorry but I really do need to talk to her, sadly work before pleasure" His hand slid down her leg and he slowly pulled away not before kissing her cheek. He reached into his pocket an pulled out his business card with his address and phone number. He smiled at her as he placed the card in her lap "Let's continue our conversation when I'm not on Business."

He then stood up and turned around, really holding back the urge to roll his eyes. In some ways...he disgusted himself. He then walked into Tsubames room and closed the door behind him. He quietly walks up behind Tsubame and pulls off her headphones "Hey you, I came here to talk to you you bum" He lightly tossed her headphones onto her desk

One thing to know about Tsubame's head phones are that, once they are on, they are on tight, and they won't let a single bit of sound sip through them. Therefore, not one bit of the conversation between Osiris and Hana came through. Tsubame's eyes was kept glued onto the screen as her mouse continues to click on various programs to start them up, and music begins to play from within the sound-proof devices.

There is no explanation that Tsubame could come up with that explains as to why she is so irritated with Osiris. It could be the fact that she has put herself and Hana at the two ends of the world, where each of them will only be happy if one of them dies off or gives up. The fact that Osiris should be considered as Tsubame's "side" of people do not really help the case here. It is only normal for Tsubame to feel a bit betrayed, if this is the rationale that Tsubame wants to go about explaining this imploding irritation.

But that is still not enough of a reason for her to start throwing her temper this way. After all, one thing she does best is to act reserved, hide her true nature, and bury her feelings. She has done it so well before, too, that she wouldn't have spout any words about her feeling for her cousin until she was committed to a torture worse than death. This is actually a rare case, for Tsubame to actually throw a temper.

Therefore, when Osiris pulled her headphone off and talked to Tsubame, all he received in return, especially after the word "bum", was a deadly glare from the girl. She is really, really annoyed right now, as Osiris can probably tell.

"Huh~? I thought you were here for Hana-chii over there. Why'd you neglect such a nice partner~?" Still, her voice was cute and bubbly, with her undertone sarcasm and whatnot.

Tsubame knows very well what kind of a person Osiris Solomon is. He is, on the outer, a playboy, and that carries into some of his inner self, too. But this is annoying, still, to see him hitting on her enemy of a roommate.

… This is frustrating to say the least, in all various levels.

Very much relishing in the fact that Osiris chose to remain sitting beside her instead of going up to Tsubame to talk about whatever it was he came here to talk about, Hana was only to be bitterly disappointed as he left her with nothing but a business card and the uncertain feeling of being gently rejected. She sulked to herself as she sat alone on the couch, staring at the business card with a smidge of contempt.

Hana had interpreted this situation as Osiris choosing Tsubame over her. Despite his reasons (or excuses as Hana saw it) for leaving her, the fact was that he had left her. And this was not acceptable. Not at all. Slipping the business card into her pocket, the kunoichi decided to employ some of her concealment tactics to "overhear" their conversation.

Perhaps she will get a clue as to what their relationship really entailed.. Or maybe even some ammo to use against that banshee. She settled in the room next door to Tsubame's, keeping extremely quiet and paying full attention to her hearing. C'mon c'mon~ Spill something juicy~~ She picked up a book and opened it, procuring a front as to not look suspicious.

There was a part of Osiris that wanted to back down to Tsubame. A part that wanted to apologize, make amends, be nice and cheerful. That part of him was there. Osiris liked that part, but he hated it as well. It was a part he couldn't afford, and as much as he cared, he wasn't about to be guilted for his actions. That was not what he was here for. He was here on business. And so Tsubame's glare was met with one of his own, however it quickly slid into a smirk.

"Oh because my darling Tsu-chan I was oh so worried about you getting jealous of the lack of attention He said it smoothly, but there was a bite to the end of it. "Not that it's your place to be worrying, afterall you work for me, and are mine until you pay off your debt~"

He knelt down so they were at eye level their faces close together. "Besides, even if you did have some reason to be upset..you have no right to talk do you Tsu-chan?"

As if the fire of anger was not burning strong enough within Tsubame, when Osiris used that sing-songish tone of voice to call her his darling simply poured more oil over it. She actually had to crawl her nails into the center of her palm to stop herself from acting out of her character. After all, they BOTH know that this is nowhere near the truth.

She? Jealous? From his attention?

Nowhere in a million years.

She turns around, parts her lips, and was about to say something bitterly, before the second part of the sentence hits her ears.

That was a huge bucket of water poured right over her fire right there. As much as she would want to say something to rebuttal that, she was not able to find any words- after all, he is correct. She has no place to actually query what he does, or worry about anything.

What? Worrying? NO! That was not what she was thinking about! It was him who is putting strange and unreasonable thoughts into her! That is it! Just like what he always do!

She wanted to break out of her bubbly character really badly. She wanted to yell at Osiris, and even slap him for putting her in such a situation. For talking to him right now and getting reminded by him that she is in debt has brought her to think about J, and that is like salt poured onto an open wound. After all, whose fault does he think it is that she and J are having difficulty in even just talking!?

But then, when she looks beyond Osiris, she notices the missing figure of another person in the room. Her thoughts quickly retracted, and she takes a deep breathe in, quickly calming herself down a little.

It is odd that Hana hasn't throw a fit with Osiris dumping her behind like that. It is just not fitting, simply because, well, if anything, Tsubame'd think that Hana thinks in a rather similar way as she does, and if she had done something so intimate with a guy just to piss Hana off, only to have the guy walk off on her like that, Tsubame will probably not be able to stay so calm and silent, as if nothing has happened at all. She would at least have said something, or did some sort of body gestures. This is just too … abnormal, for her to act as if nothing happened.

Or, possibly, she has thrown a fit already, but with her headphones on, Tsubame merely didn't hear it.

Even still, she should play this game the safe way.

Instead of throwing a huge fit, all Tsubame proceeds to do, is to push her Tsu-chan style up a notch, and play the game in a passive-aggressive way.

"Tsu apologizes for her mistake, sir," A fake, scared smile appears on Tsubame's face, as she continues to sit, raises her head and looks at Osiris from the lower angle, so to assert his "superiority", and says in a very feared, hushed voice, "She's acted out of her place. Will you forgive her, Ma~st~er So~lo~mon~?" Purposely dragging out her name for Osiris, Tsubame fills the last phase up with nothing but sarcasm and bitterness.

She figures if she hush her voice enough, it wouldn't be possible for Hana to hear her, right? And, on top of that, given that she is expressing her sarcasm in such a manner, even a deaf would realize that Tsubame has no intention of really calling him her master, but simply to retaliate.

Well, it'd have been better if Hana is deaf. Then she'd have at least 3 times as little trouble as she does with her roommate right now.

Hana listened in carefully, being so careful as to not even make a breath if it meant catching every sentence that both fellow students let slip from their lips, as if each word were precious rubies that lost their lustre if so much as a speck of dirt were to touch it. For this rigorously trained shinobi, this was child's play. While their hushed voices filtered through her ears, certain words managed to engage with her brain. In reaction, Hana's head moves slightly upward.

Debt? Tsubame.. is in debt to Osiris? A devilish grin played upon her lips as she flirted with the idea. Could it be true? Ohoho, Tsubame-chan! I wonder what kind of bad things you have done to be in debt to Osiris? Hana took her lack of response as a silent confession, suppressing the sadistic laugh that threatened to burst out and blow her cover.

Her delight was suddenly dashed down by that unmistakable sickly sweet voice that she despised so much, hating with a burning passion. No matter how softly and quietly Tsubame spoke, Hana could practically feel that disgusting air about her before she spoke in such a way like it were sticky sweat clinging to her skin.

Why did she react in this way? Why?? Hana felt a strong urge to punish her for not feeling hurt or sad or angry or something negative! Why does she persist so much with that fake face of hers?! Hana's very heart desired to see Tsubame affected adversely. In tears was too much to ask for, although that would be like a dream come true. Hana was content with a vibrant display of fury or even just an honest, spiteful sentence. Anything that threw off her screwed up composure.

Osiris winced slightly. This was getting neither of them anywhere, and not only that...he hated to admit it but this was hurting him to do. Not just Tsubame's cruel mockery, at this point, what else could he expect? It would have been a foolish idea to expect that just because his view towards her had changed, that hers should change towards him. It made no sense to think in such a moronic hopeful fashion.

What hurt was that his feelings had changed, and yet HE was still acting in the same way. Even before he didnt want to hurt Tsubame, but now...now he just wanted her to maybe not despise him so much. Yet he had no way of keeping her around without that stupid "debt". This just made him the antagonist and proved to Tsubame how horrible of a person he is. He was getting increasingly angry.

He rose his hand as if to slap Tsubame and then his hand hit the desk and he backed off, his head hung slightly. He covered his eyes with his freehand. "Goddammit...why do you do this?" He looked at her his face contorted slightly in anger "What is even the point of it?" This was a question as much to himself as it was to Tsubame.

He stopped and composed himself, straightening his buttoned top. "We cant do this...it just makes it worse, these...fakes...playing around... He tapped his foot and was quiet for a moment before turning to Tsubame "...How would you feel about a game...your freedom on the line as a prize?"

And he brought his hand up in the air.

Tsubame's eyes widens apparently as she stares at his hand being raised. Is he really going to slap her? Is he merely threatening? Not even her mother has slapped her before!

she will not close her eyes. She cannot close her eyes. Closing her eyes means she is afraid of his threat, and, in turns, him. It means that she loses. Tsubame Hoshino never admits defeat.

If he has the guts, he can slap her. He just better be ready to bear the consequences. Is he up to it?

It was a stance of absolute defiance that Tsubame has put up, even though Osiris's look was scary in his own way. However, the moment of decision did not happen. Instead, the slap landed on the table. It made such a loud noise, that Tsubame couldn't help but to jump a little in her seat, and direct her glance at the poor table itself.

She then looks at Osiris again. It is a pained expression that he has on. One that, for some reason, overlapped with another person she holds as the most important person in herself, even higher than she herself. Jeremiah had a pained expression on Christmas. It was as if he had something to ask her, something to tell her, something to make her understand, and found it too painful for himself to simply open his mouth. Osiris's expression overlapped with Jeremiah's expression back then.

But why is this happening? Why does it somehow seem like, now, she is the antagonist here? She was the victim of the case! She did not even wanted to be in this situation in the first place. It was him that held onto a debt. It was him that made her join Zodiac. It was him that kept on pestering her beyond just Zodiac. It was all him.

Still, why does he look... so pained?

There was no point. Nothing has ever had a point. Everything has always been 0 and 1, and a game of survival. Nothing, in the end, has a point.

Did he not think the same way?

Every one is a fake. Herself included. The small games of playing around and faking, is simply a minigame session needed for the greater game of surviving in this world. How does it make things worse?

It is only natural. Everyone has a mask, a pretense on. the game of the world has always ever just been the competition of who gets to keep his mask on for the longest, while tearing apart all his opponent's masks off, pulling out from their body the most fragile weakness, and crushing it into bits and pieces of fragments under his feet.

This is all what survival is about.

Was it not correct?

And then, out of the blue, it was a game that Osiris has suggested, still with that same pained expression that J has, the same expression that Tsubame wants to run away from. It is not her fault!

The girl glance out from the room, and at the roommate of hers who does not seem to have any movement for whenever since she ahs taken her headset off. No, not yet. She cannot break her composure.

Not until this hell of a roommate is out of sight.

"... T-That sounds fine~ What is the condition~?" Slightly less caring, the girl continues the conversation with her cover, completely ignoring the pained expression that affected her so much in her speech. Her acting waivers a little at the beginning from the shock of both the expression and the suggestion that Osiris has brought up, but the same sweet voice quickly recovers its slickery as soon as the lips parted.

As much as Tsubame wishes to question, in her real voice, what Osiris actually has planned in her mind, there is nothing she can do if she has to keep up with her act- at least until Hana is gone- besides going along with the character preset of slightly less thoughtful, wise and more careless personality.

Even though she suspected this to be a trap, even though she could almost tell immediately that something is off with what Osiris is trying to accomplish, there is nothing she can really do, if there is a third person in the room.

The highly irritated young woman was so caught up in her own thoughts about Tsubame that it took her a few seconds to realize it had suddenly gotten really quiet. ..? What was happening? Hana couldn't see. Just as she thought about peering around the corner, a loud bang caused her to jump. It sounded like someone had slapped their hand on the table? Osiris' voice drifted into Hana's eager ears..

"Goddammit...why do you do this? What is even the point of it?"

The sly eavesdropper found herself nodding in agreement like a trained parrot. Exactly! That devil woman should listen to him! But.. What even was the reason why she acted like such a conceited bitch? She didn't know, but she also lacked the concern to even care. All she knew was they way she acted, not to mention how she loved to meddle within Hana's business with Seth, was something she really hated and it would be highly convenient if the woman just dropped this act and behaved like a normal person.

However, this was all too impossible to be a reality. But a girl can always dream..

"...How would you feel about a game...your freedom on the line as a prize?"

Her eyes widened. So he was giving her an opportunity to free herself of this debt, and from what she could gather, the only thing tying these two people together. While Tsubame had so easily accepted the offer, she could still feel something between them that was hidden. Romantic feelings, perhaps? But didn't Tsubame already have a boyfriend? Hana smirked. She couldn't imagine her oh-so-lovely roommate to be faithful anyway..

Well, whether or not she won her freedom from Osiris didn't really bother her.. But she really wanted to find out what was really going on between these two. It was something juicy, she just knew it.

Osiris didnt notice the hesitation he otherwise might have. Or more rather he was too focused on thinking this plan through that he couldnt assess it properly. He started pacing back and forth in the small space of Tsubames room before stopped he sat on her bed his head hanging before he ran his hand through his hair and looked up at her with a mischievous smile.

"The game is this, you say that everyone is fake, but I don't think you can even help it. I bet you couldn't stop hiding behind that facade if you wanted to." He folded his hands together "Try and prove me wrong, the bet is that neither of us can keep without descending into our fake selves for an entire week He pointed at her "That means no Tsu-chan...and" he pointed to himself "No playboy, for an entire week. A week of pure unadulterated honesty.

He let his hands slide down his legs and Looked Tsubame straight in the eye giving her a challenging expression of one who doubted the others ability "Not that I really think you CAN do it...but if you do, Im willing to give you your freedom, no more debt at all. What I want if I win though... He was silent before smiling again "Thats a secret~"

No, I have no clue what you are plotting. I am not going to just accept your game with a risk of increasing my debt, AND losing my life at the same time.

…. Is what she wanted to say.

It was, really, at the edge of her lips when she considered the proposal that Osiris has offered.

One thing that Osiris and everyone else may not notice, and Tsubame knew for a fact, is that she needed to keep this outer appearance of a character that is completely not her. She does not know how much enemy the house actually has out there, and how many of them are still out for blood. Growing up in a household where all hatred must be returned in the same way, if not ten times worse, she cannot think of any reason for one not to retaliate, especially since now the clan has completely fallen apart, and no longer has influence over anything. While she may have had her identity hidden in court cases and all, having been an intelligence collecting agent who was taught to use extreme measures right off the bat, Tsubame also understood completely how fragile the will and the mouth of a human being is, especially when money and life is in the line. All she could do, is to protect herself with a facade on top, that maybe people will think of her as another person that look similar, but not the same person.

It is easy to say that one can live without a facade, but not so much when the facade is one of the only reassurance that one can give oneself to actually try to strive and survive, especially in this town called Hyakuji. This is also the reason why she found people who acted for the sake of acting- people like her roommate- irritating. She found herself irritating, even. But for her to actually take that mask off herself out in the open to people she doesn't know?

Hah, don't even joke about it.

It is tempting, however, the offer of freedom. If she is free from Osiris and Zodiac once and for all, her relationship with J is probably going to be back to normal, right? And she won't have half as much things that she needs to hide from J anymore, nor does she have to worry about whatever the hell Osiris has decided to throw at her. In all seriousness, it seem to be a rather great challenge to take on, if it only means to take off her mask for a week. All she has to do is go into some sort of hiding, say, in the Zodiac headquarter or something.

If she avoid all causes that will force her to become Tsu-chan, it should all be fine, right?

Of course, that would mean vacating this room for a week, but that she can live with. She doesn't spend that much time in this room to begin with, and her plants has already long been moved to the elemancer tower.

But at least, for now, she needs to give an answer.

The girl tilts her head, and look passes Osiris again.

Darn it, that ***** of a roommate is still here. Can she leave already?

"… Eh~? Whatever you want if you win? Isn't that rather sly of you?" The girl forces herself to continue the act, even though it is starting to tire even her out. "Mhm, challenge heard. Though, whatever Solomon-san ever came up with has never been something predictable, and Tsu hates losing."

The girl stands up, and walks towards the door, signaling Osiris to leave, "Let me think about it, I guess. Though, for now, I have quite a few things to do, so it'd be best if Solomon-san can leave me alone~" The girl says, directing her voice towards Osiris, but also looking at Hana as she says such thing. It is rather obvious, by now, that Hana is listening. Who wouldn't have moved a single inch after this long time of a conversation? Besides, she did see, even slightly, when the girl was just nodding at part of their conversation.

It could be some sort of her oversensitivity, but she doesn't like this roommate, one bit. Nor is she planning to lose any sort of information out to this woman.

They just both need to leave her alone.

Osiris frowned and then let up his expression, resuming his normal calm demeanor. "Fine then, in addition you have my word that if I win it will be nothing furthering your debt, costing you money, or putting you in danger. So you can simply think it over He straightened out his clothes and headed to the door shutting it behind him so he couldnt see her anymore. She was making things difficult, as usual. But in all honesty what could he expect. She didnt trust him and hated him more than anything.

He turned to look over at Hana, smiling at her as he proceeded to the exit "Oh dear, hope you didn't hear anything too interesting" He needed to get out of here, the air of the room, the atmosphere, it was making him a little nauseous.
