"Next stop, Hyakuji. I repeat, next stop, Hyakuji"

Seated by herself in a seating area, Natasha slowly opened her eyes and directed her gaze beyond the window behind her, to where she could see the familiar town that she was returning to—Hyakuji. Although it hadn't been long, she had been temporarily pulled out by her parents for a short trip to Europe after their father had some small fortune with a holiday bonus in his paycheck. A short trip that, despite how quick it was, had made her feel as if she had been away from Hyakuji for an eternity.
Away from Kira.
Of course, Natasha was partially aware that her return also meant that there was the Twilight to worry about once again, as the nightmarish phenomena had not surfaced during her trip, but the issue to her was outspoken by her longing to see Kira again. She felt guilty from not contacting him as much as she had wanted to while she was gone, even if it was something she couldn't help from being almost consistently distracted. Her parents didn't know about her relationship, as they hadn't inquired about whether or not such a thing was existing, and so there wasn't much spare time given for communicating. But now that she was finally returning to Hyakuji...
Natasha placed one of her hands up against the glass as she kept the other on her luggage. With both excitement and nervousness slowly building up as the station drew closer, she silently wondered how her reunion with Kira would go.

"Maybe we should have stayed in Kaimu, Mari. I heard that someone was selling some nice scones over there!"
Santiago stretched his arms for a moment, despite being almost completely smothered in luggage bags from head to toe. Rather than containing clothes, however, the majority of the luggage present contained documents, photographs, and other articles of information that had been gathered for the duration of his stay.
What was supposed to have been a short investigation for the Argentine had evolved into a full-blown scavenger hunt for information for a variety of topics, two of which were highly prioritized—the person known as Sparrow and his/her relation to the Twilight, and Kestrel. And despite having dedicated more time on Kestrel than what he had originally tasked himself to look into, Santiago was contempt with what he had.
"Then again, all leads point back to Hyakuji." The Argentine grinned for a moment as he wondered how his work would pay off in the long run, then quietly chuckled.

Shortly after the train had came to a stop at the station, Natasha was greeted by a rush of cool air as she stepped off onto the platform. Her light blue winter jacket shielded most of her from the winter cold, as did her earmuffs and scarf, but she could still feel the coldness baring down on her face. Pulling along her only luggage bag, Natasha slowly made her way further into the station as she looked for Kira.

Kira was sitting on a bench in the station. He was glad Natasha was coming back today, he was still quite worried about everything that had gone on, but he was glad she was okay, and she even seemed like she enjoyed her trip. It was too bad that they couldn't spend Christmas together, but at least she was back now and they could spend time together.

As the train pulled into the station, Kira stood up so he could see Natasha as a few people exited the train and entered the station. Then rounding the corner he saw her, all bundled up for the cold with her bag behind her. Kira walked towards her, and as soon as she was within hearing distance at the busy station he simply said, "Welcome back Natasha." A smile beaming on his face.

It didn't take long for Natasha to finally notice Kira, who had by then started to walk towards her. After his greeting she drew closer to him so that she wouldn't be distracted by the oncoming and ongoing travelers and exhibited a reserved smile. It wasn't as expressive as Kira's own smile, but the accompanying blush on her face was perhaps a fair enough indicator of how she truly felt at the moment.
"I—I-I'm back," Natasha said as she looked up at him, feeling partially awkward and nervous yet joyful at the same time. She paused for a moment as she thought of what else to say to Kira, then, after she had drawn even more close, said, "E-e-even if it wasn't long...I—I couldn't stop thinking about you." By the time she had said it Natasha had adverted her gaze from Kira, having let her developing nervousness and embarrassment as dominant forces for the moment. Before letting them get the better of herself, however, she looked back up at Kira.

Kira couldn't help but smile, Natasha was the same as always. "I couldn't stop thinking about you either Natasha. I'm glad your back." He said, leaning in to put his arms around her, pulling her into a hug. "I hope you enjoyed yourself." He said into her ear. She had talked to him periodically while she was away over the phone, but it always seemed like it just wasn't long enough. He was eager to hear how her trip had been, what she had seen, and the fun she had.

Natasha released her grasp on her luggage and returned Kira's embracing hug with her own. Simply doing so was enough to soothe her mind, to eliminate the majority of her uneasy thoughts, which were replaced by a unique, comforting sense of security. That is, a sense of security that Natasha could only find from Kira. Her own parents were obviously comforting to be around, of course, but there was something more in Kira's case, a certain twist to it that she could only classify as a feeling of love.
It was this sort of feeling that Natasha had missed—a feeling that she could only be experienced with Kira.
"I—I tried my best," she replied quietly to Kira. "A-and I was able to see more new things...But...It—it wasn't the same as being here..."

"I'm glad you tried your best Natasha. As long as you enjoyed yourself, that's all that matters." Kira said, kissing her on the cheek lightly, "Shall we head back to the dorms? I'm sure your tired after your trip." He said letting go and backing up a little.

"Oh, um, s-sure," Natasha replied after she had regained her composure. She silently agreed with Kira; although she wasn't clearly exhibiting it, Natasha was indeed partially weary from her travels. After all, in addition to the crowded airports and delays she had to deal with there was also the fact that she had traveled mostly by herself for the duration of the train ride, as her parents had to at one point take a different route to get back to their jobs in time.
Natasha took hold of her luggage again, partially preparing herself to see Hyakuji High once again. It was more than likely that nothing significant had happened to the school itself during her leave of absence, but there were always the possibility of seeing new, unfamiliar faces.

Burdened with seemingly countless duffel bags, sea bags, purses, and other assorted goods that dealt with transporting items on almost every body part that could hold such things, Santiago walked out onto the platform with Maristol supposedly following him. From the view of observer, he appeared as if he was a creature composed of nothing but luggage, with only his sunglasses and partially uncovered face to denote him from a monster. With his leather jacket in addition to the payload of data that he was carrying, the Argentine barely noticed the frigidness of the cold, winter air.
"So, what are you going to do with all that stuff?" he heard Maristol curiously ask from behind. "Because I'm pretty sure that it won't be in my dorm~" "Of course I'm putting them in my own place, Mari!" Santiago replied with an unseen smile. "There's some stuff here that people shouldn't see, or at least shouldn't know of for now." Ironically he caught a glimpse of what seemed to be Natasha and Kira in the distance, though the constant flow of people was making it hard for him to be absolutely sure. "In that case, I'll just go back to my place." "<N—OPE! Your papa here has some pretty important stuff that needs to be sorted out!" Santiago took hold of Maristol's hand and dragged her off in a direction away from who he guessed were Natasha and Kira. If there was to be any time in the future to annoy and pester them, he would do so. For now, however, there was some important work that had to be done.
"We're going the wrong way." "Ha! This is a shortcut to the dorms, Mari!" "But we're going in the complete opposite direction from school!"

Kira grabbed her luggage with one hand, and her hand with his other. "Lets go." He said with a smile starting to walk with her back to the dorms. Walking through the station was a challenge but once clear, it was quite a nice walk.

Initially Natasha was slightly reluctant to let Kira trouble himself with her personal items, but as soon as he held her hand such feelings subsided just as fast as they had emerged. Instead she nodded her head after some hesitation, then followed Kira as he led her out from the station and out into the open.
At first Natasha didn't say anything, paying attention to only the pace of her walk and the warmth of Kira's hand. Eventually, however, she warmed up to the idea of sharing parts of her experiences of her recent travels, and it didn't take long for her to start recollecting details of certain areas encountered during the trip.
"W—we visited Venice, in Italy, a-and went to Spain and Switzerland as well," Natasha said to Kira as she indirectly looked over at him. "M-mom said she liked the trip and took pictures, but—dad said that it was also important to—watch how people acted..."

"Those places are all so cold this time of year. Did you go anywhere warmer?" Kira couldn't help but laugh a bit, "I'm sure the pictures are nice... I'll have to see them sometime if she sends you some." Kira suggested walking beside her. Kira became a bit confused at the next part though... Watching how people acted? Maybe she misheard him... or he meant it as something? It just seemed odd to Kira was all, but it was quickly drown out by her presence beside him.

"A-actually, I—I have one with me," Natasha replied before she started to fish around in one of her coat's pockets with her free hand. Eventually she found what she had been looking for, pulled out the only photograph she had from the trip at the moment and showed it to Kira despite feeling somewhat embarrassed.
big photo
"Dad—he's the one that took this picture, w-with his old camera." It was a seemingly plain, black and white photograph with just herself being featured in it, appearing to be preoccupied with a mug of hot tea. Natasha couldn't recall when her father had taken such a photograph, and couldn't even guess where since there wasn't anything remarkable in the background.

Kira just smiled looking at the picture, then looking back at her. "Its a nice picture. The black and while really make the picture look nice." Kira commented. The picture made her look so cute... Kira still wished they couldn't have spent the holidays together, but he figured now it was time to make up for lost time.

At Kira's remarks Natasha blushed with a small smile. She pulled back the photograph and looked at it for a moment, recalling that she had missed spending time with Kira on Christmas. That to her also meant that she hadn't been able to give him a gift, something she believed that she would have done if she had remained in Hyakuji.
Without so much as another thought Natasha held over the photograph to Kira, only this time as a gesture for him to take it. "Um, h-here," Natasha said. "I-I want to give this to you——as—as a gift from me." She was sure that there would be many more photographs to come, and that her father would possibly understand the situation if he had witnessed it.

Kira took the picture and just looked at it for a moment. "Thank you Natasha." He said simply. He planned to frame the picture, but he wouldn't tell her... It would just embarrass her. "I'll stop my dorm on our way to yours to pick up your gift. I didn't think to bring it with me." He said carefully pocketing the picture and taking her hand in his again.

Natasha remained silent once again, though she couldn't help but wonder what sort of gift Kira had in store for her. She looked on at the snow that was present in some areas, such as on the sidewalk or perched up in the branches of a tree. It was similar in appearance to what she had seen during her travels, though the snow in Hyakuji had a different vibe to it, a feeling that she couldn't place her finger on and determine it.
The thought of Hyakuji brought Natasha to wonder how Kira had been fairing within the town. It was, after all, a potentially dangerous place at times.
"H-how have you been here?" she asked out of curiosity and concern, even if to her it seemed to be similar to a probing question.
