The train slowly began to pull away from the platform as the last of its passengers exited. As the crowd dispersed and made its way for the exits, two figures were left to wander slowly away from the train platform, chatting amongst themselves with two large bags of luggage floating behind them.

"I'm just saying that you may need to apologise to the priciple for having been gone so long, even if the school was made aware that you'd be coming with me overseas. I mean after all you've kinda missed all your periods for today, haven't you?"

"Aw it won't be so bad. I'll get right back to work once today is over, I've gotta have some time to recover from jetlag you know~ Even more so, considering I'm carring the bags." Cerium motioned her thumb over her shoulder and indicated to the two bags floating behind herself and Nickle, both of which seemed to have metal bands around them, thus allowing Cerium to use her powers as oppossed to each of them carrying them by hand.

Nickle scoffed and shoved his cousin lightly, "You're barely even tired, for half the train ride from the airport you were poking and prodding me and telling me to look at what everyone was doing in the carriage. Sure some of it was funny, but I was tired after the whole fiasco at the airport. Every damn sensor went off....." The electromancer's head down now slightly as he let out a great sigh. "Next time I'm using Doomtrain to get us over to America."

Cerium giggled, "Well at least Aunty was happy to see us~ It was nice meeting her for the first time too. You really should call her more often, she is living alone now that Uncle died, even if you are sending her money to support her." Cerium had rare moments of total clairvoyance, but when she did they were usually a bullseye. Nickle looked back at his cousin and nodded, "I know. I was wanting her to come back with us, but she wouldn't have it. At least she was happy to hear about Chizu." Nickle grinned broadly. He'd have to have his mom and Chizu meet sometime, that would be a very interesting experience.

With all the chatting going on between the two Ryukos, they hadn't even realized they'd reached the station garage counter, to which Nickle pulled out a ticket and slid it under the counter window, "I believe you have something stored for me?" The man behind the counter nodded and handed Nickle a set of keys under the window and a nearby garage door began to open up.

"Its in storage space number 5 sir." A statement to which Nickle nodded in thanks before heading into the garage and retrieving one of his most prized possessions, Kinclex's motorcycle. He rolled it out and towards the exit ramp that lead to the street, Cerium following in tow. "Aren't you glad you have me to carry these things~ Otherwise we'd have never made it here on time when departing~"

"Of course I'm thankful," said Nickle as the sunshine outside washed over himself and Cerium, "Now get on so we can get going."

"Hai~"

With the twist of the key, the engine stuttered out of its slumber, before roaring to life as Nickle twisted the throttle. After checking that Cerium was balancing the bags behind them on the bike with her powers and that both of them had their helmets on, he revved the throttle twice more before taking off and down the street.

The Ryukos were home again.

In the meantime, somewhere else on the surprisingly not-busy street of Hyakuji. Standing there waiting for the pedestrian light to go green a boy was on his phone, worriedly talking to a certain green and white dressed girl on the other side.

"Youma, are you sure you can handle making lunch on your own...?"

"Will you quit worrying already, of course I can! Even Selene's here with me!" Came the voice of an irritated girl from the headpiece repeating the same sentence for about the sixth time in this single phone call session.

"Well I can't help it, last time you blew up the coffee maker. Again," The boy said, noting the pedestrian light turning green as he started to cross the road. Not that he needed to hurry, there's no vehicles waiting for him anyway.

"That was yesterday, this is today. I'm sure I can handle this well--"

BOOM.

"WAH! IT-IT-THE POT EXPLODED! SE-SELENE!!! HELP--beep,"

The little explosion prompted him to stop on his track in surprise. Well. Can't say he didn't expect that to happen, girl can't even tell left from right. Seth gave a sigh, slipping the phone back in his pocket for the seventh time, apparently oblivious to the danger revving his way in about 3... 2... 1...

Nickle was whizzing in and out of traffic, Cerium's arm wrapped around his waist. She giggled and shouted over the wind for him to hear, "You're in a big hurry!" to which Nickle simply responded by shouting back over his shoulder, "I want to unpack and meet up with Chizu! I've missed her you kn-OH SHIT!" Nickle hit the brakes on the bike, having to bring it into a slide to avoid the boy who was walking in the middle of one of the less crowded streets.

Was that Seth-san?
That's Seth-kun!

The bike slid out from under Nickle and Cerium, stopping jsut short of a car thanks to Cerium grabbing hold of it with her powers, while her and Nickle took a rather nasty tumble on the asfault, several parts of their clothes tearing in the process and scratches being gained by all. The two came to a hault, thankfully with no broken bones, but definately a big ACHE everywhere.

...Well. Looks like he managed to avert the Iron Buttmonkey trope. For today at least. There's no avoiding the shock and horror of nearly being crashed and flattened by a bike though. Oi, what the hell was that?! Watch where you're going!!! Na, there's no point yelling at the outside world in his head, no one's gonna be able to hear it save for Seth himself. And it really was what Seth himself wanted to say, until he noticed whom they were. "S-sensei?! Nickle!" Yersh, he's not particularly strict on honorifics, isn't he?

And as usual, blaming himself instead of anyone or anything else comes next from the boy, quickly making his way towards the two to make sure they were alright. Or at least... hadn't suffered from anything terrible or life-threatening. "Hauuu... I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I've been spacing out, I'm really sorry!" The boy repeated relentlessly, bowing down apologetically as he helped the two of them up to their feet.

"Erg...."
"Ittaaaaaaaiii......"

The two Ryukos were slowly picking themselves up, at least up enough so that they were sitting and rubbing various parts of of themselves that had been battered and bruised. Nickle looked around, seeing his bike had been saved from crashing too terribly, courtesy of his cousin. The bike and the bags had been pushed safely to the side of the road. He looked over to Cerium, watching her wincing at some of the scratches she had gathered. The two of them looked up when they heard a familiar voice, more familiar to Cerium than to Nickle.

The two spotted Seth, apologising profusely, as he approached them. Nickle managed to bear a grin, "It's not your fault, I was so eager to get home I was gunning the throttle a bit more than I should have." The two cousins slowly pulled themselves up, with Cerium going over to Seth and holding his face, then his arm, then spinning him around to look at his back, "You didn't get hurt anywhere Seth-kun? You seem fine." Cerium wouldn't be the schools gym teacher if she wasn't able to take a few hits, granted those hits weren't normally a motorcycle crash, but still.

Nickle then approached Seth and Cerium, "He looks alright Ceri. I'm just feeling like a complete tool for nearly slamming into you back there." The guilt wasn't just written on Nickle's face, it was his face at the moment. "Is there anything I can do to make it up to you Seth-kun?"

No, he doesn't care whether or not they're strong enough to survive that, coming up with just a few cuts and bruises. It was as though something that had long since been locked away since he came to Hyakuji, since he left his family to come here had broken out. Back then it's reserved only for his little sister whenever she gets into trouble, but at this point his overprotective brotherly instinct didn't care that he was talking to someone two to five years older than himself. "Stop, worrying about me! What about you two?" The boy turned around on the spot, as he instead went to examine Cerium for any lasting injury until he was satisfied before he stomped his way towards Nickle. "If we're gonna talk about compensation or anything at least make sure both parties are safe and sound first!"

...He really sounded genuinely concerned about the two whom had almost crashed into him. Anyone else would have spouted expletives and swears and demanding stuff instead of making sure the one who nearly crashed into them were safe. There was no hesitation in his action as he examined Nickle for anything broken or lost, stern and angry yet not hostile muttering continuously coming out from under his breath.

"Well... now that we know we're BOTH fine..." The boy said finally, stepping back slightly as he scratched his head, wondering what to make of Nickle's offer to repay for his slip-up. He's really not the kind to ask for anything if something bad happened his way. "Uh... I dunno... leave it at that?"

Nickle and Cerium were genuinely surprised by Seth's reaction. They looked at each other momentarily while he was inspecting them, just out of sheer confusion. Nickle personally had never met anyone who so readily acted in such a way to make sure everyone else was fine aside from himself. He'd grown up in the past few years with the Hyakuji mentallity that unless someone was mortally wounded, that they were fine to handle themselves.

Cerium found it admirable. That this young man could become agitated in a justified way. He selflessly did not scream at either at them for nearly running him over, but was just as concerned about them as they were about him in the entire affair. Th Ryukos simply remained still and quiet as he examined them both, lifting arms, examining wounds and checking to make sure everything was in order.

When he was done, he spoke about leaving it at that and letting bygones be bygones. However, that was something Nickle simply could not stand. He looked at Seth and shook his head, "No way. Seeing as we came out of this whole thing relatively unscathed, I still owe you for being such a good sport about it all." If Seth had screamed and demanded compensation, Nickle would have given it, however he would have made a mental reservation about the boy, however now he was truely wanting to reward Seth for his attitude.

Cerium went a put a hand on her cousin's shoulder, causing a slightly hiss noise of mild pain to eminate from Nickle, "Ni-kun, I'm going to take the bike and stuff home. Make sure you repay Seth-kun properly, ok?" Cerium smiled sweetly and then looked at Seth, "I'll see you at school tomorrow Seth-kun~" Nickle pulled the keys for the bike from his pocket, handing them to Cerium and watching her head towards the bike before turning his attention to Seth.

"Alright, you and me are going to take a little walk." said Nickle with a soft smile. He wasn't going to let Seth go unthanked.

Okay, he had been insistent, but apparently Nickle here was more insistent than he is. Which kind of put him in a limbo on whether or not to take his offer. Seeing as how he had been so defiant on taking it just now, he can't suddenly take him up on it in less than two seconds. That would sound quite uh... hypocritical of him.

So he was left with no choice but to let himself be steered away from Nickle to... wherever he's taking him, all the while trying to think of a way to get himself out of this. But then again, refusing something like this after being offered with such insistence sounded a bit rude too...

Gah. Limbo. Indecision. He hated it when he has to make a choice.

Nickle was in fact quite literally steering Seth as it were, in order to get his way and pay the young man back for his strength of character. He had his one hand on Seth's back was gently pushing and steering him down the street. "Seth-kun, I've been out of the loop with student life at Hyakuji for quite some time. I hear bits and pieces about it from Cerium, but even then that's hardly knowing people and what's going on."

Nickle wasn't about to divulge what he had in mind for Seth, but he figured that at least he could talk to the young man and get to know him a little better. He'd met him only once after picking Cerium up from their little excursion, but now he wanted to get to know him a bit more. Anyone who Cerium seemed to take a shine to like that was worth looking into. His cousin played easily with anyone, in all sense of the word, but she'd seemed a little less devil may care after that day at the amusement park.

"Tell me a little bit about yourself. How old are you? Where'd you transfer from? Stuff like that." It was the usual song and dance here when meeting new people in Hyakuji, but that didn't mean one should glance over it.

"Uh... well," Okay so that may have been something of a general knowledge for everyone to know, but to be asked to spill everything in one go like that was a bit awkward for the boy. ...Well, okay to be honest he never actually even bothered to share that kind of information with everyone so... yeah. "I uh... I'm turning eighteen this year... transferred from the Yozakura High School last two years, I think... and um..." And on and on he went explaining his own general information without really bothering to go into detail. Hails from a small town close to the coast of Japan the boy comes from a fairly normal family of four, having decided to transfer here due to a special... condition, that granted him his powers. He went on and on, starting off feeling a bit hesitant but soon enough grew comfortable to speak without a stutter.

"...so yeah, I've been working as Selene's butler since then and... wait, where are we going anyway?"

Nickle was listening, taking in all that Seth said and finding his life to be good for the most part, aside from the fact that he had to transfer here from a place he'd grown up in due to suddenly gaining powers. Nickle had met people in a similar position to Seth, gaining or developing powers later on in life. It hadn't been like that for him, having had his powers within him since birth, but only truely awakening them as a toddler.
However, Seth seemed to be adapting relatively well to Hyakuij. Nickle was about to commend him on finding his place here quickly until he mentioned he was Selene's butler.

"Wait. What!? Selene? As in Selene Frostfire? You're her butler?" Nickle's face was becoming a grand show of perflexity and confusion. "How exactly did that happen?" asked Nickle playing with the back of his hair slightly, a clear tick he had whenever he was thinking or confused. When Seth asked where Nickle was taking him, the young electromancer grinned slightly.

"Well Ceri-chan took the bike home, but I know a short-cut or two to get to where we're going." Nickle turned down a less busy road, one where there wasn't any vehicles and only an odd person walking or riding a bicycle came down.

"I'm gonna show you my home." he said with a grin.
