Meglumar entered the ring, Keyblade in hand. He was apparently bumped up to the major league, something that left him slightly worried. Well, the end result never mattered really. He would fight as hard as he could either way. He took a deep breath, readying himself. He had no idea what his opponent was like when it came to combat, but it didn't matter really. He had the same basic strategy no matter the enemy: Smack with giant key. Occasionally throw fireball and reflect projectiles. He'd just have to fight as hard as he could and hope that was enough. If it wasn't, oh well. "Good luck to you." The swordsman said to his opponent, readying himself and gripping his keyblade with both hands. |

Hajime entered the ring next, eying amiably with an apologetic nod at his selected opponent of the first match he's in while waving his hands and pressing the buttons on either side of his belt before assuming his imposing black and gold Agito Ground Form. The ground beneath him seems to infuse him with strength and confidence for this fight, and from the looks of it, he might need it as he was basically going up against someone he knows. “Ah, right. Same goes to you.” Hajime replied back the goodwill greeting Meglumar shot at him evenly, bowing even, before him. At once, Hajime lowers himself into a stance with one arm forward at the ready and one near his side… |

Awww man he was fighting a Rider. Meglumar had heard how tough the one who won last year was. He had a feeling he was really going to need to put forth a lot of effort here. At least he didn't have to worry about killing him, since he had armor on. Still, he didn't want to get up close right away. He didn't seem to have any ranged weapons, so he could maybe get the drop on him with range. Meglumar removed his left hand from his keyblade, keeping his grasp on it strong with his right, before pointing his now free hand out flat towards Agito, focusing before a sphere formed in his hand and fired straight at him. This was his most offensive spell, the Pyroblast. It only had 3 uses but what it lacked in usage it made up for in raw power. Even if it missed, the ensuing explosion of magical fire might just get the rider. If the rider closed in, then, well, he had his keyblade. This was going to come down to Melee combat eventually. He knew that. He just wanted to get some sort of drop on his opponent. Power Usage: 1/15 |

Hajime waited patiently for Meglumar to launch his attack first, as somehow, he felt that it was only fair and right to do so whilst also gauging his strength so Hajime can decide how best to defeat him with as efficiently as possible. When Meglumar lowers his Keyblade and reaches out to him with his now free left hand, Hajime immediately tensed, seeing that a large ball of fire formed at the palm of his hand. Surprised, and somewhat shocked at first as he realized that he was going up against an opponent who wouldn’t mind attacking him from a range which was his one lacking when compared to the multi-talented Kouta-sempai, Hajime jumped to left too late when the fireball was already almost upon him. The searing heat he felt when the fireball went passed him lulled him slightly even more into inaction thinking that was it, and he didn’t get far out of the way either because of it when the fireball exploded when it hit the ground where he was earlier and covered him entirely in a wall of flame that covered and hid him from view. Only his scream was heard over the crackling of superhot fire. “That burns!” Hajime screamed audible from inside. Then, the screamed was replaced with a roar, and Hajime jumps out of the fire but still covered in flames and hiding his features somewhat. But what a careful observant might notice was that he was no longer in his black and gold Ground Form but now in the red and gold Flame Form, pulling the Flame Saber from his belt’s jeweled buckle and attempting to do an overhead slash with it on Meglumar in retaliation for the fireball attack, just as the flames that covered him slowly died out from the rushing air that passed by him as he ran.

Meglumar's eyes widened as the Rider rushed through the flames, OBVIOUSLY angry over being turned into a human torch. Meglumar saw the summoned blade and the incoming overheadslash, raising up his blade and holding it up as his left hand grabbed at it's 'dull' side ((Well, the least dull part of what a keyblade CAN have)) to try and block the blow, before suddenly just outright BUCKLING from the might of the Rider's downward slash. GOOD LORD. What kind of insane strength did this guy HAVE?! He almost felt like his right wrist was going to snap when he felt the sheer impact of the blow. Blocking? NOT smart. No way. Not against this guy. Meglumar was more of a defender than a dodger, but that would just end up with him being worn down into nothing. He needed to dodge and stay on the offensive. If the rider felt the heat of the fire, he wasn't invincible. He was strong, but not invincible. The half-nymph moved in a bit closer and raised up his knee quickly and violently, trying to strike his opponent in the midsection as to knock him off balance or SOMETHING. |

With the fire that surrounded him earlier finally died, all that’s left of Meglumar’s fireball attack on Hajime was the rising wispy smoke on his carapace armor where part of him was burned slightly. The thought never crossed Hajime whether his smoking visage would mentally affect Meglumar. Even if he did, he wouldn’t counted on it to work and defeat his opponent that easily as in his mind, this was a contest of strength, and he was definitely not going to lose out in that. Still, as the searing heat he was subjected to finally began to cool around him and also his mind, he didn’t count on his opponent to close in even closer and knee him squarely in the gut which he had left open, so intent was he on just pushing him down into submission. At once, Hajime broke the lock and was forced to take a few steps back and catch his breath as that move nearly knocked it all out of him. In retaliation, Hajime steps forward while grabbing hold of his Flame Saber with both his hand before bringing it up in an upward diagonal slash from left to right and following it up with a horizontal slash from the right to the left.

Meglumar took a few steps back as his hit connected and forced the rider back, but only for a moment. Now wielding his blade in two hands, the rider moved forward on the offensive again. Meglumar was able to sidestep the first attack, the blade so close that he could hear the wind being cut. The second one, not so much, though. Meglumar, seeing the second slash coming, knew there was only one response: He was going to have to block. And block he did. Holding his blade upright and bracing it once again with his left hand over the duller part of the blade, he attempted to stop the blow, and succeeded. However, he felt a sickening about on pain in his right wrist. It almost felt like it was going to break. He almost fell to one knee, buckling slightly under the force of the blow. An audible gasp of pain was heard as the Half Nymph tried to back away, the blade sliding off of his keyblade as he did so. He couldn't rest. He had to keep this up. Meglumar released his grip on his keyblade and tossed it to his left hand, shaking out his right. He wasn't as proficient with his left hand with the blade, but his right needed a break or something. Wait. Bad choice of words. It needed a rest to AVOID a break. And since he wasn't ambidextrous, he was just going to have to deal with it. Still, he had to keep some pressure going on. If he just stood there, he was just going to be attacked over and over again, and worn down. He took two steps forward and responded with his own diagonal slash towards Agito, this one going downwards, left to right. Power Uses: 1.5/15 |

Hajime had to applaud Meglumar for being able to block his attacks in time, though judging by how pained the half-nymph look and the way he was dragging his keyblade away when he pulled back, he might not be able to keep that up for long, which was probably both a good and a bad thing. Still, even if Hajime was in this to win, he kept his compassion for his opponent in check so as to not immediately over power him and accidentally hurt his opponent in more ways than just physically. When Meglumar comes at him again with his keyblade, Hajime raises his Flame Saber up the opposite way to parry it away, and with the new opening he would make with it, he extends a palm forward with his free left hand to give Meglumar a hard shove back.

One parry and a shove later, Meglumar stumbled backwards, stumbling as he did so before landing on his back due to the imbalance. He'd left himself wide open. What he would not give for a second weapon right now, then maybe he'd have a better chance. But he didn't so he'd have to make due. And right now a distraction was needed to he could back to his feet. Aiming his right hand at Agito again, he fired off another Pyroblast at his enemy, not even caring if it hit or not. This was just to give him time. He quickly tried to get up to his feet, regardless if the spell hit or not. He wasn't going to let himself go down without a proper fight, dammit. Power Use: 2.5/15 |

The fight was starting to pick up its pace now, as Hajime charges after Meglumar after having shoved him back to put him into a submission. But little did he know, Meglumar wasn't going to go down that easily for him, as show when he launches another of his accursed fireball at him. As he was already in a forward momentum straight into the line of fire with no chance to dodge around it, Hajime instead lifted his Flame Saber and made a vertical slash at it, hoping to do something Of course, the searing heat was still as hellishly hot as ever but his armored form protected him from the worst of injuries. After having experienced the first one earlier, Hajime just cringed and ran forward out of the fireball but considerably slower this time as the heat sapped much of his strength as it is in just trying to fight it. When he was upon Meglumar again, he made another horizontal slash with his Flame Saber from left to right, except this time, he spun in place as he did so so that after the first slash, another one from the same direction would follow.

Awww crap As soon as Meglumar was up he was nearly knocked down again, the sideways slash colliding with him and causing him to spin away, surprisingly without any blood. It appeared Hajime had been kind enough to not bring out a true blade, so he wasn't aiming to kill. Still, it hurt like crazy. Especially when the follow up slash came in, knocking the wind right out of him. Stumbling back further, he tossed the blade into his right hand as he placed his left hand over the two spots where the attack had hit. It felt burned, and was going to leave one NASTY bruise. Still, better than having his kidneys spilling out. He needed to get an actual sword hit in, right now. Dashing headlong at the rider, he feinted a diagonal slash down, before swinging the keyblade in a circle to build up momentum, before bringing down as a vertical slash aimed right at the Rider's left shoulder, swinging it down as heavily as he could. He may not have had the might that he had, but he was still pretty damn strong 3/15 |

Recovering from his spinning slash, Hajime found himself looking at Meglumar who was now closing in on him with a dash, the speed of which left Hajime too surprised and confused to take action against besides making audible "Eh?" As such, he raised his Flame Saber too late to protect himself against the ensuing keyblade slash on his shoulder which brought him down on one knee. His senses was telling that it hurts, but it wasn’t enough to leave a long last injury or any since the shoulder pauldron was separate of his own body. But the fact that he can still feel it through that was enough to consider Meglumar as a viable force to be reckoned with. Almost immediately, Hajime turned to deliver a sweeping kick at Meglumar’s legs to bring him down, before following it up with an overhead slash on top of him…

The Half Nymph was surprised by the spinning slide kick, being dropped down once again with a thud. And then came down an overhead swing. God...dammit this was going to hurt. Meglumar once again went for the block, the blade barely taking the blow as he was just holding it off of his neck. To make matters worse it almost sounded like there was a slight cracking sound after that block, coming from the poor guy's wrist. There was a good point to this. It may have been hard to see but it was there. The rider was still on one knee. "You'e....very...good." The swordsman grunted out as he tried to keep the blade from coming any closer, as well as trying to ignore the stabbing pain from his wrist. He had to say, even if he was losing? He really did like this battle more than the first match last year. Meglumar tried to angle the blade away, so that should the blade disappear, it would end up stabbing into the ground. Why? Because as soon as it was angled as such, his Keyblade vanished, reappearing in his left hand. With the Rider now hopefully open, the Half Nymph struck out, using his remaining good hand to make a quick slash right at the Rider's right side. [Power use: 5/15. Claiming the One Free Autohit per fight Meg gets via his sword skills, as well as the Keyblade vanishing/appearing.] |

"You're not bad yourself." Hajime praised Meglumar in return, glad that he was at least putting up a good fight throughout all this even if barely. He was afraid that he wasn't going to get much out of this but that was proven slightly wrong eventually. Little did he know however, this fight had only just began. Hajime was taken slightly aback yet again with another strange move, this time of stabbing the keyblade into the ground which seems to Hajime indicated that he was surrendering finally. Boy was he in a world of hurt when the keyblade vanished and reappeared again in another hand, striking him hard in the right abdomen. Unlike the separate armor piece of his shoulder pauldron, the pain he felt on his actual body there was more painful, eliciting a pained gasp as the move and hit caught him by surprise and outright pain. As a counter, Hajime swung out his Flame Saber again at Meglumar while spinning in place. While he has his back to Meglumar, he quietly pulls out another Flame Saber from the Alter Ring, and would come about with it ready for another follow up slash after the first.
