Like one little immovable barrier was enough to take Spike down. He punched giant robots and took on Brick walls head first. That wasn't to say he'd 'won' in either of those cases... But regardless he wasn't out for the count by any stretch of the imagination. Not to say his legs weren't throbbing. "kehh...." As he crashed to the ground Spike moved to his feet deliberately. "Why don't you shoo-" Spike's cocky comment didn't finish as his opponent let loose another stream of shots. Was this... the end? But for the daring rescue by the motorcycle it may have been. The bike, which had moved with terrrifying speed hit Spike dead on. Spike's body kicked of the ground and rolled to a halt a few meters out of the way. The bike meanwhile had taken a number of shots and had clearly visible holes across the rear half of it. It also wasn't moving, though the engine could still be heard so it probably wasn't dead. Spike rose to his feet. "IDIOT! ASSHOLE!" Lucy might not realize it, but he wasn't talking to her. Okay, Spike had made his decision. He'd been shot before, though not with a machine gun... or such large bullets... Fuck it! Spike charged full throttle, spinning the chain in his left hand. If she shot him he'd keep going. If he was still conscious and alive he'd keep fighting. Spike threw a punch with his right as he closed the distance. At the same time he whipped the chain in to hit her from the side. He assumed she would block, but he intended to attack relentlessly. Power Use 2.5/10 Edited by Kaloo, Jan 13 2012, 12:43 AM.

"Just so you know, I'm still holding back. I have an anti-tank weapon with explosive shells in reserve, so you really don't want to push me." As Spike charged head-long at her, Lucy sighed... There really was no helping some people... Since her barrier was only mono-directional, Lucy couldn't block against two attacks at once using it... Okay, fine. She needed to avoid the chain somehow anyway... Diving to the side with a powerful leap, narrowly avoiding the chain's metal links at the same time, Lucy rolled to her feet and simply held down the trigger of the Browning. Most people would fire in bursts, even when on a vehicle's pintle-mount, for ammo conservation, and recoil control... Since the burst would throw off an aim pretty badly... Unless you happened to be Lucy Mireille Chulainn, Captain of the Liberion Airforce and the 509th JMSW... To her, the recoil was no more than that of a derringer. And since the ammo came from her magic, there was no worries about the need to conserve it. In fact, because the match's time limit and forced-powers-limitation was almost upon them, Lucy figured it was better to just blaze away with the incredibly high rate of fire the Browning had compared to her larger manual-firing Anti-Tank gun. |

She underestimated Spike is she thought something like a magical machine gun or the threat of a magic anti-tank rifle would get to him. She dived away, then he would dive towards her. While he dived he wrapped the chain around his forearm, making a conscious decision. He would sacrifice his left. The chain would help, a bit, but at the end of it he wouldn't be using his left. As he moved the bullets laid into him, he used his arm to take the blunt of the blow, but of course that didn't work. Blood ran across his chest, and his left arm was a mess. He'd made his way in though, and his ruined arm was grabbing at the barrel none the less. Once he grabbed it, he was clear. He wouldn't be shot any more. "Then how about you bring out your big gun!" As Spike pulled off something that was in fact, nothing short of a miracle, by running THROUGH the fulisade of bullets, to grab her gun's barrel in his ruined arm. "Unfortunately for you, it doesn't look like you can take it. However, if you really want to become red sauce and jelly, I'll be more than happy to oblige you!" Letting go of the Browning and dissolving it (not that Spike taking it from her would have done much, she could have just made a new one anyway), Lucy lept back by about three dozen metres with her enhanced strength, owing that the gun she was summoning was four metres long, and used explosives shells. In fact, it was less "gun", and more "Field piece", given the full name for the weapon was "Ordnance QF 17pdr Anti-Tank Gun". Like the M2HB, it was a WWII-era weapon, used on the British-custom variant of the M4 Sherman, the Sherman Firefly. Of course, to compensate for the one-ton weight of the gun, Lucy had to summon her Land Striker (taking off and flying would take too long). The Land Striker, contrary to the Propeller Striker, looked derived from the M4 Sherman tank, but other than that, had a similar effect and activation of the giant magical circle (roughly the size of a football field). "You wanted it, so eat it!" Firing the explosive magical shell, Lucy lifted the bolt and racked the slide back to chamber a fresh shot, and then slammed it forwards and into the "locked" position, before letting that shot fly too. Unlike the relatively "light" (all things considered that is) damage of the M2's shots, being caught in the edge of the blast was much more serious. Being hit directly? That was asking for a coin toss from the reaper. Either way, this fight was going to end in the next few moments. ~~~ To clarify, since Lucy's used her powers thoughout the match, this is 9/10, and from what I understand, we have one post each left before the end of the match. |

Spike watched with a grin. He really was the strongest. He'd forced his opponent to bring out her biggest weapon. At least the biggest one she'd admitted to having so far. "Looks like I managed to make you bring out your big gun." He wasn't sure if it was worth what he'd done to his last arm, but he was still satisfied. As had been mentioned earlier Spike's motorcycle was still alive, and as his opponent jumped back it moved in it pulled upbehind him, knocking spike up so that he landed on it. He grabbed on without hesitation.. There was only one choice at this sort of time, wasn't there? The Bike was as much of a tough guy as he was, wasn't it? "I'll leave it up to you then." Spike knew damn well that he couldn't drive a motorcycle to do the sort of thing they both knew needed done. His opponent fired and the bike jerked, avoiding a direct hit. As it exploded the bike launched out, narrowly avoiding the explosion itself and blatantly ignoring the laws of convection. Another shot, and the bike veered out of the way again, before reaffirming it's path. Regardless Spike was going straight for Lucy, or so it seemed until he jumped off of the bike and came down with an ax kick from above. Of course there was no reason to think the motorcycle was stopping, was there? It was going for a direct charge!

OOC: Really? Huh... That's... That's really gonna be a problem for me now... Also, you actually ignored the second shot. She fired two rounds, not one. ~~~ Time was swiftly running out for Lucy's powers, with the forced-limit almost about to kick in... And Spike wasn't making it any easier to put him down before then. As the guy made an axe-kick off his bike, which had somehow managed to survive the bullet-hail that had riddled it and evade two explosions designed to break things with more durability than this guy was showing, Lucy put her barrier up in the way of the bike and "skated" backwards and to the right to evade the kick. Quickly reloading the cannon, she fired off a third shell, this one aimed more at the bike then the person, as to utterly remove the bike from the fight. "Tch... Damn limiter..." Unfortunately for the Liberion witch, the limiters that the tournament implemented kicked in, dissolving away the gun and her striker (along with forcing her magic to dispel, dropping her barrier and making the panda ears and tail vanish). "Tch... Back to fists it is then... Only this time, I don't have my enhanced strength to back up my blows... Defiantly like Basic all over again." |

The explosion struck and when it cleared the Bike was nowhere to be seen. Oh wait, there it was, flung through the air and crashing to the ground, clearly broken beyond usability. The moment no one was looking it would be gone all together. "Damn..." So, his ally was gone. Spike had liked that guy. While his opponent had lost use of her super strength Spike had lost the use of his left arm, and his legs weren't in very good shape. But... Spike tightened his right and pulled the battered chain off of his limp left arm with a grunt. He wrapped the chain around his hand.It was an impromptu knuckle duster, which at the end of the day had been what he had intended to use it for. Tightening his fist he made his arrogant declaration. "My right alone is good enough for you!" Spike only had one thing he could do. He charged headlong forward at her and threw a heavy punch with his right. 5.5/10

"One down." Well, that removed the bike from the equation, but not the rider. As Spike ran at her, Lucy ducked inside Spike's swing, to throw a punch at his wounded side. "Just so you know, I'm not about to ignore your injured side for the sake of "fair-play". I'm a Combat Pragmatist, so if I were you, I'd give up now and make the doctor's job easier." Even if she no longer had her Magically-enhanced super-strength, Lucy's punch at Spike's wounded side would still pack a wallop, thanks to the damage from her barrage of magical bullets before... However, she hadn't stepped away after her attack, meaning that is she missed, or Spike took the hit without problem, he had a great opportunity for a counter-attack. |

Spike was hit. He hadn't expected it for some reason. This was hardly the first pragmatic opponent he'd fought. Hell, sometimes he was the pragmatic fighter, though that wasn't that often. He expected his opponent to dodge the sort of telegraphed punch he'd just thrown sometimes, sure. But he hadn't seen the hit coming by a mile, and his side was in terrible shape. Spike shook for a moment, his voice shaking. But he was him, so it goes without saying that he threw another punch(with the chain), though not one with the sort of timing he would have needed to call it a counter. "I already told you... I'm invincible!" He in fact had not told her that, but he made the claim often enough that he didn't realize that. 6/10 |

"No, you didn't. You've only now, just exclaimed your apparent invulnerability to me. And I call BS on it. If you really were invincible, then nothing I did would have done damage... And yet, you bleed like a normal person Mr Ito. Just like the rest of us." Probably... Should have moved first, then called Bull rear-mess on Spike's claim to invulnerability, as Lucy was only just moving when Spike threw another punch. She nearly avoided it. Nearly did not equate to totally, as the metal links of the chain tore a neat furrow through the skin of her forehead, leaving a bloodied trail in their wake. "Alright, now that was just uncalled for." With a growl, the teen launched her counter-attack... An elbow aimed at the soft and yielding flesh between the bottom set of ribs and the hips (on the injured side, naturally), the momentum then applied into a knee aimed at the lower back, and to top it off, a grab aimed at the back of Spike's head in an attempt to then slam the guy's forehead into the hard-packed dirt... Needless to say, if the combo worked, then it would be incredibly painful. It had knocked her drill-sergeant, a short man built like a tank, both into the dirt and into unconsciousness... Though, how effective against Spike it would be, remained to be seen. |

Spike was focusing on his own weak side too. His opponent had shown the intent to attack it repeatedly so... He should defend it. Of course Spike's defense was more of a straight charge at the attack. Spike lunged at his opponent, her elbow missing it's target and instead hitting him in the chest. A pretty hard hit to the chest but at least he had things like bones in the way. Clearly even without her cheap tricks she was still a skilled striker. Spike pulled back his arm and threw a punch with the intention of nailing the side of her head. |

"Your tenacity is getting on my nerves... Kindly fall and pass out so that I can win, would you?" Ducking Spike's counter as she backed away, Lucy winced as once again, she was too slow to escape completely unharmed... The Chain made another neat slice into her skin, this time above her ear. "You really don't know how to make a lady happy, huh?" Wiping the trickling blood from the previous gouge from her eye, Lucy put herself back on the front foot with another offensive sally. Throwing a right hook at the guy's ribs again, the girl added a cross with her elbow at the side of the guy's head from her momentum, aiming to, hopefully this time, put Spike out cold... Surely he didn't have much stamina left? He'd been shot repeatedly and taken numerous punches, so he had got to be on his last legs somehow... right? |

"Hell no." He had no intention of losing. Or at least of going down. If those judges ruled against him again he'd deal with it but otherwise. "If'n you want treated nice then you shouldn't have come here!" Spike caught her punch with his right hand as she threw the hook, stopping her momentum right there, and preventing the elbow from getting anywhere near his face if she did decide to do it after being stopped. He held tight. She would have to use her other hand for the next attack if he didn't let this one go. Well, he should strike back then. Nothing else to do at a time like this He didn't have his left arm to punch with so... He pushed back her hand and pulled back his arm "KICK!" The declaration was sudden and completely honest, as Spike's foot whipped straight up. It was of course the kind of kick that would have given a nice panty shot if he wore a skirt. |

"You're just like my old Drill Sergeant, all muscle and no brain... No grace or courtesy either." As Spike stopped her attack cold by grabbing her hand, Lucy was starting to plan out her next move... Of course, her opponent's push-pull with his arm, and his loud declaration of "KICK" forced her hand with the plan only half-formed. As Spike's foot left the ground, she twisted herself around against his grip to evade the foot that would certainly have cracked a rib or another bone, were it to have connected. Ignoring the sudden lance of pain through her arm as she put joints through turns that they would normally never go through, she kicked out, aiming for the one place that was sure to elicit a response and pain from Spike; The groin. At the same time, she pushed her weight towards him, while they were both still off-balanced by having only one foot on the floor... Which meant that they would potentially be falling to the floor, and would leave Spike as the more vulnerable one below her. |
