TIME: HOW IS IT STILL SUNSET?! LOCATION: WE'RE LOST IN THE WOODS, SEND HELP! "And so we enter the third round of the tourney... wow.. three rounds already... so fast.." Deus said lacking any enthusiasm "You sound so unimpressed." Thanatos said with a sigh. "This time it's Spike Ito.. Last year he lost in one round.. to a girl.." "b-B-b-BUT! He fought HARD and he kicked BUTT, right boss?!" Chronus said, trying to make Spike look less lame! His boss was really bad at this!! "............ I guess?" Deus said with a tone that told you he didn't buy that at all. "w-W-Well.. This is his second try so hopefully he will win! His opponent is a newcomer! Lucy is a fresh faced freshmen but maybe she's hiding secret talents of battle prowess?!" |

Spike Ito clearly wasn't getting any help from the commentator. He knew damn well he lost to a girl. Of course that was the judges' fault. "I only lost by decision..." He'd have won no problem if he hadn't let his opponent stand back up... but that would have been boring. He wanted a rematch so he had to win until they faced off again. Well at any rate it was time for him to make his entrance. He'd have to make it good. VROOOM! A motorcycle drove onto the arena, with Spike riding on top of it. His right hand was loosely chained to the handlebar for some inexplicable reason. He'd had to be rather forceful with the bike to get it to cooperate but it seemed he wouldn't have any trouble with it for now. If he was going to win he had to go all out. "SPIKE ITO! HEAD OF HYAKUJI!" Edited by Kaloo, Jan 10 2012, 03:48 AM.

"I'm not some fresh-faced freshman, I'm a seasoned combat veteran of the Second Neuroi War... Although I was dimension-ported out of it before the war ended properly, but that's another matter indeed." If Spike entering the arena on a motorcycle was a "grand entrance", Lucy flying in with her Propeller Striker would probably count, if not exceed it... After all, she was wearing what could be considered parts from a pair of P51d Mustang Fighter Aircraft over her legs, only powered by a magical engine rather than internal combustion. Of course, the noise from the twin engines and the propellers would drown out the engine noise from Spike's bike... After coming in through one of the larger gaps in the foliage, Lucy flipped over to go from head-first to being legs-first to slow her descent to a hover only a foot from the floor. After halting, she then dissolved the striker unit, placing her feet firmly on the ground. "Captain Lucy Mireille Chulainn, Liberion Airforce and the 508th JMSW. Let's have a good and fair fight shall we?" Snapping Spike a smart salute, Lucy settled into a loose, but ready stance with fists raised and legs planted, totally ready for nearly anything Spike could throw at her. Unless he wanted to throw the entire BIKE, then she'd probably have a problem... |

Well, Spike had to feel a bit impressed. Everyone at this school was always throwing around their little magic tricks, but having your legs turn into plane propellers was one of the more impressive ones, wasn't it? A lot more striking at any rate. Well, he wasn't going to let the girl show him up with just that. He had no intention of going easy. He would use everything at his disposal. But then she said it. A good and fair fight. Well, if it was like that then Spike was in his element. He got off the bike, pulling his hand loose from the chains, and kicking out the kickstand. He left the bike right there on the edge of their battlefield. "Okay!" Spike only had one opening move and that was it. Well, sometimes he went on the defensive but that wasn't as reliable... He'd just go with his standard. Spike charged forward and went straight in with his most reliable move, the right straight! "Oryah!" He aimed straight for Lucy's face. His opening shot was always aimed at his opponent's face, even if he was fighting a girl. |

Right for the face, straight away? That took guts... But it wasn't like Lucy was going to let Mr Ito get away with that, not by a long shot. At the same time Spike threw his punch, Lucy had focused on the well of magic inside her, bringing it up. This in turn, made her panda ears and tail appear as the sign her power was in use. At the last second before impact however, she twisted to the side and wrapped her hands around Spike's wrist. "Hyaaa!" Using the momentum of the punch and her own (now considerably enhanced) strength, the time-and-dimensionally-displaced Liberion witch turned her foe's own punch against him, as she made her attack into a throw that would, if not negated or countered in some way, potentially hurl Spike halfway across the arena, if not plant him into the ground. |

Panda ears appearing out of nowhere seemed like a clear sign that she was not in fact having the fair fight she had offered. Clear cheating if ever he'd seen it. His wrist was grabbed and in an instant he lifted off the ground. There wasn't really time to think so he settled for the first thing that came to mind. He grabbed onto her wrist and pulled in. He had only an instant to make his attack, but that was enough. Spike's left slammed toward his opponent. He had enough time to attack, even if he couldn't guarantee anything like accuracy in this sort of situation. Spike was then, promptly slammed into the ground. His grip tightened as he gritted his teeth. "Heh..." He wasn't going to go down that easily. Though he was rather dazed by the impact. |

At the same time she attacked, Spike had countered with a sudden left... Which connected with the side of Lucy's head... If it weren't for the magically-enhanced body, she would probably have been laid flat-out bv it... But is it stood, she was dazed for a few moments, and had to shake her head to clear the chessboard-like pattern from in front of her eyes. "Okay, that? I felt... Ow... You don't hold back much, huh? Reminds me of basic, when the drill instructor put my arm out telling me that he wouldn't hold back because I was a thirteen-year old girl." Cracking her knuckles, Lucy turned to face her foe again, before letting rip her own "proper" attack (being that her throw had just been a counter), namely, a good left cross followed by a right hook... If Spike was still stunned from the landing after the throw, he'd probably be knocked out... If he didn't have the constitution and stubbornness of an ox, that was... If he wasn't stunned? He'd be able to defend himself better, maybe counter or something, either way, it'd be a more interesting fight if he had recovered before the teen had thrown her punches. |

Spike was stunned and the sudden punch didn't do him any favors, though it did get him refocused, just in time to avoid the hook that followed up. Spike suddenly lunged forward, his body reasserting itself into a full upright position, dodging the hook that had been aimed at him. "You look like a cat." You couldn't have a proper fight without a bit of banter, as Spike would tell anyone who actually listened to him. Having delivered his one liner he threw another right at Lucy, this time cleverly aiming for her gut rather than her face. She'd never see it coming. |

"Panda, not cat. Panda. Cats have more... Pointed... ears." As her right hook missed, Lucy used the momentum to turn on the spot. She had intended to use it as a means to get in a roundhouse kick, but it did include an extra benefit; Spike's punch, clever as it was, just whistled past her abdomen by around a centimetre, the airflow rippling her Liberion Airforce-issue shirt as it passed... While at the same time, over-committing the guy to his attack while she finished the turn into a startling Roundhouse aimed at the side of the guy's head. "Nearly had me. Wouldn't have seen it coming, if I hadn't gone for that kick." |

"That so kitty cat?" Spike's elbow slammed back as he gave up on his punch, seeing it miss. His opponent was spinning around and he intended to meet it head on, though not head first. His elbow crashed straight at her calve. It was a better choice that letting it hit him in the head. Spike was enjoying himself and that was all that really mattered right now. There was time to turn the fight around if anything went wrong. |

"Cats also have long tails, not fluffy bob-tails. Are you long on muscle and short on brains or something?" As Spike's elbow hit her leg, Lucy was forced to drop said limb from the momentary pain. Fortunately, as she crouched down from the hurt, she swung her uninjured leg in a low sweep-kick aiming to knock Spike to the floor. Though, that wasn't the end of her offence, not by far. As soon as her leg was retracted again, she bulled forwards with her shoulder. The timing was, to say the least, pretty good. If the kick had struck home, or if Spike had lept up to try and avoid it, he would be in the perfect position to take the shoulder barge to the gut. But if he had dodged to the side, it would miss instead... Such was the way of combat that few could truly predict what would happen. Only one who ever out-fought me other than Mio and Mina was Eila, with her fortune-telling ability letting her dodge my attacks... This guy's nothing like that... But he's got good moves, not much brain-power though. The time-limit for the match was going to soon creep up on them, but Lucy's Magically-enhanced strength would give her the potential for victory before then, unless Spike turned it around with his own considerable strength... Which was also another possibility... Then there was the possibility that neither would land the knockout blow, and the judges would take it from there. |

Spike of course wasn't so foolish as to let his legs be swept out from under him. Spike went straight into an attack though, rather than doing anything as sensible as moving to the side. Spike was in the air in an instant his right knee slamming forward to meet Lucy's face. "Absolutely!" Spike just admitted to being short on brains? Absolutely. He wasn't entirely sure that long muscles were a good thing though. Meanwhile his other leg was hit by her but that, while not particularly good for his leg, didn't interfere with his sudden counter attack. Of course in this sort of rapid exchange Spike would manage a solid hit at some point, then the fight would be over. Assuming his opponent wasn't as stupid as he was. Only an idiot would fight until he was broken. |

Well, that was something she wasn't expecting... The knee to the face threw Lucy back a good three metres. Standing up with a good bit of a swaying motion as she did so, the Witch shook her head several times to clear the loosened cobwebs and spat a mouthful of blood and a broken tooth to the forest floor. "Alright, screw the fairness. That really hurt." Flexing her left hand for a moment, Lucy raised her arm. Into her grip, came something made in gunmetal-grey. A magical approximation of the venerable .50 calibre M2HB Browning Heavy Machine Gun Heavy Barrel-variant of 1933-production (though with the "standard" grip and trigger of a gun then the V-shaped grips and Butterfly trigger), and she was hefting the 38kg (83.78lb) gun like it was no heavier than a pocket-pistol. Of course, since it was created from her power, so too, was its ammo... Meaning that it was theoretically limitless. "Unfortunately for you, I'm used to fighting very large aliens hell-bent on wiping out humanity. I don't have any particular problems against using very big weapons against a foe... Would have preferred to have not done this, but you've forced my hand." That was stretching the truth a little... Lucy had a much larger and heavier gun as back-up, and that one used explosive shells... But as it stood, the "fifty", was pretty good at shredding anything short of medium armour... And for good measure, she let off a large burst of none-elemental magic rounds. With a cyclic rate of fire of 450-600 rounds per minute, that was a lot of bullets. Spike had better think quickly, else he'd be suffering a lot of pain. |

"Glad to see you're willing to go full force!" Spike was glad. He'd forced his opponent to use her tricks with nothing but his own raw brute force approach. He then saw that she appeared to be summoning a gun. "Uh..." Right, easy solution. "PSYCHIC!" Would Spike now reveal that he had developed his until now unknown psychic powers like teleportation or barriers? Of course not. That would be silly. "MOTORCYCLE!" The semi-sentient motorcycle swung around in an instant and Spike grabbed the chain on the handle as it passed. The sudden strain on his arm as he was pulled along was nothing compared to the pain he would have had from being shot by that barrage though. Spike then released the handlebars, grabbing his chain off of it. That dodge had been a one time thing. The bike stopped dead, Spike throwing himself inward toward Lucy. Spike, being a tough guy shifted himself so he was going at her feet first, both heels extended to slam into her side. Power Use: 1/10 Edited by Kaloo, Jan 12 2012, 11:54 PM.

However, Spike's feet didn't hit the soft flesh of a girl... They hit an immovable barrier that sprung up in front of her, well, in front of her side. And that had to be pretty painful... Especially since it hadn't cancelled out his momentum upon impact, so he would have actually been forced into the unyielding surface by his own attack. "Definitely brain-dead. I can block laser beams, your feet are no problem. Plus, you're only hurting yourself by attacking my barrier here." Jumping back to give herself some space again, Lucy dropped the barrier and let rip with another long burst of fire, aimed both at Spike and the bike behind him. If the guy had survived the bone-smushing impact of his not-inconsiderable momentum against the immovable and sheer-vertical surface of her magical barrier, then there was little that Spike could do to avoid Lucy's barrage. |
