There's evil in your heart .. and it wants out to play.
Behind her mask, Hana looked at Tsubame with indifference. While she may have been discreetly trying to incite something from her, truthfully.. she didn't mind. No, that was wrong, more like she didn't care. The girl had said he was not her type from the beginning and Hana could only guess that the point of saying these things were to annoy her. Was she trying to pick a fight with her? Nonetheless, her plot to aggravate her failed.

From the start, this woman before her was the one who had started this showdown of sorts. It was clear that the both of them knew about the other's facade.. After all, it takes one to know one. For Hana, she knew exactly what Tsubame was trying to do and if Seth hadn't been within earshot she might've accepted this challenge. But it wasn't worth losing everything she had done to warm up to Seth, even just a little.

So the best thing to do was to distance herself away from this.. Her true self, that is. "Is that so?" she said, though her words seemed somewhat hollow. As if she had just said the words without any meaning, to move things along. She shifted her gaze elsewhere. For now, this roommate of hers wasn't important. Even if she knew about Hana's fake personality, she had nothing to prove it.

If she was going to deal with her, it would have to wait until later. For the sake of keeping up appearances, she put everything behind her for the while and smiled. "Ne, Tsu-chan? Do you have any plans for today?" Silently, she prayed she did so that she wouldn't have to invite her to spend the day with her and Seth.. Though seeing as she didn't seem to be in a rush, it would seem she would have to bear with it.

There was a moment of silence after Hana's hollow words of what seem to be indifference and ignores.

Screw whatever she was trying to think so nicely and rationally about before. She now knows what is the main reason why she is so eager to pick a fight with this woman.

She dislike her.

She dislike her so much, that she wants this woman's cover blown in front of the person she likes immediately, right here and now. She dislike her so much, that she wants this woman to tear her face and start some fights with her right now.

Yes, the more fake a person is, the more irritated Tsubame gets with that person. No, it's not mere irritation. The irritation alone does not make Tsubame act this way.

Despise. Yes, that is the word. She despise that of a person, especially if that person is doing it for a purpose- to make herself look good on the outside. The same way how she despise and gets irritated about herself.

… Does that mean that Tsubame, unconsciously, actually finds a mirror of herself in Hana?

Regardless of whether that statement is true or not, the irresistible irritation that Tsubame is feeling from this woman is making her act quite more drastically than she usually does- after all, harming the public image of Hana won't do her any gain. Instead, it hurts her long term interest.

And when Hana has shifted her focus, it is even more irritating, just simply because she is not able to do as she wish- to tear off Hana's fake mask in front of the person she likes.

This is something that Tsubame would think about, and probably regret starting, later on, but for now, the irritation get the better of her.

That is the reason why, when Tsubame hears that Hana asked her whether she has any plan, the facade on Tsubame's face simply continues.

"Of course no~ It's my first day out from the hospital, so there's nowhere to go~ It's not like I have a date like you do either, Hana-chii~" The girl grins, and looks beyond Hana to where she would assume Seth be standing, if he was eavesdropping for the entire time- not that he could help not to- to see if there is any sight of him. "Why, you two have some sort of plans~?

Damn it all. Why did she have to ask such a question? Because now she is being forced into the corner, with no choice other than to ask this devil woman to spend Christmas with them. Actually, she did have another choice. And that choice was to rip off her mask of deception, claw Tsubame's eyes out and break any and every chance she had of getting to Seth. But of course, she wasn't going to do that.. However tempting it may have been.

"Well, I was thinking.." She paused. Yes!! There was still time to back out of this!! That's right, just pretend you were talking about something else! Tell her.. You want to spend personal time with Seth! Tell her you both have been invited to a personal event that she isn't allowed to attend! Tell her SOMEONE DIED! Anything! Anything that will get rid of her..! "Why don't you spend Christmas with us?"

Rip.

Hm? What was that sound? I believe that was the sound of a tiny piece of Hana's very soul being torn off. Hateful and spiteful thoughts and emotions circled inside her like a violent shark about to go on a feeding frenzy. On the surface, the sixteen year old girl smiled charmingly like an innocent happy-go-lucky girl. Why did she have to be so committed to her act..?

Smiling once more at Tsubame, Hana slowly made her way to the kitchen. "Well, now.. Christmas isn't Christmas without a Christmas feast right?" she called out a little louder than usual, perhaps in the hopes of trying to get something through to a certain someone?

"I was waiting for you to say that,"

Okay, so apparently he went overboard with cooking somehow. Why the hell did he even start cooking in the first place? But WHATEVER. Someone's gotta eat all these stuff or it'll all go to waste. Being a butler especially helps. "It would be a shame to have you leave after all, why don't you join us?" The boy appeared next to the two, clad in his butler uniform (wherever he got it), straight, refined posture and a charming smile that seemed to sparkle as he motioned his hand towards the dining table, filled with... do I really want to list down everything he's done just for a feast made on a whim?

One thing's for sure, there's turkey.

Of course, as much as the two had a facade going on, he's got one as well. But instead of hiding behind his smiling face hate or despise, he's hiding anxiety and fear. Just standing there he could feel the chilling sensation emanating from the conversation between the two girls, cold sweat running down his face as he hoped so much the situation wouldn't take a turn for the way worse. Come on, please don't start a fight, please don't start a fight, please don't start a fight... "After you, Tsu-chan, Hana," ...Wait, why is he still calling her that? It's... sort of a habit he kind of gotten from that time when they had that Duel Monster tournament...

Evidently, Tsubame's fake smile froze a little, when she heard what was offered to her. But soon enough, the smile turns into a rather genuine, bright smile.

Poor Hana, that was the… worst thing she could have ever said if she had wanted to get rid of Tsubame, for Tsubame was genuinely enjoying the fact that her dear roommate has let her stay.

… Cause she had zero intention to leave to begin with, and she was actually trying to find an official excuse not to leave the room for the night. Now that Hana has actually given the invitation, things are so much easier. This is not her responsibility now. She was merely staying "because of my roommate's kindness." Nothing can be blamed on her now.

How would Tsubame not be genuinely happy about it?

"Why, Why of course I would!" Tsubame says extremely cheerfully, to the point where she'd be certain that, had Seth not been here, Hana would have probably started a fight with her for, "Oh how so kind of you, Hana-chii~!"

With that said, the floramancer reinserts the document that she has extracted from her bag back into its original container, and jumps off the bed like a cheerful young child who has just gotten the chance to do her favorite thing, and walks towards the kitchen following Hana's lead.

"And you too, Seth-kun~" The smile was nowhere near dissipating, that if Seth had not been in the room, he would have probably think nothing of them having an argument at all. Tsubame just looks way too happy to be actually on the brink of starting any fight at all.

Hell, it doesn't seem like Tsubame would be a person who starts or participates in fights at all, if all Seth has ever seen was this side of Tsubame.

"How nice of you to actually remember me from last time~" The girl takes a look at the boy and comments, before she takes another look at the meal, "And for the meal~"

Her jaw dropped. The first thing Hana noticed was.. Seth. He was.. H-He was.. HE WAS.. !!

JUST LOOK AT HIM!

For a moment, she faltered. She couldn't help but lose herself in his charm because, this? The way he was acting right now? THIS WAS HER IDEAL TYPE! And his smile..!! She swooned, basking in her own fantasy land. Yes, this was all worth it! Even if she normally didn't do this, it was going to be worth it! All this trouble, all this effort.. The reward was going to be so great~~!

The infatuated young girl was almost enjoying herself until Tsubame's stupid cheerful voice popped her bubble. Hana instantly snapped out of it with a little bit of shock on her face, as if the ground she had walking on had suddenly disappeared. That irksome tone made Hana's light-hearted thoughts turn murky. The things she would've done to that girl had Seth not been here!

She looked up at Tsubame with a glare that was so intense, it could've probably spontaneously combusted whatever she was glaring at. Oh, how she wished she could just punch this perky girl in the face. No, that wasn't enough. She wouldn't just punch her, she would punch, kick, uppercut, break every one of her ribs, knee her in the stomach and then take a sledgehammer to her. No, that still wasn't enough.

It took every fibre in her being not to just cry out, "FUCK OFF, SLUT!" Ahhh, it was too hard to keep this in!! Looking away from both of them and making sure they wouldn't be able to see, she released her expression and let her face take on a series of hateful looks. Then she turned back to them with a smile, as if she simply looked away because she thought she heard something. Ah, much better.

"Wow, you cooked so much!" she cried out in surprise, walking over to the table. "Were we really talking that long? I didn't realise!" As she looked down at the feast, her head shot back up to look at Seth and this girl in genuine surprise. "You've met each other?" she asked hastily, her words slipping out before she could stop herself. How did they meet??

Even though Tsubame has a strong dislike to that of Hana, she does have to compliment that Hana's endurance level is rather high. After all, had she been in Hana's place, she may, or may not, have been able to hold her fist, or would have done something physically already. Well, it could be just something like, forcing the opponent to sleep with spores, or just, well, things. Since she is not really in Hana's position, nor is she really contemplating on hurting another person discreetly right now, she wouldn't know for a fact how she would proceed to harm Hana if she decides to, and if their stances were reversed.

But that's all the more reason for Tsubame to push buttons. Yes, there is a reason why she has acknowledged that she knows Seth. Pushing more buttons, yes.

And she has succeeded. She could feel the haste in Hana's words, that, despite not flipping out because Tsubame has interrupted their two-people world for the rest of the Christmas night, and because Hana is not able to do anything with or to Seth, who is dressed really nice and handsome right now, she is starting to lose a bit of her calm.

Did she find a loophole?

The girl couldn't help but to smirk at that display. Well well well, what'd we have here.

"It's been a while since we saw each other, neh~?" The girl proceeds to look at the butler-dressed Seth, and evaluates him from top to bottom, then from bottom to top, not leaving even one inch of him left for inspection. "I didn't expect you to be such a dreamy butler! Now I can't decide whether I like this side of you, or that aggressive side of yours better~"

Tsubame proceeds to move near Seth, and gentle dusts a little bit of crust that went on his butler jacket, rather intimately. "Interested in working for me~?" The girl outright teases, though part of her saying that she wants him to work is true- after all, it is very hard to pass up such a gem. It'd make life so much nicer just to have him around in this sort of outfit all the time.

Yes, Tsubame is rather weak for this gentleman type, to be honest. Which is the reason why she has fallen head over heels for J, and she knew very well so.

He was just about to answer Hana's question when Tsubame butted in, apparently being a liiiiittle bit too close to him to be honest. "What do you mean a while, it's hasn't even been that long," The boy said, pulling a chair for Tsubame and... apparently forgot to show equal courtesy for Hana. Not sure whether he really forgot or he's purposely ignoring her or... whatever. "Then why not take both? An aggressive dreamy butler, sound like a dream come true," He said with a chuckle, the call for a teasing game is just too strong.

Yersh... okay... nothing seems to be wrong for the moment... everything's all happy and fun... they both look like they're enjoying themselves, so he should play along... even if Tsubame or Hana were doing their best hiding their true selves from him he could still feel the animosity between the two thanks to V's powerful psychological nature, capable of sensing feelings, though it's mostly killer aura, because V's a natural killer himself. And... damn he's getting a lot of it from Hana behind that cheery looking mask.

But... whatever. So long as things doesn't get to the worse, it's... best to play along, keep the happy situation going, don't falter, don't... do something stupid or whatever. "Well, I'd love to, but my pay is very expensive," He said with a smile and an unnecessary wink.

And... Hana was ignored.

What? Hana lost her grip on the chair she was holding onto. Her expression was equivalent to that if she were to be struck by random lightning. Complete and utter shock. And before she gave that emotion a chance to settle, it quickly morphed into anger. Her fingers curled onto the piece of furniture with a vice-like grip. She was really slipping now.. But who could blame her? This woman knew no bounds.. And Seth wasn't entirely innocent either.

Tsubame's actions were not surprising but what was, was Seth's. Though her roommate's words, tone, actions and looks toward Seth had irked her to no ends.. What really toppled Hana off her tower of collected composure was the boy in the butler uniform. Not only did he play along with .. with that bitch.. but he ignored her. He didn't even give her a glance, or even a mere thought. As if she didn't exist.

As if they didn't hang out all the time. As if she doesn't carefully prepare bentos for him just to make him happy. As if she doesn't put on some extra effort just so he'll like her. As if she doesn't know his favourite drink was hot chocolate. As if she didn't have a specially handmade Christmas present for him she spent hours in the winter cold making. And most importantly.. As if they weren't friends.

"Fine, I get it," she mutters darkly, staring hard at the floor,"I know when I'm not wanted." She gives them both a stale look before making her way to the door. "Have fun." She slams the door behind her, and storms down the hall with gritted teeth and eyes that threatened to bite the head off of anyone who dared to come close to her.

This was utterly ridiculous. She didn't have to deal with this! This was the reason why she never tried to do things this way in the first place. Doing things the nice way always disappoints. Always. This proved it! She tried to bond to get to Seth and what did she get? Essentially a slap in the face! And even getting somewhat emotionally attached.. Hana clenched her fists. Argh! Fuck you, Seth!

Well. Apparently what he was trying to do, he achieved something completely opposite. "Eh?" The boy said in puzzlement, noting Hana dropping the cheerful expression she was wearing just moments earlier, now looking about as depressed and as grim as ever. "Uhm... Hana?" He said worriedly, nervously listening to her somewhat ominous words before she suddenly took off, eliciting a yelp of surprise from the boy, "Wha-Hana! Wait!" who tried but was too late to stop her, the door slamming hard into his face.

He stood there, frozen in his track, oblivious to Tsubame who was probably standing there behind him being equally shocked and confused by Hana's sudden outburst. He could tell there was something she didn't like about the current situation but... what? And to the point where she decided to make a scene about it? Seth couldn't help but feel slightly useless and stupid at this, she's his friend and he doesn't even know what was it that's making her so uneasy and disturbed like that. Augh, this is just so wrong... Summing everything up, what the hell just happened...?

...

"She can't be far... Sorry Tsu-chan! I'll take care of this," The boy said, glancing back at Tsubame briefly before heading out of the room. He really should stop calling her that. Right... so he doesn't really know where she's going, so... even now it would've been a lost hope just trying to track her down.

Well. There's till the power of guessing. And his guesswork is sometimes deathly accurate.

The door slammed behind Hana, then behind Seth again.

Tsubame's expression ever since Hana flipped out was one that of utter shock- quite real in that, too- until Seth finally left too, making her the only person in the room.

Then, the shocked expression quickly dissolves, and a cruel smirk comes up onto her face.

The floramancer returns to her side, and throws herself onto the bed. She closes her eyes, puts her forearm up to cover her foreheads, and the smirk widens into a big smile.

Hahhh, that felt good.

Needless to say, Tsubame is not one bit sorry about what she has done to Hana. Well, maybe it is rather problematic for Seth to deal with, to actually try to make Hana talk to him again, but that's Seth's fault to begin with. After all, it is Seth's failure to acknowledge what kind of a girl he actually is dealing with, and his obliviousness to women's jealousy.

She is merely doing what Star did to her before.

Only difference is, Star is there to help. She is there to hurt.

And the clueless, innocent puppy-dog look on Seth's face after Hana stormed out was great, too. Only if he knows what sort of a trap he so innocently stepped into. And, as far as Tsubame can tell from her limited knowledge of Seth, she can probably continue to do this to Hana, with Seth not knowing what she is actually doing, too. He is simply too kind, too nice and too innocent to women's heart to actually grasp what she does.

Though, there is a slight problem.

Now that her relationship with Hana has soured at the very first meeting that they ever has, Tsubame needs to find a way to make sure that Hana does not retaliate on her with little movements, such as hurting her plants. But then again, the plants are already damaged to begin with.

Well, guess the plants now go to the elemancer tower instead. She has that planned in mind already anyway.

And, guess the freelance work can re-station to Zodiac, too. After all, she has been working "freelance" for them for a while now, anyway.

So all that's left are her change of clothing and bed, and living essentials.

… Let's just leave all of those here. Osiris Solomon has all of those, too. If she puts this under the disguise of "work", she should get by in his mansion quite fine.

All that's left, then, is J.

There's just one more thing for her to not tell J, now.

Though, to be honest?

This is all worth it.

Though it was hardly what she needed right now, Hana made her way Downtown to look for some guys. Even if the vibe she was giving was anti-social, and her clenched fists looked like she was gonna punch someone and her expression looked like she was going to murder someone and whoever dared to get in her way was next.. Well, Hana wasn't thinking so clearly. All she knew was that she needed to get her mind off things and this was what she could rely on to raise her spirits. But at the moment, that looked highly unlikely.

Hana watched with hard eyes, her gaze shifting from person to person. A few minutes passed by, but her expression didn't fall at all. Neither did her thoughts leave her mind. How was she going to succeed in getting a guy like this? Her eyes fell upon the glass window nearby, catching her reflection. No.. She wasn't going to succeed. "Argh!" She kicked at the tree beside her with enough force to leave a deep indentation of her foot. It shook the snow from its branches, causing it to fall on and around her.

The rage roared inside her, as she finally let her thoughts loose. What the fuck was his problem, huh? Being on that stupid bitch's side like that. Like they were a fucking perfect couple and she was just some random outsider they took pity on. Even when she wasted so much time, so much effort just to get to him. And he'd just brush it away like that. Did he know how tiring it was, how exhausting it was maintaining this perfect act for him. Just for him! Ha. Seems like Seth had been a lost cause all along.

As the anger subsided, the lone teenage girl sat down on the frozen bench. Hana cared way too little about whether the ice was too cold or whether it would give her butt frostbite. Right then, Hana didn't care about anything. She had on her face an indifferent expression as she looked up at the people walking past. There weren't as much people as when she first got here and a big majority of these people were couples having a romantic walk together on Christmas. Ugh.

Okay, so he made a quick search around the dormitory and came with nothing. This is becoming even more troubling seeing as she might be anywhere in the big city. He was still unsure whatever the hell was up with her to make her so angry like that, but come on, give him a break! "Hana! Come on, where are you?!" He yelled out to her, running across the streets of Hyakuji, bulldozing his way against the snow and crowd without so much as a consideration. Anything else mattered naught to him but Hana at the moment...

Possibly a lucky break. One unintentional route choice at a junction led him directly at Hana herself.

Oh wait. This place... it's where he first met her, right? And it really hasn't been that long too. There was Hana, sitting lonely on the very same bench they both sat on when they first interacted. "Hana?"

Hana had her head in her hands, staring down at the ground with frustrated eyes. This was pathetic. Everything. She had been lonely all this time so why did she feel especially isolated right now? There was no difference. She was always lonely.. Seth didn't change that. Nothing did. Maybe acting along with him this whole time had gotten some feelings to her head. They weren't real anyway. Hana wasn't anything special to Seth. Those feelings she had were obviously one-sided. Everything was all so crystal clear now..

"Hana?"

Doki.

Her eyes widened. Letting go of her hand and slowly straightening her posture, she stared down at the ground for a moment, as if in contemplation of her next actions. She got up, turned to him and abruptly kicked the snow in his face. On her face was a fierce scowl so incomparable to the usual sweet smile she had for Seth. "Bastard. Go die in a hole," she said simply in a cold voice, turning her back on him and starting to walk away.

How dare he show his face to her after that? How dare he come looking for her when he was the last person she wanted to see? At least, that was as far as she was going to admit. How dare he say her name in such a gentle tone? How dare he.. How dare he.. Her heart..

...

No!

Why should she suddenly cave in like this when all this time she had been waiting patiently at his side, yet he would have the gall to push her away? Remember.. Remember why you're angry!! She cursed under her breath, grinding her teeth together to keep her calm. Her body shook, unable to suppress the urge to scream and kick as much as she wanted.

Why was she so hung up over this? She shouldn't be acting like this.. So then, why ..?

"What- Hana! What's all this about?!" He probably took it a bit too lightly just minutes ago, but things seemed to have taken a turn for something he could not have expected. Her uncalled for anger riled up frustration from him as he tossed the snow from his face to the ground, walking up to her as he did. She's angry, but for what he has no idea. Wouldn't it have been better if they could just say it right at his face instead of playing hide-and-seek with feelings like this?

Some people would call him a naive idiot for not understanding, some would call him a jerk. But that will not be a valid argument if the other party just threw everything at him without any proper explanation or visible signs or reasoning that he could see. That's usually a recipe for some serious level misunderstanding, and he'd rather avoid that. She's usually not like this... what was it that happened at the room that made her so darn hostile like that?

...Wait, he probably knew why.

"Is this about Tsu-chan?"
