OOC: First post to Fin, please. Other people are welcome to join if they want to though. Points if you get the song reference in the title. ~~~ Most people who see mountains climb them, others photograph them or paint them. Other people may fly over them in aircraft, while others go nowhere near them out of feelings of vertigo. However, a green-brown haired girl was not "most people". At the moment though, she was half-way up the side of Mt. Hyaku, on a small plateau. "It's nice being out here... The sun's shining, and the sky is clear and blue..." Sitting on a rock, the girl set an unusual example of looks with her hair in pig tails, a dark-red shirt clearly designed for a man with muscles, a black skirt and a pair of boots... Oh, and seemingly gravity-defying boobies? Were the boobies mentioned as being gravity-defying? There had to be mention of being gravity-defying there somewhere. For personal reasons, namely setting up an exercise routine, Captain (former) Lucy Mirelle Chulainn, of the Liberion Air Force and the 509th Joint Multi-Strike Wing, was out there... Though, she had a feeling that she wasn't alone... |

Nope, she's not alone at all. Or at least, she won't be in the next two seconds. CRASH!!! Ooh, he got lucky this time. Landed on the flat rocky ground instead of someone. Well. partly lucky, he supposed. While it might be good to get himself a (probable) face-full of the gravity-defying breasts, he's not too keen on getting thrown off the cliff again, like what just happened three seconds ago. Yes, he just fell from up above. Don't ask. What the hell were you doing up there in the first place anyway? The metavirus in his head asked in confusion and exasperation, mystified by the inner mechanism of the idiot's mind. "I thought I said don't ask..." Seth said in a muffled voice, sounding fairly fine despite the fact that he just fell off the mountain. Oh, don't worry, it wasn't really that high up anyway. The boy still refused to clarify his reasoning for the somewhat crazy stunt though, although the large backpack full of hiking gear lying at his feet may explain his intention. "I require mental revival. And some physical refreshment if you have any," The boy said, mostly to V, but people around him would usually either A) think of him as a madman or B) think that he's talking to them. But it's mostly A. Especially after it seemed as though he had just hit his head pretty hard. Edited by Fin, Dec 31 2011, 09:03 PM.

That... Was totally unexpected... One moment, Lucy was sitting down, the next, some guy face-planted the ground in front of her. Picking up a hiking stick she had made out of a tree branch, she poked him a few times. "Are you okay? I mean, seriously?" Her faint accent would have placed her as being American, but that was because the America of her world, was the United States of Liberion... Displaced from dimension and space, Lucy wasn't native to the world, but felt that it needed her more than her home world did against the omnicidal alien race, the Neuroi... So, she poked Seth a few more times... So she could make sure he was okay... Or just mad and delusional... As they say, "Better safe than sorry", right? |

"Physical refreshment, check. Though I certainly did not expect to be poked again," He said with a slight irritation, waving away the makeshift hiking stick currently being used to poke him as he rolled on to his back. Looking a bit disoriented after the long fall but somewhat fine and dandy. "Ow," That one word summarized his condition. Though he should have said that in a bit more convincing way. "Yes, I suppose you could say I'm fine. Aside from the fact that I think I broke a kneecap or something," Eh, but in general he's fine. "In any case... isn't that shirt a bit too big for you? A girl should wear something a bit more tight-fitting. And I want to touch about a skirt in the middle of winter, but I can't complain right now," Yersh, it's a nice view from down here. Eh. Whatever, the dude's totally missing the point of having fallen off a cliff out of nowhere. Either he really doesn't care about his own safety or he just like to give away fashion tips. |

"I'm surprised you aren't screaming half the mountain down in pain, if you did break your knee." Oddly calm as she stared down at Seth, Lucy too the fashion advice with a disinterested shrug... Too many people were giving her "Fashion advice" these days... "When you are quite finished staring up my skirt...?" As a witch, Lucy had flown with little more than her underwear or a bikini to cover her modesty under her shirt, so people seeing her smalls wasn't really that embarrassing. If it was, she'd have never joined the Liberion Air Force as a witch in the first place. "I'm Captain Lucy Mireille Chulainn, commanding officer of the 509th JMSW, and a member of the United States of Liberion Air Force. You are...?" |

"Seth Ryouga, normal boy, a student of Hyakuji High. And give me a few more minutes, I have burn the image on my mind," Right, he's probably pushing his luck there, but it was worth it. "...Kay, done," He sure was taking his time. After a few moments of awkward (except it wasn't) silence, feeling content and satisfied he pushed himself up to his feet. Of course, it would have been better had he gotten out his BatShot as well... Ha well. You can't always get what you want. "Let me have a look again some other time," He said in a casual tone, giving a thumbs up as though it was the most normal thing to do in this world. That was certainly chivalrous of him. She didn't get embarrassed though, so that kind of took away half the fun. "Now, if you don't mind, I'm going back up there to investigate some mysterious disappearing that have been happening as of late," He said without so much of a restraint, picking up his backpack and resumed his hiking up the mountain. Idiot, that was supposed to be a secret. "Was it? Oh well," |

"Sorely tempted to kick you off the mountain now... But that'd be assault... And against the law..." Oh, the curse of being Neutral Good... The inability to kick perverts off mountains was coming back to bite Lucy in the backside... Though, that wasn't overly important right now... "So... Seth was it? You're investigating the disappearances of people happening at the mountain? I can lend you a hand, not for nothing am I a decorated solider of Liberion and a highly capable witch." Again with the "Liberion"? Despite her accent, vague that it was, placing her as American? Unless Seth was a total idiot, he'd have to make the connection somehow... "Besides, can you fly? I can, I just wanted the physical exertion of actually climbing the mountain rather than cheating and flying over it." A fair point, given that with her Propeller Striker, Lucy could have been at the summit a while ago, but had instead decided to climb it. |

Part of him wanted to ask her about this 'Liberion' thing, and according to his nature as a busybody he should have done so like... a few minutes ago when she introduced herself. If he hadn't been too busy staring up her skirt. "Question number one, what's the Liberion Air Force?" Question number two would be whether her intro about her being in the military was a joke or she was just trolling him. And from the sound of it, she is 'supposedly' a high-ranking officer too. Sounds fun. But anyway. "Yeah, I've just been hired to investigate mysterious disappearing that has been happening up there as of late," He said, pointing up to the summit of the mountain. "Some people say it's a monster that comes up at night and kidnaps people, others claim that they just fell down and died. That doesn't explain the lack of any bodies to be found," It was certainly strange, per se. In a normal circumstances he wouldn't have even known about all this incident in the first place, but working at a detective agency does have its merit of getting to know the shady part of the city. Like this one. "And... no, I don't think a human being is supposed to fly in the first place..." He said, a sweat drop forming on his face as he turned around to resume his hiking. |

"My apologies... You see, I'm neither... Of this world, or this time. I'm from an alternative world, my "Liberion", is your "America". Other than some country names, the two worlds are mostly the same..." Shaking her head a few times as she explained, Lucy was unsure if Seth would believe her. Most people tended to, because this school was a meeting point for strange and unusual happenings... But there was the chance that others would think she was having a laugh or something. "Monster you say? Can't be worse than an omnicidal alien race out to wipe out humanity, with laser weaponry and power outstripping nearly everything before them..." Smiling grimly at that, Lucy had raised a fair point... In her world, the Neuroi were a deadly menace that was destroying humanity... And there was nothing, except the Witches that could really make a difference against them... In fact, Witches like her, were really the only way to defeat the Neuroi. "Mankind dreams of flight, to fly higher and faster than the birds, and maybe... Ascend to Heaven too..." It was the work of a moment to focus her magical power, which summoned the panda ears and tail she had while using her power, as she called out her Propeller Striker unit. The Striker, derived in looks from the P51D Mustang fighter aircraft, encased the girl's legs while making the skirt disappear as to aid the functionality of the device. "Alright... Time to activate!" Focusing for a further second, a magical circle the size of a football field appeared under Lucy as the blades of magical propellers appeared and then span as the magical engines inside roared into life. Of course, as take-off was necessary, she had to leave the plateau... But the rock platform was too short to allow for use as a proper runway, and Lucy disappeared from sight as she descended, only to rise moments later, and hover by Seth. "Need a lift? I can get you up to wherever the monster is supposed to be hiding, and assist in combating it... If said beast is real, and it's not a string of accidents happening, that is." |

Oh, nice. A double thumbs up from Seth for the free viewing. Dammit he really should have brought his Bat Shot with him, it's not everyday that you get to find someone not embarrassed to show off everything. Well, almost everything. Of course, the moment didn't last long as she immediately disappeared from the plateau. Before reappearing the next second, hovering in the air with the propeller humming loudly across the plateau. He hadn't been paying attention before, but now he's genuinely surprised by the sudden appearance of the... plane-thing on her legs? Whatever it's called. "As impressive as everything is, are those ears and tail necessary?" He said, pointing at the extra accessory that appeared alongside the machinery. Not that he's complaining. |

"Yes, yes they are. Witches from my world have the visual indicators of these animal ears and tail when we use our magic. A lot of us also have relatively unique magic powers too, such as healing or an offensive-based ability... I haven't got an ability like that, not yet at least... I hope I have one, but I don't know if I do have one." Shrugging that off, Lucy extended her hand to Seth. "Now, you want a lift or not? Be much quicker than trying to climb by hand, you know." As a Witch, her strength was above that of a "normal" person... To the extent that she could lift a one-ton gun by herself... Though, she wasn't the strongest Witch, that would be one of her former comrades when she was with the 501st Joint Fighter Wing; Lt. Barkhorn of Karlsland, who could shift a several-ton girder by herself... Though that was besides the point. Point was, Seth would be nothing in terms of carrying capacity to her, and thus, no problem to carry. |

Well, he's not excited about it, nor was he against it. Why not? He did promise Youma that he'd be back before sundown, so the quicker the better. "I guess," He said, extending a hand to her. It's actually quite strange, he's never gonna be used to a bike, yet flying like this felt so darn natural. Maybe it's that fear of running into a lamppost every time they took a sharp turn at a corner, but who knows. "Over there," Or so the people said, as he pointed at a somewhat flat terrain at the very top of the mountain. He's not exactly sure what's to be found when they reached there but--WOAH. ...Okay. THAT was totally unexpected. As they approached the summit a spectacular, yet creepy at the same time, view loomed underneath them. A gigantic hold that leads to a seemingly infinite darkness down below, a hole large enough to fit a small apartment. How the hell did no one notice this before?! "Looks like a giant earthworm made a home..." |

"Either that, or the mountain grew a mouth... Looks like that monster-theory might not be so off-base after all." Keeping a decent distance from the hole, but close enough that the pair could see if there was anything at all in there, Lucy was thinking about if she needed to summon one of her weapons. "You want to check it out? Might get a bit dangerous in there, so I can understand if you might want to give it a miss." |

"What, close my eyes and pretend I never saw anything?" Pfft, like hell he's actually gonna do that. That would tarnish his identity as a detective working at the Willicott Detective Agency, and it would be troublesome if he let this thing go wild. Even if it hadn't before. One chance he had to fix this before everything goes out of control and he's not letting it go. Besides, the pay's huge. A somewhat sly grin appeared on his face as he reached backward into his bag for his Bat Shot, tossing it into the giant hole. "Alright, let's get down to the side first. Intel will be back in about... now," And sure enough, the moment the two landed on the rocky sides of the giant hole a small mechanical bat with a large lens on its side fluttered into view, coming from the large hole itself. "Alright, let's see what we've got," He said, the mechanical bat chirped and squeaked as it transfomed back to a camera and fell into his hand. "Hrm..." Seth turned it over and flipped through the digital images captured on the Bat Shot, revealing nothing but dark tunnels and rocks and stuff. "Doesn't seem like there's anything interesting or dangerous in there..." He said with finality, turning around to snap a picture of Lucy before stuffing the camera back into his bag. "I think it's safe to descend. You don't have to come if you don't want to," |

"And neglect my duty to protect civilians? What kind of soldier do you think I am, huh?" Letting go of Seth when they were about a foot above the rocks, so that the guy wouldn't go "splat" on anything, Lucy dissolved her Propeller Striker. The action brought her skirt back, but neither the ears or tail vanished, and a gun that looked suspiciously like a slightly modified M2 Browning Heavy Machine Gun appeared in her left hand. Racking the slide to ready the weapon, Lucy's face adopted a grim smile... "Time to show why I deserved that Medal of Honour, Silver Star, two Distinguished Flying Crosses, two Distinguished Service Medals, and five Purple Hearts..." As soon as her energy reconfigured, Lucy would be able to summon up her Tank Striker, but she needed a few more moments for that. |
