Now, let's play together...under the clearest of blue skies.
"Oh, I see." Erin responded, letting the homeroom issue drop. "I had this class last year, so I know how it goes. If you want, we can partner up." She offered, "The teacher puts the class in pairs, and we have to cook something together. You'll get the hang of it pretty quickly. Usually we have a lot of leeway in what we make, but she'll specify that we have to use a certain ingredient in it, or something like that." She explained as best she could, looking around. "It doesn't look like she's here yet, so we can just stand by a table until she gets here."

And in the endless pause there came the sound of bees.
Rachel stepped into the cafeteria without saying a word. Her ususal smile and charm were absent today, and it was obvious that the new girl was uncomfortable. The reason? Well, that was the same as always. It was her clothes--her school uniform in particular. Despite her last-minute adjustments, the mass-produced (and badly hemmed) outfit still just didn't quite fit right. Everything from her mary-jane flats to her skirt just felt...off, somehow. Had she ordered the right size?

Rachel sighed and made a note to get herself a properly fitted outfit when school was over. Putting her clothing debacle aside for a moment, the foreigner made her way to an empty seat and, after wiping the seat free of some day-old crumbs, sat down. She then eyed the handful of people who'd bothered showing up to class, wondering which of them she'd end up getting stuck with today. Not "partnered" with--stuck with. There was a difference. See, the term "partnership" implied a mutual exchange of effort, and that didn't happen with Rachel. She always ended up doing all the work.

In any case, the students here all looked normal enough, which was a plus. Rachel tilted her head back down and pulled out her favorite pocket mirror--framed in hot pink, of course. She adjusted her hair, discarded a stray eyelash, and fixed the smallest lipstick smudge in the history of mankind. Finally satisfied, she tucked her tiny cosmetic assistant away and looked around again.

Where was the teacher, anyways?

There's evil in your heart .. and it wants out to play.
Suddenly, the floor starts trembling. Rumbling can be heard in the distance as everything hanging on the wall shakes against the wall. A small cloud of dust can be seen from the open door, getting closer and closer along with the sound of a stampede. "SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETHHHHHHH!!!" Hana zooms into the room at the speed of light, rushing over to Seth's side. "I heard, I heard! Are you okay?! Are you hurt?! I can take you to the nurse's office if you want!!" Her words turn into mush as soon as they left her mouth.

All that energy used up from running so hard and fast finally caught up to her as her knees gave in and she fell to the ground, taking hard and sharp breaths while her legs shook uncontrollably. "B-Bwahhhh.." Really.. acting like an idiot like this.. Where exactly was she getting bright ideas like this from? Taking in as much oxygen as she could, Hana crawled over to lean against the wall.

Celia turns her head towards Ethan and saw him unconcious.

"Ehehehehe... Oh crap..." she laughed, embaressed, cue sweatdrop. "That did the exact opposite of what I hoped it would do."

"Looks like my random hug cure was worse than the disease, huh?" she joked, still embarrassed.

Ignoring all the insanity going around, Zhimeng decides to chose a partner as soon as possible, someone she knows isn't going to act like a fool, so the other Yume-Chan is naturally out, and she isn't that familiar with most of the other students around, so she just walked towards one of the girls, namely, one of the other girls and requested an alliance, "Greetings, can I join you?" She asked.
And with that, she putted on her apron and wears cook's hat (not a chef's hat) hair over her head, which she had already tidied all her hair into a hair net while walking into the class, and open up her knife case, and taking out her Chinese Cleaver which is made from high end stainless steel, together with her Santoku knife, paring knife and peeler which are all of black ceramic, before arranging them all in order on a wet cloth on one of the table near where Erin is.
And naturally, she had changed into her Safety Shoes before she enter the kitchen.

         On the other hand...

The other dream has absolutely no idea what to do, her long hair still flowing freely in the kitchen, and upon hearing Erin's words, decides to run over to the girl whom had walked in with her...
"Get lost." Was the reply she got from Zhimeng as she went over to Erin, requesting to join her.
"Oh well~ Celia-Kun~" Changing her target, Thianbang ran towards the girl whom she met not long ago and just greeted.
"ShangGuan Tianmeng!!!" Yelled Zhimeng at Thianbang, using the Mandarin instead of the Hoikkien pronunciation that Thianbang prefers in order to stress her annoyance at her friend's behavior, "It's bad enough that you are not wearing safety shoes but just normal shoes in the kitchen, don't bloody be a brain-dead safety hazard in the kitchen by running about! This is a place with sharp knifes, hot stoves and other dangerous stuffs, not your bloody playground! Make up you idea!"
"Sorry~" Said the witch as she slowed down and walked towards her target, wondering why Zhimeng is so work up on something like safety in the kitchen.
"So, Celia-Kun, can we cook togther?" She said, as she also took out a knife case and displayed her knifes, which includes, a Dozuki, a Straight Razor, a Scalpel and a X-Acto, while seeking Celia's approval for partnership with a cheerful smile.
         EPIC FAIL.

While Zhimeng facepalmed at the stupidity.
"So, hope we can work together well, if you are ok with it." She smiled at the other girl, deciding to just totally ignores Thianbang's entire existence for the duration of this class.

"Oh, sure." she mentioned, walking over to her somehow even more insane friend. She was clearly friend, knives or not knives. And it's not like she hadn't come across more dangerous things than a bat-shit insane girl with knives. Which may sound odd, but she has. Besides, showing knives wasn't insane enough to scare her off.

"I wonder what we're going to make today?" she asked. She then thought of something.

"Let me guess, I suppose you've gotten ahold of some cooking footnotes from the witches? I'm still skeptical on it though. But I've heard an old saying that goes 'Lack of evidence doesn't mean lack of existence'." she asked. Which by that, she meant a 'Strike Witches Cookbook', based on the fictional anime. As for what her friend mentioned, Celia was capable of being skeptical. But she was rather open minded about possibilities.

"Just remember that if you ever find some site from back from the war you think would be booby trapped out the wazoo, remember to take me along. Trust me, I know all about traps." she explained.

Follow me for madness and fun!!!!
Sho sighed. She watched as all of the madness continued to ensue, wondering all the while if she would ever get used to it. She was used to her usual problems of falling through objects that ceased to exist even though only moments before, they had been there but the class hadn't started yet and so many odd things were going on.

One does not simply eat one packet of mee goreng
...The hell? "Aah... I think you're the one who might need the nurse's office at this rate..." Yea, he's not the one who ran through the school like a mad rhino only to collapse moments later. Dammit, the story really did spread. Sheesh. Well. Anyway, turning back to Erin. Good to know someone in this class who knows how things work. "Sure, we can partner up," And for some reason, he felt like trolling her. Bowing down in a polite manner he said, "I'm inexperienced, please take care of me,"

No no no, that's something a newlywed wife would say to her husband...

Dangerously Cheesy.
After first period came to an end, Yuki couldn't seem to shake the feeling of slight unease that accompanied her after encountering ill-tempered (and rather sentient) mecha during science class. While she was sure the teacher wouldn't let anything happen to any students, she was still surprised that she'd made it out of there alive. If nothing else, not knowing whether she had passed the "pop quiz" or not was what put her on edge the most. She may not have appeared to be the brightest crayon in the box, but having her grades up in the air was slightly unsettling.

She pushed open the door to the large cafeteria, one of the few classes that seemed to actually take place in the proper location (although unconventional teaching methods sure made things interesting). With her book bag slung over one shoulder, she scanned the room for people she knew, and although a few were acquaintances, she recognized Seth's presence immediately.

Yuki was enthusiastic, but she'd learned to calm down around her closer friends instead of acting like each encounter was a five year reunion. She raised a hand and waved with a smile until she made it closer to where he and a few others were gathered. Yuki, unlike the others, had no idea what'd gone on earlier that morning with him and proceeded onto normalities.

"Aiyaaaa..." she let out with an exasperated sigh, collapsing into a nearby chair and propping her upper body on an arm on the table. "First period was nuts! Hopefully this class will go smoothly, ne?" she rhetorically asked no one in particular, though it could've been assumed it was directed at Seth.

Looking around the cafeteria she also wondered whom she'd be partnered with, though it didn't much matter to her since she was pretty personable. And given her cooking skills (or general lack thereof) she needed all the help she could get.

At Seth's familiar words, Hana frowned. So he was still angry about what happened at the Christmas party.. "I already said I was sorry, didn't I!" she cried out in an indignant tone, staring at the back of Seth's head. As she watched him offer to partner up with another girl, her eyebrows began to furrow. "No! You're partnering up with me!" She grabbed his arm and dragged him away, to a different bench. He was probably doing it to spite her anyway.

"You're so unfair, Seth! I didn't know what I was doing that time and I apologized already! Mou!" She crossed her arms and pouted like a child not able to get what she wanted.

As the girl she was trying to team up with totally ignored her, Zhimeng decides to turn to another girl to request for alliance, "Erin-Chan~ can I partner you since your partner is taken?" Giving her signature cheerful smile while packing up her knifes and then walking towards Erin.

"Huh...?" Erin looked confused as...some random girl came up and complained about something. She didn't really know what was going on, but it looked like they knew each other, so... "Um...okay. Sorry..." She apologized sheepishly as the boy was dragged away, even though she didn't really know if she had done anything wrong. She gave a small wave goodbye before turning away.

"Sure, Zhimeng." Erin responded to the other girl, still not really sure what had happened back there. "I'm sure we'll work great together."

Controlling some characters to get ingredients out and stuff so that the plot can move along. Sorry if this bothers anyone.

The double doors to the kitchen swung open, admitting an annoyed looking Alyssa and effectively grinding all conversation to a halt. She walked over to the front of the room, tying her apron strings as she went and making sure that her hair was pushed back out of her face. "Alright," she said. "Sorry I'm late. Some genius fuc--excuse me, fudged up the delivery on the ingredients I asked for." She picked up the clipboard she had attached the roll sheet to, glancing over the classroom once and checking the names off of it. "Incidentally, if any of you are heading out by the right side of the building later, get the guy pinned to the wall by his shirt down."

She set the clipboard down, sighing and pushing her hair out of her face as she looked at the students. "Okay," she said. "I was going to do an international food themed day, but since we don't have the stuff we need, we're gonna have to improvise. This being winter, we're just coming off of the Christmas season, so, hey, why not give Christmas cookies one last hurrah? Today we'll be making gingerbread men. I've printed out the recipe and I'm gonna pass it out to you soon, but we've done a lot of baking in this class, so you should already know to get out your flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and please, Rouga, for the love of God, don't confuse them this time. You're also going to need margarine, an egg yolk--perfect time to practice that separation thing I taught you last time--and molasses. You'll just be making the dough today, since it needs to chill for a while before baking, and we can finish it tomorrow."

"I've got some cookie cutters here for you to use, as well as the sample cookies I baked while trying this recipe out at home. I--"

Alyssa froze, staring at the scene in front of her. While she was speaking, the students would have already begun taking out the materials she requested, setting them on their counters. The most observant of them would notice that a chill had followed Alyssa into the room--not odd considering the weather outside, but odd for the fact that even after the doors were fully shut, the cold temperature never left. It was weird, but nothing out of the ordinary for Hyakuji.

But when Alyssa pulled the sheet off the cookie tray she had brought in, things went crazy. The egg in Hana's hand exploded, erupting egg yolk and egg white everywhere. A chill wind began to move through the room, tearing into the ingredients, breaking bottles, and causing general chaos in the kitchen. Students that tried to reach out to stop it would feel almost the outline of a figure, not quite solid, but just tactile enough to be present, almost as if it were made out of water.

What the heck?!?

Celia was excited, supernatural crap happening in cooking class? AWESOME!

At this point, she made a guess.

"Ok, my guess is this is a poltergeist... and... wait... I get it now! We're supposed to make gingerbread men without the poltergeist messing it up! Right?" she guessed.
