Damon looked down into the river, sighing as he reflected on his past few days. He'd been getting a lot of practice in with his Rider creation...All of it live and too much of a risk. The first time, was out of necessity. He couldn't stand by as Nazca destroyed everything in town. And hey, that's what led to this Rider Form of his, after all.

Even still, though. There was the Dopant fight and the Museum incident. The Dopant fight went well, in the end, but he should have had better control over the situation. In the end it came down to a last second draw of luck, and pure luck. The museum fight went better, all things considered, but there he wasn't alone.

He created the belt buckle from the darkness around hi, the belt forming on his waist as he did so. Right now, he was going to practice with this. He'd still been training under his aunt, and gaining more skill with hand to hand combat, but he still wasn't as skilled as he could be. On top of that, he still needed to work out how these cards even WORKED.

"Henshin." Damon said simply, slotting the buckle into the belt, and transforming yet again into his unnamed rider form.

He drew one card from the buckle and slotted it into the Dragvisor on his arm, not even bothering to look. He was hoping for sword, since he nee-

[SWORD VENT]

...Huh.

...Either way. The same black and silver saber shot out from the sky, Damon grabbing it fairly easily. He began to go through basic, beginner sword exercises. Damon had made swords before, but they were all constructs, they lacked genuine weight. This one....Had weight, and he needed to practice. Swinging wildly wasn't going to stop most villains.

Ironically, during winter the Hyakuji woods appeared less menacing than they normally were, what with the deciduous trees having shed their leaves during the winter, and during this time of the year one could simply see the sky above by looking up. With less shadows and nooks and crannies for things to lurk around in, in Lavender's opinion, it was when the forest appeared at their most welcoming. The aeromancer stood in a clearing near the river, surrounded by trees with bare, snow-covered branches as she took a fighting stance, faint ribbon-like glowing lavender trails swirling around her arms as she took a deep breath, focusing her thoughts.

Dressed in gray urban camouflage combat trousers, black steel-toed combat boots and a black sports bra, and with her hair tied up in a high ponytail by a black hair ribbon, Lavender moved her arms in a circular motion as the wind picked up in intensity, starting with a breeze, then escalating into a cyclone with Lavender at its heart as the aeromancer lifted her hands - encased in a pair of black fingerless gloves - creating a miniature blizzard in the process as snow, pebbles, dead leaves and fallen branches were picked up and sucked into the sky, as well as snapping off smaller twigs from the nearby trees and drawing them into the maelstrom of white snow and hazy lavender-colored glows.

Lowering her hands, the winds quickly died down. Taking another deep breath as she closed her eyes, a swirling cocoon of wind surrounded the aeromancer as the laws of gravity caught up and the various bits and pieces of debris began to make the descent towards the earth. "Aerowhip!" And with this simple command, Lavender threw her arms out wide as numerous thread-like streams of compressed air emanated from the swirling cocoon of compressed air surrounding the aeromancer's body, streaking upwards and catching the larger pieces of wood as Lavender looked up, opening her eyes as she lifted her right hand in a wide-open palm, before her green eyes narrowed and suddenly clenching her fist and making a yanking motion with her arm, mimicking the action of tugging a chain as she willed her aerowhips's pressure to increase and over a small contact area.

And in a fraction of a heartbeat instead of simply acting like a whip, the aerowhips took on the properties of a razor floss like attack, slicing into - and through - their targets before Lavender relinquished her control over the wind, bowing her head with her arms by her side as a rain of chipped wood descended around her. Now that felt good, the aeromancer thought as she looked into the distance, in the direction of the elemancer castle. At least until she felt a familiar tingling sensation. Reaching into her pockets, the aeromancer retrived the Mentor's stone, glowing brightly and vibrating under a strong E'S reading from nearby. Gathering the winds, Lavender took to the air above the trees, towards the direction of the reading.

"Who goes there!?" Lavender called out to the black armored figure below who was swinging a black and silver sword around. Having never seen Damon's new Rider form, Lavender was unaware that said Rider was in fact a friend of hers as the aeromancer landed in front of the black armor-clad figure. "Identify yourself!" the aeromancer demanded as she raised her gloved fists, encased in a pair of swirling lavender-colored orbs of compressed air as she stared down at (unbeknownst to her) Damon, waiting for an answer to his identity and motives.

Damon turned his head as he heard a familiar voice. Lavender descended from the skies above, looking like she was ready to get into a fight with him. That's right....he...barely had told anyone about this new development, had he? Only Kaede, Hajime, and Bran really knew, everyone else was in the dark. Still, did he look THAT bad in this armor as to warrant this? ...Maybe. He actually had not seen this form in a mirror. Combine that with him avoiding cameras during the last 3 incidents, and it was no surprise Lavender might be wary of a completely new Kamen Rider just being in the forest.

"You can relax." Damon said, his voice familiar and unchanged despite the helmet. "It's just me." He said, putting his arms to his sides and pointing the blade away from Lavender. "Looks like you found what I've been up to as of late." He said, with a small laugh."[/color]

"You can relax." The black armored figure said, as Lavender right away recognized the voice as Damon's. "It's just me." Damon said as he pointed the blade away from the aeromancer - not that there was a need to do so, as Lavender was already at ease upon realizing the one in the armor was none other than Damon.

"So it's just you, I see," Lavender replied as the winds died down, the aeromancer resting her left hand on her hip and placing her right hand by her side. "What's with this Kamen Rider getup though?" the aeromancer wondered, walking towards Damon to get a better look at the armor. "And I suppose you're practicing around with it?" Lavender looked Damon up and down, paying particular scrutiny to the helmet and sword.

"Hehe....Well..." Damon said, scratching the back of his helmet as he tried to think of a good way to explain this. "I spent an all nighter studying the Ixa system to fight back against a Dopant that ruined a date with Kaede. The riders are the best things that counter them. I couldn't figure it out exactly, especially the power source, so I...modified the design." He said, before removing the Buckle from the belt, the belt vanishing and leaving him untransformed, swordless, and holding the buckle.

"I turned myself and my elemancy into the power supply, which...I guess did far more than I expected. The entire thing is unlike Ixa in most ways, and for whatever reason created CARDS as it's power source." He said, drawing a card from the buckle, holding it up to Lavender. He was hoping it would be a certain card, and...

He turned the card around. Once again, just the card he'd wanted.

"I just slot them into this...THING on my arm, and then weapons or shields or DRAGONS fly out of nowhere to me. Makes me wonder what Pyromancy or Aeromancy would've done..." He said, before returning the card to the buckle. "Anyways, I'm rambling. Yeah, I'm testing this out. I ended up getting wrangled into an incident or two, and I didn't do as well as I wanted. I can't endanger innocent lives by protecting them halfheartedly." He said, turning the buckle around towards himself and looking at it, going into deep thought.

"I spent an all nighter studying the Ixa system to fight back against a Dopant that ruined a date with Kaede. The riders are the best things that counter them. I couldn't figure it out exactly, especially the power source, so I...modified the design." That being said, the shadowmancer removed the buckle from his belt, canceling the transformation and reverting back to his normal state, the armor, belt and sword vanishing. Lavender nodded, having now understood how Damon came to obtain this new power.

"So this thing was modified from the Ixa System? That's interesting... and pretty ingenious on your part to be able to modify something like that," Lavender queried as she examined the buckle that Damon was holding. "Hmm, never fought one of 'em Dopants myself before... but from the sound of it they're darned formidable foes," the aeromancer mused as Damon continued his explanation.

"I turned myself and my elemancy into the power supply, which...I guess did far more than I expected. The entire thing is unlike Ixa in most ways, and for whatever reason created CARDS as it's power source." Damon said as he pulled a card out from the buckle, holding it up before turning it around for Lavender to see - a card with the image of a black dragon.

"I just slot them into this...THING on my arm, and then weapons or shields or DRAGONS fly out of nowhere to me. Makes me wonder what Pyromancy or Aeromancy would've done..." Damon said as he returned the card to the buckle. "Anyways, I'm rambling. Yeah, I'm testing this out. I ended up getting wrangled into an incident or two, and I didn't do as well as I wanted. I can't endanger innocent lives by protecting them halfheartedly." Lavender looked at the buckle as Damon stared at it in deep thought.

"You probably need to practice some more with it to get the hang of your new powers," Lavender remarked, adjusting her gloves. "All the power in the universe won't do you no good if you're not accustomed to fighting with them - and in the chaotic and unpredictable situation of a battlefield it's only too easy to 'choke' under all that pressure," Lavender said as she crossed her arms over her chest - recalling situations with individuals like Erin, Yumi and others - sure, they were talented individuals, but lacking in combat-readiness often makes it too easy for them to 'choke' under pressure when exposed to battle.

"So... Damon-kun; interested in giving this baby of yours a test-run to see where its limits lie?" Lavender asked, a grin forming on her face as she adjusted the ribbon that held her ponytail. before cracking her knuckles.

Damon nodded as Lavender mentioned the choking bit. He found now flaw in her reasonng, and practicing against a person WOULD do good. He knew Lavender well enough, she could handle fighting against this power no problem. "Sounds like a plan." He said as he reformed his belt, and slid the buckle into it, changing back to his rider form.

He slid down the DragVisor on his arm, before drawing a card, and slotting it into the visor. The cards had followed his draws so far, so this would be the real test. Once was a coincidence. Twice was luck. Three times, there was something worth noting.

[STRIKE VENT]

Just the card he wanted.

A metallic weapon in the shape of a Dragon's head descended from the sky above, latching onto Damon's right hand, as he pointed it at Lavender. "I think this time, I'll make the first move then." He said, giving her a short moment to acknowledge that before the dragon head unleashed an almost flaming sphere of dark energy right at her.

"Sounds like a plan." Damon replied as he reformed his belt, inserting the buckle and once more transforming into Rider form, sliding the DragVisor down his arm, drawing a card and slotting it into the visor.

"Then let's rock it like a hurricane!" Lavender commented as she raised her fists, a sudden squall enveloping the surrounding area as the aeromancer pulled the surrounding air towards their vicinity, as their ambiance took on a characteristic lavender-colored glow as a maelstrom blew around Lavender, stirring up loose snow and blowing it around like a miniature blizzard, with two swirling orbs of air condensing around her fists as the aeromancer took on a fighting stance, placing one foot forward, bent at the knee and another foot behind her straight out, with one fist forward and another fist close to her body. "Ready." Lavender announced after the fanfare.

And from the skies descended a weapon - something resembling a dragon's head - as it latched onto Damon's right arm, before pointing it at Lavender. "I think this time, I'll make the first move then." the shadow rider said before launching a blazing sphere of dark energy, resembling a black fireball, at Lavender as the aeromancer's eyes narrowed as her body tensed slightly in anticipation of an attack.

Lavender swiftly sidestepped, allowing the fireball to fly past her before pointing her left arm at Damon with her fingers splayed out. "Aerowhip," Lavender said plainly as the wind ran down the length of her arm in glowing lavender ribbon-like streams, a mass of them streaking towards Damon, aimed at his upper body and waist; if the shadowmancer failed to evade the attack, the aerowhips would wrap around his arms and torso, and with a tugging motion of her left arm the air flow would change as Lavender attempted to use her aerowhips to lift Damon into the air and send him flying towards her, while at the same time bringing her right foot up, leg bent at the knee and folded close to her chest before thrusting her foot out in a frontal kick aimed at the midsection!

Damon leaped to the side, tumbling as he did so, with surprising speed considered how slow Damon was normally. The armor seemed to boost his physical skills to an extent, leaving him faster than normal. He rose back up to his feet after the tumble, advancing more towards the side and taking cover behind a tree. Like this, he couldn't bother standing still like he normally would. Even if his weapon was ranged, it wasn't dynamic like his normal shadowmancy. Positioning was important, and just standing around was going to do absolutely nothing.

He moved out from his tree based cover, the eyes on the Dragon head mounted on his arm glowing red as he aimed it towards Lavender again, the head seeming to draw in the shadows of everything nearby for a moment, before letting out a spray of dark 'fire' in a cone in front of itself.

This would work for now. But whips....Long range was actually pretty good with whips. Not perfect, but it was better than any melee weapon he had. He just had the Sword Vent card, which meant...In a moment he was going to have to rush her to gain any clear advantage. He was going to have to hatch a plan, and fast.

"Not bad!" Lavender thought as Damon avoided the incoming aerowhips by leaping aside and landing in a tumble, a good dodge, she had to give him that, albeit not the most practical or efficient form of defensive action. Rolling back onto his feet, the shadowmancer took cover behind a tree as Lavender raised her right hand, the sphere of compressed air changing its form into that of a spinning crescent-shaped blade as the aeromancer contemplated briefly, before deciding against the idea. It was a training session, and she didn't want to cause any collateral damage that could be avoided. While physical combat hadn't been one of Damon's forte it appeared that his new rider gear had helped to compensate for his lack of physical prowess, moving with speed and dexterity that he could never accomplish in his normal form.

And this was when Damon darted out of his cover, the eyes of his dragon head-shaped weapon glowing a deep crimson - as Lavender noted with curiosity how the nearby shadows appear to be drawn into it for a moment - before spewing a cone of black fire in Lavender's direction. With a grunt the aeromancer gathered the air beneath her feet in a swirling disk, before launching herself three stories into the air with an aeromancy-assisted leap to avoid the black fire, before landing on the snow in a split-legged stance, her upper body bent forward and with her left hand on the ground and right arm stretched out parallel to the ground.

"You've got some pretty neat ranged attacks in this form, but similar to Nickle-san ranged combat happens to be something I'm good at," Lavender commented as she got to her feet, pulling up and adjusting her pants a little as she lifted her hands again and clenched her fists, once more forming two orbs of compressed air around them, looking at Damon with a sense of purpose as the shadow rider pulled out another card, as Lavender wondered what it was. "Let's see how this rider system of yours stack up in melee, shall we?" Lavender asked as she shifted her footwork and fists back into her fighting stance.

Lavender had dodged pretty well, by going up. That was going to be an issue. Any opponent with good aerial skills was going to be a pain. He threw off the dragon head as he drew another card, Lavender challenging him to get into Melee range.

Challenge accepted.

As she slid into her stand, Damon drew a second card, sliding down the visor and slotting in the first.

[SWORD VENT]

Almost as if on cue, the sword descender from the sky above towards Damon. Before it got to him though, he slid down the visor again and slotted in the next card, one he never got to use. He raised his right hand into the air as he grabbed the sword, the Dragvisor sounded out for a second time.

[GUARD VENT]

What appeared to be a tower shield in the form of a an eastern dragon's chest and front legs descended just like the sword, Damon catching it in his left hands, looking it over. "Just like on the card." He muttered more to himself than to Lavender. Either way.

He put his left foot out first, holding the shield out in front of him. Raising his right arm, he span the blade around, the blunt end of the saber facing Lavender. This was just training, no need to hack her limbs off like a psychopath. "Here I come!" The masked fighter said as he charged towards Lavender, making a pretty heavy swing towards her with his right arm, bringing it down more like an axe than a sword.

Lavender watched as Damon discarded his dragon-headed flamethrower, drawing another card as he did so and slotting it into his visor. The aeromancer picked up an anomaly in the air pressure - another object was descending; and this time it was a sword. Although even as the sword was in mid-fall Damon was busy slotting another card into his visor, summoning another piece of equipment - a tower shield that appear to be styled in the likeness of an Eastern dragon's forelegs and torso fell from the sky, with Damon equipping the shield on his left arm and taking the sword in his right hand, spinning it around.

"Here I come!" Damon said as he charged towards Lavender, sword and shield in hand, raising his sword high before bringing it down in a chopping motion - clearly more relying on brute force like as though he were swinging an axe, instead of any formal swordplay techniques. Already Lavender had telegraphed Damon's move - with the way he raised his sword and charged in, the aeromancer was already anticipating his move would be as such. As Damon brought his sword down, Lavender turned her body sideways to allow his sword to slide right past her torso by inches.

With a shout, Lavender swiveled around the waist and thrust her left hand towards Damon's chest, a swirling lavender-colored orb of air in the palm of her hand as her fingers curled slightly in a tiger paw position, gripping the ethereal-looking sphere in her hand, and as she thrust her hand out Lavender would straighten her fingers out in a classic open-hand strike, attempting to discharge a point-blank Gale Hammer into Damon's chest to send the shadow rider flying back from a high-speed blast of compressed air!

Damon had expected his first attack to be a botch. The counter attack was something he was expecting, and he smirked slightly under his draconic helmet, moving his left arm so that the shield would block the oncoming thrust from Lavender. What he didn't expect was the wind behind the attack. Damon was forced back by the blow, almost knocking him into the river, or rather, the icy surface that normally would be the river.

...Okay. So. Um. Yeah. This was something he was going to have to really put a lot of practice into. Just because he was a bit stronger and slightly better at hand to hand due to his aunt training him, didn't make up for the fact that he still had a long way to go. And he was going to learn by standing here and reflecting on that. SO now was a time to go in and keep at it.

He charged in again, going for a horizontal slash this time, keeping himself focused towards Lavender and watching for any further incoming attacks. Damon still fought more defensively than offensively, keeping himself at the furthest he could be and still slash at her. His shield was ready, his left arm almost twitching, as if he was waiting for a chance to block.

Damon had acted quickly enough for him to raise the shield as Lavender moved in with her counterattack, although apparently the shadow rider had failed to realize that the aeromancer wasn't intending to strike him, but to discharge a point-blank blast of compressed air at Damon, which despite being guarded sent him skidding backwards, stopping just shy of the frozen river; although if he hadn't blocked, the shadow rider might've very well been knocked onto his bum and sent skittering across the ice.

And Damon was at it again, charging once more towards Lavender as she studied his posture - the way he was running with the sword. "Horizontal slash," Lavender thought. Being well-versed in kenjutsu herself the aeromancer was familiar with the various stances involved in swordplay, and how which stances essentially transit into which moves. The aeromancer smirked as she noticed how Damon's left arm that held the shield was twitching, clearly anticipating a counterattack from the aeromancer, although instead of coming right in her face the shadow rider instead struck while keeping Lavender to the furthest limit of his weapon's reach, presumably to prevent the aeromancer from easily mounting a counterattack.

Lavender bent backwards like a limbo dancer, allowing Damon's blade to whiz past her chin by a fraction of an inch, before falling backwards to land in a supine position, the aeromancer feeling the chill touch of snow against her mostly-bared torso, before rolling along the ground to the right to put a distance between herself and Damon, swinging her right arm as she recovered into a half-kneeling position, sending a Saber Gust towards Damon... which split into many tiny wind blades in mid-flight, now more of a hail of wind shurikens - except that being set by Lavender to non-lethal mode they would hit more like a hail of blunt shurikens than sharp ones. Meaning to say, they would sting if they were to hit, but wouldn't do much, if any damage at all.

Lavender rolled away after limboing under the blade, Damon taking a step back, some distance between them now. She was agile, that much was for sure. As she rolled she made a slashing motion towards him, unleashing more wind attacks. Damon held up his shield, guarding himself with it as he kept most of his body safe, feeling the multiple impacts on his shield, but also some of it on his shoulders and lower legs.

On the plus side, Lavender had not made them sharp and the armor lessened the blow. On the other side, he was just hit. He was, technically, losing. The sword wasn't doing much good right now, the slices were too easy for her to dodge. One time was luck, two times were coincidence, three times....

Well, he just wouldn't let her get a third chance.

He broke into a run towards Lavender, raising his right arm again and keeping his left in front of him, seemingly going in for another heavy slash. Except...He wasn't stopping. His shield held out towards her, He was trying to charge her into a tree! If she had so much room to dodge and use her agility, he'd have to restrict her somehow, and what better way than to use the environment?
