Jonny realised that Youma had left through the door only after the fact, as the incident with Mariko's sudden and intense nosebleed had taken priority with just about everyone else in the room.
"Mariko!" Jonny put down Seth's present safely, before rushing over to the former sailor warrior's side. As Yuki tried to shake their new friend awake, Jonny had pulled up her sleeve to check her pulse...
And it was perfectly fine, with neither a falter or acceleration in the rhythm, in spite of how much blood had seemingly been lost at once.

"Uh... I think she's fine. Her pulse..." He muttered, momentarily taking a look over Mariko's body, watching its movements. "And her breathing, seem to be alright." The boy speedster scratched his head, utterly confused as to what might be going on here. Just how could this sort of thing happen? Did Mariko secretly have some power where she built up blood inside her body, and had to eventually discharge it, otherwise it exploded out all at once?
Wait, no, that was just silly - there had to be some kind of explanation... though, so long as she was fine, he supposed such an explanation could wait.

And then things took on an even arguably stranger turn of events, as a certain feline walked through the door, bearing between their two two sacks. Assuming Yuki had gone for the same idea as Jonny on that matter, then that meant they could only contain one thing.
As Yuki and Nora got to discussing the actual practicality of leaving it to the spirit to carry the gifts here, Jonny decided it was probably about time he saw whether or not Selene's gift actually fit. He rolled up his sleeve slightly to make room for the incredibly advanced watch, before he wrapped it around his wrist. Finding the right measurement for his arm, he strapped it steady into place, briefly turning the arm around so as to see it fit - and looked - perfectly alright.

He smiled, as the device, whilst perhaps a bit on the bulky side compared to most watches, otherwise fit pretty well.
Finally, Nora convinced Yuki to remove the artificial antlers that had been placed upon her head, clearly much more of a scrooge towards the holiday season than the rest of those present. However, Jonny quickly stole a glance at the photo Selene managed to take, leaning close to the corporate heiress for a better view.
"Oooh, how cute!" Selene commented with such delight, and Jonny nodded in approval.
"Its really not that bad." He said, briefly recalling Selene's words from earlier, as Yuki began to hand out the presents.

Just what did she mean by that? She had proven earlier that she didn't really...
He shook it off, instead redirecting his focus back towards the present that had been handed to him by Yuki, nodding again as Selene commented that the expenses spent didn't really matter in the true value of the present.
With that, Jonny opened up the gift, showing the same care as he had Selene's gift to him. It was a shoebox, but he ignored that as he pulled off the lid, figuring the true gift would be inside. He blinked twice, genuinely surprised, before he pulled out the gift - or rather, the two gifts.

"Well, guess I won't need this a while." With one fluid movement he removed the santa hat, deposting it into his pocket, and replaced it with a woolen Chullo. The style of hat was pretty popular nowadays, and Yuki's creation fit snugly over the boy's head. Shortly afterwards, a red and black scarf was wrapped around the boy's neck, and he grinned from ear to ear.
"Yuki, they're amazing! I can't believe you made them!" He expressed both amazement and surprise, before Selene made quite a wise suggestion.
"Come on, Jonny! Let's thank Yuki-chan in her very own special way! Yume-chan, Mariko-chan... if you please..."

Jonny got the idea easily enough from Selene's hints, and once someone had taken the camera phone from the girl, the boy would plant himself between the two girls, an arm over each of their shoulders, and he continued to grin.

"I'm fine... Really... When everything stops being swirly, I'll be totally okay..."

After Medical 101 from Yuki and Johnny, Mariko sat up before shaking her head a few times. That cleared up the swirly-eyes pretty quickly.

"Awww... I've got fangirl-nosebleed all over my clothes... Fortunately I can fix that without problem..."

Well, never mind the big blood pool made form the explosive nosebleed, a girl having ruined clothes? That was a big problem... Luckily, solutions were easy for that. Standing up, without any hint of anaemia or light-headedness from the nosebleed, Mariko pulled off an instant transformation via the invocation of flung clothing to replace her entire outfit. In the blink of an eye, her halter-neck top and her jeans were replaced a racer-back sky-blue top and black leggings decorated with sliver roses made of glitter. Compared to the fangirlism and nosebleeding, the instant outfit-change was probably handwaveable as "normal" in comparison... Though anyone trying to find the bloodied outfit she had been wearing an instant before, would be disappointed, in that it had vanished already.

"That's better..."

Yeah... All that blood... Totally ignoring it... Wait, was that a... Reindeer cat-like animal? Oh wait, those were just add-ons... But still... To Mariko right then, Nora = Cute...

"Awwwww... She's so Kawaii, Yuki-san... Mental note: Get a copy of that picture sent to my phone later..."

That last part probably should have been thoughts not vocalised, but the kawaii-ness of Reindeer-Nora was preventing that from happening... Though, a few moments later, Yuki pressed a present into her hand, silver with a brilliant red ribbon.

"Akane...? How fitting, given my middle name..."

Fitting indeed, since Mariko's middle name of "Akane" did indeed translate as "Brilliant Red", being her hair and the ribbon were both scarlet in colour. A lovely coincidence, that.

"Eh? Photo? I'll take it... I'm pretty good at taking photos..."

Coming over, present from Yuki not unwrapped just yet, Mariko carefully took Selene's phone and aimed the camera at the trio.

"Okay folks, smile for the camera."

With a "click" the photo was immortalized on the phone's screen, ready for album-saving at Selene's leisure.

"And there you go, all done."

With a smile, the teen offered the phone back to its owner with the same measure of care she had held it with moments before. (After all, who really wants to be heavy-handed with a new friend's things?)

Dangerously Cheesy.
Yuki caught herself clutching the edge of her dress in slight worry as Selene shook her box to try and figure out what was inside. She probably should have put the word FRAGILE on the outside, but that would've been rather tacky. Not to mention she was fairly certain that she took good care to wrap the contents of the present to prevent any breakage. Mariko was again very appreciative of the gift, and Yuki shook her head promptly with a smile to show that she was happy to include her...wait, wasn't she wearing something else a second ago?

Nora, on the other hand, was officially demoralized upon the oggling of her "cuteness" and the eternal picture taken of her moment of humiliation. Never did she have to endure such nonsense with any other charge, but perhaps that was one of the things that made Yuki different. She let out a sigh and took the higher road rather than resorting to cat-like actions that the humans would be familiar with to express anger or displeasure. And she supposed there were worse things in the world than being called cute.

They were given little warning before Yume came over and promptly licked both Yuki and her guardian, eliciting a reaction of shock from Nora and an unsure giggle from Yuki.

"This is a wonderful day!"

"I agree!"
Yuki replied in earnest.

The pink-haired girl watched in anticipation as Jonny got down to business, wasting no time in opening his present. She was glad she didn't spend the extra time and effort with elaborate wrapping and decor since it all ended up on the floor or in shreds anyway. The girl could feel her heart pounding in her chest with nervous angst, hoping that all the hard work she put into his gift would be worth it...

...and she couldn't tell! Was that muted happiness? Had her hours spent slaving over the yarn and instructional videos and books all been for nothing? Expecting an outburst of excitement akin to one a child would have getting the latest action figure was really something she couldn't ask for, although her own overreaction to things made this more difficult to accept. She still felt as if she were hanging by a thread, waiting for SOME kind of reaction... and did the hat even fit? It said "one size fits all" with the instructions but maybe she should've taken measurements...

Finally the grin she'd been waiting for made itself known after he finished dressing himself up, resulting in a beaming, smiling response of her own. A giant weight lifted off her shoulders and strangely enough, she felt like she'd just started breathing again.

"Yuki, they're amazing! I can't believe you made them!"

"I'm glad you like them! Sorry if the quality isn't very good. I've never made anything like that before," she explained to brush off any imperfections in the knitting. "They...they look really good on you!" she stammered with a concurring nod and slight tint to her cheeks, it being almost overwhelmingly fulfilling to see him proudly wearing something she made. She wondered to herself if it was a bit much... I mean, girls making lunch for a guy was a HUGE deal, and that was disposable. But going all-out and making winter accessories? Could that imply something..?

...Nah. These were the holidays, and they warranted special gifts. Christmas was different. At least in her mind, it was, but that didn't mean the gift meant anything different.

"Come on, Jonny! Let's thank Yuki-chan in her very own special way!"

"Eh?"

Before she knew it, she was enveloped in a group hug at Selene's insistence to show their gratitude for her gift giving, resulting in a happy giggle from the miko. Yuki found herself on a cloud of elation and the three of them stood close and posed for the camera phone held by Mariko. It was then that she realized she didn't own any group photos of them...well, not to mention Seth wasn't even there; hopefully he would show up later for another photo opportunity. Before the shutter snapped, she held up her hand in a victory pose, since every photo needed to have at least one person doing so. She really couldn't ask for more than to be here with some of her best friends and sharing the holidays, and she practically had to dam back the happy tears that began to form.

The girl was almost a bit reluctant to release the group hug, but she knew it was necessary if they were to proceed with the gift opening. After all, it was likely they weren't eating until that was done first.

"Alright! Who's next?"

"This is a wonderful day!" Thianbang commented, and much to Selene's amusement as the Chinese girl gave both Yuki and Nora an affectionate lick like a friendly cat.

"I agree!" The pink-haired girl replied in earnest, and come to think of it, the corporate heiress couldn't agree more. Back in her relatively sheltered days back in England, she probably wouldn't have thought twice about it. But her time in Hyakuji had showed her differently, with the various scrapes she had been through with loyal and dependable friends by her side made her appreciate what she used to take for granted. After all, there was really no telling what manner of misadventure they might get into tomorrow... so every wonderful moment like these was to be enjoyed to its fullest.

"Yuki, they're amazing! I can't believe you made them!" Jonny commented after unwrapping the present Yuki had for him, apparently made by her very own hand - a beautifully-knitted woolen Chullo, which the super speedster gladly swapped his Santa Hat out for.

"I'm glad you like them! Sorry if the quality isn't very good. I've never made anything like that before," the pink-haired girl replied, being her usual humble self. "They...they look really good on you!"

"Yuki-chan's right. And besides, hand-made presents are the best! I wish I had your kind of handicraft skills! They're really good for a first attempt..." the corporate heiress added as she admired her roommate's handiwork. Of course, then came the group hug photo-taking session, as Jonny placed himself between Yuki and Selene, with the two girls wrapping their arms around his shoulders.

"Okay folks, smile for the camera." Mariko said as she readied the camera, as everyone got into position.

"And three, two... ONE!" Selene put on her best smile as Yuki flashed a victory hand sign. And with a click from Mariko's camera, the moment was immortalized.

"And there you go, all done." the redhead commented with a smile as she carefully handed back Selene's phone after they broke off from the group hug, as the corporate heiress showed the photo to everyone else.

"Well, what do you think? Jonny? Yuki?" the English heiress asked, beaming at the group photo. "This is going up on my Facebook wall! I say, I wish Seth could be here though. Maybe we could do another group shot with him in it once Youma-san drags Seth-kun over here!" Selene continued with a smile, giggling at the thought of Youma returning to their party while grabbing Seth's hair in her hand.

"Alright! Who's next?" Yuki asked.

"Aye, that would be me!" Selene chimed in merrily as she undid the ribbon around her gift box, before carefully peeling away the wrapper to reveal the box underneath, holding her breath and closing her eyes as she lifted the lid, hoping to get a surprise. And then the corporate heiress opened her eyes, and they promptly sparkled at the sight she beheld. "Oh... my..." for a moment the corporate heiress was dumbstruck at the sight of four chinaware teacups, each with a floral pattern that matches one of the four seasons and matching chinaware saucers, filled with colorful soy wax - a most beautiful quartet of candle cups indeed.

"They're... beautiful, Yuki-chan! Just like you!" the corporate heiress giggled at the end of her compliment. "I already said it just now, but I'll say it again... this is just why handmade gifts are simply the best!" Selene said happily as she picked up the winter themed cup and saucer. "So, any activities anyone wants to suggest next?" Selene asked as she looked around, seeing if any one of her friends would suggest something fun to do.

"Thanks for this, Yuki, I loved it." Said Thianbang to Yuki after looking at her gift, and when Yuki asked the question on who's next, the dream witch suddenly remember something.
"Oh now I remember!" She exclaimed, "while I have no idea why we are giving gifts to each other, but I think this is really an awesome idea! Luckily Yume-Chan had suggested I get some gifts for everyone as well! If not I would have been a bit rude to be the onlyone not bringing anything." The witch explained as she also took out a bag of gifts and started handing everyone 2 gifts.
         Yes, 2 for each person.
"Here they are, one from me, and one from Yume-Chan, she asked me to help her bring her gifts for everyone here." She explained, "Come to think about it, no wonder she asked me to help her bring her gifts, she can't come here herself."

Thianbang didn't wrap it up because she has no idea she should.
Thianbang had gotten everyone 1 liter glass bottles filled with waters.
"I don't know what everyone likes, so I flew all the way to the natural spring at the foot of Mount Rokko in Kobe to bottle these, I hoped you will like them!" Basically, high class Mineral water that is usually used to brew super expensive Sake wine."Also, I got this specially for you, Selene-San." And gave Selene a packet of Assam Tea, "I got it from India, hope you like it."

On the other hand, Zhimeng's gifts were all wrapped up, if they opened their gifts, everyone will find a Sliver Coin 5 mm thick and 4 cm wide with her cheerfully smiling face and the words "Yume-Chan wishes you a Marry Christmas!" engraved on it in their gift boxes, except for Selene, Zhimeng got her a platinum coin instead. She's wearing a Santa Claus hat on her head.

"Let's start eating now!" was Thianbang's recommendation to Selene's question on what to do next.

It was appropriate that Mariko be the one to take their photo, even if it was not to be with the very camera that she had received for the season. Jonny gave his greatest possible grin as he heard the click from Selene's phone, before the former sailor warrior handed it back to its owner. Jonny leaned in over Selene's shoulder to get a good look of the photo, almost perfectly framed to fit the three of them in equally.
"Well, what do you think? Jonny? Yuki?" Jonny's fellow Briton asked her two friend, and the speedster gave a firm nod in response, which combined with smile, made his approval of the picture absolutely undeniable.

"This is going up on my Facebook wall! I say, I wish Seth could be here though. Maybe we could do another group shot with him in it once Youma-san drags Seth-kun over here!" Jonny gave a pretty big thumbs up to Selene's suggestion, since really, they damn well a group shot of the so called 'four musketeers' together as the group of friends they were. Though, if Seth was having fun at whatever party he was present for, then that was fine too, right?
"Alright! Who's next?" Yuki then asked, which as Jonny realised, was indeed a pretty valid question. They had gone through his presents, Selene's, and now Yuki's, so in theory... that left Mariko and Thianbang. Mariko however, had clearly not brought any such presents for all of them with her, given she was invited with little prior knowledge of the others, and lacked an aide that could bring them to her, as Yuki did.

Of course, Jonny may have outright misinterpreted the young girl's words - or Selene found an alternate meaning - as the corporate heiress took to opening the present she'd been given. Jonny stayed close enough to get a good luck, and let an audible 'oh' of awe as he beheld the chinaware.
"Why didn't I think of that?" He joked a little, but would certainly confess to being impressed by what Yuki had managed to get her hands on. Good chinaware - and particularly the genuine stuff - was often hard to come by, so to be able to gift such a thing... yeah, definitely a lot of effort had to have been done by Yuki on that one.

"They're... beautiful, Yuki-chan! Just like you!" Selene's comment however made Jonny pause a moment, trying to let the comment sink in a moment. Was it a general compliment, an evaluation of the choice befitting Yuki's behaviour, or...?
Jonny lowered his head slightly as he chastised himself, thinking that even if such were the case, where was it his place to judge such a thing?
So instead, he turned his attention to Thianbang momentarily, who whilst evidently not fully aware of the Christmas holiday and its traditions, managed to participate in them nonetheless.

"Well, this is certainly interesting." Jonny remarked as he opened up Thianbang's gift, having taken the bottle of mineral water and placed it inside one of the pockets of his coat. Silver coins - and specially engraved ones at that - were hardly a usual kind of gift, but in hindsight, 'usual' had been thrown out the window the moment the first piece of wrapping paper had been torn. So instead, he accepted it with a smile, pocketing the silver piece, before the suggestion of food was raised.
"Seems like an idea."

Later that night...

And thus there was much joy, laughter, and filled bellies as the night set in. It was not to be long before the midnight hour was upon them, and after eating, discussion, and allowing a certain friend of theirs to catch up on what they had missed - and get him to accept his gifts - it seemed that once the big day arrived, they'd all be ready to get in a good night's sleep.
"Just a few more minutes now..." Jonny was outside however, in spite of all the fun that had gone on within the building, and the sheer cold around him. He was nice and warm within the clothing he wore - both Santa themed and Yuki provided - as he looked out across Hyakuji, snow lightly falling from the heavns.

"Definitely the kind of way to end out the year..."
