Beware The Penguin Emperor
Kaizo had entered the recent Duel Monsters tournament just for the fun. He had been very excited when he found that there was an entire collection of cards based on Gradius, one of his personal favorites; which wasn't too hard seeing as his pesonal favorite list was over two thousand games long.

He went away walking around, looking for people to duel with. If his experience in videogames was anything to abide by, when a person had to search for an event, it was more often than not in some strange place. Therefore, he decided to goo with the creepiest possible pick, the cemetery.

It was still daytime, so there was more than a bit of light around, howeve that didn't prevent the place from being creepy. Kaizo stood still at the center looking for someone to duel with.

NICE DRIVE!
However, slowly this light began to fade. Kaizo couldn't be sure where it was coming from but a dark fog was starting to fill the cemetery until eventually everything was blotted out as if it were night time. What was going on? Before he had much time to stumble towards the exit a crash of lightning struck nearby charring the ground as a figure obscured by tattered black robes appeared.

"You're searching for an opponent aren't you?" the familiar voice asked in an imposing tone. Slowly, it raised a hand to the robe's hood and tore off the tattered clothes revealing none other than Supernatural Studies teacher Hiro Tsukasa; duel disk attached at his wrist. Smirking, he reached inside his overcoat and held forth his Locator Card.

"Everyone was so excited about this coming into Eldritch Influence and buying cards to get ready that their spirit rubbed off on me," Hiro explained as he pocketed the Locator Card and drew forth his deck inserting it into the duel disk, "I had to see what was so much fun about Duel Monster tournaments."

"So consider this a remedial lesson," he added with a confident laugh as another crash of lightning struck nearby. Clearly, the mage was abusing his own magic for effect to make everything that much more dramatic.

It seemed as if Kaizo had just conjured the wrath of some evil being, or at the very least a particularly good illusionist; as the sunlight was hiding from view, instead showing an image of darkened skies. Afterwards, a blast of lightning crashed or so it seemed. However the gamer's fears subsided as he realized that the person summoning all of that was his Supernatural Studies professor, Hiro Tsukasa coming closer.

Kaizo burst out laughing, it was not the type of laughter that would come from an irregular event that would make a person giggle, it was a catharsys for his fears suddenly being quelled by the appearance of a familiar figure; albeit one that didn't think twice before sending his students towards the Dark World.

The professor proposed a duel, which the student gladly accepted. They decided through a simple game of rock paper scissors, which Kaizo won. he drew his cards, his hand was good, not particularly remarkable, but not bad either. He placed a single "Boss Rush" on the field, and his ended.

"Now I hope you are prepared to face a few video game units professor."

"Hah interesting," Hiro mused with a grin as the Boss Rush card appeared before Kaizo, "Gradius, right? I've played the game myself a few times. However, I hope you've been studying some between playing video games because this lesson is going to hurt! I DRAW!" Shouting this, Hiro drew one card from his deck and stared at it slowly before a smirk worked across his face. Placing the card in his hand he looked over the situation slowly. It was a nice start, but the next few draws would decide the ultimate strength of his hand.

"Alright! Be a bright student and keep up with me!" Hiro shouted with excitement, "Since my class has been learning about devil summoning... I'll start by calling one of my own. I'll summon Bronn the Mad King of Dark World!" As he sat the card on his duel disk black smog bellowed in front of him and then materialized into the monster itself. Gazing across the field towards Kaizo, Bronn laughed wickedly.

"Then, since you only have Boss Rush on the field," Hiro continued in a commanding tone, "I'll have Bronn attack you directly for 1800 points of damage!" Cackling, Bronn rushed across the field towards Kaizo blasting him with dark energy.

Hiro: 8000
Kaizo: 6200

"Now," Hiro continued taking on the tone he usually used when teaching class, "Since Bronn dealt damage to your life points directly... I get to utilize his effect and discard one card from my hand. I'll discard Snoww, Unlight of Dark World." For a split second the visage of Snoww appeared beside Hiro before blowing apart as he inserted the card into the graveyard.

"This triggers Snoww's effect," Hiro added with a confident laugh, "I can search my deck for any card with Dark World in the name and add it to my hand." Slowly, the teacher sorted through his deck and finally drew a magic card and showed it to Kaizo. Afterwards he shuffled the deck and put it back into place.

"Now," Hiro continued playing out the combo to its finish, "I'll play the card I just searched. The Gates of Dark World!" As he inserted the card into the field spell slot of his duel disk energy crackled behind him until a cyclopean doorway with demonic designs materialized behind him. It was partially cracked open and it seemed as if evil energy exuded from within.

"Having done all that," Hiro let out a soft sigh, "I'll set one face down card and then end my turn." The image of a face down card materialized before Hiro and he held out a hand waving for Kaizo to continue with his. Meanwhile, Bronn remained on the field staring menacingly towards Kaizo.
