Follow me for madness and fun!!!!

Ryo and Sho reached the Tower with surprising ease. "They really don't care for security here,"Ryo said, slightly confused at such easy access. He walked inside and Sho followed in behind him. They could hear the chanting of some strange incantation. "Any clue what the voices are saying?"Sho asked Ryo. Terion spoke through him. "If my memory of demonic tongues serves me right, it means something to the effect of, 'In his house at R'lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming.' "So he is still dead right now,"Sho said. "Possibly,"Ryo said. "Doubtfully,"Terion said. |

"... You know, this noise is really getting on my nerves," Otoha sighed as she stopped behind Ryo. "Let's see if I can't mute that thing a bit." For once, Otoha would actually be forced to shut up in lieu of keeping her friends from possibly going insane from the chanting. "Ambient sound detected, recorded, flipping 180 degrees..." Otoha mumbled to herself. Timing her voice at the same time as the chanting, she began to do the same... "ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn..." As she continued to speak, the ambient voices began to... lose their intensity. Otoha simply repeated the lines being spoken, but changed her voice to be 180 degrees out of phase with their voices, cancelling the noise! It would be most effective to those immediately surrounding Otoha in a five meter radius. "We should keep going," Hotaru said as she held on to Otoha, still feeling weakened from the effects from earlier. Hopefully Otoha's noise cancelling ability worked long enough to keep them safe until they reached the top. |

Damon advanced forward, hearing the noises, before Otoha thankfully cancelled it out...somehow. "Thanks. That's a load off my mind." He said before stopping for a moment and looking around to check and see if everyone was there. And of course, that wasn't the case. He looked to the sky and saw Chizu start to become overwhelmed by...THINGS. He held both of his hands together, a sphere of darkness and light forming in them, before calling out to her using the Arcadia link, as well as the other airborne girl. Both of you, down here, right now! The ground's the safest path right now! He sent to them both, before launching the sphere towards the beasts trying to surround Chizu, the sphere exploding in a black and white burst, hopefully taking down enough for the girl to have a path back down to the ground. Elemancy Gauge: 4/16 (+2 -6) ~*~*~*~ Meglumar sighed with immense relief as Otoha downed out some of the noise. Even if it was just a little, it meant less of that god-accursed noise. The Half-Nymph turned his head as he saw Damon stand still and fire into the air, before looking up and seeing why. It looked like the other girl was in about as bad a situation. As much as he hated wasting one of his spells....Well, people were people. He aimed his hand towards the other airborne girl and fired off one of his Pyroblasts, hoping to hit a Nightgaunt and cause a fiery explosion to clear a path for her as well. He could hope, right? |

"Thank you very much...that absurd chanting was getting annoying." Shad said calmly, glad that the noise had been drowned out by Otoha's efforts. He too was surprised by the lack of security, but knew that his soul weapon will soon draw his foes in like a moth to a flame, disrupting the ritual if need be. "All the same, we best find the stairway and kill Squidhead before he wakes up and puts us into a nightmarish world of fear." He sighed briefly, rechecking the metal cubes in his left side pocket with his open hand as he looked around the slimy, green area for a staircase. 'What could be the connection between Grigori Efymovich Novykh (Rasputin) and Cthulhu, I wonder...' He thought, before realizing something else was a bit off. "Also,....umm, Sir Excalibur? Are you okay? You've been a bit quiet, so if you need anything, just ask and I'll get it." Shad said calmly to his companion (who was still riding on his large hat). He hoped that the roaring hadn't given Excalibur a nasty headache as well, since it might disrupt his sword form after transforming. Edited by Super Hurricane, Dec 17 2011, 01:51 AM.

Why is everyone stopping? Go on, enter, that's what HE'S doing. "OUT OF MY WAY!!!" Kind of surprising that he could still warn others that he's coming through, but perhaps just rushing in without any consideration of whatever might be waiting for them inside had enough insanity in itself. No one could stop him at this point, he had let his own destructive nature take control of his actions and decisions. His predetermined viral function had manifested in the form of a rampaging man who wants to do nothing but destroy. What the hell is he doing? What? Isn't it natural for metavirus V to be a killer? Everyone made it that way, and they made sure the metavirus worked exactly how they wanted it to work. Right now, it's not exactly working however they expected V to work, but he got his principle right. Destroy everything, that's the virus's main directive. Apparently the Cultists and the Deep Ones aren't good enough for him. He's still full to the brim of maniacal killer intent. Unable to stop himself, the only thing he could cry out for was "MORE!!!" He didn't like this. |

"Well that was unfortunate." Lucidus commented as he saw his arrows miss the mark of Dagon's eye. However he had been fairly damaged by the rest of them so it was okay because enough damage was dealt to him. However Lucidus watched in shock as Dagon regenerated the wounds at a ridiculous pace. Honestly how would it be possible to kill something that healed itself so quickly. This opponent was no pushover, Lucidus got over confident thinking that it would go down so easily. Lucidus got ready for the incoming blow and braced himself. He faintly heard the voice speaking but couldn't identify where it was coming from. What suprised him the most was the fact that the blow he was waiting for never came. He looked towards a newcomer whom had arrived. He not only managed to block the giant Dagon but also pushed Dagon straight onto his back. Lucidus stared in awestruck as the newcomer who was actually the true form of Durandal from what he had gathered explained why he just entered his true form. The tide had turned again. "Well then, now that we have the perfect defense I think we should show some offense against this creature." Lucidus said as he gestured towards Dagon. Now they had the perfect defense on Arcadia's side. That was good it meant they had a better chance at staying alive against such strong enemies. Lucidus didn't have time to ponder however as the monsterous Dagon began rising to his feet again. Lucidus decided to try and deal as much damage as possible to the creature before it could regenerate hopefully. Lucidus took a breath and calmed himself hearing the noise of the battle around him, he drew his bow and focused a lot of energy into this next arrow. It was a larger arrow then normal it seemed much like a bolt from an arbalest, as Lucidus fired he muttered "Uranicus Sparsum Telum." as the arrow flew through the air eventually it shattered turning into 50 arrows that flew towards Dagon's head. It seemed like going for his head would be the most ideal option in this point, it helped decrease the chance of friendly fire and hopefully it would be more damaging. At least thats what Lucidus was hoping for. Lucidus had put more energy then usual behind these arrows in the hope that they would be more effective against the creature. |

With a torrent of sickening green ichor exploding from Dagon's chest in her wake, Lavender's focused attack punched right through the giant fish-man's chest, stopping in midair as Dagon slumped forward, clearly feeling the gaping hole in his chest, made larger as Maneki's ki blasts exploded against it. The battle was far from over, what with Cthulhu still in the process of awakening, but to deal with a mid-boss so easily was a cause to exult as the aeromancer spun around to pump her right fist into the air with her arm bent at a right angle, while slapping her left hand against the bicep of her right arm in a move known to the French as a bras de honneur, or "Arm of Honor" - an obscene gesture, but strangely fitting in context as a gesture of "up yours, dory dick!" "Lavender-chan nice!" "Thank you!" Lavender grinned broadly at Hiro's remark; although her joy was short-lived as the giant fish-man began to rise to his feet, the hole in its chest regenerating after what appeared to be a mortal wound. "Bloody hell..." the aeromancer hissed in disbelief - do all of Cthulhu's minions possess healing factor? She'd recalled how the starspawn regenerated from repeated headshots and how Rasputin appeared virtually unkillable. This was proving to be annoying to say the least. "We need to do something about that guy's healing factor, otherwise we could go at this forever!" the aeromancer said to no one in particular. Lavender cocked back her fist that was equipped with Revolver Knuckle, a fierce lavender-colored cyclone surrounding her fist as the aeromancer took to the air in a swirling cocoon of wind, taking a deep breath before diving, descending towards Dagon's head like a comet as the the winds picked up in intensity around Lavender, concentrating around her soul weapon as the aeromancer emptied her MP7A1's magazine on her way down, looking to fill Dagon's head with lead before caving his skull in! "That's strange... it's almost as if we're being invited in," Selene mused as she approached the tower in the center of the island along with those tasked to storm the fort. After having fought their way through frenzied cultists and their deep one compatriots, the place that was supposedly Cthulhu's throne was surprisingly unguarded - but this lack of security was what worried the corporate heiress. Either they weren't expecting them to be able to fight their way to the tower, or they were planning a nasty surprise, and the forces they'd encountered on the shores were but the tip of the iceberg, while Cthulhu's strongest minions were gathered within, waiting for the final showdown... Either way, they weren't going to get any answers by simply standing around, and from within the tower a guttural chanting could be heard, repeating over and over again, "ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn". Which from what Selene could understand from obscure texts she'd come across in various arcane libraries it meant "In his house at R'lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming." The corporate heiress tightened her fists, knowing that any moment Cthulhu could awaken - they would need to make haste! "Nicely-done, Otoha-chan," the English heiress commented as Otoha muted out the chanting. Nodding as she looked at Selene, the Valkyrie unsheathed her offhand blade, switching to her dual-wielding style as the corporate heiress followed Otoha and Hotaru with her Valkyrie by her side as she began her ascent up the tower... |

"Don't worry Star! Sensei will be fine with me here!" Ikki yelled out to his friend, and co-worker as she went ahead. He meant what he said, he would stand by Hiro's side, and all of arcadia in this battle, he would prove to himself that this is where he belonged, that this was his new home, his new family, and he would see to it that he protected all of them. Ikki let out a grunt as he severed the hand of the Dragon creature, watching as the monster howled in pain. Before Ikki could react the entire team got into the act, trying to crush the creature before it could react. "That's what I'm talking about! No way this thing can survive that!" Ikki yelled out as Dragon came back into view fully healed. "You have got to be kidding me?!" Ikki yelled as he gripped Durandal tighter in his hands, only to feel power burst from the sword. As the sword began to glow it flew from his hands, taking on its true form. "Wow! I love the things arcadia has access to!" Ikki said as he watched Durandal block the attack, and seem to throw Dragon off balance, the young boy's face lit up as he listened to the words of the sword. This was their moment, they would have to defeat this thing to survive, and save the world, and Ikki would let nothing stand in his way of that. As Durandal took its sword form again, Ikki griped the sword tightly as he looked forward. "No running away...we only move forward...this is the path I chose when I came along for this mission. Durandal...lend me your power!" Ikki yelled as he charged dragon again, holding Durandal safely at his side, as he closed the distance he swung the sword, trying to sever the creature's body in two, and separate the legs from the rest of its body. |

Joining the others inside the tower base proper, Hajime and the others were welcomed with the unearthly chant of what seems to be a summoning aria repeated over and over by disembodied voices from somewhere. Just listening to them gave Hajime the chills that made the hair on the back of his neck stand on ends even more rigid than possible. Luckily for him and the others, Otoha, being having the strange ability to muffle the disembodied voices ever so softly that whatever magic it has on some of their mortal psyche was negated though not entirely. Though having her recite the profane lines by herself to negate some of the chant and its effect was disturbing in its own way, and one thing Hajime wishes she doesn’t keep up long for who knows what effects might there be just speaking those lines itself than just listening to them. Once the noise was sort of taken of in a way for them for now, Hajime silently followed the rest of the group’s ascent up the tower alongside the Kagura sisters, now switching his gunblades to their gun modes, ready to fire on anything that comes across their way to stop them at a hair trigger. “Keep your eyes peeled everyone…” Hajime warned, probably redundantly as who wasn’t keeping an eye out for danger… |

Zhimeng watches as part of the team rushed towards the Tower. "If there's where the big boss is, it has to be the most dangerous. Ok, I am staying out here." She thought to herself, as she runs around, looking for a safe spot. Soon enough, she found a good place, and so she kept her Soul Weapon, took out her gun and take aim at the Dagon, firing a shot at it's head from the side, hoping to at least to cause some distraction. Meanwhile, someone had asked Thianbang and Chizu to return to the ground "Got it!" Thianbang responded, "These things are getting rather troublesome, I must say." Said the girl as she flies around, trying to avoid the Nightgaunts. "Chizu-Kun~" She called out to the other flying girl, "You go down first, I will cover you, don't worry about me, my attacks might be weak but I can fly really fast and I have shield, and besides, I'm a witch, the sky is my home arena!" The witch explained as she flies towards the other girl, shooting at the Nightgaunts near her. |

Chizu muttered a curse under her breath, glancing at the crimson whirlwind around her. The Nightgaunts just kept coming, no matter how many of them she cut down, and just like in a fan made of metal, the more creatures it killed, the duller its edge got. She heard people shout for her to get down. That would probably be the best course of action right now, but there was no telling whether or not the swarm would follow her. Still, she couldn't remain here at the center of the swarm. The aeromancer scowled, making her decision. "Thianbang, outta the way!" she yelled through the middle of the swarm and the Arcadia link, extending her hands outwards. Chizu pulled the air from the fan back towards herself, releasing her hold on it for one second and allowing the swarm to push inwards, towards her. Before any of them could touch her, though, the aeromancer raised her hands over her head, twisting the air around her into a strong, vertical twister. The howling winds surrounded her, protecting her from the swarm and throwing them back somewhat. She held out her hand, forming a sphere of compressed air in the center of her palm. Chizu let out a shout of effort and thrust her palm into the twister, shaping the air into blades of wind. The blades moved through the twister, shooting out into the sky in random directions and striking individual members of the swarm. It wasn't enough to get them off her back entirely, but the disruption was enough to create a small, temporary, pocket of room. Enough to get out of the middle of the swarm. She grabbed the air back to herself and pushed down, shooting out of the bottom of the swarm and diving towards the ground. The force of the push would recoil back against the swarm, hopefully propelling them further into the air. She touched down a short distance from the group, to keep them away from the rest of Arcadia just in case the swarm intended to follow her to the ground. Chizu landed on her feet, looking up to see what they would do. If the swarm would not pursue her, Chizu would run to the Tower to catch up with the other Persona users, but if they did pursue, she intended to stand her ground and resume the fight. "I agree with Selene-chan...it's a little too easy," said Star, stepping into the Tower with the rest of the group. She hugged her arms close to herself and shivered at the sound of the chanting coming from within. Otoha had managed to dull the noise, but the meaning was clear. They would be in serious trouble if they didn't move fast. Star clenched her fists to try and keep them from shaking, glancing around at the others. This probably wasn't one of the smartest things she had ever done. But...well, nobody told her she had to stay in Arcadia after the Heartless left. Star nodded at the others, reforming her light blade and making sure that it was solid. The time for hesitation was past. "Let's go..." she said, following them into the Tower. |

Bocky whistled at the damage everyones attacks caused to Dagon. He wad about to say 'well that was too easy' but before he did he noticed that Dagon was healing up at a very fast rate.'well I wonder if this guys is going to be able to regenerate its head. He began to gather his ki up and cupped his hands "Kaaaaa--Meeeeee--Haaaaaa--Meeeeeeee" At this point his ki had began to gather in his cupped hands and was giving off a blue light. When he finished gather his ki he gave out a massive yell of HAAAAAAA!" he pointed his cupped hands at outward, toward Dagon, and unleashed the energy blast at its neck. ki used 50 Ki left 140 |

Adam watched as Dagon was hammered the stream of attacks from him and his allies. Their was no time however to reveal in this for just as quickly as the beast went down it was getting back up, and healing no less. “Damn pressisent isn’t he.. reminds me of my self when trying to get a ladies number. ” Adam joked as Dagon continued to stand. “Now that I think about it, Hey lavender when do you think I can get your phone number.” Adam yelled up at Lavender as she zipped around. “brother focuse we have a monster to kill now is not the time to be hitting on team members. We don’t want a repeat of what happened at the mansion… cause if you start up I will take control…” Adam frowned for a second, ” Amy you no fun” He said as he looked up at Dagon who was about to attack. Wait what its attacking already? Adam thought as a worried look came to Adam face as he started to back up only to trip on a rock and fall backwards. “eep..” To Adam’s surpise he did not end up as a pancake like he he thought he would thanks to the timely transformation of Durandal to its true form. Adam let out a slight laugh to himself. “This group got some nice toys. Ok Amy your right now is not the time for jokes.” Adam said as he got to his feet. “”Father who are in Heave, I ask you for the power to protect those without strength and strike down all evil with in my sight. Amen, Sword mode.” Adam’s voice again took on an unworldly tone as the reached out his hand saying his chant. In as flash a long majestic broad sword appeared before him. Adam quickly took hold of the hilt with both hands and readied him self. “Let keep this guy off balance.” Adam yelled as he rushed down toward Dagon’s legs. Drawing closer Adam quickly lashed out with his sword releasing and blade of holy energy from his sword targeting Dagon’s ankles. |

NICE DRIVE!
|
[Vs. Dagon] "Well said, Lucidus," Hiro commented as he watched the boy let forth a massive volley of arrows. Arrow after arrow pelted Dagon's head and the beast roared in pain from the damage seeming to stagger back having been flurried with far too many arrows. However, all the while the regenerative effect the servants of Cthulhu seemed to boast was at its work. Even moments after the arrows embedded themselves, one could see some were popping out as the wounds healed themselves. However, before this finished Lavender descended firing shot after shot before impacting Dagon's skull with her Revolver Knuckle. A loud thunderous crack echoed across the island as Dagon's skull broke and began to cave in sending a stream of green blood spraying into the air. At the same moment, Ikki slashed into one of the beasts legs, joined by Adam taking on the other with his blade, both severing their targets and forcing it to collapse down as it roared in defeat. As it fell, Bocky unleashed his kamehameha only adding to the damage as the ki-blast hit square on Dagon's neck. However once again, though slower this time, Dagon began to slowly regenerate. "You sure are a persistent bastard. Even though my Arcadia is clearly stronger you'll just keep coming back until we've exhausted ourselves and can't put up a fight. I WON'T ALLOW IT!!," Hiro spoke in anger watching all of the Fire Division's hard work being undone, "Darkness beyond the twilight, crimson beyond blood that flows. Buried in the flow of time, in your great name here I make a vow to darkness. To the fools who stand before us, merge thine strength and mine to deliver destruction to all equally!" "DRAGON SLAVE!!!" Arcadia's Leader roared as a powerful blast of magical energy exploded forth enveloping the crippled Dagon. It let out another desperate roar as the very ground it sat on began to be destroyed and blast chunks of rock and debris everywhere. It seemed, with its already weakened state, Hiro was hoping to leave nothing left of Dagon to regenerate in the first place. As the dust settled it seemed the plan had worked. However, suddenly another rumble came from the island's center and all those present would feel a surge of pain in their head as if a drill was boring into their brain. Somehow, from nothingness, Dagon had begun regenerating again. It was as if some other force was willing it to be so. Hiro clutched his head in desperation as he stumbled back. In Ikki's grasp, Durandal began to glow once more and tore itself free as it resumed its True Form. "It's very likely," Durandal spoke in a regal tone, "That Dagon will continue to regenerate as long as Cthulhu's influence remains." Slowly, Durandal raised the massive shield from his back and held it before him triumphantly. "You should all go on ahead," Durandal spoke with a determined air to his voice, "Stopping Cthulhu will end everything. I'll keep this one busy. No foe can overcome Durandal's defense!" "You heard him," Hiro spoke with an exasperated sigh, "Let's re-group with the others..." His words trailed off as Hiro banished his soul weapon and ran on past the slowly reforming Dagon. As much as he didn't want to admit it, Durandal's words were true. However, he also knew that Durandal would tire eventually. What happened to these legendary weapons Arcadia had been using if they become injured while in their true form? Could they die? Hiro suddenly found himself feeling guilty. All this time he had only considered them simply as weapons; Durandal's decision of sacrifice shed a new light on the situation. [The Sky] In the air the combined effect of Damon and Meglumar's ground support of a sphere of darkness and a pyroblast mixed with Chizu and Thiabang's own efforts managed to carve a large enough opening for both girls to make their escape from the hiddeous Nightgaunts and land on the ground. Initially, the black beasts kept up their pursuit but as they reached closer to the ground the flock trailed off and returned to the air. It seemed they were only present as a deterrent from using the air as means to reach the tower faster. Forced to the ground, Chizu and Thiabang headed on to join the others.... [The Tower] As the rest of the Fire Division entered the tower at the center of the island, Otoha worked to negate the maddening effect of the cultists' chanting. It seemed to work for the time being. However, just being within the tower seemed to make everyone feel uneasy. As they began to ascend to the source of the voices another deep roar cried out. And then something terrible happened. All at once the tower began to shake and the ground floor below began to crack and split apart. Something hideous was rising up from the depths of the island just below the tower. At the top of the tower the chanting had stopped and cackling laughter was now resounding through the air. Their goal had been completed. Cthulhu was rising and destroying the very tower they were now in. The cultists at the top cared little for the danger or their pending deaths; Cthulhu had awakened. From below Cthulhu slowly rose tearing through the tower itself breaking it apart and essentially forcing it to explode out in all directions sending stone and people flying. This, of course, unfortunately included the members of Arcadia that had already infiltrated the tower. Unless any had taken any fancy actions before Cthulhu's ascent began they would find themselves flying through the skies over the island now with an unpleasant drop in their future. As for Chizu, Thiabang and the group who had faced Dagon that were trailing shortly behind them. Cthulhu was now in full view though obscured slightly from a hazy smoke cloud of the ruined tower; it seemed as if it were still gathering itself and the situation at hand before acting. "Don't stare directly at it," Hiro called out ahead so that those with him and the other two could hear, "If the legends are true then fully gazing upon his form will render you insane!" Edited by Hiro_Tsukasa, Jan 6 2012, 02:07 AM.

All the attacks managed to hit Dagon, if that didn't put the beast down then Lucidus didn't know what would. After all the creature had been reduced to nothingness, he was pretty sure that the creatures damned body didn't have a cell left over. However what Lucidus thought was impossible began to occur before his very eyes. Lucidus was shocked he couldn't believe what he was seeing. After all that damage to it, Dagon just regenerated and got straight back up. Durandal then took his true form again and began to suggest that Dagon would keep regenerating untill Cthulu was killed. He told the rest of the Arcadians there to continue on while he held off Dagon. Hiro agreed with the weapon's opinion. Before he ran off to join the others Lucidus shouted "You better not die Durandal." He quickly continued off to join the others. It was then that another mental attack kicked in, this one was worse than the others. Lucidus fell to his knees in pain it felt like his head would literally explode and second now. Slowly though he began to calm himself and ignore the pain to the best of his abilities. He managed to pick himself up off of the ground as he noticed the tower ahead of them breaking apart. It was then that Lucidus noticed what was breaking the tower apart. It was Cthulu himself, this was an extremely bad situation, some of the stronger members of Arcadia were in the tower when it was being torn apart. Lucidus heard what Hiro had said so he closed one eye when looking towards Cthulu, hopefully that meant that he wouldn't go insane. Lucidus for one liked his sanity very much so. Despite how much his eye wanted to open Lucidus made sure that it was kept well and truly closed. He aimed his bow towards Cthulu and fired off several arrows towards the creature hoping to test it's more then likely absurd powers. Edited by Shadies, Jan 11 2012, 11:43 PM.
