"Get out of my way!!" Ikki Sanjiro yelled as he used Durandal to slice through the drones that stood in arcadia's way to the tower, while the creatures seemed powerful at first glance, they where quite easy to defeat. Ikki sighed as he sliced through the last one that stood in his way, before he rested the blade of the heavy sword on the ground to catch his breath. "That's the last of them...they aren't that stro-GAHHH!!" Ikki was interrupted as his head began to throb with an immense pain as another growl howled through the landscape. Ikki gripped his head, letting go of Durandal as he tried to fight back the pain. But as his head pain began to die down, suddenly a creature known as Dragon appeared. Ikki looked on in disbelief as he watched the creature swing at the group, the young male quickly reached for Durandal, preparing to block the blow, but before he could act, Hiro blocked the creatures attack. Ikki smiled slightly as he watched Hiro holding Dragon off with his soul weapon. Hiro then quickly gave the orders, for some to go on ahead while some stayed back to help him. "I'm staying by your side sensei!" And without another word the young boy was off towards Dragon as he charged he raised Durandal, and swung it with great force as he tried to sever the hand of the beast, and at least give Hiro some room to think of the groups next course of action. Ikki glared right into the eyes of the creature, he wasn't going to die here, he had to much to fight for, friends, family, Tarin, they all meant so much to him, he couldn't afford to have any of that taken from him, and on this night he would assure that they all had a safe world to live within. |

Adam had come along with the rest of Arcadia to R'lyeh To aid in stopping Cthulhu from waking and taking control of this world. Despite his faults Adam was not one to run from such evil and this seemed to be one of the greatness evils of them all at least for now. Making his way with the rest of fire division towards the central tower only to be met with sort of psychic attack in the form a a roar that echoed in Adam’s head. ”Ah..’ Adam said as he paused for the moment shaking his head. Was this what Hiro and the others had before? Adam was frozen there as the attack tried to mess with his head trying to induce terror and fear. A voice shock Adam from his frozen state bring him back to the here and now, it was a voice with in his own head it was Amy. ~Brother you must fight through it this is not the time to freeze up look at the others.~ Looking around Adam could see the others on the team now fighting cultist turned human fish monster. Shaking his head he smirked, “Thanks Amy.” ~ Its ok, Ill do what I can to guard against that attack you focus on fighting, we can trade out if needed.~ Amy said in his head. Before Adam could respond there was another roar this time however Adam did not let the pain and terror phase him much like last time thanks to Amy. The roar was followed by the ground began to shake and a massive creature emerging from it. Adam blinked a little as he looked at the hulking monster through his good eye. ”DAMN THEY GROW THEM BIG HERE… Adam said as he heard one of the fish monsters call this thing Dagon. ” Dagon huh. What a shitty name for such an ugly guy.” Adam joked as he readied him self. Before Adam had a chance to say one of his prayers the monster was already attacking with its massive claw. It was fast, Adam ready himself to evade but there was no need as Hiro managed to stop the creature attack. Letting out a sigh of relief Adam rushed forward at full bore not wasting time to hear what Hiro’s order were. ”Father who are in heaven , I ask you for the light of your grace to banish darkness from this earth in your name. “ Adam’s voice echoed loudly as if on a mega phone as he charged forward saying his prayer. Coming to a stop halfway between hiro and Dagon at about the where the creators elbow was. Adam right hand came up as he stop and using his middle finger and pointer finger he traced the sign of a cross in front of him as he finished the prayer. “Ahem!!!” Adam hand came to rest in the center of the cross he had traced in the air his fingers still pointing forward as if point at Dagon. All a once a magical circle appeared beneath Adam and stretched out to encompass both Hiro and Dagon. The Circle glowed with a brilliant white light just before all with in the diameter of the circle found them self-encompassed in a pillar of light that suddenly shot up in to the sky from the circle. The light was holy purification energy meant to destroy demon and monster while purify those tainted with evil. Edited by Draco, Dec 6 2011, 09:30 PM.

The Middleman (stubborn, yet relaxed)
|
"Go for the eyes!" Shad yelled briefly over the screaming and shouting of the masses, awhile smacking downwards and bashing in a human cultist's left leg, causing a guttural groan that sounded more animal than human. Of course, the sudden wave of pain swept over him, resulting in a near-numbing headache which he countered with head pressure to the cranium. 'Geez! Who the heck is doing that?' Then came this so-called Father Dagon, whom Shad could only assume was buried alive for many, many centuries and only chose now to pop up from the ground. Unless of course, there was a sub-level under the floor that Dagon could live under at full height and move around freely. Regardless, Shad accepted the mission that Hiro had given him, running around the spiked arm that Hiro held back before swiping his free hand across his face. "I hope you're listening, Dagon. Your army is about to run right over you as if you didn't exist. Catch me if you can..." He said calmly, bypassing the ugly fishman as silver-rimmed glasses replaced his thick precription glasses. "Glasses....of Deception." He whispered darkly, as the Soul Weapon took effect throughout the area, as he continued running along with the others going towards the tower. 'Let's see if the madness will increase the fishman's aggro.' He thought, somewhat amused that he got such a useful soul weapon. |

"Uglier doesn't mean stronger!" Lavender hissed as she made a hyper leap to nail a deep one in the jaw with a knee kick - sending the fishman flying backwards from the impact, before cutting down another cultist on her right flank with a burst of fire from her MP7A1. They keep coming, and the Arcadians would simply cut them down as they advanced inexorably towards the tower. And then it hit again. "Guh!" Lavender reeled once more as another groan emanated from the tower, and the aeromancer could feel the white-hot pain of a psychic backlash against her mind, forcing her to her knees. "We need to hurry!" Lavender broadcast to the entire team. The aeromancer rolled aside, just barely noticing another deep one that was trying to attack her while she was down. Rolling aside, the aeromancer recovered to a half-kneeling position to unleash another burst of rounds at the deep one's leg, bringing it to its knees before firing another burst at its head. "Tsukasa-san!" Lavender called out as Hiro blocked a strike from what appeared to be a king-sized deep one, the size of a small house whom its smaller kin addressed as "Dagon". "Thianbang-chan! Assist Chizu-chan from the air!" Lavender relayed an order to the witch as she picked up disturbances in the air currents, which her senses identified as wingbeats. "And as for myself..." Lavender trailed off as she materialized her soul weapon, Revolver Knuckle, an armored gauntlet appearing over her right hand. Unlike in video games and other entertainment media, when faced with a group of enemies it was actually a more prudent survival tactic to aim to take down the strongest member of the group, instead of trying to thin out the ranks of the attackers one by one starting from the weakest. "I'm going for the big guy!" Lavender continued as she got into a low stance with one leg forward and bent at the knee and another behind her, her right fist cocked backwards as the winds bent to the aeromancer's will, a lavender-colored cyclone swirling around the aeromancer as she glared at Dagon with narrowed emerald eyes. And with a loud whoosh and a shockwave, the aeromancer took off like a bullet, gathering the winds around her fist as she flew straight toward's Dagon's head, as the winds compressed in front of her fist in a drill-like point, swirling endlessy like a cyclone. The aeromancer's intention was clear - she wasn't intending to simply slam into Dagon, she was looking to drill right through him! "Not... again..." Selene grasped her head as she staggered under another psychic onslaught created by Cthulhu's waking echoes, for a moment oblivious to the presence of a deep one bearing down upon her, and as she was recovering the corporate heiress could only stare wide-eyed at the deep one looming over her with a claw raised up high to strike... only to get knocked off its feet as the Valkyrie sailed through the air to plant a flying kick squarely in the deep one's chest, before driving her claymore through the fishman's torso and giving the blade a sharp twist whilst still embedded within its chest cavity for good measure, eliciting a gurgling cry as the deep one thrashed about slightly before going still. "Come on, Valkyrie!" the corporate heiress gestured for her Valkyrie to follow as she left Lavender and a few others to help Hiro fend off Dagon, as the Valkyrie rejoined the corporate heiress' side as she joined those who were pressing onwards towards the tower, firing Naur and Heleg as she moved forward, while her Valkyrie followed closely, ready to cut down any foe that tried to flank the corporate heiress. |

So far so good, they were pushing through the mass of Deep Ones fairly easily so far, mostly because of how easily they fall by all their attacks despite looking fearsome and deadly. Hajime was about to comment how their looks were deceptive when then came what could possibly be only described as the mother of them all, or in this case, the Father. Hajime raised his gunblades in sword mode towards Father Dagon’s general direction, amazed yet appalled by the size of the thing towering over them and once again brought up the question what manner of other horrors that awaits them further into the city. Hajime was ready to stand and fight the giant fish aquatic monstrosity, ready to send it back where it came from until Hiro ordered those with Persona, which includes Hajime, to go ahead towards their destination. Of course, Hajime wanted to protest, but steeled himself from saying so as knowing just as well that it would only waste precious time and energy on their part which is best used on their one true target. Hajime instead nodded, risking a glance at those who are staying behind the sake of them few. With grim determination, Hajime lowered his soul weapon and nodded to the rest of the Persona Users before running ahead of them away from the Dagon and his minions towards the Tower… |

Bocky was running through the fish man cultists like a rabbit through a bushel of carrots. He smacked another one away before a giant fish monster appeared apparently named Dagon. He was a big version of the little fishmen, but there was no doubt in his mind that he was going to be a lot harder to take down then any of the small fry. A powerful pain shot through his head and he fell down on one knee. He wasn't sure why he was in so much pain, but he didn't have time to stop yet. He picked himself back up and prepared to help out. Hiro gave put an order for some people to stay and hold off Dagon. Bocky slipped his staff back onto into his back and pointed his palms at Dagon. He yelled out to his fellow Arcadins "Let's take this strange mother of fish monsters!" Twin balls of ki filled his hands and they radiated with power. He eyed Dagon for a vulnerable spot and found a good target in his chest. He let his two beach ball size ki blasts straight at Dagons chest. Ki points used: 10 KP left: 190 |

Chizu grit her teeth and closed her eyes against the next wave of mental assault, grabbing onto her wind stream and stabilizing it to keep herself from dropping out of the sky as she navigated for a couple of seconds based on her aeromancer senses alone. Her eyes snapped open at Tsukasa-sensei's command and she pushed past the pain, snapping back into the correct trajectory and heading for the tower. The aeromancer clenched her fists, drawing up short and hovering in the air as she felt sudden disturbances from the air in the sky around her. It felt almost like a miniature storm was coming her way, but as they got closer, she recognized them as wingbeats. Many, many wingbeats. So it was either a giant hummingbird, or... Her eyes flicked towards the advancing cloud of Nightgaunts. Or that. Well, shit. Smart, Chizu, real smart... she thought to herself. If she got out of the air now, she would only be leading the swarm to the Arcadians on the ground. She could fly faster than them and beat them to the tower, but that was a stupid plan on so many levels. First, they would chase her, and she was willing to bet good money that there was something waiting for her up ahead too. Second, if she got too far ahead of the group, there would be no support for her. So that left her with one thing to do. Fight back. Hold her ground. Or, in this case, sky. She faced down the swarm, grim-faced. She had never fought a true aerial battle before. But she was the master of the Wind Tower. The skies were her territory, and right now, she was truly in her element. There was no need to worry about hurting anyone other than herself. There was no need to worry about collateral damage. Nothing above and nothing below, nothing but the enemy in front. No need to hold back, no need to be quick and clean. She could just let go. A small grin came to her face at that thought, baring her teeth as a sudden thrill ran through her. It wasn't that she was confident. The odds were stacked against her right now. But she could feel it rushing through her, an old feeling that throbbed in her blood. The thrill of the fight. The aeromancer hovered in place, her hands at her sides. She turned her palms outward so that they were facing the sky, the air slipping between them. Like the blades of a particularly large fan, the air immediately around her began to spin, slowly at first, but then faster and faster. The first Nightgaunt flew straight into one of the rotating blades, the full weight of the mass of air crashing into it and slashing open its chest. Blood sprayed into the air, caught up by the rotating fan and dispersing into the surrounding area without ever touching her. The fan was a clumsy bit of aeromancy and one that required quite a bit of power to start, but once started, it moved more or less on its own. Any of the creatures that rushed at her blindly now did so running the risk of getting bisected or crushed. The fan's effects rippled outward, the disturbance caused by it disrupting air currents and making the air immediately around it difficult to navigate or fly through. It wasn't the best defense, but against a swarm of this size, big and powerful techniques were better than refined and efficient ones. Even with this, it was chancy. The fan would delay them for a little while, but sooner or later, they would overwhelm her by sheer number. And she had to save as much of her energy as possible for the bigger fish. She glanced down at the Arcadians below her. They had their own issues. She would have to hold out for as long as she could, until someone helped her or until she ran out of ideas. Chizu hovered in the air in the eye of the storm of her own making, waiting for the moment when her first wall of defense would be breached. "Ah!" Star let out a small shriek of pain at the renewed assault, stopping suddenly in her run. She closed her eyes against the pain and pressed her gloved hands to her face, feeling like her head was going to split open. Her elemental self recoiled against the invasion and pushed back, and she could feel the heat of the power pulsing inside of her, a golden glow washing over her. Star forced it back down with renewed determination, forcing herself to open her eyes. She took deep breaths, coming back to reality only to see Hiro trapped beneath one of the new arrival's claws. "Sensei!" shouted Star, reflexively reaching forward. She stopped herself as his order reached her. Persona users...? She had to get to the Tower, but just leaving everyone else left a bad taste in her mouth. Her fingers curled inward and she clenched her fist, pulling it back against herself. This was bigger than her and it was bigger than them. She had to go. Glancing at Meglumar, she nodded once and started to run, trying to get around and continue heading for the Tower. "Ikki, take care of sensei!" she yelled at her coworker, running past them and continuing on. Edited by Chizu, Dec 8 2011, 02:41 AM.

Ayane ran full speed towards the tower, this was her first mission as an Arcadian agent and this was a big one, everyone was piling in to stop this ancient god from rising once more and she needed to be at her best if she was going to protect the world as she hoped that she wasn't too late to be of help to her other comrades. She arrived near the battlefield as several of those fish monsters appeared before her, "Oh ew" she exclaimed as she didn't have more time to say that other than that as she immediately began to battle them, punching one of them in the chest hard enough that she was sure it was dead before dodging another's attack then countering by cracking its skull open with a devastating kick before finishing the rest with a flurry of punches that destroyed their internal organs, "there done and dusted" she said with a smile as she quickly went to the other Arcadian agents. (I don't know what to post since she's a bit late, anyone can meet up with Ayane and she'll join them; also if there are any problems please PM me and I'll fix it) Edited by legendia, Dec 8 2011, 06:36 AM.

"Ahhh!!! Pain!!! Ouch! That hurts! Damn that Cthulhu's mother, hope his whole family dies." Zhimeng curses as another headache causing moan sent shockwaves through her head, causing her to lose focus and got herself a cut on her left arm after barely missing a few attacks from the fishmen."I hate these stupid god like aliens." Then she saw the big fish monster called Dagon and the cloud of Nightgaunt. "Thianbang! Abandon the idea of ferrying people over, deal with those stupid bats. Try to help Chizu in the battle and help us secured command of the air!" She advised Thianbang on the communicator, before cutting down the few fishmen that attacked her."Damn you stupid seafood." She commented, and starts to channel her Solar Arts Qi into her Soul Weapon, slowly heating the blade up to red hot. "I changed my mind about sashimi, I think I would prefer grilled fish instead." And starts slicing down more cultists, before noticing that Thianbang was doing something stupid and thus shouts at her... Now, as for the other dream... "Hey! Stop that! It hurts!" The flying witch complained as another painful headache spears through her mind, her shield proving in effective against such mystical attacks, fortunately she was ready for it this time and did not fall down from the sky from it. "Sure! Ariel combat is a witch's speciality!" Was her respond to Zhimeng and Lavender's words, and flies towards the air, towards Chizu and the cloud of Nightgaunts."Time to fight!" Speeding to the left of the sky, Thianbang took out her pair of... rubber pallets air-guns. "Use your soul weapon, you idiotic moron! Keep those two toys! What makes you thinks rubber pellets will work against alien monsters? Use your bloody brain!" Came Zhimeng's rather well-intended but never the less just as rude and bossy advice. "Ok, but there's no need to shout at me like that, Yume-Chan."And so Thianbang kept her air guns and summoned her Soul Weapon, PhoaKun and starts shooting the machine gun at the Nightguants while flying from left to right, sending a wave of 12.7×99mm NATO rounds at them. Among the chaos and the destruction, there was still one existence within the mix that could still laugh and have fun. "AAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!" "HAAHAHAHAA!!! COME ON, COME AT ME!!!" "THIS IS FUN!!" " LET US PLAY SOME MORE!!!" "HAHAHAHAAA!!!" As though he himself had been possessed by the devil. Within all these wreck and havoc his... less than abnormal attitude may not be that noticeable, seeing as everyone else were too busy or distracted with their own dilemma and trouble. But for V... it was as though this place was his playground. As though everything was a game, everything was made just for him to have fun with. It was even worse that his definition of 'fun' at the moment was what others would call 'torture' or 'nightmare'. V!!! WHAT in the name-... V STOP THIS RIGHT NOW!!! The distressed and furious protest of Seth from inside his head went either unheard or completely ignored. He plowed on, completely disregarding friends, foes or the head-splitting headache that had been bothering him since the appearance of the human-fish hybrid abomination. C'mon, why stop now? He's having the time of his life here! Killing, destroying, eliminating, obliterating!!! This extreme change in attitude shouldn't be all that surprising considering the very nature of V himself. A super metavirus originally designed to destroy anything that it ever comes in contact with, not to mention the fact that the metavirus was incredibly complex to the point where it had its own consciousness derived from its destructive nature... It was as though he couldn't see, hear or feel the world around him anymore. Reaching out and ripping the life out of anything he could touch, laughing like an old madman as he did. Wait, have we touched on what Seth was feeling? Obviously he was scared. No, not because he didn't think this would happen. He knew very well that V was naturally very prone to extreme level of violence, but... this is just ridiculous... even worse was that he had absolutely no way to stop him whatsoever. Which is weird considering that this is actually his own body. Life is hard when you have a maniacal killer living inside your head. "Are you done yet~? Are you done yet~? Are you done yet~?" He said in a disturbingly sweet sing-song voice, as he plowed through the battlefield. "Cuz I'm not done yet. I'm not done yet and I'm not satisfied yet. Play with me some more~!" He barely took any hits. His mind was being ravaged even more by the appearance of Dagon, yet he barely flinched, acting as though nothing had actually happened whatsoever. He was still smiling, still laughing as he went on ahead with the rest of the Arcadian, completely ignoring Dagon's existence. He was going faster than the ones being busy trying to hold back, or at least confronting the rest of the grunts. Dangerously far enough to split himself off from everyone else, away from comrades and away from help if he ever needed any. |

So far so good. The Arcadians were advancing, these things had the durability of paper, and with any luck they co- ...Why did he ever bother being optimistic? Now something new had risen up, something called Father Dagon. This...THING was massive, and not going to be easy to deal with. Damon prepared to fight before Hiro gave the order for the persona users to advance. Damon wasn't too keen on leaving the others, but orders were orders. "Show this thing who's boss." Damon said to the others, before advancing forward, Wishing them luck silently as he did so. ~*~*~ Meglumar's head felt like it was going to implode, actually having to stop for a moment to grip his head. Their advance was going well, all things considered, but this pain was intense. He didn't have a choice though, they had to advance. Especially since now it was an order. Meglumar nodded to Star as he brought his hands down from his head, and ran with her, recalling his keyblades as he did. "If any of you die, we're going to kill you!" He yelled out to the group, not wanting to see any of his friends and comrades hurt. |

Watching as his allies advanced, Jeff held out his hand and concentrated. Now was not the time to play games, when a creature this dangerous was on the loose. No, Jeff would need every advantage he could possibly get at his disposal and so he closed his eyes for a moment. Using his ki augmentation now was not a wise decision, but luckily for him at least that was not all he had at his disposal. Thinking on his options, since he could not use blasts unlike other wielders of Qi, and did not have elemental abilities at his disposal Jeff’s smile turned to a frown. I mean come on, what kind of creature is that large and dumb? Apparently one that is besides being dumb very powerful, to the point of being considered a monster is the kind of that creature. This creature was one that needed to be taken down, and needed to be taken down fast. All goofing aside, it was one of the true monsters that his mentor would want dead and whose head should be mounted on his wall. So Jeff merely let the familiar threads of Ki began to work their way through his body, but he was not augmenting himself, not yet at least as this was the precursor to the augmentation. For if you wanted to go all out, you had to risk it all in order to win and so he breathed out and in, focusing on the task at hand. Letting the threads of Ki wrap inside of him around the muscles, tissues, bones and other things that needed them, Jeff clenched his teeth as the enhancement began. It always stung a little for the augmentation, but seeing as how he was going to his maximum that he knew of, 1.5x the level of an Olympic athlete, this would be a fight that would be truly considered in need of the situation. Good thing if his augmentation would not work, he had brought another security with him to help him out. "I'll stay and help you Hiro-Sensei. Those with personas and soul weapons who don’t want to stay here rush ahead, and try to get into that tower. I’ll help hold off this creature." Once the augmentation had been completed, two blades of Ki formed in his hands. These blades were ones based off of ancient style, in the form of a shorter version of katana. Shifting into his combat stance, Jeff prepared himself for what lay ahead, as this battle would be one of the utmost importance. Said creature was a scaly ugly freak and an enemy that would need to be finished fast. Edited by Cyberstrike, Dec 9 2011, 11:43 AM.

Lucidus simled as his attack landed home on one of the strange creatures that were currently their opponent. It seemed like the creatures strength relied in quantity over quality which was sort of good. Lucidus was actually quite excited at this despite the imminent threat of death. Unfortunately to make him feel less happy came another groan from the tower and another burst of searing mental pain which made it hard as hell to concentrate. Lucidus managed to pull through however. Suddenly a large version of the smaller creatures emerged from the ground heading straight to attack the group. Lucidus was about to jump in to try and block the attack but Hiro had already managed to do it. The damned creature was massive it was at least the size of a house. This fight was going to be somewhat difficult Lucidus thought to himself. After all he'd probably have the same durability as a small house. Hiro had given the order for the persona users to go ahead, this was slightly worrying for Lucidus since they would have to fight this creature without some of the stronger members of Arcadia. They would have to do though. "Let's show this bastard what we can do." Lucidus smiled happily there was nothing wrong with a little confidence. He dispelled his soul weapon and a moment later materialized his own bow. He wasn't going to hold anything back against these things. He drew his bow and fired several arrows that flew towards the things eye, Lucidus hoped that it would hit them because it would take away sight and make the creature have a huge disadvantage. |

There were, as expected, a couple of stragglers, and the appearance of Father Dagon didn't help at all. Otoha wasn't one of them, but she was taking care of one who was - her sister. Even the troll was having trouble with the mind-breaking effects of being in proximity with the cultists and their abilities, but she was still able to fight. Hotaru, sadly, wasn't as strong, and had to stop in her tracks every so often because the headaches wouldn't stop. "Go, onee-chan! Just leave me behind!" Hotaru groaned. "No way you moron! You're my little sister! You're not going to be left behind!" By this time, Otoha had resorted to giving Hotaru a piggyback ride, and letting the rest of the group before them cut a path for them while taking out any other stray cultists who got in the way. "I'm sorry... Onee-chan..." Hotaru sighed as she held on. "Don't be sorry. You're my sister. Though I told you to stay behind..." "If I stayed behind, it wouldn't have mattered! I can still help somehow!" "In this state?" Otoha yelled as she used her Soul Weapon Kalidovolg to smack a cultist in the head away from them. "You could still have helped as Double if I needed you! I'm being practical here!" "What if it doesn't work though? This IS a strange place of unworldly power after all, and it may require us to be together..." "Persona Users advance on the Tower. Everyone else, I want a few of you to stay back with me to deal with this guy. The rest of you proceed with the group!" Hiro yelled as he stayed back to fight the giant monster. Gritting her teeth, Otoha nodded and ran off in the same direction as Hajime and the other Personae users with Hotaru in tow. "Stay close, okay?" Otoha gently said even above the deafening cacophony of insane moans and groans from the cultists. I... I want to be useful somehow... I don't like this!... Hotaru bemoaned to herself in her mind as they tried to keep up with the rest of the group... |

NICE DRIVE!
|
[Vs. Dagon] As the ground beneath Dagon began to sink the giant beast found itself off balance and began to stumble losing its force in the power struggle against Arcadia's leader. As Hiro began to push back, Ikki came around from the side and with a single powerful slash from Durandal severed Dagon's clawed hand at the wrist. As it slumped to the ground Hiro hopped back just as Adam's circle enveloped the beast. The severed hand began to burn instantly and quickly boiled into nothingness as Dagon stumbled back in pain both from his injury and the searing words that came from Adam. Roaring out it held its hand-less arm to the sky as the cut area began to pulse and quiver for a moment just as a new clawed hand tore through as if through some painful regeneration process. It seemed this lesser servant of Cthulhu shared the regenerative abilities that had been seen in the Star-Spawn and to a certain extent Rasputin. All this perfectly set up Lavender's attack. As the aeromancer whooshed in almost seemingly from nowhere due to the speed her first impacted with Dagon's chest and as the hiddeous fish-monster let out another roar of pain its green blood began to splatter everywhere as true to her plan Lavender quite literally drilled through the monster and shot forth from its back causing it to slump forward and be struck by both of Maneki's ki-blasts further injuring the hole in its chest as it caught itself with its hands. In this injured state it also took the shots from Lucidus though its fall meant the eyes avoided being targeted. "Lavender-chan nice!" Hiro shouted in awe as everyone's teamwork seemed to be making short work of the beast. However, slowly the hole in its chest was beginning to grow back over and seal up. This was going to be the same situation as the Star-Spawn. As it regenerated back to perfect form Dagon spun lurched forth with a claw swiping to smack everyone gathered in front of it. However, just before anyone could act Ikki would feel a burst of energy from Durandal. "This power," the sword spoke in a regal voice, "Your noble sense of justice! The willpower to defend against any attack for the sake of protecting others! Your passion has awakened me!" As these words were spoken it seemed as though supernatural chains were falling off from the massive sword and with a flash of light it vanished from Ikki's grasp and materialized before Hiro and the others in its True Form: ![]() Raising the giant body-sized shield from his back Durandal blocked the claw and pushing back sent Dagon off balance and forcing it to fall flat on its back. "I thank you Arcadia," Durandal commented in the same noble voice from before, "When I was last wielded I expended all my power defending my User and lost the ability to manifest my True Form. However, this time spent among Arcadia since you retrieved me and seeing the passion that exists in your souls has stirred me once more." "Know that Durandal fights for your cause!" Durandal shouted as he began to glow brightly, "And against the Perfect Defense no foe can overcome!" In another flash of light the massive blade returned to its sword form and materialized in Ikki's hands once more. However, the group wouldn't have any time to think. With another horrendous roar Dagon was slowly rising to its feet. [The Sky] Nightgaunt after Nightgaunt was cut down due to Chizu's technique. However, these alien creatures seemed to not hold the same type of logic as humans. Faced with this situation the best course of action would appear to be pulling back to avoid unnecessary losses. However, these gargoyle-like black creatures continued their assault. It seemed as though for every one that Chizu cut down three more began to swoop in with brandished claws to tear into her. All around her vision of everything else was starting to black out as the massive flock of Nightgaunts positioned to entirely surround her. Unless action was quickly taken she would essentially be trapped within a cloud of the hiddeous faceless monsters. Meanwhile, Thianbang began to provide support for Chizu but her fire seemed to have little impact. Again, for every defeated Nightgaunt it seemed to gain three replacing its rank. The beings had appeared seemingly from nowhere originally so there was no telling where they were coming from nor how many truly existed. From the back of the cloud more Nightgaunts began to break off and now rush Thianbang trying to claw at her as well. Slowly, the back end of the Nightgaunt cloud was shifting so it could eventually envelop Thianbang as well. [The Tower] Elsewhere, the group asked to proceed on had reached the tower at the center of the island. After cutting through the Deep Ones and Cultists nearest the tower they would find no direct opposition towards entering. Inside the final ritual was being performed to welcome Cthulhu from its slumber. It was here that the end of the world would emerge and now only Arcadia could prevent it. However, despite the lack of security, from within a hideous chant could be heard as if hundreds of voices were all repeating it in unison: ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn |
