NICE DRIVE!
|
For Arcadia their countdown had ended. The entire Fire Division has been in action all week training, setting affairs in order and preparing for this moment. There was no longer any time left. The sunken city of R'lyeh had risen from the dark depths of the ocean and somewhere within its labyrinthine construction the dreaming horror Cthulhu stirred in slumber teetering on the verge of waking. If it rose unopposed the entire world would become subject to its alien whims. The final result of Rasputin's machinations: Arcadia's last stand was beginning. The Fated Day had arrived... As the portal from Arcadia HQ opened on the shore of R'lyeh the members of Fire Division accompanied by Hiro Tsukasa and Lavender Smith in the lead began to emerge. Hiro had been clear in his sentiments to the group. This mission was by choice only. Despite the importance of the task at hand, everyone knew that on paper the mission was borderline suicidal. Knowing this, Hiro would never accept to forcing all of Fire Division along without their consent. The B.P.R.D. was already present in full force and seemed to be currently having a massive fire fight against cultists veiled in dark robes. Judging from the numbers it seemed the assertion that Cthulhu's followers from across the globe would flock to R'lyeh had been accurate. The B.P.R.D. hadn't been present for long, but so far the battle was still a struggle. The outer area of the island was mostly rocky crags and small hills that jutted out in all directions at odd angles. It was as if the very island itself had been carved from solid black stone by some alien intelligence. Even gazing over the various curves and angles of the various formations made those looking feel like their head was spinning. However, what was most mind-blowing was the sight located at the center of the island: ![]() "The nightmare corpse-city of R'lyeh... was built in measureless eons behind history by the vast, loathsome shapes that seeped down from the dark stars. There lay great Cthulhu and his hordes, hidden in green slimy vaults," Hiro mumbled reciting a passage he had read while researching in preparation for this operation as he gazed in awe of the sight before them. As everyone's eyes settled on the larger tower in the center they would notice the spire of green energy flowing from its point. There, within that cyclopean design, rested their target. "Tsukasa," a familiar voice cried out as the crack of rifle fire suddenly resounded close by. The source was none other than Sarah Armitage, Arcadia's contact with the B.R.P.D., who despite still being dressed in her usual black business suit was present fighting alongside the rest wielding what seemed to be an ancient looking hunting rifle. However, a supernatural aura emanated from it. "We will handle the shore," she commented with an air of desperation, "Have Arcadia punch through and go for the source!" "Right! Those with Persona," Hiro began in a grim authoritative tone, "Save it until you don't think you can fight on any more with your own abilities. Our mission is to take that tower and eliminate Cthulhu by any means necessary. Stick together and try to support one another, but don't forget our goal. If someone falls behind and it's too costly to go back then despite our feelings we need to continue and complete the objective. That includes even me. Let's go!" Extended his right arm, Hiro materialized his soul weapon Tyrfing and grasped the blade's handle tightly. Without another word, Arcadia's leader took off headfirst running down the path towards the tower at the center of the island. All around the fight between the B.P.R.D. and the Cult of Cthulhu raged on with combatants dropping quickly on both sides. However, no sooner did Arcadia's advance begin did things become more complicated. From within the tower a low groan echoed out being both audible and within everyone's mind at the same time. Coinciding with this many of the Cultists began to writhe and contort as they shouted in pain. All at once more than half of the Cultists present began to bulk up in size as their robes became shredded or merely exploded apart revealing that they had transformed into large fearsome humanoid-fish creatures. Their very sight suggested enhanced strength and speed not to mention their razor sharp claws and teeth: ![]() Along with the groan came a searing pain in everyone's mind. It was very similar to the ability Rasputin had used in several instances except the force was multiplied a thousandfold. For Hiro, Lavender and the members of Fire Division that encountered the Star-Spawn within Hyakuji's Museum the sensation was even further magnified. Wincing in pain, Hiro fought past the sensation and continued leading the charge. Cthulhu was waking; there was no more time. Edited by Hiro_Tsukasa, Dec 1 2011, 08:34 PM.

Damon stood with the other Arcadians on the shore, taking a deep breath. They were here. All the build up, all the work, everything they'd all done, all of it was for this. He looked down at his pocket watch, opening it. He didn't even bother noting the time. It didn't matter. He just wanted to make sure it was still here, and that it would stay here. He made Kaede and little Sagi a promise. He would return home. He'd survive this, stop Cthulhu, and make good on his word. He closed his watch and looked in front of himself, the city a disturbingly breathtaking sight to behold. The nightmarish green light at the center seemed to be their target. The most disturbing sight, though, was the brutality of the BPRD versus cultists. With a bit of coaxing from their returned ally, they were off, Hiro starting off with an order to the Persona-users: Don't use them until absolutely needed. As they marched on, an awful groan echoed through the air and their minds, as nearby cultists were morphed into strange abominations. They looked like fish rather than men. A familiar, agonizing sensation ran through Damon's mind. This again...And this was just from some minions... "Out of our way! We've got an appointment with the big one!" Damon yelled out as he ran, before firing a fair-sized blast straight at one of the morphed cultists, aiming to knock him right off the path and into the waters below. They couldn't waste time with them, they needed to get this over and done with, as soon as possible. Darkness Gauge: 5/16 -3 ~*~*~ Meglumar looked around at the chaos, rather surprised at it. Unlike Damon, however, he was visibly shaken by the center of the city and the light emanating from it's core. He glanced over to Star, taking her hand. She had made her choice to go on this mission. And this time, he knew he could not ask her to not come along. He would support her as best he could throughout this, and protect her just as she would protect him. Once the order to advance was given, Meglumar nodded, moving out with the rest of the group. He secured Masamune and it's hilt on his back. Even if he wanted to prove his strength, to make his way without needing a magic blade, he knew it's power was going to be needed. He would not allow his pride to possibly damn him. Their path would soon be blocked by Cthulhian agents, transformed by the mad beasts agonizing groans. The pain they were inflicting with their mere presence was inhuman. He felt as if his brain was being scooped out with a spoon, a rusty spoon covered in salt. He immediately called forth his keyblade, Starseeker and his soul weapon keyblade, Aquarian Artifact. He knew these things would stop them if they were allowed to continue like this. He immediately hurled both straight at the skull of one of the creatures. Keep moving, yes. But he wasn't going to let these things have a chance to CHASE them Edited by Captain, Dec 1 2011, 10:37 PM.

Sho felt searing pain in her mind as a roar went out from the tower. She bent down and put her focus into crafting a double bladed nagitana from the strange stone. She tried to condense the material as much as possible so as to make it relatively sturdy, but it was expendable anyway. She checked the blades and made sure they were as sharp as she could make them and then turned to the person who entered right behind her. Ryo looked at the tower in the center of the island. This was going to be a rough fight. Ryo snapped his fingers and created a sword of black lightning. "Are you sure you want to do this?"he asked Sho. She nodded. "Yes. I can be a create help in a prolonged fight,"she said. "Plus, I don't want you to die so I have to protect your butt from getting killed,"she said with a laugh. "I don't see how you could be cracking jokes right now, but I guess it helps lighten the mood. Now if I just didn't have this headache...."he said. "Let's go!" The two ran towards the tower, following behind Hiro. |

The day had finally arrived, it was time for arcadia to face its greatest threat, but not just the greatest threat to the group, but the greatest threat to the planet itself, there was no way around it, on this day they would fight, not just for themselves, but for their friends, and loved one's, they would lay everything on the line at this very moment to protect everything that was important to them. Ikki Sanjiro stood behind Hiro as the fire division stepped foot onto the island. The young male had taken things pretty hard once the initial order was given, but after a week of training, he felt more comfortable with his own ability to fight. He glanced back at Durandal as the weapon was safely strapped to his back, just in case the boy needed it, but on this day Ikki wanted to show Hiro that he could do it with his own power. As Hiro spoke Ikki listened intently, gazing at the tower off in the distance. So that was their target? The tower that held the greatest threat to man, and Hiro and arcadia where all that stood in this things way. "So we bust in, defeat this thing, and go home...let's just hope its that easy...but at this point, that may just be wishful thinking eh sensei?" Ikki asked Hiro as the man seemed to be worried himself. There was a lot of pressure on the entire group to win this battle, but it was common knowledge that the group could fail, or win the battle, and be in a position that none of them can come back, and with arcadia anything was possible. But on this night, for one time since he got here Ikki would wipe all doubts from his mind. He had a great team around him, and they where lead by a man Ikki looked up, and he was sure Hiro would see them through anything that happened. "You ready kid?" Kal said with a slight snicker as he could feel Ikki's nervous energy, but it wasn't an energy of fear, but of determination, the will to know that as long as arcadia stuck together they could defeat anything, and overcome any challenge, no matter how much the odds where stacked against them. "More then you will ever know Kal...maybe after this you tell me your name..." Ikki responded as he cracked a smile before looking at the battle around him. The entire scene was something out of a movie, both sides where taking casualties quickly, and if the fire division didn't move fast, there would be even more bodies on both sides that would need treatment. It was at this moment Hiro began to issue the orders. Ikki looked around at his teammates. He couldn't imagine leaving one of them behind, but he knew the cost of this mission. He knew that a lot more then one person could be lost if the failed, and on that thought alone he knew he would do whatever it took to see this mission through to its end. "Yes sir!" Ikki said as he watched Hiro summon his soul weapon. The boy watched with a smile, but was almost knocked off his feet as he felt a large mental assault suddenly overtake him. Ikki grunted as he reached up to grab his head. "Gah! Damn it hurts!" He cursed as he tried to stay on his feet as he stayed close behind Hiro, making sure not to fall behind the man. On this night Ikki would make sure that he didn't fail Hiro, or most importantly his friends. |

Hajime stood at the shore of the risen abhorrent island city of ancient horror with trepidation in his heart, finding the very place that would be the site that decides the fate of the entire world as they know it overbearing and depressing, not to mention emanating a dreadful aura that made the hair on his neck stand on ends and would have rooted him in place for maybe an eternity if half his mind wasn’t preoccupied with figuring what exactly do they need to do to stop this spreading madness. And speaking of spreading madness, he couldn’t describe the strange agonizing pain that echoed with the low groan emanating from somewhere but in his head as well. The same sound that somehow also transformed the cultists that had found their way to the island somehow before they did into an aquatic abomination. Was this what everyone was preparing for all this time? If this was merely what they were seeing on the outer realm of this once sunken city, who’s to say what more horrifying lurking horrors that they’ll find when they go deeper into the complex? With his gun blades Hotaru and Hinata at the ready in his hands and by his side, Hajime followed the rest of the Fire Division towards the island center. No, more like fighting their way against the horde of transformed fish cultists that now stood to hinder their mission. Like Damon, Hajime fired upon on them with Hotaru and Hinata’s magical energy projectiles to fend them off before they come close while also using its sword mode when they do, slashing at them with a kiai so as to deter them with as much might he can muster in his arms and voice. All for the benefit of the world. |

The Middleman (stubborn, yet relaxed)
|
"Okay....I must have missed something, because I have no idea why people would want to be cultists of a god that I've never heard of." Shad said to both himself and Excalibur, who comfortably rested on his comfy, big hat. Like everyone else, Shad had basically undergone training, but mostly mental training to empty his feelings and thoughts to lessen the fear. True, he was a bit out of his league, but with this new Soul Weapon, he'll protect the others from the madness and the cultists. True, the city was quite fearsome and vast as he saw it for the first time after coming out of the portal, but the fear of it sinking again awhile they were underground was even more discomforting. As he ran with the others towards the center of town, he began to charge up mana from the ground as to test the magic itself, which thankfully wasn't tainted much. 'Hmm...take the tower? That alone makes little sense at best.' He pondered in thought, his long, steel 6 foot pipe spinning rapidly like a baton in his hand. "Oh well, might as well start busting heads." Shad sighed as the first wave of cultists and fishmen approached and charged forward like crazied lunatics. 'And later on, say some prayers.' At the same time, he cringed and rubbed his cranium as a bursting throb of fear zapped his mind, nearly losing his balance as he stumbled a little, his pipe bashing a fishman's eyeball into pulp. He reasserted his placement of feet before moving around the disoriented fishman and continued on to following Hiro and the others. "What the heck was that?" He muttered, recieving sting after sting of pain in his skull. |

"So it comes down to this..." Lavender muttered as she and Hiro emerged from the portal on the shores of Ry'leh - already the BPRD were on the scene and engaged in a furious battle with dark-robed cultists; mortal followers of the Great Old One. Apparently, Cthulhu's followers had sensed the reemergence of the sunken city and flocked there from all corners of the world in readiness to meet their god. The vista that greeted the aeromancer was breath-taking in ways more than one - the alien architecture and bizarre geometries of the sunken city simply boggled the human mind, especially the tower that stood in the middle of the island. "Got it, Tsukasa-san," Lavender gave an acknowledgement at the end of Hiro's short briefing, releasing the safety on her MP7A1, fitted with her usually preferred 40-round magazine and illuminated reticle sight, breaking into a charge right behind Hiro's lead. "Well, no turning back now," Selene mused as she glanced across nightmarish landscape of Ry'leh, towards the tower in the center of the island that probably served as the throne of Cthulhu. Having gone this far, the corporate heiress felt that she had no regrets. The Valkyrie stood wordlessly next to her summoner, claymore planted into the ground with her gauntlet-clad hands resting on the pommel as the warrior maiden awaited orders from her master, stoic and unflinching as always. "Valkyrie, let's go!" Selene ordered, and without a second's hesitation the Valkyrie removed her claymore from the ground, flourishing the blade around before breaking into a run alongside Selene once Hiro gave the order, materializing her soul weapon Naur and Heleg as she did so, as a pair of fist-sized gemstones - one fiery orange and another icy blue - orbited around the corporate heiress as she followed Hiro and Lavender's lead towards the tower. "What was that?" Lavender nearly stopped in her tracks as a low groaning noise emanated from within the tower - it wasn't just a sound as the aeromancer realized it resounded psychically within her mind, and in an instant the battle took a turn for the worse as half of the cultists responded to the noise by undergoing a terrifying transformation, their bodies writhing and contorting before bulking up, changing from human to humanoid abominations that resembled a cross between man and fish. "Ack!" Lavender stumbled for a moment as at the same time the groan was heard a sudden pain flashed through her mind and remained there; not unlike the time back in her encounter with the star spawn - only this time it was amplified. It felt as if someone were slowly drilling through her skull and into her brain, but there was no time to let some pain slow her down; it was a grim sign that Cthulhu's full reawakening was at hand, and they would need to make haste. Giving a shout of defiance against the nasty sensation, Lavender soldiered on as the winds gathered around the aeromancer in a glowing lavender-colored cyclone as she pressed forward in a burst of aeromancy-enhanced speed, charging at a speed that made her register as little more than a lavender-colored blur with streaks of black before coming to a sudden stop and with a quick spin explosively releasing the air that had been compressed around her in a giant arc-shaped blade of wind that spread out at a supersonic speed, looking to slice through the masses of Cthulhu cultists, morphed or otherwise! Selene gritted her teeth as she felt the sudden pressure in her skull - Cthulhu was waking, and the transformed cultists were a sign of it; for a moment a feeling of dread seized the corporate heiress as she wondered what would be in store for them if they pressed on - sure, death or permanent insanity were bad enough, but to be turned into an abomination? Best not to think too much about that, the corporate heiress thought as she pointed at the masses of cultists, Naur and Heleg's fiery and icy auras building up as the two gems began firing a rapid burst of magical heat and freeze rays at the cultists. Joining in her master's assault, the Valkyrie launched herself into the thick of the battle as the warrior maiden performed a run-up before taking to the air in a gravity-defying hyper leap, claymore raised over her head before diving down at a group of mutated cultists, shouting a war cry as a blue-white glow radiated from her claymore. With a half-spin, the Valkyrie slashed a wide arc in front of her, a sudden rush of gale-force wind sweeping from where she swung her sword, which was then followed up by a blue-white wave of energy blasting outwards at any nearby foes with an explosive force!

As Jeff considered the alternatives to using Ixa, he realized that such power would only serve to be a disadvantage in this situation. While it was true he had spent a few hours learning to use Ixa, the system was just not something he wished to rely on. It was for his purposes too weak, and so he would rely on his natural abilities rather than on those of the machine. Plus against this enemy using his natural abilities until he could not use them anymore would work to his advantage. A painful screech could be heard in his mind and once it ended Jeff saw a couple of the foes had transformed into fish like monstrous beings and would need to be dealt with. Sighing in frustration, he merely held out his hands and formed two energy swords in them so that he could fight. These villains would need to be dealt with, one of the reasons he had joined Arcadia was to keep the planet safe from threats like these. So, shifting into his prefferred battle stance Jeff closed his eyes for a moment, and then opened them once more. New determination burned in his eyes, as did rage. "You all go on ahead, I'll make sure we can evacuate when this is over." Edited by Cyberstrike, Dec 5 2011, 05:50 PM.

"This place looks creepy" Said Thianbang as she exits the portal, following behind Selene, flying in mid air. "That's because this is the home of a great old ones, and that tower over there is his bed room." Commented Zhimeng, whom as usual was riding on Thianbang's back, lazy girl. "Great old ones? Awesome!" "Not awesome, this is Cthulhu, and no, we are not talking about the boss of that lady in that light novel you must be thinking about, this is the version in Lovecraft's stories, beings that wants to kill us all, and not some aliens that loves Moe Japanese entertainment from Earth, understand?" The Chinese girl explained to her friend. "What? But how can that be... Ah!!!" Before she could ask further questions, a searing pain invaded her head, causing her to fall down to the ground. "Ouch! Pain!!! Both the fall and this damn headache!" Complained Zhimeng, "Stupid great old ones, bunch of buggers!" "Yume-Chan! This sound is giving me a headache." "Same here as well, now you understand why I say this Cthulhu we are going to face isn't those friendly E.Ts you read in that Japanese Light Novel? Also, stop calling me Yume-Chan, don't forget your name pronounced in Japanese also ends with the word Yume (Dream)!" And then, they saw the cultists turns into Fishmen. "Looks like it's time for some Sashimi. Come, ToanSai!" Zhimeng commented as she summoned her soul weapon, which is basically a very, very long Tang Saber, the ancient Chinese Knife that the Japanese Katana was based on, and then she rushed towards the cultists, and tries to slice down a few of them, "Help Commander Lavender and a few other bypass theses goons, fast! We have no time!" She said to her friend. "Understood." Said the witch as she raised up her shield to defend herself against the headache causing sounds, and takes off to the sky flying towards Lavender. "Lavender-Sensei!" She exclaimed, as she lands just beside her,"how about taking the air route? Faster." She explained, "I think I can carry one or two more other people to bypass the Fishmen and directly to the gate of the tower." Edited by Kounoko, Dec 4 2011, 04:13 AM.

Star squeezed Meglumar's hand as the mental assault hit, closing her eyes as the pain nearly overwhelmed her senses. She could feel the power within her rise up, resisting against the assault and she squeezed her eyes shut. She clamped down on the power that threatened to overwhelm her, quickly regaining control. She would not lose to it. She refused to lose to it. When her eyes opened, they flashed gold, before quickly receding into their usual violet. She nodded once at Meglumar to show that she was okay, slowly disentangling her hand from his. The ordeal had left her short of breath. She caught her breath and pressed her lips together in a determined line, raising her left arm in front of her so that her palm was at eye-level. Her eyes narrowed in concentration, and a warm golden glow surrounded her. The glow of light was muted, different from the usual flashy display of light that accompanied Star's attacks. Droplets of light collected at the tips of her fingers, shifting and forming a blade of light that extended from her arm outwards. Damon would recognize the technique. It was a mirror of J's light blade but slightly less refined, identical except for the fact that Star's blade was stationary while J's moved. It was the most efficient technique Star had, and it was the best thing she had for use at night. Light flashed around her right hand, forming a diamond shaped shield that was strapped to her right arm. The shield looked almost as if it was made of cut crystal, and was just large enough for Star to crouch behind it and hide herself. Alkaid, the blade taught to her by J, and Arcturus, her Soul Weapon. With those in hand, the photomancer charged forward, slashing quickly at the first of the cultists that blocked her way. "Tch." Chizu's eyes narrowed as the cultists transformed and moved to block their path, a scowl on her face. She didn't have time for this. She had bigger fish to fry. The last words she had exchanged with Nickle were still fresh in her mind. She needed to get home, and she needed to set things right. But to do that, she had to end this. "Outta the way!" she yelled, grabbing hold of the air to her right side with both hands. With a grunt of effort, she pulled, moving her arms in a half-circle as if she were swinging a particularly heavy baseball bat. The air followed, a wave of air barreling through the first line of cultists and swatting them aside. Chizu let go of the air and released it, straightening up and staring at the city. The fastest way to the city was simple. Over and up. The aeromancer crouched down and launched herself into the air with a powerful blast, spreading her arms and catching the air beneath her. She wrapped herself up in a stream of wind, using it to support her. "I've got you from the air," she said, skimming over the heads of the Arcadian members and taking to the skies. She soared towards the tower, making sure to match her flight speed with those on the ground and staying only a little ahead of them. She flung darts of wind at hidden opponents from her position, stopping them from ambushing the group. |

One does not simply eat one packet of mee goreng

Oh wow. Never once did he thought it would actually happen. There he was standing there with his fellow Arcadian at the shore of R'lyeh. In mere moments they would be off to face an abomination that was a threat to the entire Earth itself. It was actually quite hard to believe that it was only yesterday he had been arguing with Youma about who's supposed to take care of Cho the next day. He could remember that he gave in in the end, figuring he could at least get that new manga series while on his way to the vet. Quite unfortunate that the next day he was supposed to risk his life taking down a planet-eating abomination. Or whatever this Cthulhu is... ... Damn, how's he gonna keep his promise like this...? All those talk with Selene about going and coming back alive seemed so far away and sounded like something fantastical and naively optimistic for some reason. Or maybe he's just being pessimistic. Who knows, but either way, it doesn't seem like a good idea at the moment. As though he was actually regretting coming here with them. Was he being a hypocrite after all that talk and after all that happened? Was he simply being a coward? Maybe he had too much to lose. Or maybe he just didn't want to lose anything in the first place. There's too much, too much things that could happen that would potentially rip him off everything he had ever loved. Nay... he's not brave enough for that. He doesn't have the guts for it. Which is why at this very moment he's calling everyone else whom had charged in mad, crazy, loony. What the hell are they doing, why would they do so much at the risk of not getting anything back? What's the point of this, what's the gain? What's the prize? Keeping the world safe? Making sure it's not destroyed by some eldritch abomination? Sure, he supposed that's a valid excuse, but... what if you lose? What if you die, or went totally mad? Was it really all worth the risk? ...Maybe he shouldn't go? The others can handle it just fine, he supposed... Or maybe he's just as crazy as the others? Even crazier still? ... He turned around on the spot, facing away from the battlefield. What was he thinking, coming here in the first place? What was he thinking turning away from his friends who were so willingly tossing off their lives for the sake of others? What was he thinking, contradicting himself like this? Come up with a decision already, dammit. Do you want to go or-- "Guh...!" ---...\\asd go--32.=;;' not go/''??\[maybe-1#lose ever-`39}:thing-&^5/just nuts,-!---... He fell to his knees, his hands clutching his painfully throbbing head tight. \\-comeon112>`;'da]39ial;cdkillSQ~}+12 riskingld[sl2]--`..t//their lice==ves;1'sd- He was breathing heavily, panting slightly, sweat running down his neck as visions started to run past his mind. //;'j94[kdont you298cl;3 ]]'//`===d; killkill2'';`/:@@tw.2]]no i said ./<<dammi--21] V! "...Crud dammit kid, you're a coward..." V said in a solemn tone, with a small hint of excitement in his voice. H-huh? Since when- "Look at that. Everyone's going off to risk their lives for the sake of their loved ones, for the sake of strangers... and you're sitting here, getting ready to take a trip back home," Wait... what? I didn't- "No way," He got up to his feet. There was a faint smirk forming on his face as he turned around yet again to face the battlefield. "I'm not... letting this chance slide," Chance? What chance? This isn't a chance, this is a risk! A suicide mission that could potentially get everyone killed! "Of course it is," He said simply with a glance at the high tower of R'lyeh "But who do you think would be killed?" Not him that's for sure. The head start the others managed to get before him didn't even matter at the moment as he began to make a run towards the high tower, following the rest of the Arcadian and their lead. Seth's yell of protest went unheard as he charged past the humanoid fish abomination, his fists reaching out as far and as much as he could get to knock anything or anyone that came in his way. He's off to save the world. For all the wrong reason and motivation. |

Bocky stepped out of the portal and was ready to fight, what could be the final battle of everyone walking out their. He had spent his week training and even learning a few lessons on fighting. He was as ready as he was going to be. He took his staff off his back and stamped it into the ground, still holding onto it from the top. "Well guys this is it. Let's save the world!" He pulled his staff out of the ground and looked from the shores of R'lyeh towards the famous sunken city. He just knew this was going to be a long day. He continued towards the the city. following the lead of some of the other Arcadia members, when a massive pain hit him. His head felt like it was on fire, but he had to work through it. He gripped his staff with both hands and held it outward, both ends were facing outward and he extended each end by five feet. He was going to just run over any of the opposing fish guys. He called out to everyone "Time to go fishing!" and charged in. following behind some of the other members, towards the city. |

Lucidus looked around the island after stepping through the portal. He made a small sigh of annoyance. There was a giant chance that he would die however he knew that if he didn't help the world now it would come back to haunt him later. Mainly when the world was getting destroyed and stuff. He was ready for the finale, after all the events that had happened so far he was expecting this to be the most troublesome yet and despite being worried Lucidus was ready to give it his all. He didn't plan on dying anytime soon and he was going to make sure that no one else did. The city was hauntingly strange. It was something out of a dream, at this point though Lucidus wasn't sure if it was out of a dream or out of a nightmare. It disturbed Lucidus a great deal as they began to go towards the green light at the center, this was most likely the target that they were heading towards. The BPRD had arrived already and Lucidus looked around as they fought against the cultists. Suddenly a large audible groan occured and Lucidus felt a searing pain grow through his mind. It was a strong mental pain and Lucidus had to calm down to keep concentration. He tried to get rid of the mental pain from his head. Lucidus managed to look towards the cultists who began to contort and change into wierd fish men. That was not a good sign, this was the very opposite it was a terrible sign, for all Lucidus knew they could be hundreds of times stronger now. Still there was no turning back now so he would have to give it his all against these creatures. "Well, no turning back now. Tiem to show them what we've got." Lucidus said with a smile, he materialized his soul weapon Black Fate in his axe form and began to rush towards the fishmen with a quick horizontal slice aimed at the closest one. |

NICE DRIVE!
|
As Arcadia's assault began they found the Deep Ones rather easy to dispatch. Their powerful attacks made on those blocking the advance to the tower easily dispatched them. It seemed that while they were incredibly strong, this strength did not give them much resilience; especially against everyone's powers. Their true strength laid simply in their numbers. However, things were about to get a lot more complicated. Another low groan emanated from within the tower at the center of the island once again ravaging everyone's mind making it feel as if their very skull might split open at any moment. As if answering to this call the ground ahead of Hiro Tsukasa and the others began to quake and tremble before exploding apart. From the gaping hole that had formed emerged a gigantic Deep One-like entity. In comparison to the members of Arcadia he seemed to be about the size of a small house. ![]() "He'sssss come!" one of the nearby Deep Ones cried with adoration and glee, "Father Dagon hassss appeared!" This being, now identified as Dagon, roared with an unwholesome voice as it drew back one of its massive claws and thrusted it forth hoping to smash those at the front of the group. Instinctively, Hiro raised Tyrfing in defense and a loud crash resounded as dust was kicked in all directions. As the dust cleared Hiro was struggling against one of the claws barely holding it up from impacting the ground. "Shit," Hiro scoffed with frustration before shouting back to the others, "Persona Users advance on the Tower. Everyone else, I want a few of you to stay back with me to deal with this guy. The rest of you proceed with the group!" ==== Meanwhile, others had more creative ideas about reaching the tower. Taking advantage of her very best talents Chizu opted to fly through the grim skies themselves and avoid the entire series of delays that were being put in place. However, roughly the same time Dagon emerged, one of the many black clouds in the sky seemed to start moving faster on its own in her direction. As the cloud got closer she saw this was not simply a cloud but a large flock of frightening looking creatures: ![]() Within moments the entire flock of Nightgaunts would be upon her if she continued to try and approach the tower from the sky. From the front of the pack a single Nightgaunt broke off and dove ahead rushing directly towards Chizu prepared to claw and slash at her with all its might. |

Sho fell on her knees from the next mind roar. Ryo picked her up and touch her head, sending a low voltage shock through her brain to stop the pain for a little while. "You help Hiro,"Ryo told her. "Like heck I'm stay back without you. I'm going. I can at least give you terrain benefits,"she replied. Her defiant look said she wouldn't change her mind. Ryo sighed. "Fine. But you run when I tell you too. I don't want you getting killed,"he said. "Let's go!"Ryo said as he grabbed Sho's arm and charged on ahead. Sho stopped him and she looked at the giant beast. "Run now,"she said and they both began to run. The ground beneath Dagon began to moan as it became more and more like soft sand. What was still solid began to crack under Dagon's great weight and would cause him to lose his footing if he wasn't quick enough to understand what was happening at his feet. They kept running and passed Dagon. |
