Terado waved his hand casually, dismissing Saya's concerns for the mess, "It matters not. Your offering is hardly a mess compared to the others. I'll leave it there for the day." However, that was when Terado realised something that Saya had said. She didn't have anyone buried here? Then to whom was she paying her respects to? He leaned down a bit to look at her, "Its odd really, bringing and offering for the spirits in general and not for someone close to you. Are you trying to appease them for some reason? Or are you simply asking for their blessing?" Terado seemed to recall during the game of monster basketball that this girl had been depicted a some kind of red oni. Was there some sort of shadow looming over her? He couldn't exactly tell. Her magical aura seemed normal enough, but perhaps there was something he was overlooking. Terado stood at full height, looking down at the girl and placing a hand on his hip, while using the other one to gesture as he spoke, "Tell me a bit about yourself. Spirits can't exactly help with problems you may have. I on the other hand aren't dead, so I could offer an ear and some advice if you feel so inclined to indulge me further." |

Saya leaned slightly back when he moved down looking at her. "Its odd really, bringing and offering for the spirits in general and not for someone close to you. Are you trying to appease them for some reason? Or are you simply asking for their blessing?" She raised an eyebrow, wow, he was just jumping to conclusions all over the place wasn't he? The redhead's eyebrows furrowed a bit but before she could respond the man stood back to his full height (Damn he was tall...) "Tell me a bit about yourself. Spirits can't exactly help with problems you may have. I on the other hand aren't dead, so I could offer an ear and some advice if you feel so inclined to indulge me further." Saya frowned. "You've got it wrong. I'm not appeasing general spirits. All cemeteries are closer to heaven are they not? And since the ones I'm offering to have no graves I come here in hopes that they might hear my apo-- prayers." The short girl crossed her arms, for just a moment she glanced to a nearby grave with a look that could be no better explained except as regret, though it only lasted a few moments before she looked back up at the man. "Aside from that I've already visited the shrine and petitioned the gods for the other problem I have." She let out a slight sigh. He seemed like the persistant sort of person otherwise he wouldn't have asked so many questions in the first place, but she still didn't particularly know why she was forthcoming with any information at all. "Ah, that's right you're alive. The problems I'm dealing with are not from the realms of the living but from those of demons and spirits. And so who better to ask for help with such entities than the gods themselves? I'm afraid there is not much you can do to help with my problems." She spoke calmly with somewhat of a resigned shrug. To be perfectly honest she doubted the gods would so choose to help one they'd chosen to curse, but what else could she do? Sure the man before her was no ordinary one, but what do werewolves know of spirits and yokai? |

Terado scratched his head for a moment. Cemetaries were closer to corpses than heaven in his opinion. Churches and shrines seemed like the more logical choice to Terado personally. Terado didn't speak, but simply watched Saya carefully and listened to what she had to say. He smiled then, "Well I'm not sure exactly how I can help you if you don't give me a chance after all." He looked up slightly at the sky, the sun shining down on them at an angle that was not harsh enough to cause one to shield their eyes. "There's often a mistake made, that werewolves are considered immortal due to how fast they can heal. Its not true. All zoanthropes die with age. But not me...I've lived countless lifetimes," he looked down at Saya, "Because I was blessed with immortality by the god of earth Gaia." It had happened so long ago, but Terado could never forget it, when he was promisd that while he could still die, he would never age. That way, he could keep fighting the good fight on Nova Oasis. However, Terado wasn't there anymore. He was here in Hyakuji. He smiled at Saya, "From my experience, a lot of the time the Gods don't give you something easily, they often choose someone on earth to help you through it. In my lifetime I have dealt with great spirits of the earth and demon realms alike, sealing them away so that they would not harm anyone ever again. I might know a thing or two that could help." He then slowly began to walk past her, "Its your call if you'd like to tell me or not." he started to walk slowly towards a nearby shed where his cleaning supplies and tools were. |

Saya frowned slightly listening to the man speak, saying how he was immortal and had been blessed by Gaia, and that in his experience Gods help not directly but more or less through other people. Well, it wasn't too hard to think that as true, but the gods tended to kill whatever other people got close to Saya, family, friends, mentors, even the last person she met here, though it started with battle, even they disappeared... "In my lifetime I have dealt with great spirits of the earth and demon realms alike, sealing them away so that they would not harm anyone ever again. I might know a thing or two that could help." Saya's eyebrows furrowed as he walked past. She debated for a moment in her mind as to whether she should divulge more information or not, but truly what was the worst that could happen? "... it's not particularly harmful, simply troublesome and annoying. There's a tengu following me. He has been for some time, claims that I'm his master and that he will follow me. He says it's because I am strong and that I am like him, though won't elaborate beyond that much and rarely leaves me alone unless I threaten him. But even then he returns the next day or so." Saya crossed her arms, still facing away from him. If he could help that'd be useful, but if not... well she wasn't expecting much anyways. |

Terado was listening as he rummaged in the shed looking for the broom and a pallette in which to sweep away the various remains of the offerings he had hosed down. A tengu? Terado had heard of such demons, rarely if ever encountering them. They were a breed of Others, humanoid, but with with red faces and wings like birds. They were typical in Japan as much as a Banshee was in Ireland. Terado had been ensuring that his magical aura was not exposed during the day while he worked and cleaned, so he was not particularily bothered in asking a question or two about the tengu. The cut on his hand hadn't healed entirely yet, so a portion of his blood had sadly stained the handle. "Is that why you come to pray? Did this spirit following you do something you didn't want it to?" Terado was silent for a moment, looking at Saya before speaking again. "So, this tengu. Do you have some kind of deal with it? Does it simply attack people that are around you and knows about its pressence?" Terado's eyes closed for a moment, before opening again, now yellow and with predatory slits for pupils as he looked at Saya and the area around her, "Is it around here now?" If it was, how would it react if it realized Terado was looking for it and possibly seeing it? |

"Is that why you come to pray? Did this spirit following you do something you didn't want it to?" "It's why I went to the shrine yesterday, yes." Saya paused and furrowed her eyebrows at the second question. "Well, following me is something I don't want it to do. It hasn't really done much else. Although it did try to come into my dorm room once." She said with a frown before crossing her arms. "So, this tengu. Do you have some kind of deal with it? Does it simply attack people that are around you and knows about its pressence?" "What? No not at all. I have no deal with it and it hasn't attacked anyone. Although it keeps wanting me to go through the ritual to make it my ko--" She paused, trying to think of a word less... associated with the darker side of the world. "My employee? subordinate? something like that I suppose. I haven't done so and told him several times that I refuse entirely... but the little bastard just does as he wishes and continues to follow me around." The red-head sighed. "Is it around here now?" "Hm? I don't think so. I haven't seen him yet today." She said glancing around and balling one hand into a fist. Oh if that little bastard was here, well she might just kill him for real. If he didn't evade her as usual... Her dark-violet eyes scanned around the cemetery and area. She saw a few vague spirits, but no monsters... "I don't think he's here though..." |

So it only followed her around? That was strange for a Tengu, especially if it wanted to make a contract with Saya. It was still Saya's decision whether she'd accept or not, that was only natural, but what got to Terado was the fact that it kept following and coming back. Why did it want to make a pact with Saya so badly? "I'd be careful if I were you. There's a reason those avian demons have a red face. I'm worried that this Tengu might eventually get frustrated and lash out to prove its worth. Have you given some thought to such a situation unfolding?" Truth be told Terado didn't know much of the situation, but he could guess. He stroked his chin for a moment, "With your permission, I'd like to summon this Tengu so I can have a word with it personally." It wasn't a complicated procedure really. Saya naturally gave off an aura considering she was aware of a Tengu following her, but if Terado was to seal that aura temporarily, she'd vanish off the grid as it were. If Terado was to unseal his own aura, then the thing might come running to see if she was alright. If someone who it so badly wanted to be contracted to vanished, the natural reaction would be to inspect and see what happened. Even if it was in the area for a moment, Terado would have him. |
