Character Name: Dakota Anthony Gender: Female (Genderbent, See Story) Age: 15 Height: 5’ Weight: 95 Lbs. Description or Image of Character Appearance: She doesn't actually wear that outfit unless she has no choice, and prefers to wear a simple t-shirt and shorts, long-sleeved shirt and pants, or whatever else she can find that's gender neutral. Standard Appearance Chibi Mode Occupation: Arcade Employee Student Grade Level: Sophomore Powers/ Abilities: Shadowmancy When Dakota's body was stabilized, so was her elemancy. Dakota's method of elemancy involves techniques that hit like a ton of bricks, but are exhaustive and inefficient, meaning that while you do not want to be on the wrong end of one of her attacks, she can't use them more than 4 or 5 times in a battle, along with a solid number of uses of her restraining techniques to make it more difficult for them to dodge. Execution Tree Killing Sphere- Having spent a while at Hyakuji, Dakota has learned more potent shadowmancy attacks. Dakota creates a small sphere of compressed shadow, about the size of a softball, and tosses it at the enemy. If it hits, it creates a small burst that deals 2/3 of the amount of damage a concussion grenade does. Dakota can use one every other post. Range- 20m Shadow Needles- The stabilized version of Dark Thunder. Not conventional lightning, it's merely many strands of darkness flying out and the same time. Where it hits, they spread out, and skewer cells on such a level that damage resembles burns. The move is so far only powerful enough to inflict a fair bit of second degree burns for the first hit with it on an average person. Subsequent hits can up them to third degree. While the burning patterns resemble electricity, the appearance of such a burn is similar to a chemical burn. Range: 15 m. Shadow Impalement- The stabilized version of dark burst. This technique forms a jagged chunk of dark energy from the palm of her hand. It's executed fairly quickly, but the range is short, and she's no martial artist, so actually landing it is tricky business. The attack is more powerful the closer the target. If in perfect contact with the targets flesh, the first attack would probably cut the target area down to it's muscle in the affected area. At half it's max distance, it's likely to cause fairly severe bleeding. At a quarter, the wounds are superficial in nature. Range: 3 In. from the user's palm. Restraint Tree Shadow Grasps- A simple but reliable restraining technique. The user actually uses the opponent's shadow to creates short tendrils about x2.5 as long as her hand from wrist to fingertip, and uses it to snare the opponent's ankles. The tendrils are weak; the average teen might take a second and a half to two seconds to break them, likely less for people with above average lower body strength. This technique is laughed at by anyone with superhuman agility or speed. Another weakness is that they can ignore it entirely if they are even moving at walking speed, unless Dakota is so sure that they'll be in some spot, she starts the technique there (which is mostly like 'this area looks like it'd be good cover, I'll bet they move here') It's still effective in that it's design is too snare the opponent so they can't dodge one of her execution techniques. Range: 30 m. Augmentation Tree Reload Adorable Perhaps the strangest elemancy power ever, reload adorable is a powerful technique, but comes at a cost. When used, Dakota regains 75% of her maximum elemental stamina. This, however, is accomplished by freeing up a large chunk the energy that would usually be used keeping her together; this could be said to be the 'stabilized' version of her old 'cast from HP' abilities. That's where a secondary function comes in. She's effectively reduced to a secondary form that's smaller and weaker, think a 'reverse super form'. She doesn't have any control over what her secondary form is, and it turns out that it's an adorable chibi version of herself that wears a gothic lolita dress (this is not something she's happy about). In this form, she's reduced to half her normal height (2' 6") with a higher voice. While her elemancy's power is left untouched, she's reduced to 1/2 her usually strength and speed. Wounds are 'scaled' to the form, but she will often take more damage from physical attacks, simply because they're twice as large (oddly, the pain is the same though, meaning she doesn't suffer an effective loss of resilience to attacks in this way, even if the wounds are greater). She is left in this state for the rest of the day, requiring a good night's sleep to regain the energy required to return to normal. As a result, by implication, this technique can only be used once per day. On a minor note, she can willing spend 5 seconds, if she focuses, to choose to shift between her chibi form and her basic form, provided that she wasn't shifted into Chibi Form due to the effect. This little function of this power can't be used in battle. Pain-Based Health Having been transformed into a being of shadows, she doesn't have blood to spill or whatnot. While you can defeat her if you make her head come off, the main way you have to beat her now is to put her in enough pain that she's knocked out. What causes her pain? Anything that should cause a human pain, ranging from sledgehammer to poisons. Even if it doesn't have the ability to hurt her as she is, such as with poisons, her mind will be pretty sure it should hurt like crap. Most painkillers won't work on her though, so Advil or Tylenol is not a 'health potion' for her. The only way to kill her permanently is to use energy attacks to destroy 80% of her body, or through forcing her soul to the afterlife / destroying her soul, ect. Equipment You Have: None Residency Request: Yuki House Schedule: Homeroom: Hiro 1) Supernatural Studies 2) Phys Ed 3) History Homeroom Teacher: Hiro 1: Supernatural Studies 2: Phys Ed LUNCH 3: History Personality Description: Dakota isn’t exactly feminine, understandable, given her history. She tends to be fairly calm and friendly most the time, except being quick to anger. She tends to make a decent number of quips and jokes as well. Also, never hit on her if you’re a guy, and know she used to be a he. It won’t end well. Trust me. She’s fairly smart, but not a genius. She tends to be fairly competitive too. More than anything, she wants to be treated like one of the guys, even if she isn’t one anymore. On the flip side, she isn’t into feminine things, being forced to do them embarrasses her, and generally is still upset about being turned into a girl. At first glance, she appears to be handling her losses, of her former sex, her parents, and everything else with amazing resiliency. However, it's only a facade, and underneath it lies a very hurt and very lost girl, who can only thank a strong will for her ability to continue trying to move forward at all. Personal History: Dakota Anthony was born in a small American town called Fallbrook. Dakota lacked a mystical bloodline, a magic sword, a wizard’s apprenticeship, supernatural strength, or any other power. He had a dagger he carried for self defense, but that’s all he had. Yes, he. Dakota was born a boy. We’ll get to that shortly. During the last month of Junior High school, Dakota’s hometown had a rash of strange murders, with no rational explanation. Police advised people to lock their doors. However, fate decided to then give Dakota a terrible night. During the latter part of summer break, late at night, a bunch of dark robbed cultist burst into his house, and murdered his parents. Dakota practically bolted out of bed at the first sign of their attacks, and ran downstairs with his dagger. He leapt towards a cultist, trying to kill him, but he was attacked by a bolt of dark lightning, almost knocking him unconscious. He heard a vague conversation before passing out. “He proved to have the will to withstand my attack. I think he will be able to withstand our plans. Take him a…” there he went unconscious. Hours later, he awoke chained to a wall, there everything was explained. A living person was needed to act as a conduit of darkness. He had been the only one to have the will not to be killed by their attack, which is needed to withstand the transfer of mind and soul to a body that had been artificially made with those powers. Dakota was brought to a ritual room, where a soulless, artificial body was brought in for Dakota’s mind and soul to be transferred to. The problem? It was a female body. They had not known what kind of body would be needed ahead of time, and the first few guesses to who could were all female. Dakota was promptly knocked out with a night stick, and the ritual began, his original male body turning to dust as his mind and soul was transferred to the artificial female body they had brought. He found himself strapped to a strange machine, and was essentially about to be used as a living battery. However, a team paladins came in and busted them up, apparently the cult had multiple sects, and were seen as a moderate threat by the Paladins from the Order of the Silver Circle. They then learned about Dakota’s tale of woe. With only two weeks before school started, Dakota went through rigorous training to be able to be able to control the absolute basics of her new powers. She was enlisted Shin Hyakuji so she might be able to fully control her new powers. --Machine Empire Arc-- Dakota arrived at Hyakuji with her powers, and was quickly advised by Kira, another genderbent character, to obscure her status. She obliged. Joining the elemancers, she participated in a solving a few incidents, including that involving the mysterious true ancestors. She also made good friends with Artemis. After an incident involving the last battle against the psychotic Euphaire, Dakota was distabalized, and eventually had to be reconstructed into a shadow elemental by the aeons. RP Sample: A creepy looking girl, wearing the school uniform steps out of a car driven by a man with white and gold armor. “Thanks for everything!” she shouts, as the paladin drives away. Her pleasant façade breaks, as she grimaces, and tugs on the skirt she had to wear. “So… Humiliating.” she grumbles to nobody in particular. Her humiliating with her clothes continues. Walking forward, she trips, and falls. One of her uniform shoes falls off, and she stares at it, and grumbles “Stupid heels.” “Out of all the freakin’ people in the freakin’ world, I get turned into a freakin’ girl by a freakin’ cult. What are the freakin odds of that?” she thinks for herself, before continuing to walk inside. Mashed Potatoes? The Proof is in the Pudding Edited by Tzauri, Jun 27 2014, 02:00 AM.
