Hyakuji 2.0 Template Character Name: Katase "Kit" Tatsuya Gender: Female Age: 22 Height: 5'6 Weight: 130 Description or Image of Character Appearance: ![]() Occupation: Mischief maker, underground brawler Powers/ Abilities: Magnetokinesis: She can shape and manipulate magnetic fields that exist naturally or artificially. She can thus lift, move, and manipulate objects containing metallic properties. On the flip side, she finds herself 'allergic' to electricity and properties of the sort as a source of a conductor. Her powers are limited to the amount of energy she has. The more fatigued, the less she's able to do. Mercury is her favorite poison as the liquid metal bends easily to her will, morphing into little dartlings to pierce skin and infect them from the inside out. This takes less energy. Ripping out the insides of buildings and other constructs takes a bit more energy depending on the amount she's manipulating and what she's shaping it into. At her finest, she can gut all of the metal bits from a room. Imagine a katamari ball the size of a small car? The more mass, the harder it is for her to control effectively. Equipment You Have: Nothing but a frayed backpack with a change of clothes, scraps of metal and glass vials of a silvery liquid. Residency Request: None, atm. Personality Description: This new Kit reflects fragments of the old one, bits of lucid moments peeking through the crazed and dangerous spectre of the old Kit. Prone to bipolar snapping and lashing out violently, unprovoked. Personal History: Without any recollection of life before she was nine, Katase fought with the strife of a lost past. Physicians and psychiatrists convinced her that her past was better off left in the dark. They all rationalized that whatever skeletons lurked in her closet had traumatized her severely enough for her mind to push the memories out of her head. Coupled with her unknown powers, Katase had a hard time settling in to one place for a long time. She discovered her powers at first when she became angry and something metallic in her possession would warp and distort without applying physical force. She became fearful that it would harm someone trying to help her and grew very distant from people. Inside, she wanted a stable home and friends to call her own. Unconditional love. Blinded by false attention, she moved into a 'home' where she had a relatively stable home life. Her new guardians put her under a solid roof with her own room, 3 meals a day, and they left her alone as long as she kept her nose out of trouble. 'Socially indifferent' as she was defined, she fell into a group of friends also labeled under a similar category. Though they didn't have any physical traits that stood out as 'indifferent' they were what society liked to call juvenile delinquents. She felt comfortable around them in a luke-warm friendship. They acknowledged her as a valuable asset to the team but kept her at a distance, as if leashed. They gave her a false sense of security with little nicknames like "Kit, Kat, Kitty" or something of that nature, most of which stemmed from her initial nickname to the group, 'Kid' because she was the youngest. Her powers came in good use around the group and were made useful especially during their illegal looting of stolen goods. A lock without a key? No problem. Their break-ins seemed too intricate to be the workings of a bunch of juvenile delinquents. Eventually, they caught on and Kit was the one who was put under the spotlight. Her friends had told her that if she took the blame, they would figure out a way to get her out of whatever the authorities would throw her way. She did a foolish thing and trusted them. Taking the blame, she took sole responsibility for everyone's actions and was sent into a correctional facility after pleading guilty for multiple charges, mainly for larsony. Though, they caught on to the extent of her powers and put her in a stronger holding cage, eliminating all sources of metal. There, she was put in solitary confinement. Though, something about Kit's willingness to sit there without a single complaint bothered the persecutors, moreover. The missing items were never found and Kit had nothing to show for it, even though she repeatedly stood by the lie that she was working solo. Eventually, they figured that she was covering for either one or more other people. Kit stuck to her guns, however. It wasn't until they got caught again and turned against Kit's trust. They blamed her for turning them in when it was their own sloppy recklessness. She'd been loyal to them through and through. Eventually, Kit was released on smaller charges but that house that she was living in no longer became a safe haven for her. The rules were she had to keep her nose clean. Residence in solitary confinement clearly broke the rules so she was kicked out for the last time. Broken, she couldn't stand to be a burden to another foster family willing to put her under their roof. Instead, she had heard rumors before she went into solitary confinement. A place where people like her went to school and helped each other. She was still young, after all. She had mellowed out and didn't wish to end her life before it had begun. She researched the rumors she had heard and made it her mission to get there. Eventually, she had arrived at the place she had dreamed of. Hyakuji. It had its quirks and it was then that she decided that she would start over and make a good life for herself. Hyakuji High would only be the end of the beginning of the rest of her life. In the years to come at Hyahi, Kit was an active member of the community and the sky was the limit. Upon arriving, she quickly grew to love the place and soon grew attached to it. Every little detail fascinated her. It was home. Finally. Soon after she enrolled at the school, she was an active member of society and became involved with the dojo and practiced using her chakra. She gained recognition among the teachers there and soon one teacher Ayame Tatsuya (Also a teacher at the school itself) took Kit under her wing and adopted her. Kit took up Ayame's last name and Ayame was given 'Mother' status. During this time, Ayame ran a organization in which the members were named as "Kitnin". Kit joined their ranks for a short time while they resided in the town. For a while, Ayame would disappear on trips and various missions. As many mysteries began to unfold around her and her friends, Kit decided to chase one particular story which involved a teacher at the school being related to some sort of street gang. Her and her close friend Jameson decided to investigate a lab that supposedly belonged to this teacher. While trespassing, things didn't go as well as they would have planned and they ran directly into the supposed teacher. The confrontation was explosive and turned out to have been a very fatal mistake. While Kit was apprehended, Jameson was able to get away miraculously. Kit, however, wasn't so fortunate. She hardly remembered her time there because the teacher had erased her memories of the event. Jameson later tried to fill her in on what she had forgotten... That is, after her involvement with Kyrios. As it turned out, that teacher had tampered with her head, somehow, disabling her use of chakra. Still, Kit is unable to figure out just what blocked this. In pursuit of solving the riddle of this organization, Kit decided she'd be a spy and try to destroy the organization from the inside out. The problem was, she signed up for the wrong organization. She was tricked. Naski, leader of Kyrios, another organization, lead her to the base and had her memories suppressed so she could be an important asset to him-- A tool used to kill. This wasn't part of Kit's plan. Not at all. She was lost in her own mind, fighting and killing because thats all she was told to do. Eventually though, she found herself again with the help of another teacher at the school. He unlocked her memories and she would fix the problems she had created. Though, when she returned to face Naski, he had already disappeared and had left the entire organization to her and one other member, Robert. Kit had had enough of it already and gathered the members after talking to Robert. She decided she'd make a break from Kyrios entirely, regardless of the consequences... But, before she could act, time stood still. The school that she had loved so dearly was torn down. She never found out the real reason but rumors were that a fire had caught in some part of the building and funds were low so the entire school had to be shut down. Not too long after, three wealthy families stepped in to build a new school. Now, months later, only memories of the last school remain. Her efforts with Kyrios seemed to have been forgotten with time. She had graduated, but she wasn't sure if she'd ever be able to leave. Some years passed and eventually, Kit left Hyakuji to pursue other things. All the people that she grew to love and admire moved on to other places and she had no other reason to stay. A fresh breath, a change of scenery would be healthy for her. She moved from place to place, using her 'gift' to stay afloat financially. Underground fighting and gambling became more than a job, but something of an obsession. Still, she tried to remain true to the person she was inside. She returned, years later, with a new vendetta. Something about her seems jaded now. Those bright blue eyes flicker with something.... dangerous. Sample, for the lulz: "Checkmate." Kit breathed, sweat beading her forehead. Her posture was tense, her hands raised gesturing a sort of helplessness and then man who had the gun pressed to the back of her head grinned. "So, you yield, then?" The man boasted, nudging the gun against the back of her head. "No, you do." She smirked, unmoving. "And I wouldn't fire that gun if I were you." she advised. "Those things kill people." Frustrated by her tone, the man grunted and gripped Kit by the back of the shirt, yanking her back. "Still cocky huh? Evidently you don't realize this is a fight to the death. Anything goes! There are no second chan--..." The man's eyes bulged as he choked on his words. He released his grip on Kit's shirt to clutch his own chest, grinding his teeth in pain. Kit spun around to face him, a playful smirk still lingering on her features as the gun now lined up between her eyes. "Yield." She cooed, reaching a dirty hand up to flick his nose. "Its been fun, but you lost.. Give up now and you might still live." Her tone was oddly cheerful, despite the gun in her face. "And get that gun outta my face, will ya? Don't you know thats impolite?" She tilted her head to the side, raising a hand to meet the barrel of the gun to brush it away from her face. The man urked, his face turning redder with each passing moment. "G--urk! Dammit!" He gurgled, his hand trembling. He was sweating profusely now. "This ends now!!" He growled, summoning what little strength was left of him to hold the gun steady in her face and pulled the trigger. Click. The crowd roared and hollered at the turn of events as Kit crossed her arms about her chest. A seemingly bored expression lulled over her now as she watched him struggle, complexed at why her brain wasn't spattered against the gritty floor. She shook her head and turned around again, walking toward the exit of the arena. Meanwhile, the man dropped to his knees, staring in horror at Kit's back as she walked away, nearly unharmed. He then passed out, the gun clattering to the floor beside him. Medics ran to the scene, drawing up a stretcher as they began tending to his injuries while the crowd roared as the final scenes played out. They shouted for her to finish him while she continued walking, ignoring their murderous requests... Scumbags and lowlives that paid hard cash to watch people beat each other up for large cash prize.. Corrupt gamblers that placed bets on who'd die and how fast were common visitors to these underground arenas. Kit barged into 'Boss's' office as he sat at his desk with a mountain of cash piled high. He puffed at his cigar and looked up at her, "You couldn't be a little more flashy, today? No spiraling blades or anything? Just your pocketknife?" Boss whined. Kit shrugged, shoving one hand in her pocket and the other one at him, wiggling fingers awaiting her cash, "I told you already. I'm not an actress.. And you never pay me what you promise.. Maybe I'll show you something flashy." She grinned toothily. Boss snerked and reached for his glock that rested in the sling under his arm. "You took him out quicker then last time.. You couldn't draw it out a little longer?" He sneered. Before Boss had time to finish reaching for his gun, Kit's extended hand curled, fingers folding to resemble a gun, pointing her pointer and middle finger at him. "Don't. You don't want to play that shit with me. Give me my money." She retorted curtly, one brow twitching in irritation. "You don't pay me to act, like I said.." She growled, irritated in having to repeat herself. "You pay me to fight. I won, pay up. Maybe throw in another couple'a grand next time and I'll let the next sorry sucker bleed me a little bit, huh? Make him feel like he's got the upper hand.." She scoffed. Boss groaned, chucking several wrapped large bills into a brown paper bag and threw it at Kit. "What'll it cost to see you lose?" Boss smirked. "Lose?" Kit's ears perked up and her eyes narrowed on the man. "I never lose. Find me a real challenge next time, huh? Quit pickin' up these slummy ruffians off the streets, 'kay?" Mashed Potatoes? THERE IS NO SPOON, DAMMIT. Edited by Katase, Oct 28 2011, 10:56 PM.
