"Oh, haaaa... is that so..." Nervously he scratched his head, unsure whether or not he was supposed to sound sympathetic or delighted. He wasn't even sure what he was supposed to be delighted about so... was he supposed to sound sympathetic? Wait, why would he even feel like that for someone else whom he had barely known? And on that topic too... Enh. Too much trouble. "Eyaa, so I'm an expert now?" He couldn't help but puff out his chest in mock pride, rubbing his nose as he gave a smirk. "Huuhuu~ listen well my apprentice. Having fun in an amusement park would take an incomprehensible amount of concentration and dedication," Just like a trainer of the army or something similar. "Easily the most important rule when trying to have fun in an amusement park..." He shrugged, dropping off the act and back to his amiable self. "I dunno. Just have fun?" Really, that's it about enjoying the amusement park. No rules, no holding back, just let yourself loose and go wild. Not THAT wild, but you get the idea. "If you don't mind," He held out his hand for her, a light smile forming on his face. It really has been quite a while since he went to an amusement park with someone else. Really was a nice change after going around with nobody else to accompany him other than the metavirus inside his head ranting about the best stall to get cotton candies or something. It gets boring after a while listening to that snarky little voice in his head that doesn't seem to want to shut up no matter what he does. He did his best to avoid making her pay, running up to the attendant for all the places they went first before anything else could happen to make a deal with them, so that he could pay by working part time some other time or something. It helps being a regular to this place. Other than the depressing idea of knowing that he would have a completely packed schedule by next week, it has been a very delightful trip around the whole amusement park. "Man, that was fun!" He said, tossing his arms up in the air as he yelled out of sheer awesomeness and fulfillment. "It's been a while since I've ever went around with someone else, so this is really quite a change," He said, walking backwards as he turned around to face Cerium, the big grin on his face hardly unnoticeable. "Well then! I think we still have time for one more ride," He said, glancing at a random clock hanging in one of the store. The sun itself was nearly setting, bathing the whole park with it's cool reddish glow. "Anything that strikes your fancy?" |

She watched Seth with a smile on her face, giggling a little at his antics. She liked how he was acting now, it was more like a regular teenager and less like a serial killer who wanted his face to be as emotionless as a doll's. She listend to him give his speech on how to enjoy an amusement part to the fullest and nodded eagerly at his final answer, "Sounds like a good idea as any! You might even consider going into teacher yourself one day Seth-kun~" said Cerium mischeviously. It was funny really, but Hyakuji seemed to have that affect on people. After all, Nickle was a teacher for a while. Cerium watched as Seth held out his hand and her lips curled upwards slightly in a slightly grin. She placed on of her plushie's hands in Seth's, while she held the other one, "I don't mind at all~" she replied as they made their way into the carnival. ------------------------------------------------ Cerium had really enjoyed her time with Seth today, he had actually been such a gentleman, taking care of the pay and striking deals, but having no idea that Cerium was in fact paying for the rides and such while his back was turned. She didn't have the heart to put him through loops like that, especially seeing as it was ehr request that he show her around. As they disembarked from the previous ride, Cerium was feeling her face blush a bit and her heart racing. Her adrenalin really was up. "Wow! I never knew you could be thrown around like that on a ride and still be safe! That was awesome!" She said completely high on her own excitement and thrill. When Seth asked her what she wanted to ride last, Cerium placed her finger to her mouth, as she hugged her plushie, "I think...I want to ride that over there." She said pointing towards teh Ferris Wheel. She smiled sweetly and for once, actually spoke sincerely, "It would be nice to end things off nice and slow and watch the sunset." ...A teacher... eh? ~~~~~ "A Ferris wheel? In for something a bit melancholic, I see," He folded his arm and nodded in approval. "Impressive, you sure are learning quick. Not everything has to end with a bang for it to be memorable," He said that, but he does have a preference for something that ends with a big loud bang. It's an inevitable fate for a boy. They made their way towards the gargantuan Ferris wheel, stopping for a moment at the entrance to admire the grandness and the subtle show of power of it as it slowly revolves on its axis, bringing its riders up to tower all the buildings Hyakuji has to offer (except maybe the behemoth of a Frostfire Corporation building) and giving everyone a bird's eye view of the lively city of Hyakuji. As usual he once again went up to the attendant to offer himself as a part-timer (without realizing that his offer was made moot by Cerium who had paid for the ride seconds later). Once their carriage arrived along with their turn, he played the rare role of a gentleman (which isn't exactly a hard feat considering that he does work as a butler), opening the door for her and said "Ladies first," with an unnaturally charming smile. For some reason I hate him now. I know how you feel. *pats* The moment they took their seat the carriage door shuddered as it began to take its routine circular route around the whole gigantic wheel. The carriage went higher and higher everything around them goes under, seemingly becoming smaller than anything as they were brought high up into the air. It didn't take long for them to reach the very top of the Ferris wheel. The view from the window was nothing short of breathtaking. Buildings looked like little sticks and gray colored bricks from up above, and the people flooding around the whole city looked like little ants, going on with their daily lives. Some going back home after a long day of work, some going back to work after another intern decided to take the day off for who knows whatever the reason. "You can see everything from here," He muttered with a small grin on his face, resting his elbow on the windowsill and propping his head on his hand. It's not exactly an alien sight for the butler, seeing as he was used to a view from much higher. Still, if you can't appreciate the small things, you don't have any rights to appreciate the bigger stuff. Yeah... gotta appreciate the small things. ...Yep. And that should also include the little life he had in him. ... "...Say... do you really think I can be a teacher...?" Perhaps it was too specific of a question, considering what he currently have in mind. |

Cerium smiled as Seth allowed her to enter the Ferris wheel first, "Arigato~" she said sweetly, looking back and waving a brief thank you good-bye to the man working the ferris wheel. He seemed to be scowling a little at Seth, but that was his problem, not hers or Seth's. As the Ferris Wheel began to go around, Cerium really, really looked like she had the innocence of a child for a moment. It was her first time on a Ferris Wheel and she was amazed by the sight of everything from down below. It had a special magic about it all, if one could say that. She nodded at Seth's comment happily, looking at him, "Yeah! You really can!" She said before looking out over the theme park again. Cerium turned her head, her mouth a bit open when Seth asked her a question of whether or not he could be a teacher. She had been sitting on the opposite side of the compartment of the closed Ferris wheel booth they were in, probably each could hold a max of four people, two on each side. She moved over to Seth's side, sitting next to him and nodding, "I'm sure you could really. See, there are certain key characteristics you have that make you a teacher. You have a fun attitude, which makes people respond to you and you're attentive to the needs of others," considering he was prepared to work here to pay for all the rides he didn't know Cerium had paid for. "You're also willing to give of yourself. You don't seem selfish. That's important for a teacher, because it basically means your life is about imparting knowledge on your students." Cerium looked down at her stuff animal, a strand of hair falling over her face. "I kinda only took the job as gym teacher because Ni-kun had left the position for Chizu-chan. I needed work and I figured it was a good a spot as any to fill, seeing as I'm living rent free with Ni-kun." She hugged it a little bit closer to her before sitting up a bit more, her head higher than Seth's, and smiling at him with sincerity, "It's only recently that I've started to see what being a teacher is all about." |

...Na... that's not what he meant when he wondered whether or not he'd have the chance to be a teacher. Do I have to be blunt? He's wondering whether or not he'd be able to live long enough to even consider being... anything. But still. It actually feels nice to know that someone would put so much trust in him like this... Le sigh. "Man... now I would feel bad if I don't become a teacher," He said with an amused chuckle, leaning back on his seat and swinging his arms around, resting his hands behind his head. "Heh, just watch, I'll be an even better teacher than anyone," He said with a huff and a grin, turning his attention back to the window of the carriage. "Really, talking about the future on a date..." He shook his head. Apparently still wondering how things had turned out this way. "So now you're a teacher... what's next?" |

Cerium giggled as she listend to Seth, "You can be whatever you want to be, I'm just saying you would make a good teacher if you chose to become one." She smiled at Seth, giving him a reassuring thumbs up as well, which somehow seemed oddly out of place for Cerium and she actually blushed for a second after having done it. He then began to speak about the situation they were in now, how they were discussing the future and Cerium had a feeling the question would be coming that- Yep, there is was. What was she going to be doing with her life now? For some reason it felt odd for a student to be asking a teacher that, but for Cerium, it felt odd if anyone asked her that. She leaned back a little, putting her stuffed animal down on the floor of the carriage they were in. "Well, I know I'll be staying here for a while. Having been around strangers for a lot of my life, I never really knew my family, I barely knew my father. So for this moment in time, I guess I'm really liking the fact that I can spend time with Nickle. I've never had a relation my own age so, I like that I can have someone like that related to me." She smiled at Seth blushing a bit, "I'd also like to date a bit, but, I really have no taste in men..." she was silent for a moment, just long enough for Seth's mind to wander for a moment before she spoke again, "It's not that I don't like them, I just don't know what qualities to look for in a man. Saying to look for someone that makes you happy is harder than it sounds....." Edited by Nickle, Dec 1 2011, 01:50 PM.

"Mhmm... actually, you don't have to look for anything to find a men you like, you know," It wasn't a tone of vigor, yet at the same time it wasn't melancholic. Just... neutral. Like two people talking to each other about how much is the price of a green apple. "In fact, it's usually only at the very last moment do you realize that you actually love a certain man," Oh wow, Seth giving relationship advice? About love too, at that. Perhaps the world has ended, or maybe hell has frozen over. But whatever sort of calamity that was happening away from their prying eyes, he was definitely giving advice about something he himself wasn't very good at. Though you'll be surprised that you can indeed find people giving brilliant advice in something that's not within their field of expertise. Rare, but you can find them. "All I'm saying is... everyone has someone who's destined to be with them. Whether you go to look for him, or you stay and let him come to you... sometimes you wouldn't even realize that the special someone might be sitting right next to you," He said, resting his arm on the windowsill and giving her a smile. Not sure what he meant by that, but he really meant what he said. The carriage shuddered slightly and it took him by surprise. Well, that seemed like a very long trip despite it only lasting for about ten minutes or so. "Uwah... time is mysterious indeed..." He said with a somewhat serious expression as the door to the carriage opened for the two and a giant stuffed animal to exit it, allowing the others who were clamoring to get on the ride to enter instead. "Well...!" He gave a sigh as he approached the entrance/exit of the amusement park. "That wasn't a date, but it was fun enough that anyone would wish it was one," He turned around for a glance back at the amusement park. Sunset really is beautiful. "Guess we can call it a day," He gave a shrug before turning to Cerium. "I'll take you home. Unless of course, if you think you can take care of yourself," Not that he doubted her abilities as a teacher, but isn't that what the man is supposed to do? |

Seth had a point, if it was someone you liked and they liked you back, you didn't really need to search, you were just kinda drawn to one another. It was weired, how a boy only a few years younger than her could deduce that and she couldn't, it was kinda terrible in a way. She looked at Seth strangely for a moment, wondering about the words he said before smiling, "I guess you're right~ Although I don't think I should say I love you so easily, Nickle had only ever said to three women in his life and the first two times they vanished on him, so I guess I want to be sure." It was true really, first Cassandra and then Celestial, both of them had vanished into the night, well with Celestial it was more that she was stolen by the darkness. Now that Cerium thought of it, did Nickle had a thing for girls who's names started in C? "Eh?" said Cerium, suddenly realizing that the carriage was slowly coming to the end of its voyage and thusly the end of the ride for her and Seth. She took her stuffed animal and followed Seth out towards the exit, being somewhat silent on her part for most of the way. ----------------------------------------------------- "Mhmm! It was really fun! I had such a good time, thank you for showing me around today Seth-kun." Cerium truly was grateful, even if it was for a short time, she had spent time with someone new and it excited her in a way. Were her and Seth friends now? To her it seemed like the start of a friendship at any rate. He then offered to walk her home, which made Cerium blush a little bit, “I wouldn’t mind you walking me home, but I’m being picked up by my cousin, how about you walk me to the meeting spot? It’s about a block away from the amusement park. Ni-kun can’t get too close, because the amusement park technicians get kinda flustered.” The fact was because Nickle once had a bit of a mishap on the merry go round and as such, they’d been sceptical about letting him back in the park. The two of them walked the short distance from Doki Doki Land to where Cerium was to meet up with Nickle, seeing that he was already there, parked under a street lamp that had yet to go on as the sun was still setting and lighting the sky. Cerium suddenly began a slow run towards Nickle waving, "Ni-kun~! You're early~" Nickle was leaning on the seat of his motorbike, clad in a brown leather vest, black fingerless gloves and boots, with only his denim jeans and orange t-shirt breaking the dark colouration of his attire. He looked when he heard Cerium's voice, smiling and waving, "Oi! I thought you would have finished a bit earlier, but I can see you've been keeping yourself busy." He moved his head to the side slightly to look at Seth who was behind Cerium. He smiled at the boy, "So, can I assume that you've been with my cousin for some time if you're walking with her?" Apparantly teasing ran in the Ryuko family, although Nickle's teasing was much more easy to go along with than Cerium's. Edited by Nickle, Dec 3 2011, 02:22 PM.

"If you're talking about P.E. classes then yes, I've been with her for a while," Not sure whether that was a counter to the tease or a dead serious no nonsense answer of an innocent and naive (kinda) kid. Hrm. Come to think of it he haven't gotten the chance to meet Nickle properly now had he? They had a very very brief encounter back then at the beach house in summer, but even then they never talked. "I think we've seen each other before. My name's Seth, nice to meet you," He said, extending his hand for a handshake. "It's been fun, sensei," He said with a smile at Cerium. "We can do this again if you want... If I'm not held back after classes again..." There was a moment of depression as he turned his head away and a small gloom cloud hovered over his head. Yea, aside from P.E. he just sucked in everything else. But whatever. Shoving the thought out of his mind he turned around, giving her a small wave and a glance before he leaves, saying "Mkay, I'll see you tomorrow then at school," |

Nickle gently ribbed Cerium with his elbow, "That's quite the student you got there. Best keep an eye on the quick wit of his." said Nickle with a grin on his face, which seemed to convey that he was a tad bit impressed with Seth's comeback. Cerium was smiling and giggling happily, "Well Seth-kun is a good student, he's got potential." The two Ryuko's turned their attention back to the boy as he spoke again, introducing himself. Nickle apparantly didn't appear to recognise him from the beach trip however, seeing as the majority of that trip he spent with Chizu. "It's nice to meet you Seth-kun," replied the electromancer, giving Seth a firm handshake, "I'm Nickle. Although I take it Cerium's already mentioned my name to you on the way here." he said with a grin. After releasing his hand, Nickle watched as Seth gave his goodbyes to Cerium. He looked at her for a second, feeling as if perhaps things were a bit unfinished to which his cousin nodded in silent agreement. She ran after Seth, "Seth-kun hang on! There's still one thing we have to do before we part ways!" Cerium reached into Seth's trouser pocket, pulling out his cellphone and turning the camera function on. The poor kid wouldn't really have a say in the matter, before Cerium held the camera out in front of the two of them and said, "Big smile~" before snapping a photo of her with her arm around Seth and her face next to his. With that done, the photo now saved to Seth's phone, she handed it back to him and went back to Nickle who had gotten the bike started, "Have a good night Seth-kun~ And thanks for everything! You're a real sweetheart~" The ferromancer then placed a silver bike motorcycle helmet on her head seconds later and grabbed Nickle around the waist, waving goodbye as her cousin kicked the bike into gear and took off. |
