[Set outside of Intercom] End of August More exactly, the final weekend in August, when school is scheduled to start next week. Yuri lingers in front of the door of Altlene's room. Well, to be more exact, it's the maid's new residence, as the older residence, where her friend Aisia Asakura lived, was already jam packed, and somehow they managed to give Altlene a room to herself. While how that is achieved, Yuri doesn't know, she knows that this is actually more convenient, to the stand point of people in the world at least, for all of them. Regardless. Yuri is here for a reason. There has been so much going on recently, that she feels that there is an obligation for her to fill Altlene in. First off, the fact that she found some way to retain her memories. Of course, she's not going to be telling Altlene as to how, exactly, she gained the means to retain her memories, and what she actually had to sacrifice for that. After all, she wouldn't think Altlene would be pleased about this. Not like anyone, including herself, would ever be pleased about it. Though, she's a slight different- she's rather impartial to it. She can't feel sorry for herself, after all. She can't feel, period. But that's irrelevant. All she really wants to let Altlene know is, she did find a way to retain her memories. There is another thing that she would like to tell Altlene about. More like, to consult with her. As far as she remembers, someone in her household has been suspicious with Altlene. Her mother, to be specific. She has been questioning Yuri all about Altlene, about the big things, small things, how they met, where Altlene's from, and all that stuff that Yuri didn't think she has an answer to. Well, she does, but what'd you expect a person who doesn't know anything about the true face of Hyakuji, and thinks that this town is filled with normal people, to believe? That Altlene is actually a robot? That she actually didn't do anything to invite Altlene to clean her house? Nahhh, it's rather hard for anyone to believe in that. And thus, Yuri has been trying to find an alternative way to solve this whole... problem. Or, simply just to find an excuse to escape from the pretense that she has on at home for the entire time, that she was still the normal 'she' before she regained her memories and lost her feelings. Again, she'd not know what her mother would think. While she knows that she won't think anything of it, she could tell, even by logical deduction, that it would affect her mother's mental stability, and not in a good way, as well. And the solution to this problem? Altlene may be able to help. Now, the question is, how should she greet Altlene? Should she greet Altlene with a friendly smile? An authoritative way? Or ... To be honest, without the help of emotion to guide her rational judgment, these sort of decisions are harsh to make it. |

As for the robot herself...Altlene was worried she wasn't being of use at all. While she could store the memories Yuri had lost and relay them back, she had yet to actually think of anything to help her young partner (though Altlene was probably younger by a technicality). The fact that the days went by normally without a change in routine bolstered the insecurities she had, while there were no complaints it also meant there was no actual progress. And all she could do was curse her inefficiencies. To that end, today was a new day. She could continue to keep trying, though her faith in her abilities continued to waiver. She mind was clouded with a lot of things, and as such it began reflecting outwardly as well. When she opened the door for Yuri, she was not wearing her normal, if a little neutral, smile. "Greetings, Yuri-sama." She was just...serious, it was a little out of character for her. |

Yuri actually spent a little bit trying to see from the reflection of her own tiny mirror in the bag, to arrange for what she thinks to be the most perfect smile she could greet her companion with, before she actually rang the bell. The smile is still on, too, even after the door was opened. Although the young girl does not know quite well what a good, bright smile would do to people, or, more exactly, why such bright smile brings someone to feel some certain way, she still thought it would be more appealing for her to act a little more bright, cheerful and "normal" with her smile, and maybe it would be easier to start on any and everything. At least, that's what she thought, until she saw the maid behind the door. Then, the pretended smile quickly dissipates away. Altlene looks so serious, that Yuri almost immediately thought she somehow has found out something grave. Such as her own secret. After all, from past experience, when someone who was supposedly usually cheerful looks so serious out of nowhere, it only means that something has gone wrong. And, given that it is Altlene, it must be something about her that was wrong, for she couldn't think anyone else, currently, that Altlene would put up such a face for just yet. And, for some reason, she feels rather uncomfortable. It is as if there is something unsettling about Altlene's expression, that makes her sick in the stomach. Is there a reason for Altlene to have such an expression on? Is it because of her? Something she did? Did the maid already find out about her secret? Or is it something else? It is the first, even though it's faint, feeling that Yuri has experienced for a few days, and it is unsettling to say the least. In fact, it is such a strange feeling she is getting right now, that she cannot quite tell what is wrong with this. All she wants is to somehow get rid of that expression off Altlene's face, so to make herself feel better. It's quite torturing to see her like this. Maybe, especially since she has not felt anything for such a long time, that the faint feeling is hitting her harder than any time else. What should she do? Is there a rational, or logical solution to this? Or is she supposed to depend on the almost non-existent emotion she has right now? R-Right. Expressions. Yuri quickly put a corresponding expression onto her face- a pair of frowning brows. "Konnichiwa," She greets, her expression worried, and her voice slightly uncertain. "…. Altlene-san?" It is not the uncertainty of her identity that is getting to Yuri, but the fact that she doesn't know what to do with Altlene right now. Even still, Altlene probably does not even know that. Not yet, at least. |

A solemn nod from the artificial being. There wasn't much to be said right now and as such, all Altlene did was gesture for Yuri to come inside. She was someone meant to serve, so right now the things that were bothering her were put on hold, pushed back withing her mechanical mind as she attended to the person she referred to as Master. She could tell that she was worried about something, but without and idea of what she would not be able to attempt helping properly. So instead, she just continued on as she normally would. "Would you like a drink? Or a snack of some kind?" she asked politely. While she normally didn't eat or drink herself, Altlene still prepared the basics in her room for serving others...even if it was limited to tea and the accompanying treats due to her lack of sense of taste, therefore only consumables that required barely any prep time were all she had. |

"Ah, tea and some snack would be great, Altlene-san." The girl invited herself in with a low mutter of "sorry for intruding," and takes her shoes off at the corridor. She walks into the room, where nearly nothing beyond essentials exists within the four walls that makes up the room. Yuri once again admires the tidiness of the room. If there is anything that Altlene is splendid at- not that she is not good at almost everything else- is that she is great at keeping things neat, clean and tidy. And the mere thought of something that she would suggest later on almost gives her this feeling of warmth from the stomach, and she could feel her heart beat faster as she contemplated that idea. Of course, why she felt all those she felt, she knows not. She kneels down next to the futon, and looks around the room a little more, as if she has never been into this room before. She then rests her eyes at Altlene, who is now making the tea and bringing out the snacks. The upset feeling that she has from earlier on is still not going away. What is Altlene thinking about? It is not, as far as she could recall from her memories- little that she has of Altlene-, normal for the android to be so stern looking. As far as she should remember, she should be a little more.. happy, cheerful, and almost … lively. Seeing Altlene being this way is… disheartening to her to say the least. |

Indeed...what does a robot think about that distresses it to the point it cannot follow its normal personality routines? No matter the situation, no matter what damage she received, Altlene was somehow able to keep smile though it all. Something was different about her, that much was certain but for now, she just kept working as normal. It didn't take her long but she eventually returned to the central area, placing a cup before Yuri, and pouring some hot green tea within. That accomplished, a tray of rice crackers was placed on the table in front of her master as well. In the end, she didn't say what was bugging her...it just wasn't her place at the moment. For now, it was serve to the utmost of her ability, her needs were second to Yuri's right now. |

There is an utmost silence that suspenses in the air, during the whole time between Altlene preparing the tea, and her mistress picking up the tea in front of her and taking a sip from it. Normally, people will not be comfortable enough to sit as still as Yuri, and would probably have said something to try and break the awkward silence. However, Altlene will notice that despite the awkwardness, her mistress has not said a single word. Not even after she has taken a piece of rice cracker from the tray, and looked at it for a few moments. The mistress is awfully quiet today. Against all norms. The girl proceeds to crack the cracker into two halves, and contemplated to hand one half to Altlene. She paused a little thinking on her action, then retracted it. Right, Altlene do not eat. She almost forgot. Silently, the girl ate the crackers in her hand, and looks at Altlene again. She should be saying something, right? What should she say? Will what she say distress Altlene even more? Because it is quite obvious that Altlene is not behaving the way she usually does, and it is starting to bug her, quite a bit. In fact, it should be bugging, despite the girl not being able to sense how much of a problem this silence awkwardness is. "Y'know, y'should have a more cheerful face on. She'd get worried." After the cracker has been completely dissolved, the mistress has spoken up. Only, this time, the tone is completely different. The way that the girl sits has also slightly shifted, into a more casual, masculine way of sitting. The girl takes another cracker, and simply bites it off in a more casual, almost-rude way. "Heck, she's already worried about ya." There is a strange aura around Yuri right now- a strange way that she carries herself. It is as if she is now taking a completely different personality, and is almost talking as if there is another person inhabiting her body. "I'd be sad to see a cute shimobe* like you to have such a straight face on, too." Finishing the cracker in her hand and licking her thumb a little, the girl adds. One thing strange, however, is that- Yuri has never addressed Altlene as a maid of hers, let alone a servant. |

It didn't take long for Altlene to notice something was up, even taking in Yuri's deteriorating memories, there was a low chance of a personality to be completely swapped like this. Minor differences made sense but...this was a completely different person, there was no doubt about that. As such, the serious expression on Altlene's face seemingly hardened, glaring at the person speaking so...rudely. "...Who are you? What happened to Yuri-sama?" Things were getting suspicious. Her initial instinct was that this was someone taking on her appearance but Altlene needed more information to confirm such...though she was very close to calling forth one of her weapons in order to actually interrogate this person. ...when her master was in danger, it seemed Altlene showed a lot more competence than usual. |

The girl in front of Altlene has now completely shifted in her way of sitting, and has changed into a more rude way of sitting- one that you'd usually expect from, say, a medieval lord of sort. Of course, Yuri's skirt is not… long enough to really cover up for the rude posture- well, rude posture for a japanese girl, anyway. With her body turns, her left foot extended and her right foot upright, and her hands crossing each other on her right knee, and her chin on the back of the palm, Yuri looks at Altlene in a rather … interesting way. "Protective, aren't you?" The girl muses, finding this person to be rather… interesting. "I* am an oni of the past, specifically from the Muromachi era, if you may call. I am in search of a container, and encountered your mistress," She proceeds to point towards her own chest, "This girl, who is in search of a volume. And, for now, I borrow her body to resides in, so that I don't die from not having a container." Realizing that whatever she said would probably have raised an alarm from the robot maid, the girl raises her hands in front of her to show that she has no defense. "Oto, I don't mean to do no harm to the child, and I don't have the means to as well, since i lost all of my power. I do mean to leave, too, but I am in a hiding right now, sort of, and if I leave her right now, I may cease in existence. You haven't seen me doing anything ill to your mistress yet, right?" Well, let's hope that this will be a conversation that would end just slightly more pretty than that of that one elven guy. After all, this will be the… third time that she has talked to anyone after she has acquired this new body. "But yeah, for now, I put her to sleep. I have something to talk to you about, myself." The girl puts her hands down, and resumes her original position, and lays her cheek against the back of her palms, looking at Altlene in a rather… mused away. * The way that Yuri refers to herself is "Ore", which is a rather arrogant way of referring to oneself. "...I'm listening." Altlene didn't like this, and when it came to the realm of the supernatural she had no knowledge outside of random facts. In short, she was ill equipped to actually deal with this kind of "threat". It was unfortunate, but all Altlene could do was entertain this "oni" for now, though she kept her guard up it seemed. She wouldn't trust anyone with this kind of power so easily...so she had to just see how this unfolded. Altlene didn't even bother sitting down...she just stood there, keeping her eyes focused on the person in control of her master. |

Hm, it doesn't seem like this Altlene likes her at all, even though she actually likes the girl enough to come out and talk to her. Oh well. Guess even at this day and age, people still dislike people or things that they are not familiar with. Is this human nature, too? "Well, first thing first. This is some personal matter of mine." The girl takes another cracker, and cracks it into two halves between her lips and her left hand. "It seems that someone is out to find me. I am not sure who, or why would they try to find me, but they may have something that either they are interested in me for, or I may be interested in them for. Either way, this may be dangerous for her and myself alike, so I ask of you to take good care of my vessel, your mistress." For some reason, the tone of the girl suddenly grow more serious, even though she looks rather laid back and relaxed. The girl puts half of a cracker down onto the plate, and cracks the other half into another half in the same fashion that she did earlier on, making the biscuit turning into one-fourth of a biscuit. "Second. You may want to watch out for where your mistress may go during the night. As she is right now, she may end up doing something self-destructive. She may not know it, or she may already know it but still does it anyway. Just… watch out." As she speaks, she puts down the 1/4 of a cracker among her fingers down onto her plate, and takes the other 1/4 cracker into her hand. "And, finally," The girl becomes much less tensed at this point, and a much brighter and mischievous grin appears on her face, "Y'should really cheer up. Yr'mistress had something rather amusing to tell you." "Yuri" then proceeds to eat the 1/4 cracker off her fingers, and smirks. "Can you promise me to do these 3 things? If you can, I'll answer any sort of questions you have for me. To the best of my abilities, of course." |

The first thing was something that Altlene would do without question, as it was in her basic programming once she actually identified someone as her master...though Altlene did seem to show some concern for the next agenda. It was troublesome when they lived separately, so it was hard to tell what the other did once the designated time for things ended. An unfortunate truth that while one worked for the other, they did not fully share their lives just yet. The last bit did cause the robot to actually look surprised. Had her appearance as of late caused that much stress for Yuri? After all, Altlene just worked as normal, and never really noticed the type of expression she made. To that end, Altlene merely nodded however. If that is what it took...she'd abide by that which had been laid out. "I promise." she was the type to never go back on her word, after all. Following that, the first question she'd ask was the obvious one. "How long have you been in Yuri?" |

Huh, this girl… She seems to be much more concerned about Yuri than she appears to be. Or is this also out of her laid-out personality? "She" doesn't understand too much about all the new terms, like robot, technology, or anything of that sort. All the information that "she" has obtained, is merely but something that Yuri has written in her diary. Oh, and that giant-ass manual about Altlene that was delivered a few days after Yuri has made her initial contact with the maid. "Hmm, maybe a week before she met you?" The girl eats another quarter piece of the cracker, and takes the cup into her hand. "I saw you choosing a phone for her, basically. I just didn't make an appearance~" To be honest, even "she" isn't sure how long "she" has spent time in this person's body. As far as "she" can remember, when "she" came into consciousness, she wished to be able to move, and all that "she" remembered afterwards, the next time "she" opened her eyes, "she" was already in the body of the poor girl. But then again, at least, "she" could remember, vaguely, when Yuri has first met Altlene. At least "she" didn't go out of her way to stop or intervene the establishment of connection between Yuri and Altlene. But, how'd Altlene react when she learns this? A little smile appears at the lips of the girl, as "she" hides the light smile with a sip of the tea. "I can tell you mean a lot to her, even though she may not notice it." |

"I see..." Altlene really did not have a proper understand of how these matters worked, and since she couldn't even sense the presence to begin with, she didn't bother asking anymore questions about the 'Oni', even if she did, she probably wouldn't even be able to understand most of them anyway. For now, she just took it as a point of reference. It really was a question whether or not Altlene's feelings for Yuri or programmed or not...the robot girl didn't even know herself to be entirely honest. Though, at the same time, she wasn't expecting that level of attachment in return. Altlene had a very low self-worth, so even if people acted nice to her, she still considered herself a tool first and foremost. So she fell silent, a look of her surprise on her face as this was revealed to her. What was this odd feeling in her chest? There was someone who actually cared for someone as troublesome as she was? It was a matter of serious thought for her... |

… Well, well, well. So it seems that the oblivious ones do not only exists in the old history, but also in the current time. And, instead of only existing in human, it somehow also exists in what they call robots. Or Karakuris, as they used to call these things. A sigh escapes from the lips of the girl, as she reverts her position to be more modest, more reserved and more like Yuri, and puts down the cracker from her hand down onto the bowl. "Well, just care for her as you always do. I am sure she'd be happy even just by you staying besides her, though." She comments, and looks at Altlene with a strange, mischievous, yet caring sort of glance. "I'm content with having such a pretty servant around me, too" She adds, more as a whisper to herself. However, whether or not Altlene hears it, that's another matter. "With that said, I should return you your dear mistress, as I am sure there is a lot of things she wanna tell you, too," She picks up her audio again, now completely reverting to how Yuri was sitting earlier on. "Call for me if you ever need me. I can hear you as long as your master can hear." With that, the girl closes her eyes, as if she is going into a meditation. Then opens her eyes again. This time, her eyes looks a little dazed, confused, and almost daydream like. She looks at the cracker bowl in front of her, then at Altlene again. "… Altlene-san?" The girl asks. There is a rather surprised look on Altlene's face that she didn't remember the maid wearing earlier on when she decided to blink her eyes. Did she went on a daze again? She frowns a little. Judging by the half piece of cracker on the bowl, there is a high possibility. But why? With the help of the Zodiac, she should be able to control her memories already. Why would she still daze out like this? Maybe this is some side-effect that the Muses have on their user? This is something that warrants an inquiry later on. But for now. "… I-is there something on my face?" Now remembering that she actually has to act out her personality a little more, she recalls a little of what she would do when she was stared at by her friends- before the accident, of course. She is wishing, really, that this is going to be fine, and Altlene will be able to be convinced by this. … Or should she even be trying to hide this fact from her? That she can't feel as properly as she could anymore? |
