Kyousogiga sounds pretty good, but I'm not sure if such a thing like in the Recorder anime is true considering body structures and the like. On board for High School DXD, Mourestsu Pirates, Baby, Please Kill Me (a good manga, I must admit), Scyred (which I hope adds more depth considering how different it was from the manga), the Kenshin movie, .hack movie, and Infinite Stratos. I'm not sure, but why is Louise in Index's outfit? |

There's also a new movie coming out next year. No subtitles though, but it looks pretty well made, considering Warner Bros is footing the bill. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gd3iyNHCYbQ&list=FLomA_pncQhnkiigZ7Ef15cg&feature=mh_lolz |

So now that this season has come to a close and several finales have aired. I figured it would be time to shed some light on shows I watched rather than list what I saw and move onto the next chart. Gundam SEED Remaster: Complete and utter waste of time for what it is. An overblown upscale project that largely wasn't needed since the series was drawn digitally anyway. The upscale also serves to make animation errors a lot more obvious. Recorder to Randoseru: Each episode is only 3 minutes long. It's hard to hate it since its literally a 4koma manga with moving pictures. You laugh or you don't. Kill Me Baby: Beyond the awful awful OP, good for a laugh though probably a show best enjoyed watching with friends. A good way to kill your brain for a good few minutes, though I mainly watched it for the sales ninja. Amagami SS+: Uses more things from the game with some original content here and there. Since this season is mostly giving epilogues to the relationships resolved in the first, there isn't much to say, though I did like Rihoko actually getting out of the friend zone and the bits of drama here and there regarding Junichi and the heroine's problems as an actual couple. I still say giving an arc to each girl is the better way of handling sims -> anime formats though. Highschool DxD: Initially something I picked up on a whim, ended up getting interested once the actual demon stuff kicked in. Definitely a late night anime as far as service goes, it's balanced out by both the fights being decently interesting and Issei not being entirely useless as a protagonist. While he doesn't drop his perverted tendencies, when he gets his spine he keeps it throughout and constantly gets better at being a demon as the show goes on. Sure its generic mcguffin power but it is at least interesting in the world's contest. Anime could use another season though, as it's barely a fifth of the novels covered. Symphogear: Still waiting on the last episode to be subbed but I loved the concept of how everything worked in series. The music is also fairly awesome, though given the cast and the name of the series it had to be. Its ridiculous and basically made me think back to preStrikerS Nanoha magical girl stuff, where its not about solving everyones problems through love and friendship but blasting everything away with guts and lesbian powered laser beams (missiles and swords are fine too) ZnTF: the anime adaption had deterred alot from the books, so all thats really left to say is damage control from the animation studio's position and trying to get a decent ending out of it. It could have been better but at least it wasn't rage inducing. Mouretsu Pirates: expected fanservice, walked out pleasantly surprised. Decent as a scifi show and the characters are competent yet quirky. Suffers from pacing issues though due to actual plot not happening for a good while. Rinne no Lagrange: a mecha show that while interesting, suffers from pacing issues and taking a little too much time out of the mecha. Characters are okay, but flat due to the fact nothing really happens. Hoping the second season fixes that as the mecha do look neat. Aquarion Evol: The original sucked but the sequel is so much better. The characters are all likable and unlike the original cast, they do not make me want to throttle them in the face. OSORE! Daily lives of Highschool Boys: Another brainkilling show. Milage may very, though at least its a different take on the 4koma adaptations that pop up. You can also tell the VAs are having a blast adlibbing most of the show. Papakiki: A pleasant surprise despite its fanservice-y nature. A decent drama with the right balance of comedy and seriousness. Actually touches on a number of issues you'd expect from the setup such as the kids having trouble with school due to long commutes and such. Mood whiplash hurts like a bitch though. Inu x Boku SS: I loved the characters and it proceeds normally with laughs and derpiness, though the development for the end is wonderfully handled. Another good mix of comedy and drama and got really into it when they felt like putting some plot in it. BRS: Takes the OVA and expounds on it. People complain about not enough action but I say fuck those guys. A twisted mindfuck with some terrifying moments here and there. Short but good enough. Smile Precure: so so so much more enjoyable than Suite. All I can say right now. Edited by Yosuke, Mar 31 2012, 06:58 AM.
