The sun that once never set on the British Empire began to rise in the sky over the band of islands that had started it all, and somewhere across its landscape, a cockerel yelled out.
The sensation of waking after a night's sleep in one's own bed was one that Jonny had not enjoyed for several months. The last time he had been home - that is to say, the family home - was back during the winter. And whilst he would have preferred it - and greatly so - to be under different circumstances, he would be lying if he said he didn't enjoy being back.
"Good morning..." He muttered to noone in particular, rubbing heavy eyes as he began to wake.

The boy's body went from its horizontal position to sitting upright in the passing seconds, the soft quilt falling down his body as it was pushed by his movement. The double sized bed gave him much room to sleep in, and the quality of mattress, along with the pillows, had done well to give him a comfortable rest. However, he managed to overcome the urge to continue sleeping, knowing just what, and more important, who was waiting for him today.
He slid off the bed, his feet slipping into two brown slippers that waited at the bedside. Toes rose and fell lightly as they reintroduced themselves to the footware, before Jonny stepped towards the door.

He pulled off a dressing gown that hung off one of the hooks, throwing it over himself and tying a knot around his waist to keep it there. Unlike much of the rest of his wardrobe, the fabric was coloured a dark blue, with the shade lightening ever so slightly in places to create a striped effect.
Turning the handle, the door clicked open, and Jonny walked out into the second level of the main hall. Desmond Court was the family home for several generations now, and was centuries old. Its value was uncalculated, but it was unlikely that the entirety of the property, and the various artifacts, books, and other trinkets within it could be reclaimed by his parents through monetary means. A fortune that measured in the tens of millions was quite handy, but from the relative perspective of the modern era, it wasn't that much.

Indeed, if it hadn't for the surprise decision in his grandfather's will, it was more likely the entire property, all 6000 acres of it, would have been claimed by the National Trust, or a similar group. His father had been disowned by his old man, hence the need to live in an apartment they could barely afford. But because of a change in heart, and the chance granted by the inheritance in its entirety, his family now led an extremely good life.
"Awake already son? Boy, you must be eager."

Harold Desmond

Jonny looked down over the railing as his father spoke, beaming with a smile on his face.
"I made a promise I'd be there on time. What's for breakfast by the way?" The boy speedster asked, and his father paused a moment to think on it.
"That is a good question. I tried asking your mother about it earlier, but she got Bolt to chase me out before I got a good look." Harold explained, as a bark came from the general direction of the kitchen. "Yes I know you're a good dog. Doesn't mean you have to scare me like that!"

"Sounds like one of her surprises for her little boy though. Get dressed, get down here, and then get some food in your stomach." Harold said to his son, before walking on into his private study.
Jonny nodded at his father's command, ducking back into his room. The dressing gown was off as fast as it had come on, and Jonny went to the large wardrobe across from the bed. He worked through a variety of outfits, trying to decide. He'd forgotten just how many choices there were, and realised that he'd left himself with a noticeable lack in red at home.

Maybe there'd be that uniform he'd have to wear, but until then, he wanted to go casual.

Finally figuring out what to wear, Jonny pull his arms through the sleeves of his outfit as he leapt over the railing, landing on the first floor with little to no problem.
"Watch the carpet." A voice chimed from the kitchen, and Jonny smiled as he stepped up and opened the door. Black fur sprung up towards him as he did so, and Jonny stroked Bolt's head with great affection.
"Good to see you too boy." He smiled, thinking of Seki back in Japan. Thank goodness Yuki was still there.

"How's my little superhero?"

Mary Desmond

"Hungry, though I wouldn't really call myself a superhero." Jonny chuckled as his mother flipped over the bacon sizzling in the pan before her, and Jonny reached for a plate from a nearby cupboard.
"Oh? And here I thought you'd be something after you fight off a giant robot - two even - save hundreds if not more from an earthquake, and help save your friend who happens to be one of the single richest girls on the planet." Mary commented as Jonny held the plate before her, and she placed two streaks of bacon onto it.

"Oh c'mon Mum, you know I don't base our friendship on that sort of thing." Jonny shook his head as his mother drew two slices of toast that popped up with a ding, and placed them onto the plate as well.
"Well obviously, and its why she's lucky to know you. Could you open the oven?" She asked him as the kettle to a boil, and she took a moment to pour the water.
"Uh... sure." He responded with a few surprised blinks, placing the plate down as he went over to the oven. An orange glow came through the clear plastic on its front as Jonny slipped on some oven mitts, opening it up to a burst of hot air, before extracting the food within.

"Hey, this doesn't look like breakfast material." He commented as he dropped the tray of roast potatoes down onto an insulated mat above the oven.
"Maybe not, but they're your favourite. And I figured you might want a little more than bacon and toast for today." Mary said as she finished stirring the tea, using a free hand to hand across Jonny's plate. The boy poured out the golden coated roast potatoes onto it, taking in the delightful smell.
"Suppose I can't argue with that. Thanks." He took the moment to deliver a light kiss on his mother's cheek in gratitude, before taking his cup of tea and the plate to the dinner table in the next room over.

The 'next room over' being a full hall that could easily sit dozens of people, but it was only the three of them who ever ate around, with maybe a very rare exception he hadn't seen in a long time.
He worked through the meal quickly, but with some restraint on his pace, not wanting to choke himself given the importance of today. He was finished soon enough, and was quick to wash the dish, and any others that had built up. Might as well do his parents a favour whilst he was here.
"Okay, I'm going now." He said as he approached the large wooden doors of the entrance, swinging them open.

"Be safe dear. Be nice to the young lady." His mother waved him farewell, and Jonny nodded back to her before he closed the door behind him. Well, what she said was the general idea.

He stepped across the stone path, making his way down it until he reached the large cast iron gates. Stepping through the small side door in the stone walls that separated his family's property from the rest of the world, he locked it behind him with his key, taking in one last breath of the air before setting off.
And set off he did, a red blur across the British landscape as he headed for the address Selene had given him. As traffic queued up on the motorway, he passed them all by, catching sight of a few hands waving at him. Clearly, his return was welcomed by those who knew him.

After several moments of running, and the realisation he didn't have a watch on, he arrived at the designated location, coming to a halt in front of a familiar black limosine.

Jonny, Minus the Red

"H-hey." He stuttered slightly, having not been as mentally prepared as he initially thought. "Sorry if I'm a little late."

Earlier, at the Frostfire Estate...

Selene Frostfire was determined to make the best of her time in Britain; sure, it was supposed to be a trip back home where she would spend a few days of quality time with her friends and family. The only thing she wasn't expecting was to get kidnapped along the way. But still, she wasn't about to let something as simple as a kidnapping spoil her family reunion. Once the drama at the Frostfire Industries HQ was resolved, the corporate heiress could only trust that the aftermath of the whole incident would be cleaned up by her father and brothers as the corporate heiress took a ride home, back to the Frostfire Estate, where she could just get a good night's sleep after a long and crazy day...

The chirping of birds. A gentle breeze. As Selene turned over in bed, she could feel the light of day shining upon her eyelids...

The corporate heiress' eyelids fluttered open at the sight of sunlight streaming in through the windows, while a maid worked nearby on tidying up Selene's bedroom, sorting out the corporate heiress' personal effects. The maid. That explained why the windows, which have been closed during the night, were now open. "Good morning, Miss Frostfire," the maid greeted as Selene sat up in her bed, dressed in her nightgown. The corporate heiress stifled a yawn as she rubbed the sleep from her eyes. How long has it been since she last slept in a bed at the Frostfire Estate? While the penthouse suite at the Frostfire Building in Hyakuji more or less recreated the experience of being at home, the corporate heiress had to admit that it still couldn't hold a candle to being at home. Somehow, despite the entire kidnapping episode happening merely hours ago, the whole thing now felt like little more than a bad dream.

"Miss Frostfire, do you wish for your breakfast be brought to the room?" the maid asked the corporate heiress, bowing gently as she stood next to the bed.

"Ah, nevermind," Selene replied as she pulled her blanket aside and got out from her bed. "I'll be joining the rest of the family," the corporate heiress continued as she stretched her limbs some more, retrieving her phone from her dressing table, searching through her list of contacts for Jonny Desmond, before sending the young Briton a message.

From Selene, To Jonny

"Very well, Miss Frostfire," the maid replied with a curtsy as the corporate heiress headed into the bathroom to catch a shower. "Mrs. Frostfire and your brothers are at the veranda," she continued before proceeding to tidy up the corporate heiress' bed.

"Ah, our little princess is awake!" Johann Frostfire, second of the Frostfire siblings smiled broadly as Selene stepped out onto the veranda of the Frostfire mansion, overlooking the sprawling front yard and landscaped gardens of the Frostfire Estate. Seated with Johann at a round table covered with a red and white checkered table cloth were his two brothers, Thomas and Arthur, as well as their mother Tamika. The Frostfire brothers were all already dressed for the upcoming activity, sporting a riding jackets of varying styles and colors, breeches and riding boots. Selene herself was garbed in a tan-colored jacket with rustic accents, worn over a white dress shirt and red neck ribbon with brown breeches and black leather riding boots.

"And I was wondering if Selene's plans for spending "quality time" with her friends and family involved sleeping off the better part of the day," Arthur added, flashing Selene a grin. The fact that everyone made a few lighthearted jabs out of the whole episode goes to show that as far as the Frostfires were concerned, life went on as normal.

"Good morning Mother, good morning brothers," Selene smiled as she greeted her mother and brothers, with eldest brother gesturing towards an empty chair that was waiting for her. As soon as the corporate heiress sat down, one of the estate butlers approached the table, laying down a plate, cutlery and napkin, before pouring a steaming cup of tea, serving it to the corporate heiress. With a gentle puff Selene blew off the wisps of steam, picking up the saucer before lifting the cup to her lips, sniffing gently before taking a small sip. "English Breakfast Tea," the corporate heiress remarked, savoring the rich, full-bodied taste of blended black teas. As the butler proceeded to serve up portions for a hearty English breakfast - a sausage, grilled tomatoes, home fries and mushrooms.

"So how's things so far, dear?" Tamika asked, adding milk and sugar to a second cup of English Breakfast tea before stirring the contents together with a practiced grace.

"Aye, it's been months already! Just look at how time flies," Thomas added, cutting a bite-sized piece off a grilled sausage on his plate. The last time Selene met her family in person, it was during a gala event held at the Imperial Hotel in Hyakuji. Chewing his food carefully before swallowing, the eldest son of the Frostfires continued, "So, how are things like over at Hyakuji?" he asked, before taking a chunk of sauteed potato.

"Well, aside from an "unforgettable" welcome, it's all dandy - made new friends along the way, the school was saved from its financial troubles and the new semester is rolling smoothly along now that we're out of danger from being shut down," Selene replied as she stirred sugar and milk into her tea, pausing to take another sip of tea, a smile and slight nod indicating that she'd gotten the quantity to her liking. "And as for how the Japanese branch of the company is doing... there's always the reports sent in by the board of directors from over there." Thomas smiled and nodded at Selene's reply.

"Never mind the company reports... for now," Johann chimed in. "What matters most is that our little princess is back safe and sound!" the second of the Frostfire children commented with a smile. No sooner had Johann finished speaking however, the sound of the front doors of the mansion being opened would be heard as Stravas Frostfire stepped out onto the veranda, similarly garbed in traditional riding gear consisting of a maroon-colored jacket, black tie and brown breeches and dark tan boots.

"So, is everyone ready yet?" the Frostfire patriarch asked, flashing one of his rarely-seen smiles as he fished out a gold pocket watch from the breast pocket of his jacket, flipping open the cover to check the time. Any time now, and the drivers should be arriving with their transports.

"Cor blimey! You mean it's almost time?" Selene gasped, wide-eyed with shock before attempting to empty her tea in one gulp, although the corporate heiress was swiftly dissuaded from her un-ladylike action by a stern gaze from her mother who had her arms folded over her chest and shaking her head gently, who deliberately cleared her throat with an "ahem" to add emphasis; although she said nothing, knowing that Selene already knew full well her table manners by now. Being in a hurry was no excuse for lacking in manners and graciousness! "Yes mother," Selene replied sheepishly, drawing a burst of laughter from her brothers.

"H-hey." Jonny stuttered slightly, as he came to a stop in front of a black limousine, a Mercedes S-Class that was recognizable by the Frostfire crest resting above the license plate. "Sorry if I'm a little late." The custom-designed darkened glass window on the rear passenger seat would slide down, revealing a familiar face with long pumpkin-hued hair and green eyes. Except that "Selene" spoke in a tenor voice, which although high-pitched for a masculine voice, was still recognizably masculine, whereas Selene possesses a mezzo-soprano voice that was just a couple octaves shy of soprano.

"I'm afraid that I'm not the one you think I am," Arthur Frostfire replied with a good-natured chuckle. "Although there are some who often confuse me with someone else especially when viewed from the back," he continued, pausing as a silver-gray Aston Martin Virage Volante pulled up next to the Mercedes S-Class, revealing Selene in the passenger's seat next to eldest brother Thomas Frostfire at the wheel.

"Jonny!" Selene exclaimed happily as she got off from Thomas' beautiful sports car and approached him, smiling broadly. "I'm so glad you can make it!"

"So... that's the friend you said earlier that you're inviting over?" Johann asked, as Selene replied with a cheerful nod of her head. "Well met, Jonny. Name's Frostfire. Johann Frostfire, brother to Selene Frostfire and second of the Frostfire siblings," Johann said as he got out from the Mercedes, stepping up to Jonny before bowing smartly.

As the window of the limousine rolled down, something felt particularly strange to Jonny. The face was the same, right down to the hair and the eyes, but everything beyond that - and almost certainly the voice - was not what he recognised as Selene's. Whilst he had never met anyone else in the Frostfire family in person... could it be?
His suspicions were confirmed as another car drove up, and he spotted another Selene in the car. Once she spoke however, he knew her to be the real deal.

"Jonny!" The corporate heiress yelled as she saw him, and Jonny broke into a beaming smiling as he returned the gesture.
"Selene!" He turned to greet her, stopping with a look of surprise on his face as he realised what Selene was wearing.
"I'm so glad you can make it!" She said to him, and he nodded after he managed to look her straight in the face.

"Wouldn't have missed it for the world. Though I suppose I'm a little improperly dressed..." He mentioned, looking down at his long blue jacket, yellow shirt, and grey trousers, contrasted against Selene's riding outfit. Which he had to say, whilst... different, wasn't actually that bad on her.
"So... that's the friend you said earlier that you're inviting over?" Jonny looked up and over Selene as another voice spoke, and Jonny nodded as he quickly realised that this had to be another of the Frostfire siblings.

"Jonny Desmond's my name." He responded as Selene confirmed his identity, and the other male took the chance to introduce themselves as they approached.
"Well met, Jonny. Name's Frostfire. Johann Frostfire, brother to Selene Frostfire and second of the Frostfire siblings." Jonny bowed a little after Johann, having taken a bit to realise he should probably do the same.
"I think I realised that you were her sibling from the fact that, with the exception of myself, this is meant to be a family outing. And your father is bit more aged, in all honesty." He chuckled slightly, before briefly raising his hands in apprehension.

"N-not to say he hasn't aged well or anything, its just there'd be a rather noticeable difference and all." Offending one of the most powerful families in the country - if not the world - was not on the top of Jonny's to-do list.
Sighing briefly though, he looked back at his attire, pulling slightly on the rims of his jacket.
"Though I suppose I'll have to rush back home to see if I can find anything more appropriate... unless you've got spares lying around." It wasn't much of a suggestion, but who knew - maybe they did have spares.

"Selene!" Jonny called out to Selene as the real deal showed up in Thomas' Aston Martin, arriving mere moments after her brothers did. "Wouldn't have missed it for the world. Though I suppose I'm a little improperly dressed..." the super-speedster commented on his own outfit, which although was a casual dress for a casual occasion, it was inappropriate for the activity which they would be attending.

"The one and only!" the corporate heiress replied cheerfully with her hands on her hips as the Frostfire siblings introduced themselves, with Johann being the first to get the ball rolling. "Johann's the second of the Frostfire siblings, and Jonny is the guy I mentioned whom I had befriended back in Hyakuji," the corporate heiress nodded as Jonny introduced himself to confirm his identity. The second of the Frostfire siblings smiled as he stepped up next to Selene. A young man in his early twenties, Johann stood nearly a head over his sister, and the family resemblance was evident in his head of pumpkin-colored hair, with a slight wavy touch to it and reaching down to his neck, along with a pair of deep blue eyes - which were clearly inherited from his father.

"Arthur Frostfire here, it's an honour making your acquaintance, and doubly so to know that a fellow countryman has been looking after our dear sister during her time in a foreign land," the third of the sons of Stravas added as he stepped forth with a smile and a bow - having inherited his mother's looks, the youngest of the Frostfire sons bore the closest resemblance to Selene herself, right down to his long (only slightly shorter than Selene's own) strawberry-blond hair and vibrant green eyes.

"And this is Arthur, the third in the line and youngest of the sons," Selene commented. "As you can clearly see as far as looks are concerned he's also inherited most of mother's traits," the corporate heiress chuckled as she stood next to Arthur - it was clear the youngest son of Stravas was around Selene's age - maybe a year or two older at most, and by far the least impressively-built of the three brothers, standing only slightly taller than his sister. It was no wonder, as Arthur himself had said, there were some who'd mistaken him for Selene when approaching him from behind.

"I've heard quite a lot about you from my sister," Thomas Frostfire commented as he stepped out of his Aston Martin, standing up to his full height. The eldest of the Frostfire siblings, Thomas was also by far the most physically-imposing, being as tall as the Frostfire patriarch himself, at slightly over 1.9 meters and in many ways resembled a carbon copy of Stravas himself in the prime of youth - albeit cleanly-shaven and with a short pumpkin-colored hair which could best be described as "professionally unkempt". "Thomas Frostfire, at your service. And also a pleasure making your acquaintance, Mr. Desmond," the eldest of the Frostfire siblings smiled as he bowed towards Jonny before straightening himself.

"And that's my eldest brother all right," Selene commented, beaming at Jonny and then at Thomas. "Big guy, isn't he? And also one of the most big-hearted individuals around," the corporate heiress couldn't resist making a pun. "Nowadays he's actually the front-liner as far as day to day running of Frostfire Industries go over at our British headquarters; father only occasionally steps in to ensure everything continues to run smoothly - but otherwise he's effectively passed the torch to Thomas here," Selene mused as Thomas passed the keys to his Aston Martin to a waiting Frostfire Industries executive, along with instructions on where to park his sports car.

"I think I realised that you were her sibling from the fact that, with the exception of myself, this is meant to be a family outing. And your father is bit more aged, in all honesty. N-not to say he hasn't aged well or anything, its just there'd be a rather noticeable difference and all. Though I suppose I'll have to rush back home to see if I can find anything more appropriate... unless you've got spares lying around."

"Well, there's also a significant age difference between the four of us less Selene and myself," Arthur commented with a knowing smile as Stravas exited from another Mercedes S-Class with his wife Tamika. "Take for example big brother here - both he and Johann were born in the 80's - while Selene and myself are children of the 90's."

"So... now that we've gotten the introductions through, shall we proceed?" Selene asked as she stood right beside Jonny.

"Oh you needn't worry about that," Johann chuckled as he began to head towards a nearby building. "With all the aristocrats that stop by for riding sessions, there's bound to be a spare suit or two lying around that one of them wouldn't mind lending; I mean, I do believe Arthur has a set lying in a locker somewhere in there," the second son of Frostfire continued. "Not that I won't lend you one of mine, but... I think the boots would be a little too loose for you," Johann continued as he sized up Jonny with his gaze. Give or take an inch or two, Arthur's clothes would fit the super speedster perfectly.

Jonny received a fairly full introduction to the members of the Frostfire family, with the only ones not taking the time to exchange greetings being the Patriarch himself, and his wife. Indeed, seeing many of these figures in any shape or form, whether it be real life or otherwise, was a rare opportunity that many did not experience. Even amongst business alumni, the Frostfire family was elite, and didn't make too many public appearances. The faces they were known most by were, of course, Thomas and Selene's. As Selene had noted, Thomas all but ran the British headquarters, which was the centre of the entire operation. Similarly, Selene was doing much of the work at the Hyakuji branch, and was far more publically prominent due to both her status as a student, and her usual excursions into town.

Given what had happened, she'd probably be even more well known, even if not a reason anyone would truly want.

Jonny nodded to the thought of proceeding on with the series of events that were intended to unfold for the day, as Johann detailed that Jonny might not need to worry so much about obtaining a riding suit.
"With all the aristocrats that stop by for riding sessions, there's bound to be a spare suit or two lying around that one of them wouldn't mind lending; I mean, I do believe Arthur has a set lying in a locker somewhere in there," The second in line to the corporate empire explained, and Jonny took in the information. As rich as his family was, they had never done these kinds of excursions as a regular thing, so he was unfamiliar with how many people - and just who - used these places.

"Not that I won't lend you one of mine, but... I think the boots would be a little too loose for you," Jonny laughed at the comment, given that the size difference was a bit on the obvious side of things.
"Its fine, its fine. So long as Arthur doesn't mind." Failing that, as Johann mentioned, there had to be spares somewhere about the place. Not like they could just have tailor suits made ahead of time for every single occasion or person that might arrive. He'd follow after Johann, since he seemed to know where he was going, though keeping himself at a pace that Selene could easily follow. They had some catching up to do, even though it had been not too long ago that they'd last seen each other.

"Hey... are you okay?" He asked her, his voice raised enough to hear, but not so much that the discussion would move beyond the two of them in terms of reach.
"I mean... you had a rough time to say the least. B-but if you don't wanna talk about it... thats okay too. Better we enjoy today, instead of worrying about the past, right?" He couldn't - and hoped never to be able to - truly speak from experience on the matter. Maybe it was something Selene could deal with getting off her chest... or maybe it was something best not remembered. It was her choice whether or not she spoke on it, and if she changed the subject, unless it became an issue, he wouldn't try to go back to it.

"Its fine, its fine. So long as Arthur doesn't mind." Jonny's comment elicited a hearty laugh from the youngest son of Frostfire as he beamed at his fellow Briton.

"That is what friends are for, Jonny," Arthur replied, patting Jonny on the shoulder. "Any friend of Selene is a friend of mine," the youngest son of Frostfire nodded as their destination came closer into view, it appeared to be an old but well-kept rural estate consisting of a large, refurbished farmhouse and several utility buildings - a pair of stables and several storage shacks. Situated in the middle of rolling plains, it was a perfect place for casual riding.

Selene glanced towards her eldest brother, Thomas, who's caught up right next to Johann and - being the motorhead that he was, had already begun prattling - with great enthusiasm about his new Aston Martin - the latest addition to his personal collection of sports cars and luxury cars. One could tell which day of the week it is, simply from which car Thomas is driving on that particular day. The corporate heiress was however, appearing somewhat distracted as she just stared blankly into space as her brothers talked about cars.

"Hey... are you okay?" Jonny spoke up, snapping Selene out of her reverie as she turned her attention back to Jonny. He probably understood what was on the corporate heiress' mind, as Selene displayed a somewhat troubled expression, despite her attempts to hide it. While she could get over the revelation that she'd attacked her friends whilst under the black crystal skull's influence, one thought that had weighed itself heavily on the English heiress' mind was Kuro's fate. She just couldn't put her finger to it... she should hate him for having kidnapped her and her father, almost unleashing a magical catastrophe upon London, and very nearly causing her to kill Star.

"Uh, yes?" Selene replied as she blinked, looking up at Jonny. But during the time Kuro had reached into her mind, for a brief moment they were - mentally - one and she'd seen part of his memories and shared his emotions, and couldn't help but feel pity, over how such a young life could be lost by being utterly consumed by the obsession over revenge. But if their positions were reversed, if she were the one who'd lost someone dear, would she have done no less? Afterall, it was always easy to claim oneself to be "the better man", on how one would consider oneself to be above such thoughts. But if Jonny, Yuki, Seth or the others were to come to harm, could she still honestly believe she'd be one to take the moral high route and not be obsessed over the notion of vengeance?

"I mean... you had a rough time to say the least. B-but if you don't wanna talk about it... thats okay too. Better we enjoy today, instead of worrying about the past, right?" Jonny's words brought her some reassurance. Because the past was exactly what she wanted to get away from. There was really no point dwelling on what had already happened, that Selene had told herself over and over again since she got up from bed. Although the night's incident certainly carried lessons to be learned.

"I'm fine, Jonny. Don't worry about me," the corporate heiress replied with a smile. "It's just that what happened to Kuro... you know, the guy who kidnapped me? What happened to me just kind of got me thinking..." the English heiress trailed off as she wondered what to say next. Should Jonny know of what happened in full? Or should he just go on and assume that everything ended happily just as how it would've seemed from his and Star's perspective?

Jonny had waited on Selene's answered with baited breath, and the confusion expressed in her answer was what had led him to inquire further. He was concerned for her, both as a friend, and as a victim of such a horrifying experience in general. Whilst the end of the nightmare had come, it was still a nightmare nonetheless, no matter how much they might try to act otherwise. London rampaged by monsters both living and dead, Selene and her father kidnapped, and the person behind it all shot dead, no chance to be brought before the courts for his crimes. He had walked out from that tower with both Star and Selene in hand, a smile on his face. Then someone broke the news to him on Kuro's fate, and it was the situation with Rin Kimiko all over again.

Why? Why did people think the only option in those situations was for someone to die?

"I'm fine, Jonny. Don't worry about me," Selene said, and for a brief moment, Jonny was more than willing to drop the subject. However, as Selene continued, the boy felt obligated by his concerns to continue.
"It's just that what happened to Kuro... you know, the guy who kidnapped me? What happened to me just kind of got me thinking..." Selene petered out with her words, and Jonny could take a guess - however vaguely - to what she was referring.

"Everything he apparently said, and what he did, was so contradictory." Jonny sighed, recalling Selene's frustrated outbursts back in the tower as he had revealed the situation in London to her. It seemed that the crystal, whatever it was, had made Kuro's words so convincing to Selene that she couldn't help but believe them. At least, that was what he wished to believe. Because he couldn't truly fathom the thought of his friend willingly turning on them like that. She had summoned the valkyrie and almost had its blade come down upon him - Star alone had prevented him from having his chest torn open, at the cost of her own safety. He was in her debt for that.

"But, whatever his motivations were... whatever grudge he held against your family..." He could feel his fist tightening at the thought of Selene being treated so cruelly for something she likely had no control or influence over. Perhaps one of the few things he truly regretted, whilst not desiring Kuro's very demise, was the missed opportunity to sock the guy in the face for what he had done.
However, he released his fist, and instead placed his palm on Selene's shoulder.
"He shouldn't have taken it out on you. You're too wonderful and kind to deserve such treatment." He said with his softest smile, before taking the first step inside the estate.

"I'll go get changed. Find me a good horse, alright?" He gave a small wave as he disappeared from sight, finding himself guided to a changing room. He was quick to remove his clothes, only his boxers on to hide his shame and with a pendant around his neck as he looked through the various sizes of riding suits available. His thin but muscular frame proved difficult when it came to finding a right proportion, and as he waited on Arthur's suit to be retrieved for that to be tested as well, he was for the most part left standing there in the room.

Guy didn't even realise his phone had fallen to the floor outside.

"But, whatever his motivations were... whatever grudge he held against your family..." Selene's gaze shifted over to Jonny's hand as he clenched his fist tightly after the corporate heiress shared the knowledge of Kuro's fate with him, giving the super speedster a worried look as he held his fist clenched as though he were wishing that Kuro wasn't dead just so he could bust him in the face. The corporate heiress' expression wasn't exactly that of disapproval, more of sending a "it's over, let it go" message to Jonny as the young Briton calmed down, relaxing his grip and instead resting a reassuring hand on Selene's shoulder. "He shouldn't have taken it out on you. You're too wonderful and kind to deserve such treatment," he said it with the softest smile he could muster as the Frostfires made their way to the rural estate, where they would find themselves greeted by a tall and lanky older man sporting a buzz cut and dressed in a navy tartan flannel shirt and dark gray work pants, taking a break from overseeing a pair of hired hands who were offloading bales of hay to wave cheerfully at Stravas Frostfire as the Frostfire patriarch arrived with his children (and Jonny).

"I say, it's a rare sight these days to see the Frostfires all in the same place!" the elderly estate owner exclaimed cheerfully, pushing up his slim oval-shaped eyeglasses as he strutted over to Stravas, a big grin on his face - the man was clearly of a fair complexion, although countless hours out in the sun had caused him to appear closer to a shade of pink. "But anyhow, welcome!" the old man bowed formally, before gesturing towards the refurbished farm house that served as the visitors' center.

"It's good to see that some people never change," Stravas replied with a smile as the Frostfire patriarch, along with Mrs. Frostfire, Thomas and Johann followed one of the estate owner's assistants to the stables, while Selene, Arthur and Jonny were ushered into the first floor of the visitors' center.

"That's Uncle George, or at least that's what most of the people who come here call him; his family has owned this estate for generations, and have tended to horses for many an English aristocrat," Selene nodded as she introduced the owner of the estate and stables to Jonny. "Father and Uncle George have practically known each other for life," the corporate heiress continued, sharing with Jonny a bit of history.

"Ayup, I've known Sir Stravas even before any of his kids were born... WAY back when he was your age; back in those days, my daddy was still running this estate. In a sense, we kinda grew up together," Uncle George replied with a beaming smile as he looked at Jonny. "Well, as much as I enjoyed the conversation I need to get back overseeing my hired hands... can't leave them unsupervised for more than a few moments before they start slacking off," the old man commented as he left Jonny and the two young Frostfires to their own devices outside a locker/changing room.

"I'll go get changed. Find me a good horse, alright?" Jonny said before entering the changing room, but not before Arthur tossed him a set of keys to a locker, nodding at Jonny before the super speedster entered the changing room.

"Oh, look... is that Jonny's?" Arthur asked as he got down on one knee to pick up a phone from the floor before passing it to Selene. "He must've dropped it on his way into the changing room," the youngest son of Frostfire commented.

"I'll just go in and pass it to him," Selene replied, entering the changing room before Arthur could say or do anything.

"Jonny, you dropped your-" The corporate heiress' words were cut off as she found herself being "treated" to the sight of Jonny in his boxers. For a moment Selene merely stood there in stunned silence - and given the quiet surroundings she could almost hear her own heart pounding in her chest, her heartbeat clearly speeding up as the evidence showed itself in the form of the corporate heiress' cheeks flushing pink. "Cor blimey!" Selene exclaimed as she went all wide-eyed. "Uh, sorry!" the corporate heiress squeaked as she raised Jonny's phone to show him that he dropped it, before leaving it one a nearby rack for the Briton to pick up before darting back out into the hallway.

"I take it you saw something wonderful, huh?" Arthur asked plainly, although the playful grin on his face betrayed what the third son of Frostfire really felt as he studied his younger sister's expression, while Selene leaned against a nearby wall, still wide-eyed and blushing.

Jonny had to confess, he was certainly impressed by the facility as a whole. He wondered if the Frostfires had to actually pay for any of this, or, given 'Uncle George's' relationship with the family, he effectively ran them an ongoing favour. Moreover, just who owned the horses here, was another question he had to wonder. Were they the property of the estate itself, or did their riders merely leave them in the aged man's care?
And what did it really matter, to ask such questions now, when he hadn't even gotten a riding suit on yet?

"Hope it fits..." He muttered, as having gone through the other suits that were in a nearby size range, it was time to try out Arthur's set. Holding the set of keys in his hand, Jonny looked around for the correct locker, a mental note of success going off in his head as he found it.
He began to work through the small collection of keys, inserting one after another until he could find the correct one. There was a soon a small click, but one that he realised, had not originated from the locker, but rather, the door to the changing room.

"Huh?" He turned, still without any piece of clothing save the boxers that covered his waist and upper thighs. It was in that moment he wished he had some form of warning or chance to change that fact.
"Jonny, you dropped your-" It was either by shock or sheer embarassment that Jonny did not move as Selene spoke, the corporate heiress only seeming to realise his state of dress after she had gotten a full view of both his pectoral and abdominal muscles, developed from an active lifestyle. Jonny was completely red in the face as her stare lingered, unsure how to react or what to do.

"Cor blimey!" Selene's words were an oddly accurate summary of the shocking scenario, and Jonny couldn't help but question what had driven her to walk in like that, when it should've otherwise clear what he was doing.
"Uh, sorry!" In a moment's notice, an answer appeared in the phone Selene held, which as a matter of fact was Jonny's own. So that was what she meant when she said he had dropped something. He'd have to make a mental note of keeping track of where his posessions were in the future.

N-not like Selene hadn't seen him in a similar amount of clothing before, or he had seen her in even less... but that was the beach! That was different!

But he wouldn't hold it against her... because she didn't need the extra stress, of course.
Still feeling a bit warm in his cheeks, the boy quickly opened up the locker in front of him, and looked upon the folded up suit.
The trousers were the first thing he put on, followed by the black boots. A white dress shirt soon followed, and, much to his own amusal, a crimson red jacket. Checking everything was firmly in place - if not slightly on the small side of things, leaving a few signs that the clothes were a little tight on him - he packed his normal clothes away in the locker, along with his phone. Logically, he'd have to come back later, so it seemed perfectly fine as a plan.

Jonny stepped out from the changing room, his eyes darting about. If Selene was still there waiting, it was doubtful he'd be able to avoid blushing again, and would more than likely try to avoid eye contact for it. Either by guide or by the general gist of George's earlier path, he would make his way to the stables, so they could get on with the very reason they were here.

"Okay Selene, calm down now... it's not like you haven't..." Outside the changing room the corporate heiress tried to reassure herself, breathing heavily and appearing for a moment that she was hyperventilating as the English heiress tried to get the image out of her head. It's not like she hadn't seen Jonny bare-chested afterall... and then again hadn't Jonny also seen her in garments that basically amounted to underwear - beach trip anyone? But no matter how she tried to rationalize it, it just felt wrong.

The corporate heiress cringed slightly as she heard the door open behind her. "Looking good, Jonny!" Arthur commented with a smile and his arms folded across his chest, prompting Selene to turn around to the sight of Jonny wearing one of her brother's riding suits - breeches, boots and a white dress shirt with a (surprise) crimson jacket to top it all off.

"I... I say, it certainly suits you, Jonny!" Selene commented with a sheepish smile and a nervous chuckle, still flushing on the cheeks, as she turned her gaze away.

"There, there... let's not allow a trivial misunderstanding to ruin our day ahead!" Arthur chimed in as he patted Selene on the back. "Come on, right this way - assuming your memory has already failed you at this point," the third son of Frostfire said as he gestured for Selene and Jonny to follow him to the stables. "I'll bet Uncle George has already picked out an ideal steed for us all," Arthur mused, to which Selene looked briefly at Jonny, then back at Arthur before nodding.

"Shall we?" Selene asked Jonny with a smile, having more or less regained her composure.

"Ah, so there you are!" Johann smiled as he waved at the approaching trio of Arthur, Selene and Jonny. "Uncle George wants to tell you he's picked out your rides!" that being said, the elderly estate owner walked out from inside the stables leading a chestnut-colored pony by the reins - the equine being all saddled-up and ready to ride.

"If you're new to equestrianism, I'd recommend a pony instead of a full-sized horse," Uncle George commented as he led the pony to Jonny's side. "This particular breed's a German Riding Pony, it's been described as a miniature warmblood, and possesses refined horse-like characteristics that make it ideal both as a children's pony and for sport horse competitions. A well-known breed in Europe, it's still relatively new to North America, though," the old man commented, brushing his hand down the pony's mane.

"Don't let their size fool you," Uncle George continued. "These beauties are capable of keeping up with their full-sized compatriots. Yet at the same time, they have the pony-like characteristics of having a friendly disposition and a willingness to perform - even children can easily learn to control one of these!" the old man said with a broad smile as he straightened his glasses with his free hand, before gesturing for Jonny to head over to 'try it out'. "Go on, young man," Uncle George encouraged Jonny to head over to start first by patting the pony's head. "Here's to see whether he likes you or not... give him a pat or two, and see if he likes you leading him around by the reins. Or if you'd prefer something else I'll go and see if I can get you another steed." That being said, the old man nodded as he passed the reins on the pony's bridle to Jonny, encouraging the boy to take the reins from him and try leading the pony around.

"And this one's for you, young Miss Frostfire," Uncle George smiled as one of his helpers led another equine - this one a dark chocolate, with a white vertical blaze running down the middle of its face - out of the stables by the reins, stopping next to the old man.

"Welsh Cob, the largest member of the Welsh Ponies," Selene remarked as she stroked the pony's mane with her left hand, before taking the reins from Uncle George's assistant to test the pony's personality, strolling around a bit leading the Cob around by her reins. "This one lives up to the reputation that her breed is known to possess, a hardy breed yet with a gentle disposition," the corporate heiress continued as she stroked the pony's head; and in response the Welsh Cob mare nuzzled her face against the English heiress' arm.

"Wow, bravo!" Thomas remarked as he applauded slightly at Selene's knowledge of horses. "Looks like you hadn't forgotten your equestrianism stuff despite being away for so long," the eldest Frostfire child said as he beamed at Selene, before hauling himself up onto the saddle on the back of his chosen steed, a white Anglo-Arab stallion.

"And of course, I've known you long enough that this particular one is your favorite, so I've had her specially reserved just for you when I heard the Frostfires were coming down today," Uncle George nodded at Arthur as he returned from inside the stables leading by the reins a black Swedish Warmblood mare.

"Thank you so much, Uncle George!" Arthur exclaimed cheerfully as he went up to the horse, taking the reins from the old man. "You've reserved Midnight for me!" the youngest son of Frostfire smiled as he led the Swedish Warmblood, named Midnight, presumably due to its pure black coat, which amongst this particular breed was a rarity.

"So, Jonny... how's it going for you?" Selene asked, looking at Jonny's to see how well the super speedster was bonding with his steed, as the English heiress hauled herself onto the saddle, resting the raised heels of her riding boots against the stirrups before taking a few steps forward on the back of her German Riding Pony.

"Looking good, Jonny!" Was not a response the boy had anticipated to hear, and he briefly turned his head to acknowledge Arthur's comment.
"T-thanks. Its a bit on the small side, but I think I'll manage..." He said, rolling his arm slightly to again test out just how much the material could take.
"I... I say, it certainly suits you, Jonny!" Selene's voice spoke up, and Jonny briefly turned to look at her, before looking away again just as quickly.
"G-glad you like it Selene..." He slowly rubbed the back of his neck, unsure why he appreciated her comment a great deal more than her brother's, despite them effectively being the same thing.

"There, there... let's not allow a trivial misunderstanding to ruin our day ahead!" The youngest of the Frostfire brothers chimed in, and Jonny dropped his hand as he nodded. Though he wasn't sure such a thing should be considered trivial, he was more than willing to leave it behind them, rather than let his concerns and worries focus upon it.
"My memory is pretty good, but please, guide the way." Jonny said to Arthur, wondering what kind of horse he might be able to ride today. There were a variety of breeds descended from different sires after all, so there was quite a variety out there.

"Shall we?" The corporate heiress asked, and Jonny, having regained at least some of his confidence, gave a small bow as he moved an arm forward.
"Ladies first." He said, before following thereafter.

Jonny perked up as Johann addressed them from afar, saying that 'Uncle George' had already picked out their horses. The first to emerge from the stables was a healthy looking pony, which Jonny had to wonder about as to whose ride it was.
"If you're new to equestrianism, I'd recommend a pony instead of a full-sized horse," Uncle George spoke as he drew the steed to the the young speedster, and it didn't much longer after that for Jonny to realise that he was intended to mount the creature.

Even if not a full horse, it was certainly a sizeable creature, that stood as high as the average person. It certainly seemed to match the rich and proud description that George saw fit to give it, and the boy placed a hand upon it, as the man gestured. The horse's reaction was limited, but it did not seem to mind Jonny's presence at the very least. Taking the reins into his hands, the boy began to slowly walk around the stable courtyard, the pony's feet rising and falling as it stepped after him. Jonny guided the creature for at least a minute, just to be completely assured that it accepted him, before finally stopping.

"Let's have some fun then." He smirked as he drew down the pony's side, before pulling himself up onto the saddle, his legs soon spread out over either side of leather emplacement.
"So, Jonny... how's it going for you?" Selene asked, and with a slight tug of the reins and a shift in posture, Jonny turned to see her on the back of the pony.
"I think we'll work well together. Looks like you're all set up over there too." He said as he gave the pony a light stroke on the head, before lightly tapping its sides with his feets, driving it forward.

He aligned the creature to match Selene's, allowing for more convenient conversation as they awaited approval to ride out.
"I've done horse riding all of once before, back during a summer holiday. So I remember the basics, but I'll probably take a bit before I'm up to speed on everything again." He supposed in some ways it was like riding a bike, though even that was rarely the 'touch and go' type of memory some people believed it to be. One had to get used to their centre of gravity, how they balanced themselves, shifts in speed, and all the like, before they could ride a bike as good as they had years before, assuming they had stopped in between.

"Don't suppose you'd know what the names for these two are?" He asked all of a sudden, realising that it might be hard to directly refer to the horses otherwise. Though, should he be in earshot, chances were Uncle George would fill in the little details. The man showed quite a passion for his horses, and Jonny could only claim he'd be able to recite such things because of a photographic memory, rather than taking such a severe interest in them.
"I wonder how far we're allowed to ride. Don't want to accidentally have this fella wind up trampling over someone else's land."

"I think we'll work well together. Looks like you're all set up over there too." Selene nodded at Jonny's reply as the super speedster pulled himself up onto the pony's saddle after taking him around in hand for a bit, tapping gently on his sides with his feet and causing the pony to take several steps forward. As far as the two were concerned, there was no mistake that the steed and its rider were a perfect match for each other.

"Ah, he likes you!" the corporate heiress beamed at Jonny - either he wasn't entirely new to equestrianism, or he took to it like a duck to water, giving the super speedster a nod as he drew level next to Selene and her mount.

"I've done horse riding all of once before, back during a summer holiday. So I remember the basics, but I'll probably take a bit before I'm up to speed on everything again." Selene nodded as Jonny explained how he had prior experience with horse-riding. It had only been once, as far as Jonny was concerned, but it was probably similar to riding a bike. Once you get the hang of it the skills tend to stay with you for life. "Don't suppose you'd know what the names for these two are?" Jonny asked, while still within earshot of Uncle George.

"That'd be Kleiner Donner you're riding. In German it literally means, Little Thunder," the elderly estate owner replied with a knowing smile as he went up to Jonny and Selene. "He was bred from the same lineage as a Thoroughbred named Thunder, and such a fine horse he was... due to the fact he displayed many of his predecessor's traits his breeders have named him thusly," Uncle George continued as her took off his glasses to wipe them with a handkerchief from his shirt pocket, holding them up to the sun to give a brief examination before putting them back on and adjusting their position on his nose bridge. "And Miss Frostfire is riding Arwen... dunno why her breeders named her after a Lord of the Rings character, maybe they liked J.R.R. Tolkien's writings in general?" Uncle George commented with a slight shrug.

"You read up on the history of each and every horse that comes into your stables?" Selene asked in astonishment. "That's amazing!"

"It's a passion of mine, Miss Frostfire, just like how you have a deep passion for music, tea and fine art; this isn't just my job... it's my life," the old man replied, grinning broadly. "And to the equine lovers, this is also an investment - they visit competitions and horse shows to find the best champions to breed; and here's where I come in when they show up on my estate with their steeds," Uncle George continued, folding his arms across his chest. "Me and my boys look after the aristocrats' equine investments, to make sure they have the perfect place to live, and so that their champions can breed young champions. Of course, but I prefer not to look upon them as mere investments, they're as close to me as any friend!" he said cheerfully as he patted Kleiner Donner and Arwen encouragingly on the rumps before returning to his work.

"I wonder how far we're allowed to ride. Don't want to accidentally have this fella wind up trampling over someone else's land."

"If my memory of this surrounding countryside still serves me well, we can keep proceeding in either North or West until we run into a wire fence; that would be the boundary that separate's Uncle George's estate from another person's property, if we head east we'd eventually run into a wooded area," Selene replied thoughtfully, before looking at Jonny with a smile. "So, you ready?" the corporate heiress asked as she held up Arwen's reins.

Jonny looked down at Kleiner Donner as its name was given, and he couldn't help but find it appropriate that a boy who ran faster than sound, would have a steed called 'Little Thunder'. Perhaps George, given how seemingly close he was to the Frostfire family, had been told in advance by Selene about Jonny's abilities. If not, then clearly, the world had a sense of humour to it after all.
"If thats all true, then this guy should give me a great time." He said, thinking on what to call it. Kleiner Donner was a bit too formal and longwinded to say in casual conversation, after all.

"I'll call him Donny." He laughed slightly, before the name and explanation behind it was given for Selene's own horse. Arwen? As in the princess of the elves from Lord of the Rings?
Well, he supposed it was somewhat appropriate then. After all, Selene was effectively a corporate princess, and she could certainly had the looks for an elf.
Riding horseback with an elf princess... made the thought of all this just that little more interesting, he supposed, even if limited to his imagination.

Either way, it was clear that Uncle George had a deep love of the horses he cared for, and Jonny would confess he couldn't think of something he had similar feelings for. He had passing interests, things and persons he cared for, but nothing for which he would devote his entire life to. Nothing that would sum up both his interests and his career, in the same way horses did for George.
Yet it was also strange to learn that Selene had passions for music, tea, and fine art - things that George presumably knew from having seen her grow over the years. To learn that from someone else, rather than Selene herself, briefly got the boy speedster thinking.

And what he realised, was that it was much of the same problem he had realised back during their time at the beach. He knew honest to god so little about his friends around him, and this was proof of that fact. Knowing that, and with the time now available to him, he soon resolved himself to know Selene at least a little better by the time this day was done.
"So, you ready?" The aforementioned corporate heiress asked, and Jonny shot her a smile.
"As I'll ever be." He said, before knocking the sides of his pony with his feet. The jolt sent the large mammal racing forward, much to the boy's surprise - it wasn't often that something else dragged him along at high speed.

"Easy now." He said, pulling back on the reins and applying some weight, so that eventually, the horse would slow.
"Should probably take it slower for a bit." He'd joke to himself, or Selene if she had followed after him. He would begin to move Donny once more, though starting with a light tap of the heels. The pony would move slowly for a bit, as Jonny eased himself into gaining control, taking occasional turns here and there. After a few moments, he would pick up the pace, steed and rider getting faster and faster, until eventually, they rode at full speed across the estate. Jonny didn't often feel the rush of the wind in his face, a side effect of how his powers protected him. He had to admit, it was pretty exhilarating.
"You do this every time you come back home?" He'd yell over at Selene, a clear look of excitement and joy across his face.

"I say, the horse and the rider go together like tea and muffins!" Selene chuckled at how Uncle George had picked a horse that fits Jonny perfectly just by his namesake alone. The fastest boy she knew, who could go faster than the speed of sound, and to match a steed named Little Thunder. The corporate heiress wondered though, just how much of it was coincidence and how much was Uncle George knowingly making such a choice. It wasn't too surprising, based on how close he was to the Frostfire family, that one of her brothers might've informed the old man on Jonny's abilities. And the playful grin on Arthur's face wasn't helping matters any, either. "Donny... that's a nice nickname. Rhymes with your own name doesn't it?" the corporate heiress asked Jonny after he gave the nickname of "Donny" to Kleiner Donner.

"As I'll ever be." Selene nodded at Jonny's response, followed by the super speedster spurring on the pony by knocking his heels in the saddle stirrups against Donny's sides, causing the pony to jolt forward in a run.

"Jonny!" A concerned corporate heiress called out, jerking on the reins and giving Arwen a tap on the side with her heel to bring the Welsh Cob into a canter to join Jonny and Donny side by side after the super speedster managed to get his mount to slow down, allowing Selene to catch up to him on Arwen's back.

"Should probably take it slower for a bit." Selene heard Jonny say as she caught up. Nodding, the two of them started out slow to allow the super speedster to ease himself into gaining control over the creature, picking up pace until they reached full speed, with the corporate heiress riding alongside Jonny, or at least trying her best to keep as close to each other as possible. "You do this every time you come back home?" Jonny yelled, clearly finding the experience exhilarating.

"About once or twice every month, ever since Johann and Thomas are all grown-up we don't get together as often as we used to,"" Selene replied cheerfully, spurring on Arwen to match Donny step for step as the two steeds worked themselves into a full gallop. Sure, they'd spent time together as well, but despite the beach trip and their adventures together as the Musketeers, the corporate heiress realized that there's still many areas of Jonny's life that she didn't know of. Such as his family background... sure, during their little filming session she'd heard of his family background when Yuki asked him about it. But the question is... how much of it that day was his actual family background and which parts were fabricated for the purposes of staying in-character with their fictional counterparts?

"How about you, Jonny? How do you and your family spend your free time together?" Selene asked. "Also... remember the time you told Yuki-chan about your family background as our movie characters? Just wondering, you know? Like, which parts are your actual background and which parts are made-up for story purposes?" the corporate heiress smiled broadly at her question, taking this chance to not only put the unpleasant memories of the previous night behind them, but also to get to know her fellow Briton.

Jonny hadn't really considered the fact he ended up giving Kleiner Donner a nickname that rhymed with his own. But once Selene called him out on it, he couldn't help but find it amusing. Maybe it showed a small preference within him when it came to such prefereces.
"About once or twice every month, ever since Johann and Thomas are all grown-up we don't get together as often as we used to," Jonny expressed a small amount of surprise as he rode when Selene gave her answer to his question on how regular family socials were. Because taking her words as they were, that either meant she arrived back home at least once or twice every month - which he supposed wouldn't be completely impossible for someone with a private jet - or that within the periods she was present, she really spent some time together with her family.

"Well, at least you still manage to have some time together as you've grown. Which I have to admit, is pretty amazing, given that you're all separated across at least two continents." After all, Selene, despite her age, was deeply involved in the way things worked at the Hyakuji headquarters, which in many respects looked out for the larger Japanese market. That Arthur and Johann might be expected to do the same elsewhere, was not entirely unlikely, particularly given the scope of Frostfire Industries. Though given the sheer press coverage that was put onto Selene and Thomas, it was also possible that these two simply hadn't taken part in the family business. After all, each was allowed to choose their own path, given the options available to them.

Jonny had to confess that Selene's control of a race was incredible, as she and Arwen matched him and Donny almost hoof for hoor as they rode around the estate. And this was despite the fact only one of them had sped up perception, and the enhanced reflexes that came with that. But, he supposed experience - and likely lots of it - was the answer there. He couldn't be sure if she was up to that particular degree, as he didn't have many pools of reference available to him at the time, but perhaps she'd do well in horse riding as a sport? Or, to take it to its logical conclusion, perhaps she'd make a fine candidate for the Olympics?

Then again, wouldn't the rest of the Frostfires have such a claim as well?

"How about you, Jonny? How do you and your family spend your free time together?" The question came, and Jonny spent a moment on trying to figure out the answer.
"Also... remember the time you told Yuki-chan about your family background as our movie characters? Just wondering, you know? Like, which parts are your actual background and which parts are made-up for story purposes?" Stuck to further develop his answer, Jonny eventually decided upon how to explain it all.

"Well, it typically starts out with a great of hugs and talk of how great it is to see each other again, at least since I started going to Hyakuji." The ultimate shift into going to a foreign school had been key to Jonny's life, and as crazy and dangerous as it often got, he didn't really regret it.
"And from there... just really a lot of catching up, and maybe going somewhere for a good time. Suppose its been a while since I went to Thorpe Park." His mind thought back to the various rollercoasters, and the first time he'd thought on how slow Stealth was. Once he'd sworn not to try and use his powers, and then got strapped in, he was singing a different tune.

"But really, before then, we were rather general about things. And I don't see them particularly regularly nowadays. This reunion certainly wasn't planned in advance." He said, before realising that such an allusion wasn't one he wished to end on, and thus he moved on to the next part of his answer.
"And basically speaking, it was all true, with minor bits adjusted to brush over where my powers were involved." He said, though if he recalled correctly, he had managed that fairly well.

"Like my social life. You'd be amazed at how many want to be around you, but not bother to actually know you, when you're the only kid in range with powers." Completely different from Hyakuji, where half the school's gimmick was that they catered to such abilities.
"Don't suppose you'd know what I mean?" Well, either she knew enough people on a similar social class before Hyakuji that it didn't matter, or her place as one of the richest girls on the planet had indeed isolated her. But, he would only take his answer from one source, and it was the one riding right beside him.
