After taking the time to register for the coming school year, as well as taking the time to get used to her newfound surroundings, Altlene had one more task to accomplish for this day before she could return to what passed as her freetime: a proper systems check on the other functionality she was equipped with: combat. While she currently found no reason to need her armor, it was always best to make sure she was 100% functional, rather than ending up failing at the last second.

Thankfully, the staff at the Neo-Photon Lab was fairly accommodating and allowed the use of one of their testing rooms for this task. It also allowed for data to be recorded, so Altlene could use it in future endeavors.

"HiMe System...activate." Altlene muttered ever so softly as she held her right hand to her chest, concentrating as she ran the program that changed her into her combat ready status. Her eyes flashed briefly before she made one single and proud statement.

"RIDE ON!"

And in a flash of light her armor began equipping itself. First the chest plate formed while the cuisses and cufflinks disappeared, as well as the katyusha in her hair. First thing that formed was the leg armor which slid over her legs rather easily. The next thing that materialized was the rather complex back assembly, which Altlene needed to lift her hair up so it wouldn't get caught in it. This assembly attached to the ports on her back, the mechanical skirt and the two manipulator arms folded forward and then locked into place.

Last but not the least her maid hair ornament was finally replaced with the head crest, completing her look as the sequence finished. That done, she dropped to the ground and turned to her partner for this exercise, smiling warmly.

"Are you ready too?"

"Yeah, just give me a moment. I haven't really used it for something like testing purposes, so I hope I can hold back," Aisia said as she leapt up and down and swung her arms around to warm up. After that, she casually raised her hand in the air and caught a small, hand-sized object.

Her Skygrasper.

"Henshin. Phase Shift on."

[CAST ON|CHANGE AILE]

Aisia assumed the form of Kamen Rider Strike in her basic Aile form, as it had most of everything they would need to test out Altlene's defensive and offensive systems. Unlike Altlene's armor, which was pretty much an exoskeletal powered mechanism, Strike was an actual armor that covered her completely from head to toe, even covering her face.

With out further ado, she pulled out her beam sabers and ignited them, the crimson beams extending out until it reached a typical sword's length. "Let's start with the melee options, I guess. Come at me, Altlene!" she said, even wiggling her forefinger towards her in what would be a normally taunting gesture, but also signaled the start of the battle test.

"Roger, Miss Aisia!" Altlene exclaimed, still using her strange way of addressing people despite having gotten on more friendly terms. Either way, the two giant arms held themselves forward as her signature weapon formed within her extra pair of hands: the Sieglinde energy broadsword. The blue blade was glowing brightly before Altlene took a deep breath before lunching forward. So far so good, her armor was responding and the weapons transfer system also functioned so all that was left was the stress test...

"Ei...!"

A single horizontal cleave when she got in range, simple moves and she would gradually push her limits, though had to keep her power consumption in mind too..!

Neo-Photon Lab.

A tiny, doll-like frame raises its head, and gazes its goldish-brown eyes upon the tall, pyramidal building, before lowering them back down onto the piece of paper she has received on her table this morning.

It was apparently a note left behind by Altlene, her robotic maid, friend, or whichever way Altlene'd prefer her to be called. She needed to perform some sort of maintenance check with a girl named Aisia Asakura here, apparently.

Of course, there was no such name in the diary.

It took her some time to actually get into the lab, and to the place where Altlene and Aisia conduct the test drive. Given that her size is pretty petite, and her age looks almost like 12 years old, it raised a lot of suspicion among the guards. After a LOT of checking, rechecking, and triple-checks, they have finally let her go in.

She walks into the place where Altlene and Aisia would be at, and stare at the two people beneath at the combat room.

So that's Altlene there?

The girl tilts her head, and stare at the unfamiliar sight. Even though she could identify Altlene from the hair and the white outfit that she wears, she looks quite different from the photograph that she has had. And even if she could identify, she feels a detachment from the scene.

Is this really Altlene that she sees right here, right now?

Something feels off.

Aisia simply raised her shield and it took the full brunt of the slash. So far so good - the blade didn't seem weak enough that she could easily shove it out of the way or worse break it. At the same time it was a fairly good gauge for her own systems too - the shield was holding well against the attack and didn't buckle in on itself, for one.

"Good, good, blade weapons are still good. Now to see how well your frame holds against a ramming attack," Aisia said.
With that, the Aile Pack's boosters roared to life, and she pushed back at Altlene with the shield with the intent of shoving the sword out of the way and eventually bashing her with it. She wasn't pushing at full force just yet though - she increased it gradually and would top it off at around 70% boost, enough for her to know that Altlene's frame wasn't about to collapse from a forceful shove like that.

Meanwhile, she did notice the arrival of the new person, but didn't share that with Altlene just yet. After all, there was no need to distract the robot girl with something as trivial as "someone who might be your master just showed up" and possibly make her nervous. And from what she discerned regarding Altlene's behavior during their little talk in the hot springs, she seemed prone enough to doing exactly that.

Indeed...if Altlene had noticed Yuri arrive she probably would have dropped everything to say hello. She was too concentrated on her own readings to notice the person she cared about most in this world. Either way, Altlene found herself at a rather minor disadvantage as Aisia opted to try pushing her back with her armor's boosters, something she herself could not counter with force of her own as in her current configuration she was a land based combatant.

Though at least, Altlene wouldn't fall behind as the smaller girl attempted to bashher shield into the robot, Altlene managed block with her left extra arm, though it still knocked her back some. Her armor's integrity was good as new at the very least. "You don't need to hold back, it wouldn't be a proper test that way." Altlene commented, noting that Aisia hadn't used all she had with that.

It's not like she felt anything from attacks like that, despite her armor not actually looking like it protected her in any proper fashion. Still, it wasn't a stress test if punches were being pulled. At the very least, she knew she could be repaired if the damage was major. Either way, Altlene then called forth her other sword, the Brauerstern in her left arm and assumed a difference stance.

"Come at me again, please!"

"We're doing a stress test, not a 'let's see how we can break you' test, but I guess you're right," Aisia nodded. "In that case, I'll only stop then if something breaks!"

With that, she quickly boosted towards Altlene with her Aile Pack, but suddenly flipped the switch on her Skygrasper to release the Aile form. She only needed Aile to give her a fair amount of momentum for her next attack, which was evident once she changed striker packs!

[CAST ON|CHANGE SWORD]

"DORYAAAAA!"
She raised her Schwert Gewehr Anti-ship Sword into the air and ignited the blade, sending it crashing over Altlene's head!

Yuri puts her arms, crisscrossed, onto the bar behind the window. She then bends her body down, and puts her chin on top of her arms. Since her frame is tiny to begin with, it doesn't look all that odd. She then tilts her head to the side, and stares at the fight-capability check up exercise in front of her.

So this is Altlene, right? The Robot Maid that she has asked for help from?

Would it shock her, if Yuri tells her that she has obtained a way to retain her memories? Would it shock her even more, if she tells the robot girl that she feels off?

And what would she tell her parents? They don't know what happened to her yet, either. The sorcery of the scientist in the cemetery… Nobody from the real world, or, out of Hyakuji so to speak, would believe it if Yuri tells her about the existence of this scientist, or about this town in general. Of course, her parents won't believe in it, either.

Though, if it is Altlene, then she may believe it. She's from here after all, no?

But it would shock the girl if she told her that she has lost something in the process of obtaining the memories, no? And if Altlene is a person like how she has described in her diary, it is very possible that Altlene would go after this scientist and tries to hunt him down and kill him before anything. And that's not quite what she wants, especially not if this scientist can help her in solving her problem, even if temporarily.

Yes. She must be natural. And normal. And the same way as she has always been. That's the only way she can make it happen, so that nobody finds out about the accident that happened, and the slight bit off she has underwent.

That's how she is going to do this.

With that thought in mind, Yuri pulls up a grin, like she remembered herself doing, and stare on with the proceeding fight. This is at least how much she can do right now, no?

"Brunhilde!"

Altlene raised her left manipulator arm and summoned her shield in order to protect her head from the giant sword, though it wasn't going to last long under the sheer power of it. Further it was difficult to mount a counter attack due to Sieglinde being rather unwieldy in this position but...it didn't mean she was out of options. After all, she still had her own to arms to use.

"Brauerstern!"

While holding her position she brought up her right arm, summoning the hilt of the sword and pointing it forward, to which it ignited immediately to stab the Strike before her!

... Well, at least she knows how to defend herself, Aisia idly thought to herself as Altlene stabbed her with Brauerstern. She was barely able to get her own shield down to deflect it, but it managed to nick part of her chest armor and allow Altlene to push her off.
"Good, you've know how to use your close combat weapon and your closer combat weapon," she chuckled. "That bigger sword should be good for keeping your distance, while the smaller sword should be good for when you get too close. Always remember that.

"... Speaking of distance, let's see how well you can close it."

Aisia quickly dashed backwards to widen the gap between her and Altlene, and changed packs yet again!

[CAST ON|CHANGE LAUNCHER]

She quickly assumed the Launcher Strike form and raised her Agni Impulse Cannon at Altlene even as she was still flying backwards from the momentum.
"Eat this!"
She pulled the trigger, and a lance of red and blue energy was hurled right at Altlene, causing her to fly back further from the blast!

Altlene's design did not lend well to defending her main body from damage. While she technically had another configuration for her armor that'd help for closing in and avoiding the blast, she did not share the luxury of being able to switch as easily as Aisia did, so instead she had to use a riskier method of countering...

The shield rotated on the arm connection and Altlene proceeded to combine the hilt of the Sieglinde into the port at the top of the Brunhilde, combining them into a new weapon: the Geirskogul. The shield disconnected from the arm as the android held it in front of her, rotating the manipulators arm at the wrist to spin the weapon as quickly as possible.

This rotation provided a better shield, though even then it wouldn't hold properly against the Agni blast. Even though it was doing a good job of deflecting the blast, the arm wasn't taking too kindly to the beam, slowly beginning to melt as Altlene dashed forward.

Still, all she needed to do was get close enough so she could use the Brauerstern and cut the oversized cannon...!

"... Ahhh, dammit. This is EXACTLY what I wanted to avoid."
Aisia turned off the beam as soon as she saw that the arm on Altlene's armor was melting, and leaped back by shooting the ground with the cannon to avoid the incoming slash. Altlene did, to her credit, manage to strike the cannon, cutting off the front of the barrel and rendering it useless unless Aisia wanted it to explode on the next shot.

There wouldn't be a next shot though. She landed gently with the assistance of her boosters, and quickly pulled off her belt to cancel the transformation.
"Well, I DID say I would stop if something breaks," Aisia sighed as she motioned to Altlene's armored arm. "It looks like your defensive capabilities are pretty adequate... but it doesn't last for too long under prolonged fire. You might want to take that into consideration so that you can adequately refresh your shields and not damage them too much. It looks good enough to deflect an energy shot for a few seconds before it starts failing, so I would use that time to dodge it and move closer instead, possibly try to flank the enemy that way. You kind of had the right idea that time, but it's too risky to do that head-on unless you could cover ground much faster than that."

Aisia smiled a bit and patted Altlene's arm, never mind how awkward that seemed since Altlene was way taller. "You don't have to push yourself too hard. Only do that if there's nothing left. Otherwise, you'll damage yourself too much, and you'll make her sad," she said, nodding towards their single spectator.

"Eh...?"

Altlene was a little disappointed that the test ended this way, though not because Aisia stopped her because of the damage she may have received from a continued assault, but because she had to resort to such a tactic in the end. Just another thing she needed to work on. Of course, Aisia finally pointed out there was a spectator, which didn't give Altlene much time to actually think of ways to do so.

Yuri.

She had seen that "embarrassing" conclusion to the exercise. So much that she didn't know what to do other than just wave the manipulator arm that still functioned at her.

Yuri tilts her head a little in confusion, when she sees what sort of test, exactly, they were doing. She originally thought it was some sort of output-capacity tests, but it turned out to be something more. Something rather violent feeling, she reckon.

She had wondered for a little bit, before she came to the conclusion that it was also part of Altlene's ability, to be able to fight in combats, so to protect her master, so to speak. Of course, whether this is the real case, she knows not. It's just one of those educated guesses that she is good at making, really.

And the other girl… Aisia Asakura, was it? Well, that's quite a strange gear that she has had on, too. And how it disappeared in an instant also interests her. Did she really pulled the gun out, and the sword out, and the shield and all those combat equipment out of nowhere?

Yuri couldn't help but to shake her head. So the crossed-out diary entries were right. There really were some sort of power-users existing in this world. It was no fantasy.

And this town, Hyakuji, is a town specifically created as a community for these people.

Well, where would she, a person as normal as she appears to be, fit in this so-called superhuman community?

During the time that she ponders on these questions, Aisia and Altlene has already concluded their testing, resulting in Altlene's injuries.

Yuri frowns, as she takes note of Altlene's melted armor piece. The gears are showing through the 'wound', further confirming that the maid that works in her house really is a robot. It is also a frown, however, that can be interpreted as concern as worries- the young mistress of Altlene may not really be taking the fact that Altlene is damaged all too well.

However, when she notices that Aisia and Altlene are looking up at her, she pulls her warmer, more cheerful smiles up again, and waves her hand at them, acknowledging that she sees that they saw her.

She then moved her lips, and tries to voice something to Altlene without having the laboratory staff look at her weirdly.

"I will wait for you up here." is what her lips reads out to be.

Aisia couldn't help but smile at the way the two were trying to greet each other. If it weren't for the gears and the fact that Altlene more or less told her about it, she'd have mistaken them to be friends instead of Master and MMS.

It kind of made her wonder, what would happen if the world's technology would advance so far as to mass produce someone like Altlene. Would it be akin to mass producing Miharu and Minatsu from back home? Would that render the very thing that made Altlene special - individuality - pointless?

Suddenly, she looked up at Yuri's position, and her smile froze.

Something was up there with her.

"... Ah, that's too bad. I was rooting for Altlene too," a high pitched nasal voice sighed behind Yuri. Where did she come from? Where did she go?
Where did she come from, Cotton Eyed Joe Hinata "Otoha" Kagura?
"And so, we meet again! I was kind of expecting you to show up earlier, actually, but never mind that," Otoha chuckled. "Don't worry about her, I think she's got a self-repair function, kind of like what Aisia's Strike packs do, so Altlene should be fine."

She took out a pirate's telescope and zoomed in on Altlene's damaged arm. "... Probably. That actually looks a bit nasty. I don't know if we'll need to repair it. But we have the technology. We can make her harder. Better. Stronger. Faster. More than ever hour after, our work is never over - err, you get the idea."

Meanwhile below, Aisia was facepalming.
