For the majority of the time, Brandon remained half-asleep on his desk while people were introducing themselves, talking about how the prank at Kaimu had gone to hell and about Ghandi's bold actions. Let the world continue with its rambles. He would have no part in it. Well, that was what he had in mind, until one of the students questioned about the true purpose of the prank. It surprised Brandon, and he himself began to reflect on his own actions during the prank. Despite his initial intentions he had actually tried to help out the River City Ransom, an act that was probably very similar to signing one's own death warrant. Without a second thought Brandon slammed his palms on his desk, stood out of his chair and quickly glanced around the room. "Brandon Groza, third year," he calmly said without hesitation. "I also participated in the prank on Kaimu, because I believed that there was a just cause behind it." He was referring to the River City Ransom and their stunt at the concert, obviously. "I support this dude's opinion on the matter; even though the prank was initially a success, the tables turned on us." Brandon paused in his rant, quietly debating to himself whether or not he should reveal the fact that the River City Ransom never really had ill intent against Hyakuji High. Would anyone believe him? Even if they did, what difference would it make? No, his little dark secret was better off not known, at least for now. "And...well, the fight we started on their turf led to the deaths of innocent people. I know none of us really expected such a crazy thing to occur...but it happened anyway." And with that, Brandon seated himself, slightly slouched and closed his eyes. His input on the matter was over for now, and he did not worry of any backlash the other students might have formulated to present. He was too damn tired to care anymore. |

Deaths? He didn't hear about this. He may need to ask a little bit more. Maybe from Selene? Who knows. This whole thing was getting out of hand, and... "I still don't understand why. The why factor. Not only in their actions, but ours. Who approved such prank. Such use of force. God I dimensionally jump for a few months and the shit hits the fan so badly the fan explodes." |

Hazel Emory
|
After being educated to a small degree in the orphanage so many years before, she found purpose in continuing this education. Hazel knew there had to be better opportunities here, at Hyakuji High. She wished not to experience what she previously had. This was her first time ever at an actual school, it was somewhat overwhelming. She ended up arriving quite late, as she had become lost. She was in no way nervous, or fretting the matter, but it certainly was different. On her own, things had seemed so different. There were many around her age, all sitting so organized in desks neatly place. In all honesty, she disliked the company of all the others. They all seemed so different from her, it was much like she had always seen. Hazel found herself a desk in the back, as far from the crowd as she could. She did not want to be a burden, nor did she want to socialize with others around her. The least she said was her name, "Hazel Emory, present.". She spoke in a quiet voice, somewhat detectable by average hearing. She sat down, with her arms crossed neatly on the desk. She rested her chin in the gap. People all around her spoke, none of which were familiar faces or voices. It was all so....different. This experience was completely new to her, and she was unsure whether it would have a positive or negative outcome. Her only concern at the time was blending in and getting through the day. Conversations continued, rambling about things she hadn't had the chance to experience. Her ears flicked gently as voices grew louder to her ears. She pressed them down with her hands, holding them in a lowered position. She peered down to her empty desk. All her books and class material were in her bag. Her feet shuffled on the ground, the floor was quite cold. This hadn't bothered her, however. She had gone her whole life without shoes, they seemed unfitting, and were the least bit comfortable. Hazel sat, only waiting and watching the faces of the other students light up. Her eyes wandered to the teacher. It was again, someone she had never seen. She appeared an interesting person. She was quite busty, much the opposite of Hazel. Looks meant nothing to her, however. Perhaps it had to do something with growing up as a fox, whereas appearance was not a matter. Her hair was left in it's natural curl, her uniform sloppily put on (to be honest, she wasn't quite sure of the purpose of it). She much preferred her casual clothing. This clothing did not suit her, nor did it comfortably fit with her tail. She curled it around her stomach, as if in an insecure way. She somewhat hid her face in the shadows, her hands still occupied. |

"And the fact that we're being blamed for the collateral damage, weren't helping matters," Katy squirmed at Seth's comment. Just one more thing she blamed herself for. Then Seth started talking to himself. Katy narrowed her eyes in thought. Dissociative personalities? she thought. Though it certainly explains his behavior in the Hyakuzor.... Katy's attention was stolen by Cerium. At the end of it all, she was unimpressed with Cerium's reasoning, yet at the same time was flattered that Cerium had deigned to make physical contact with Katy. All the same, she fidgeted slightly at the contact. "But the fact that it happens at all is reason enough to worry," Katy said. She turned in her seat to watch Cerium proceed to the back of the room next to the shouting guy and some silver haired girl. Katy stared at the girl for a brief moment; were there super powered hair colors too? Katy was about to comment on the action part, but then Cerium mentioned Gandhi and Katy clamped her mouth shut; it was her personal policy not to get involved in discussions about philosophy. "...You guys don't think that we probably deserved it?" At this, Katy's temper flared. "What?" she implored. "Those blighters got what they deserved! They are the ones that started all this; particularly that bloody student council president!" She stopped and thought for a split second. She backpedaled. "Er. So I hear, anyway." It would probably be obvious to Seth and Jonny that Katy's intense hatred of the Kaimu StuCo President was coloring her biased. To everyone else, she'd probably just look like a hair-triggered moron. "My name is Lucidus Levis." Lucidus calmly stated, he was still rather preoccupied with his thoughts so he made his answer short so he wasn't distracted by his thoughts that much. He yawned then rubbed his eyes, he had gotten very little sleep because he got very little sleep and it was definetly affecting him. Lucidus continued to sit at his desk as he listened to everyone giving their opinions about what happened at the prank. It did turn really bad on them really quickly, and just about no one could of seen just how far that it would of gone. He definetly agreed while waiting and staying on the defensive was the best idea it couldn't work in this situation since no matter what they did it seemed to be turned around and end up being bad for them not Kaimu, it was unbelievingly frustrating. "Those blighters as you put it were just protecting their school's pride." Lucidus paused for a moment to think of the proper words to put next. "Now I'm not saying that what they did wasn't a massive over reaction for a prank, especially going so far to make it look like we were the ones to completely wreck the place, but still they were just protecting their school even if they were doing it in an unjust manner, " It was his personal opinion on the matter, and he really didn't care what anyone else thought of it, he was way to tired. If anyone wanted to yell at him he decided that he would probably just ignore it, that was his opinion and if people didn't like it, then it was to bad for those people. He was taken aback form her sudden outbreak, to the point where he had actually attempted on pushing his chair away from her as far as he could, even if she was already a few seats away from him in the first place. "Well... no, that's not..." He stammered, quite honestly not sure what to do to get out from the potential argument that might perpetuate itself from this. To be frank, he wasn't sure if he had ever been in any sort of real arguments before, so this was an uncomfortable zone for him. Nevertheless, he decided to take the peace route, taking a deep breath as he collected his thoughts, before once again saying out. "I'm not saying that they don't deserve it. What I'm saying is, was taking revenge really the best way to deal with the problem?" He scratched his head, turning away from even more potential death glare from anyone. Though it seemed like he had managed to get away just fine from earlier, he's not sure whether he'd be able to now. Everyone was extremely bitter that Kaimu had ruined everything this school had done to keep the school alive, so the thought of taking revenge was pretty much inevitable. But still, in his mind, "I think it's kinda pointless. I mean, what was there to achieve?" Yes, he's expecting people to counter his point with the fact that even he himself participated in the event. Piloting the very machinery that had given the Kaimu's Student Council President an excuse to rip Hyakuji off the very last strand of life it had, but his points would still stand. "Surely there's something better to do than to plot revenge against them. I mean, shouldn't we have done something more constructive?" Wonder how Jameson would have felt if he heard him say this? |

Jonny had begun to shut out most of the arguments around him. He didn't want to get into some screaming contest, not with these people. For him, the point of the prank had seemed obvious - to show Kaimu they couldn't simply get away with all the stuff they pulled. That stuff being: A) ruining their festival B) desecrating the dignity of the students and civilians and C) blackmailing them to take all the money they had raised. By comparison, just changing their school colours around was pretty damn tame. And thinking on it, Kaimu were the ones to call in their giant robot first - Hyakuzor had only be summoned in response to it. It seemed that in most - if not all cases - Kaimu had been the aggressor. So how had it come to be that people seemed to think that it was such a place that currently held the moral high ground? However, Katy practically vented for him, though perhaps her language was a tad colourful for her point. Hearing it... it made him think, and he thankfully kept it to himself. She has a point. Discounting the giant robots - since ours was in response to them pulling one out anyway - what we did wasn't so bad compared to them. Our prank? Change their school colours, show them they wouldn't get away with messing with us, done. Their prank? Unleash a virus that strips everyone in the area - students and civilians alike - of their clothing, take photos, and blackmail us out of the money we worked so hard to earn, for the sake of wiping our school off the map. We're oh so bad compared to them, aren't we?! His thoughts were awfully negative right now. But then, he was still thinking how this could be all his fault. Even more so, considering... He shoved an arm down the front of his shirt, pulling out the pendant, which shone slightly in its green hue. He knew the reasons why he hadn't used its spell in the fight. Enhancements to himself wouldn't have been reflected in the machine. And his opponent had attacked mentally, not solely physically. But he couldn't help but wonder what would have happened. If he'd been outside the machine. Free to move faster than a speeding bullet, and to hit far harder than one. Would he have been of more use? Could he have actually found a way to dispense Justice on the enemy then? |

"You know, while all of us here made pretty good points... don't you think we've digressed a little too much at this point?" Selene chimed in; the corporate heiress had till now kept quiet and listened to what everyone had been talking about so far. While she wasn't physically present in the counter-prank team, she was beginning to get the picture of what had happened on that night. It was kinda... ironic, considering what she had been conversing with Lorenzo about over dinner on that evening. Never had she thought what she'd feared would actually come to pass later on that same night. What originally started out as a tit-for-tat against Kaimu's prank degenerated into a slugfest between two humongous mecha that left Kaimu High School (and part of the city itself) in ruins and now Hyakuji was set up to take the blame as the aggressor in this incident? Preposterous! Selene thought. Who'd have thought the rival school would stoop to such lows to run their school into the ground? But Seth and Cerium made a point - and the latter had even made a reference to Gandhi to enforce her point. It was like he had said before - an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind. "What I mean is, that while we can't let Kaimu get away scot-free for all this - Cerium-sensei and Seth-kun put it well; that should be another talk for another time, when we're a little less emotional over it." What a way to start off one's morning, as Selene could already feel the weight of all the emotions that was building up at this point. |
