"This school is in enough financial issues. The last thing we need is SCHOOL PROPERTY damaged by your shenanigans. Until further notice, do not bother attending classes. Come straight here. Welcome to Hell." As soon as Nicholas Mare made this declaration, the two boys would suddenly find their surroundings in Skipmo shifting, their very reality bending and warping to deliver the punishment environment decided upon by the teacher who is currently in charge of Skipmo. As reality stabilized itself, both Shad and Steve would find themselves in the middle of a desert, and there was nothing as far as the eye could see except for dunes of sand - some no taller than reaching up to their waist, others so huge that they dwarf skyscrapers and would need to be climbed like a hill... ![]() "Desert Ecstasy" And above them, the blue sky was cloudless, offering no cover or respite from the merciless rays of the burning sun that was right above them. This was their punishment in Skipmo, as decided upon by Lavender Smith - current teacher in charge of Skipmo who decided a fitting penalty for them fighting would be to throw them into a simulation of being lost in the middle of a desert, which she had quite appropriately decided would be none other than the Sahara, and in midday no less. Scorching dry heat that carries with it the constant danger of dehydration and heat injuries, sunburn-inducing rays, sandstorms capable of flaying unprotected flesh, not to mention venomous snakes and scorpions - these are just some of the dangers of the desert, which as Mare had put it rightly, hell. That is, if they know their survivalist skills well enough - and so the test is just how long can they hold out before they beg for forgiveness? |

The Middleman (stubborn, yet relaxed)

(OOC: I need ya, Lawman, to fix my Bio and remove the part about size measurements and the flare gun. Hiro tells me you currently have the ability to allow this.) Naturally, Shad would be on his knees in a submissive pose, crying out for forgiveness and placing most of the blame on Steve in this sort of situation. Unfortunately, there was a slight problem with being in Skipmo right at this moment. Namely, Shad was out cold, dozing in a deep slumber with his large baggy clothing acting as the blankets. Mainly because when he fought Steve, it was night out, and he took way too much damage from the Kamehameha wave to his chest. With his power nullified, his altered body returned to it's puny size in which he kept the fetal position. His big, ole hat which cling to his scalp, acted as a turban for his sweat and shaded his face from the sun's glare. His skin-leather robes stunk to high heaven from the sweat given off, but covered the rest of his body for the time being to protect him from obtaining a sunburn in his sleep. Otherwise, he was screwed since he was used to a frozen tundra climate. Edited by Super Hurricane, Apr 10 2011, 04:47 PM.

Steve felt the heat hit him as his limbs turned back to the get its original size. He made his way up to his feet, and took a look around. Nothing to see for a while except for that guy he had fought. He poked the guy and said "Hey get up! Were gonna need to find some water, this place is like a dessert. Oh and since I beat you, your now my underling. Since I don't have ky powers here, were both most likely fish out of water here." He then said "we need to find some cactuss. Those store plenty of water." He then waked for the to get up and said "This school sure has some extreme punishments." |

As stated before, it would take a lot more to wake Shad up from his slumber considering how badly his wound was. A simple poke by itself caused him to murmur about being lynched by a mob of goblins before going back to nonsensial muttering. Otherwise, he just slept like a lump, unmoving, uncaring about everything around him until his wounds properly healed up. Meaning Steve would have to carry him like a bag of flour until he woke up. Also, Shad knew first hand before starting the battle that a banchou can only have that sort of status if he went to classes at school, therefore he sacrificed himself to make certain Steve would not rule the school with a iron fist. Right now, Steve was just another 'punk' to the teachers who may never graduate to the next year. And because of that, he could not have underlings since his title of banchou was 'revoked' by the fight on school grounds. |

As Shad continued to doze off in spite of Steve's attempts to wake him up and the sweltering desert heat, Steve would soon notice a small creature crawling along Shad's back - eight legs, a pair of crab-like pincers and a barbed tail... there was little doubt that it was a scorpion. However, if Steve were knew his entomology well, he would know from the grayish carapace and yellowish limbs that this is a deathstalker, also known as a Palestinian yellow scorpion, one of the most venomous species of scorpion known to man - while all scorpions are venomous, only a handful of species are known to pack a sting deadly to humans. Unbeknownst to Shad, he had fallen asleep right on top of a scorpion's nest, and the deathstalker appeared clearly agitated as it crawled down Shad's back, pincers raised defensively and tail stinger poised to strike. Steve's choices were clear at this point - should be just leave Shad be and risk letting him get stung by this deadly arachnid? Or would he attempt to save Shad from the scorpion, but allow himself to run the risk of getting stung himself? |

Steve was getting annoyed waiting on Shad to respond, when he saw a scorpion crawl onto his underling. He didn't want his underling to get hurt,so he took one of his shoes. He took it into his hand and aimed the shoe at the scorpion. He then threw the shoe as hard as he could at the scorpion on top of Shad. |

The outcome was predictable - Steve's thrown shoe nailed the scorpion dead on with a resounding splat, reducing the killer arachnid to a putrid paste laced with bits of chitin on Shad's back, leaving behind a rather nasty stain on his clothing. |

Shad stirred slightly from the shoe strike, but not enough to awaken as his head suddenly ducked inside his large robes like a tortoise, his large hat sealing it in. It was a self-defense mechanism that came with the fetal position, subconciously made for if he was mugged. Still, in a way, it looked like he was in a coccoon which began to roll away slowly on a rough slant on the dune hill. Likewise, his arms and legs were also retracting and folding inward as well for the time being. He snorted in his sleep, his left nostril bleeding a bit for some reason. Mainly because in his sleep, he was having a dream that would make the desert simulation seem like a tip to the carnival. One that he had been having ever night after night since Roz set him on fire (which by itself was one of his more traumatic experiences lived through)....
