Haien stepped into his new room and looked around. It would do quite nicely. He reached into the hall and pulled in his newly-bought suitcase into the room. He quickly found his closet, and began hanging up his newly-bought female wardrobe. Including nightgowns. A zipped up thing holding some male clothes went in the back, behind the girl clothes. He really did have to find a way to become female in body, at least temporarily. It would be the perfect way to augment his disguise. He raised one eyebrow when he saw the bed. Unusual to his mind only because the Fayne slept in hammocks.... He shook his head, and, after a few minutes of trouble, managed to set up a hammock hanging from the ceiling. Much better. He dusted his hands off, and turned his attention to his desk. For some odd reason, he was dressed as a maid. Under his desk he slid a box that would one day hold some special items but for now only held the robes of a High Priest of Hecate. Then he set about putting all his school supplies in place. |

A while later, after Haien had unpacked and was just getting situated in his new dorm, it would seem that his roommate would arrive. The door would open once again as a thump could be heard. A large seven foot tall robot would be standing outside the doorway. It was pause for a moment, and then duck into the door. It couldn't stand fully erect in the corridor, but once it was through, it was fine. It was like something out of some kind of action movie. A machine had come and popped up out of nowhere. It entered the room and then closed the down behind it. It would take a few slow steps, heading toward the bedrooms where students were to sleep. It did not speak or even try to explain itself as it moved. It would only be natural for one to suspicious of what was going on. However, considering the many things present at the school, a robot wasn't so hard to believe, right? |

Haien turned as the robot entered, and looked at it curiously. "Peculiar." He said aloud. "A student made of metal. Are you mechanical?" He asked. He was new to technology. The most experience he had with technology so far was riding on the back of Thane's motorcycle and buying clothes. This was an unusual school. Haien took a broom and began sweeping up the dust that had gathered around the room during the time no one had lived in it. There had better not be any more surprises Haien thought to himself. |

The robot would glare down at the student with its robotic sensors. After all, robots did not have eye per say, more like sensors disguised as such. The student would question its existence which the robot would answer in a swift electronic voice. "You are correct in assuming that I am a machine." It would then watch as the student would start to clean. It seemed that the maid outfit the boy was wearing was not just for show. And how could the robot tell that this person was in fact male? That was the beauty of having robotic sensors. Looking with one's eyes only revealed so much, but with sensors, it was far more truthful. "We will be roommates from this point on..." The machine added, informing the student of the situation. It would then move passed him and toward one of the bedrooms. After a moment of checking, the large machine would duck into the doorway and into the unoccupied room. |

Haien raised one eyebrow. Fascinating. So this school even allowed students that could not be considered alive. "I don't suppose you even contain any living or organic parts?" He asked, as he dusted off a few shelves.

Entering the room, a loud thump could be heard right before the boy asked his question. "I am a complete machine. A robot designed for the protection of this school." It would answer, yet again, in the electronic voice that was clearly synthesis. And then, a few moments after that, there was a knock at the door. If it wasn't answered in time, it would simply fling open and a group of men in white suits would be gathered outside. They would suddenly rush into the dorm room and into the room that the robot had went in to. They were quickly moved in and out, carrying heavy machinery and various unidentifiable devices. It would take them a full thirty minutes to complete the set up and then disappear without a chance. They would say nothing to the cross-dressed student and would not even acknowledge him thus increasing the confusion. |

Haien watched the men in white run in and out, setting up machines. He frowned. He'd just swept that floor. "Fully mechanical? How...unpleasant. No offense to you, since having no organic parts means that they will last longer. But I find technology to be...cheating. If someone is going to do something, they should do it through their own abilites." He said off-handedly, resweeping the areas the men in white had gotten dirty again. |

As the men left and the rush were gone from the room, the robot re-emerged from the room. It ducked under the corridor once again and walked back out into the hall where the boy was still sweeping. He made a comment on technology and how it was cheating. However, it was a statement that the machine did not understand at all. Being completely mechanical, it did not know what it was cheating at. "What would technology be cheating at?" The machine questioned. The boy had posed a question that it could not answer and thus, as written in its programming, it needed to add the reason and the knowledge to its database for the sake of research. "Is the ability to create something to perform a task not doing something with one's own abilities as well? Humans are different from machines. All machines are capable of doing the same things given the upgrades and advance they are given by their creators. Humans, on the other hand, are limited to what they are born with. They use the talents they have received or learn to achieve things in their own way. Is doing something in a different way considered cheating to you, student?" |

"True, building a machine to do work for you is useful. But then the person doesn't do it themselves. There's less sense of accomplishment if someone needs to make something new to do something for them. Magick is something people are born with, so it's a natural talent. Building machines is less natural, for they are alienated from nature and divinity." Haien explained. |

The machine would listen to the boy as he spoke. And as he explained, the robot would get a better understanding. Not of the point he was making, but of the fallacies he believed in. But the machine also knew that humans tended to believe in such fallacies and rarely shifted their opinions. Unlike machines that were programmed to have certain ideas and thoughts within them, humans were imprinted with things and tended to believe in those things despite being told other wise. It was a weakness and strength. The robot would stand over the boy, processing the information quickly and instantly coming up with a rebuttal. "Is working with machinery also a talent? Is it not something that some one can be naturally gifted at? Much like those that can and can not use magic, there are those that can and can not create useful machines and technology. The feeling of accomplishment can be received from any task and varies among humans as they all have different values. Some humans covet technology and either wonders more while others do not. Saying that technology is alienated from nature is saying that magic is alienated from the mind. Such a thought is not logical and only shows a fallacy in that way of thinking. Do you not agree student?" The robot spoke. It, of course, had information on magic stored in its database. It had many secrets stored in there as well. Much of the world thought that magic and machines wee incompatible, but Model -000 along with the rest of the Elade Organization knew otherwise. |

"It is true that most humans rely on technology. But my people have existed for thousands of years without technology. In fact, we thrive without it." Haien explained. "Technology may be a human talent, but your logic is applied to humans. My people are not human." Haien tilted his head to one side. "And magick cannot be alienated from the mind, for the mind is the medium through which magick is used. However, technology is artificial. There is no spark of life in it, hence there is no divinity." |

At last, the machine finally understood the confusion in the boy's mind. The technology that he was speaking of as 'cheating' was of the machine and metal of today and only today. He did not seem to grasp the fact that technology existed long before the mechanical portion of it all. It was odd that such an issue was not addressed or brought up earlier. Was it simply a fault in Model - 000's programming? If the machine was capable of sighing, it would have definitely done so. "You seem to misunderstand the nature of machines. Device and machine, such as me, are merely tools created by humans to do the things they are unable to do or to make easier for themselves. Tools of existed to humans since their life began, from carving a simple stick into a pointed one to using rocks instead of fists. Even before humans have known magic, they have known tools. To say that machines, a human’s tool, have lesser place in a human's world is a fallacy. Your people may be different, but that does not accredit them a higher standing." The robot informed the student. "Though if you were raised to believe as such, there is little logic can do to correct such a thing and for that, I apologize." The robot added. It was not here to teach the student. This was why the machine was enrolled as a student instead of as a teacher. It was here to obverse and protect, so it would halt its preaching. |

Haien's lips spread into pleased smile. "This is going to be interesting." Haien was pleased. despite the fact that his roommate was a machine, it could put together a logical argument. Haien enjoyed a good argument. "Machine, what am I to call you? And are you equipped with emotional capabilities as well as logical?" |

Machine would look to the student and shake the sensory device known as its head. It was another one of those functions programmed into its software to be less intimidating and more human like. However, despite that, it was still clearly not human. "I am Model - 000 Alpha Legion Executioner. Call me what you wish." The large robot said before turning around to head back into the room that it has picked. Before entering the room, the machine would then respond to the boy's second question. "Tools have no use for such things. Machines are simply devices used to perform a task. Personalities will only hinder such a thing." It said upon entering to start setting up the equipment it had received. |
