Occupation: Student
Grade Level: Sophomore/2nd Year
Powers/ Abilities: Katy is, bluntly, a terramancer. A little bit of a floramancer too, but only when she wants to mask the stench of crushed people and their oozing, crushed insides with the pretty aroma of flowers. Nothing big like OMGSHEJUSTGREWATREEONMYFACE.

Katy’s powers center almost exclusively around strengthening her own body. She has a few fissures and boulders and dust devils thrown in for good measure, though.

  • Sonte (Rough pronunciation: Sahnt): (Yay for ability names being born of typos!) Katy can make her entire body very hard. She doesn't necessarily weigh more, but moving Katy against her will is, well, out of the question; you'll feel like you're trying to move a boulder. Curiously, if she were to fall on you it'd feel like she was still a 145 pound girl. If you punch or kick or whatever her it will hurt her, but it'll hurt you too. Sort of like punching a brick wall, but without the scraped knuckles. Getting hit by Katy while Sonte is active will feel like getting hit by a brick. Yet she's not as hard as a brick. This ability has so many one way streets.

Katy has five uses of Sonte in any given topic that each last for one post, either to be used consecutively or individually. When this is activated, Katy's skin momentarily flashes like diamond and looks faceted.
  • Coruse: By taking an equivalent amount of other earthen material, Katy can create any size of rock or any amount of dirt/sand. The material doesn’t have to be free or touched by Katy. If Katy to use it, all she has to look at it and command it to fracture off from its previous home and form into the shape she wants. Though she doesn’t have to, Katy generally gestures with her hand(s) for dramatic effect. The limit to the amount of material Katy can gather at once roughly sums up to a boulder roughly five feet in diameter. Just because Katy can create a boulder almost as tall as she is doesn’t mean she can get it moving. Unless, of course, she summons it in the sky and just drops it on what she wants. “Relocating” the earthen material is very noticeable and on the slow side and once Katy begins forming it in one place it can’t be moved, so someone would have to be an idiot or unconscious to let Katy drop a giant rock on them. Also, Katy must be touching the ground (not strictly standing on) to use this. For each cumulative foot of earth moved, Katy cannot use this for one post with a minimum static cool down of one turn. (Meaning, moving 11.999999 inches of stuff to avoid the cool down and to spam this and make a mountain is retarded and won't happen.) Katy can push herself further in dire circumstances if needed, but results in extreme fatigue.
  • Alsmot: Alsmot is the direct control of the ground itself. To activate this, Katy can either stomp on the ground or drop a rock on it. At that point, the ground will either fracture shallowly but widely or small portions of the ground will be dislocated to make for treacherous footing. Alternatively, Katy can cause widespread desertification. And by widespread I mean within a twenty foot radius around Katy. As one would expect, the sand makes finding good footing more difficult. Except for Katy. The power of the earth automatically guides her feet to step at the best possible position and allows her to walk on top of sand. Katy can reverse any of these whenever she pleases. The ground reacts badly toward being formed into something unnatural. After three posts, the power of the Earth overpowers Katy and reverts to its normal state. Regardless of which form of Alsmot Katy employs, there is a static cool down of ten posts.

    Equipment You Have: Gun N/A

    Residency Request: Fudo

    Schedule:
    Homeroom Teacher: Cerium
    Period 1: Phys Ed
    Period 2: Cooking
    LUNCH
    Period 3: Supernatural Studies

Personality Description: Katy is just like any other teenage girl. She’s moody (actually more so than your average teenage girl), she’s meticulous about her appearance, she swoons over hot guys and dreams about Mr. Right, etc., etc. But she forces all of it down to maintain a mature, controlled appearance on the outside. She’s managed to do this successfully for the past five years and doing so has begun to leave lines on her forehead and her brow from stress for maintaining it and she has more frown lines than smile lines.

Katy has a very matter-of-fact manner. Some would call her blunt, others truthful and others a bitch. The fact of the matter is Katy is (very) mildly autistic and doesn’t know the minutiae of social interaction. It doesn’t affect her much and mostly just manifests in an inability to lie. She’s also stubborn, unwilling to accept anyone else’s ideas even when they offer ample proof that their idea is better than Katy’s. It’s a pride thing because Katy is never ever wrong. And don’t you forget it.

Katy is what most would call a buzz kill. She doesn’t much care for fun, or even stimulation because it usually results in her emotions piercing through her carefully crafted exterior. Rather, it’s more like shattering through since Katy is, by nature, melodramatic.

(Um. There’s actually MORE to this, but I don’t feel like putting it all because A) I’m impatient and B) long personalities feel too restricting. I’ll edit in more as I RP Katy and flesh her out more.)

Personal History: Katy doesn’t know her real parents since she was orphaned around three. She was never adopted, either.

Thus, she grew up shuttled from orphanage to orphanage. When Katy turned 16, he had said enough. She would take anywhere that didn’t involve 8 hour bus rides full of loud six year olds. She found some snooty boarding school in England and enrolled there, somehow free of charge. She passed all of her classes at the top of her class with straight As, but the stuffy, scholarly atmosphere put her off her mood.

When she announced she was leaving, she was approached by Mr. Thoreau, her English teacher. Mr. Thoreau had recognized Katy as the metahuman Katy was long ago (Katy had the cliché habit of going out into the woods surrounding the isolated boarding school and messing around with her powers. Mr. Thoreau saw her one day.) and revealed that he was a metahuman as well and had actually graduated a few years back from a school for metahumans called Shin Hyakuji High School. The English teacher helped Katy make arrangements to fly to Hyakuji and attend there.

Katy has always had her powers, but they had largely been weak and insignificant. The strongest manifestation of her powers as a child was being able to take a hit stronger than most children should be able to; nothing that out of the ordinary. It wasn’t until Katy enrolled in the boarding school that her powers matured at a very rapid rate. The rate at which they grew over two years is attributed to Mr. Thoreau’s interference—Mr. Thoreau’s power was to amplify the powers of other metahumans. After repeated exposure to Mr. Thoreau, one’s powers would be permanently strengthened. Had Katy never crossed paths with Mr. Thoreau, her powers would surely still be weak and insignificant.

Mashed Potatoes? The proof is in the goddamn pudding, bitches.
