Jameson sighed heavily as he wandered down the hallways of the WDA. He ran his fingers through his hair as he flipped off the last of the lights in his room. In the center was a single travel bag. He smiled broadly planting his hands in his sides.. ~~~~~~~~ Jameson wandered down to the main lobby, hands planted behind his head. A white fedora with a gray band, a brown trench coat that hung to his ankles and black boots strapped to his knees. All this over gray slacks and a matching gray suit vest over a white button down and black tie. His outfit for 'work'. "Why'd you call in everyone.." Oliver said idly, leaning back in his chair as he read through several financial reports on their earnings and spendings.. "The case isn't really all that special." "I know.. I just.. felt like seeing them." Jameson said with a small smile. "It's been a while since we worked a case together. As a group." "It has." Oliver said with a smirk. "I'm eager to see them too.." ".. so you can finally admit it a bit?" Jameson said with a grin as he planted his hands on his sides. "You've grown a lot, Olly." "O-LI-VER." Oliver corrected with an embarrassed huff. "Besides, I'm eager to see them f-for various reasons! Various reasons!" Jameson cracked up laughing at the boy. He walked across to the chalk board as he began to write down pertinent case details. However as he did he couldn't help but feel a clench in his stomach. It felt.. bittersweet. As much as he tried to not focus on it he couldn't help but feel that bittersweet feeling. Spoiler: click to toggle "Hello everyone~!" She greeted cheerfully, almost walking into a chair. It was only a matter of time before Jameson's style of dressing would be mistaken by Fuu to be some kind of fashion trend. Jen helped her put this one together after their case at the amusement park, a long time ago it seemed. Sure the eyepatch and the Fedora on her head might have been a little over the top, but at least she was wearing pants. A squinty eyed Fuu stepped into the nearly empty room with the oldschool chalkboard. There was an air of confidence as she stood there in 'her' work clothes, while holding her last paycheck in her hand. Clearly she had a matter to discuss with the boss concerning the envelope, but after eying the stuff that was going on the board Fuu seemed to forget all about it. She flapped her novelty eyepatch right up, and leaned left to get a better look at the words behind Jameson's back. She was getting better at reading now, but still needed a bit of help. "eh!? What's this...?!" her voice was spilling over with excitement, flipping the patch back down. "Could it be? Are we going on another case all together?! ..... Yii-aay~" She didn't even wait for either of them to respond, sliding into a seat and clenching her hands near her mouth with a giddy smile. "I have been thinking about this day all spring!" She frantically eyed the table, "words..words... I forgot all the things I was going to say to everyone, yaa!" She turned and faced Oliver and clasped her hands, begging, "Robyn-nii... Your chocolates tasted like sparkles! Please give me a chance to repay you!" |

"You really don't think that this one might just be because he's eager to do one with all of us?" I would really love to think of it like that, but afraid I can't. "Really, why?" Sticking to the old rule of precautions. "Which is?" Keep your eyes on the road. V bumped his fist lightly on Seth's cheek just for the sake of it. His hair was as messy and as black as always. He was, as usual, wearing his everyday generic black sweater and khaki-colored cargo pants. Nothing too fancy there. Booooring. But hey, simplicity is the king of awesome. Except maybe for a small Walther PP in one of his pants pocket. True, the old ones Chetri gave out before was washed up by the seas, but there's a whole stash of them in that factory. So why not? Not that he actually intends use it. Just... in case things happens. He couldn't help but agree a bit with V on this matter, though. Usually Jameson would never call the whole team for a single case. He'd usually do it himself, or call some specific ones, or enlist the help of some random passerby. Ominous much? Not really. Who knows? The handle to the door was turned and Seth entered silently through the door, nervously glancing around for any sign of her. Edited by Fin, Mar 19 2011, 08:15 PM.

An elegant and swift 'click' snapped the kickstand of her motorcycle down as Aki slid off her helmet. Her hair was already about as messy as it could get so there was thankfully no danger of helmet hair. She shook her head anyway to get at least a uniform chaos and stepped her booted feet to the cement. Normally Aki might have considered not even answering Jameson's call since she'd been pretty flaky the last few times and pissing him off didn't sound like fun when fun was just so darn easy to find on her own. But avoiding him forever wasn't really an option since she needed a paycheck and he was a pretty awesome boss (plus she owed him big time for that bike). Plus the last time they'd had that big case she hadn't gotten a chance to use that old fashioned Thompson (which was now set in a makeshift holster on the side of her bike). Her brown, fur-cuffed riding jacket sat neatly on her shoulders over a simple black t-shirt. A sad concession when one considered the pain of riding in an expensive suit through a swarm of bugs at seventy miles an hour, but still stylish in it's own way above a pair of tight-butted, old fashioned blue jeans. Setting her helmet on the bike seat Aki strolled down the walkway with her arms behind her head, coming around the corner just in time to spot Seth a few steps from the door. Her eyes narrowed as her lips curled into a mirthful smirk as she suddenly began trotting after him just as he turned the doorknob. "Got ya, ya little punk!" She shouted as she grabbed him suddenly in a headlock as he walked through the door. Aki dragged him a few feet in the door, giving him a wicked noogie in front of everyone with her smile now wide, gritted and toothy. "Whatcha lookin' around for me? Thought you'd catch me by surprise, huh?" She mused teasingly. |

Things were finally starting to settle down at the Agency after the big case that everyone had handled came to a close. The new building was beginning to feel more like a home with each passing day, and the increasing warmth of spring was certainly something to embrace. There was a mellow mood amongst its members as something inevitable seemed to draw near. Robyn had received the notification about a case involving the entire crew, and although the last one seemed pretty intense (from what she understood), she had a feeling this one would be...different. She wasn't around for the last giant hurrah, but she planned on sticking around from now on. For that day she decided to don her typical outfit with the knee-high heeled boots, jeans, and a t-shirt (a purple v-neck) worn under her jacket. There was no telling what was going to go down at the case, and this one seemed to work out well enough (since showing up in her "old typical work attire" would probably be considered inappropriate). Speaking of sticking around, as she walked to the building with her hands shoved into the pockets of her lightweight jacket, she couldn't shake what went down earlier. She may have gotten the Japanese side of the fight out of the way, but something a lot bigger and nastier was heading her way...and it was going to be one hell of a task to keep it a one-woman fight. It wasn't easy, but she was going to put forth some real effort to place trust in these people and if they were going to reciprocate, it would be kind of her to keep people from breaking into their homes and kidnapping them or committing some other crime against the WDA. Until she knew more, however, she would have to keep things under wraps. Still, today was not a day for dwelling on that sort of thing, although it practically consumed her mind. She was going to make an honest living as part of a detective agency today and work together with all of her colleagues to bring justice to the world. ...That wholesome idea still made her slightly sick to her stomach, but her reactions were improving. She entered the building not long after Seth and Aki did, spotting them almost immediately after she crossed the threshold. It had been a while since she'd seen the latter, but not long at all since seeing the former. They had a way of running into each other for some reason. She only got to work with Aki once, but it wasn't bad (which said a lot given her preference to work solo) and she felt they'd probably get along well enough if the effort was put forth. "Hold up, kids, hormone-controlling adult coming through," Robyn called out as she edged her way around the two while they went about their wrestling moves. Making her way out of the foyer, Robyn ran into Oliver, Jameson and Fuu in the lobby. She couldn't help but wonder why Fuu was dressed nearly identical to Jameson, but maybe that was just one of her quirks...and she seemed to have many. Hopefully the girl had forgotten about that whole Valentine's day ordeal and didn't overreact about it. She wasn't sure if she was ready to take on that kind of a personality antithesis at this stage in her social transformation. On the flip-side, maybe that girly shock was what she needed, although she'd never admit to or acknowledge it. "So, what's the deal, boss?" Robyn queried over to Jameson with her arms folded in front of her chest, eyeing what he was writing on the board. She often used the term "boss" with at least a slight hint of sarcasm, and here wasn't too different...although she could honestly say she held some self-respect for him. And it wasn't just because he ran a business that was able to give her a paycheck. Oliver, on the other hand... Well, that'd be the day when HE told HER what to do. What a laugh. |

"Jennifer Chase reporting for duty, sir!" A certain purple-haired girl declared after Robyn entered the WDA office. Jen stood just beneath the doorway, dressed in a woodland camouflage field jacket, khaki cargo pants and dark brown trekking boots, a drab olive field pack slung over her right shoulder. "Nice outfit, Fuu-chan!" Jen winked at Fuu as she noticed the Jameson lookalike that Fuu was cosplaying, complete with a prop eye patch, patting the village girl reassuringly on the shoulder as she walked past, before turning to face Robyn and the others. "Nice to see all of you again... so, what'll it be this time around?" Jen nodded as she smiled. So they were going on another case? Although Jen could only wonder what sort of case would require Jameson to mobilize virtually the entire agency, short of Crow the entire WDA gang was gathered in their entirety at the office. |

Oliver rose from his chair ifnnishing the paperwork in front of him and sliding it over to a stack. He sighed a bit and planted his hands in his sides glaring at the desk for a moment before slowly moving his gaze over to the others, lips pursed and pulled into a frown. He pushed his knuckles into his sides walking towards the chalk board, taking up one of the pieces and writing away. Jameson smiled broadly as they each arrived, greeting them cheerfully. "Fuu! You look cool!" He said flashing a thumbs up. He glanced amongst the others. "You should learn from her fashion sense! Eye-patches are in!" He said cheerfully as he wandered to his wall grabbing a fedora from it. Oliver placed the chalk down, taking a fedora from the wall as well. He reached to place it onto his head but it suddenly vanished from his grip. "Tch! Not so fast!" Jameson said taking it and putting it back on it's hook. "You're not up to fedora level yet, smarty pants." He said leaning against the wall and sliding his new fedora onto his head, placing the old one on Oliver's desk. Jameson smiled a distant smile. Oliver grunted in annoyance. "Not ready! As if! A fedora is just a hat! It's not some sacred badge of honor." He said in annoyance. He folded his arms across his chest with a huff before turning to the others. "Anyhow, the case tonight is a big one. I dunno if it's 'all-hands-on-deck' big but an ounce of prevention, etc.." "Right." Jameson said cocking his hat to the side before approach the chalk board and slamming his hand onto it loudly. "Reiji Nishiwara. Local con man known for his white collar crimes. Keeps out of big trouble by ratting on bigger fish. He's the sort of parasite that escapes capture because he's well informed.. Three days ago he went missing.." He took out a case file, hanging up two pictures on the board next to their names written out. "Yamamoto Kurasawa. A big time crook currently under investigation. Reiji was meant to fink on him to the cops. As such he's an obvious suspect.." "Hiroto Seiji. Former business partner of Reiji. When Reiji got himself in too deep once he linked Seiji to a big heist from a long time ago with tangible evidence and got him put away. He just came up for parole.." "And of course the third possibility is that he was abducted by another criminal for information he has on local criminal dealings.. We're without the support of the PD on this one, they don't want us interfering with the Kurasawa bust.. We were hired by Reiji's wife." "Heh. Even worms can find love wallowing in the dirt.." Oliver say with a sneer. "That's amazing.. Or should I say 'that poor woman.' ?" Jameson flicked a piece of chalk at his head. "Iiiidiot. Even crooks can have good sides. I'm not saying it's justified to do wrong but.. anyone can go astray and loose sight of their goal. They can walk down a path with noble intentions and then still wind up in a bad place.." Jameson said planting his hands on his sides. "Besides! A client's a client! At the WDA what is a client?" "... Haah.." Oliver sighed. "I guess I deserve it for dissing a client.. being talked down to like a rookie." Oliver said annoyed. "Answer me." "At the WDA a client is family." "right!" Jameson said with a smile. He turned to the crew. "Let's find our missing client for his wife. At this point we can't rule out that he's already dead.. But we need to act cautiously or we might force them to kill him just to be rid of him." "Right." Oliver said interjecting. "Which is why we're taking a special route for this one. Robyn and Aki are with me." "The rest are with me." Jameson said. "We're going to pull... A sting." Oliver said suddenly getting into it a bit. His smile turned serious and his eyes took on the glint of a pro getting into a job. Edited by Cypriss, Mar 25 2011, 01:07 AM.

"I had to pull a sting once." Fuu spoke in a casual sounding way while eying a mug stain on the desk. "Here, and here." Without looking up she pointed to her left arm-pit, and then to someplace under the table. "I ended up doing it wrong and some of it got stuck under my skin, aaand my skin grew over it and it got infected aaand it had to get operated on to get it out. The stinger was huge. The doctor said I was a very brave girl. Yaa." Taking off her hat and covering up the ring shaped stain she said, "Hongo-sensei is fun, but the nurse said that if he does any more 'radioactive bees 101' classes, I would have to be transferred to science or cooking. Being in danger all the time is no good for my health, ya know?" Appearing a little dejected, she swung her elbow over the backrest of her seat and eyed the rest of the group that she'd been assigned to for today, and smiled. "Anyways, I look forward to catching crooks with you today, yaa." She significantly perked up spotting Seth, before sliding out of her chair and striding over to Jen's side, she lifted up her novelty eye-patch and said, "This is great. With you's by my side, nothing can go wrong~ eheh!" |

"OW, owowowowowow... Aki... Aki, that hurts...!" Seth yelped in pain as he was dragged along all the way to the interior of the office, in a tight headlock that he doesn't seem to be able to wrench off from. Somehow, being manhandled like this in front of everyone was a slight bit embarrassing. Yet another show of how everyone keeps on treating him like a kid. Well, he can't complain. Perhaps he should act a little bit more manly before he could be recognized as someone at least older than a 'kid'. While still in the headlock, he listened intently to the mission briefing by Jameson. It kinda surprised him a little that their client this time turned out to be a criminal. Well, more specifically the wife of the criminal. Apparently the man himself went missing three days ago, and he was suspected to have been kidnapped. Right now Jameson had his eyes on two specific suspects, and if neither turned out to be the culprit, they're back to square one. Two. Square two. But yeah, going so far ahead as to waltz right into their territory to catch them and interrogate them WDA style probably isn't a good idea, seeing as both of them are big shots in the underworld. So, the plan, as Jameson came up with, was to go undercover. Seth really wouldn't have known what 'pull a sting' means had V not explained to him. Although, there's really no helping the apprehensive feeling in his chest. This basically meant that they're going to have to act like a bad guy. Really, it shouldn't be too much of a trouble. But there was worries, nonetheless. What if they somehow manages to screw up right at the middle of their fray? Baaaad thoughts. But surely Jameson must have a plan, so he could at the very least, for now focus on something that's been bothering him since entering the office in a headlock. "Uhm... Aki... You... you might want to let me go now, since..." He turned away from her, his face slightly red. "It's... kinda... touching..." |

Fortunately Robyn managed to bypass getting mauled by the blonde over the whole chocolate thing, so she dropped the tense feeling in her shoulders and focused on what Jameson and Oliver (but mostly Jameson) had to say about the case they were taking on. White collar whistle-blower, huh? This was the first case of this sort for her to undertake with the WDA, not to mention the first time she was going out with such a large crew. She crossed her arms in front of her chest and shifted her weight over to one side, losing herself in thought as she began running through the possibilities with their target. If there was anything she learned from her prior work it was that the most obvious choice was just as likely to be correct as something completely different, so no path to solving this could be denied for being "too outrageous." Even the wife could be considered a suspect under the guise of "the criminal always returns to the scene of the crime." Then again, why someone would willingly hire a detective agency if they were the criminal was a bit beyond her...surely she wouldn't think she could get away with it. Then there was the former-colleague-turned-enemy coming up for parole in a class case of revenge. Surely he wasn't going to let Reiji get away with what he did, and it was likely that people like Seiji still had close connections with people in the outside world. Robyn was unsure whether Seiji was legitimately guilty for the crime he was in jail for or if he was framed, but if the two were partners, it was fairly likely. Also likely was a team of goons waiting for Seiji to step onto free grounds so they could roll up their sleeves and get to business dealing with their snitch. And then there was...everyone else who could have possibly had a grudge on Reiji, or anyone who thought they might be targeted next. That could've been every CEO or President of every company in Hyakuji for all they knew. Hopefully this wouldn't take as long as it sounded. Then again, she did enjoy actually working for a living. For once she agreed with Oliver on his immediate dislike for Reiji, but she kept those thoughts to herself when she saw Jameson retaliate against his comment. "Iiiidiot. Even crooks can have good sides. I'm not saying it's justified to do wrong but.. anyone can go astray and lose sight of their goal. They can walk down a path with noble intentions and then still wind up in a bad place.." Robyn could see where he was coming from, but it was hazy, and she didn't entirely agree. True, it was human nature for someone to stray to something more desirable and anything but noble, but consumption by greed (assuming that was the reason behind his criminal acts) was no better than most other crimes. Plus, so many company leaders are so far removed from the realities of society that they think it's fine for them to bend the rules. It was one thing that he was diming out crooks bigger than him since that ultimately helped the community, but the shroud of dishonesty he was hiding under to make himself look like a good guy was a far cry from being an actual white knight. "Robyn and Aki are with me." Wait, what? Robyn snapped out of her train of thought and looked up at Oliver. Did she hear right, splitting up the group? Aki she was fine with, but Oliver and his antics...well, it'd be interesting to say the least. Maybe once he snapped into game mode he was less...himself. "We're going to pull... A sting." She liked the sound of this, despite her initial protest to the group divvy-up. A sting was right up her alley of expertise, undercover and infiltration sorts of things. She really had to fight the grin that wanted to creep itself onto her face to maintain her composure. Fuu seemed to be completely oblivious to what a sting actually was, and it made Robyn question what the girl's role actually was in this whole thing. That being said, she was curious as to what the plan was. "Are we going to find out now what each group is doing--more specifically what each person is doing--or is that a discussion for when we get to...wherever?" |

Jameson took in a deep breath, glancing to oliver. "Man, way to steal the best lines!" He frowned before eying the assembled group. "The crook deals in selling weapons. Oliver will be a buyer, Aki and Robyn will be his bodyguards. The dude is a notorious perv and so they'll be acting as bait, to lower his guard a bit. Once he reveals the fire arms I'll make my move. He knows me.. from uh.." "Past experience." "Right. Past experience." Jameson said laughing sheepishly. "Well anyhow. Once I have him exposed he won't have any choice but to reveal what he was up to. But in order for use to make sure he wants to do a deal as soon as possible a second team is needed." Jameson said eying Oliver. "Right. Jameson's team will attack a warehouse full of weapons and steal a few. This will make the guns extra hot. Cops will be on the hunt for the crooks using THESE specific guns in crimes and that raises the risk for any other buyers. He'll need to dump his whole supply quick which will apply the pressure we need to force him to expose himself. A buyer appears exactly as he needs to get rid of his inventory.. He can't refuse. " |

"A few?" Fuu repeated, glancing over her shoulder from their boss and back to her teammates. "If I'm with you's, we could get away with an entire shipment, eheh!" She took one look at Jen face and got a brainwave, "Oooohh yeahh... ... But then our baddie would have none left to sell to Oliver-kun, huh...? Hmmm. " Fuu shifted her weight onto one hip and put a finger to her mouth. "Ah~!" She pointed up at nothing in particular. "It'll be okay, yaa. When we get some hot and heavy guns, Fuu-chan can carry them all out for you, eheh! Okay? Seth-kun..?" She turned and looked in his general direction with a bright cheerful eye. And instead she would be greeted with a grim-faced Seth, looking away at the ceiling with a dark evil dejected forced smile on his face. Dark aura was emanating from him and he was giving off a fairly powerful killer intent. I have no idea how all of that can be clumped together, so don't ask. But still, what made him tick like that? "...ahaha... so he's a perv... hehheh... and she's a bait... for that... haahah.... perv... heeheheh... no... don't worry too much... it's for the mission... heh... perv... bait... ahahah..." Woah. Jealous much? Deciding to take over from here as Seth doesn't seem to be able to respond to anything for now, V took over his body, meeting little to no resistance as he did so. Shaking his head to get that grumpy caveman look from his face, he said, "Well, can't be that hard now can it? If anything we have a full warehouse of guns we can use if things gets sticky. ...But then that would destroy the whole meaning of going undercover..." "Ahahaha~ Don't worry, don't worry~" All of a sudden V could feel the control over his body wrenched completely from him. He wanted to yell out in chagrin but stopped after noticing the unnatural activity of his brain. A cheery voice came from Seth's mouth. A dangerously sweet and cheery voice with a dash of malevolence and murderous intent. "We'll get through this fine~ That man will be caught, and he'll be thrown into jail where he'll spend the rest of his rotten little life rotting away with the pests and rats of the underworld~" Wuh... V was stunned. This cannot be Seth! Is there really a demon residing somewhere inside him all this time?! |

"Unless he's smart enough to simply leave town before any of that happens." It was Chetri's voice, as she walked in late. "Pardon my tardiness, I was feeling ill." she explained, taking a seat. She'd never let her physical condition get in the way before, and such a thing was starting to become a bother. Although at least the various fainting spells had subsided, and she was, if not exactly nominal, then close enough that a minor headache wasn't an issue. |

Aki stared at him for a second, looking confused and a little bit annoyed as she attempted to gather what the heck he was complaining about. What was touching? If he was going to tell her that her armpits smelled or something she'd pound him into the dirt so hard they'd be picking bits of metavirus kid out from between the floor tiles. And that was being generous. Her lips pursed slightly as she suddenly felt his cheek brush up against...that. Aki froze for a moment as she suddenly grasped what he was talking about. Without a word she simply let him go, folding her arms indignantly as a warm blush filled her angered expression. She would be well within her rights to brain him, but just what the hell was he complaining about anyhow?! It's not like there was a lot there to touch in the first place, so...ARGH, what a stupid thing to make her think about! Her focus shifted suddenly as the bosses went over the situation in tandem. A dead informant, a small number of people who might want him dead but then a guy like that who no doubt rubbed shoulders with a lot of criminals would make a lot of enemies if he turned pigeon mouthed on heavy hitting arms dealers like Yamamoto. Aki had caught wind of this guy since entering the city, not exactly a crime lord or anything but the laundry list of things he claimed to be responsible for would put him on anyone's radar for a job like this. She didn't recognize the other one, but the partner of a fink was hardly a big fish she'd have heard of off-hand. Yamamoto would no doubt be her prime suspect regardless of what her own information turned up, but this wasn't her operation. No doubt that guy already had a slick little plan going in that fedora-wearing head of his. A plan that involved... "Tch..." seriously? Just what the hell kind of plan was that?! Aki sighed dismissively, seemingly oblivious to Seth's reaction to the entire matter. Part of her wanted to blurt out that if they needed a pair of breasts to keep the guy distracted, the bubble head over there had it all in spades but reconsidered fairly quickly. That girl wasn't quite as good at taking a bullet or understanding the whims and fancies of a weapon raqueteering multiple murderer with a 'nosebleed'. Something Aki would shamelessly admit to possessing in equal spades. "W-Well it ain't a great plan if you ask me...This whole thing about being all lady-like for scum like that just makes me sick but..." She chewed on her tongue for a moment, turning to look at Seth for a moment. Her expression softened and she nearly smiled seeing his cheerful face. Looking back at Jameson she returned to her usual serious face and nodded with determination. "I'll just have to do it." Her eyes narrowed in disappointment as she eyed Oliver and sighed. "But if you try anything funny with me or Rob over there I'll floor ya, got it? Same goes if that guy tries to touch me or sumthin'." Great, they'd probably want her to dig into the back of her closet for something skimpy. What a freakin' job, being a good guy was rough. |
