The one who started all this (unless you considered ultimately Seth) ended up being the first one to toss away his weapon. Robyn's arm fell in an anti-climatic manner, lightly splashing into the water she was standing in. Her eyes rolled in annoyance at the fact that 1) this was taking forever, and 2) she was even considering participating in a water gun fight in the first place.

"Is this happening or not?"
she called out to the others.

Oliver seemed to have another idea up his sleeve. One that didn't involve weapons, just bare hands and a malicious grin.

"The one whom shall be victorious will get the servitude of the other two..."

Servitude, huh? Her acting as someone else's servant was the last thing she ever saw herself doing. Of course, mercenary work was somewhat of a servant position except she was electing to take the work. She liked to think of it as freelance errand-running with a side of assassination. Her pride and self-respect welling up inside of her, she was not going to lose this one so easily.

"And the task is...the duck must die."

Robyn's face fell into one of those "you've got to be kidding me" looks.

"Wait. You want us to attack Floaty McGee over there?"

Jameson looked completely oblivious to the world, but from what she knew about him, there was more to that than met the eye. It was unlikely he didn't hear Oliver, and after seeing what he was capable of against the ferromancer in the streets of Hyakuji earlier that year, she knew he was a quietly-awaiting powerhouse of destruction.

Did she really want to prod that ticking time bomb with a stick?

More relevant question: did she want to bite the hand that wrote her paycheck?

Torn between defending her ego and not angering her boss, she wasn't sure what to do. It could also be a trap to try and get one of the two to do something Oliver knew was a bad idea. She couldn't risk losing something that would put Oliver in control of her. The smirk she foresaw on his face asking--nay, TELLING--her to fill up his coffee cup for the 8th time just made her blood boil.

Nonetheless she ducked down neck-deep in the water and began nonchalantly swimming over to the edge of the pool. It seemed like she was backing out of the competition. Maybe she really didn't want to get herself mixed up in these childish games.

Except she was also swimming in the general direction of Jameson.

"Heh.. They've beautifully taken the bait laid out before them.." Oliver said with a broad smile. Oliver moved quickly along the side of the pool. He reached out to one of the light fixtures and carefully unscrewed it before smashing it as quietly as possible. He took the largest chunk and weighed it in his hand. He turned and eyed the pool with a thin smile. As he'd shown earlier his throwing skills were superb..

He walked over towards Jameson before loading up one of his apps. He Formed an ESP blade around one arm and dove into the water, shrinking it down until it was a tiny needle-like blade..

He carefully made his way towards Jameson. He and Robyn were like two predators of the deep carefully stalking their pray as they moved in towards the unsuspecting Jameson. He made his way quietly before he suddenly without warning tossed the shard of glass just in front of Jameson to catch his attention.. In that moment he lunged forward with his arm blade!

While the two was busy knocking each other out trying to rip apart Jameson's floaty to shreds, V was sitting at the sides of the pool, his legs immersed in the heated water, watching the spectacular display of the underwater floaty-manhunt. While just sitting here might probably be the safest decision to make in this situation, it's still quite boring. It hasn't even been five seconds that he decided to do something else.

He turned over to Jameson, raised the water gun high above his head, and chucked it at the back of Jameson's head. So random, indeed. "Oi~ Your floaty is in danger~" He called out to him with a small grin on his face.

Robyn caught sight of Oliver diving into the watery abyss and it looked like there was no way around keeping her "exit out of the pool" a secret anymore. Now given, she could just as easily ignore the fact that he won (if he did) because in all reality, what could he do to force her to do any of those tasks? All mind control and whatnot stuff aside.

But alas, pride was a real force to be reckoned with.

The piece of glass thrown by Oliver narrowly missed lodging itself into Robyn's chest, and she had to matrix-dive out of the way (which was a lot slower and harder to do when trying to move through water) and it merely put a small slice into the side of her arm. Robyn could sense her rage boiling up at the fact that he was taking this to levels beyond a schoolyard rumble.

"Hey! The DUCK is the target, not ME!"

Just as Oliver was lashing forward with the blade, Robyn made a bold move and kicked Jameson and his float out of the way, making direct contact between her heel and the inflatable duck. Her next focus was on momentarily incapacitating Oliver so she could take this pool toy business in her own hands! She nimbly swam around to his back and attempted to use a combination move of sweeping a leg under to lock with his ankles, wrap one arm in front of his neck, and used her other hand to push his head underwater long enough to disorient him. A good surprise dunk would be enough to freak out anyone who needed air to breathe!

"My duck?" Jameson said in surprise as he turned around. He eyed Oliver in shock before throwing up his barrier to block the thrown object. However..

"WHA?" Oliver was dunked underwater,. He didn't see THAT one coming. She'd come after him?! He glub glubbed under water waving his arms around wildly. He finally got his bearings. He reached for his pocket and removed his phone (which was, luckily, water proof from the submarine mission) and activated his second disk..

C.EM.BEAM!

He fired a beam of laser energy down into the water heating it to intense temperatures. He was going to do a good old fashioned crab boil!

Jameson meanwhile turned to Seth. "You saved my duck. I love you!" He said with tears in his eyes. "Ten cent pay raise!" He turned to the other two with a wicked glare. "You two want killed don't you..?" He said with a dark scowl. "I'm gonna kill you~"

Somehow the contest of duck-popping had became an underwater death match. V stood there out of the pool, staring at the ridiculous turn of event, half-glad he had chosen to bail out in the first place. He gave a small sigh, shaking his head, wondering whether he should just let them kill each other or step in.

Urh... what happened?

Oh? Well, look at that, Seth just woke up. Perfect timing, he thought as he released the control of the body to Seth, who immediately fell to his knees, without even realizing he was standing up all this time. "Eh... wait, V, what happened?"

Nothing much, really. You just drowned, and Oliver saved you, but he got angry because he interpreted CPR as a kiss and hence he thought he had kissed a dude. Robyn was here all the time but he blamed her for not trying to stop him. Things somehow got hostile and Oliver pretty much challenged all of us to pop Jameson's duck floaty. The losers have to be the winner's servant for the rest of the day. So yea. THAT'S the result of it.
He said, turning his head to the currently ongoing underwater brawl.

...

......

.........

"WHAT?!"

Okay, now that was just RIDICULOUS. All these just because of some manly pride?! Curling his hands into a fist with his eyes narrowed he dived spectacularly into the pool, swimming rapidly towards the trio currently preoccupied with killing each other. Without wasting any moment he reached out, grasped Oliver's flailing arm, Robyn's wrist that was holding Oliver's head underwater and Jameson's floaty (wait, what?). In one powerful motion he FLUNG all three of them out of the pool like one of those ancient trebuchet. "What the HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!?!?!"

"What?! Seth gets a pay raise?? But he just threw his gun at your--"

Robyn was fine talking with Oliver almost nonchalantly held underwater by her own strength, but this was immediately cut off once she felt the water grow warm, then warmer, then HOT. She released Oliver and pushed away from him, scrambling to try and get out of the water before she boiled to death. Why wasn't this an issue for him? Maybe he was the cause of it all and had some sort of a defense against it...either way.

She didn't get very far before Seth roared onto the scene, and she felt a hand clamp onto her wrist before she was suddenly flung from the pool. Robyn let out a small yelp of surprise, not anticipating that kind of strength to come from "no where" (let alone Seth's hardly-developed muscular structure). In a wave of water splashing out of the pool, she did her best to keep herself from landing and scoring some serious cement burns. How did she do this?

CRASH!!

It may not have been by choice, but she luckily landing amongst the white chaises lined up around the pool for those who wanted to lay out in the sun. It wasn't painless, but crashing amongst hard plastic was better than skidding across the ground with her bare skin. And it was better than boiling to death.

The girl groaned, hanging over one of the chairs and pushing her hair out of her face. Next was a hasty swimsuit check to make sure everything was still in place (her swimsuits weren't as battle-reliable as her actual fighting garb) and fortunately for her--possibly unfortunately for them--she'd managed to avoid any wardrobe malfunctions. She whipped her head back toward the pool and glared at Seth for the throw. The girl also didn't forget what Oliver attempted to do (even if she did instigate). However, what her eyes settled upon was the float.

Thrown out of the pool.

And still around Jameson's torso.

Her eyes shifted over to Oliver and then back to her boss. Maybe this whole thing would end at a truce and they'd go about their business. But she couldn't be entirely sure. She paused, watching everyone's movement, her senses on edge. Jeez, SOMEONE was taking a little bet a bit too seriously.

"So...what. Is that it?"

Oliver landed on the side of the pool with his eyes spinning in his head,. His entire body was covered in bright red. He;d basically cooked himself like sitting in a hot spring too long or something along those lines. He was completely stunned.

Meanwhile...

Jameson landed on his butt.., He barely managed to keep his float from popping along the cement. Tears sprung up in his eyes from his ass grinding across cement. His entire body was suddenly covered in murderous rage. ""Never mind about that raise! you loose TEN CENTS IN PAY!" He said with seething rage.

"So.. You punks think it's time to kick around the old boss..?!" He put on his water proof fedora and scowled. "Well I won't let you off so easy.. You want it? Okay.." He put the duck in front of him. "Fifty cent raise... If you can get to it." He clenched his fists with a broad, wild smile. "S'bring it on, punks."

Oliver popped to his feet before wobbling. "A RAISE?!" He said trying to get his bearings. "This is getting better and better!" He glanced to the others pursing his lips. The intent was clear.

Team Up!

"WHO CARES ABOUT SOME MEASLY RAISE??!?!?!" He said, as he raised himself out of the pool, and still drenching wet he folded his arm, fuming, looking like an angry mom who'd caught her kids doing bad things more than anything else. "And ENOUGH, with the duck! Just HOW the heck did this happen?! Robyn! I thought you'd be a whole lot more sensible about this! Jameson, you're an adult! Stop acting like a kid! Oliver! Nagnagnagnagnagnagnagnagnag----"

It went on for hours, and there was pretty much none that could stop him when he's like that. It was a long time since the sun has set. And just how long had he been standing there nagging his ass off... five hours? He certainly didn't look tired at all. I wonder if he's actually enjoying this... Looks like he'd had enough, as he took a deep breath after five hours of non-stop steam-venting actions to three people who went overboard over something trivial like a CPR. A sigh followed after that, before he turned to Oliver in slight annoyance, scratching his cheek and said, "But still... thanks for saving me,"

Oh dear, he looked so girly with that girly face. Let's just hope people did not misunderstand anything.

A pay raise would've been nice, but it was not worth sticking around for an umpteen-hour nag session by the youngest and most bipolar of the four individuals. That being said, Robyn figured she had better things to do, and a slow creeping of pain was working its way up through her back where she landed on the plastic chairs earlier.

In the amount of time it took Seth to fully get out all of his ranting, Robyn managed to give him an unenthusiastic look, pick up her bag and vacate the pool, walk home, shower, change into street clothes, make and eat dinner, leave the apartment, pick up a cup of coffee from a nearby cafe, and wander back to the pool. It was pitch black outside now aside from whatever street lights were turned on, and the pool attendant was standing by in annoyance, waiting for them to get out so he could lock up.

"But still... thanks for saving me."

How he wasn't hoarse by this point boggled her mind.

"Oh good, I made it back in time for the finale. You'll make a great mom some day, I'm sure,"
she commented with a slap on the back to Seth and a sip of her coffee. "If you're done with Super Lecture 2011 and confessing your feelings to Oliver, I think it's time we head out. Don't you have school or something in the morning?"

"Awww... I wanted to fight." Jameson said with a sigh. He wandered over to the dizzy Oliver and shoved her with his foot.

Oliver slowly rose. "What are we doing? What's.. Huh?" He said with a dazed expression. His recent re-invigoration had apparently passed as quickly as it had arrived. For the moment he was just as confused as he had been.

Jameson sighed and patted his head. "Looks like the games up." Jameson said.

Oliver shrugged his shoulders with a frown. "Wha? Oh. Right." He glanced to the others with a thin smile. "It's game over." His energy blade shot out at super speed into the duck and popped it.

Jameson froze staring at him.

Oliver waltzed off cheerfully. "See you all monday~" He said wanderign away.

"... OOOO LIII VERRRR~!" Jameson roared chasing him off from the pool.
