IZUNAAAA DROP!

"N-not good not good not good! You totally hit a teacher!" Lynn bounced in place, feeling suddenly nervous as things moved quicker than she could really keep up. This demon was evil, but kinda nice? Threatened to eat her, but handed over a totally awesome magical artifact. Lynn would have loved to get her hands on it, but Leader (one of several nicknames she'd been toying with for her teacher) insisted nothing good could come from it. He certainly knew more than she did about this kinda stuff (demonlogy would have to be moved ahead in her list of studies if this was going to keep happening) and God knows hitting a teacher wasn't something Jonny would normally do. "That's like, grounds for expulsion...I think." Lynn attested nervously. Violence against another student was pretty awful too, but Hiro insisted they needed to get the pendant back. He was fast, but maybe she could end this without it if she was lucky. "O-okay! Here goes!" The mage took a sweep forward to where Jonny and Hiro were entangled, whipping off her coat in one swift motion in the process. "Watch as I make this pendant..." She hurled the coat towards Jonny, attempting to land it where he held the magical artifact. "Disappear!" She cried, hoping this would actually work for once!

As she tossed the jacket, Lynn felt it suddenly catch on her thumb, spinning around to smack her square in the face. Caught by surprise she stumbled backwards, catching her heel on a stray rock as she fell to the ground with a lame thud. "S-sorry, I think I was a little too nervous..." Lynn apologized, wriggling herself free of the jacket. Round two would hopefully go better than that. Goddammit. |

Lucidus stared in amazement that Jonny actually had assaulted the teacher, granted while it wasn't anything completely bad it was still suprising that he would go that far. When they were given the job to help Hiro retrieve the amulet Lucidus was prepared, at this point Lucidus rematerialized his bow, it would probably be useless because of Jonny's superspeed but trying was better then nothing. At this point Fenrus tried to sneak up behind Jonny, not directly behind but out of what should be his normal line of sight. "I'm sorry for doing this, but the pendant is to much to risk. " Lucidus stated, while he didn't want to engage Jonny at this point in time it was either do it now or wait until something bad happens then he actually realizes, however he wasn't planning on letting something bad happen first. Fenrus stayed behind slightly as he watched Hiro attempt to grab the pendant he didn't want to interfere in whatever the sorceror was doing. Lucidus on the other hand carefully shot an arrow towards where Jonny was currently at, hoping to injure him slightly rather then do major damage. |

After bringing the teacher to the floor, Jonny stepped back slightly, so that he was not in immediate range. He ignored much of what Hiro began to say, instead of focusing on one thing: the man was rallying the others against him. And, it seemed he had the experience of such a thing too - his voice carried that kind of tone. But then, who really ever fought demons alone? His eyes shot around, taking in his odds and enemies. There was Lynn - he knew she held some kind of magic, though wasn't sure what. Lucidus had already shown that trick with the bow. Hiro... largely an unknown, as was the other guy. He'd have to watch for those two especially. He sped backwards as Hiro reached for the Pendant again, spotting the blast from the other guy there. So - he was a magic user then. Perhaps he should've realised from the knowledge of who Pazuzu was. And it was quite fast as far as blasts go. However, Jonny was already in motion, and leapt backwards to avoid the attack, his momentum carrying him to land on a rock that jutted out from the lagoon that formed at the base of the waterfall. From here, he could see that Lynn was busy untangling herself from her own jacket - meaning she must've gotten caught in it during his burst away from Hiro. Something caught his attention out of the corner of his eye, and he leaned back just in time to avoid the arrow of light from striking him in the side. Right, four on one battle. Couldn't forget all the players here. He jumped into the air, appearing to be taking a dive into the water. However, as he pulled in his legs, one would realise that instead of soaking himself, his plan was to soak everyone else in the vicinity. Just before contact with the water, he thrust both legs down, a loud sonic boom as they surpassed the sound barrier, and hit the water with several tonnes of force. A wave formed as a result, surging towards the edges of the lagoon, where his four assailants would be almost certainly struck if they didn't do something! Jonny's feet tapped the stone bottom of the lagoon in the brief instant before the remaining water behind him surged to fill the sudden drop in its level, jumping back to the rock he had originally leapt from. The pendant's power could possibly prove helpful here, but he didn't want to use it just yet. |

NICE DRIVE!

"Shit," Hiro scoffed in frustration as Jonny virtually vanished before his eyes. He was going to have to take the task a little more seriously; he was pathetic trying to match his own physical strength against even students that had physical-based powers. As Jonny was gone the magical shot from Shad struck Hiro. Though he didn't have the time to thank him, he was very thankful the spell had been specifically targeted for Jonny alone. It would be troublesome to try and continue their little "mission" as it were cursed with Size Magic. "Aw man," by the time he got a stock on things he realized whatever Lynn had been trying backfired and Lucidus' attack had failed as well. To make matters worse, out of nowhere there was a sudden wave came rushing towards them all. Thinking fast, Hiro began to chant a barrier spell and just as the wave was about to reach its first target, Lynn, she would find herself enveloped in a green barrier keeping her safe; barriers continued appearing protecting Hiro and the other two as well. The second the wave had passed, the barriers vanished and Hiro tried to take stock of the situation. As it stood, Lynn was their best bet. However, her magic seemed just a little too caustic to rely on entirely. Jonny's entire trump card in this situation was his speed so that was the factor to address. Shutting his eyes, in focus, a blue aura exploded around Hiro as he cried out, "PERSONA!" ![]() Right on command, Hiro's persona known only as Simon emerged above him. "Time to even the odds a little! Sukukaja!!" Hiro cried out as he held forth his left arm towards Lucidus with Simon mimicking his movement. Lucidus would momentarily find himself enveloped in a pale green light and then immediately feel the effects of the spell. He would probably not be able to match him down to every last factor, but Lucidus now had the speed to at least keep up with Jonny; temporarily.

"Damnit, he avoided it." Lucidus said in annoyance, he hated it when people dodged his arrows it tarnished his reputation as an archer. However, this time he wasn't bothering with his reputation. The giant Bang followed by what seemed to be a large wave of water rushing towards them suprised Lucidus. He prepared himself for the wave, strangely enough however the rush of the wave never came, Lucidus looked back and saw the green barrier enveloping him. He looked around at the others the three of them were also enveloped in barriers. After the barriers went away Hiro called out his persona, Lucidus watched in awe as the magical being floated above Hiro's head. Suddenly Lucidus felt magical energy flowing through him, he couldn't quite tell how it had affected him but he wasn't going to wait to find out. He rushed towards Jonny only to see that his speed had a severly large boost to it. Skidding to a halt, Lucidus marveled at his new speed with this on his side he could probably match Jonny's pace. Lucidus dashed towards Jonny reaching him with an extremely short stretch of time, he pulled back the string on his arrow and manifested an arrow firing it off at Jonny, just over pointblank. Just after firing it Lucidus shut his eyes and muttered "Uranicus Mico Telum" suddenly a large blinding flash of light would erupt from the arrow, hopefully Jonny would be blinded by the arrow leaving him open for more potential attacks to prevent him from fighting. |

Jonny hadn't anticipated that his teacher would know barrier spells, but he really shouldn't have ruled out the possibility either. It wouldn't be so easy to deter them all from their goal. And he had started this by proclaiming that he would show his conviction. If he was gonna get through this, he needed to show that his conviction, was greater than theirs. He eyed the situation, wondering just what in the world would occur next. It still amazed him that this was even happening at all. Had his attempt to contact the demon been uninterrupted and isolated as planned, then none of this would have ever happened. Sure, he might have to contend with Lynn, but she seemed clumsy as it was, and he doubted she'd be confident enough without anyone around. But, he hadn't considered Yuki brave enough to do what she had against the Architect, so couldn't presume too much. If he ever pulled anything like this again, whether it be demons, mages, or whatever, it would have to be something even more isolated. Though, given the fact he could cover the entire japanese coastline in less than a day before this, he had little doubt he wouldn't find somewhere. Jonny blinked as a blue aura flared around Mr Tsukasa, and Jonny began to wonder just what he was doing. The man gave a cry of 'PERSONA', though the lad wasn't completely sure of what he meant. A persona was one's attitude and personality as they presented to others. How did that relate to magi- "Whoa." Jonny witnessed as the being draped in red emerged above the teacher, eminating with some kind of strange power. It was notable in that however it was summoned, it wasn't in any of the various manners he had seen previously. No runes, no enchantments, no big fancy circle. Just a man looking like the japanese flag brought to life standing above a magic user. So how did this work? However, he had evidently become too fixated on the strange being itself, not failing to realise that the words it uttered held some significance. That significance became obvious as Lucidus, a being who had displayed no previous level of superhuman speed, was moving across the water at speed he himself had previously shown. Trying to beat me at my own game, huh? He thought, considering whether or not his foe's newfound speed carried with it the strength as granted by the laws of physics, or whether its presumably magic nature cancelled out the sheer force of his momentum. Either way, Jonny didn't intend to find out. The sound barrier broke again as Jonny began to backflip, grinning a little at his opponent's reflection in the warrior. Even at this range, he was still fast, and the more experienced speedster. However, his failure to consider that his foe's arrow abilities might actually have some special feature bit him in the butt as the light flashed from the arrow his foe had fired, and through the reflection of the warrior, blinded him. "Gah!" He shut his eyes as he finished flipping, his speed allowing him to not broke the surface tension of the water as he skidded all the way to the rock. He instinctively grabbed behind him, clasping onto a piece of rock that jutted out. He was thankful that with his heightened perception, it gave him a degree of photographic memory. Blinded like this, he was going to have to rely on it until his eyes were back to normal. Though with an opponent that seemed as fast as him - meaning potentially all the way up around Mach 2 - he couldn't simply use sound to discern the whereabouts of his opponents. The moment he'd hear something, the enemy would have already moved somewhere else. Maybe he could... ...No. The pendant's spell didn't do anything that would help his eyes. It might just make things harder, in all reality. He could use it when he could see again. He flipped upwards on the rock face, digging in his feet, before sprinting ahead as another sonic boom was left behind him. He emerged above the waterfall in no time, giving him some room between the competition. He hoped that none of them could fly, because it would really limit exactly who could follow him up here. Then again, they'd been pulling off stuff he hadn't expected so far. |

IZUNAAAA DROP!

"I-I'm not out of this yet! B-but thank you Leader..." Lynn said, stubbornly getting to her feet as Hiro protected her from the raging torrent of water. She had to be able to do something...to be of value to this conflict without having to resort to 'that' sort of magic. Lynn simply didn't want to hurt anyone, this fight between teacher and student would be rough enough as it is without any of them coming out of it with injuries of some kind. Lynn needed to focus. There was strategy going on here, a synergy between the other two, Lucidus and Hiro. They weren't trying to hurt him and by fighting to each others strengths they were working together to disable him. This was the kind of fighting Lynn could get behind! Certainly there had to be something she could do... "If at first you don't succeed...Try and try again a little differently!" If she could just keep focus, maybe the slight of hand trick could be enough, he was blind but could still hear and who knows how long his sight would be knocked out. She needed to disorient him further to get her jacket over the pendant, if only for a second. Easier said than done from the top of a waterfall, but he wasn't the only one with fancy tricks like that! Lynn ran as fast as she could to the base of the waterfall, just off-shore from where he'd run up. Sliding her jacket just onto her shoulders, Lynn snatched her walking stick, holding it down just enough for her jump on top of it. Her balance wobbled for a moment before stabilizing just enough for her to cautiously get to her feet. This was seriously crazy, but if it worked it'd be pretty awesome! Correcting for her weight, the walking stick's supernatural nature pushed back against her, attempting to leave the ground even with the extra weight on top. "Go, walking stick, go!" Lynn said encouragingly as it slowly made its way upwards at about the speed of a department store escalator. Not exactly speedster territory, but levitating was hardly flying now wasn't it? As she neared the top, Lynn reached into the pocket of her coat, pulling out a string of colorful handkerchiefs which seemed abnormally long for the size of the pocket. She quickly balled it up in her hands, hiding them from sight until she just peaked over the top of the waterfall, narrowing her gaze as Jonny came into view. "Now you're gonna get it!" She yelled, suddenly throwing open her hands towards Jonny as what was once a handful of colored cloth emerged as a large swarm of confused and frightened pigeons! The wild flapping of wings and feathers would mostly obstruct her from sight and sound as she leaped from the stick to land, jacket in hand to protect from catching feathers, claws or beaks in her eyes as she ran through the birdemic. As she neared the end, Lynn swung the coat off of her head once more, giving a wide sweep over where Jonny was supposed to be, hopefully sufficiently distracted. "I've got...you now!"

NICE DRIVE!

"Tch," Hiro scoffed as he tried to keep up with the ensuing super speed battle, "It's what I expected. He has too much experience for it to truly level the playing field." Against Izumi the use of Sukukaja had made a huge difference, but against another person whose special powers related to speed it was more like lessening the handicap than giving a bonus. To his surprise, Lynn followed up Lucidus' movements with another of her own spells. He had a good feeling about it, but he wasn't about to hold back and bet everything on it. Harming Jonny severely was out of the question; this was another handicap to their "battle." This meant the only effective way to proceed with things was to overwhelm the opponent. Hiro began to run closer towards the waterfall and Jonny's new position as Simon floated along keeping pace above him. "Everybody keep it up!" he shouted to Lynn and Lucidus as Lynn began to swing her coat towards Jonny, "Let's go, Simon! ZIODYNE!!!!" Hiro's Persona spoke the spell's name along with him and raised its right arm pointing a single finger towards Jonny as all at once a powerful series of lightning bolts began to explode forth and race towards their target; arcing around from the other side so as to avoid Lynn. Truth be told, it would hurt like hell if it but Hiro forcefully expended less power to tone down the spell. In truth, whether it struck or not didn't matter, but he couldn't risk injuring a student. The true goal was simply to give Jonny one more problem to try and handle amid everything else. |

The Middleman (stubborn, yet relaxed)

"Speaking of leveling, does anyone know how to just flatten the area so he can't just jump and avoid ranged attacks using the rocks and trees?" Shad said briefly, chasing after Jonny after a moment of thought in how to trap him. Unfortunately, he was not as fast as Lucidus but kept at it regardless. "You know, like a gravity increase or turn the rockface into tar?" As he said this, he drew on more mana to form into his hand and forming it into a ball of light. 'Have to be careful...too much reduction and I might slip up in my measurements.' He thought, arcing the outstretched hand in position and focusing on where Jonny was above the waterfall. Naturally, Lynn was in no danger if the beam would hit her, although he wondered if she could teach him how to summon fresh poultry from thin air. "Target: Boy with red shirt and blue pants. Size Reduction Left Leg. Original Size: *" W, *'*" H, *" L. Reduction by 6" W, 1' H, 1' L.", He muttered under his breath in a nonsensial way, aiming straight at Jonny's torso. This time, he was sure that Jonny couldn't escape with all the distractions occuring all at once and preventing him from jumping backwards. The beam burst out soundlessly, racing quickly to engulf it's target (and hopefully make his leg unable to support his weight). |

Considering Jonny's desperate attempt to put distance between the lot of them Lucidus had guessed that he was infact blinded by the arrow. He had a very small window of time where Jonny couldn't exactly fight back all that well. The others also saw this as a great oppurtunity to go after Jonny, Lucidus wasn't ready to waste this golden oppurtunity. He observed as Lynn attempted her own spell, it would deffinetly be confusing to a blind person having a flock of birds flying around making all kind of noises. Lucidus then observed Hiro's lightning magic and Shad's beam. Lucidus hoped that they weren't strong enough to kill or cripple him however, if they were it would be a serious problem all they were trying to do was to get the pendant not hurt him in any way. Lucidus quickly ran up causing a sonic boom of his own right beside where Jonny was. He had to think of a way which he could prevent Jonny from fighting back so that the others could get the pendant off of him without injuring him to badly. Lucidus quickly thought, then he thought of a possible way to easily disable Jonny if it hit home of course. Lucidus pulled an arrow on the string of his bow and fired it off towards one of Jonny's feet to attempt to limit his movement, he managed the strength of the arrow so if it did hit it wouldn't be crippiling for a long time but maybe for at most a couple of hourse. |

"Now you're gonna get it!" Came Lynn's voice from in front of him, and Jonny braced himself for what he presumed would be an inevitable attack. However, instead of that, he had the flapping of so many birds. Of course - Lynn was a stage magician, not just an actual magician. Pulling birds out of nowhere was a specialty of theirs. Though, it was sort of embarassing, if he was being deafened by a bunch of doves... assuming they were doves and not say... pigeons. "I've got...you now!" He heard something through all the flapping, and after that, the pop of a sonic boom, easily detectable in the background, even above all the birds. Lucidus was coming, and he had to react. He dived backwards as the coat swept over him, managing to catch a few of his possessions in the process. It wasn't a particularly fast speed, but it was enough that he knocked aside most of the birds in the way. Their beaks and claws scratched his back, but not so much that a few dabs of antiseptic wouldn't be enough to clear things up. He realised some of his stuff - like photos and his boxers - were missing, but breathed easy, as he could still feel the cool touch of the pendant upon his ski- WUMPH There was a sudden surge of pain in his feet as he felt them struck by something. He collapsed under his weight, his feet failing to support him from the shock of the pain. Perhaps he was lucky for it, for two strikes of magical energy - though one converted into electricity - surged overhead, narrowly missing. "D-dammit..." He pushed off with both hands at sonic speeds, managing to propell himself further backwards, though without his feet, this could be trouble. His sight was beginning to return, but things were blobs of colour at best. He tried to dig in his right foot, and make it a base to stand on, but it hurt too much to work with. He was running out of options. He needed to be stronger. To be able to stand. To be able to... "...Alright then." He muttered under his breath, the pendant beneath his shirt shining brighter than ever. "TARUKAJA!" He yelled, a surge of power in his body as he stood, despite the pain in his feet. He could feel a new found strength in himself. He was stronger, faster... or at least, he thought so. How fast was something he wasn't sure of. But he could test it by waiting for the response to this new change in him. |

The Middleman (stubborn, yet relaxed)

(OOC: Sorry, editted.) "Blast it, missed again." Shad groaned in a dull, monotone manner without much excitement in his tone. He was a bit annoyed this kid was dodging all of his attacks so easily. Of course, now he was using that demonic energy to power himself up but such a thing matters little to a size mage such as himself as long as Shad had distance between him and Jonny. 'Now then...I may not know how much athletic training he may have, but I should make certain he can't use his arms as weapons. At this range, he can't escape my sight since I can see him from afar even if he blurs.' He thought, drawing mana into his arm and refocusing it into a ball of magical light, aiming his hand directly at Jonny's exposed torso. "Target: Boy with red shirt and blue pants. Size Reduction Right Leg. Original Size: *" W, *" H, *" L. Reduction by 6" W, 1' H, 4" L." He mumbled under his breath, once again ready to prevent Jonny from using one of his legs once more as the beam burst from his open palm and headed straight for Jonny's exposed torso.
