A cold chill filled the club as a tall figure could be seen walking into the club, with a small girl on his arm. It was Kaimu's Raven Hiroshima. He let out a loud groan as he slouched his shoulders in slight nervousness.

" Do you have to hang onto me like this? People may get the wrong idea about us...not that I'm worried about what these people think, but what if someone from school is here? Do you want the entire campus talking about us?" He said as he adjusted his shirt in a attempt to ease his discomfort. The last thing he wanted was for people back at school to think he was getting soft.

" Not that I care, but I don't want people messing with you for hanging out with me...even the rest of the guys know hanging out with me is social suicide." He said as he looked away from Mika. Raven knew his legend around school, a cold heartless soul who would kill you if you spoke his name out loud.

All lies!.....well sorta, he wouldn't kill for the hell of it, although he did find great joy in it, he wasn't all cold as everyone thought, but even though he was showing Mika a side of him that he has showed no one, he still knew what it would mean if people back at school heard, and the thought of anyone talking about Mika behind her back made the want to kill flow into his head.

" Well anyway its your night...let's find a table..." He said with a somewhat defeated tone as he began to scan the area for somewhere for them to sit, and talk for a minute.

Continuation of this topic.

Mika grinned as she walked in with Raven, her arm curled lightly around his. She was short, just over five feet tall, and was dressed in a pair of jeans and sneakers, with a black shirt on top of that. Over that, she wore a gray jacket about two sizes too big for her. Her hair was slightly messy, as if she had been out in the wind a while. "Someone from our school," she repeated. "Here. At this time of night. In this particular club. Two hours out of Kaimu when there's plenty of other clubs in the area." She frowned and pursed her lips, as if considering it. "Oh yeah, it's totally happening," she said, a small amount of sarcasm laced into her voice even as she giggled at him.

She grinned playfully as he mentioned social suicide, looking up at him. "Hai, Shinigami-san, whatever you say~" she said, laughing. To be honest, she wasn't too worried about her reputation. Considering she didn't have one when she first came to school, she knew that she could do without it. Besides, it would be kind of nice if people got the wrong idea. Maybe they would stop asking her out. "It's alright. People already know I'm a little odd, so it's all good. Besides, I don't really care. It's not like I asked them to like me or whatever."

The thing about being a short cute girl was that everything she said was automatically considered cute. Even threats. Well, until your textbooks decided to spontaneously combust anyway.

"We'll make a gentleman out of you yet," said Mika with a smile. "Let's go over there," she said, leading him towards one area of the club that had an empty table tucked out of the way of everything else. It was probably more Raven's style, considering the amount of people in Underground 10 that night.

" Hmm guess your right...there is next to no chance that someone from Kaimu would be here...guess I can relax somewhat..." He said as he scanned the room, as if on cue guys started to eye Mika. Raven growled under his breath as if to mark his territory. His eyes went back to the girl as she continued to tease his notion of someone from school being there.

" Ok, ok I get it no one is here you can stop poking fun at me." He said calmly as he laughed softly while looking at her. He knew the rumors about Mika at school, how she turned down every guy that wanted to date her. Raven had wrote it off as selective breeding in the beginning, but after spending time with her, he saw more to it. Maybe she just didn't want a boyfriend? Or maybe none of the guys interested her?

" Like you? More like obsessed...all the guys in the kendo club talk about how cute you are...I just don't see it...your just Mika to me, but those idiots see something else...damn hormones... Not that I don't think your pretty, cause I do, well wait, I mean I don't, but I do, but its nothing you have to worry about..." He said, stumbling over his words, as they sat down at the table. His eyes stayed locked onto Mika the whole time, not once traveling to another girl in the club, which for a womanizer like Raven was quite odd.

" Gentleman? I'm all man, but rarely gentle little one...you would do good to remember that..." He said softly as he smiled at her, it was then his eyes became fixed on her coat. " Hmm? Are you cold? Sure you don't wanna take that thing off? Its kinda warm in here...." He said eyeing her with curiosity.

"S-Sou ka...? They do...?" asked Mika as she sat down, lowering her eyes at Raven's mention of the kendo club. She hugged her arms close to herself, her hands resting at her elbows as she half-turned her body away. It almost looked like the thought of being admired made her uncomfortable, which didn't seem a thing like the confident Mika that had been bantering with Raven earlier. She looked up as he began stumbling over his words, smiling at him and laughing softly.

"That's almost cute," she said, her smile widening into a small grin. "But thanks." She slowly unfolded her arms, tracing a circle on the table with her finger. She leaned back in her chair and turned around, one arm draped over the chair's back as she watched the people dancing in the center of the club, listening to the music and the bright lights. She smiled, rocking her chair onto its back legs and sitting with one leg tucked underneath her. The atmosphere was good here. It almost made her want to get up and dance.

...It was a shame the club wouldn't survive after the school was gone.

She lowered her eyes as the thought of what they were doing brought a fresh wave of guilt. Weren't these just people like her who needed a home like the one she found in Kaimu? But she wouldn't betray her sempai. She would never...

"Iie, it's fine, I'll keep it on," she said, looking up at Raven.

" Don't worry...I beat the crap out of them as soon as they start...if they have enough time to dream about you, they have enough time to get better....lazy son's a....." His voice trailed off at the end as he grumbled about the other members. Raven took the kendo club seriously, seeing as the president allowed him to keep it after joining the Execution squad, not that she gave him much of a choice on joining.

" Cute?! That's it I need to cut someone I'm losing my edge." He spoke frantically as he looked around, trying to find someone to attack, Raven didn't like seeming weak, and the last thing he wanted was for Mika to get the wrong idea about him.

" But don't worry your pretty, in a girl sort of way, Its just I see you like every day so I don't see a need to think about you that much..." He said trying to correct his sentence, Raven didn't want to leave a bad taste in his mouth over the way his words came out. He wasn't trying to hurt her, but then again he couldn't tell she was fine. The curse of not dealing with girls a lot it would seem.

His eyes scanned the room watching the people as they danced, so here they where having fun, while the school was slowly going under. Raven had no interest in the games the council president wanted to play with these people, but he would follow orders. But from what he could tell, hardly anyone in the group felt truly strong about what the president was doing. Why was Hyakuji such a threat anyway, that was something he would never understand, but as long as she gave him something to fight, he would follow her orders.

" Ok then, just didn't want you to get hot...but if you insist.." He said dropping the subject as he saw she didn't want to talk about it.

" Hmm I'm surprised you aren't like the other girls....always asking me are the rumors true...am I a demon...I think the other little one spread that rumor...but it keeps the girls at bay...." He said as he watched a waitress come over to take their orders.

" Would you like something to drink sir?" She asked as she took out a pad, and pen.

" Long island ice tea...and if you ask for ID I will cut your eyes out...." He spoke firmly as he glared at her with a serious look that seemed to send a shiver down her spine.

" And you Ms?...." She asked almost jumping out of her skin.

Mika smiled as Raven started looking around for someone to attack. "Now, now, I thought we were trying to avoid bloodshed," she said. "Besides, I'm probably the only one that thinks like that." She had heard a lot of adjectives used to describe Raven, but cute just wasn't one of them. Mika crossed her legs, placing her hand on her knee.

"I understand, don't worry about it," she said, shaking her head. "Honestly, I don't know where they got that 'pretty' idea from anyway. I'm not exactly a model, y'know." And she wasn't. She was short and a little bony, although she had filled out a little from the scrawny thing that had first walked into Kaimu three years ago. Her hair was always messy, even when she combed it, and if she wore her cap all day, she usually ended up with hat hair. Plus, she was more or less flat-chested, not that it bothered her too much. Less weight to carry when she was running around. She always wore long sleeves, and none of the boys around Kaimu had even seen her in a swimsuit--she wore a shirt over her swimsuit during the class trip to the beach and had skipped out on the onsen trip all together.

That, coupled with the fact that her mannerisms were pretty much boyish and her fashion sense wasn't exactly cutting edge made her surprised that anyone wanted to date her. Be friends with her, sure, she took pride in thinking that she was a pretty cool person sometimes, but date?

Kaimu guys had some pretty weird taste.

"Why would I need to confirm it?" asked Mika, frowning at Raven. "I know you're dangerous. And I know you can be scary. I'm just not scared of you." She leaned forward, sticking her tongue out at him. "But a demon?" She shrugged. "'Sides, if I asked you a question, I'd have to answer a question from you, and I know what a pain that is."

She looked up as the waitress came up and asked them for their drinks, sweatdropping as Raven threatened her. She kicked him lightly under the table, not enough to hurt, but enough for him to notice it. The waitress seemed to be freaked out enough to ignore them, though, so she sighed and turned towards him. "I don't really know much about drinks, so order something for me," she said. She was almost glad he mentioned ID though. Even with a fake, nobody around here would believe she was 20.

Heck, most people didn't even believe she was 17, and she actually was.

" Some times blood shed can't be avoided....some people just kinda look like they deserve to die..." He said completely serious, to Raven if you gave off a certain look, he wouldn't hesitate to kill you if you crossed him. Yes it was a warped mind set, but who ever said Raven was a sane person? " You think I'm cute? And you wonder why I think your crazy?...." He said jokingly as he leaned back in his chair. Raven had been approached by a few girls in his time at Kaimu, but none sparked an interest in him.

In a way he felt like Mika, Raven turned down, most, if not all of the girls who where brave enough to ask him out, but for him there was a method to this, he loved to see the pain on their faces, it made him feel as if he held some sort of power, but Mika was different she acted as if Raven did not strike fear into her, and then she confirmed his thoughts a mere few seconds later.

" Not possible.....everyone fears me....even you little one....your either too dense to understand, or you hide it well..." Raven spoke as he looked at her with mild amusement at her not being afraid, other then the council president, everyone avoided him.

" Who said you had to be a model? Not everyone can have the assets of the council president.....you should be happy...would you want Louie giving you a nickname like DD?" Raven said as he thought on the presidents body, a small grin forming on his face. He had never hidden the fact that he was slightly attracted to the president, but its not something he wanted to get around the entire school.

" You could ask....no promises that I would answer....and what are you hiding that's so important? You act as if its something that will make me think differently of you...I don't think highly of anyone so don't worry..." He said as he jumped slightly as she kicked him. It didn't hurt, that much, but it did catch him off guard.

" Hmm bring the little one the same, let's just hope she can handle her liquor..." He said with a smirk as he looked to Mika. He had his doubts about giving her alcohol, but figured it could make for a fun time.

OOC: Chizu gave me the go ahead. So pardon my posting ^^

"You'll do no such thing. There's a policy to everything, boy."

The voice seemed disembodied for a moment, a smooth and heavy barotone. He wasn't seen at first and it even took the waitress a second glance to spot its owner. It was a man, sitting nearby Mika and Raven, his right left cross lazily over his left, a short, squat, square glass in his right hand, filled halfway with a brown-gold liquid that could have either been brandy or rum. The man himself was quite a site to behold once you got a look at him. Looking at him now, it was if he should have been in plain siight from the beginning, but it was almost as if he was willing his entire pressence not to be noticed.

And it certainly was a pressence. Even though he was sitting, one could see the man was both tall and broad in stature. His most prominant feature, was his hair. It was was a dark, sable black, tied back into a ponytail with a red ribbon. While most male hair seemed to frizz out as it got long, this man's hair did not. It seemed to stay close together, even though it was only tied together by that single ribbon that was aligned with the middle of his neck. The shine of it, seemed to almost make it look like a long black mamba, as it would appear to reach back his lower back, if he was to stand up.

He sat there, slowly swishing the ice around in his glass, looking at the two Kaimu students. Once having taken in his immediate physical pressence, they would begin to notice how this man was decorated. He wore a light grey button up shirt, the sleeves rolled up to just below his biceps, showing just a hint of what looked to be several tribal tattoo patterns on both arms. He wore black chino pants and very clean, polished dress shoes that seemed to be some form of slip-on model due to not having laces. He had not other decoration however. No necklace, no earrings, no watch.

What did seem most pequiliar about this man, was the way his eyes seemed to reflect the light, it seemed almost brighter in his eyes, even if it was just dancefloor lighting. He stopped the gentle swirling of his ice, speaking again to the waitress, "My dear, don't feel obligated to serve these two. Not showing ID and threatening you to boot. I'd say you're all about entitled to bring him the drink and throw it in his face before he reaches for it." Terado reached into his pocket and seemed to place a generous wad of bills into the waitresses apron. "Move along dear, that should cover anything these two would have bought." It was sure to be said, this man was very elegant in his actions, seeming to have had at least 1 milleniums worth of practice.

Terado then turned his attention to Raven and Mika, unphased about what he did, "Truely, I'm amazed you pups have the audacity to do such a thing. Lieing about age is one thing, but threatening? Surely you've missed a life-lesson or 10."

"Not really," said Mika, smiling slightly as she continued to trace small circles on the tabletop. "See, the thing is, the root of everyone's fear of you is that they're afraid to die," she said, continuing to smile. "And I'm not, so I'm not afraid of you." She knew that the only reason she was still alive was that she got lucky. So, if she thought about it that way, then she was living on borrowed time already. And she hadn't expected to still be alive the first time.

Not that she had been scared then either...

She frowned, her finger pausing on the tabletop as she thought about her dream. It had been so vivid, but...No, nothing to worry about.

Even in a place like this, we can still be friends, ne?

...Nana-chan...

She looked up suddenly, realizing that Raven was still talking to her. She spaced out? How embarrassing. Her face turned slightly pink, not from what he was saying, but from how she had been completely spaced out back then. "...Well, it's better than A-minus," she muttered with a small 'huff', turning her head to the side and propping it up on her hand as she listened to Raven order a drink for her.

She looked up as a man approached them, scolding them for threatening the waitress. Her eyes narrowed sharply, and Raven would notice that her finger, which had earlier been tracing aimless circles on the tabletop, traced one large circle and came to rest on top of a discarded napkin. She tilted her head up slightly, but didn't sit up, watching the newcomer. Her body was tense. She was ready to fight.

"I would've stopped him from actually doing it. So, what'cha gonna do, old man? Toss us out?" she asked, her finger playing with the edge of the napkin.

" Not afraid huh? That's a good attitude to have little one...makes things easier when the moment finally comes, hmm I'm starting to like you.." He said with a grin as he watched her space out. Something was bothering her, and he had noticed it since he asked her about the coat. There was something Mika wasn't telling him, but he refused to pry.

His eyes widened as she spoke on her nickname being A-minus. He snickered a bit as she turned away from him. He had heard a few guys call her that, but would never tell her that, he loved death, but only when he was the one dishing it out. Also they may have been idiots, but even they didn't deserve to have their heads blown off, which for Raven would have been a nice sight.

It was then some man spoke to the two, signaling to the waitress that she need not bring them the drinks. Raven growled, as his kill on sight alarm began to go off. He turned to eye the man, and to his surprise the man was what he expected, some overgrown Hyakuji do-gooder. Raven scanned the man, noticing nothing of any worth, as far as he was concerned. But it would seem as if his nice night out with Mika was about to get bloody.

" Hmm flashing money to seem like a big man? Hmm compensating for something are we? Well that's to be expected from you Hyakuji people, all morals, but little sense..." He glanced at Mika as she spoke to the man, reassuring him that she would not have let Raven hurt the woman.

" Toss us out? I would cleave that arm off before he even touched us....."

Terado said nothing, listening simply to their threats and smiling politely. Hyakuji do-gooder? He hardly thought so. Sure he'd been here for a few months since the darkness had swallowed up Nova OASIS and spat him out here. Terado wasn't really one to take seriously what either of these two said or did. Perhaps it was just because he'd gotten complacent over the years, or maybe it was that he knew the two of them had a worse bark than they did their bite.

Terado sipped his drink some more, feeling the prickles of the alcohol as it slid down his throat, but not feeling any kind of a rush from it like most people did. He chuckled at Crow's comment, "And I suppose you're compensating for something by trying to act imposing and harcore in front of a woman, little boy." Honestly, why was it that when money was an issue other men seemed to always bring that up? The ones who did so were normally the most insecure about such things. Which lead Terado to believe, there was much more instability within Raven than he'd originally thought.

His soft smiled grew ever so slightly, "Throw you out? Now why would I want to do that? If I thew you out then it would spoil all my fun, preventing you from getting drinks all night, causing you endless hassles. To me that seems much more entertaining than putting you both in your place and watching you crawl back to your kennels with your tails between your legs." Terado took another sip of his drink, watching them both with a casual stare, still seated.

He then looked to Raven, now reffering to cutting off his arm, "As for you, mini-kenshi, be careful what you say or else I might get the wrong idea and decide to teach you the consequence of such brutal arrogance." Terado uncrossed his legs, looking at the two of them, "I wonder what kind of emotion you'd feel if I tore your girlfriend's still beating heart out and made her eat it, while you watched."

"Actually, that's just how he always is," said Mika when Terado implied that Raven was compensating for something. "Nothing to do with me." She wasn't talking in her usual lighthearted tone as she watched Terado. In fact, to someone that didn't know her very well, she looked almost bored, her head resting in her hand as she toyed with the items on the table. Raven, however, might notice that her hand moved from the napkin to the coaster on the table. He had probably been in the Execution Squad with Mika long enough to know that the force generated by her explosions depended on the weight and density of whatever it was she was blowing up.

A napkin was a warning shot, one that would probably not hurt at all, but would freak somebody out if they weren't expecting it. A coaster was serious.

She raised an eyebrow, but other than that, didn't react when Terado mentioned sending them back with their tails between their legs. Like he would be able to do it. It wasn't as if she and Raven couldn't go somewhere else. They did have all of Kaimu open to them, although Raven seemed to have something against being seen with her. She didn't even move, just raised her eyebrow once and lowered it, her trailing fingers settling on the coaster.

He mentioned cutting out her heart.

One heartbeat.

Two heartbeats.

Moving with all the suddenness of a striking snake, Mika placed her hand flat on the coaster and slid it across the table top. She did it fast, so that the coaster went over the edge of the table and just kept going, flying through the air towards Terado. The speed at which she moved, coupled with how quiet and unresponsive she had been earlier would hopefully be enough to shock him. After all, Terado knew nothing about her personality, and wouldn't know what was odd behavior for her or not. Almost an instant after it left her hand, the coaster was flying straight towards Terado's chest. It would explode, whether or not it hit him. The blast would be non-lethal, like all of Mika's explosions, but it would be powerful enough to blow Terado back a couple of feet if it hit.

Mika was on her feet before the blast stopped, one hand resting on the table. She had gotten up so quickly that her chair had fallen over.

"I'm sorry, you'll do what to me?" she asked. She reached into her pocket, drawing out three coins and spacing them between the fingers of her hands. "Come and try. I'll blow your brains out."

Raven looked at Mika as she said his attitude had nothing to do with her, she may have been partly right, but she may have had a slight effect on his attitude at the moment. His eyes shot to the man as he made a remark about sending them home.

" Once again old man, you can try, although your size doesn't mean a damn thing, I have killed bigger...." He said as he crossed his arms, lifting his hand slightly to remove a strand of silver hair from in front of his face. His eyes then shot to Mika's hands as he saw her playing with the items on the table, all the while, he could feel her energy reacting, he knew what this meant, she was gearing up for an attack. So the little one had guts? Raven smiled at this, she was better then he thought.

It was then the man said something, that he would soon regret. Raven shot a cold glare as his eyes began to turn red with rage. As they did the temperature around them all had dropped to below zero, the chair he was sitting on, freezing in an instant.

" You touch one hair on Mika's head....and I will make you want to die..." Before he knew it her name slipped out of his mouth, instead of his pet name 'Little one', if Mika was paying attention she would notice the softness his voice held when it spoke her name. Now to someone who didn't know Raven, that would sound like a weak threat, but for someone who knew him like Mika did, that threat sent a chill down the spine of most. For a person who enjoyed killing more then anything else, for Raven to do something so horrible that he saw no need to kill you after wards would scare the crap out of even the council president.

" If you want to lose your life that badly geezer...then let's g-" He was cut off as Mika launched an attack, her movements as swift, and quick as a level 100 speed form deoxys. Raven strained his eyes, trying to keep up with her, but with little luck. Before he knew it, a loud explosion had went off, causing a cloud of smoke to fill the air.

Raven smiled as he disappeared into the smoke cloud, trying to conceal his movements. He quickly formed a knife out of ice on his hand as he made his way to the mans back.

" Shouldn't have pissed her off, she tends to have a worse temper then mine....but not that you will live long enough to remember that tid bit....." He spoke as he moved quickly around the man, waiting for the perfect moment to strike, choosing to strike while running at the man head on. His right arm flew forward, the blade freezing the air as it traveled towards the man's chest.

"Hmph."

Terado's smile never faded from his face. It was kind of offputting really to see how he smiled. He was holding something back and anyone would be able to pick up on that. It would probably come across as arrogance or overconfidence, but that couldn't really be avoided. These children, so hot-blooded, so brash due to youth. Already Terado knew one thing, they couldn't choose their battles well, purely because even if they could read an opponant, they weren't smart enough to read deep enough into one to know to show a bit of caution.

His eyes didn't miss Mika playing with her coaster, but he made nothing of it right away. He just listened to them talk. He admired their spirit, that he couldn't deny. "Old man? Exaggeration is hardly called for." Even if it was true, the fact remained that Terado was the picutre of a prime, young adult. It was then that Terado saw Mika launched her attack. He wasn't sure what was about to happen, so the best thing was to flow with it. He didn't make a move to cover his chest and felt the attac explode against his chest, causing him to fly backwards, even if the damage wasn't lethal, it certainly sent him flying.

However, he used it's momentum, to flip over and land on the ground in a rather graceful way, his long ponytail slowly billowing from side to side as he did so. Amazingly, he'd rotated his glass to keep his drink inside and took another sip once he'd landed. So that was her game. Combustion. Terado smirked. Now that was going to be interesting to go up against. Terado began to dust himself off just as Raven moved, but made no move to stop his attack, feeing the cold ice pierce his upper torso. What Raven would notice, was that although he'd landed the blow, it as seemed that Terado's muslces had contracted at a certain point to keep it going any further and were now literally keeping it in place.

Crimson blood trickled down the icecle and onto Raven's hands, with Terado standing there motionless. He felt the pain, it's not like he couldn't even if the alcohol had some numbing qualities, it was not enough. But he face didn't show it, it remained clam throughout it all. The dancefloor had stopped and was now watching this scene and the DJ had stopped the music. Terado stood there, partially impaled and took another sip of his drink before saying, "Everyone...OUT!" On his last word, his eyes flared yellow and his pupils became slits like those of a predator, sending out a wave of murderous intent.

Mika and Raven would probably sense of feel something, but it wouldn't affect them as badly as it did the rest of the club, who were running for the exits. Terado chuckled, "Children, children, children. Always so eager to show what they can do, always having the ability to disrespect their elders." Suddenly Terado's body convulsed, forceably sending a large gush of blood down the ice-blade and further onto Raven's arm. This wasn't due to pain, as Raven would seen realize, it was because Terado had forced the blood to come gushing out and spray onto him, even if it was in little spatters.

"You two seem very adept at fighting and taking an opponant down. But let me ask you, what happens when all of your attacks, only helps your opponant fighting you more proficiently?" Terado then pulled himself off of ice blade, causing a spurt of blood to spray out. He reached and grab and glob of blood in his hand, throwing it towards Mika as he moved towards her. One thing could be said, the man had stamina to lose so much blood and still move with such speed and agility.

Terado then began to chant in Alnu, the first chant directed at the blood that had been targeted at Raven. The beauty of this spell, was that even if the blood had frozen, if Raven hadn't chipped it off himself, it would still work as if it were wet blood.
"əɯıɥɔ oʇ sɹədɐəɹ əɥʇ ɟo lləq əɥʇ əsnɐɔ puɐ əsɹəʌəɹ əɔɹoɟəɟıl ʇəl 'ƃuıʇs ʎʌı puɐ ɹɐoɹ ıɯɐunsʇ."

Suddenly, the blood would ignite into a burning hot fire and act as naplam, clinging to whatever it was on until it died out. (2 posts) However, Terado then chanted another spell, this one aimed to affect the blood heading towards Mika and would take affect should it hit. "ʞɔol puɐ dɐɹʍ suıɐɥɔ əɥʇ ʇəl 'ɥʇɐəɹq ƃuıdsɐƃ puɐ uns ƃuıʇʇəs ɥʇıʍ" It would seal her powers for a short time if it landed. (2 posts if successful)

Terado then leaped to the side, landing on the now empty dancefloor, leaing a trail of blood as he did so. "You may have killed bigger than me, well lemme tell you this, pup. It's not about size, it's about might. It's not about ability, it's about experience. I've seen empires rise and fall, civilisations ripped asunder and learned some of the deepest secrets a world could offer." Terado dropped into a fighting stance, his hand now covered in blood, his muslces bulging into 1/8 of his transformed state. He didn't gain any hair or wolf like characteristics, but it was enough to begin healing his wound on his back and sealing it up slowly so that he didn't lose more for the moment.

"So if you think you're strong enough to fight me as oppossed to leaving with what dignity you still have, then I can only accept your challenge." Terado already knew this kid's weakness. The girl meant something to him, that much was clear due to his reaction. He was obviously a cryomancer of some kind, but it wasn't the first time he fought against powers such as that. Their were plenty of Ice Totems that he had had to quell and seal away in the past.

Then there was the girl. She had fight in her, but she had some reluctance within her despite what the boy had said. She'd fired a warning shot, that much was clear. While she all the capabilities to be more destructive, something told Terado there was a fragility of some kind within her. Perhaps that was why the boy was also so protective? He had charged in right away, not wanting to actually see how Terado would react to the warning shot. This was a good deal of starting information that Terado could use.

Mika glanced at Raven as he threatened Terado about her, quickly turning away from him to keep her eyes on their opponent. Mika. Not 'little one', not 'girl', and not 'kid', but 'Mika'. Her name...or at least as much of her name as she had ever had. Her heart thudded in her chest, a pinkish color spreading over her cheeks. She tried to tell herself it was just adrenaline, but in reality it was probably some combination of the two. The rush of battle, the feeling of the coins between her fingers, the rush of wind at her side left behind as Raven attacked Terado...she could feel her breathing evening out, her heartbeat fluttering as she settled into the familiar rhythm.

"Aw, Raven, that's sweet," she said, half-jokingly. Her lip curled up in what should have been a grin, except one of her canines poked out.

It said a lot about Raven that that was probably the nicest thing he had ever said about her. And it said a lot about Mika that she was actually flattered. But if the two of them had one thing in common, it was this--the sharp smell of smoke in the air, the cold wind biting at any exposed skin, the sound of the panicked crowd clearing the building. There was a sort of thrill to it, and she crouched, preparing to fight. Her eyes watched Terado as he began chanting, serious and unafraid.

She hadn't been lying to Raven earlier. She wasn't afraid to die. But she wasn't afraid of roaches either. That didn't mean she was going to go out, find one and kiss it. Even if she wasn't afraid of death, she didn't intend to lie down and let Terado kill her. But having no fear gave her one thing. It took out the uncertainty in the battle, and let her fight it for what it was. She grinned, raising her hand.

"Nice try!"

The minute Terado threw the blood at her, she moved, throwing the coins straight at it. The three coins hit the mass of blood dead on, trailing white smoke behind them and beginning to glow. They exploded, the smell of burning blood filling the air as the blast knocked the glob away from her. She quickly darted to the side, sliding across the empty floor and vaulting over one of the tables. Mika landed on the ground on her feet and turned towards Terado, amidst an assortment of broken glass and items left behind by the frightened customers. She smiled, running a hand through her hair.

"Y'know, just wanted to thank you for clearing the room," she said. "Saves me the trouble." She ran forward suddenly, twisting her body around and sweeping her foot across the floor like a dancer. Her foot swept up some of the shards of broken glass, sending them flying towards Terado. They would explode as soon as they reached him. She didn't stop, running forward and scooping up a discarded bottle cap, tossing it at Terado. She spun around again, already reaching for a coaster.
