Now, let's play together...under the clearest of blue skies.

"Ah...yes." Gail agreed without fanfare. It was going to be dark soon. She looked around, mentioning, "...I do not know the way back." Normally she could memorize paths while she was trailing a target so that she would be able to return to her base or client afterward. But she had been so distracted by the large number of people that she hadn't been able to focus on the environment. Hopefully Seth knew, though, since he had been able to lead her here. Even more so, she hoped that the city would be less crowded for the trip back. If she got separated from Seth here, she would probably be too afraid to ask someone for directions. |

One does not simply eat one packet of mee goreng

"Well, keep your eyes on the road then," Said Seth as he motioned her back using the road they took earlier to get to the restaurant. The streets wasn't exactly as crowded as before, with most people having reached their homes or workplace for some night shift, or maybe the night club or whatever. Point is, the walk back to the school was quiet and uneventful. The sky was dimming, the street lights began popping to life one by one and the air gradually grew colder as the Earth rotated on it's axis, and Japan moved away from the glaring heat of the sun. By the time they had reached the front gate the sun was already down. The area was now fully illuminated by the lights from the lampposts, and the soothing shine from the full moon up above in the cloudy sky. He noticed that the bike and the trash can from earlier had disappeared. No doubt someone picked them up, but who, he had no idea. But who cares. He gave a long sigh. Today was the same as any other day from before, though quite relaxing, actually. When you compare it to the days from before. "Well, we're here," He said simply, turning at her and giving a small smile. "Hope you'll enjoy your stay in Hyakuji," Wait, she never did say anything about being a new student here... Oh who cares about the details, thought Seth, as he moved ahead through the gates, with full intention of heading straight to his dorm room. And the moment he was out of her sight and hearing range... Yep. She's definitely an assassin. V muttered silently in his head. Quite pointless, really, since no one could hear him anyway. "You really think so? She looks so..." Seth asked for clarification, quite skeptical really, about his statement. Not kidding here. Trust the instinct of a natural killer. But more importantly, isn't there something you have to do? "...like keep an eye on her so that she doesn't actually kill anyone?" ...Not what I had in mind, but why not? Tell Jameson about- "No," He said, with a sudden defiance in his voice. "We'll handle this ourselves. There's no need to escalate this matter," I was about to ask, but whatever. |

Gail stood at the gates once more. The moment she was out of his sight, her expression became more serious.I will have to keep an eye on him. Gail slowly began moving back towards her own dorm. She still remembered the food that he had given her. He had broken her out of a cycle of eating the same thing, every day, for years and years. When she had told him 'thank you', it wasn't just out of politeness. He had really earned her gratitude. For now, she would sleep. But tomorrow, her assignment began...and already, it had complications. She made a note to find Seth again later. She would trail him as a ghost, to see if she could get a sneak peek at his 'detective friend'...Even if Seth was far away, somewhere in the city, he would always be the one person she was able to find. His soul was the only one she had ever seen that shined with two colors. |
