Time - 16:00

Louie walked out of the changing rooms, dressed in his red 21 football jersey, black jeans and red sneakers. Athletics practice had been a real tough run today, still he lived for the workout. Pity that Japan didn't exactly have a football society, well American football anyway. Still, the rugby club was starting to make some progress. Between athletics and rugby, Louie was finding his time nice and fulfilled. He picked up his bag and decided to head over to the studen council room. They were going to be having a breifing about tonight a little later on. Even if it was only going to happen at around about !8:00 or 19:00. He wasn't about to go home, so may as well just wait there, read a book or even snooze and catch some Z's during that time, seeing as he wasn't about to get much sleep tonight anyway.

"Still, it'll be worth it to pound that damn Hyakujians into the dirt. Losers."

As he made his way down the corridors, Louie was met with the usual greetings and praise. Fellow guys admiring him for his prowess and natural ability, girls swooning over him for...well his prowess and natural ability...
He wasn't complaining about it, but still.

He slid open the door to the Studen Council room, spying a free couch and made to sit down on the two seater length-wise, dropping his bag onto the floor on the side of it. "Phew, man, I can feel my muscles already shivering..." Seems the workout had gotten to him and now that he wasn't moving, Louie's body was having some trouble relapsing into a relaxed state.

Horoko left the classrooms as the last of the day's classes ended, school bag slung over her left shoulder while she went through her day's itinerary on her PDA phone. Stu.Co meeting? Now that would mean she had to change her evening schedule, putting aside a sparring session with fellows from the Kaimu Fight Club. "Horoko-sempai~!" The ever-familiar voice of her kouhai, friend and fellow member of the Kaimu Fight Club rang out as Haruka spotted her in the distance and quickly closed the gap as she ran up to the black-haired girl.

"So how was classes today, Haruka-chan?" Horoko asked, smiling slightly.

"Pretty good!" The pink-haired girl replied in her usual perky fashion as she pumped her right fist.

"I've got a Student Council meeting up this evening... so I'm not going to make it to this evening's practice session... do help me to disseminate this amongst the rest of the club," Horoko said calmly, as her pink-haired friend nodded. As Haruka ran off into the distance, the bespectacled girl couldn't help but give a slight humph over the situation. Seriously, what kind a threat could a bunch of second-rate chumps from a third-rate school for supers be? Not to say she disagreed entirely with the council president but she was certain that even without all these 'games' being played out Kaimu High would've no doubt established itself as the better of two schools. But still, to do things efficiently and decisively... that still was in line with her personal motto.

"Well look who's here," Horoko said with a gentle smile as she stepped into the Student Council's meeting room, only to spy Louie seated on a two-seater couch across the room. No one else is here at least... she thought.

"Puwah~" A soft, young voice sighed in an overly distressed fashion. Strutting slowly down the hallway came the fox-eared leader of the school Tao club and local student idol Ritsuko Tamayoshi. Still dressed in her club clothes she, like several other members of the student council had been unceremoniously called from their club duties for an emergency council meeting. Unless it was a budget issue, she saw no reason for the treasurer to need to attend, but apparently someone else did. Regardless, she was a member of the council and to resist this part of her nature strayed from the Tao Wu wei. As she stroll calmly through the halls like a classical Japanese beauty, eyes strayed this way and that as girls bowed formally and boys smiled brightly and shyly. "Good afternoon~ Dao nyan~ wu liang shou fufufufu~" Ritsuko said to each group that went by. People were always so friendly!

Finally making it to the student council meeting room she slid the door open gently, taking a few timid steps inside. "Dao nyan~" She said happily before looking around the room. Well that was strange, what was he doing here? He wasn't even a member of the student council? Had she been decieved? Or maybe...oh Horoko no... Ritsuko sighed and walked solemnly to her seat. She'd been trying so hard to prevent this, but even if he'd finally managed to break her down, he still didn't have any right to be at a council meeting. "So what seems to be the reason for everyone being here today, nyan?" Ritsuko said with a bright smile as she peacefully sat down, folding her legs off to one side. She unfortunately had already taken it upon herself to not acknowledge the kendo team captain until he started trying to make peace with himself. His constant negative energy was always a burden on the Pu of the universe. A universal Pu block. They'd discussed it already.

Louie opened an eye when he heard the door open again, only to see Horoko walk in. He smiled a bit, "Hey hey, didn't expect anyone else to be here so early, let alone you." Louie couldn't help but grin when he was alone with Horoko. It was only when someone else was around that Horoko got a little-

Oh no...

Someone else had entered the room and Louie couldn't help but feel a shiver run through his body. He didn't make anything of it, Ritsuko hadn't gone anything yet. So he decided to answer her question, "Well I'm not entirely sure, but DD had mentioned something about a meeting in regards to Hyakuji's situation. I'd thought it was student council only, but apparantly she asked for several people to be here for the meeting as well that aren't strictly student council." Louie wondered how the two girls would react to his nickname of the Student Council President. It wasn't like he was insulting her, he was just simply stating a fact.

Louie could maybe guess why he had been asked to come. While not a member of the student council, it was a known truth that he had been approached to join and had refused. Politics weren't really his thing, not unless it was causing people to rally.

"Hey hey, didn't expect anyone else to be here so early, let alone you." Horoko couldn't help but smile somewhat demurely as Louie acknowledged her arrival with his bright and cheerful grin. Well, at least before anyone else shows up for the meeting, she and Louie could spend some time to catch up.

"You know, Louie-san, I was thinking that after the Stu.Co meeting, how about we head down to-"

"Dao nyan~" A cheerful voice from a familiar girl called out, cutting off Horoko mid-sentence as the student council secretary felt ice in her veins. Ba~dump her heart pounded heavily inside her chest. Did Ritsuko manage to catch her cues... did she know about the ongoing relationship between Louie and herself... no, she couldn't have. Horoko had made sure it was all kept under wraps and that she and Louie are merely good friends.

"Ritsuko-chan! What a pleasant surprise," Horoko greeted her fellow council member, returning to her polite but dour disposition. "Been getting called out one too many times for Student Council meetings, don't you think?" Horoko tried to strike up a conversation to veer away from the possibility of Ritsuko trying to pry into the rumors that she and Louie are dating, all the while feeling the butterflies in her stomach...

"E-eh..." Just what kind of nickname was that supposed to be? Ritsuko never ceased to be amazed by the things that seemed to go on in that poor boy's head. It was enough that everyone had to put up with his impure humor but he had to go and drag poor, innocent Horoko down with him. It was tantamount to seeing an honor student fall in with delinquents. God protect that poor girl, Dao nyan. Louie-san on the other hand was already a devil, so praying for him would just be kind of silly. There was only way to handle western devils. Holding up one hand in a Buddhist prayer fashion, Ritsuko stood up and worked her way around the table. "With all due respect to our esteemed principle, she really should explain everything more clearly before asking to come up here like this, it's bad for student morale for all the club leaders to keep getting pulled away..."

Ritsuko stopped as she reached the other end of the table, just to the left of Louie and looked down at him out of the corner of her eye. In a sudden burst of speed, she reached a blurred hand into her robes and smacked Louie square on his forehead, leaving a paper charm (and probably a small bruise) dangling between his eyes. Holding up her staff, her expression one of focus and determination she began shaking it above his head as she chanted. "Gu Shen Bu Si, Shi Wei Xuan Pin! Nyan Pin Zhi Men, Shi Wei Nynan Di Gen!" Raising the staff high above her, Ritsuko brought it down swiftly upon the top of his head, giving it a light, but forceful bonk. Holding up her hand in a Buddhist prayer fashion once again, she bowed. "Nyan Nyan Ruo Cun, Yong Zhi Bu Qin. May your thoughts be now cleansed and your western demons exorcised." Ritsuko quietly strolled back to the other end of the table and sat down.

"And anyway, my club counts on me for guidance so I can't keep abandoning them for silly complaints about rival schools. I mean are we really so different that this is necessary? It bring bad omens onto our school and affects the spiritual peace of the students, Dao nyan." Things were always so competitive at this school. A little competition now and then was fine, but it was a little disconcerting when they took things this far. Still, in the interest of being a Kaimu student and having others she wanted to protect, maybe the principle's request would be a reasonable one.

A smile started to form on Louie's face as Horoko began suggest something but then it faded just as fast when she heard Ritsuko enter the room. It kinda bummed Louie out that she didn't take the relationship seriously in public. There been an article about a week back with the two of them eating lunch together and whomever the photographer had been had done a damn good job of taking the picture at the exact moment Horoko had fed Louie with her chopsticks.

Yet even with it being a common hot topic, she still refused to admit it herself. Louie then responded to Ritsuko, "You know how she is, always mysterious and loving to spring surprises on us and the school. But I do agree with you Rits, I wish she at least sent a bit more out in her memos." Louie had been watching both girls casually, but started to pay a bit more attention when Ritsuko came closer. She stood next to him and he caught that glint in her eye. "Oh! N-"

Before he could say or do anything the charm was on his head and his eyes became dazed and lidded, his lips slightly parted. After the bonk to the head, Louie snapped out of it, dazed as usual whenever Ritsuko did this kind of thing, groggily watching as she sat down before coming back to his senses. "Oi! You little kyuubi," after all, with such actions Luoie did see Ritsuko as 8 tails short of being a demon fox, "How many times do I need to tell you to cut that charm stuff out, eh?" Louie had made his way over to Ritsuko and had begun pinching her cheeks in retaliation, although it was only for about four seconds before he released her.

He huffed, rubbing his head and leaning forward on the table between Ritsuko and Horoko. "Rits, its obviously been playing on DD's nerves if she's going through all these hassles to deal with Hyakuji. I mean let's face it, how many people have come to Kaimu first as oppossed to starting at Hyakuji and then transferring. Very few." Louie then looked at Ritsuko's staff and could help but poke it once or twice in mild fascination.

"Well I'm not entirely sure, but DD had mentioned something about a meeting in regards to Hyakuji's situation. I'd thought it was student council only, but apparantly she asked for several people to be here for the meeting as well that aren't strictly student council." Louie explained why he was present despite being not a member of the student council. But then again, Horoko knew the story - Louie had been offered a seat on the Kaimu Student Council before, even though he had refused the role. There was a reason why Horoko had a thing for a boy like Louie, even if she wouldn't admit publicly that they were dating.

"With all due respect to our esteemed principle, she really should explain everything more clearly before asking to come up here like this, it's bad for student morale for all the club leaders to keep getting pulled away..." Ritsuko replied, while Horoko nodded in agreement, as the bespectacled girl reached randomly for a copy of the school newsletter that was lying on the table, turning it over to reveal the front cover. The header revealed that it was dated last week, and Horoko promptly blanched as she caught sight of the front news article - which showed a photograph from that particular lunch break at the school cafeteria when they were at the school cafeteria and one of the student journalists had managed to snap a picture of Horoko feeding Louie with her chopsticks.

Flushing, the Stu.Co secretary crumpled up the newsletter before chucking it over her shoulder, the ball of crumpled newsletter landing in a waste paper basket across the room, with the ball rolling along the rim of the waste basket before tumbling in after performing a full three-sixty turn. "Why do tabloids always like to get funny ideas about simple things..." Horoko sighed as she tugged slightly at the collar of her school uniform blouse. "D... D?" Horoko blinked at the nickname Louie had given to their Stu.Co. president, shaking her head slightly before smoothing out her hair and pushing her glasses up the nose of her bridge to get back into that stuffy, high-class Stu.Co. secretary and Kaimu Fight Club honorary vice-president everyone knew, respected and for some, feared.

"I know that Kaicho-sama isn't too subtle about the abundance of her... assets, but don't you think she at least - for all that she's done for Kaimu High, deserves a more flattering nickname?" Horoko chimed in, her eyes narrowed slightly behind her wire-rimmed glasses as they glimmered ominously under the lighting, a thin and supercilious smile crossing her lips. Ritsuko however, reacted a lot more intensely, and before either of them knew it, the Taoist had gone right up to Louie and slapped onto his forehead a paper charm, before breaking into a chant.

"And anyway, my club counts on me for guidance so I can't keep abandoning them for silly complaints about rival schools. I mean are we really so different that this is necessary? It bring bad omens onto our school and affects the spiritual peace of the students, Dao nyan."

"Oi! You little kyuubi," Louie retorted, "How many times do I need to tell you to cut that charm stuff out, eh?" The footballer in return went up to Ritsuko and pinched her on the cheeks for a good four seconds before letting go, and Horoko couldn't help but stifle a small, girlish giggle, with her hand placed over her mouth so that they wouldn't catch her laughing in such a manner.

"Rits, its obviously been playing on DD's nerves if she's going through all these hassles to deal with Hyakuji. I mean let's face it, how many people have come to Kaimu first as oppossed to starting at Hyakuji and then transferring. Very few." Louie said as he leaned forward on the table, positioning himself between the two girls.

"I can't say I agree entirely with Kaicho-sama's methods though... they're a little too... ruthless for my tastes," Horoko replied, folding her arms over her chest as she leaned back in her seat. "I've always been an advocate of the spirit of fair competition between the two schools, but it seemed that my proposal last month regarding an inter-school Olympics-esque event kinda fell through," Horoko frowned slightly as she said that, still feeling the sting from her proposal not being considered. "But I can't deny the efficiency of her methods, and that's one thing we both see eye-to-eye on. And I suppose expediency takes precedence over ethics at any rate."
