HYAKUJI OF THE COUNTER ATTACK: SCENE 3

The distraction was blaring over the entire school's sound system. And all attempts to make it stop had failed. Although more forceful tactics were about to begin. Fro now the entire staff and student body had moved towards the AV room to investigate the origin of the most annoying sound in history...

The path to the point on their map was now clear. all they had to do was get there without being discovered, attacked, or beaten to a pulp. Luckily they had a team, a plan, and resources. It was time for PHASE TWO TO BEGIN.

Alyssa peeked out from around the hedge she was hiding behind as the distraction began blaring over the school's system. It was loud, unexpected, and throwing Kaimu's student body into a panic. She grinned wolfishly, baring her canines. Perfect. The school's cooking teacher looked behind her at her group of assembled students. Zephel and Meglumar from her homeroom, Hiroto from her second period class, and three more students she had only met today--Chizu, Sarah, and Brandon. It was an interesting team to be sure, and if she had her way, the perfect team to get the job done.

"Showtime, boys and girls!" she barked, her expression growing serious as she jumped out from behind the hedge and started running to their target. "Follow me!"

* * *

"Oi, don't you think you're taking this a little too seriously, sensei?" muttered Chizu under her breath, standing up and running a hand through her hair. She was a little worried about not being with Damon, since he seemed like a loose cannon today, but she hoped Star would keep him in check. She sighed, closing her eyes and shaking her head. When she opened them, her eyes were determined, and there was a grin on her face as a rush of wind blew her hair back.

"Well, whatever! Let's do this!" she said, running out and following Alyssa.

Hiroto pulled out his wooden katana, putting it into a locked position. He pulled out 7 runes, cutting his arm slightly, letting the blood run over all 7. He tied them to the wound, making sure that they were secure, before moving after Alyssa. As he hoped the hedge fence, "Come on out my comrade."

A large, red wolf appeared, massive fangs bared, and ready to protect Hiroto. It ran after him, as Hiroto ran mainly towards the left of Alyssa. His left arm was cooling down, as the runes reached their set temperature. He smiled, knowing that this is gonna be a blast. "Maybe I should have brought the falcon out too..."

He doubted that he'd have a chance to bring out another animal now that they were on the move. He frowned, and decided to speak up. "Mrs. Alyssa, I'll hold off the first encounter we make. It'll give me some good practice, I'll send my wolf on without me."

whatcha gonna do?
Sarah grinned and followed Alyssa. She fiddled with her gemstone and pressed it several times causing a rather beautiful sword to slide out of it.

"Do not worry...I have your back!" she then began to grin again

Brandon followed his group silently, but he was filled with the excitement he had feared earlier. The noise made by the distraction team made the adrenaline flow through his veins, causing his body to tremble in anticipation. The only thing that kept him from flying off the handle was the main objective: a low profile was a necessity, and Brandon was all too willing to comply. He left his arm in its normal state, for it was far too early for him to reveal his tricks.
"Alright, lead the way!" he said before grinning.

Meglumar followed along, silent. He was somewhat grateful to be in this group, if stealth was important. Star had the subtlety of a truck covered in Christmas lights blaring music while running over glass tables and dropping gravel behind itself. Still, considering that her job was distraction, she'd probably do a great job.

It was strange to see his homeroom teacher of all people being in on this prank. Well, no matter. He glanced at his compatriots, noting a HEAVY emphasis on close range combat. Yeah...This was going to be interesting. H decided not to bring out his weapon quite yet, considering how it usually was accompanied with a bright flash of light. Best not to give away their position in case somebody was here.

"I am with you guys." Zephel said running after his fellow classmates. As he ran the canteen opened .

Moving his hand behind his back he would draw the water out of the canteen running toward the school closely behind his classmates. The he ran so that the water wave like a ribbon behind him as he ran. He hope this would go over smoothly and be a bonding experience for him.

"Lets show them how it is done." He said quietly but so his teammates could hear him.

IZUNAAAA DROP!

"H-hold it right there!" A voice called from seemingly nowhere. Without warning, a figure suddenly popped into existence in front of them that hadn't been there a moment ago looking awkwardly shy and uncomfortable. "Um...geeze, this is really silly..You guys can't go any further now! I'm supposed to stop you! Also this is kind of illegal I think, so I might just call the police or something?" Her feet curved inward slightly as her arms fell casually behind her back. "I'm Ritsuko by the way! I guess we should fight now or something? I mean, if you want to..."

A figure moved out from the shadows, without so much as a sound, He wasn't making any effort to hide himself, though. He had his arms folded across his chest as he shook his head. These Hyakuji bumpkins really were trying to do something to their school. This was ridiculous. How could they hope to beat some of Kaimu's best on home soil? Such a thing was truly an example of why Hyakuji was nothing more than second rate.

He gave his fellow student a courteous nod and a bow, before moving beside her. He cracked his fingers and nodded with what he said. He held his hand out to the group of trespassers and signaled for them to stop, his hand flat.

NICE DRIVE!
"My my, you are quite the teacher," Hiro Tsukasa mumbled to himself as he swiped his finger across the screen of the iphone in his hand. Something just hadn't been right about the entire situation. Jameson had asked for one too many favors and withheld just enough information to make Hiro become overly suspicious.

Thus, like any good teacher, he followed along after his students to figure out what was going on. He had arrived just a few moments after the main group, crouched at the edge atop one of the nearby buildings that held classrooms; and soon enough to hear the admission that his fellow teacher had a rather interesting facebook page. It was while doing the scholarly thing of studying said page and also keeping tabs on the team that remained outside that the Supernatural Studies teacher overheard someone clearing their voice directly behind him.

Alarmed, but well knowing what this meant he turned around slowly, still crouched, to face whoever had discovered him, but instead was greeted with a face full of bounce. Surprised, Hiro stumbled back from the person and scooted away closer to the edge of the building; ultimately gaining full sight of his opponent.

"Stalking around Kaimu's campus late at night and doing lewd things," the woman spoke in disgust as she crossed her arms slowly, "I could report you..." There was something unnerving about her presence almost immediately. Hiro wasn't certain but he felt it was her piercing red eyes. Glancing below, he noticed a pair of Kaimu students had engaged those from Hyakuji.

"You guys obviously knew we were coming," Hiro replied cutting straight to the point as he stood up and pocketed his iphone, "So let's skip all the dancing around with words. Hiro Tsukasa, Hyakuji's Supernatural Studies Teacher."

A wicked smirk worked its way across the woman's face as she began to laugh softly, "How very interesting. Reina Kurosagi, Kaimu's Supernatural Studies Teacher. I also happen to be the advisor for Student Council. Mr. Tsukasa, I believe this is what we call fate."

"Why are you doing all this?" Hiro asked insistently and then pointed to the people below, "And attacking them so suddenly. They're only trying to pay things back in kind. Why all the aggression towards Hyakuji?"

"It's not my place to answer because it's not my plan," Reina answered with a smirk, "I'm merely trying to be a good teacher and support my students in all their endeavors. You feel the same way, right?" Hiro scoffed as he looked away slowly. Even if he didn't want to admit it, there was truth in what she was saying. Time and again Hyakuji had faced issues that were so clearly marked: heroes and villains, good versus evil.

But this time was different. Who was responsible for all these problems and what was their motivation? Could they really place the blame on people just doing what was natural and that, if they tables were turned, they would probably be doing as well? It was too much to consider.

"You're surprisingly perceptive," Hiro admitted with a laugh, "If our schools weren't at each others throats then I'd ask you out for dinner."

"I know you would," Reina added as her eyes narrowed studying him carefully, "I know plenty about you. What spell caster with even a vague connection to the greater magical community hasn't heard of Hiro Tsukasa? Hiro Tsukasa, of Fairy Tail. Hiro Tsukasa, Abandoner of the Tower of Fang. Hiro Tsukasa, The Womanizer. That's why I also know I'm the one person in the world that can defeat you."

"I'd love to see how that plays out," Hiro answered as he took a readied stance, "But the students come first today so I'm just going to end this really fast!"

Without warning an explosion of magical energy erupted around Hiro burning red in color. It was that spell. His trademark spell. DRAGON SLAVE! Laughing slowly, Reina unfolded her arms as her eyes flashed with magical energy and she took up the same pose as him.

Darkness beyond the twilight, crimson beyond blood that flows.
Darkness beyond the twilight, crimson beyond blood that flows.

Hiro suddenly stopped the chant in shock. As he began to speak so too did Reina and her own aura of magical energy had emerged rivaling his own. It was nigh impossible to master Dragon Slave; Hiro had only achieved it with a bit of luck. Could there really be another caster so close by with mastery of it?

Buried in the flow of time, in your great name here I make a vow to darkness.
Buried in the flow of time, in your great name here I make a vow to darkness.

It continued, Kaimu's Supernatural Studies Teacher was mimicking Hiro's spell movement for movement and word for word exactly in time with him. Even if she had some exceptional skill at learning spells by seeing them cast there was no way to read his movements and incantation fast enough to act in time.

To the fools who stand before us, merge thine strength and mine to deliver destruction to all equally!!
To the fools who stand before us, merge thine strength and mine to deliver destruction to all equally!!

He would just have to roll with it. Either it was a bluff or some power he had never encountered before. Regardless, he would simply have to have faith that his own magical powers could overpower her.

DRAGON SLAVE!!!
DRAGON SLAVE!!!

All at once, both teacher thrusted forth both hands as massive beams of pure blazing magical energy blasted forth. Since they had both been cast at perfectly the exact same time the two blasts of energy met dead center between the two mages and the spells clashed pushing back and forth at one another trying to envelop the other and race towards its target. Gritting his teeth, Hiro Tsukasa tried to hold out the spell and push back while Reina Kurosagi laughed cheerfully at the situation and held her ground.

This was perhaps the first notice any of the students below would have of the events transpiring on the nearby rooftop. Amid their own struggles a loud thunderclap could be heard of the two Dragon Slaves meeting and anyone glancing off in that direction would see a rather impressive light show despite not knowing what was going on.

Alyssa stopped abruptly as Ritsuko and Didier appeared in front of them, signaling with one hand for the students to stop behind her. Her eyes narrowed, one of her hands hanging loosely at her sides. The Hyakuji teacher looked relaxed, but what Ritsuko and Didier couldn't see was that her hands were hovering very close to the location of some of her hidden knives.

She didn't want to fight against kids if she could help it. Alright, so maybe she did want to take a crack at the Kaimu jerks that had messed up her homeroom class's festival, but attacking a shy blond kid was not how she imagined it. And Hyakuji was in enough trouble without adding a lawsuit. But if the kids wanted to fight...against two of them? Her students would be able to handle it. Her eyes flicked over to the four students Jameson had assigned as "pawns". Yamamura Chizu had a reputation for being tough, and she knew Meglumar and Zephel's abilities. And Brandon had a transforming arm...

A thunderclap suddenly sounded, making Alyssa look up. The sky was clear. She could even see the stars. She frowned, her fist clenching. There was a light show somewhere in the distance. She had a very bad feeling about this...

"Chizu! Brandon! Take care of this! Everyone else with me!" ordered Alyssa, sprinting the last few feet towards Ritsuko and Didier. She jumped into the air, clearing the short cat girl easily and landing crouched on the other side, steel glinting in her clenched fists from the two knives she had drawn. Alyssa ran off towards the target.

~ * ~ * ~

Those lights...

Chizu tore her eyes away from the light show, frowning as Alyssa ran off. Strange lights in the distance never meant anything good, and a thunderclap when there wasn't any lightning usually meant that somebody was using some powerful attacks. But until whatever it was showed up, there wasn't much she could do, except to deal with the threat in front of them. "You got it, sensei!" she said, nodding at Alyssa's command.

She unclenched her fists sharply and extended her hands, the wind suddenly flaring up around her. As Alyssa jumped, Chizu sent a blast of wind sweeping under the cooking teacher and straight at Ritsuko and Didier, in case they got any ideas about trying to stop the rest of the group.

Hiroto frowned when his teacher ordered the other students to hold the enemy off, but kept running after her. He slowed down as he ran, covering the rear of the group, as he pulled out 7 more runes. He kneeled down for a moment, placing these in the same wrapping as the other 7, letting them soak up the blood also. He smiled to himself as a large blood red falcon appeared. "Go, protect the Mrs. Alyssa, I'll be right behind you."

The falcon took off after the teacher, with the red wolf following. Hiroto got up, and ran after them. Still wishing that he could have stayed for the fight.

Zephel halted behind his teammates when a Neko girl appeared. The moment Zeph laid eyes on her he wanted to have a good spar. Then a young male appeared his beauty seemed even with his strength. He was trying to act so tough by cracking his knuckles. Even if he was strong we could have easily out numbered him but that was not the plan. His eye shifted back to the Neko girl he wondered what her power was. But his thoughts were interrupted by a clap of thunder. He looked in the direction of the sound and saw an amazing light show being displayed. He could feel an overwhelming power coming from that direction as well. He tore his eyes away from the light when the leader of their team gave her orders. He weaved around Chizu and leaped over the Kaimu students with ease and followed his homeroom teacher/leader very closely awaiting any order given to him.

With the scene playing out, Brandon took off his jacket and rolled back his right sleeve. His arm's disguise fell upon his command, which revealed its gray, muscle-like form. Brandon eyed the girl with strange ears and the quiet man. Judging how they approached the group, Brandon assumed that the two were aware of their arrival.
"Thanks for the greeting, miss," replied Brandon. "However, I'll have to rudely decline your request along with everyone else."
Brandon's right hand started to morph into its Grip Form. His fingers made a sick cracking noise as they morphed into four, large fingers. The size of his hand increased as well, which was accompanied by more popping and cracking. And yet the whole process seemed to be painless for Brandon, who was no longer smiling. Fatal or not, a battle between power users was serious to Brandon. With the transformation process complete, he flexed his hand several times.
"Sorry for taking so long, miss," he said to Chizu.
