Jonny watched on in awe as the metal rose up to form the mecha, taking a shape far more uniformed and heroic than its counterpart, even if the materials were the same. He wondered how exactly Seth had managed to do that though, given he never displayed such abilities previously. "Selene-san, Jonny-kun! Come over this way! We have the guy who sorta caused all this under watch, and now Seth's going to fight the force behind this whole thing in his own mecha! Follow us this way before things get out of control!" Yuki's voice came from above as Jonny got to his feet, nodding to the girl atop her flying feline. He sped across the factory floor, arriving a little ahead of Nora once it became obvious what the landmark here was. Specifically, Franky the Flamengo in a cage. "So you're the feared crime lord eh? You're a lot shorter than I imagined." He commented, Franky going red in the face at the comment. "Just you wait kid! Once I get outta here, yo-EEP!" Franky's threatening was cut short as Nora snarled, and he backed up in the cage, like the trapped rat he was. Looking at the battle towering above them, Jonny couldn't help but ask a question. "Okay, so how do we turn this in our favour?" The Architect looked on as the second construct rose, the boy demonstrating a surprising aptitude for the powers now bestowed upon him, seeing as he could build something as such within so little a time frame of ownership. All it did though was serve to infuriate the Architect further. Eons had been spent getting used to the rules enforced upon him - he would not allow himself to lose a realm to this welp. Silent, but with a glare that would kill weaker willed beings, the Architect raised his cane. He clasped a hand around its end, his hands splitting apart as the cane's form was altered to reveal a blade. Whilst mostly an aesthetic, it would allow him to focus his remaining power far better. This was reflected in his creation, which brought a hand to its chest, bits of metal jutting out to form what was visibly the hilt of a weapon. "I shall show you what happens when a mortal tries to face that which he cannot comprehend." His booming voice echoed as the hilt was drawn, the weapon turning out to be none other than a sword. The blade was forged from the conveyor belts that had been so prevalent, the edge sparking as treads whirred into life around it. "Have at thee!" The Architect's construct charged, each step shaking the factory as it raised the sword on high, the Architect directing its movements from on high. The massive blade then came hurtling down at Seth, which would also tear his creation in two if the sword wasn't stopped. |

Woah. Even when he's standing at the top of the half-giant mecha towering the rest of the area his opponent drawing out the sword from it's chest was actually kinda intimidating. Now where have he seen that move before... Urh. No time. Focus on fighting first. He focused hard, relaying his mind and willpower into the half-giant mechanical construct, commanding it to move accordingly as how he wants. The mecha warrior bent it's knees, lowering its form down to a fighting stance, just like how Seth would usually do when he gets into a fight. He staggered on his stage, nearly losing his balance and falling off as his mechanical construct rumbled around. It was kinda incredible how such a huge construction could be commanded and moved around by only his will. Perhaps he could do this after all? Well, he's gonna find out soon enough! Seth narrowed his eyes as his gargantuan opponent rushed ahead towards him, his sword high on the air ready to be brought down to cleave him and his mecha clean in half. And it's moving impossibly fast for a construct it's size! Heck, he wouldn't be sliced in half. He'd be smashed to a pulp! In great urgency to avoid the potential death blow he forced his mind into the half-giant mecha, commanding it to jump aside out of the way! ...!!! ... IT'S SLOOOOWWWW!!! The mecha responded to his orders about a second after he gave it out. Sure, one second might not be much, but in a fight one second could mean life and death. Lagging behind his thoughts his mecha dug its deep into the ground and leaped aside, avoiding a fatal blow that would have otherwise tore it apart like a karate chop through a stack of bricks. Yes, those stuffs are purely aesthetic and have no real combat value whatsoever, but it makes a perfect comparison for some mecha ripping scene. Too bad though, his survived a fatal blow. Pay attention. He survived a FATAL BLOW. That doesn't mean he had managed to completely avoid the attack. Due to the lagging of response from his mecha he couldn't evade it fast enough, leaving it's shoulder to take the full brunt of the attack. The shock from the impact sent the entire mecha shaking, and Seth was literally holding on to dear life as he grabbed hold on a single piece of metal he just made jutting out from his foothold. With a force that was intended to rip apart a metal torso all the way along the middle from head to crotch, it made quick work with one of its shoulder, completely separating the arm from the rest of the body. The arm fell off, disintegrating into hundreds of gigantic metal slabs that it was constructed out of, cascading on top of the little caged pink bird. Seth's mecha staggered out of control, threatening to topple over the others (wherever they are). Out of pure willpower however, he managed to make it stand its ground, refusing to falter, refusing to fall. In retaliation, the other hand still intact shot out, grabbing the hand of its opponent that held the saw-sword. Seth tried his best to stay on his two feet above the giant walking stage. Maybe he needs something to anchor him to the mecha... His eyes suddenly caught sight of Selene, Yuki, and Jonny, all of whom had somehow reunited. He should probably tell them to stay away from this place. It could get dangerous. Oh who was he kidding, it's already dangerous, what with two giant mecha duking it out. But he realized he probably can't do this himself. Manfred had far more proficiency in controlling the mecha as opposed to him who was newly introduced to his newfound new power. So... "Selene, Yuki, Jonny!!! Think you can probably help me a bit?! RPGs, rocket launchers, grenades, find anything you can use! I don't think I can take him down all by myself!" |

Yuki's face was struck with a strange combination of terror and anticipation. It was like watching the world's greatest action movie except it starred one of her friends and if he didn't come out on top, he and the rest of the audience was going to be killed. She really needed to learn how to turn people down if they asked her to help them out with a "journalism project" as this was anything but. She unconsciously gripped the crap out of the rifle she was holding onto as she watched Seth narrowly miss the makeshift mecha blade, and even then it still clipped its shoulder. She'd seen plenty of anime that involved robot battles, but surely controlling one of these things for real was a completely different story. How did he know what he was doing? Then again, maybe he didn't know what he was doing... That thought was rather unsettling. If she had a seat she'd be on the edge of it as she gaped wide-eyed at the spectacle before her. Seth was trying to keep everything from falling apart and this resulted in the mechanized pile of metal to stomp around the factory trying to keep its balance. The shower of shrapnel that came down toward the cage was one of the last things Yuki wanted to see coming toward her (frankly you think she'd be used to it by now), but Nora once again came to the rescue and swiped her out of the way, also knocking the gun from her hands. When she looked up from the shield of her guardian she noticed Seth was still hanging on and putting forth an effort. Unfortunately his grand counter-attack was...simply trying to hang onto the other mecha. What good was THAT going to do? "Selene, Yuki, Jonny!!! Think you can probably help me a bit?! RPGs, rocket launchers, grenades, find anything you can use! I don't think I can take him down all by myself!" Seth yelled down to them while he struggled to maintain control of his opponent. "Um...ah..!" Yuki frantically checked the crates around her for some form of upgraded explosive power, trying to recall what a grenade looked like. She pushed off tops of crates, searching at least six different boxes before she found one labeled EXPLOSIVES. Well, that was a good start. She lifted the lid and saw layers of grenades stacked neatly in the box. Laying eyes on this sort of thing immediately made her drawn in her breath and raised her heart rate. It would be pretty unfortunate if something were to happen and that whole box exploded with her standing next to it. With a shaking hand she reached into the box and extracted the palm-sized explosive, then ran a bit closer to the Architect's mecha. She positioned her feet, extended her hand behind her ear, and used the force of her entire body to launch the grenade at the machine. The small container of death flew threw the air, made contact with the arm of the target, and... ...bounced off and fell to the ground without much more than a few tinking sounds. "It didn't work! Are the grenades faulty?" Yuki questioned, feeling rather let down that her contribution to the fight was a dud (no pun intended). The grenade itself was perfectly fine. Apparently no one told the girl you have to pull the pin before you throw it if you want it to blow up. Oh, sweet Yuki. "A" for effort and enthusiasm, "F" for...everything else. |

"Seth!" Selene exclaimed as Seth's construct took a blow from the enemy mecha, a sword strike that very nearly tore it apart if it wasn't for a last-minute evasion that took an arm off instead of splitting it in two. While power-wise the two of them are now evenly-matched it was clear that The Architect had far more experience handling his powers. "Selene, Yuki, Jonny!!! Think you can probably help me a bit?! RPGs, rocket launchers, grenades, find anything you can use! I don't think I can take him down all by myself!" Seth called out to the rest, clearly aware that he wasn't quite in control of the situation. It would take everyone of them working together as a team in order to prevail... Yuki acted first as she opened a nearby cache of grenades, before chucking one of them at the factory titan's leg, only to have it bounce off harmlessly. "It didn't work! Are the grenades faulty?" the pink-haired girl asked. "Yuki-chan! You didn't pull out the safety pin," Selene replied as she picked up a grenade, pointing to the safety pin, recognizable from the ring-shaped handle for using one's finger to remove it located at the top of the explosive device, giving her friend a crash course on using a hand grenade. "Take the ring by your finger and pull to remove the safety pin, but don't forget to keep your hand around the grenade before throwing it," the corporate heiress continued, pointing to the safety handle of the grenade. "Once the safety pin is out, the handle will fly off and start the fuse, which typically has a delay of oh, six seconds before the thing blows." "That's why I'd prefer using this," Selene commented as she scooped up a M72 LAW that had been strewn onto the floor from a smashed weapon crate, extending the launcher tube. Meanwhile, the summoned Valkyrie picked up a few C4 charges from another explosives crate, drawing Selene's attention to the warrior. The Valkyrie nodded before taking off on her swift and silent strides, bounding over obstacles towards the Architect's construct, which would be hopefully busy with Seth's construct, clearly looking to plant the explosive charges on the factory titan while it was busy fighting Seth's construct. Now all they need was coordination; Selene decided to hold her fire for the time being, waiting for the Valkyrie to reach the Architect's mecha and plant the explosives - once that is done, all that was needed would be another shot from an explosive weapon to create an even bigger explosion! |

Jonny had figured that even with Seth having what either did or didn't count as a fully fledged giant robot, odds were they still weren't going to win this unless they did something quick. Seth had these powers for all of maybe... 3, maybe 5 minutes? It had taken Jonny months of practice to get used to using the ability to simply run fast. Who knew how long it might take to get good at this kind of level. His concerns were apparently well founded, as in simply trying to dodge the Architect's strike, an entire arm of Seth's ended up being outright torn off. Any closer, and that might have downright killed the teen. Hell, it had obviously come pretty close regardless. And then there was all the falling metal. Jonny sidestepped much of it as Franky screamed out, the metal bouncing off his cage like raindrops on tarmac. Coming to a halt, Jonny almost began to move again as he saw Seth's mecha stumble backwards, looking like it would fall on top of them. However, it stopped before such could occur, Seth managing to even clutch his enemy's sword to help with staying up. "Selene, Yuki, Jonny!!! Think you can probably help me a bit?! RPGs, rocket launchers, grenades, find anything you can use! I don't think I can take him down all by myself!" Thinking on it, that sort of thing could do very well. If they could break down the Architect's mecha at critical points, even with one arm, Seth's mecha would have the advantage. Yuki found herself a load of grenades from one of the crates marked as explosives, making a decent throw towards the metal construct. Unfortunately, the grenade did just about nothing, instead only going 'ping' off all the factory hardward. One had to wonder how one exactly went without knowing something as obvious as that you had to pull a pin on a grenade before it did anything. Otherwise soldiers would have them exploding on their jackets WAY before they got into combat. Though if all they needed was six seconds... he could use that. Jonny rushed over to the crate Yuki had discovered, and began to pull out each layer of grenades, laying them out on the floor. He looked to the Architect's construct, noting how - due to the fact it was made from bits and pieces - there were plenty of holes in its structure, even after reconstruction. Add in his ability to perceive things at higher rates than normal humans, and even at this distance, he figured he could get in at least a few right in the heart of a few limbs. Hell, if the grenades simply hit at the speeds he'd be tossing them at, they'd probably dig in anyway. Back with the Architect, even if he hadn't managed to quite kill the lad, making his little work lose an arm was progress. The mortal reached out, grasping his enemy's hand to try and maintain some feeble level of balance, and prevent itself from crushing the other fools. How quaint. Using the opportunity, the Architect decided to pull back the arm which the opposing construct was holding, bring it back upright. However, it also brought it in range, and the Architect threw out his creation's spare fist. Again and again, trying to pound the metal titan on a its limbless side. "Fire in the hole!" There came a yell from one of the other mortals, followed by several dozen 'pinging' sounds against the lower half of the Architect's construct. And was that the valkyrie? Why was it not striking out with its sword even as it sped around the construct? And what was that girl ho- "Annoying little bas-" Half the construct went boom. |

BOOM!!! A massive explosion came from his opponent's construct, causing it to lose it's balance. Seth took this as a "CHANCE!" He managed to think of something. Since he had only gotten this power recently, his mecha's reaction lags waaay behind his will. This would put him at a serious disadvantage in a heated high-octane fight. So to counteract this, he thought up of a loophole, or whatever you call it. He can't let himself be driven around. HE'LL drive the fight to his liking! With himself pulled upright thanks to Manfred, he managed to gain a stable enough footing to launch a counterattack. Forcefully he pulled back his hand holding his opponent's sword, extending his opponent's arm to it's full length, and- CRAASSHH!!! -launched a knee kick upwards at the elbow joint, hoping to completely snap it from the whole body. He'll let his allies do the rest of the work crippling him down. If he had to stay on this wobbling stage for a few seconds longer, there's a chance that he'll spend the rest of the semester in bed, trying to get his head straight and calibrate his balancing system and actually try to determine up from down and left from right. This needs to end quick. And for that... He spun on the spot, facing and looking at Manfred directly in his eyes. In one swift motion, he raised a G18 up in front of him, training it right between his eyes. "HASTA LA VISTA, BAYBEH!!!" You do not underestimate a meta-virus with hyper-perception ability. The trigger was squeezed, and the propellant exploded, sending forth hot expanding gas that pushes the bullet through and out of the barrel. Flames erupted from the nozzle, and a single hot lead spewed forth, zipping at supersonic speed going along it's predicted trajectory straight towards the skull of Manfred von Karma the Architect. |

Yuki had little experience in battle, but she did at least have some common sense. The grenade throw from earlier had been a dud, and in a moment of panic she'd forgotten to pull the pin. Surely somewhere in the brain of hers she knew pulling the pin was necessary, but at the same time she wasn't sure how long it'd take for it to explode once she did, and losing her hand over it wasn't worth the gamble. She watched as the other members of the group worked to arm the Architect's mecha, and she'd seen enough action movies to realize if they weren't going to light a long fuse for the stuff to explode, they'd need some sort of firepower to trigger the explosion. She had to contribute something to this battle, and while Nora was keeping an eye on Franky (enjoying his reaction to her, cowering on the far side of the cage), she ran over to an open crate of weapons and pulled out the first one she could lay her hands on. Although she'd never know the difference, she ended up grabbing an M203 grenade launcher. Yuki had no idea how to check if it was loaded or not, but she was lucky to have her eyes lay on the labeled safety mechanism and switched it to the FIRE position. Swinging the gun to point up at where some of the C4 was attached to the metallic monster, she waited until everyone was out of the way and she got the command from Jonny. "Fire in the hole!" Expecting a bunch of small rounds to fire out of her weapon, she pulled the trigger once and was knocked slightly back as the grenade shot forward from the barrel. Although she closed her eyes for half a second in surprise, the grenade somehow made it up to its target and helped ignite the gigantic BOOM that forced her to cover her ears and duck for cover. She looked up from her protection from the flying debris--one piece lodging itself right into the box she was hiding behind--and saw that although the bomb went off, the machine was still standing...but barely. The girl looked on with hands gripping the crate, heart racing in nervous anticipation, fearing more for Seth's life than the prospect of getting crushed by a giant mecha. Her eyes opened wide once the gun was pulled and he trained it right at the Architect's head, the shot ringing out even amongst the sound of falling factory parts. It was likely he wasn't going to be standing for long with the uneasiness of his platform, so in a feat of courage and resolve, she ran over to Nora and jumped on her back. Franky would be fine in the cage by himself, he wasn't going anywhere. "We need to get Seth-kun out of there!" Yuki said with a sense of urgency. With little acknowledgement Nora shot up into the air, Yuki gripping the guardian's fur to prevent herself from sliding off. The two reached a level just above the top of the two battling mechs, waiting for an opportunity to swoop in and evacuate the boy before he crashed to the ground with the rest of his creation whether or not the bullet met its target. |

"Hang in there, Seth!" Selene called out as Seth hung on for dear life, while her Valkyrie appeared to have gone by unnoticed by the Architect, allowing the summoned warrior maiden to close in and latch onto the enemy construct's leg to plant the C4 charges, stealthily making good her getaway once the deed was done, while Jonny got down to strewing hand grenades over the floor in the path of the enemy construct, while Yuki readied a M203 grenade launcher, which given her earlier experience with the hand grenades Selene wondered if she knew how to handle that one. "Fire in the hole!" Came Jonny's heads-up, followed by the pinging noises which could only be the sound of many safety handles flying off. It would be a good idea to not be anywhere nearby! It was around this time when Yuki fired the grenade launcher, her shot somewhat miraculously hitting the area on the enemy construct's leg where the Valkyrie had planted the C4 charges. "Take cover!" Selene shouted just before the deafening explosion overwhelmed her senses, the corporate heiress throwing herself to the floor behind a stack of strongboxes as hunks of debris came raining down, with the Valkyrie rejoining her side in the nick of time to lay prone over her mistress, sheltering her from any flying debris that might come their way. "And I'll capture the leader," Selene added after Yuki and Nora got down to evacuating Seth, the corporate heiress raising her rocket launcher which she had yet to fire and taking aim at the Architect, ready to try and take him down if Seth's bullet failed to do the job! |

His construct was falling, its ability to stand compromised by the very weapons he had created this realm to construct. Its arm fell far from it, the sword it had once wielded smashing into one of the walls, in a manner familiar to british legend. The Architect had a thousand words which he wished to scream out. Words of a tongue long forgotten by man, and at full pronunciation, would tear asunder their small minds. But they were lost to him, as it seemed was this fight. The bullet was merely confirmation. In his distraction, he had forgotten to undo his form for the brief instant required to avoid the shot. Something so simple, so infantile, and so necessary. And he had failed to do it. The body fell to the ground from the momentum of the bullet, as the construct beneath it also fell apart, metal falling to the ground once more. And not rising back up to continue the fight. The contract, where it was, would shine for a brief instant, as strange golden fire burnt away at the Architect's name, leaving only Seth's. Seemed there could only be one - and that had been decided. Jonny rose from the position he had taken behind some of the remaining crates lying around, rushing over to where the Architect's body lay amongst the debris. He couldn't believe that Seth had actually fired a shot like that. Even if this guy had been out to kill them, he didn't think they should really... ... Wait... Why wasn't there any blood? Jonny jumped back as the Architect's body arm suddenly shot outwards, before reaching for the cane beside it. The Architect stood, seeming unphased by the weapon in its skull, instead pulling at his vest a little. There was an almost nauseating series of muscles movements as the bullet eventually came loose, the Architect giving a small sigh as he put it away in his pocket. The Architect broke away, flesh into fibre, fibre into atoms, and the atoms, into nothing. He was gone, without another word. And yet things still felt uneasy. "Well... I guess we beat him." Jonny blinked at what had happened, feeling the air where the Architect had once been standing. There was a sudden pitter patter of someone running, and the elevator closing shut. He turned, looking at the cage, seeing that it was no longer there as a result of the Architect's defeat. "Franky that little..." He scowled briefly, before looking around. They had foiled his operation he supposed, and it wasn't like he could ever come back to it if he wanted - not with Seth in control. "Everybody alright?" He asked, as he got to checking that the camera was alright too. Where Franky had been holed up in his cage, there would now be lying his jacket, somewhat soaked by blood from his wound - the same blood that now trailed to the elevator. Inside the jacket would be two things: a ticket to Hawaii, and the deed to the Donut shop above ground. Whoever held the latter would by law, be the owner. |

"What the-HEY! V, where have you been?!" Messing about with your brain of course. I think I messed up some stuff in there, but no worries, it's all fixed. Believe me in that. "No wonder I wasn't feeling so good just now," Well, that's all good and all, but first figure out what's gonna stop us from hitting the ground and turning us to a pile of sludgy red mess? "Oh yea..." Immediately after that both of them gave a loud scream of terror as they plummeted to the ground at high speed, with no visible safety device like a net or a cushion or something under them whatsoever- Flump~! The soft and hairy landing was quite unexpected by the two of them. They felt around just to make sure they didn't somehow managed to land on a grassy field or something. It was fleshy, furry, big, and for some reason the area was quite small for a grassy meadow. Seth raised his head and blinked as he was suddenly treated to a bird's eye view of the now-ruined factory. He turned around, realizing that he was in fact riding something. Nora, to be more exact. Looks like Yuki managed to come to save his ass from being turned to bloody jello just in time. "Oh, hey," He waved his hand from his half-hanging position. Precarious position indeed, considering the fact that they were airborne. "Thanks for the save, I guess," Might wanna voice out a little bit more gratitude in that? |

Yuki cringed and covered her face with her hands, unable to watch whether or not the bullet made contact with the Architect's head. The girl anticipated such a strong monster being able to dodge something like a bullet, but the antithesis seemed to be the case. When she opened her eyes, all she saw was a body falling to the ground (she had to do a double-take to make sure it wasn't Seth) and the opposing mecha crumbling into its individual parts once again. A giant wave of relief washed over her as it seemed they had finally won, but this feeling was soon overrun with panic. "Ohh...hurry, hurry!" As Seth suddenly fell from his own mountain of metal, Yuki tugged on Nora to get her to dive quickly to his rescue. Fortunately he was caught after only falling a few meters and the impact of the boy hitting the spirit guardian caused her to grumble in discontent. The fact that he was clutching onto her fur to stay on did not help matters. "Seth-kun! Are you okay??" Yuki cried, turning around so she could grab hold of him by his shirt to steady his position and keep him from slipping off. During her first few trips on Nora she'd tumbled off, but luckily this was when she was very little and the guardian knew better than to fly fifty feet in the air. But this was life or death, so they couldn't apply those "beginner rider rules" to everyone. Falling off in this scenario would be a bit more than a bump on the head. "Thanks for the save, I guess," came his response. "Of course, we couldn't let you fall!" Yuki replied with a bright smile and dispelling shake of the head. Maybe she should've demanded a little more gratitude, but she was too busy being preoccupied with the fact that things seemed to be drawing to a close. The three carefully came back to ground level once the mechs finished falling apart, and the pink-haired girl released the boy from her grip after she was sure they were on solid ground. Her heart was pounding in her chest and she was slightly uneasy from the whole chain of events. They were chased and shot at by gun-wielding mafia, attacked by live factory equipment, somehow ended up in a mecha battle, all just to take some pictures for a school journalism club. Yuki really needed more hobbies in her life. She rejoined Selene and Jonny who seemed to be in fine condition despite the hardships they went under, but noticed that Franky was missing from his cage. "Wh-where'd he go?!" A bout of guilt started to creep into her since it had been her assigned duty to watch him, but surely saving Seth from a most ominous death was more important than keeping tabs on that guy. Besides, what was he going to do now without his magic factory? She caught sight of the trail of blood leading to the elevator, but unfortunately the doors were already shut and he was likely long gone. Oh well, what would a bunch of kids have done with an adult criminal anyway? She reached a hand through the cage and picked up the man's coat that he likely had to leave behind to fit through the bars. Too bad it was stained, it seemed to be made of nice material and likely would've fit either of the two boys just fine! Inside the jacket was where the real money was (figuratively speaking). She pulled out two pieces of paper and set the bloody coat on the floor. "Hey, he left these behind..." Opening each one, she saw what each was, and was more excited for the plane ticket than the deed to be honest. Unfortunately it was only one ticket, and going by herself to Hawaii wouldn't have been that fun. "It's...the deed to the donut shop. I wonder why he was carrying it? And a plane ticket to Hawaii. What should we do with these?" |

"Did we get him?" Selene wondered as the Architect reeled back, having been clearly shot in the head by Seth. It was hard to believe it was over - how long has it been? An hour? But amidst the ridiculously large and self-reconstructing underground factory and weapons storehouse, battles with gun-toting gangsters and animated factory equipment - and on top of that a boss fight with a mecha-like construct built by the very guy behind it all. It felt like an entire day had passed; and as her survival mechanisms returned to their normal state the corporate heiress simply discarded the rocket launcher she'd intended to use to blow up The Architect with should the gunshot fail to bring him down, the weapon hitting the floor with a clatter as Selene watched the enemy construct crumble before her eyes in a mixture of awe and relief, almost forgetting that Seth was on top of the enemy construct as it began falling apart, until Yuki and Nora made their move and saved the boy from taking the long way down. There was a slight alarm for the corporate heiress at first as the seemingly-slain Architect suddenly rose to his feet - even though the bullet had cleanly blasted through his skull. Or rather, cleanly entered while clearing out a good helping of the guy's brains - or whatever might've passed for a brain - the entrance wound was devoid of any blood or brain matter; seeing how he wasn't human to begin with, perhaps it was a little naive to imagine he could be taken out by a mere bullet to the head? But before the corporate heiress could send her Valkyrie in to attempt to finish what Seth started it soon proved to be nothing more than a false alarm as The Architect disincorporated before her very eyes, his form dissolving and fading away into nothingness? Was he destroyed, or merely banished back to some demonic realm, and would be due to return in time? Not that it was of concern to the English heiress - what mattered most right now was that everyone were not safe and sound, but alive and glorious! "Well... I guess we beat him." Jonny commented, as Selene merely nodded her consent, while the summoned Valkyrie merely stood resolute and silently next to her master with her claymore planted in the ground, keeping an eagle-eyed gaze on any potential trouble lurking around the corner. "I say, and by the skin of our teeth to boot - it's a really close call," Selene added, straightening her clothes - now she needed to get back to the comfort of her dorm or the Frostfire building and take a cold shower, then kick back with nice pot of herbal tea while listening to the best of Beethoven and Vivaldi. The Valkyrie suddenly narrowed her eyes as she snatched up her claymore, turning towards where Franky was originally imprisoned by The Architect, except Franky himself was already gone - the sound of the lift moving; and the trail of blood leading up to it - telling them that it was futile move to pursue him. All that was left at what was once his prison was his bloodied jacket, along with a ticket to Hawaii and the title deed to the donut shop. "Wh-where'd he go?!" "Franky that little..." "One slippery eel, I say," Selene added as Yuki examined the title deed and plane ticket, asking the others for opinions on what to do with them. "Well, I guess I'd be asking - who's interested in running a doughnut shop?" Selene asked; she was hoping someone would at least take up ownership of the donut shop - they do after all have some pretty good donuts and coffee, and truth be told the corporate heiress could use a place such as this (the donut shop, not the underground factory) to have some donuts and a nice Cappucino frappe. Jonny sighed, wondering what exactly he was meant to do now - even with the photos. He couldn't just bring this sort of case to the police now. They'd ask where he got the photos. And like any regular cops could keep a handle on a whole pocket dimension, controlled by Seth no less. In short, Franky was gonna get away, and with nothing to put him away on. That... kinda hampered the mood, he'd admit. And the Architect had almost killed them all until Seth managed to realise whatever trick gave him the power to control this place. He needed to be stronger than this. Otherwise, next time - and given this town, there was almost certainly a next time - they'd all... "It's...the deed to the donut shop. I wonder why he was carrying it? And a plane ticket to Hawaii. What should we do with these?" Jonny looked up with a curious look on his face, before speeding over to where Yuki stood, with the two items in hand. "Well, how else would you think he smuggled materials to and from this place, except by owning the land above it?" Hell, the fact it was a donut shop made it a somewhat smart disguise. Bulk orders hid the heavier weapons, and who in their right mind would expect a land of confectionary to hide a land of firepower? "While I won't take the shop, I am sorta interested in that ticket. It was probably Franky's way out of town. Wonder where he picked it up... and where he would've gone from there." Maybe Franky expected to relax on the tropical island after his deal with the snappily dressed devil was over? He held out an open hand, next to the one in which Yuki held the ticket, clearly asking for it. "Sorry for getting you all caught up in this. I had kinda expected to only get a few photos..." His mind lingered on possible solutions to his first problem, before one popped into his mind. It was a bit risky, but that substitute teacher had gotten it to work... |

One does not simply eat one packet of mee goreng

He shook his head, waving feebly at Jonny. Looks like all the high-octane action scenes he was a part of just now had drained him quite a bit. Okay, quite a bit was an understatement. It drained him a lot. Combined with the fact that V did whatever he did just now to his brain, yeah. Even now he felt like he could black out at any moment. Right, he probably need a break from all this gore-fest. He's been having his insides messed up almost every single day ever since he got here in Hyakuji. ...Maybe the Hawaii Ticket would be useful... Nah. Too much of a hassle to be traveling across the globe for a little relaxation. In fact, he could probably have one right here, right now. Where? "Can I have the deed to the doughnut shop?" ... ...... .........Wait what? "Wait... wait, that's not what I said!" He waved around his hands in front of him, positively denying the very words that came out from his mouth. However the meta-virus inside his head had a different opinion on the doughnut shop. He could feel his mouth moving-... wait, he can't feel it. But he could definitely hear words that he NEVER intended to say came out from his mouth. "I mean to say, that IS what I meant to say. I'll take the deed," "V, please no!" He said, shaking his head violently, futilely trying to shake the meta-virus's consciousness out of his head. "I can't run a doughnut shop! I mean... I'm already working at the WDA..." He's serious about that though. He's not sure how he's gonna balance Arcadia, the WDA, and the doughnut shop all at once. Assuming if he really did take the deed. Now, hold on there, kid. He said, taking his voice to the top level of sternness. It's not like you have the choice whether to take it or not. You HAVE to take it. Right now you're in ownership of an underground pocket dimension that you have complete and total control of. And the only way to access it is through the elevator disguised as the door to the staff area. HOW THE HELL DO YOU KNOW ALL THAT?! So yeah. You owning that shop is kinda mandatory, else people will wonder about a boy moving in a couch to a doughnut shop. "I don't care about all that! But more importantly, where did you get the chance to think through all those stuff anyway?" I'm a genius? Edited by Fin, Apr 2 2011, 01:29 PM.

Dangerously Cheesy.

Yuki stared, completely dumbfounded as Seth had a conversation with himself. She stood holding the two pieces of paper, unconsciously holding them closer to herself as if pegging Seth for being too crazy to run a doughnut shop. Like...literally too crazy. A pile of metal nearby began to settle and suddenly slumped downward with a crash causing the girl to jump back in alarm. Yuki had had enough surprises for one day and was not keen on staying down in this factory any longer than she had to. Even if Seth was now technically the owner and anything "magical" inside should bend to his will, he didn't control Franky's lackeys who were probably still in there somewhere. "Whoever's going to take this thing, can we get out of here please? I'm sure this matter can be discussed at sea level and without doom lurking behind some corner." She didn't wait for the others to respond before she started a brisk walk to the elevator, following the handy trail of blood to find the doors. Nora padded alongside her, still in Giant Mode in case something else popped up. It was going to be a real sight once these kids emerged from the elevator and into the doughnut shop. Yuki, for one, was missing her sweater and only had the remaining tanktop, her clothes were still half wet, her updo was completely unkempt with chunks of hair falling out of place. To top it all off, her hat was missing. That was the most upsetting part of this whole endeavor. Yuki mashed a finger on the UP button and the doors slid open, she and Nora clambering inside and she waving an impatient hand for everyone else to pile in. It was a tight fit with Nora refusing to shrink in size until the doors were properly shut and the elevator was moving (thus meaning the chance of a threat was low), so she compacted herself once more just before the doors opened at the top. The pink-haired girl stepped out with her once-again invisible companion and took a deep breath, breathing in the smell of donuts, sugar, and freedom. Needless to say, people were beginning to stare at the disheveled crew who seemed to appear from no where. |
