"It's not that bad!" He said, throwing the rifle away as the ammo ran out. He was intending to take yet another one out of the box but instead he let himself be dragged off by her away from the crime scene. "You do know I've had worse than this," And anyone who remembered that incident have no reason to deny it. Not that they can, come to think of it. And off they ran, sprinting away as fast as possible from their armed assailant, looking for any means necessary in losing him while dodging any of the leftover 'dead' parts of the living conveyor belts that came their way. They took a few turns and hopped over a few crates before- "Here!" -he yanked her off into a small 'alley' between two gigantic machinery that leads to the other side of the production line. It was a tight fit, allowing only one of them to enter at a time. But hopefully the guy never thought they'd actually go here, and would head straight on ahead thinking they they'd done the same. If he really did realize the duo had taken the small route, he'd be too big to fit through. Of course, it'd be troublesome if he started firing into the small alley instead... He exited the tight-fitting alley, and immediately dropped down to all four, panting. The high speed escape he just took had quite a toll on his body. And the wound on his leg wasn't helping much. "Okay... okay, so... maybe a little rest wouldn't hurt-WOAAH!!!" He yelled out in surprise, reeling back as all of a sudden, it's raining people! Two goons wielding a... Glock, he thinks. It's hard to identify from a distance- "This realm... is MINE. And with it, I shall take my revenge for the scorn you delivered upon me." A booming voice exploded from a distance, reverberating through the enclosed space of the factory making it seem like there's a whole damn more of that all around them. It was a voice akin to a powerful emperor commanding his oceanic-sized army ready to take on the entire world. Ominous, indeed. His eyes shot around looking for the source of the voice, when, at a distance, he saw it. It. ...It... A rumbling sound emanated from the machinery itself, getting louder and louder with every passing seconds. The floor quaked slightly, shaking as though there's an earthquake coming in. This is worrisome. Not only is there an earthquake, but the fact that they're underground makes it even worse. He turned around to Yuki, saying, "We need to get out of here, quick," But before he could continue about looking for Selene and Jonny- GRRRROOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNN!!!!!!! The massive machinery behind them trembled, groaned, and, finally, BOOOMM!!!! It had completely separated itself from the ground, folding into itself as it rose higher and higher into the air, cascading the others down below with dirt and loose nuts and bolts alike. The deafening sound was enough to rival that of a bomb site. Seth's eyes trailed along the production line, and fell on what seemed like the main source of all the trouble. ...Woah. Looks like this whole factory can be transformed into a giant mecha. And that machinery he saw rising up earlier made up one of its arm. Well, no time to be dilly-dallying around, because it looks like someone they know are in danger, judging from the punching motion the mecha. Whoever that was, Jonny or Selene, he was kinda sure they wouldn't stand a chance against something that easily dwarfs even an apartment block. He stood up, rushing over to the two goons before kicking them at their faces HARD, instantly knocking them out. He took both of their weapons. ...Glock 18s. They only have one back in the basement. He's not sure how much a Glock is gonna fare against a giant factory robot (not very well, he presumed), but it's good to know that he's armed. "C'mon!" He said simply as he rapidly made his way towards the main battle arena. |

While the two darted into the extremely narrow space between a bunch of machinery and equipment, Nora stayed out in the open to attack oncoming conveyor constrictors that tried to attack them from overhead. The giant lion tried to remain mobile in the air so the person pursuing them would be less likely to figure out where the two were hiding. Still wielding the rifle Nora had thrown to her, she squeezed past the machines out to the other side where Seth was trying to catch his breath. "Alright, we need to wrap up that leg or you're going to be more of a burden than help." Although it made her uneasy to look at the bullet wound in his leg, Yuki knew that they would have to do something about it (since she knew he wasn't going to take it easy on himself if their previous joint battle was any indication). There was nothing in the area that she could spot immediately to use as a bandage, so she went with the only thing she could think of. "Hold still...I'll do this quickly." Yuki immediately set the gun down and took off her coat, then peeled off her slightly damp sweater (she's wearing a tanktop underneath, so don't get too excited). She frantically began ripping it into a long strip of cloth, realizing that losing a life was a bit more important than losing a sweater. The girl tied it firmly around the boy's leg, and just as she was finishing up tying the knot, two men crashed to the ground nearby, and they were armed. The pink-haired girl immediately felt her heart sink as the color drained from her face upon making visual contact with these two men. It was clear they had hostile intentions (why else would they have guns?), and strangely enough, her first instinct was to reach for the rifle she'd been dragging with her. But she noticed they didn't seem to be moving; had the impact from wherever they came from been enough to kill them? Lucky for the duo their potential firefight would be postponed as the machinery nearby exploded into a mass of upward-moving metal following the creepy resonating sentence from whoever was running this show. The sudden shaking of the ground forced her to lose her balance and topple to the ground, but she was quick enough to grab her coat and hold it up as a mock shield from the raining dirt and bolts. Nora dove back toward the ground since being in the air just then was potentially a bad idea, and also to act on the defensive from the two men in case they sprung to life. Not anticipating the giant boom that accompanied the movement, Yuki clamped her hands over her ears a bit too late and not without some disorientation. Much like a grenade going off in an enclosed space, her vision was suddenly distorted and a loud ringing in her ears drowned out everything else. Despite the transformation of the machine into a mecha, they were apparently not its target. Perhaps it was Jonny or Selene? She saw Seth say something, and might've heard some sort of a muffled phrase, but she was able to see him take off in the direction of...great. The giant mechanical monster. Nora helped the girl to her feet by hefting her up with an arm in her mouth, Yuki holding her jacket in one hand and picking up the gun with the other. Slowly her hearing and vision was restored for the most part and she ran after Seth, slowly at first, and eventually moving at her normal speed. The closer they got to the machine, the more concerned she grew. This thing was a nightmare--how were they going to make it alive out of this one? Once they had made it to the site of the battle, Yuki looked up and recognized a familiar figure in the thick of things. "Selene-san!" the girl gasped. She refrained from yelling for fear that the distraction might cause the girl to lose track of her battle and get hit. Nora wasn't going to be too helpful against a giant robot unless she could do something like evacuate people or disconnect wires to power it down, but Yuki had a feeling this thing was a little more than just a remote controlled toy. That being said, she glanced down at the firearm in her hands with a sigh. "This probably won't do us much good..." She was actually rather okay with that, given she couldn't point to the safety on the damn thing if she wanted to. |

Not realizing the fate that had befallen their boss, Franky's goons remained in hot pursuit of the corporate heiress, who had till now pretty much forgotten about their existence as she tried to stay out of the way and let her Valkyrie do what she does best. The sound of automatic gunfire warned Selene that she didn't merely have animated machinery to deal with as bullets impacted against the walls and machinery, the corporate heiress and her summoned Valkyrie spinning around to face a gun-wielding thug who fired another spray of lead with his Glock 18 at the armored warrior, only to have them ricochet harmlessly off the flat edge of her claymore as she swung her blade protectively. Casting his machine pistol aside in favor of a more effective weapon as he retrieved a Steyr AUG A3 from a crate next to him. Stepping up to her opponent's challenge, the Valkyrie positioned herself in front of her summoner, claymore held up in a defensive stance as her feet shifted, ready to make a charge. "Hello, what's this!?" Selene exclaimed as a voice boomed through the entire factory complex. So her hunch was right after all - the 'owner' of this place had apparently enlisted the help of an otherworldly entity to make this place a possibility; and apparently he was now paying the price for not living up to his end of the Faustian bargain. And that was when she saw Him - the one who is clearly behind it all as he went sailing through the air, landing close to where the English heiress and her Valkyrie were just before the showdown between steel and lead could begin. Appearing before them as a snappily-dressed gentleman, Selene wondered if that was his true form, or was he not constrained by the concept of form and was in fact capable of manifesting in whatever shape he sees fit. "Good day, ladies. Excuse me, but I could not help but notice that one of you is none other than one of the famed valkyries. I was hoping you could put on a good show for me; before you die of course." The Architect spoke ominously as he lifted his cane before slamming its tip onto the floor, causing the entire complex to suddenly shake as it began rearranging itself on a level they've never seen previously - machinery shifting and fitting together into a vaguely humanoid shape. Selene went all wide-eyed at the sight, giving voice to a nervous chuckle at the behemoth that loomed before her and the Valkyrie, bigger than an apartment block. "Ha, I am certainly 'thrilled'..." Selene said with that typical British sarcasm as she shuffled backwards a few steps. "Selene-san!" Yuki's voice snapped Selene out of her reverie as she turned in the direction of the pink-haired girl, and the corporate heiress decided to put herself as far away from the mecha as possible as it began taking a swing at her Valkyrie. "Yuki-chan! Did you see Jonny or Seth?" Selene asked as she ran up to Yuki - relived to know one of them is safe, but with one safe it left her with the itching desire to know if the others also made it in one piece. Responding with preternatural swiftness and lightning-quick reflexes, the Valkyrie rolled aside as the mecha brought one of its fists down, and when it followed up its smashing attack with a wide swing using its other arm the warrior sprang into the air in a gravity-defying leap to land on its fist, making a counter attempt with a downwards stab from her claymore at the construct's hand. "What can we do to bring this thing down?" Selene wondered as she searched through the weapon crates. "I hope there's enough heavy weaponry here to get the job done," the corporate heiress commented as she opened a crate and found a M72 LAW and several rocket-propelled grenades. |

The architect's smile was perpetuated as the battle commenced, if not a little excited as more contendors approached the battlefield. Of course, it was the valkyrie who remained the centre of his attention, and to say he was pleased by the result was putting it mildly. The reactions at least held up to what was spoken of in amongst the various dimensions, and were the opponent either born of or held together by the substance that made up its form, he would no doubt expect it to be reeling in pain from the stabs of the blade. Too bad that it was all simply a manipulation and essence of his will then, eh? "C'mon now. You will not survive even five minutes if you do not, as I believe you mortals say, 'take it up a notch'." The Architect cackled wildly, as it held aloft its cane, and solely for dramatic effort, waved it forward like a magician did their magic wand. On cue, the metal titan raised the hand currently not being stabbed through by a claymore unwieldly to all but a few, and opened it out, aiming towards the three teens. The creature roared again, as the metal fragments blasted out from it, aiming to either destroy them, or at least, force out a better response. It might have worked too, if it weren't for one meddling kid. "Oh no you don't!" Jonny screamed as he came running in, attempting to pull each of his friends out of the way at superspeed. Meanwhile, shaken by the sound of the conflict nearby, Franky began to stir... |

He was about to describe the factory mecha as gargantuan, but as he got ever closer to it (with Yuki in the lead since he was being bogged down by his injury) he thought he needed to rephrase his sentence, since gargantuan doesn't seem like a strong enough word. After a few moments browsing his vocabulary, he finally found it. It was COLOSSAL. He panted slightly, following the pink-haired girl in front of him with the Glock 18 gripped tightly in his hand as he stared up the super-mecha from the very base of it. He was sure that thing could easily flatten them like little little ants if it were to have the intention to. "Hey!" He called out to the now-found Selene. "Have you seen Jonny- OOF!!!" All of a sudden he was yanked by his midriff, and was thrown well away from wherever he was standing moments before. He landed with a dull thud on the floor as he heard a barrage of loud metallic clangs and bangs from behind him. One of his weapon slipped from his hand and skidded far from his reach. Groaning a bit he pushed himself up form the floor, rubbing his ribs for a bit before- "JONNY! What do you..." His eyes strayed over to the place where he had been moments before, and a sudden chill ran down his spine. The whole area had been turned to a giant stone pincushion. There's not a single place that's not covered in giant metal spikes and hunks of steel. "...uh... thanks for that?" Out of the corner of his eyes he saw, in a giant bird cage or some sort, was a certain someone who looked like he had come out straight from a 1930s American novel. Not that he'd know what they'd look like, but the pink tie was certainly catchy. Struck by a sudden brainwave he picked himself from the ground and ran over to the oversized bird cage. Immediately he shot his hands through the bars grabbing his pink tie and pulled him forcefully towards him, with the only thing separating the two was the bird cage. "Right, might as well tell us what's going on here boss?" He said in a dangerously sweet voice, the single Glock 18 in his left hand hovered at his hip. |

"Yuki-chan! Did you see Jonny or Seth?" Selene asked as she quickly approached where Yuki stood. Overwhelmed with a sense of relief, Yuki couldn't help but give the girl a big hug. There was no telling up to that point whether she had been rittled with bullets or crushed by one of the giant conveyor belt snakes so she was more than glad to see she was in one piece. The connection was short lived as she got back into her battle-focused mind and looked around in reference to her question. "Seth was just behind me. He got shot in the leg by one of the guys so I think it slowed him down. I don't know where Jonny--" Yuki's sentence was cut-off by the sudden explosion of heavy metal right nearby. Luckily before she could be impaled by an incoming scrap of mangled steel, Nora acted quickly to scoop the girl onto her back and dart behind a large piece of machinery, the chunks of metal sticking into the surrounding area like a shrapnel bomb just went off. Using the processing piece as cover was probably not the best idea as they had a tendency to jump to life and try to kill you, but it was their only viable option in the extremely short term. This help would've given Jonny the opportunity to better pull Selene out of the way since although he was super-speedy, moving three people far enough away in time was probably a bit of a stretch. The girl was in slight shock as she slowly looked around the edge of the machine to see the spray of sharp objects embedded in the floor, walls, ceiling...everywhere. She managed to keep hold of her assault rifle and shakily held it with both hands. Surely this time they were in over their heads. While she scanned the area to try and regroup with her friends she caught sight of Seth trying to terrorize some answers out of a snappily-dressed man in a cage. Was he a good guy or a bad guy? It was likely he was the lesser of two evils judging by his circumstances, but evil nonetheless. Yuki quickly navigated around the debris within the explosion's radius and made her way over to meet Seth and the man in the cage, weapon and guardian spirit in tow. She felt a feeling of anger at their entire situation rise up as she saw the man potentially responsible for it all (unless you considered it was actually Jonny's idea to come down here). They'd nearly been made into swiss cheese by his lackeys, had their limbs severed from flying metal, and been crushed to death by live machinery parts. If they were going to get to the end of this, they would need some answers. Mocking what she had seen in movies, Yuki held up the assault rifle with the buttstock tucked into her shoulder, muzzle pointed straight at the man's head from about two feet away. Not the typical Yuki, but surely Seth wouldn't complain about the added help. "You need to tell us what's going on so me and my friends can get out of here ALIVE," she demanded in her most serious tone. Maybe she wasn't completely inept at helping out with a fight. Then again, she still hadn't figured out where the safety switch was on the gun. But the man it was pointed at didn't know that. |

"Seth was just behind me. He got shot in the leg by one of the guys so I think it slowed him down. I don't know where Jonny--" Selene's expression scrunched up in worry as Yuki revealed that Seth was not far behind her but nursing a gunshot wound to the leg. But before the corporate heiress could say anything more she suddenly spun around to point a shaky index finger at the towering golem-like hulk of factory machinery looming over them with its hand pointed in their direction, roaring menacingly. "Look out; incoming!" the English heiress shouted as large chunks of machinery that composed the titan's body blasted out of its outstretched arm and hurtled towards them. Selene was almost certain that she and Yuki would get smashed, until she felt herself getting tackled by someone moving at an incredible speed, narrowly saving them from becoming human steak tartare under a few tons of flying debris. "Jonny!" Selene exclaimed as she picked herself up. "I'm so glad we have you with us... thanks!" the corporate heiress gave Jonny a thumbs up. While Seth and Yuki got down to work on interrogating Franky about what he knew of The Architect, Selene retrieved an M72 LAW and gave Jonny a nod. "Think you can keep that blighter occupied for a while?" the corporate heiress asked as she extended the LAW tube. While it would take at least a hundred anti-tank rockets to cause any substantial damage to this titan, a single well-aimed one to the knee might be all she needed to cripple it. Sensing her master's intention, the Valkyrie jumped off the factory titan's hand. Landing on the ground, the Valkyrie switched to holding her claymore in one hand, using her free hand to pick up a M240 machine gun that was lying on the floor. Already beginning one phase of the distraction plan, the Valkyrie began to weave her way around the titan's feet, while firing her newly-acquired machine gun single-handed, randomly peppering its body and limbs with gunfire in an attempt to provide a diversion. |

He managed to get two out of three, and that wasn't a bad thing either - since number three had the sensibility to get out of the way on her own accord. And by flying big cat no less. He returned Selene's thumbs up, though admittedly, he was the one who'd brought them on this semi-crazy adventure to begin with. "I'll try to grab his attention with a few tricks." He said to her as he rushed towards the monstrosity, a red blur to those who couldn't keep up. He struck out at the titan across its body, smaller sonic booms popping as he accelerated his arms to greater speed than the rest of him. He knocked off good chunks every now and again, writtling away at the feet of the thing. Franky dragged himself off his feet, and became quite clearly distraught once he realised that he was caged like a rat. Assuming rats ever pissed off extradimensional entities. Things went even further down hill for him when some punk with one of his Glocks dragged his face into the cage, ruining his tie in the process. "Y-you think I'm gonna talk to some punk kid who... who... I need a vacation." The sudden change in Franky's tone had come about as a result of seeing the girl with the flying furball approaching, said furball having more muscle and teeth than anything should rightly have. "O-okay, I'll squeal. Just let me go." His voice had a hint of underlying desperation to it as he broke off from the kid, readjusting his tie. "6 months ago was a bad time for anyone to try and do anything illegal in this town. Not cuz of the cops though - most of them turned a blind eye. It was who owned the cops, and damn well every other lucrative opportunity in this town - Wo Shing. I had spent all my money getting to this dump of a town, thinking it'd be a perfect spot to build up my fortune, away from anywhere people would go looking. I-I was desperate. And then... he showed up. Or it. I dunno what the thing classifies as." He said, pointing a finger to the Architect, who looked over the battlefield in amusement, as the monster tried to smash some kid and a chick in armour, though both proved too fast for it to hit. "Called itself the Architect. Said it could build anything anyone wanted, so long as it had a contract. All I wanted was half a year, and a factory to build some weapons that I could sell off for some money. Terrorists, paramilitaries, even common thugs - there's always somebody who wants firepower." He pulled from his coat what appeared to be a piece of parchment, and handed it over to the kids, thinking they might wanna see it. "That's the contract we had. I... I said I'd give the okay for it to do whatever the heck it wanted with the factory after I was done with it. It even threw in a torture chamber and a for me to use on anybody who stepped outta line, and a swimming pool so I could relax whenever I damn well wanted." He forced a smile, as it was becoming obvious that he had made a rather grave mistake. "I... may have been a little less than friendly whilst I was in charge." |

Frowning slightly as the mafia who calls himself Franky finished his explanation, he snatched the so-called contract from his hand for his own perusal. It wasn't exactly remarkable. Just like any other job contract or land contract or whatever. However there DOES seem to be a bit too much fine prints on it... Some of them were even disguised as the frilly shapes that rounds the whole text and it makes up the over-flowery main topic sentence. He's not exactly sure how a small piece of paper like this would have that much power over something, but he really couldn't deny anything much right now. One thing's for sure though. This guy's stupid, he thought as he face-palmed himself, before turning to Franky with a stern look on his face. He didn't say anything though, since he really doesn't know what he could say about anything that's going on here. Not to mention... BOOMBOOMBOOMBOOM!!! Sonic booms after sonic booms caused by Jonny's high speed bee-like assault towards the giant factory-mecha prompted Seth to realize that a philosophical lecture isn't what's important right now. First of all they had got to find a way to stop that factory-mecha from rampaging any more than it's supposed to. And more importantly, to get out of this place. But just how exactly are they going to be able to stop something with such magnitude of power and volume? According to what Mr. Mafia here said the Architect who looked like Manfred Von Karma standing right on top of the giant mobile machinery had complete, total, full control over the entire factory. As evidenced by the mecha that was made from an entire factory itself. Uh... so how are they supposed to do this... ... Uhm. He glanced once at the little contract in his hand, then to Manfred, then to the factory-mecha, rinse and repeat. After about half-a-dozen cycle, a light bulb flicked to life over his head. "Say, does everything revolve around this contract...?" He muttered to Franky. Not that asking would really make that much of a difference, since he'd do it anyway even if he got a negative answer. He poked his thumb through the makeshift bandage Yuki made earlier, making contact with the gaping wound under it. He pulled it out with his thumb now covered in his on blood. Then...

The girl cringed at the explosive sounds going on nearby from Jonny's super-speed punching and the slow whittling of the gigantic robot. Nora kept an eye on the two (three if you count the valkyrie) just kind case they needed some extra help. Until then, she worked out well getting this guy to talk. Yuki watched on as the man in the cage started to explain everything about "the Architect" and the deal he made with him...or it. It amazed her that such powerful supernatural entities actually existed--well, then again, she kind of was used to that sort of thing. Not so much the "making a deal with the devil" bit, but the supernatural kind. Since her arrival at Hyakuji she kept her ability mostly under wraps as there were not many needs for it in her current situation. Even now, the Architect was making himself visible to everyone so there was no need to point him out or use her for communication. Still, she thought the average human had the common sense to not get themselves stuck in things that were too good to be true, but she gave most everyone more faith than they deserved. It did seem like quite an obstacle to overcome, nonetheless, and she had no idea how they were going to tackle this one... ...Until he handed over his contract with the entity. Seriously, who just hands over that kind of stuff? Even not-all-there Yuki knew better than to hand out single copies of important paperwork to people she hardly knew and were holding her at gunpoint. Clearly due to his explanation he was nothing more than a power-hungry criminal who was set on earning as much money as possible in as short of an amount of time as he could without the prospect of any consequences. Clearly he'd never seen Penn and Teller's episode on "Easy Money is Bullshit." ...A torture chamber and a swimming pool? The latter at least explained what she'd fallen into earlier, although it didn't dry her off any faster. The gun in her hands wasn't getting any lighter as she adjusted her grip and stance without making it too obvious she was getting tired from pointing it at the guy throughout his explanation. If nothing else, she could just default to Nora's claws and teeth for intimidation. "Say, does everything revolve around this contract...?" Seth asked as he held it in his hand, gears visibly turning in his brain as he started to think up a plan. "If it does, then maybe we can just rip it up and everything will..." Before her idea even permeated his ears and into his brain, Seth thought the best course of action was to sign HIS name instead at the bottom of the contract to overtake everything. She looked on incredulously as he did it, suddenly overwhelmed with shock. "S-Seth-kun! What are you--" Apparently she was so overwhelmed that she dropped the weapon she'd been holding, which was followed by a humorous-in-hindsight chain of events. As the gun fell toward the floor, the small safety lever on the side caught onto her jacket and flipped to the SEMI position (PS: she still doesn't know where it is even after this occurs, and she possibly never will). The barrel of the rifle tilted up while the heavier buttstock fell toward the ground, and as soon as the end connected with the concrete ground the shoddily-made, preloaded weapon fired off a round. The bullet sailed through the air, between the bars of the cage, and shot Franky square in the shoulder. "AGH! What the hell was that for!" he cried as he grasped his now-bleeding shoulder with his other hand in pain. "Uh..!" In a panic, Yuki tried to keep her cool while stooping to grab the felled gun. "It was...a warning! To not try anything funny!" It was all she could do to keep herself from visibly shaking after the gun discharged itself (not to mention her burning urge to apologize to the man). She almost unintentionally killed a guy! This did not excuse the reason she dropped it in the first place as she turned back to Seth. "I don't know if that was such a good idea...and at the least, the Architect isn't going to like it!" |

The repeated sonic booms caused by Jonny's distractions were uncomfortable to say the least as the boy zipped around at a blinding speed to avoid the titan's attacks, while the Valkyrie did likewise, dodging its deadly swings and smashes while annoying it with automatic gunfire from her acquired firearm until her M240 clicked on an empty magazine, which she then promptly discarded. Meanwhile, Selene raised her M72, resting the rocket launcher on her right shoulder before taking aim for the construct's right leg through the weapon's sights. Holding her breath to steady her hands once her aim was zeroed in, the corporate heiress fired. Selene reeled slightly from the recoil as a searing blast of ignited gases exploded forth from the exhaust end of the M72, while an anti-tank rocket-propelled grenade blazed a path right towards the titan's knee joint! Hopefully, this might buy them some time to figure out what to do next by crippling the construct. |

Franky nodded slightly at the kid's question, wondering what exactly he planned to- wait... he couldn't... could he? "Hey, gimme that!" Franky tried to reach through the bars of the cage, clawing for the contract. However, before he manage to swipe it away, a hunk of lead passed through his shoulder, and he briefly forgot his anger towards the smartass, and redirected it towards the miniature broad. "AGH! What the hell was that for!" Franky fell to the ground, clutching his bleeding shoulder. Franky's sudden scream of pain had gained the Architect's notice, even above the almost rhythmic disruption of the sound barrier. He turned his gaze towards the wounded bird in a cage, his eyes narrowing as he eyed the two mortals that were gathered in front of it, alongside the spirit creature. And more specifically, what they held. His once dastardly pleasant demeanor turned grim quickly, and he raised the cane, turning it towards the children, the eyes of his creation turning to follow. It roared, knowing his command, and began to lumber towards them. It raised his fist, ready to smash them all to fine powder and red goo--- KaBBBBBBOOOOOOMMMMMM ---When Selene's rocket launcher round broke upon its knee, which combined with the already weakened state of its leg, shattered it into dozens - if nots hundreds - of metal fragments that went flying. The Architect watched in restraint horror as his creation fell to the ground, not reacting fast enough to stop its descent. Crashing down, the metal structure exploded into the many pieces which had formed it, several managing to stop just short of the duo by the cage, though all others might want to move to avoid it. The Architect did not do so however, allowing his form to unravel to let each piece fly through, before ultimately reforming. His anger was silent, as he recognised a simple, and undeniable fact: He had been humiliated. By mortal children. This would not stand. Feeling his power beginning to ebb as it was divided between him and the diseased boy, he attempted to reform his giant, the first thing to come into shape from the scattered pieces of metal being a massive arm, in an attempt to crush the lad before he realised what he could now accomplish in this space. However, as the body began to come back together, his attack was halted, and he realised something. His creation was a lot smaller than it had been before. Roughly half the mass denied to him. Scowling, he focused, to make sure that no more of it was lot to to this... this... impudent little being! Jonny had managed to dodge the sudden flying pieces of metal, sliding away to land next to Selene, watching as the scene unfolded from there. "What the hell is going on?!" |

One does not simply eat one packet of mee goreng

The moment his name was scrawled in blood on the contract, the moment the mechanical knight disintegrated, his face cracked a sly victory grin. Bingo. There was no need for him to realize any more than he did. He had expected, he had seen it coming, without even any proof that it might actually work. His only reasoning was pure guesswork, trial and error. And his first trial was a success. Although, he still couldn't help being surprised at being, well, right. But still, how can he know that it did work? Well, he found his life-or-death chance when the disintegrated metal parts of the machaniloid began raining down on them. The best course of action was, of course, from a normal person's point of view, would be to jump aside from that area as fast as possible to avoid being turned to shish kebab. Of course, right now, and probably since ever, Seth is not a normal person. Kinda. And this was immediately apparent when he, instead of ducking for cover, stood his ground with his eyes set right into the eyes of death as it came crashing down onto him! But it never came.In fact, it never came close to him. Not within a meter before the flying metallic apocalypse ripped him and anyone close to him to shreds, they were diverted from their trajectory away from being in the collision course of anyone nearby, crashing instead on the grounds with deafeningly loud steely crashed that reverberated throughout the entire area. Like the rampaging mecha wasn't loud enough. A bead of sweat rolled down his cheek, and his grin became even wider. His hypothesis have been proven. So what now? He turned around towards Yuki and said, "Take care of Franky here, alright? And try to stay safe," before returning to face the half-giant mecha-factory in front of him. He knows just what he needed and wanted to do. It's just inevitable. And kinda tempting. He began to step forward, and with each steps he went faster and faster, until he was literally running up to the half-giant mecha right in front of him, his arms outstretched at his sides. Then he brought it backwards, letting it lag behind before flinging it upwards in front of him. And then, something that was not supposed to happen happened. Giant metallic, plastic, rubber pieces from the factory that did not reform the giant mecha he was facing began to shudder, slide, and finally fly, following the motion of his hands collecting themselves together in front of him. Large machinery pieces, solid steels and rubbers and everything collided and molded themselves together, stacking on top of each others to slowly but surely form a humanoid figure, rivaling it's counterpart in size, apparent power and sheer presence. ![]() On top of the newly-formed mecha stood Seth Rouga, evaluating the masterpiece he otherwise could not have been able to create under normal circumstances. Okay, so it wasn't exactly as fabulous and dazzling as he had imagined it would be, being made out of oily and grimy scrap metals gotten from a broken down factory, and the plume... was a bit of a letdown. But, he really can't complain much. Not that now he'd had half of the control to this entire underground pocket dimension. And there he was, grinning widely with his arms crossed, one of his hand still gripping the Glock 18 he was carrying around earlier. He took a deep breath before calling out to the one named the Architect (though he was still inclined to just call him Manfred), "Now that we're both at the same level, why don't we see who will take the top seat?" |

Dangerously Cheesy.
|
With the giant mechanical monster falling apart nearby, Yuki couldn't help but let out an anticipatory, high-pitched squeal as piece upon piece of sharp metallic objects fell around them. She made herself as small of a standing target as possible, scrunching up her face much like one would if they knew they were about to be punched (and couldn't do anything about it). These pieces were large enough to easily sever limbs, or at least crush a person beneath their weight, and Yuki could see either of these things happening to her whether or not she moved from where she was standing. Since everything was coming down, the most logical place to go was up, and Nora took this opportunity to swoop to safety. Of course, she masterfully got Yuki onto her back with little effort or realization from the girl, who held on so the cause of her death wasn't plumetting to the ground. She still held onto her gun, at this point out of reflex from going into minor shock about her pending death at the time. Now instead of being a potential pancake, she was a girl riding a flying lion-like spirit, holding an assault rifle. She felt pretty badass, like a heroine out of a modernized Narnia chronicle, and a small grin plastered itself on her face temporarily. But her badass-ness stopped at the exterior as she watched the two smaller mechs form from the pieces of factory rubble and scrap down at the level below. They were about half the size of the one from earlier--it made sense if the two operating the machines were sharing the power of the contract. She did not like where this was potentially going to go. More importantly, what was SHE supposed to do now? "Take care of Franky here, alright? And try to stay safe," Seth called out from where he was on the ground level. It looked like she had her answer and an assignment. And right, as if she was purposely getting herself in the way of danger. Wait, first of all, how did all that flying debris miss Seth? He must've had a crazy bout of luck, or was just too stupid to move out of the way. Maybe it was a bit of both. Whatever it was, she looked down at the man in the cage, wondering what she was supposed to do about him. Then a question came to mind. "Wait! Do you mean like, 'make sure he stays safe' take care of him, or 'get rid of him' take care of him? Seth!" But it was too late, he'd already made his way over to his robot battle and she'd have to figure this out on her own. Yuki really didn't want to kill Franky. Aside from being greedy and having poor foresight, he really was just some guy who made a bad decision and had likely paid enough for it up to this point. Well...selling weapons to terrorists...maybe he could stand a bit more punishment, though she was sure it'd come in due time in one way or another. Karma had a way of being a real bitch sometimes. Yuki scanned the factory from where she was to try and find Selene and Jonny. Sure enough they were somewhat nearby, and she figured it was best if they stuck together at this point. Nora flew over to where they were and hovered in the air a few meters off the ground. "Selene-san, Jonny-kun! Come over this way! We have the guy who sorta caused all this under watch, and now Seth's going to fight the force behind this whole thing in his own mecha!" It was a rather crap explanation, and likely did little more than confuse them further, but it was the first thing that came out of her mouth. "Follow us this way before things get out of control!" Was her location safer than theirs? Not in the least, but at least they could attempt to stick together. This was especially important in case they didn't get rid of all of Franky's gun-using lackeys so they could keep more pairs of eyes in more directions. Nora and Yuki flew ahead, but low and slower this time so they would be able to keep up (okay, so Selene could keep up) and see where they were headed. It wasn't long before they came upon Franky, still in his cage, when Nora dropped down to the ground and let Yuki slide off her back. She'd done it so many times that she didn't even have to think about it. Nora gave Franky a quick snarl in case he planned on getting bold, just to remind him who was in charge here. |

Chosen of Ares

"Now how'd you like THIS? Ha!" Selene exulted as her rocket launcher scored a direct hit to the construct's knee joint. Already weakened from Jonny's earlier assault, the antitank rocket was all that was needed to take out its leg, sending a rain of debris falling as the construct fell to the ground and literally shattered before them, sending its constituents flying in all directions. And that was when the corporate heiress' exultation gave way to shock as debris began raining everywhere; pieces of metal large enough to skewer someone, or simply crush them. Casting aside the used launcher, the corporate heiress clenched her fist tightly to get her blood flowing again... no, it wouldn't do - she wouldn't be able to get a barrier spell up in time! "Master, be careful!" Selene's Valkyrie sprang into action as she quickly closed the distance between herself, grabbing hold of the corporate heiress and slinging her onto her right shoulder and jumping backwards, sailing through the air in a gravity-defying leap with her master as her passenger on her right shoulder, just before the ruined hulk of a hydraulic press smashed onto the spot Selene had been standing mere moments ago. The corporate heiress gasped as she realized that the downed factory titan had reassembled itself, albeit diminished in size by a good deal, along with another mecha-like construct of a different design but similar size rising out of the debris heap. Whatever it is, she needed to find the others and fast! "Over there!" Selene caught sight of Nora, and Yuki was right nearby, waving to the pink-haired girl before pointing to their location to get her summoned warrior to bring her there. And it appeared that Yuki had spotted her as she called out to the corporate heiress just as Jonny landed next to her, having - predictably - avoided the rain of debris. "What the hell is going on?!" Jonny asked, clearly shocked by the turn of events. But before Selene could answer him she'd hear Yuki call out to the both of them. "Selene-san, Jonny-kun! Come over this way! We have the guy who sorta caused all this under watch, and now Seth's going to fight the force behind this whole thing in his own mecha!" Well, that doesn't explain how Seth managed to get his own mecha to fight, but it was a good thing he did. "Follow us this way before things get out of control!" "Yuki-chan's right. We need to stick together!" Selene nodded as she glanced over at Jonny, still being carried over the Valkyrie's shoulder as the warrior followed after Nora and Yuki on quick but light-footed strides before stopping when the two of them arrived at where Franky was, all caged-up, followed by lowering the corporate heiress onto the ground next to Jonny and Yuki. |
