"Well... that is... unexpected..." He said from the floor in feeble surprise, as he watched the elevator door open, revealing the majestic scenery behind it. Well, you can't exactly call a hidden underground giant factory-esque thing majestic, but you get the idea. With slight difficulty, he scraped the wall of the elevator for support as he pushed himself from the floor up to his own two feet. But even after getting to his full height, he kept himself leaned against the wall, sighing slightly as he felt the energy drain from him from the simple act of standing up. His head spun slightly as he pushed himself off the wall, allowing his legs to take the full weight of his body. He wobbled dangerously for a moment before he could gain an even footing. There was no pain, he wasn't injured, just, extremely lethargic for some reason. All this time he felt like he could sleep just about anywhere. "Imma... fine," He reassured the rest, had they have been worrying. "Just a bit tired... tha's all..." He yawned widely yet again, not even having enough energy to stifle it down to a socially-acceptable level. His words have truth in them, but it was highly unsuitable considering the real gravity of his situation. 'A bit tired' doesn't do justice to what he's feeling now. Of course, he could just take the elevator back up and ditch this place once and for all, but if this place is really swarming with mafias, he didn't think he'd be left alive after being found out that he found out their secret doughnut-factory thing. Besides, he felt like he just couldn't leave them alone. And he'd gotten this far, hadn't he? Shaking his head slightly to keep his consciousness in check, he stepped out of the elevator and into the gigantic cavern. The whole place, despite being a factory since a factory is supposed to be brimming full of noises of machinery and the swearing of low-blood pressured starving middle-aged man that was forced to go to work without any breakfast, was completely silent. There was not a scrape of metal to be heard, not a clunk of something battering over something else, not a whir of gears turning, nothing. Everything was dead silent like some defunct factory. Which it DOESN'T seem to look like. From the looks of it, this place seemed pretty well-kept. And well-used. For every step they took deeper into the chamber that houses the underground factory, their footsteps echoed loudly through the whole compound, multiplying as they bounced off from everywhere, making it seem like there's an army of people down here stepping around at the same time. But in actuality, at least for them, there's only four people here. "Well... can't keep this amazing discovery go to waste, now can we?" He said with a small smile, pulling out the Bat Shot V2.0 he got for Christmas from who-knows-where. |

"Just try not to do anything fatal. It's a tad hypocritical, don't you think?" Jonny chimed in before gazing at his hands and balling his fists. "Well, I suppose we'd have to cross our fingers and pray that it doesn't boil down to a 'them or us' scenario," Selene replied as her grip tightened around the handle of her ritual dagger. She wouldn't use lethal force if she could help it, but should a violent encounter ensue she wouldn't have much qualms about injuring or even killing in order to ensure her friends don't come to any harm. A ding announced the elevator's arrival at their destination, as the doors opened to reveal the subterranean factory/warehouse complex that lay in front of them. "Well... I'd say that's not normal." Jonny commented, while Selene could only wonder if whoever owned this place had connections to Wo Shing or some other high-profile organization. "Wow...this place is huge..." Yuki added. "I say, how did they manage to build this thing beneath the streets of Hyakuji without the city authorities knowing?" The English heiress interjected as she squinted slightly to make out their surroundings, being only partially-lit at the moment. "It just boggles the mind, you know. If you're going to find out the purpose behind this place... I'd suggest starting either with their operations office or storage area if you intend to make this a short one." The corporate heiress knew enough of businesses and industries to know that no matter what product one is dealing with, a factory compound is bound to have an operations office where the paperwork and other administrative matters are processed, and a storage area for incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products - and these two places are probably the best places to get the most information. |

"That's a good question. You'd think someone would have noticed the mining equipment at least." He answered to Selene, as he continued to walk about the area. He raised his camera, the device giving out a small click with each photo taken. Turning left, he found himself staring down several crates, marked in a number of different languages. Two of which he understood quite well. "Donuts... yeah right." He muttered as he put the camera down on top of one of the crates, lifting the lid off another. As the plastic casing fell to the floor, Jonny couldn't believe what was lying in front of him. "This is... an AK-47, right?" He hoisted the assault rifle out of the box, noting the weight of it. The finish and smell of the weapon made it seem like it was made not too long ago. Well, guess that explained what was being made in this factory. "Wonder what else is here." He put the gun back in the box, taking a few photos, before opening another. Within a few moments, he had photographed at least five different weapons, half of which he couldn't even identify the type of, let alone the weapon model itself. "What'd you guys find?" He turned, presuming he would be facing the others, but instead, it was a solid wall. "The...hell?" He put the camera away, sealing up the crates, before walking over to what clearly wasn't there only a few moments ago. His hands rested upon the structure, indicating that it wasn't an illusion of his mind. "But how... when?" He asked questions as he went along the surface of the wall. "Uwah-wah-wha?!" Part of the wall suddenly collapsed on itself, and he found himself falling through it... ...And winding up on the ceiling, looking down at the others? This was getting really confusing. |

"Woah... Chetri'd be overjoyed by these..." He exclaimed softly as he tipped open the cover of one of the crated, revealing a crapload of neatly arranged bullpups he was sure they used to have in the basement of the old WDA office. Well, that settles it. It's a hidden underground weapon factory. Yet how they managed to keep an entire factory running around the clock churning out rifles and shotguns every few seconds without anyone back at the surface realizing anything was quite a feat. Especially how they managed to smuggle raw materials into the factory through the small entrance of the donut shop without anyone thinking it was weird for them to order hunks of metals and composite materials. I mean, they don't use carbon nanotubes to make donuts, right? Or is the icing on the donuts was actually made of leftover steel dusts? The Bat Shot flashed again and again as he pressed the button taking a few shots of the bullpups, and a few more of the more exotic weapons he could find, as well as a few crateful of grenades and gun rounds. He's pretty sure a dozens should be enough as evidence, but he supposed it wouldn't hurt to take a few scenic shot of the great underground factory. It's like a scene of a villains evil lair from a spy movie or something, he thought as he swung the transformable camera around snapping pictures at random, clearly enjoying the clicking sound every time he presses the butt- "Uhwoooh!!" He gave a loud yelp as he fell through a wall he had been trying to lean on to get the widest angle he could get of the dastardly huge machinery in front of him. And that was pretty weird in itself. How can anyone actually fall through a wall? Unless the wall is actually just a door pretending to be a wall. Well, either way, the fall was pretty painful as he had bumped his head on the ground quite hard. Well, at least he's a bit more awake right now. He sat up,rubbing the back of his head as he whined quite audibly. Maybe a bit too audible. Well, this place was quite quiet in the first place. But no. This level of quietness is quite different from the open-spaced quitness the factory had given off. It was more like... a room? He opened his eyes slightly and saw... Nothing. Pitch black. Dark. What else would you call it? Naturally this popped a whole damn lots of question marks all around him as he slowly tries to register this seemingly ridiculous phenomenon. Just a few seconds ago there was a hugeass conveyor belt right in front of him, but now fhere was... he moved his hand forward and hit... a wall of some sort. Rocky, jagged, uh... rocky wall. He felt around behind him and his other hand, too, felt another wall. Panic starts to rise inside him as he realized that he had been trapped in some sort of a dimensional chamber of some sort, isolated from the rest of the world. He's here, all alone, in the dark, without anyone to call out for helpawait... He moved one of his hand to his side, feeling around expecting to hit another wall. But there was nothing. He moved his hand further sideways, going on until he touched something. And on and on he goes, and he STILL haven't hit anything. A glint of hope was lighted in his eyes. So he's not fully separated from the outside world after all. It's like he had been transported to a dark underground hallway of some sort. It was spacious enough for him to spread his arms wide, but the darkness was, one could say... depressing. He couldn't see anything and he had to rely on his sense of touch to navigate himself across the... whole... A lightbulb lighted above his head. He took out the Bat Shot, aimed it right in front of him and, FLASH! A bright and brief flash of light illuminated everything in front of him. It was momentary, but it was enough for him to confirm that he really was inside a corridor of some sort. With a newfound vigor he continued his way through the hallway, feeling around the wall just to make sure he doesn't walk right into it, flashing around a few more times to make sure there's nothing blocking his way before he walks right into them, also to make sure he knows what to expect before taking another step forward. He continues on walking, his feet tapping on the floor, the sound echoing through the seemingly empty hallway. After a few more steps, he felt around his right side, and lo and behold! Finally, a turn! At the very least now he knows he's not trapped in a Mobius Loop. He felt his way around the corner, lifting the camera up and FLASH! ...well. doesn't seem too different from before. Just more unending corridor. He needed to take a few more flashes, before he could be sure though. Once again he raised the camera in front of him and FLASH! ... ...... .........What was that...? For some reason his heartbeat increased, he felt slightly anxious, even slightly fearful. His hand trembled as his pupil dilates, his breathing somehow becomes slightly shallow and quick. He thought... he saw... ...must be an illusion, he thought, as he desperatesly tries to calm himself down. What was he thinking, this place is empty. There can't be anyone or anything down here. Must've been the lethargic feeling he's still feeling right now. Yeah, that's right. ...Even then he still felt uneasy. He wanted to be sure for a bit. He raised his camera up in front of him. He didn't press immediately, though. He was still scared of what he might find the moment the camera flash lights up. His hand was trembling, his palms and his face was sweating out of fear, cold fear. But he needs to be sure... he can't get himself ambushed in the dark like this... he needs to know, to prepare... His trembling fearful finger presses gently on the button- FLASH!!! ... ...... .........See?! Hahah! There's nothing there after all! He gave a loud laugh of relief as he wiped the sweat off his brows. Now tat was stupid, to be scared of something non-existent like that... He took a few deep breaths, before continuing his way through the corridor... |

"Cor blimey, just look at all these!" Selene exclaimed as she peered into a partially-sealed packing crate, to inspect its contents. Firearms... and more firearms. Most of them appeared to be knock-offs of popularly-used models such as the MP5 submachine gun or M92 pistol... while some were models that the corporate heiress couldn't identify beyond the basic firearm type such as 'shotgun', or 'assault rifle'. Selene whipped out her smart phone and began snapping several pictures of the stored armaments, as well as production machinery that manufactures firearm components. "I could swear there's probably enough ordnance in here to equip an entire army..." Selene looked over her shoulder to see where Jonny was, only to find he was not there. "Jonny! Quit fooling ar-" Selene gasped as she looked behind her. Somehow, her surroundings were different compared to when they just entered it - or at least to the best of her knowledge. It was as if the layout of the place somehow rearranged itself. That was just not... natural. Perhaps that was how this place could be hidden from the public eye? The corporate heiress had read of alternate planes of existence, some of which the concepts of geometry and space were highly skewed... could it be that they were inside some sort of pocket universe. But still, whoever built and used this place must have some way of understanding how it works; for now, the corporate heiress decided to look for the operations office, to see if she may come across any files or documents that could shed some light on their current situation. |

Yuki took her time inspecting the factory as she saw every time she came to a corner a new opportunity for a mafia member to jump out and gun her down. Thus, she was in no hurry to be shot. To supply some extra light and act as an evidence collection tool, she took out her smartphone and turned on the flashlight application. Not wanting to jostle one of the boxes in case it contained bombs or something else explosive, she meandered her way to an open crate a few meters away. Sure enough, she glanced inside apprehensively (who knew what was in there, it could've been preserved body parts for all she knew). As soon as her eyes fell upon the shiny black metal and distinct shape of a gun, her heart raced as if she had nearly fallen off a cliff. What they had stumbled upon was no doughnut factory, but seemed to be much more sinister than that. Was it tied to the local gang that had recently disbanded, or was it something else completely? Yuki snapped a photo or two of the crate's contents, and apparently the flash from the camera phone spooked a nearby rodent, which in turn spooked the girl, who jumped backwards and promptly slipped on a puddle of water. If you slip on a puddle or ice and can't recover from the fall, you would inevitably hit the floor, sidewalk, parking lot, or some other hard surface. As Yuki fell backwards with a gasp, she grabbed Nora's tail, failing to take hold of any actual sturdy piece of constructed material to stop her descent. Bracing herself for the impact, she closed her eyes and... ...felt like she was crashing into a giant pool. She pushed her arms through the water and broke through the surface, gasping for air as she hadn't expected needing to hold her breath. Her surroundings were also different. There was a single light over by a small set of stairs which she swam her way toward, having some difficulty in her jeans and jacket. Yuki heaved herself out of the water, coughing a few times and looking back at where she came from. There were black walls, and the light from the stairs reflecting off the seemingly endless surface of rippling water. "Wh...what happened?! Selene-san? Can ANYone hear me??" Receiving no response except an echo and having no where to go but up, she began climbing the stairs and took Nora (who simply shook the water off herself) and her feeling of dread with her. They had stumbled upon something truly strange this time. |

Even from his vantage point of nothing less than the ceiling itself, Jonny wasn't able to locate the majority of his friends. The only one he had managed to was Selene, but that was only after the room had stopped rearranging itself to allow him to actually spot her. Given the messed up sense of gravity, actually getting to her was another question. There was of course one way of testing... He readied himself, bending his knees, and looking up (or down) at the floor. He jumped, and for a few moments, actually believed he might be able to cross gravitational fields (or whatever was at work) to go the full way. However, his hopes were dashed as he came falling back towards the ceiling, and he landed with a less than satisfied thud. The ceiling beneath him however cracked and crumbled, causing him to fall through... And be spat out from one of the processing machines, his momentum causing him to fly off the conveyor belt and into a nearby wall, before crashing down to the ground. "Ow..." He groaned, before getting up and looking around. The wall he had crashed into was none other than the wall the elevator was attached to, and if his ears weren't failing him... Someone was coming down. Moving behind the piece of machinery he had just emerged from, Jonny peered his head around the corner to see five men emerge, each dressed in business suits way too snappy for the donut making business. Each wore a hat atop their heads, and all in all their look wouldn't be too out of place in a 1930s american novel. The centre man - and the only one with a noticeably pink tie - was none other than Franky the Flamengo, the very crook who (supposedly) owned this thing. "What in the name of Aunt Petunia's Apple Pie is this?" Franky asked, holding up his hands in disbelief. "The factory isn't supposed to have stopped. I've got a shipment to have ready for my bro back in New Mexico by Tuesday. 'Ey, Leeroy, get the lights. Jenkins, find out where exactly everyone decided to take their break at this fine hour. You two are with me. Might as well inspect whatever goods are already done." The men divided, hands ready to draw weapons if necessary, and moved about the factory, unaware of the presence of the students. But something was quite aware of both parties present. That something rested both within and outside of the various areas of its realm, looking down on all the little ants that called themselves sentient. "Wohoho, finally you're here Franky! I've been waiting for this! But first..." It formed a limb solely for the sake of snapping its finger. "Let's have some fun, shall we?" The factory would rearrange itself once again, arches rising up to permit Seth and Yuki entrance back into it, though they disappear once the two had stepped through. Thanks to the rearranged shape, they would emerge not far from each other, though between them would be one of Franky's thugs, who would not hesitate to shoot with his FN P90 if he saw either of them. Franky himself would be just around the corner from Selene, himself only wielding a Desert Eagle, but his goons would have Glock 18s at their disposal. Similar reaction to spotting a teenager as the first. Which left the last thug, bearing down on Jonny. Though perhaps those aren't to be worried about too much. Not when compared to conveyor belts coming to life and moving about the factory with all the movements and agility of a cobra. Where would they strike? They could pop up just about anywhere.

FLASH! FLASH! FLASH! FLA-Oh, just how long is this cave gonna go?! It's like he's been walking for miles, turning around corners and bends expecting with every flash to see, though he doesn't want to see, the disturbing... thing from earlier. FLASH! FLASH! Flash! ...uh. After a while the tense atmosphere died off, leaving him to wander around the one-way path yawning with all his might. The endless walk had him completely bushed, and he could barely keep himself walking in a straight line. Who knows just how much longer is this gonna- oh? OH! Hahah! Finally, the exit! His eyes shot open wide in excitement as he saw a door after turning around yet another (and hopefully the last) corner. Eager to get out of the dark and dank and gloomy and despairing path of darkness, he quickened his steps towards and finally out of the dark cave and into the dimly lit area of the factory- The first thing he saw was an armed thug. And the next thing he saw was Yuki, who had just emerged from the doorway just opposite him. Well, even with his half-alive brain it didn't take much to set his body into action, especially at the sight of some mafia-looking thug wielding a gun. And from past experience, anyone holding a gun like that is primed to shoot at any unfamiliar target. Simply put, his brain immediately switched gear to survival mode. With that simple reasoning, his legs sprang forward, holding up his Bat Shot up in front of him, covering the distance between him and the thug in an instant. In one swift motion he aligned the Bat Shot in front of the thug's face and FLASH!!! Hopefully that would disorient the man enough for him to dart around the man towards the girl at the opposite side, in order to pick her up and flee as deep as possible into, ...as long as it's any where away from him. Not talking much, but he could straighten a few things. That guy was probably one of the mafias who owned this factory. If they're here, then that means they've probably been completely surrounded by gun-wielding mafias. Just an assumption anyway, but who could say it's not correct? He's too preoccupied with escaping, that he didn't notice a conveyor belt was lashing at him violently from above... |

"Cor blimey! I feel like a rat in a maze!" Selene muttered to herself as she weaved past the rows of weapon crates and manufacturing lines, yet never seeming to reach her destination - sure it looked big when the viewed it from the elevator upon their arrival, but she never expected it to be even bigger on the inside - the place seemed to be infinitely large in defiance to the concept of space as we understand it, and to compound matters the entire layout of the complex seemed to change every minute or every time she turned a corner, such that there was no way for the corporate heiress to get any bearings on her current location. And then, it stopped. Or rather, Selene realized that it stopped, that the underground factory complex was no longer rearranging itself. The first clue came to her after wandering about aimlessly for quite a bit and realizing that she had stumbled back upon a familiar zone - or rather, it clearly looked like she had passed through this area. Although just to be sure, the corporate heiress removed a pen from her purse and wrote the Roman numeral "I" on a nearby support beam. So if the layout of the place had somehow 'normalized', she surmised that she would not be running into the marked location by moving away from it, with the English heiress now taking a Westwards path, hoping to be able to locate one or more of her friends in the process. Did I just hear... Selene thought as she strained her ears. She thought she heard Yuki's voice somewhere in the distance, calling her name - but it was very faint, and the corporate heiress wondered if that wasn't her own mind playing tricks on her. But nevertheless, she still tried speaking up, possibly against her own better judgment, what with being aware that they were deep in enemy territory, and the last thing they wanted was to draw the attention of whoever is guarding this place to them. "Seth-san! Yuki-chan! You there?" Selene called out, raising her voice although still mindful not to shout, her heart now pounding at an accelerated pace as the corporate heiress prayed that she hadn't attracted any unwanted attention to herself or her friends. "Oh, bollocks..." Selene grumbled in a barely-audible volume of voice as she heard footsteps around the corner, and although she originally hoped it would either be Jonny or one of the others, looking at the shadow cast on the floor, the silhouette was clearly not that of a high school teen caused the corporate heiress to pale slightly, turning her from fair of face to somewhat sickly-looking. Not wanting to pick a fight at this moment, the corporate heiress positioned herself behind a stack of crates, peeking from behind cover to see just who or what is lurking around the corner. |

Dangerously Cheesy.

As Yuki climbed the set of stairs that led toward an archway filled with light, she did what she could to wring the water out of her jacket and updo. How was it that in her few exciting outings, two of them she ended up soaking wet in? The girl managed to upgrade herself from "drenched" to merely "briefly caught in a sudden downpour" before she and Nora went through the entryway into what appeared to be the factory once again. Everything looked as it had a few moments ago before she took a freak fall into a pool of water she swore didn't exist, except things seemed slightly...rearranged? Oh, and the fact that there was a guy with a gun nearby, poised and ready to kill. ...waitaminute. A guy with a gun?! One guy meant there were probably more guys, and more guys meant more chances for a very untimely death for the teenage girl! The next series of events over the following few seconds was disorienting and frightening for the pink-haired girl although she would inevitably end up grateful for their occurrence. Before Yuki had time to properly panic and dart behind a piece of heavy machinery or a pile of crates, she was promptly blinded by a bright flash of light from which she was unable to identify the source. Her retinas aflame from the vast contrast between the dark chamber she'd emerged from and the quick yet intense light that was likely meant for her potential assailant, her first instinct was to shoot her hands up to her face to block more burning light from entering. Vision now handicapped but slowly adjusting, she let out a yelp as she felt herself be swept up off the ground and moved somewhere at a very quick pace. The girl had failed to notice Seth before the flash of light and thought she was being kidnapped by one of the mafia members--this was the reason for the thrashing that proceeded mid-flee. "Aaagh! Put me down, put me down, put me down!" she screamed, kicking her arms and legs furiously. "You won't get away with--" Just as Yuki opened her eyes and was about to club her kidnapper over the head, her eyes adjusted and she realized it was one of her teammates. She froze her clasped hands above her head and ceased all bodily movement, her face flaring up in embarrassment at how she just tried to take out her rescuer. "Ahaha...sorry, Seth-kun..." Nora knew that this was no longer a simple high school investigation and took it upon herself to instantaneously transform into her larger, more menacing and combat-ready form. The spirit guardian's offensive mode kicked in as her claws extended and her senses heightened. Although they had escaped the goon with the gun for now (not to say it wasn't a ranged weapon), they had more unconventional attacks to worry about. As Seth was occupied with the moving of Yuki to a safer location, he was severely handicapped in that he was unable to properly defend himself from the mass of moving belt whipping overhead. Yuki saw the giant threat zooming toward them from above and reflexively clung to the boy for dear life as her eyes widened in fear. "Seth-kun, look out!" Nora flapped her wings to burst forward quickly and reached out with a roar, slicing to shreds the snake-like conveyor belt that came within inches of hitting the two humans. Luckily it seemed that as soon as the belt was severed from the "main body" it was rendered motionless, but unfortunately there was no telling how much belt there was. The giant winged lion continued to tear and rip oncoming belts with her claws and teeth, piles of the thin rubber falling to the ground. But they weren't alone in the factory, and it was only a matter of time before... The man who had been previously flashed by Seth had now fully recovered his vision (OOC: Haha XD) and was out for vengeance. He scanned his surroundings and it wasn't more than a few seconds before he spotted the group of three off in the distance battling the conveyor belts. With an angry growl at how he'd been briefly outsmarted by a high school student, he raised his automatic weapon and began firing on the group. How will our heroes survive these brutal attacks?! Jonny watched as the man he presumed to be Leeroy approached, seeing the weapon in his hands. Something that looked like an MP5, which meant something between 700 and 900 rounds per minute. Even though of course one clip couldn't possibly contain that much ammo, it was still a wary thought. Then again, he was faster than a speeding bullet if he needed to be. The man turned the corner, spotting Jonny within a moment's notice. The weapon was turned to fire at the lad, but as the trigger was pulled, and the projectiles flew from the weapon's muzzle, a loud boom could be heard. Jonny had broken the sound barrier as per his powers, successfully dodging the machine gun fire in a heartbeat. He slowed down as he appeared at the man's side, not wanting to hit so hard he'd knock off the guy's head. However, he stopped just short, as rising from above the machinery was what appeared to a conveyor belt. That was alive. And that despite the lack of anything resembling facial features, it was pretty pissed. He ducked sideways as the thing's 'head' came crashing down, smashing the ground. It shot forward at the thug, sending him flying a good number of metres across the factory. Realising this was an enemy against which he was free to not hold back, Jonny raced towards the side of the metallic beast, yet another sonic boom as he slammed into its side, smashing apart the links that made up its body. Unfortunately, that didn't mean all of it was made inert, as he found out when he found himself experiencing a similar flight to the one the mafia thug had made. Franky was in a bad mood, that much would be evident. "If that damned thing has done anything to mess up my operation, I don't care what dimension it's from, I'm gonna show it the Flamengo definition of manners." He spoke to his men, who did not respond in turn. They knew he'd probably just get pissed off at them for it. The last time they had, he'd shaved their heads clean into the bald and almost identity-less craniums they were now. One could tell that even through the cover of their hats. "Now let's see exactly what we got here..." Franky approached the stack of crates which hid the corporate heiress from sight. Franky opened up the lid of the first crate, somehow managing not to spot Selene in the process. "Excellent... excellent. My brother is just gonna love this." He grinned, inspecting the quality of the make. His concentration however was broken when the boom from Jonny's first supersonic usage within the factory, turning his head as he dropped the lid behind the stack of crates. "The hell is that? I didn't tell it to install thunder you know." He threw up his hands in frustration as he turned back to the weapons crate, spotting the lid had fallen. "Geez, should probably get hinges." He groaned as he moved around the crates, surprised when he found something other than just the lid. "What in the hell are you doing here?" He quickly aimed his desert eagle, clearly intending on shooting regardless of an answer or not. However, a second boom rang out, Franky jumping as he fired a shot pointlessly into the air. The man had left himself vulnerable. |

One does not simply eat one packet of mee goreng

The only thing he could do for now was to weave rapidly around the barrages of attacks the constrictor conveyors as the lifeless-but-definitely-moving-like-they-have-their-own-minds rained their own heavy bodies at the duo, attempting to either flatten them like a pancake, knock them off their feet like flies swatted by a flyswatter, or grab them and squeeze the air out of them like a boa. And it was proving to be a very tricky job, considering he had to lug around a gluttonous girl, who surprisingly didn't weigh that much, but was still a hefty load to carry around while avoiding the death strikes of the conveyor belts. Usually this wouldn't burden him the slightest, thanks to V, but today... yeah. "This place... its like it's-" He stopped mid-sentence as a searing hot something whooshed past his face, forming a clean cut over his cheek. But before he could even get a clear view of whatever it was, even more of those searing hit something zipped past them, accompanied by dozens of loud and periodic bangs and blammos from behind them. The things struck the floor, ricocheted off the steel beams and machinery with loud echoing clanging noise that reverberated through the whole factory. He couldn't exactly categorize it properly, but one thing's for sure, that guy's firing a gun. Like mad. And he's pissed. Real pissed. He thought himself as quite lucky that he managed to stay alive even after all that, coming out with nothing but a scrape. Ah, but can't he start thinking about his luck some other time? Right now they're confronting live mad conveyor belts and a guy with a gun. So far they could at least deduce that the guy was from one of the mafias who owed the factory, but the living factory? Hm... Was it related to that sorta disturbing thing he saw earlier...? His thought process halted as one of the searing hot bullet managed to dig a deep trench on his thigh, causing him to gasp in pain and fall flat on his face- no, on his back. Realizing he was still carrying the girl, at the last minute he spun on his heel, causing him to hit the ground first. HARD. Seeing as he WAS lugging someone in the first place, so the fall was much harder than usual. "Ow... you really need to cut down on the grease..." He muttered in annoyance, rubbing the sore spot on his head. Urh... that was...n't so bad, he thought as he watched the throbbing spot on his leg. Maybe he got a bit too used to care about being grazed by bullets... But that still didn't help to make it any less painful. In this situation, however, he couldn't help but not care, since... yeah. Conveyor constrictors and guy with a gun on their heels. He backed off slightly and- -hits a wooden crate of something. He stared at the crate behind him fora few seconds before a light bulb flicked to life on his head. Immediately he tipped off the unsecured lid, shoved his hand into the crate and pulled out... a G36 Assault Rifle. "As much as I don't want to admit it, I'm glad she taught me about guns," He said, as he got on his feet, checked the magazine for the ammo, well... this whole place is full of guns so he shouldn't worry too much. He cocked the weapon, raised it over to his shoulder, turned off the safety and pressed the trigger, spraying everything in front of him with hot jets of leads. "Don't worry, I won't kill him," He said through the loud explosive noise caused by the rifle. "I'm already terrible at this, so I shouldn't hit him at all," Which was actually quite true. All he intended was to make their assailant to take cover. In the meantime, they themselves could go and take some better cover. But there's still those living conveyor belts to take care off... "Damn, this place is haunted," He said offhandedly, as he backed off slowly behind one of the steel beams ...Haunted? As in, like spirits and ghosts and all that stuff? Hmm. |

Selene held her breath as a man in a business suit approached the stack of crates behind which she had been taking cover, her fingers grasping around the handle of her ritual dagger. He'd appeared to be oblivious to her presence thus far, and appeared to be more concerned about how his weapons factory was running, at least that was what Selene managed to make of his monologue as he continued to rant and rave, although the mention of that thing piqued the corporate heiress' interest. "If that damned thing has done anything to mess up my operation, I don't care what dimension it's from, I'm gonna show it the Flamengo definition of manners." So the boss wasn't solely running this show under his own resources. Now that wasn't too surprising. Even without that bizarre geometry and skewed concept of space in this place, an underground factory of this size and scope certainly appeared beyond the capabilities of your typical crime syndicate. Indeed, it'd take an organization on the scale of Wo Shing to be able to build and run and facility like this, so apparently this "Franky" chap had assistance that was not of this world, Selene thought as he began inspecting the goods, coming dangerously close to the corporate heiress' position, close enough, she thought she could even catch a whiff of the cologne that the crime boss was using. The corporate heiress received a rude start as she heard a sonic boom somewhere inside the underground complex. Could it be... "What in the hell are you doing here?" Franky spat as he finally spotted Selene, Desert Eagle in hand, and it didn't take a genius to figure out he was probably planning to 'shoot first, and don't bother with questions'. Now that wasn't a particularly dignifying end for the English heiress, considering everything she'd been through, and even though it occurred to her that she should be frightened that her life was completely in the hands of this crime lord, at the moment she just felt frustrated that this was the way she would meet her end. "Lucky blighter, you..." Selene murmured as she stared defiantly at the mob boss - at least she wasn't about to give him the satisfaction of watching her beg for her life before shooting her. However, it would seem it simply wasn't her time yet, as another sonic boom reverbated through the facility, enough to distract the crime boss such that he ended up firing a shot in the air. And that was where the corporate heiress' survival instincts kicked in and galvanized her body into action. Seizing the box lid by one end, Selene would then attempt a one-two combo by first swinging her makeshift weapon at Franky's arm in a bid to knock the pistol out of his hand, followed by slamming it downward on his head in an attempt to knock him out before throwing it down and running away. Where? She didn't know and she didn't care, as long as it took her away from him. Down one lane, round a corner and then down another lane the corporate heiress ran, although she didn't fail to notice something unusual... what happened to the machines' conveyor belts? She was certain that their conveyor belts were still intact when they first arrived but now they were gone? Selene found the answer to her question soon enough as she saw the conveyor belt for one of the machines, now moving as if possessing a life of its own. How it appeared to be aware of the corporate heiress' presence despite lacking any form of sensory organs (even golems at least needed a pair of gemstones to be enchanted as its eyes) was another mystery, but magic works in all sorts of crazy ways, and this thing Selene concluded was probably more of a remote-controlled animated object than an autonomous construct. But as it reared up like a cobra ready to strike, Selene wasn't about to stand there and present herself as a stationary target. The corporate threw herself to the ground as the conveyor belt lashed out at her, narrowly avoiding its strike as it smashed into a stack of crates, spilling ammunition magazines and wooden splinters all around. Already the corporate heiress had her ritual dagger out and made a cut upon the palm of her hand, the blood oozing from the wound taking on a luminescent quality as a magical aura enveloped her body. "Come hither, Valkyrie!" Selene shouted as she flicked her hand, sending a splash of now-glowing blood onto the floor, as a glowing circle of interlacing runes and lines materialized on the floor. The center of the circle glowed particularly brightly as it emitted a column of light and from it emerged the lithe, armored form of a Valkyrie warrior, bathed in the glow of the summoning circle and armed with her massive claymore, planted downwards in the ground with its handle facing up. ![]() The conveyor snake struck again, but this time the English heiress was simply snatched up by her summoned warrior as the Valkyrie carried her summoner over a shoulder and jumped out of the way of its attack, before lopping off two pieces of the conveyor snake's body with two swings of her claymore, shortening it somewhat before putting Selene down somewhere relatively safe, turning her attention back to the conveyor snake as she held her claymore in a firm, two-handed grip. |

Dangerously Cheesy.

Yuki let out a gasp as she felt the two of them fall backwards toward the ground. The girl crashed on top of him and accidentally crushed him under her weight--well, maybe not "crushed" as she was still fairly light, but she didn't much appreciate the comment about her eating habits. "Ow...you really need to cut down on the grease..." "I think there are more important things to focus on right now than my fantastic metabolism." Uncharacteristic outbursts? She must've really been under some stress, especially since she hadn't noticed-- "OMIGAWD you're bleeding! Did you get hit? You've been shot!!" Oh look! She finally noticed. Yuki ducked behind a stack of crates as the bullets whizzed past them, Nora also plummeting quickly to ground level to take similar cover from the aerial assault. Yuki reached up toward the boy who insisted on standing where he was, trying to pull him back to safety, but to her dismay he instead went for the contents of the boxes she was hiding behind. "Seth-kun, wh-what are you...!" With the assault of close-range gunfire, the girl threw her hands up to cover her ears and reacted by clenching her eyes shut. What on earth was she doing down in this factory? She was wrapped up in her still-damp black trench coat, she'd lost her hat somewhere (probably in the swimming fiasco), her and her friends' lives were on the line against a team of mafia members and possessed factory parts, and one of her recent acquaintances was now opening fire in defense. It was scary to see someone her own age handling a weapon of that caliber--even the fact that he knew HOW was unnerving (though somewhat of a relief in terms of defense). "Damn, this place is haunted," Seth commented seemingly to himself, although Yuki overheard. The girl glanced around, taking a closer look at her surroundings. If there was anything "haunted" about this place she would be the first to know. And from what she could tell, Nora was the only thing spiritual about this place. "No...this is something else. Maybe magical or mechanical, but not spiritual. Trust me on this one," she replied quietly, having no idea what was going on with the interior of this underground factory. Their attacker took a momentary break to get behind some cover of his own, not anticipating the kids to fire back at him. Hearing the lack of gunfire from far away, Nora was the one to step in. She nudged Seth (aware that walking in front of him was probably a bad idea) and pushed Yuki to standing so the two could follow after her. Yuki was taken aback when the spirit guardian pulled another gun out of the open crate with her mouth and thrust it at the girl who held it like it was contaminated. "N-Nora?! I don't know how to use this!" she cried as the guardian gave her little time for argument by shoving her in the direction opposite that from which they were being shot at. Before she was shoved too far, she took hold of Seth's wrist with her free hand whether or not he'd stopped firing and pulled him along. "Come on, we can't stay here! We need to get somewhere where we have a chance to regroup and wrap up your leg in case a major artery was hit!" she insisted with a tug. Yuki ran behind Nora who was slicing at oncoming conveyor belts, focusing on putting distance between them and their attacker until they could come up with a plan, or at least give Seth some impromptu medical attention. Hopefully they would run into Jonny or Selene, but it was hard to say given the factory's tendency to defy physics. |

Franky calmed himself after the sonic boom, his ears still ringing. Unfortunately for him, he found his gun being knocked aside by the very lid had been intending to retrieve, before it made a quick meeting with his cranium. The man felt his body grow limp, falling to the floor, as the brat began to make a break for it. His men proceeded to give chase, before the floor rose up like the cheap gag in a jack in the box. The two landed a few moments after, close to Seth and Yuki, no less. Jonny managed to twist himself around so he landed feet first into the machinery, giving him the chance to quickly glance at the 'creature' that had just sent him flying. Tossing the nearby thug aside, he leapt upwards as the conveyor belt attacked again. It collided with the mass of metal, the feedback doing some damage to its structure. That damage, which coupled with Jonny's subsequent supersonic spinning, soon resulted in the outright destruction of much of the belt as the teen's foot slammed down, kinetic force erupting outwards into the target. "Fast... and the power doesn't occur within this realm naturally. Fascinating..." A curious eye wandered over the image of the child with super speed. However, it's eye turned again, this time looking upon the two fighting side by side. Their almost opposite reactions to the situation were amusing. "One is a biological horror waiting to happen. The other has potential, but not the will to wield it." And then its view focused upon the corporate heiress, or more specifically, what she had just called to the battlefield. "A valkyrie. I would not expect a warrior of the Elemental Realm to be here. This will be interesting." It snapped its finger again, its power surging. "But how sad is it Franky, that you cannot entertain me as these children do? And after all those months, I had such high hopes." The limb exploded in a mass of previously non-existent flesh, before reforming into a humanoid form. Energy turned to matter, and fibres were woven into something akin to certain attire that the upper echelons of the mortal world wore. In reflection of his age, hair sprouted from the forming head, gray in its colour. Physical form now complete, the being emerged from the ground in front of the unconcious Franky, the body seeming to transition out of the very stone that made up the floor. And with this body rose a cane, as it was a feature that it had enjoyed resting upon in excursions to the human world. Arming itself with a sinister grin, it raised its arm towards the resting criminal, willing to serve as judge, jury and - most satisfyingly - executioner. ![]() "Your six passings of the full moon have come and gone. The contract fulfilled. You claimed your criminal empire, fledgling though it may have been. And as was agreed by the contract between us, client and Architect..." It's hand clenched into a fist, power eminating from the entity. "This realm... is MINE. And with it, I shall take my revenge for the scorn you delivered upon me." It's booming voice stretched across the entire factory. A simple gesture of its recently formed hand resulted in a cage of stone spiralling into existence around Franky, as it turned its head towards the general direction of the valkyrie and her summoner. "But first, I shall enjoy myself further. Don't go anywhere." The Architect laughed, mocking the plight of the man who it had to put up with for half a year. Thankfully, this human had failed to read the fine print. Leaping across the factory, it landed near where Selene and her valkyrie were fighting one of the creations it had unleashed. Its little trip could have been spotted by anyone in the factory, especially after the deal with the voice. "Good day, ladies. Excuse me, but I could not help but notice that one of you is none other than one of the famed valkyries. I was hoping you could put on a good show for me; before you die of course." It stamped down the cane into the machinery it stood atop, a resonating boom across the area. The conveyor belt reared up, as nearby parts flew off towards it, as if drawn by a powerful magnet. However, it became evident that there was more at work here, as the ceiling rose up, to give the growing monstrosity room in which to stand. There was a roar as the creature was completed, the conveyor having moved from being an independent life of its own, to the spinal structure of a titan built from the metal around it, large enough to dwarf apartment blocks. As the Architect grinned wildly, the titan raised its massive fist, before bringing it down towards the valkyrie. The strike would be followed up by a wide swing of its other - and equally massive - fist, using monstrous strength alone in order to try and bring down the claymore wielding denizen of another world. |
