Although Yang sat on the lounge beside Jen with a dignified posture, there was a slight slouch apparent in her shoulders. She was growing a little impatient. "Look alive, Jen-san." Holding an empty bottle of water in her lap. "I will keep the clerk busy while you excuse yourself to the restroo--" The group of salary men raced passed them, each one trying to beat each other to the door like it was every man for himself. Yang blinked, maintaining her composure to the best of her ability. She gulped quietly, not looking at Jen but clearly speaking to her. "...Ghost, huh." The clerk was standing up behind his counter, watching the last of the men DING DONG out the door. "Well lucky you..." He looked down at Jennifer and Yang. "A room just opened up." Still scratching his head at what just happened. ~*~ "COME ON, YAA!" Fuu hollered, abandoning conventional methods of cardiopulminary resuscitation, thumping a fist square into Mitsuko's chest. "DON'T GIVE-UP ON ME, LITTLE MAN!" She stopped just after that last thump and watched Mitsuko's body shimmer, before the girl woke up, splattering and coughing all over the place, gasping for breath. "Oh thank-god you're alive, ya!" Fuu greeted, throwing her arms around the cold girl body for a second before holding her by the shoulders. "Now, what is your plan, ya~?" . . . The door sprung open, bathing the two girls in a bright light as a confused staff member looked down at them before surprise took over his features. "You're not supposed to... hey.. wait.. It's.. is it really....?" He seems to recognize Mitsuko's bone structure.... but is thinking maybe its just a look-a-like. The girl from before joins him, "Oh, and I also need some disinfec--" what she is seeing: what he is seeing: "JAEJOONG????!" They exclaimed simultaneously. "SATOSHI OHNO!" Fuu shouted back. "God. Does he look like a Korean to you, YA?!" Shaking a poor disorientated Mitsuko in her grasp at them before pulling the fake-celebrity to her feet and dragging her out the cleaning closet. Once the two girls reached the counter, they would find that Jennifer and Yang were not in the lobby. "Room 7," The clerk spoke without looking up from his game of solitaire. "Your friends are there." ~*~ Yang studied the room, deciding that it was one of the nicer ones in the place from the size alone. She smelled beer and potato based snacks which caused the skinny girl to sneer as she sat on the warm couch. She cleared the husk from her throat. "Jen-san, now that we're alone I have something important to tell you... And I will only say this once so listen carefully. I am not --- --- ---- - --" Her lips were moving but the sounds they were making couldn't be heard because the screen lit up, and the next track on the Salarymen's menu had started to play the VERY LOUD introduction of wolfmother - WOMAN. "--WE'RE HERE~~~!" Fuu announced, barely heard over the music and busting through the door with Mitsuko in tow. |

"The soonest one is... 47 minutes," the clerk replied, eliciting a displeased look from Yang as Jen looked at the other girl with a glimmer of excitement in her eye, as if waiting for the signal to go out to the back and set up a power outage... that will show them! Just imagine the power suddenly going out in their karaoke booth, and how pissed they're gonna get at the staff. They'll probably just head over to the counter and chew his head off before stomping away in frustration. And then that is where Yang will conveniently book the booth once the power comes back on. However, before they could begin their operation... “GHOST!! IT’S A GHOST!!” A group of salarymen screamed as the burst out from one of the booths scrambling in a mad dash to beat each other to the exit. Jen didn't know what happened, but she suspected that Fuu and Mitsuko had something to do with that... somehow. The purple-haired girl said nothing, instead she merely shrugged and gave an innocent look, complete with whistling. I have nothing to do with this, was what the girl's expression suggestion as she placed her hands behind her back. "...Ghost, huh." Yang commented, trying her best to regain her composure. "Well lucky you..." The clerk commented, just as confused over the turn of events as he scratched his head in bemusement. "A room just opened up." "So... Xiao Yang, shall we?" Jen winked back at Yang, being quick to capitalize on this unusual but fortuitous turn of events. She just hoped that Fuu and Mitsuko would join up with them soon enough as they entered the lounge that was just abandoned by the salarymen a while ago, number 7 - the lounge was still smelling of beer and potato snacks consumed by their previous occupants not too long ago, and while Yang sneered disdainfully, Jen wondered if they'd send someone over to clean up before they got started? "Jen-san, now that we're alone I have something important to tell you... And I will only say this once so listen carefully. I am not --- --- ---- - --" Yang had something to tell Jen, but the purple-haired girl couldn't catch the rest of it as the next number on the previous occupants' list began to play, the set apparently having its volume on full blast which muted out everything else the other girl wanted to say. "I beg your pardon Yang-san?" Jen asked as she stopped the set, just as Fuu and Mitsuko burst in. "--WE'RE HERE~~~!" The village girl announced cheerily. "So, who wants to be first?" Jen quickly digressed as she picked up a microphone while scrolling through the list of available songs. |

Mitsuko was allowing Fuu to support her weight as they walked into the room, which was pretty difficult considering their difference in height. She seemed tired and was still pretty cold so was shivering slightly. When she made it into the room the first thing she did was limp over towards the sofa and immediately fell forwards onto her face, happy to have found a comfy spot even if it meant she was taking up enough sitting space for two others. She’d just sleep here for a while, keep real quiet, and then maybe she wouldn’t be forced to sing, killing two birds with one stone. It was at that moment that Mitsuko felt something wet underneath her, soaking through the fabric of her the pelvic region of her jeans. She tried to ignore it but it didn’t last long, she bit her lip as her eyes began to water simply through the thought of how disgusting the feeling was. Suddenly the girl leapt up, landing on top of the sofa and began wiping her jeans rapidly with her sleeve of her hoodie, trying to dry the wet patch off. She had forgot that the men in this room had been drinking, one of them must have spilt their beer in the confusion that she had created, or perhaps simply through carelessness. The wet patch didn’t seem to be drying very easily and it had already soaked through all the way to her skin, Mitsuko would just have to put up with it. Slowly she sunk down onto the sofa once more although this time sitting up straight so to avoid the wet patch, though she slumped her head to the side so she could rest her head against the back cushion and get some rest. |

"Who's first? Well of course its me and -- Hey you~! What do you think you are doing sleeping, ya?!" Fuu gasped, parking her butt happily beside Mitsuko in the same patch of beer that had annoyed the more boyish one of the two girls earlier. Tapping that girl's cheeks repeatedly, "You're not dead again are ya~?" She teased, but this statement seemed to bring out a reaction in Yang, who was sitting beside Jen with her arms cross. "Is it a joke?" She asked with an arched brow and a edgy tone, "I don't find it funny." "Huff.." Fuu stopped prodding the pretty face and instead reached that hand overhead, grabbing for the phone. "I'm calling the joke police--" She stuck out her tongue and winked. Yang shrugged, joining Jen in grabbing a microphone as they put their heads together, leaning closer to look at the menu together. Out of habit, Yang traced her spidery finger all the way down the page as she searched for her jūhachiban code -- "her song." "---three winter melon juicebox please~ One bottle of water please~ 12 piece takoyaki please~ .... Please make that two for takoyaki please~ Will call for more later~ Okkai! Sankyuu~" She didn't appear to be familiar with any Korean snack foods available here. Fuu's manicured fingers pressed the hang up on the wall-phone but she still held the corded-receiver in her hand in a menacing way. "Ya, Shii-kun! You can sleep through those two's performances, but you better keep your eyes open for mine, eheh!" Yang rolled her eyes at the jab, "So, hm, Shii-kun? Is it strange if I asked... What is your relation to Fuu-san?-- ahem... rather, what is your real name?" The girl might have been forming her response when Fuu tried her best to interject, tapping the weak girl's leg with the phone. "Wahhh no!! Don't answer that Shii-kun! I told this girl to forget her normal life for one night! Don't ruin it Hua-san, p-p-pretty please!" Yang tried a piercing gaze at Mitsuko, and backed off quietly, pursing her lips. This group didn't appear to be the shy type.... Gesturing to the remote thrown amongst the mess on the table she simply carried on from Jen's question, "Really? ... No takers?" |

While Fuu and Jen were getting all excited over what songs to start singing, Mitsuko on the other hand simply plopped onto lazily the couch while Jen and Yang went through the menu, while Fuu was quick to make an order. "---three winter melon juicebox please~ One bottle of water please~ 12 piece takoyaki please~ .... Please make that two for takoyaki please~ Will call for more later~ Okkai! Sankyuu~" Fuu ordered a round of refreshments over the wall phone, her voice sounding sweet while at the same time maintaining a somewhat menacing body language. Meanwhile, the more boyish-looking girl suddenly jumped up from her seat, and that was when Jen noticed a large wet mark on the couch which she had been sitting on - someone spilled a drink it seems, having unknowingly sat down on it some of the stuff that wet the couch has transferred over to Mitsuko's (which till now is still known only as Shii-kun) pants, as the girl now tried in vain to wipe it off. "Don't rub it! I think it might be a beer stain..." Jen said as she examined the stain on the couch. "It's still wet though - so you might wanna blot up as much of it as you can," Jen commented as she passed Mitsuko a paper towel that she took out from her bag. "But at least its not stout, cause' that would be a real bitch to remove due to its dark color... so fear not, you can still get those stains off later without damaging your pants! Just follow the steps below!" Jen declared triumphantly before beginning a slightly lengthy and rambling lecture, and somehow managing to put on a pair of prop glasses and a false mustache before beginning the lesson... To Remove a Beer Stain "Now that ain't so hard, no?" Jen gave a short laugh as she folded her arms in front of her chest. "But now, back to the show!" The purple-haired girl said as she swiped off her prop glasses and false 'stache, just as Yang tried to ask for "Shii-kun's" real name. "So, hm, Shii-kun? Is it strange if I asked... What is your relation to Fuu-san?-- ahem... rather, what is your real name?" The well-dressed, high-cass girl asked in a straightforward, no-nonsense way. Meanwhile, Fuu didn't take this so well as she interjected, tapping weakly on Yang's leg with a phone. "Wahhh no!! Don't answer that Shii-kun! I told this girl to forget her normal life for one night! Don't ruin it Hua-san, p-p-pretty please!" Yang pleaded as she went all puppy-eyed on Yang, who simply backed off after giving "Shii-kun" a stern gaze. "Come on here, Hua-san... let's not rain on Fuu-chan's parade shall we?" Jen asked cheerfully as she rested a hand on Yang's shoulder. "Really? ... No takers?" Yang asked, reiterating Jen's question from earlier. "I'll be going at it first then, unless someone has a better idea..." Jen said with a grin as she picked up her microphone as the opening instrumentals for her selected song began playing... |

Mitsuko really didn’t do well when lots of people were all talking all at the same time, it always left her feeling confused and disorientated. It all started when Fuu sat down next to her, complaining about how Mitsuko had just decided to lay down the moment they got back into the room, it was probably all in good fun and not to be taken seriously but it was still a tiny bit annoying. Whenever she used her astral projection ability it always made her feel really tired afterwards, right now she felt like she’d just woken up after a bad nights sleep which had the unfortunate side effect of making her feel just a little bit grumpy also, so if she wanted to have a lay down she’d have a lay down. It was only after Fuu had sat down beside her however did Mitsuko really start paying attention to what she was saying, particularly one word which really surprised her. “Deyid?” She asked, still a little bit shocked due to Fuu’s choice of words. Before she could elaborate on her question however she was interrupted by Yang, which spurred Fuu to stand back up and start using the phone. This left Mitsuko once again on her own, still staring wide eyed at Fuu as she ordered food for the group as the thought of what she’d just said revolved around her mind. It didn’t last long though as soon enough Mitsuko sighed deeply and sunk back down onto the sofa and closed her eyes, she was far too tired to think about things that would only serve to confuse her, besides it was probably only a joke anyway though it hadn’t been in very good taste. Before she could actually drift off however Mitsuko’s eyes snapped open once again, she had been falling asleep when the girl called Jen was talking right at her though she’d been too sleepy and not listened to the first half of her speech. Mitsuko just stared at her with glazed over eyes and a bewildered expression though she had absolutely no idea what she was talking about, something about getting rid of a beer stain. Mitsuko wasn’t worried about getting rid of the stain, she’d probably just throw these jeans in the washing machine later so her entire speech was only serving to keep her awake for longer, which came to great annoyance. When Jen handed her the paper towel she lazily reached up and took it from her, it took her a few seconds to realise what it was but when she did Mitsuko smiled back at her. This was going to be useful so she was grateful for this at least. She placed the paper towel between her legs and sunk back into the sofa once again, closing her eyes once more and trying to drift off whilst the paper towel soaked up the damp patch the beer had made in her jeans. "Ya, Shii-kun! You can sleep through those two's performances, but you better keep your eyes open for mine, eheh!" Mitsuko didn’t answer, she just raised her hand up into the air to signal Fuu that she agreed with her, even though she didn’t really care and just wanted to lay down for as long as it took for her to regain her strength, Fuu’s turn not mattering into this. She turned over on the sofa and spread out a little, laying down around the beer stain so she didn’t make the same mistake twice in a row. The others were still talking about her but she wasn’t listening anymore, that is to say Mitsuko knew that their conversations were surrounding her but she wasn’t paying attention to the words. She just wanted to rest for a little while, and it was working as Mitsuko was starting to drift off once more. Then the sound of loud music echoed across the room causing Mitsuko’s eyes to snap open, she’d been woken up once again. She raised slowly back up to a sitting position, her eye twitching slightly due to the irritation that was building up inside of her. She didn’t know why she got so grumpy when she was tired but there was nothing she could do to stop it, the only thing that was preventing her to storming off or getting angry was the fact that she knew this was the wrong situation to do so. She’d just have to try to stay awake and try to have some fun, though she was also starting to wish she’d never used her power to begin with and just waited the forty minutes. |

Things were getting loud in room 7, even though one of them was out of commission, Fuu and Yang clapped along with tambourines and their hands as Jen went like a gun. Yang admired how the genki girl's energetic voice sang lower and huskier than her speaking voice, and Fuu just admired the music video on the screen. Fuu jumped in her seat and cheered as Jen made her voice shake while holding the notes. They swayed and clapped, and Yang grabbed the mic by the second chorus, able to provide harmonies adequately and improving the overall quality of their sound. While they were doing this Fuu was lining up a whole bunch of popular Japanese songs for them to sing together. As the song ended, this one started, Fuu snatched the mic from Yang and started speaking the introduction as the boy part. ~*~ After a round of popular songs that everybody knows and could simply join in and sing, Fuu realized something odd. "Hey-- Sleepy-head..." She spoke under the loud music, plonking herself down on the edge of the seat in the middle of where Mitsuko was laying. Fuu began holding a takoyaki with a toothpick stuck in it under the girl's nose. "neeeh~ Wanna snack? I can give it to you~ But first... Just one song??" She dragged out her words in a playful way, as a weak-voiced Yang began belting out the bridge to "Listen," from the movie Dreamgirls in perfect English, but at parts not being able to hit the right notes. Still, she looked like she was having a good time using her hands to convey her passion for her number one karaoke song. "If you don't.... If you wooon't~ LISTEN!" She belted, her raspy voice squeaking at its limits. "I think my ears broke, Eheh!" Fuu tease rubbing the side of her head. From the front of the tv, Yang kept singing but lifted her long leg and kicked the empty juice box on the table all the way across with incredible flying power. Although Fuu easily leaned out of the way, Mitsuko was still laying behind her... |

"Thank you, thank you!" Jen remarked with a sugary grin during an interlude to place a "V" sign over her right eye before using the same hand making the V-sign to perform a Churchill salute as Yang and Fuu showed their appreciation towards the purple-haired girl's performance. And as the song finally hit the finale, and the notes of the closing instrumentals began to roll Jen laid down the mike on the table before giving the other girls a bow. "So... who's next?" Jen said as she plopped down onto the couch (albeit not the one with the spilled beer) before picking up an unopened juice box. "Ah, winter melon tea! Just what I need," Jen smiled as she poked her straw into the packet and took a sip of the sweet beverage - not as good as home-brewed winter melon tea, but given her current situation it was good enough for her. And next up was a duet performance from Fuu and Yang! And as the music began, Jen grooved along to the rap segment in the beginning as Fuu took the mike and opened by doing the rapping intro, while Yang sang the chorus. "Fuu-chan, Hua-san, I love yous, WOO!" Jen cheered after they finished Namie Amuro's Can't Sleep Can't Eat I'm Sick, followed by a round of applause as the three girls went through a few more songs, sticking to popularly-known ones so that everyone could join in the sing-along, at least until Fuu turned her attention to Mitsuko, who'd been doing a fine job thus far of staying unnoticed laying on the couch while the other girls were all enjoying themselves. "Hey-- Sleepy-head..." Fuu said as she went up to the short-haired girl, waving a takoyaki on a toothpick underneath her nose. "neeeh~ Wanna snack? I can give it to you~ But first... Just one song??" And while Yang was pouring out her heart to Listen, from the movie Dreamgirls in perfect English. "If you don't.... If you wooon't~ LISTEN!" Yang belted out loud in her raspy voice while Fuu rubbed the side of her head, teasing Yang on hurting her ears, up until the girl brought a leg up and kicked an empty juice box that was sitting on the table with superhuman strength - and Jen knew it better, those slender legs are in fact akin to hydraulic pistons, and before she knew it the empty juice box was sent flying across the room, Fuu easily leaned aside, but it would mean it was heading straight for Mitsuko... SMACK! "That was close!" Jen sighed in relief as her hand darted in front of Mitsuko's face, blocking the flying juicebox with the palm of her hand, only to have her hand shrink back immediately upon impact, shaking it a few times before massaging it gently - it was as if she had been smacked hard on the palm of her hand by a wooden ruler. "No harm done... the show must go on!" Jen declared cheerfully despite the palm of her hand turning red. |

Mitsuko was far too tired to make an effort to dodge the juice box, she didn’t even notice it until Jen put her hand out to block it from hitting her straight in the face, leaving Mitsuko sitting bolt upright with a startled expression as she tried to figure out what had just happened. It could have ended up pretty badly for her but at least the adrenaline rush had woken her up, though Mitsuko was starting to regret it as now she would be expected to sing next. Her eyes glanced at the Takoyaki Fuu was bribing her with, the sight caused her stomach to grumble slightly causing a sensation of nausea to fill every inch of her body. Mitsuko didn’t usually indulge in snack foods but after using her power she was left pretty hungry, the effort of astral projection seemed to use up a lot of her energy which now needed to be refilled, perhaps singing a little song wouldn’t be too much of a trade in for a quick bite to eat. Slowly Mitsuko stood up and stretched, getting a few aches out of her muscles before walking up over towards the karaoke machine. She began tapping the monitor, cycling through the songs as she tried to figure out what it was she wanted to sing. There were a lot of bands she hadn’t heard of and those that she had heard of sang pretty fast and complicated songs, Mitsuko wanted something simple, something slow. It was at that moment that the name of a song flashed up on the screen in front of her, she stared at the name and the singer who made the song famous, she knew this song. “Eyeenke?” She asked quietly to herself. Yeah, that would be easy enough. Mitusko tapped the play button and immediately the slow paced melody filled the room, with it came a nervous sensation as she realised the gravity of her situation, was she seriously going to sing in front of these girls who had been total strangers to her earlier this day? Before Mitsuko could decide to drop out however she realised she was already holding the microphone and staring at the large monitor which displayed stock footage of cherry blossoms, tapping her foot along with the rhythm so to get a feel for the pacing of the song. There was no holding back now, Mitsuko was going to do it. “BeEEgreeveeen Syenooh fyaaalllssss, eeeenthi deeeeyyiiidd moorrnninn!” The sound of Mitsuko’s singing voice was shrill, warped beyond all recognition by her thick Kansai Dialect accent, she elongated words out of habit which should have been sung softly causing her to go out of timing. Not only this but her voice was unnecessarily loud, which she tried to correct by lowering her voice but this only caused her to go way out of pitch. If this were a cartoon the glass of the monitor would have shattered already, it was certainly enough to cause even her own eardrums to sting slightly though she didn’t stop, the anxiety of the situation just kept her going despite the poor performance of her singing. “Steerreey deeegs hyeoohls eendthi feyotstips eevya Geeetchaa!” Mitsuko was sweating slightly as she stood rooted to the spot with a terrified expression on her face, she knew her singing voice was awful but she just kept going, her heart pounded faster and faster with every twisted word that came from her mouth. |

There was an amplified squeal as Yang dropped the mic out of her hand, failing to finish the last parts of her song. Nobody spoke, and the music went on without a singer till it finally cut out, letting a long silence gobble up the lively atmosphere of the room until Jen said brightly, "No harm done... the show must go on!" Which by this point Yang had walked up beside her, casting cold glance down towards Jen and her stinging red hand before making eye contact. "For it to happen like that, I am deeply sorry." Although she didn't actually sound like she was, it was the puff showing under her eyes that revealed she was holding back some emotion. "Will you two shush, ya?!" Fuu hissed after the title and singer appeared on the large screen. Mitsuko looked like a fish out of water. And she wasn't even standing up the front. Well, she probably needed to be facing the television for this song anyway -- Yang assumed that Mitsuko didn't know the words by heart. When she started singing though, Yang's eyes flickered away before covering her mouth and concealing a giggle that in all other cases would serve to humiliate others.... Whatever this wailing was, it wasn't enka. Fuu on the other hand seemed to be enjoying herself. "Wwwhhoooh!!! Turn it up cuzz I love this song, ya!" Fuu cheered as Mitsuko stumbled around timing, and mispronounced the lyrics on the screen until they turned into words borrowed from a different song from a completely different species... But Fuu was impervious to just how bad Mitsuko was singing this song. And if it were any other song she would have gotten the same treatment Yang received earlier. Just after she made some noise for her, Fuu bit down on the Takoyaki she had offered Mitsuko. "Nomnom. Its just getting to the good part~!" She said with a mouth full, leaning over to poke another onto her tiny toothpick. Only there were none. "Aww.." Fuu seemed disappointed for about a second, before she occupied herself by looking for the other mic. Yang knew where it was. It was right where she left it, on the floor at the front of the room. But she stayed her words and continued looking through the menu, idly licking her finger and turning the page. Edited by bambi, Feb 28 2011, 01:45 PM.

"For it to happen like that, I am deeply sorry." Yang commented as she noticed Jen's hand. She didn't sound as if she was sincerely apologetic about it, but knowing Yang, if she were anything like back in AHS she was often known to hide her sincerity behind a cold and impassive facade. "I've taken worse lickings," Jen replied, massaging her hand calmly. "Will you two shush, ya?!" Fuu interjected, drawing Jen's attention to Mitsuko as the short-haired girl picked up the mike, deciding at last to grace them with a performance. "Yay, Shii-kun! For the takoyaki let's hear it!" Jen cheered as she clapped her hands together before raising her hands jubilantly and sitting down quietly just as the screen displayed the title of the song and the giving credits to the original creator of the song. It was Flower of Carnage, by Meiko Kaji, and most notably it was being used as a soundtrack for "Kill Bill", directed by Quentin Tarantino. "Wwwhhoooh!!! Turn it up cuzz I love this song, ya!" Fuu cheered, seemingly oblivious to how off-key Mitsuko was singing, to the point that it didn't even sound like enka anymore. And after the country girl was done whooping and cheering for Mitsuko she would next proceed to consume the takoyaki she'd originally promised as a reward for Mitsuko after she graced them with a song. "Nomnom. Its just getting to the good part~!" Fuu talked amidst a mouthful of takoyaki as she leaned in to get another one onto her toothpick, only to find she'd already taken the last one. "Uh, Fuu-chan... didn't you promise Shii-kun you'd let her have a takoyaki if she y'know, sang us a song?" Jen reminded her 420 roomie with a slight huff and a pair of half-closed eyes as she folded her arms over her chest. "How about some yakitori instead, Shii-kun?" Jen suggested as she made an order over the wall phone, ordering a dozen skewers of dak bulgogi - pretty much the Korean answer to yakitori. That being done, Jen walked over the the front of the room to pick up the mike. "All right, one more song from me!" Jen declared as the screen displayed the song title and the intro began rolling... |

"Uh, Fuu-chan... didn't you promise Shii-kun you'd let her have a takoyaki if she y'know, sang us a song?" Hearing this caused Mitsuko to stop dead mid verse, she had almost finished the song so the outro played in the background without her horridly sung lyrics to accompany them. She had been so petrified by singing that she hadn’t noticed Fuu chowing down on the takoyaki, if she had she would have leapt at her to grab the last one from her greedy paws. Mitsuko slowly wandered forwards towards the now empty plate, she knelt down onto the floor and picked it up to look at, still a little bit in disbelief that the food which had been promised to her was now gone. This lasted for a good few seconds until finally Mitsuko sighed deeply, she fell back so that she now sat on the floor, utterly defeated by what had just happened. “Aye dun ween yeketeere aye weenen teekohyeekiii,” She muttered, mostly to herself as Jen had already started singing the next song. It wasn’t something Mitsuko wanted to bother anyone with so she placed the plate back down on the floor in front of her so that she could place her palm against her forehead, sighing once more to herself. She didn’t seem to be having quite as much fun as what she thought she would be having, maybe karaoke just wasn’t her thing, it was pretty annoying though as she was giving her best effort to try and fit in. With that thought Mitsuko raised her head back up, her eyes wide open as she just realised something. She wasn’t trying to fit in, she was trying to be like everyone else and maybe that was why she wasn’t having as much fun as she was supposed to be having. Dressing up like Satoshi Ohno, going out of her way to act first and get those guys out of the room, singing a pleasant Enka song, none of that was what she usually would have done. ((ooc: sorry short post, I've been feeling a little ill lately x_x;)) |

Just as Mitsuko stopped singing and fell backwards onto the ground, Fuu popped up like a wack-a-mole from the floor in front of the television. With Yang's missing mic in hand, she began picking up where their androgynous friend had left off. "A woman, who surrendered her body to the river of bitterness, threw herself away long ago..." It was instantly apparent that Fuu was a lot more captivating when she sang enka as apposed to when she rapped. Her nasal voice and country looks helped invoke a nostalgia for the 'old days.' But she slipped in and out of it so easily, it was not hard to see it was pure artifice... "GOsh. Depressing stuff makes me hungry." Her booming voice spoke nonchalantly in the silence that fell between songs. She put the mic down on the table as Jen made the order, mouthing the words across the table, 'takoyaki-- takooooooyaaaaaakiiiiii---' in a desperate attempt to get her request in. Yang watched the bumbling girl out the corner of her eye and answered cooly in Mitsuko's place, "No other orders? Good. Dak-bulgogi will do then, Jen-chan." Fuu looked shattered. Slumping down in a dull pit of despair that already seemed to be occupied by Mitsuko. Fuu's finger traced circles on her thigh as Mitsuko rested her head in her palm. The pair was sitting around like a sad bunch while Jen sang her dramatic and tense piece that neither Yang or Fuu recognized. "Look at you two." Yang said, not looking up from the remote as she continued punching song codes into the system to keep it running seamlessly. "Our time in here is running out. Lets make it count." She held the remote out with a smile that crinkled her nose. Fuu reached out for it, but it was moved to the space in front of Mitsuko. She pouted and muttered in a sulking way... "Why don't you like meee...?" Once Jen's sword-fighting music ended with that last long note, Fuu saw the name of Yang's song appear on the screen and giggled, forgetting all about Yang's nastiness towards her. "Hua-san is right Shii-kun! We are in a good place tonight~ We'd be stupid not to have some fun, ya!" She immediately followed Yang, tugging Mitsuko along with her to join Jen up the front swinging their hips to the music in a silly but fun kind of way. ........ "... Don'cha wishhu gyafran was HOT laikku me?! Eheh~!" Fuu was keeping her eyes on the screen to read out the English words. In the meantime, Yang pulled the mic away from her, "Don't you wish your girlfriend was a freak like me?" Don't cha, Don't cha "Don'cha wishhu gyafran wa'raw laikku me?" The next line was for Jen to sing. Edited by bambi, Mar 6 2011, 05:30 AM.

“Aye dun ween yeketeere aye weenen teekohyeekiii,” Mitsuko whimpered, although mostly to herself, although that wasn't missed by Jen, who also caught sight of Fuu mouthing the words 'takoyaki'. Nodding, Jen raised her hand and gave the other two girls an 'ok' handsign just as the kitchen assistant on the other side asked the purple-haired girl to confirm her order. "No other orders? Good. Dak-bulgogi will do then, Jen-chan." Yang gave the go-ahead. "Actually, make it a dozen skewers of Dak Bulgogi and half a dozen of takoyaki," Jen corrected herself, and when asked if that was her final decision she nodded. "That's right - a dozen Dak Bulgogi and half a dozen takoyaki it is!" Jen chirped before hanging up, just as Yang was searching through the song list. "Look at you two." Yang chimed in, not looking up from the task of entering the song code on the remote. "Our time in here is running out. Lets make it count." "Hua-san is right Shii-kun! We are in a good place tonight~ We'd be stupid not to have some fun, ya!" Fuu concurred as the song selection was confirmed, while a staff member entered the lounge with two plates - a dozen skewers of Dak Bulgogi and half a dozen takoyaki - the smell of grilled chicken and spices was starting to get Jen's saliva flowing... but first, the song! Jen chuckled as she caught the song title on the screen; Don't Cha' by the Pussycat Dolls. As the opening intro began playing Jen joined Fuu and Yang in swinging their hips to the music, with Fuu being kind enough to try and pull Mitsuko to join in the fun. While Yang sang in virtually-perfect English, Jen had to try hard to resist laughing at Fuu's 'Engrish' rendition of the lyrics as the girls took turns to sing the lines. "... Don'cha wishhu gyafran was HOT laikku me?! Eheh~!" "Don't you wish your girlfriend was a freak like me?" "Don'cha wishhu gyafran wa'raw laikku me?" [color-#9966cc]"Don't cha' wish your girlfriend was fun like me?"[/color] Jen filled in perfectly. With their allotted time running short, they might as well as make the best of it by singing as a group, joining their different vocal talents together. |

Mitsuko was powerless to prevent herself from being pulled up to her feet and dragged into the centre of the group, that didn’t mean that she was willing to sing though. Whilst Fuu, Yang and Jen sang happily around her Mitsuko stood motionless, her hands holding one another defensively in front of her chest as she watched the others quietly. It was partly because she was a little bit nervous about singing a song like this but also because she didn’t know the words, the lyrics were weird and didn’t fit the music in the way she was use to. Nether the less the more she stayed standing where she was the worse she felt, so eventually she began to get over her anxiety and turned towards the TV screen to look at the lyrics as they popped up on the screen. “Deeyunchei weeshe geyurlfirend wes feen leek me.” She recited shakily, not singing the words but just speaking them softly to herself as she was still getting use to the off timed melody, as well as fighting against her natural desire to give up and sit down. Her gaze shifted to look at Fuu again, she looked like she was having a great time, a stark contrast to how Mitsuko felt. She couldn’t help but admire how great the others were, even their hair and clothes reflected how Mitsuko wished she could be. She bit her bottom lip and closed her eyes tightly, trying to dance but her movements came out as forced and pretty jerky resulting in her bumping into Jen a few times by mistake though she didn’t seem to notice this. “Deeyunchei weeshye geyrlfirend wes heyit leek me!” She yelped loudly as soon as the chorus came again, her poor attempt at singing came out far too quickly to match the songs melody but for her it was a good effort. It actually made her feel a little better so she began to smile, with soon changed to a broad toothy grin as she started to actually dance rather than fake it. Her eyes were still closed though as it helped her forget about her current situation and just have fun. “Deecha weeshye geyrlfirend wes eh freek leek me,” Mitsuko was finally at long last singing and having a good time, her singing voice was still shrill and sounded alike to nails on a chalkboard but muffled out by the others it wasn’t so much of a problem. |
