"Kyaah~" She sounded, linking her fingers and stretching her arms. It had been a nice day, but now it was time to unwind! Which was hard to do without her friends... "Gourds, I am REALLY uninteresting when I'm by myself!"

Because the hemline of her peach-coloured sundress was quite short, Fuu was constantly fiddling with the imaginary stitches above her thigh. There had been real ones there earlier, following the events of WDA from weeks ago. But they had just been removed at the hospital this afternoon, leaving her free to stroll giddily down the slippery slope. The villager had quickly gotten used to walking in heels around this part of town, not only because she worked the area on most nights, but ever since a schoolgirl from Hyakuji had lost control of her bicycle and crashed here Fuu learned not to take this steep road for granted.

As she drew nearer towards the bottom of the hill, the number shops thinned and the sock-world kiosk which usually waited at the bottom of the road had packed up and moved away. Only one place worth hanging out at was still around.

"Wait.. this is actually really refreshing, ya~" She tried to convince herself. "At least when I'm all alone, I'll get to sing more, eheh!"

And it might have worked, because for the moment Fuu appeared to be in bright spirits. But all that could go to hell the moment her eyes caught the fold-out sign standing in front of the Korean Karaoke joint. It was a real kick in the teeth to see a promotion lingering around before Valentines day that read:

COUPLES-SING 50%DISCOUNT~!
two for one offer this week~

In this moment where money was concerned, Fuu was really starting to miss her gal-pals. Or maybe even a boy toy... Instead she just squatted pitifully beside the sign decorated with love hearts, gave a defeated sigh, and shamelessly reached a hand down her collar!

Rummage rummage rummage...

It was a modest little clothing boutique, a family business. Rows of skirts, dresses, trousers, shirts, jumpers and many different forms of attire lined the walls, either on display or neatly stored away on their individual hangers in racks. There were only three people in the boutique; The shop owner who was a friendly looking woman with a permanent smile across her face as she waited patiently behind the counter. Another young woman who was currently holding up a dress to herself and looking in a mirror to try and judge what she would look in it. And Mitsuko.

She had been staring at the clothes for about half an hour now, rooted to the spot as she tried to conceder her options. She had been given a weekly allowance from her parents which was to be sent to her in the mail at the start of every month, she had already been given the first amount in a brown envelope before she had boarded the plane to travel to this town, added to the taxi fare which she had ended up not having to pay due to it not being the correct amount which resulted in her being kicked out in the middle of the street, and that meant she had enough to buy something special for herself. At this moment Mitsuko was staring at a summer dress, trying to imagine what she would look like in it though the thought was hard to keep in her mind.

Her eyes glanced down to her own clothing; A black hooded top which she had been wearing for the past few days which currently had a stain on the front due to a spilt cola earlier this very morning. Blue stonewash jeans, in which she owned several of, this particular pair being fairly ripped due to its long service to her. Red converse trainers, which were falling apart from the amount that she had walked in them. Soon after her eyes darted back up to the dress and she paused for a moment, she could feel her cheeks heating up warning her that she was blushing. Mitsuko didn’t know why the sight of this was affecting her so much but she didn’t like it. The girl turned away from the dress and headed straight to the door of the shop, intending on leaving but before she could get there her eyes fell upon a display of accessories and once again she stopped dead in her tracks.

Slowly Mitsuko reached forwards, picking up a small ribbon intended to be worn in ones hair, and stared at it. Her hair was far too short to make wearing such an accessory practical, it was useless to her, utterly useless.

---------------------------

A few minutes later and Mitsuko had left the shop, her hands in her pockets as she walked down the steep road back towards the school. Or at least she thought this was where she had to go to get back to the school, she hadn’t bothered to remember the route yet so for now she was just winging it. With her head hung down she slowly took her right hand from out of her pocket and opened her hand up in front of her face so she could look into the palm of her hand, she still held the ribbon, it was still useless, but she liked looking at it regardless.

Suddenly Mitsuko realised she was walking into another girl so immediately halted and swerved to avoid bumping into her, shoving her hand and the ribbon back into the pouch of her hooded top and manoeuvring around her though she almost tripped as she did so.

“Seeeorry,” She apologised, smiling anxiously as she did so. It was weird of her to apologise like this for almost bumping into someone, she knew she hadn’t been looking where she was going so it was entirely her own fault but still, she usually couldn’t be asked with politeness.

Fuu had her phone up to her ear the whole time Mitsuko was drawing closer, staring mindlessly at a vacant lot across the road while waiting for Jen to pick up on the other end. If she had been paying attention she would have gladly stood up and moved for Mitsuko. Of course by doing so she would be moving INTO her way, on account of sitting beside signage that normal people didn't walk into to begin with. It was probably better for the both of them that the bimbo had stayed put.

"Hmph. Busy tone..." She grumbled, just as an awkward caw rang through the bottom of the hill. Fuu looked up to the sound and all around before clumsily landing her eyes on a tiny boyish girl, and surprisingly enough, a hand on the hem of her hoodie! Fuu gripped the worn fabric between her thumb and pointer, for a short moment, before it slipped out of her grasp. After all, Mitsuko had been following through with a fluid step-around when Fuu had tried to snag her.

"--Sorry, eheh!" She giggled, looking up at the girl dressed in street casual. Her smile started to fade into an embarrassed one upon sight of the girl's shoes. Maybe too casual. Bending her knees and pushing herself up to her full height, (5'7'' with heels on,) she put a perfectly manicured hand behind her neck and said weakly,

"Don't get the wrong idea." She clipped her phone shut and snuck it in between her boobs. "I was just trying to catch ya, eheh~"

But before they could be off on their own different paths, something inside Fuu's mind had clicked causing her expression to grow very wide and excited.

"YOUUUU~! You-you-you-you you are just what I need~!" She squeaked very quickly clasping her hands together. She spoke in a giddy schoolgirlish way, clearly not understanding that with the words she was using, her stranger would definitely be getting the wrong idea.

It had been a very simple misunderstanding, she had almost accidentally walked into this girl, yet for some reason the situation was over complicated beyond all reasonable levels for Mitsuko. She felt a sudden tug on the hem of her hoodie, jolting her back slightly and causing her to spin around on the spot, leaving an incredibly confused Mitsuko standing in the middle of the sidewalk. The girl apologised to her for doing that but all she could think about was why did she do that in the first place? As the girl raised herself up Mitsuko was just about to ask her what she wanted, she had her mouth open, her finger raised, and she’d already taken a breath inwards, when the orange haired girl spoke up before her.

“Don’t get the wrong idea.”

Mitsuko’s dumb look she sported switched to a look of bewilderment at the sight of the girl slipping the phone between her boobs. She was also shocked by how much taller this girl was than her, making her wonder if she was foreign, or perhaps half bred. Mitsuko’s eyes darted down to the girl’s cleavage, then immediately afterwards down to her own although her baggy hooded top didn’t help to show off her body form whatsoever, let alone show her cleavage. Suddenly a moment of realisation and horror came to her, why did this girl do that in the first place? Was she trying to make her look at her cleavage? Why had she grabbed her in the first place? What did she mean by all of this? Yet again however, before her train of thought could go any further Mitsuko was shocked once more by this girl speaking loudly, causing her to jump back slightly and look up at the orange haired girl. Her eyes wide open once again in shock.

“YOUUUU~! You-you-you-you you are just what I need~!”

Slowly Mitsuko’s eyes glazed over from behind her red tinted sunglasses. It was just like in the shop again, she could feel her cheeks warming up signalling her that she was blushing again. An intense wave of anxiety washed over her, causing her to go weak in the knees slightly.

“..aeye.. aeye.. aeye.. weeyuuuut deedya seyay?” She asked sheepishly.

At first Fuu was just trying to stop the stumbling girl from tripping over, but now she had other ideas for the blushing tomboy.

"Ha-what? Can't hear ya, you're too quiet," Fuu said spiritedly, "speak louder!" Adjusting the flower behind her ear. "Shut up!" Interjecting before Mitsuko could say a word. "Do you have any plans for tonight? Well cancel them, eheh! You're coming with me, Fuu Wakamurasaki, eheh!"

Fuu felt the girl might need a little zhoosh before they strutted into the place. Stepping back and looking the girl up and down, she deviated off her usual idea of style. Instead of enhancing Mitsuko's feminine features, Fuu was thinking more along the lines of disguising them. When she was ready to start, the village girl closed in on the stranger and began plucking her clothes, and even popping her hood up if she'd let her.

"Whoever you were, forget about her. Tonight, you're Satoshi Ohno!" Because maybe a Korean karaoke place owner might be feeling a little more generous if she walked in with a singer from a popular Japanese band as her date?! She was an idiot if she beleived that plan would actually work. Someone should tell her that.

"Okay~ Shii-kun?"

When told she was being too quiet Mitsuko opened her mouth wide and held her finger up in the air in front of her, deciding to take the girls advice and speak up. Before she could make a sound though the girl quite loudly told her to shut up, once again resulting in Mitsuko lowering her hand and tilting her head to one side, still with her mouth wide open but now with a confused look about her. Mitsuko managed to shake this sensation off though as the girl introduced herself as Fuu Wakamurasaki, her eyes glanced to the side, looking down the road where she was originally intending on going as an anxious smile spread across the side of her mouth.

“Eeyis thiyeet seyo..” She replied, a nervous laugh breaking up her words slightly as she considered running away from this awkward situation as quickly as possible. Before she could do this however Mitsuko once again found her being pulled about by this other girl, her hair was messed up though it was messy to start with, her hood was popped up, whatever this Wakamurasaki wanted to do to her she was able to do so with little resistance as Mitsuko was still to confused and embarrassed by the entire situation to put up a fight.

“Okay~ Shii-kun?”

Nicknames, wasn’t it a little bit too early for that? Well if this Wakamurasaki wanted to shorten her last name down it was her choice, so long as she was respecting Mitsuko’s wish to be refered to by her last name then she really didn’t care. Afterall, there were more important things at hand.

“Eeyohneoh-heyaaan?” She replied in surprise, “Theeyit wawn’t wowk aye eyain’t toll eyneff indyenywey Eeyohneoh-heyan eyis frem Teyokyo aint hiii seeeooh ayedun seyound..”

Mitsuko stopped herself mid sentence, partly because she couldn’t believe she was being so easily lead into doing this by a complete stranger, almost letting this girl force her along with her plan. Though it was mostly because Mitsuko realised that by complaining she was letting this girl know just how much she knew about the idol, which was a secret she wanted to keep to herself. If anyone knew she paid any attention to celebrities then the embarrassment would just kill her.

Jen strolled down the busy downtown street, past the rows of stores, eateries and other business establishments - the lilac-haired girl was dressed in a pair of Converse sneakers and denim jeans, along with a blue T-shirt with yellow accents, over which she wore a long-sleeved red tartan flannel shirt. She remembered this street - she recalled it was on that day, on this very street where Yuki had that unfortunate little accident which ended up with a clothing stall getting trashed, and how she, along with Fuu and Yuki ended up buying everything that was on sale as a compensation for the damages done.

As Jen walked down the part of the street that covers a slope, the purple-haired girl unconsciously slowed down her pace, as if mindful of the past incident that has occurred and didn't want to get into an accident of her own. Is there going to be another runaway bike that was going to come careening down the hillside again? Thankfully, nothing of the sort happened as she strolled down what she nicknamed "Jinx Lane" - today, no unlucky incidents... so far. Outside of the Majikku Mall, this appeared to be another hot spot for fashionistas, as Jen took note of how a good number of business outlets in this area happened to be boutiques.

And finally, level ground once more - and that was when Jen spotted her 420 roommate, Fuu-chan, dressed in a peach-colored sundress over which she wore a white blazer. It was a good thing to know at least, she'd healed up nicely from that nasty cut she got from Steel Wind those weeks before. And along with her was another girl - black hoodie, stonewash jeans, red Converse trainers, red tinted sunglasses, short black hair... kind of similar tastes in clothing as herself, she had to admit. And Fuu appeared to be talking to her. "Hello, Fuu-chan!" Jen called out to the village girl and waved before jogging over to Fuu's side. "Making a new friend I see?" Jen asked as she looked at Mitsuko with a smile.

"Oh you funny girl, I thought I told you to shut up, eheh!"
Fuu eventually giggled, obviously thinking her accent was some kind of joke. "Well, only until we get into the private room, ya got it-- Eeeeh??"

Hearing her name being called out, she turned her head to the left and saw Jen approaching. "Boy am I glad to see you, Jen-chan~!" Her tone became more friendlier, resting a hand on Jen's shoulder, (the one that was closest to Fuu.) "Mhm, this is Satoshi Ohno," She gestured towards Mistuko. Fuu was glad that the girl was wearing sunglasses because it helped accentuate the celebrity look. "We're gonna sing-kay together, ya, you in?"

"Ahh--tsk..." Fuu suddenly seemed disappointed. "Talk about bad timing. Now that there's three of us here, we can't go as a 'couple' anymore. Ooooooooh well.... Looks like you're free to go, Shii-kun." She spoke lightly, waving the girl off. But before Mitsuko could have a chance to step away,

"Ahem." Someone cleared the husk from their throat behind them.

Fuu glanced over her shoulder, before completely tearing apart from Jen in a startled step backwards, watching the new arrival with wide eyes. She was a dressed in a casual/corporate style and stood just a little bit taller than Jen. Although her long stork like legs seemed to make up a large part of her height. The black pencil skirt matched her pencil build and her cleanly pressed white shirt was tucked, revealing an incredibly tiny waist.

"Hua-san!!" Fuu crossed her arms, ignoring the other two for now. "What are you doing here?!"

"I just got off from work and was waiting for the the bus home. I couldn't help but notice... you were a person short. Hmm... I think you already know what I am getting at."
Fuu looked at Jen and Mitsuko. "nope! eheh!"
"So you're really just going to send that person off? It's a bit rude to just use somebody like that, don't you think? Seeing people as disposable tools is not healthy. After all, that person was kind enough not to turn YOU away when you asked for their help."

At this point Fuu was crouching on the curb, holding her chest in the place where those harsh words had impaled her.

"Hello, my name is Hua Syaoyan, its nice to meet you both." She dipped her chin slightly at the two and smiled a smile that crinkled her nose. Her eyes lingered on Jen almost as long as they had stayed on Mitsuko before extending a hand to the purple haired one, "Shall we?"

Kind enough to help her out when she asked for her help!? This Hua-san probably didn’t fully understand Mitsuko’s predicament. She wasn’t going along with this Fuu girl because she really wanted to, everything had been happening so fast and this Fuu girl was so hyped up and persuasive that Mitsuko was simply being given no choice but to play along. It therefore made no sense that when she told Mitsuko that she could leave she sighed in relief and was almost ready to turn and leave when the arrival of yet another newcomer stopped her in her tracks.

Now all Mitsuko could do was watch in silence whilst she waited to see what they were going to be doing, trying to decide if she should go along with this or just walk away right there and now. Yet there was still one nagging feeling in the back of Mitsuko’s mind which prevented her from doing this, she had come to this town from Osaka and hadn’t met anyone she really could call a close friend, even back in her home town she had had Nobu and a few other smaller friendships. Perhaps she could just play along with this, keep to herself and follow these girls around for a bit. They seemed to know one another well and had some sort of idea of what they were going to be doing, so it wouldn’t exactly hurt if Mitsuko tagged along, she had nothing else to do today and maybe she’d, dare she say it, make some friends.

“Hyeld en..” She blurted out suddenly, before they could walk into the karaoke joint, “Yew wan Eyohneoh-hyan.. Aye cin, geyivya Eyohneoh-hyan..”

Mitsuko reached up into the hood of her black hooded sweater and began slicking her hair back repeatedly, keeping it out of her face so that her different coloured hair wouldn’t give the game away so easily. Afterwards she twisted around on the spot and with her back to the other girls she reached up underneath and inside of her hoodie and began adjusting herself, she didn’t really want to see them doing this so she had to be quick about it. Shortly afterwards she span back around and tightened her belt up, before brushing her hands down her jeans and tugging her hoodie downwards to smarten up her clothing. It wasn’t perfect, after all Satoshi Ohno was still a good seven inches taller than her in real life, but through wearing such a baggy hoodie to conceal her breasts and by hiding her darker hair she now almost looked the spitting image of the idol. This was however considering that Ohno was a fairly anomalous appearing man to begin with.

“Eeeeh cummuuuuuun leyit’s du thees..” Mitsuko said confidently, trying her hardest to lower the sound of her voice in order to imitate the idol, though her accent was still obviously prominent despite her efforts. Unexpectedly to follow this on Mitsuko jumped up slightly and performed a little dance, similar to one she had seen Ohno do before on the television. Of course she daren’t tell anyone she had recorded his stage performance and learned the dance routine over the course of a month in her bedroom back in Osaka.

"Boy am I glad to see you, Jen-chan~!" Fuu spoke in a more friendly and cheerful tone as Jen made her way over to her side, and as soon as she did the country lass rested an arm around Jen's shoulder. "Mhm, this is Satoshi Ohno," Fuu said as she gestured towards the black-haired girl in sunglasses.

"Fuu-chan, I'm pretty certain that Satoshi Ohno is- wait, nevermind..." It was clear that the girl who stood in front of them is undoubtedly a girl, even if she didn't dress in a particularly feminine way, but Jen was certainly sharp enough to tell the differences. But then again, Fuu's mind works in weird and unusual ways and Jen saw no point in raining on Fuu's parade. For now, she would simply play along.

"We're gonna sing-kay together, ya, you in?" the village girl asked.

"Well, I don't see why not - I could sure spend more time in group activities after all," Jen replied as she caught sight of the fold-out sign announcing their V-day special during the season where love is in the air, and all couples get a 50% discount, which means they could get twice the usual singing hours! Now is that cool or what? Except that they are now a threesome.

"Talk about bad timing. Now that there's three of us here, we can't go as a 'couple' anymore. Ooooooooh well.... Looks like you're free to go, Shii-kun." Fuu spoke dismissively as she appears poised to wave the other girl off.

"Fuu-chan! Isn't she a new friend of yours?" Jen interjected, just as yet another girl showed up, bearing a face that was instantly recognizable to Jen, as the purple-haired girl's eyes lit up from the recognition. "Xiao Yang?" Jen blurted at the sight of the willowy-looking girl who just showed up. But was it really her? She hadn't seen her AHS classmate ever since the multiverse was restored to its original state, so whether this was the same Yang whom she hadn't seen since then, or was it just another alternate reality twin... it remains to be seen. But personality-wise it was clear they were similar, if not the same person. Of surprise to Jen as well was that Fuu also appeared to know Yang as she acknowledged the sharply-dressed girl's arrival.

And that was when Yang began her little lecture, just like the one Jen knew, she was as blunt as ever, even though it was ultimately a piece of good advice. "Hello, my name is Hua Syaoyan, its nice to meet you both."
Syaoyan... Xiao Yang; so the accent is a little different, but as far as personality went they were pretty much the same girl, and Jen could already find herself feeling right at home with this girl as she smiled broadly.

"The name's Jennifer Chase, but you can call me Jen!" The purple-haired girl replied cheerfully. "That makes two couples now, so I suppose all's good and ready!" She nodded at Yang's suggestion. Fuu could use some rapport-building with the other girl after all, and Jen had some questions of her own, so as it currently went, this set pairing made the most sense.

"Wow, you can dance?" Fuu uttered watching Mitsuko before getting up off the curb, "Alright calm down ya, we're going in, Shii-kun!"

~*~

The clerk behind the counter was busy trying to get his wooden chopsticks to pick up the little curly strands of Shin Ramyun left at the bottom of the empty polystyrene cup. Scraping away at the tiny scraps, he eagerly looked up when a small group strutted passed the motion-sensor eliciting a electronic chime, DING DONG~
At the front was Jennifer and Yang, with the tallest girl Fuu and the shortest one following behind.

Are these highschool kids or idols??? he eyed the attractive-looking group with a weary expression. "Oso-oseiyo."

"2 hours for starters please~!" Fuu piped up from the back.
"2800yen please." He clicked away at the notebook.
"Eh? But Oji-san, what about the discount? We have two couples. I come here all the time and I always bring friends, ya! You didn't seem to argue when I brought over six-nee and twentythree-san, eheh~!"
He stood up, pushed his glasses down and studied Fuu. "In that case, 3000yen please." before sitting back down.
Fuu suddenly remembered how her friends refused to give him their phone number. "Oji-sannnn...."

As Jen would recall quite well, Fuu was never one to have any luck in business dealings. That's when Yang gestured for Mitsuko to follow behind her, enough for the shop keep to notice "Ohno's" presence, but his view would be obscured by the sharply dressed representative. Stepping up to the counter, Yang peered at the seated man down the barrel of her perfectly structured nose. Instead of addressing him though, she simply opened her clutch, pulled out a lollipop phone, pressed a number on the speed dial and held it to her ear.

"Hello, driver? Yes, the man at reception is giving the young master and company a hard time.... Yes, bring the car around." Her eyes slid to oji-san, giving him a dirty look. "And a few of the boys as well..."

"Eh wait wait wait wait-- " Is there no such thing as law and order in this town? sheesh! "There's no need to get catty, here let me book you guys into a room, 1400yen. Two hours did you say?"

Yang smiled, somewhat surprised that he called her bluff. There was a few taps at his computer.

"Oh..." He looked up at them sweating. "This is embarrassing, looks like all the rooms are booked at the moment."

With a hand resting on the counter, Yang turned back to consult the others. All this trouble to get to this point and now what were they going to do?

Mitsuko kept silent as Fuu and Yang did their things, they seemed to know this place well and understood how it worked so she knew by speaking up she’d probably risk getting the price raised even more. Three thousand yen split between the four of them would be seven hundred and fifty yen each, granted they split the cost evenly. Mitsuko certainly had enough to pay that though it would eat away the last of her spending money, so a small discount certainly wouldn’t hurt. When Yang gestured for Mistsuko to follow her she did so, still keeping silent she tried to look as confident as possible, trying to give off the impression that she was actually Ohno by acting as if this entire situation was beneath her effort and was simply letting the girls do all the work for her. It seemed to pay off though as the price was lowered, which caused Mitsuko to smile slightly.

This moment of happiness was halted almost immediately though when the news came that all the rooms were already booked. Mitsuko looked around the room, at all the different doors leading to the different karaoke rooms. They could of course just wait for their rightful turn but that might be hours and even then they may have to settle for a smaller room, which was something Mitsuko couldn’t be bothered to deal with. Slowly Mitsuko slipped out of sight, trying to do so unnoticed whilst the two girls Jen and Yang kept the clerk distracted. As she walked away from the group she tapped the girl Fuu on the back, signalling for her to follow though she hoped she would do so without drawing too much attention to herself in the process.

Silently Mitsuko walked across the lobby and slipped behind a corner, which lead into a corridor with a few more doors leading to different rooms, though these were mostly staff rooms and maintenance closets. She lowered herself downwards and sat down on the floor with her back against the wall, peering around the corner one last time to make sure that she hadn’t been spotted before leaning back out of sight again.

“Dun fryeek kayout. Culdya meyake sheyor nuthin byaad heyapyens tu mye?” She asked quietly as she closed her eyes and began focusing on her task at hand. Mitsuko recalled the steps of meditation she had been taught by Nobu, it was all in controlling her breathing, emptying her mind of all thoughts, finding internal peace with the goal of reaching enlightenment, simple. As she did this her heart slowly began to slow down, causing a chill to spread across her body and her skin to turn a deathly pale as the blood within her circulated less and less without the assistance of her heart. And then, with the final beat, her head slipped to the side. With every sense of the word Mitsuko was technically dead at this moment.

Immediately afterwards however something began to rise out of her body, a white translucent figure wearing a large straw hat known as a kasa, and a kimono which hung loosely around its body. The figure looked fairly similar to Mitsuko, at least it would have looked fairly similar to Mitsuko, this ghostly apparition was much older and its face was covered by a plain mask which gave no suggestion as to who it actually was. As quickly as it had came however Mitsuko’s astral form floated gracefully downwards, its feet moving through the floor of the building as if it weren’t even there, disappearing from view as it sunk downwards into the floor beneath them. Leaving the still cold Mitsuko still slumped up against the wall with her head hanging to one side.

"Two hours sounds good," Jen chimed in as the four girls approached the counter at the front, although the purple-haired girl smile quickly faded as the clerk manning the counter stated the price... whatever happened to the discount? But somehow, Fuu's attempt to talk to the guy somehow resulted in him pushing the price up from 2800 yen to 3000... preposterous!

And that was when Yang stepped in with her own brand of "diplomacy" as she gave the man a hard-looking stare before whipping out her phone and making a call. "Hello, driver? Yes, the man at reception is giving the young master and company a hard time.... Yes, bring the car around." Her eyes slid to oji-san, giving him a dirty look. "And a few of the boys as well..." That seemed to get the message across pretty well, as the clerk at the counter quickly relented, although their victory was short-lived as after checking the customer registration computer and finding that all booths were fully booked.

"Uh, how long do we have to wait before a booth becomes available?" Jen asked, noticing Fuu and Mitsuko leave from the corner of her eye. "You know, I think I have a plan..." Jen whispered into Yang's ear. The plan was simple - she would slip to the rear of the establishment through the back alley, locate the circuit box for the karaoke joint and cause a power trip by shutting off the earth leakage circuit breaking for one of the booths - but only long enough for the patrons inside to get fed up and leave, and then restore the power before they get someone to investigate the so-called "power trip" And then Yang can simply step up and book the booth that just got vacated.

That being said, Jen grinned slightly after revealing the plan, hoping that it was to Yang's liking.

"The soonest one is..." He clicked around for a short moment and answered, "47 minutes."
Yang pressed her tongue to the back of her front teeth, looking displeased at the situation. Then, Jen inconspicuously whispered her plan, eliciting a few slight nods from Yang. As sound and intricately thought-out as the idea of it was, Yang still had no clue what the other two were up to. And it un-eased her a little.
The stern faced girl could only return Jen's enthusiastic grin with a small frown.
"We'll just have to see." She whispered lightly.

~*~

"A!" Fuu gasped, wide eyed and watching Mitsuko's body grow limp. Slapping the side of the girl's cheek Fuu whispered desperately, "wake up wake up wake up, a! ... Cold..." Fuu felt, pressing her hand up to the girls face. She inhaled a deep breath, pursing her lips together and rolled up the sleeves on her white blazer.

Yang glanced at Jen. Fuu and Mitsuko had been gone for over 5 minutes now, and she was thinking about letting Jen work her magic on the fuse box. But just as she was about to give the clear,
"Hey.. There were four of you when you came in here." The clerk spoke, looking up from his screen. "Where are the other two?"
"Restroom. They needed it urgently before we got here." Yang answered without hesitation, "I'm thirsty." She said, looking at the small fridge behind the counter. "One bottle of water for me please... And you?" She cast a fleeting glance at Jen.

THUMP THUMP THUMP-THUMP ...
Mitsuko's body was lying flat on the floor now and Fuu was sitting beside her, desperately doing 30 compressions. Trying to revive her, but with no luck so far. What was she to do...? Fuu stared at the girl for a moment.. before abandoning the chest all together and looking down at the boyish girl's face, licking her lips and bracing herself for the squeamish action that she was about to perform... Her own heart was beating as fast for two people... And then there was the sound of footsteps coming around the corner.

The staff had walked out of the private room, carrying a tray of empty glasses and bottles of korean beer. She turned the corner, and suddenly stopped when she spotted something.
"What's this?"
Balancing the glasses in her hand, she bent over and picked up a pink flower from off the floor.

Meanwhile, in the dark, Fuu ran her hand through her hair and was shocked when she didn't find a flower there to adjust. Lucky for her, the door of the maintenance closet was unlocked and she was strong enough to drag Mitsuko in with her. It also helped that Mitsuko was small enough to lay on the floor without her feet sticking out of the room. Fuu only had just enough time to breath a sigh.

"Ph-PHew, ya."

Meanwhile, in one of the nicer and therefore slightly larger kareoke rooms, a group of five men were enjoying themselves as they took turns singing badly into the microphone provided. They must have been buisnessmen concidering they were all wearing smart suits, minus the blazers and with the shirts untucked and ties loosened for comfort. It was weird that buisnessmen would be in an establishment such as this at this time however, as it was way within the usualy working hours of the day. Perhaps wherever they worked was having a half day, or maybe they were simply skipping work entirely today. Whatever the case, they were using this room, the one the four girls wanted, and so they had to be removed.

“Eh give up Jiro! You aint going to get any better so you can quit hurting my ears!” One of the men laughed loudly, almost falling off of the sofa and spilling his beer in the process, prompting the other four men to burst out in laughter at the sight of this although they were already laughing at the one called Hiro’s bad singing. The one called Hiro stopped singing at this man’s command though he appeared pretty annoyed at having his singing insulting in such a way, he immediately started waved his microphone in front of this man’s face in a threatening manner, leaning over him somewhat so as to put him on the spot.

“Well if you think you’re so good then why don’t you give it a..” The one called Hiro replied angrilly though he cut off mid sentance as his gaze drifted over his work collegue’s head and towards the floor behind the group, “What the heck is that?”

Alerted by this the other four men got up from where they were sitting and turned, facing the direction of where this Hiro had pointed them towards. In the middle of the room a small white section of light was begening to radiate upwards, followed shortly by a shrill humming which raised in volume, graduately at first but soon it was enough to faintly hear from behind the door leading out into the lobby. Before the men could investigate further however this small section of light moved upwards, revealing itself to be the figure of a young woman which appeared to be made of nothing but translucent light, Mitsuko’s astral form which had raised upwards through the ground as if it weren’t even there.

---------------------

The door to the kareoke room leading out into the lobby slammed open and the five men darted outwards as fast as they possibly could, clutching their blazers and beers as they ran in a mad panic on their way towards the front entrance. They seemed terrified, so terrified that they didn’t even notice the two girls Jen and Yang as they passed them.

“GHOST!! IT’S A GHOST!!” One of the men screamed as he ran, stumbling as he headed out of the entrance and tripping down the small step. He landed on his back out on the street outside and rolled across the sidewalk some before quickly getting back up to his feet, within seconds dissapearing completely as the five men took off like bullets to get away from the Kareoke joint as quickly as they possibly could.

---------------------

Without any warning there was a sudden burst of light that for a second lit up the entire maintenance closet, it appeared to radiate around Mitsuko, appearing from the air surrounding her and in a split second moving into her body, dissapearing within her. With the dissapearance of this light Mitsuko sat bolt upright, coughing and sputtering wildly as the effects of returning to life overcame her. It started off with an awful desire to cough even though there was nothing obsctructing her breathing, followed quickly by a tingling sensation as her blood began circulating her body once more, causing her to shiver rapidly as her body was still increadibly cold.

Mitsuko always hated returning to her physical body after she had extended her astral form, she knew she had to immeidately after revealing herself to those buisnessmen inside of the kareoke room they wanted however otherwise she might risk being spotted, which would cause too much panic and would probably have jeprodised their chances of getting the now empty room. What she didn't know right now though was where she was right now, last thing she'd knew she'd sat down in an empty corridor and now she was sitting on the floor of a very small very dark room.
