A blazing of horns and screeching of tires echoed across the center of the Hyakuji downtown area, a cab had stopped abruptly in the middle of the road forcing several other drivers to come to a sudden halt, causing quite the commotion as onlookers turned their attention to watch the ongoing situation. The cab door opened fiercely and from within the driver stepped out, he was what some might consider a very scary looking man, physically imposing in build which was exaggerated by the fact that his face was stark red with anger. The man briskly walked around his cab and opened up the trunk to reveal two carrier cases before yanking them out with sudden and brutish force, tossing them underarm in the process onto the road behind him causing one of the cases to open up in the process. As he did this the back door of the cab opened up and a girl jumped out to confront this man, she also sported a look of anger but standing under five feet tall she was hardly what one would describe as imposing.

“Heeey what awe ya doiiin!?” She yelled, her tone filled with distress, “It sonly Te’en Thousind aye cin get ya it lataaaa”.

Her pleas however did nothing to shift the driver's resolve, after closing the trunk he walked back around the car, slamming the back door along the way before getting back into the drivers seat, slamming this door soon after. With that the cab sped off down the street, leaving the girl in the black hooded jumper and jeans with her carrier cases in the middle of the road with several angry drivers blazing their horns to go along with her screams. The girl didn't seem to notice this commotion however and instead decided to pick up her belongings, a few items of clothing and some odd assortments of buttons, before placing them back into the carrier cases where they rightfully belonged. She then picked them both up, sighed deeply, before walking onto the sidewalk allowing several very relieved drivers to continue their journey to wherever they were so desperate to get to.

“Aye dawnt need theis, Aye’ll jus’ wawk..” Mitsuko groaned softly to herself, keeping her head downwards to avoid the stares of the pedestrians who had watched been watching her. She was now finally starting to feel the heat of embarrassment upon her cheeks, hinting that she was starting to blush somewhat. It hadn't really been her fault, her parents had given her enough money to afford a cab to the school but they had seemed to have misunderstood how much cabs cost in this town. At least now she could keep the money for herself, though she really hadn't expected the cab driver to get so angry about her situation. There was only one problem about all of this however and it was starting to dawn on her slowly. Mitsuko raised her head as she walked down the street and look slowly around, sighing once more to herself as her thoughts were confirmed. She had absolutely no idea where she was.

Lately she was starting to feel like actually walking places was a rarity. She was in a hurry often enough lately that she ran to get to places, or made use of the large aeromantically fueled leaps that took the place of flying (which she couldn't yet do reliably). It was a nice change to know that there was really nothing pressing that she needed to do at school, and she could take her own sweet time walking back from work.

Of course, this being Hyakuji, things were often more tranquil from the rooftops or from sixty feet in the air than they were at street level. Chizu had hardly had a walk home that wasn't interrupted by something weird or out of the ordinary. Not everything required actual attention, and by now she found herself more or less desensitized to the madness. Seventeen clowns walking out of a tiny wind-up Volkswagen Beetle? Probably a children's party somewhere. A hurried teenager running through the crowd, literally running through people? Hyakuji student in a hurry. Explosions and bursts of fire everywhere? Probably a battle that she might want to check out.

Simply put, Hyakuji was a weird place to live.

So she really wasn't surprised when she saw a crowd start to gather. What did surprise her (and make her stop and stare) was how mundane the issue was--a nasty cab driver tossing out a girl with no money. In a town where the students regularly fought epic battles against evil, mundane ordinary issues suddenly became novelties. She frowned, folding her arms as she shot the passing cab a glare. Chizu moved forward, picking up a shirt that was still lying on the ground and handing it to the girl.

"What a jerk," she said, running her hand through her hair as she muttered a curse under her breath at the cab driver. "Here you go."

"It's been nearly two month's already... can't you do something about it?"

HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW IT'D BE LIKE THIS?!

"Now I understand how Jameson feels..."

A rare sight indeed to see Seth actually going about his daily life in such a condition. With a cane in one hand to support half of his weight, he limped across the bustling road of the downtown, in his other hand a piping hot red bean bun with two bite mark. Clenched between his fingers was a bag full of even more red bean buns that he had just bought a few blocks away.

Yep. It's almost been two months since the last time he'd seen such a peaceful scenery. Well, albeit the usual explosions in the alleyways and flying turtles overhead, it's been a pretty mellow winter day since December. The detective's office has been rebuilt (which too a surprisingly short amount of time), everyone else had been nursed back to health, and he's sick of hospital food. And he would've gotten away with it early too, if it wasn't for the unpleasant side-effect of whatever V did to his brain a few months ago. No need to get into details, since... yeah. Unpleasant.

Another bite he took from the steaming bun, swallowing it without bothering to chew. Or rather, he forgot to chew, inadvertently causing him to choke. After a few hard slap at his back by a kind random wandering fellow, he raised his head to witness what had caused his little bad luck. A cab driver throwing away his passenger to the ground. Like, literally. Well, literally to the passenger's luggage, that is. The passenger herself was abandoned by the cab driver at the middle of the street.

OI! I know I'm a baddie myself, but that's just too much!

Intriguing. V actually felt sympathy for the stranded person. Well, it really doesn't matter, since Seth himself felt the same. He chowed down the rest of his bun and limped over to the lost one after another person beat him to it. Oh, isn't she Chizu Yamamura? He had seen once. Not directly of course. Uh... if he could remember it well, it was at the school grounds, wearing a Santa costume. And having a furious snowball fight. With someone. ...Okay, a snowball FIGHT may be an understatement.

It was a fuzzy memory from two months ago so eff the details. He was more concerned about having to take out a group of super-soldiers anyway.

"Do you need any help?" He said as he limped closer to the two. On closer inspection, the stranded girl doesn't look like someone from the school. It's not exactly that hard to make a reputation in this school unless you live in a shell all day long. And from the looks of it, this girl doesn't seem to be the type to go for the shut-in style of living. What, after being thrown out from a cab and complaining about the mediocre service shrilly at the top of her voice at the middle of the street in front of everyone, what else do you expect? Ah-hum. "Ah, right... nice to meet you, my name's Seth," He introduced himself with a small bow. A bit hard to achieve with one broken leg. "You must be Yamamura-senpai. I've heard a bit about you-" He said turning towards the silver haired girl, before being interrupted by V.

...!!! OOUUUHH!!! YAMAMURA!!! CHIZU YAMAMURA!!! THE GIRL WHO IS SAID TO HAVE A FORBIDDEN RELATIONSHIP WITH NICKL-

Physically, his face froze, the smile on his face permanently etched there never to disappear again. It took a while before he unfroze, raising his hand making a 'V' sign and said with a cat's grin, "I don't believe the rumor one bit," Figuring it would be best to change the subject quickly and entirely after reminiscing the stories he heard about the white-haired girl in front of him, he turned to the stranded girl and repeated himself without realizing it, "Ah, do you need any help?"

Mitsuko really wasn't expecting someone to talk to her, even though it was probably the honorable thing to do to offer her help in her current situation, she was just the sort of person who didn't like being the center of attention so perhaps her hope that everyone would start ignoring her tricked her into believing that she would be left alone. It was because of this that she caught a little off guard when she heard a voice behind her, its tone directed clearly towards her presence.

Slowly Mitsuko turned around to see a silver haired girl, staring right at her whilst holding a black long sleeved shirt in her hand, holding it out at arms length for her to take. It took Mitsuko a few seconds to respond, partly because she didn't really pay too much attention to her own clothing so wasn't entirely sure if the shirt was hers and partly because she knew that if she accepted the shirt that she would likely be dragged into an irritating conversation with the girl. Reluctantly Mitsuko placed down one of her carrier cases and reached for the shirt, she took it, sighing a little bit in the process. Mitsuko didn't enjoy the bother of buying new clothes so she wasn't exactly going to refuse the shirt simply because she didn't want to talk to her.

“Aoh thaaaawnkyeeeo” She replied, trying to force a smile in the process but with her heart not entirely behind it her lips curved at uneven angles, giving her an unusual appearance of somebody baring their teeth rather than smiling. Immediately afterwards Mitsuko stopped and returned to her awkward stare, once again she sighed softly to herself and stretched her hand up behind her neck, rubbing the top of her back anxiously. She really didn't know what more to say to her, Mitsuko was beginning to hope something would happen to distract the situation so she could stop talking to this silver haired girl. Not that she was really talking to her right now anyway.

Then, as if the angels themselves were answering her prayers, a boy walked over to them both and began talking, asking as if she needed some help. Mitsuko sighed a deep sigh of relief and began to relax a little bit, hopefully this would ease the tension, perhaps the silver haired girl and the boy could go off somewhere together and leave her alone, either way it meant Mitsuko wouldn't have to put up with an anxious situation and that was fine with her.

Her relief didn't last very long though as the boy, who appeared to be suffering from a broken leg, continued talking. Mitsuko wasn't entirely sure if he was talking to the silver haired girl or to her, or perhaps to them both, or maybe just to himself? Yet again Mitsuko sighed, this guy was crazy and very annoying, once again she'd been pulled into a situation she didn't want anything of. One good thing did come of this however as he had refereed the silver haired girl as Yamamura-sempai so unless they were work colleagues, and this was very unlikely as they looked far too young to have full time jobs, they were probably fellow students, hopefully of the school she was supposed to be going to. Mitsuko knew she'd have to interrupt him and try and steer the conversation towards finding out the location of the school, that way it could end and they could all go their separate ways.

“Seo yeaayahhh..” She replied, addressing the both of them whilst rolling her eyes in the process, “Leeeeyook ay'm jus tryin’ ta geyt ta Sheen Hiakyugee Heyigh Scheoooollll, ceoyold eitha ovya sheow mye tha weyay? Ya ceyan jus teyel mye ya dun heyav ta wawk weith mye yor nuthin.”

[[ooc: Oh you probably don't know this, Mitsuko talks in an incredibly heavy Kansai Dialect, which you can imagine as a heavy Brooklyn/New Jersey accent. The reason why I've made it so hard to read is because it's a visual guide for how hard she would be to understand.]]

"Mm," said Chizu in reply, handing the shirt over as the girl thanked her. At least, Chizu thought that was what she said. She talked with a very strong Kansai accent. It was a little difficult for Chizu to translate. "You're welcome." She glanced at the girl's forced smile. It was pretty obvious now that she didn't actually want anyone's help. One of those types then? Chizu wasn't really the right person to complain, since she had once been like that, and she hadn't even been polite about it.

"From Osaka, right?" she asked. "First time in town?"

She looked up as someone else approached, giving her a small bow. She frowned, recognizing him from Arcadia. He was...a sophomore named...oh, that's right. She nodded as he introduced himself. Seth. And he seemed to know her, something that was happening more and more often nowadays. "Yeah, that's right," she said when he asked if she was Yamamura-senpai. She had long since gotten over her aversion to the term, at least when it was used to refer to her. Since she didn't think she was subtle enough to even reference Arcadia in someone else's presence, she didn't ask him about it.

She raised her eyebrow as he mentioned a rumor. "If you mean the one where I'm dating Nickle, that's true," she said. "If you mean the one where I'm having a secret love affair with Tsukasa-sensei that ended in a brawl between sensei and Nickle at the festival, that's a complete lie." The stories had mostly died down now, but the ones that occasionally popped up were getting more and more extreme. She was sure Hyakuji gossip moved twice as fast and evolved twice as quickly as normal gossip, because Hyakuji students couldn't do anything normally.

She turned towards the other girl as she started to speak again. Chizu frowned, trying to make sense of what she was saying. She thought she got the general meaning this time. The girl needed help to get to the school. "I'm heading back there myself," she said. "So, if you like, we could walk together."

Hookay... that's some thick dialect she got there. For someone who had been living in city life almost all his life, deciphering everything in one second may prove to be almost impossible. That is, if it wasn't for the help of the meta-virus in his head, his mouth would be hanging open for words. And, according to V, there's a slight discrepancy in the silver-haired girl's offer for help and what the stranded girl just said.

"Well... I can't stop you if you want to get there yourself..." He said, scratching the back of his head with his cane-free hand. "But, if you must know, this city is, uh... you could call, abnormal. At least, according to someplace OTHER than this city's standard," Which was true. Half a year here and he's learned enough to know that half of the certain something called common sense cannot be used in this place. "Be noted, that wandering alone without any type of protection MAY be dangerous-"

FWOOOOSSHH!!!!

Out of nowhere a football sized fireball whooshed over his head. And it would have hit him squarely over his face too, if it wasn't for the fact that V had taken over his body when the fireball was inches from his face, and ducked out of its way. The fireball hits the ground behind him with a small boom, leaving a smoking scorching mark on the pavement, followed by an extremely loud yell from somewhere they wouldn't be able to reach in five minutes even with super speed: "SOOOORRRRYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!"

Seth straightened himself, watching the burn mark on the ground with eyes wide. Of course, having to deal with this every single day took the fear out of it, as he turned back to the newcomer and said as his hair smoked slightly, "...scratch that. It is dangerous," He patted off the flames that was about to go wild on his head.

“Theyat’s rrrrriiiiiiiiite Osaaaaakaaa heow didcha knnneeeoooowwww?” Mitsuko replied, this time actually smiling rather than trying to fake a smile. It was pretty nice to meet someone who knew about her home town as it made Mitsuko feel a little less home sick. She couldn't help but wonder how this girl knew where she came from though. Maybe, if they were both students from her school and the school in question was a school for children with special powers, she had the power to read minds. Which also meant that she could understand what she was thinking right now. To test this theory Mitsuko's happy smile suddenly switched to a serious glare, the same thought repeating in her head over and over again.

“Thirty six, thirty six, If you can read my thoughts then tell me what number I'm thinking of.”

Before she could find out the answer to her theory though the other student began talking about, causing Mitsuko to sigh in frustration at the sound of his voice. The boy was especially starting to freak her out with his strange behavior and odd happenings that seemed to follow him about. When the fireball soared overhead she jumped slightly, her eyes opened wide with shock, though she didn't really react any more than that as it had happened so fast that it just left her standing with a dumbfounded expression across her face. After a short pause Mitsuko reacted, breathing in before sighing once again, which seemed to be happening more and more today and was her usual response to situations she didn't want to be involved in.

“Aym saaaawwwy aye ceyant understeyand eeyenytheying ya teyoo yar sayin reyelly.” She sighed, “Ceyan ya teyalk seloyer?”

It was times like this that Mitsuko really wished that she'd bothered to study the dialect of this region, she had picked up a book at a library over the summer but it was just too much work to read it all the way through so she'd procrastinated all the way until it was time for her to leave to go to the airport. Thinking about this spurred a thought within her, had she even returned that book? If not then it was still sitting on her bedside table back at home and racking up one hell of a fine, maybe she could get one of her parents to return it for her? But then that would require a call and then she'd have to talk all about the journey. Perhaps leaving it till she could visit Osaka again was the best option after all, if she could be asked to remember to return the book once she was there that was.

"Accent," replied Chizu with a grin and a shrug. She stuffed her hands into the pockets of her jeans. "Actually, it was just a guess, but I had a classmate from back there at my old school. She had the same accent." Except she was a bitch... Chizu thought, but didn't tell the girl that. She had been a piece of work at her old school herself, so she really wasn't one to complain about what everyone else was doing. She frowned as the girl's expression changed to a serious glare, and she raised an eyebrow in confusion.

Mind reading was definitely out of Chizu's skill set. "Y'alright?" she asked. "You look kinda weird..." Chizu's eyes widened as the fireball came out of nowhere and she cursed. The silver-haired girl jumped back, grabbing Mitsuko by the upper arm and pulling her out of the path of the flaming ball of death. "OI!" she shouted, back in the direction of the voice. "Watch where you're throwing these things, you bastards! Dammit!" She released Mitsuko and took a deep breath, running a hand through her short silver hair. "Sheesh..." she muttered, one hand still on her head. She shook her head, turning towards Mitsuko and Seth.

"He said the school's a little on the dangerous side," translated Chizu, talking slowly. "Case in point. But you should be fine. We haven't had any casualties." Among the students. Lately. With a grim frown, she remembered Rozanny and the war against Wo Shing. "Anyway," she said, extending a hand towards the girl. "Chizu Yamamura. Third year. Nice to meet you."

"Well, the school's a bit far off and I don't think you can get there just by walking," Well, she can get there just by walking, but while carrying two big luggage all by herself? Might as well get a cab. ...Oh. Right. She had just been abandoned by one just now. Come to think of it, he had never gotten on one of them before despite having been here for more than half a year already. Most of the time it's just walk and walk and walk, as per recommended by the doctors, both from the city's hospital and from back home.

He shook the paper bag in his hand up and down, causing a bun to hop out of it into the air, in which he caught it with his mouth. He took a bite from it before talking through a mouthful of steamed bun and red bean paste. "Uhm..." Okay, too hard. He swallowed the piece before continuing, "You need help getting to the school?" He needn't have asked, seeing as how he wolfed down the steamed bun before walking up to one of her carrier case, tucked the paper bag under the fingers holding the his cane, grabbed the handle of the luggage and in one swift motion, swung it over and parked it on his shoulder without much of an effort. Yeah, having the weight being supported by his whole body would feel much better than having the whole weight being supported by one of his shoulder. "I'd take both, but..." He glanced once over his cane and flashed a guilty smile, "Yeah,"

He pushed the bag a bit higher up until he felt comfortable enough to walk without suffering any muscle cramps or something like that. As he began to make his way along the road he usually use to go to school, he realized that, "Wait, you never told us your name!" He piped up, turning around to face the Osaka girl.

For some strange reason, the ground quaked ever so slightly. But not to the point where anyone on the streets could notice.

Mitsuko was at first pleased that this girl had been nice enough to decide to talk slower, then immediately regretted it as this meant she could understand what she was saying. The school was a little bit on the dangerous side? What the hell was that supposed to mean? Well it was a school for children with special powers, which apparently involved fireballs, or was that some sort of weapon which was just fired back then? At the thought of this the gravity of the situation dawned on Mitsuko, causing her to sigh a deep sigh of regret and slump down slightly, her arms hanging lightly by her sides. So the students at the school weren’t restricted in their use of their powers? If that was a power she had just seen of course. But if it were a power the two had reacted so nonchalantly that it probably was a usual thing to happen.

Before Mitsuko could complete this obscure train of thought though she spotted the boy lift up the carrier case she had placed on the floor, resulting in him getting a very nasty glare from her. In her hunched over position, glaring with his head to one side with her sunglasses resting on the tip of her nose though the look seemed more comical than anything however.

“Aye deein’t seyaya ceeyod teyutch theyit.” She muttered softly to herself, though rather than speak up about it she decided she didn’t want the bother of telling him to drop the case so said nothing else. It didn’t matter anyway, because now the two were talking about something else which could only serve to bring further annoyance to her, the boy asked him her name, shortly afterwards the girl introduced herself. Did this mean she was supposed to say her name too? Probably, but where did this lead beyond that? Did they expect her to be the best of friends with them both now? Mitusko sighed a very deep sigh and with a look of defeat lifted her hand up, whilst still in her hunched over position, taking the girl named Chizu and shaking it. She’d given up, they would both get what they wanted from her.

“Theya neyaaaame’s Keyoobiyaaashiiii,” She replied, “Neeeyise tameecha Yeamemoora-seeyempie.”

Chizu winced. Her translating skills were pretty good, but she was having a hard time making sense of the girl's name. She decided to go with the most common, since that was the idea that was most likely to be correct. "Kobayashi?" she repeated, hoping she didn't accidentally mess it up. But damn, the girl's accent was thick. She hoped she would shake it off soon, or at least start to sound understandable to most people after a while. Even Chizu had managed to pick up English after living at Hyakuji long enough, so there was hope for everyone.

She frowned, noticing Kobayashi's reaction to her statement about the school being dangerous.

"Ah, don't worry, you'll be fine. Everyone learns to get used to it after a while. You do have some sort of power, right?" She raised an eyebrow at that, watching the other girl carefully. Hyakuji did get the odd student or two that didn't have powers, but they were usually child geniuses or martial art prodigies or something or another that would allow them to fit into a crazy school like this. Of course, there was Spike, but he was the exception, not the rule.

"School's this way," said Chizu, leading her down the street.

As they continued making their way towards the school, Seth had taken it to himself to give the newcomer a little guide around the city, deliberately walking around in circles and taking detours, pointing and giving commentaries about what he manages to learn about the city during his time here.

"...that's the Majikku Mall, and it's easily the biggest one I've ever been in my whole life," He said, grinning slightly, remembering the time when he had visited the gargantuan movie theater. Of course, the small hometown of his doesn't have anything as extravagant as that. "Down the street over there is the bar, Underground 10. Although, I highly recommend that you don't go there," A biased statement, simply because he had terrible luck every time he sets foot into that place. "Ah, see that shop over there? That's the Eldritch Influence. ...uh... there's nothing special about it," He was about to blurt out the fact that the secret entrance to the Arcadia Mansion is located at the backside of the shop. Lucky he had some self-restraint this time.

He moved on, flashing his fingers here and there, continuously explaining about the different parts of the city to the best of his ability. "If you continue down the road, you'll reach the suburban area. There's the small book store... video store.... uh... a combination of anime/manga/model/paraphernalia store. They have all the latest ones, and they kept everything stocked. I've never missed a series~. And you can also find the Willicott Detective Agency. I work there," He said, puffing his chest out in pride, remembering the great adventures he had during his time there.

Of course, giving a tour to the school is time-consuming itself, let alone a tour to the whole city. In the end, feeling particularly exhausted, what with having to lug around a big luggage on his shoulder and with a broken leg, he settled with giving general vague directions as to where every place in the city MIGHT be. Bleh. There's still some other time. Besides, the sun's already setting. "Uh... I suppose that's it about the city. Let's get to the school-"

CRACK!!!

A stray vase had just cracked on top of his head, causing him to go spinny and wobbly and finally, drop to the ground, cross-eyed. Ouch. How did a vase managed to get above his head in the first place though, no one could explain.

~~Somewhere at Yuki Dormitory~~

A girl was sitting at the table, her hand flying around frantically as she glanced around urgently for the container of the flowers on the table that had just disappeared to somewhere in this whole wide world when she was training on making the pencil case on the table in front of her teleport into her bag.

“Eeeeeyeh aye git.. Eh pewuh..” Mitsuko replied as she followed Yamamura, still finding it a little weird that she was saying something like this even though she’d been fully aware she had such an ability for almost three years now, “Bet eyit aint.. Eusfil.. Ernuthin.”

Being led around the town wasn’t exactly Mitsuko’s idea of fun, and it clearly showed through her mannerisms as she followed the annoying boy who seemed to have taken control over their route towards the school. She walked with her body hunched forwards slightly, seeming incredibly disinterested as she rolled her eyes with each new location that was pointed out to her. All Mitsuko could think was; I don’t care. I don’t care. I don’t care. Oh look at that, I really don’t care about that building.

It didn’t even seem like the guy was showing her the parts of the town in order to be helpful and show her places she’d probably want to visit, it just seemed like he was doing it because he liked doing so, or more likely enjoyed the sound of his own voice. The girl called Yamamura seemed friendly and wasn’t that annoying, though at the end of the day Mitsuko really would have preferred to have just been told the direction of the school so she could get there herself. That way she might have saved some time to wind down with some personal time alone, after sorting out where she was supposed to be staying at the school that was.

When the boy turned around and started talking about going back to the school Mitsuko placed her palm upon her face and sighed deeply. She wished either two things would happen, either this guy would shut up or something would happen to make him shut up.

CRACK!!!

Mitsuko lowered her hand down from her face and stared at the boy with wide open eyes, who was now wobbling in front of her, with little bits of broken pottery nestled in the folds of his clothing. What had just happened? Had somebody thrown something at him? Mitsuko glanced around but couldn’t see anyone or anywhere which could likely be the cause of this, to her it was a complete mystery. When the boy fell flat on his back though there was only one thought that was on her mind however.

“eeeeheeeeeh.. Eeeeheeeeeeh..” She stammered, the corners of her cheeks lifting into a smile as she tried desperately to hold back what was coming, but it was no hope, “EEEAAAAAhahahahahahahah!!!! HahahaHAHAhhaaaaaaaaah!!!!”

The shrill nasally laugh seemed to alert several people on the street, who flinched as if they had just been subdued to the effects of someone drawing their long nails down a chalkboard. This included one boy wearing a Shin Hyakuji high school uniform who was currently riding towards the school on a pedal bike, who upon hearing her laughter flinched so hard he accidentally squeezed the breaks, sending him flipping over the top of the handlebars. Mitsuko however seemed completely obvious to this, she soon stopped laughing but had to hold her hand over her mouth to do so, although some small muffled chuckles could still be heard.

Chizu raised an eyebrow at Seth as the boy continued to give the girl a tour while carrying her bag and limping. She had to admit that he was made of pretty strong stuff to carry on like that. She had had to function with injuries many times in her past, but that didn't mean she liked to do it. Her eyes narrowed and she shot him a sharp look as he mentioned Eldritch, quickly relaxing when he said that there was nothing in there. Chizu sighed and stuffed her hands in her pockets as they continued to walk.

"Looks like you're getting the free tour," she said, giving Kobayashi a small grin. "Don't worry if you can't remember everything. There are maps at the school's main office, and everything's on Google nowadays." A thought just occurred to her. She did not want to see the Google street view images for Hyakuji. She fell silent and continued to watch Seth, walking quietly beside the girl. It was obvious that Kobayashi wasn't exactly the talkative type, and while that suited Chizu just fine, it didn't look like Seth had picked up on that.

She looked away and hid a smile at Kobayashi's growing annoyance. It was almost funny.

CRACK!

Chizu's eyes widened and she turned just in time to see a vase materialize out of nowhere and smack Seth in the head. She stared at him, stunned for a moment. Then, the girl beside her started laughing. Chizu cringed. Dear God, did she have a laugh...

She walked past Kobayashi and picked up the bag Seth was holding, straightening up and looking around. There weren't any ledges a vase could have fallen from, but it wasn't as if little things like logic or the rules of physics mattered much in this town. "...Honestly..." she muttered under her breath, looking back down at Seth. "Hey. You alright, or do we need to make a stop at the hospital?"

One does not simply eat one packet of mee goreng
"He's fine, just unconscious. No physical damage detected. Lucky him. He's had his brains messed with enough by me," He said, in a simple bored monotone. Had one been paying any attention they'd realize that the aura he emits, the tone of his voice, his demeanor, all had changed. What, you actually expect him to have Multiple Personality Disorder? Well, he does look like he could be suffering from one. But no. This is V, the meta-virus residing in his head speaking.

He got up from the ground, rubbing at the big lump on his head before standing up, brushing the leftover snows and dusts off his trench coat. He had an annoyed expression on his face, watching the Osaka girl laughing her ass off at Seth's misfortune. For all he knows, she's just some damn-blasted ingrate who would love to get her face a fistful of, uh... fist. He held back, though, as Seth would never forgive him if he ever launches himself at anyone without his knowledge, let alone a girl. He clucked his tongue as he retrieved the luggage and swung it over his shoulder again. "No time to waste. Going to school," He said in a cool voice that was completely absent of the previous cheeriness that Seth never seems to lack.
